Chapter snippet below the cut
The minutes bled together, neither one interested in separating. Sebastian could feel his body responding to the weight of Kurt on his lap and the way his fingertips dug into his back. His mind had gone pleasantly blank, nothing existed in the world except for this room and the boy on top of him.
The pounding on the door ripped them apart, both of them panting as Kurt scrambled off of Sebastian and across the room, a hand pressed to his chest to still his rapidly beating heart.
Sebastian quickly wiped his arm across his mouth and checked his hair in the mirror before looking through the peephole. He thunked his forehead against the door with a soft groan before opening it.
“Took you long enough, you never sleep that he–” Jeff’s sentence cut off when he saw Kurt standing in the corner, arms wrapped around himself. His gaze flicked up and down Kurt’s disheveled appearance and guilty face before he looked back to Sebastian and his kiss-bitten lips.
“Don’t,” Sebastian said when Jeff opened his mouth. “Just don’t.”
Jeff’s eyes darted back and forth between them, his gaze steely. “Blaine needs his laptop,” he finally said.
Sebastian nodded and stepped back to let Jeff in. Kurt hastily collected the laptop and cord and brought it over to him.
Sebastian took the laptop before Jeff could grab it. “Don’t tell Blaine,” he said.
Kurt’s head snapped to him. “Sebastian…”
“We’ve been drinking. Emotions are high. It didn’t mean anything.” He was staring at Jeff as he said this so he didn’t have to look at Kurt as his head ducked in shame.
Jeff looked between them, but he nodded slowly. “I won’t,” he said but there was a clear edge of “but you better tell him.” Sebastian ignored it and handed the laptop over to him.
Sebastian leaned heavily against the door after Jeff left. His mind was racing, all the thoughts he should have had during the kiss flooding his mind.
Kurt touched his shoulder gently but Sebastian jerked away. “Don’t, Kurt,” he hissed, grabbing the bottle of whiskey to try and rinse the taste of Kurt, of shame, out of his mouth.
#oooooooh#i finally get to use it#kurtbastian#and of course as per usual#seblaine#klaine#sebklaine#sebastian smythe#kurt hummel#blaine anderson#daisyishedwig writes#there hasn't been enough actual Kurt and Sebastian interaction to justify it#but now we've got a whole chapter pretty much just about them

Heart Without a Home is now on AO3!
Words: 42.600+
Summary: Kurt Hummel is just another Broadway star and fashion icon who doesn't care about anything around him. But on a cold winter night, he stumbles upon a man who makes him realize his perfect life isn't so perfect, after all.
Kurt Hummel always walks with his head up, because he's Kurt Hummel, Broadway star and fashion icon. He simply assumes nothing will get in his way, so he doesn't bother watching where he steps. Normally, his feet (never wearing anything but the most expensive designer shoes) are only in touch with the New York sidewalks for a brief moment before he's getting into his BMW, or his limo, if he's going to some event. But, no matter what, Kurt Hummel always walks with his head up.
Except for that night.
He had just climbed out of his car and was rushing towards his apartment building when he nearly tripped. For a moment, he thought the cause for his near fall had been the thick snow and the icy edges of the sidewalk, but then he noticed someone was sitting between the steps that led to the front glass doors and a big pot with a miniature tree in it. The man (because it was a man), was wrapped up in a ragged black coat. His head was covered with a multi-color beanie and he had his face hidden against his knees, that were pulled up to his chest.
Honestly, for a moment Kurt thought the guy was dead.
Read it on AO3.

Marley and Sam
I’m aware this is all in my mind
season 4
Sam felt so bad for Marley when they said those things about her mom
He tried to fix things and they started to hang out as friends
They were volunteers in a group to help homeless people
Both of them worked in a pet shop and they played with the puppies when there was no costumers in the store
They were just friends
Marley talked about Jake with Sam and Sam talked about Brittany with Marley
Marley showed Sam her songs and he love them
He was so happy when he asked him and Unique and Blaine to sing with her You Have More Friends Than You Know (god I love that song so much)
season 5
They became closer when Brittany left to MIT
Sam was sad because he really liked her and they were really good friends and Marley tried to cheer him up
Marley took him to a Taylor Swift concert because she knew how much he loved her and she loved her too. She took extra shifts to be able to pay for the concert tickets
They had a lot of fun and after that Sam bought Marley a guitar because she wanted to learn how to play it like Taylor
They are huge swifties
Sam taught her how to play the guitar
Marley’s mom loves Sam because she have dinner at her house all the time after work
They promised to keep in touch after senior’s graduation
Sam send Marley of that bus with a picture of himself in underwear and she was so proud of him
season 6
Sam told Marley he was back to McKinley and they started to hanging out again. Even though she was transferred to another school, she still lived there
Marley was still working at the pet shop and Sam visited her all the time after work
She always talked about how much she wanted a puppy and she was in love with a baby golden retriever from the store
Sam adopted him for her and they called the dog Taylor because TAYLOR SWIFT
Sam felt his heart beating so fast when he saw Marley’s happy face and he found himself thinking about her all the time
She was so happy and she started to think about how much of a good friend Sam always was and how much she loved to spend time with him
Sam asked her on a date and she said yes immediately
They went to a Harry Potter exhibition and they had a blast. Sam bought them Hufflepuff scarfs and wands
One time they went to a picnic in a park and Marley cooked cupcakes for them. Sam sang Love Grows (this is my favorite and now I proclaimed it the official Sarley’s song (except for all of the Taylor Swift’s songs)) and they had their first kiss
By the end of the season 6 they were secretly but Brittany, Santana and Mercedes knew (I don’t have an explanation for that) and they were so happy for them
after I lived
They live together in Lima in the same neighborhood as Brittana and Quick
Sam is Brittana’s children biological father because they needed someone and he offered himself and they thought that was so cute and “he’s hot so why not?”
They don’t have kids but their dog Taylor is like their child
They babysit Brittana’s kids on Brittany and Santana date night. And same for Puck and Quinn
Because they just love kids
They took them to amusement parks and movies and they play games with them at their home when the kids spend the night there
Sam writes notes for Marley every morning like “I love you” “you’re my sunshine” “read me Harry Potter fanfic tonight? Love you” just adorable things
Game nigh at Brittana’s every week (like in all of my headcanons). Santana and Marley prepare the house and cool and Sam and Brittany choose the games and sometimes the fight about it because Brittany wants to play Just Dance every time and Sam wants to play SingStar. Santana and Marley think they are two hilarious kids
They do something new every day and they are just so will in love
They live happy together until this day
send me a character/couple/friendship and I’ll tell you my ✨headcanons✨ about them
#glee headcanons#sarley headcanons#sarley#sam evans#marley rose#THIS IS ALL IN MY MIND#sorry#but I wish this was canon#they are just so cute#Hufflepuffs#I’ll protect them with all my heart to the end of times

He Found A Love [Klaine FF, One-Sided Sam/Kurt]
Summary:
Set somewhere between Born This Way and Rumors. Sam is jealous that Kurt doesn't have a crush on him anymore and is in a relationship with klaine.
Sam had first noticed Kurt when he first entered the Glee Choir Room. It's not surprising. Kurt demands attention. Not in a way Rachel does, with her loud voice and questionable actions. Kurt demands attention silently. As if he knows all he'll have to do is exist and everyone will always just look at him. He dresses like he wants to impress the world, acts like royalty even when he thinks no one is looking at him. During the weeks Sam has spent in the school, he has never once seen Kurt Hummel's facade slip.
But back to the point, Sam noticed Kurt when he first performed in the choir room. Mostly because Kurt had been staring at him quite intently. But Sam hadn't known then, hadn't really thought much about the other boy's glasz eyes, paper-delicate skin, or pretty features. He had just turned his head slightly more to the left and found himself mesmerized with Quinn instead.
It was easier to pin his affections on her. Because Quinn was a her.
He should've known it wouldn't last, though. He spent most of his time, that wasn't being spent chasing Quinn, looking for Kurt, or staring at Kurt, or wanting to talk to Kurt. Kurt had one of the softest voices he had ever heard. At the same time, he also had the coldest tone. He could tear you to pieces just with a few words and then heal you back to health with even less.
And Sam soaked in the attention Kurt gave him. It might be slightly childish but Sam liked that Kurt liked him even if he was going out with Quinn. He was on the football team, had the head cheerleader as his girlfriend, and had the (beautiful) resident gay kid in love with him. It was like he was living in a teen rom-com.
Nothing could go wrong.
But then, well. Then Blaine happened.
Suddenly there was another boy for Kurt to dump his affections onto. And he seemed to like this Blaine kid even more than he liked Sam. He was positively smitten, and while the rest of the glee club might find it cute, all Sam could do was find it irritating.
Because now Sam couldn't look for Kurt and find him looking back at him. Now whenever Sam looked at Kurt, it was to find the other boy grinning at his phone.
He couldn't talk to Kurt without realizing that the softness of his voice was gone. The gentle tone of his voice was reserved for quiet phone calls to his boyfriend in front of his locker in the middle of hallways. Or the parking lot, or sometimes even the choir room.
Sam hated it, but he could tolerate it. And it was fine, because even when Kurt texted Blaine between classes, he had to look up from his phone at some point and look at Sam instead. And just because Kurt wouldn't talk softly to him anymore, doesn't mean Sam couldn't make him laugh with his mad impression skillz.
Yes. Skillz with a 'z'.
But then Finn invited everyone over for game night, and Sam had all this excitement contained in him. Excitement for some undivided time with Kurt (and the rest of the boys, but at least not Blaine) excitement for getting to talk to Kurt. Maybe if he made Kurt laugh enough, Kurt will start using the soft voice with him again. Sam was really just very excited.
And then all his excitement turned to shit when he rang the doorbell to the Hudson-hummel household and a completely unfamiliar boy opened the door.
Sam had never seen him before, but he knew who he was. And he hated him for it.
"Who're you?" Puck asked from behind him, and the boy smiled, all straight white teeth and crinkled laugh lines. He looked like a fucking showman. Sam hated him more.
"I'm Blaine. Kurt's boyfriend."
"Ah. You're the boy my boy is smitten with. I'm Puck. This is Sam, and this is Mike." Puck made the introductions as Blaine opened the door wider to let everyone in.
"It's nice to meet you all. Kurt talk about you. I hope you don't mind Finn inviting me for game night too."
Finn invited him? Finn? Sam felt betrayed. With the way Finn always rolled his eyes whenever Kurt brought Blaine up in conversation, Sam was sure Finn hated the guy. And now he's inviting him to sacred game nights?
"Nah man, the more the merrier." Mike said with a smile, and Sam wanted to gasp dramatically in outrage.
"But the real question is, are you any good?" Puck asked with a smirk.
"I board an all boys private school. Trust me when I say that before Kurt, video games were the only way I could spend my nights and stay sane."
Sam bristled. Before Kurt? How did he spend his nights now then?
Sam was about to open his mouth and say something that was no doubt offensive. Maybe something about the guy's crazy curly hair, or how no matter how dapper he looked or acted, it still wouldn't change that he was still at least half a foot shorter than Sam.
Thankfully, they reached the living room by then, and Sam's attention was completely directed towards Kurt, who was sprawled across the small love seat, his head on the cushion and legs dangling from the arm of the chair. Those beautiful eyes looked up from where he was reading some girly magazine and smiled at Sam (and the rest of the guys, but really at Sam.)
"Hey, Kurt." Sam said and casually took a seat at the front of the sofa closest to the one Kurt occupied. Hah. He inwardly cheered, where you going to sit now, Blainey boy?
"Hey Sam." he said and smiled and Sam preened. Kurt turned to the others, "Hey, you guys."
Sam was still smirking silently as the others answered the greeting, but it dropped pretty fast when he saw Blaine making his way to the love seat Kurt was laying on. There was no space. Where was he going to sit? On Kurt's stomach? But then, Kurt silently raised his upper body up a bit, and Blaine sat on the space cleared, only for Kurt to drop his head on Blaine's lap the next second.
No.
Sam looked around, no body was looking at the two of them. Why wasn't anyone looking at the two of them? Mike just put on the Call of Duty 3 CD of the play station and Finn casually passed the controllers to everyone, including Blaine.
Why wasn't anybody going to say anything about those two essentially cuddling with each other on sacred game night?
"Dude, where's your mom? I thought you said she had a day off?" Sam said after a while. It was to mostly serve as a distraction whilst he tried to shoot at Blaine as subtly as possible. Sure, it wouldn't be good for their team (Blaine was a good player, for someone who's gay) but it was the only thing Sam could do not to snatch Kurt's hand where it was lightly caressing the back of Blaine's neck.
But then again, maybe if Kurt's dad and Finn's mom were home, they wouldn't let their son and his boyfriend act so couple-y and cozy in the middle of the living room.
"She and Burt went grocery shopping. They should be back in a bit."
From where he was sprawled on the couch, Kurt pouted,
"I really wanted to go too. I heard there's a sale on sea food this week."
"Dude, you always grab stuff that no body's even heard of before. And you won't let Burt get the good beer." Finn said as an explanation.
"That's because I would really like my dad to hit his 90s." Kurt snapped back, and before Sam could say anything to back Kurt up, Blaine piped up,
"Maybe they just wanted to spend some alone time together. It is the weekend."
"Grocery shopping? They wanted to spend some alone time together grocery shopping, Blaine?" and Sam snickered. Mike looked at him weirdly for a moment but Sam payed him no mind.
"Hey, come on. You love getting groceries with me."
Kurt was silent for a moment, and Sam's heart dropped, because when Kurt spoke next, it was a whole new level of soft voice.
"Well yeah, but it's shopping with you." Blaine looked away from the screen to grin at Kurt, and on screen his avatar died. Sam killed him. No body noticed.
"I rest my case." Blaine mumbled, and Sam cursed himself for sitting so close, because from this distance, he could hear the awe in Blaine's voice. He could also hear a soft, pleased , almost silent hmm that Kurt let out as a response.
"Hey Kurt, how's the French homework going?" Sam blurted out the first thing that came out of his mouth. And it was a very reasonable thing to ask, in his opinion. After all, everybody knew French was Kurt's favorite subject in school, a school that he didn't share with Blaine. Sam couldn't have thought of a better conversation topic to freeze Blaine out. But it back fired. Again. Because of course it did.
"You don't take French, Sam?" Kurt asked him with an adorable head tilt. Sam's mind went into overdrive,
"Yeah, but my friend, Brett does. He told me that your teacher was kind of really dragging you all through the mud this week."
Kurt scoffed,
"Brett? You mean that boy that smells homeless? I would hardly expect him to enjoy a language as sophisticated as French. I have no idea why he's taking it if he finds even the basic tenses difficult."
Sam didn't know what to say to that, but apparently Blaine did,
"You guys are still on tenses? In your junior year?"
"The rest of the year is. I myself, am already quite fluent. But, I really wouldn't mind someone I could practice it with. I can only talk to myself so much in French."
"You do know that you have a boyfriend who's also fluent in French?" Blaine teased him, glancing at Kurt for a moment before going back to looking at the TV screen,
"You wouldn't mind doing that for me?"
"Of course not. I'll just hit you up whenever I'm studying it, and we can practice together."
How does Sam manage to kick himself so thoroughly?
Before Sam can say something that would inadvertently end up with Blaine and Kurt spending even more time together, he hears the lock of the main door turn, and Mrs.H's voice calling out a sweet we're home! to the boys. Blaine deliberately dies onscreen and both him and Kurt get up to help Mrs. H and Kurt's dad with all the bags. Sam feels like he should help to, but it's probably like his 2nd time at the Hudmel's , and he is predominantly Finn's friend (who himself is still playing) even though he'd much rather be here as Kurt's boyfriend, so the whole thing would probably just be super awkward,
"Oh, Blaine dear, I didn't know you were coming over today! I would've made some of that custard you like so much."
"I hope it's no trouble, Carol. Finn invited me to game night. Plus, dad's off to Costa Rico on business." Blaine grins, "As for the custard, I was hoping you could teach me. Just in case I start showing withdrawal symptoms."
Carol laughs, "Oh honey, if I taught you how to make the custard, I'm afraid we might just not see you again."
"Yes." Kurt drawls, good naturedly, "That's why Blaine's my boyfriend. Because of custard."
"Darn it, you figured me out." Blaine retorts, but pulls Kurt closer to press his lips to the other boy's temple.
"My, aren't you too just the cutest!" Carol sighs and turns to Kurt's father just as he's coming in through the garage, "Aren't they just the cutest, sweetie?"
"Yes. That's how I'm going to end up in the hospital again. Diabetes from my son's relationship." Burt grunts before turning to Blaine with a grin, "Hey, kiddo. Didja watch the game yesterday?"
"Hell yeah. Buckeyes won 25-11. It was awesome."
"Yer damn right, it was. You staying over for dinner?"
Blaine smiles cheekily, "If you don't mind."
"Of course not, we haven't seen you in a bit over a week."
"Yeah, school's been a bit rough. Mid terms are coming up."
And the conversation continues between the four members as they put away all the grocery. They sound like a regular family, with Blaine blending seamlessly with his boyfriend's parents. It's all Sam can do to not groan out loud. If Mr. And Mrs Hummel are so supportive of Blaine and Blaine and Kurt's relationship, Sam can't really see any way to break them up so that Kurt would pay attention to him again.
It's a childish thought anyway. Sam thinks. It's not like he wants to date Kurt anyway. Sam's straight. He is. It's just, attention and hero worship directed towards him is good for his self esteem, regardless of the gender of his admirer.
And Sam admires Kurt, Kurt is beautiful and strong and elegant to the point where it's almost regal. To have someone like that admire Sam had gone to his head way too fast.
And yeah, maybe watching Blaine and Kurt together hurts Sam's stomach a little. But he's pretty sure he'll get over it eventually. Maybe he'll skip some of the Hudmel house game nights from now on. It'll be a step in the right direction.

Slipping Away - Logan x MC
Book/Pairing(s): MC x Logan
Word Count: 1,191 words
Rating: 18+ due to swearing
Summary: This fanfic is based on the scenes that follow after Ellie (MC) is trapped in the Vault.
Category: Mini series
Warnings / Trope: Swearing,
Song: Never Get To Heaven - Sarah Blaine
The Mercy Park Crew are ecstatic that their plan had worked: they had stopped the Brotherhood and they were free again. However, feelings are about to change as Logan comes to the reality that Ellie is in the vault, slowly losing life.
Note: I’m not really sure where I am going with this but I felt inspired, it’s set from my perspective of the next chapter when the crew realise MC is still in the vault. More chapters to be added soon.
Ellie clamped at her throat, desperately trying to breathe as she realised what had happened. The plan was to get rid of Brotherhood once and for all. Her head quickly looked around the room as she saw the dead body of the hostage lying lifeless in front of her with blood pouring out of his stab wound, her eyes darted to Detective Shaw who was also trying to catch his breath. Ellie couldn’t believe that he had been behind this all and had used to her to gain information, played on her emotions and her currently troubled relationship with her father for his own benefit and for a moment, she was glad she didn’t help him. She could sense time was running out as her breathing became more erratic. She thought of her father and how if she could see him one last time, she would apologise and tell him how sorry she was for how she had acted and she loved him. Soon, her mind flickered to each member of the crew and her heart skipped a beat when she saw Logan’s face in her mind. Her mind was remembering every touch, every word and every kiss her and Logan had shared and she felt as though her heart was physically aching: she would die here alone. She wanted to run to Logan and tell him how much she loved him with every fibre of her being and now he made her feel alive but she could slowly feel herself losing consciousness as her throat began to hurt. “Logan...” she croaked gently as her body began to become weaker, losing the will to fight.
——
Logan’s head shot up as he heard familiar laughter coming into the poker room he was sat in. He could hear the crew laughing and celebrating. A relieved sigh left Logan’s lips as he realised he would see Ellie in less than a second. He jumped up as he heard the door open, ready to take Ellie into his arms and never let her go. He watched as every member of the crew walked through the door, cheering at him about their plan being a success and hurrying to leave the building. Logan’s mind raced as he realised Ellie was not with the crew and his heart dropped as his face turned to panic.
“Where’s Ellie?!” He exclaimed, pushing them to the side as he frantically looked behind them for her, wondering if this was just some cruel prank.
“Ellie?” Mona’s eyebrow raised as she looked at Logan in confusion.
“S-she was here. We had a plan to stop you all before you...”
“I told her to leave, Logan. She is not with us, she probably went home.” Colt said, rolling his eyes at Logan, presuming he was overthinking.
“No. She went into the room to find you all.”
“We went to the vault and-“ Logan’s face dropped as Xiema mentioned the vault and the reality of what had happened began to dawn on him. Ellie has gone into the vault, not realising what Colt’s plan was.
“The fucking vault! She’s in the vault!” Logan shouted at the top of his longs, drips of sweat falling from his head as he pushed the crew away to run down the hall. The crew followed him, panicked and confused.
“How can she be in the vault? We didn’t see her on our way there...” Colt shouted loudly so that Logan could hear over his fastening footsteps.
“What did you do to the vault?” Logan turned quickly and stopped to look at the crew who were also beginning to realise how serious the situation was.
“We... put a gas grenade into the vault.”
“Shit! Ellie!” Logan sprinted down to the hall and stopped promptly at the vault door, his hands scrambling the handle to open it, with the thought of Ellie running through his mind. “Help me!” Logan pleaded with the crew, his eyes beginning to fill with tears as he thought about the prospect of losing Ellie, the only girl he loved. The crew rushed to his side as Colt jabbed the keys to open the vault, all of them covering their mouths to hide their breaths from the toxicity in the air. Logan ran into the room, not even covering his mouth as he scrambled to look for Ellie, his mind racing.
He spotted a body wearing jeans and a red top on the floor and knew instantly it was Ellie. He ran to her side, clutching her.
“Ellie?!” He shouted her name as he looked at her, her body was limp and her breathing still erratic but she was unconscious. Logan picked her up, taking her into his arms as he ran out of the room and down to the hall as the crew shut the vault door, before running after him. Logan ran with Ellie’s limp body in his arms to the nearest exit which took him to alley way, the tears rolling down his cheeks. He gently placed her lower body on the floor with one hand whilst taking his jacket off with the other and placing it on the floor, lying Ellie on top. He looked at her, pleading with a God he didn’t believe in that she would come back to him. The crew ran out of the door and stopped, all shocked and all saddened in their own way as they witness Logan holding Ellie in his arms on the floor.
“Ellie, please...” He moved one hand from under him to wipe the tears flowing from his eyes, ignoring the pain that had come from wiping against the purple bruise that overtook the corner of his eye. “I can’t lose you. You’re the only person who has ever seen any good in me, saw the darkness in me and still loved me. Please...” Logan’s cries became sobs as he gently shook Ellie, begging her to wake up. His body collapsed over Ellie, crying quietly as the crew watched, helpless to the situation and also crying.
“This is all my fault... I should never have gotten you into this life. I’m so sorry, Ellie.” Logan whispered to Ellie, shaking his head as the guilt washed over him for bringing her into such a dangerous lifestyle. It wasn’t supposed to be this way. She was just a pawn at first, something to use for his own gain. Until he started to really see her and began to fall head over heels for her, which never happened. Ever since Logan’s mother was imprisoned and he had never heard from her, the absence of his father, the homelessness he experienced until Kaneko found him and the ultimate realisation that Logan was just a replacement for Colt. Logan had no one, he had his crew, but all he ever wanted was one person to truly care and love him, something he’d never had before and he had found that in Ellie.
“I know this is stupid,” Logan quietly laughed between the tears,” but I googled what your name meant and Ellie means shining light and that’s what you are, Ellie. You’re the light in my life.”

A call to Sebastian Smythe is his last resort, and maybe the one that actually starts to make things better.
I can't believe how close we are to the end of this story. I'm so excited to share the final chapter with you as soon as possible. The final scene has been giving me problems so it might need more time, but we're almost there!
Chapter snippet below the cut
“I kissed Sebastian,” he blurted out, cutting Blaine off mid-sentence.
Blaine froze, looking at him in confusion. “What?” He said, stunned.
“Last night when we got drunk together. We - we had a bit of a heart-to-heart and I just…I kissed him.” Kurt looked down at his lap, his hands twisting together.
Blaine’s eyes darted around the room like he was having a hard time processing what Kurt had said.
“We’re both so sorry about it. It didn’t…we didn’t mean to. It just happened.”
Blaine’s eyes were distant as he stared past Kurt’s head. Did…did he kiss you back?”
Kurt nodded, the anxiety in his chest cinching so tight he could barely breathe.
Blaine blinked like he was trying to pull himself back together but couldn’t quite manage it. “Was it…” he cleared his throat, “was it payback? For what I did?”
Kurt’s head shot up. “No!” he cried, “of course not.”
Blaine looked like he didn’t fully believe him.
“We - we were just talking. And he…he told me he loved you, and he just looked so sad. Like he was fully resigned to…well, to losing you to me. And I couldn’t stand to see him like that and it just…drunk me decided kissing him was the best way I could comfort him in the moment. And it was stupid and we immediately regretted it and I am so sorry.”
Blaine looked more present even as his brain was still trying to process what was happening.
“I need…I think I need to go…somewhere.” He stood up slowly and gathered his things.
“Blaine,” Kurt tried, but Blaine just held up a hand to stop him.
“I’m not - I’m just confused, okay? I need to clear my head.”

Hey, I'm trying to find a fic that I think you might know. It's Kurt/Blaine and the only line I remember from it is "I am very brave"- Kurt finds a homeless, teenage Blaine under a bridge in the snow. Gives him some food and gloves, before taking him in. Blaine runs away at some point to deal with himself, before coming back. It's a very lovely, soft fic, and I'd love to get my hand on it. Any ideas?
Sorry I didn’t get back to you sooner! I absolutely know this fic, it’s where I get the title of my blog. It’s called Hearts and Homes by beautifulwhatsyourhurry :)
Here’s the link - enjoy!

many in US struggle to pay rent. Their stories.
The National Multifamily Housing Council found a 12 percentage point decrease in the share of apartment households that paid their rent through April 5.
Last weekend, Apartment List surveyed 4,129 people and asked whether they were able to pay their mortgage or rent on April 1. The result: 1 in 4 renters/homeowners did not pay it in full, and of the those people who were unable to make their payment, 45 percent of renters and 44 percent of homeowners reached an agreement with their landlords or lenders to defer or reduce their payments.
Most state and local governments are putting evictions on pause as states prepare to pay unemployment and the federal government prepares to send stimulus checks. So for most, April’s knock won’t come with a notice to get out.
A roof over the head is one of the most basic needs in life. Without money for rent, how can the other bills get paid? And while many will get a reprieve in April, eventually the rent comes due, whether or not the restaurant, plant, or construction site reopens when the COVID-19 threat lessens.
Here are some of the stories of Americans trying to make the rent, this month and beyond:
At 21 years old, Jade Brooks pulls in her family’s only full-time salary, working at a hospital switchboard.
Brooks’s mother just lost her job at a health insurance company — a casualty of the plummeting economy. She’s found part-time work at the hospital, but between them, they make only $400 weekly after taxes and insurance, Brooks said. Their rent is $1,810.
During sleepless nights, Brooks worries most about her 8-year-old cousin, who lives with them.
“I don’t want her to grow up in a homeless shelter, having to sleep in a bunk bed with other people, asking why we have to stand in a long line to get a room to sleep in, why we have to stand in a long line to get food, why she can’t invite her friends over,’’ Brooks said. “It’s hard to explain that to an 8-year-old.’’
— Michael Casey, Boston
Itza Sanchez knows she can’t make her $400 rent for April. She’s praying to the Virgin of Guadalupe that she doesn’t get kicked out of her Richmond, Va., mobile-home park.
Sanchez made her money searching for and recycling scrap metal and selling tamales in a heavily Hispanic neighborhood. Fear of getting sick has stopped both income streams.
A single mother of two who emigrated from Honduras to the United States 14 years ago, Sanchez’s 7-year-old daughter and 11-year-old son have been eating lunches delivered to the neighborhood by schools and depending on churches for other meals.
“I’m basically penniless,’’ Sanchez, 39, said in Spanish.
She hasn’t heard from the landlord about what will happen if the rent isn’t paid. So she keeps praying.
“May she help us. May the Virgin put her love over us and help us.’’
— Regina Garcia Cano, Washington
Andrea Larson made $70,000 a year curating wine lists and suggesting pairings to customers at 5th & Taylor. But the popular Nashville restaurant closed its dining area, and working as a sommelier isn’t something Larson can do from home.
The first unemployment check was $275 for a week. Larson said she was humiliated but applied for food stamps.
“I’m screwed financially,’’ Larson said. “If I do pay my rent, it’s going to eat into my food money.’’
Larson, 42, moved from a high-rise downtown apartment to a house in east Nashville four months ago. Rent was cheaper. She planned to pay off debt and start saving. Instead, she called credit card companies and said she couldn’t pay the minimum.
Larson’s restaurant offered a few shifts answering phones for takeout, but she figures it’s not worth the risk of getting COVID-19.
“I do wine, and nobody wants to hear about wine right now,’’ she said. ‘‘They just want to chug it.’’
— Travis Loller, Nashville
Roushaunda Williams was able to scrimp and use credit card cash advances to pay the $1,850 rent for April for her two-bedroom Uptown Chicago apartment.
But the rent comes due again in 30 days. Can she afford a smaller apartment in her building if one’s available? Should she move in with friends if they’ll let her?
“April 1 isn’t even here yet, and I’m already working on what I’m going to do for May 1,’’ Williams, 52, said.
Before being laid off, she made drinks and chatted with people from around the world for 20 years as a bartender at the Palmer House Hilton Hotel in the heart of Chicago’s downtown Loop.
Her income depended on tips — in the best times, she’d make $70,000 to $100,000 annually. Now, she’s on unemployment for the first time and searching for work.
— Kathleen Foody, Chicago
Tnia Morgan shares her Baltimore County, Md., town house with her 18-year-old pregnant daughter and 18-year-old nephew. And they all spend a lot more time together since Morgan was laid off March 6 from her job serving food at a hotel banquet hall.
Morgan’s landlord told her to take her time with the rent, but it isn’t the only bill piling up. She ticks them off: car payment, car insurance, cellphone, Internet, water, gas, and electricity. And she always has to buy food, so tough choices are ahead, especially until unemployment benefits kick in.
Morgan, 39, has checked on getting food stamps and looked for work at stores and warehouses with no luck.
She appreciates her landlord’s kindness this month, but she knows he needs her rent money to pay his bills.
“If I don’t pay the rent, it falls on him,’’ Morgan said. “We can’t be evicted right now, but eventually they’re going to want their money.’’
— Michael Kunzelman, Silver Spring, Md.
Bartender Luke Blaine was laid off when the downtown Phoenix restaurant Fez closed, but he’s not too worried about rent — yet.
He shares his small adobe-style home and backyard garden of tomatoes, beets, squash, radish, lettuce, and eggplants with his boyfriend, Kyle Schomer. Schomer still has his job in technology and works from home.
Blaine, 30, figures unemployment will kick in. His car is paid for, and he owes little beyond a small credit card balance.
Blaine credits his thrifty nature to his family. And that’s whom he worries about most these days. His mother and sister are nurses in Illinois, not far from hard-hit Chicago.
“It definitely is nerve-racking having your family on the front line,’’ Blaine said.
— Anita Snow, Phoenix
Ruqayyah Bailey’s life had balance — so important with her autism — before coronavirus.
She was going to college and was a part-time cafe cashier. She couldn’t wait for the Special Olympics in March, to run and compete in the long jump and shot put.
But the virus closed the cafe, canceled the meet, and ended the community college’s personal instruction.
Bailey, 30, of St. Louis County, was dipping into savings for food and other necessities, so she’s moved back in with her mother. She hopes it’s temporary and she can get back to her apartment, with its $400 monthly rent.
“I had to suspend my Internet and my cable,’’ Bailey said of her apartment. “It’s tough because I’m so used to being there in my own little space.’’
— Jim Salter, St. Louis
Jason W. Still was let go from his job as a cook, and he’s found one small benefit: He hasn’t spent as much money since he’s inside most days.
Still and his wife — who works in packaging for a marijuana dispenser in Spokane, Wash., — should be able to make April’s rent as they wait to see what he’ll get in unemployment and from the federal government.
Still, 30, worked at a high-end restaurant and just finished the last classes for his bachelor’s degree. Now he’s applying for graduate school to study environmental economics and public policy.
In unemployment, he has a lot of time on his hands. “I’ve seen corners of my house that I didn’t know existed.’’
— Anita Snow, Phoenix
It’s a lousy choice, but an easy one for personal trainer and apparel designer Sakai Harrison — food in the refrigerator over April rent for his Brooklyn apartment.
Harrison, 27, moved from Atlanta to see whether he could succeed in the toughest place in the world. And he was on his way, with 20 clients training one on one.
Then his gym shut down with the rest of the city. And the $1,595 rent is due.
“The way I see it, the whole world is on pause,’’ Harrison said. “I’d rather allocate my money towards my actual survival, which would be food.’’
An acquaintance is letting Harrison use a basement as a makeshift gym. It has dumbbells, a bench, and a punching bag left by a previous tenant. Harrison wears disposable gloves and keeps his distance. A few clients keep coming, but not as many as before.
“My clients are like my family, for the most part, especially in New York, because I’m here alone,’’ he said.
— Aaron Morrison, New York
Tinisha Dixon was homeless before she moved into her current apartment and is now struggling to make the rent.
She said she was about to start a new job at the State Road and Tollway Authority. But the job was put on hold, thanks to the virus.
The rent bill of $1,115 is due whether she’s working or not. It covers the apartment near downtown Atlanta she shares with her partner and their five kids. Dixon, 26, said she’s trying to braid hair, and her partner has sought work as a security guard.
Dixon’s landlord had gone to court to evict the family before the coronavirus. Now she worries not making April’s payment will strengthen that case.
“Are we going to be out on the street when this is over?’’ she said. ‘‘Because this is what we’ve been fighting for this whole time, not being back out on the street.’’
— Sudhin Thanawala, Atlanta
With help from friends and a nonprofit, Jas Wheeler can pay April’s rent. But Wheeler and their partner just bought a house down the road in Vergennes, Vt., and the first mortgage payment is due in May.
“I am just really just trying to pray,’’ said Wheeler, who hopes to see unemployment checks soon but worries the system is overwhelmed with so many people out of work.
Wheeler was laid off from a bakery. The 30-year-old thought about a grocery store job, but they don’t want to risk exposure to the coronavirus. So for now, they’ll wait to see whether the bakery reopens.
“I would rather just get an unemployment check and ride it out … I’m really thinking at the end of all this whenever that is, I’ll be happy to get any job that I can get.’’
— Michael Casey, Boston
Neal Miller is refusing to pay April’s rent, to make a point.
Miller’s last stable job was as an adjunct professor at Loyola University in Chicago. He recently was working temporary jobs, until that dried up, thanks to the virus.
Miller, 38, shares a house on the west side of Chicago with four others and pays $400 of the $1,500 monthly rent.
Miller and his roommates decided to join leaders of Chicago activist groups calling for a rent strike amid the virus outbreak.
“We wrote a letter, sort of stated our situation,’’ Miller said. “We’re still waiting to hear back. We’re not sure if that’s a good sign or if that lack of response means we’ll be hearing from a lawyer.’’
– Kathleen Foody, Chicago

compiled list of headcanons for one Mr Sam Evans ! some have already been posted but have been tweaked in this post for clarification / better wording . ( template not mine ! )
SEXUALITY & AFFECTION .
Sam is 100% pansexual. There’s absolutely no doubt about it in my mind.
Those feelings were closeted for a very long time, pushed very deep down. Not because his family were homophobic (which they weren’t/aren’t) but because it was unacceptable in his old school. Sam went to an all boys school and there were very few gay people there and they were bullied insistently and physically / mentally / emotionally abused.
If Sam was experiencing feelings of attraction or arousal during his time at that school, he did a damn good job of hiding it. Pretending that it didn’t exist.
When Sam moves to McKinley, he begins to realise that being gay is okay. That being anything other than straight is okay. Kurt was his first example of that and then Blaine. They were definitely the two most important role models for the first few years at McKinley.
Even though Sam is incredibly accepting of other people’s sexualities & genders, it took a much longer time for Sam to come to terms with his own sexuality. Hence why he was always so skittish whenever asked about his sexuality, especially from Blaine.
Eventually --- canonically, around the end of Glee S4, Sam finally comes to terms with his sexuality. After a lot of confiding in his close friends (Blaine included) and a fair amount of time spent googling, Sam finally had a term for what he felt. Pansexual. Sam isn’t really a big fan of labels, never has been --- but it felt really good to have one in that moment.
He is absolutely shyer with boys than he is with girls. Boys make him twice as nervous as girls do because he has far less experience in dating boys or anything to do with boys in general.
That being said, Sam will do his absolute best to learn. To be better at it. Though he’s not afraid of being seen in public holding a boys’ hand. He does know what the world is like surrounding the LGBTQIA+ and he knows that people suck but he isn’t ashamed of who he is anymore. He isn’t ashamed to completely know who he is. So he’ll absolutely hold his partners hand in public, will kiss them in public too.
RELATIONSHIPS .
Any kind of romantic relationship makes Sam very, very, wary. He’s incredibly cautious & nervous about them and it takes a fair amount for Sam to even consider entering one after everything he’s been through with the McKinley girls.
Sam has a fair amount of abandonment issues, along with trust issues and some other baggage. To begin with, Sam is incredibly clingy and worried. He panics and overthinks, which leads to Sam convincing himself that he’s doing something wrong --- that he isn’t enough, that he deserves to be cheated on.
He would absolutely rather pine over someone that he likes as opposed to telling them straight to their face. Mostly because he’s terrified that the person will make fun of him for it or shun him because of the fact that his entire life story has been spread throughout McKinley high. (homeless, stripper, etc.)
It takes a long time for Sam to work his way out of the bad mental space regarding relationships because of how many times he’s been cheated on before. He will get out of it, it just takes a while for that to happen.
That being said, though, when Sam does enter a relationship --- he enters it completely. 110%. When Sam loves someone, he loves them hard and with everything he has. Sam Evans has a very, very, big heart and it shows when he’s in a relationship with someone. Hell, it shows in his friendships.
Even though Sam doesn’t have a lot of money, he will still do his absolute best to spoil his partner. Not having much money means that he needs to get creative with date ideas and anniversary/Christmas/birthday presents. He likes to think he does a pretty good job.
Sam is an incredibly loyal boyfriend. He is incredibly caring and very sweet, very considerate of his partners feelings. He is also very, very, sensitive. Proof of point: when he was kissed in canon by that photographer while he was dating Mercedes, he cried immediately afterwards because he felt so guilty even though he didn’t kiss her back and had no intention of kissing her back, either. He owned up to it immediately, too.
APPEARANCE ( trigger warning for eating disorder mentions ! )
Sam’s hands are very rough & calloused. Both from playing the guitar non stop as well as lifting weights every single day. Some people think that his hands are soft from first glance but they definitely are not. He has a lot of callouses along his palms.
Sam is tall. About six foot one. Around 140lbs or 10 stone. He’s very close to being underweight for his height. The reason being that Sam has an eating disorder. See more about that HERE, if you’d like.
At some point during Sam’s twenties, he realises that he has a problem (with the help of friends depending on the verse) and decides to seek help for it. It’s a lifelong problem that isn’t going to go away with a snap of his fingers, as much as he wishes it will but going to therapy does help along with a few other methods. But the problem will always be there and he will always have a very, very, complicated relationship with his food.
While he might look skinny / unhealthy, he is muscular. He works out pretty regularly (sometimes to the point of fatigue/dangerous levels) and it shows. He has minimal body fat because seeing any kind of body fat/rolls/any kind of sign that he’s fat or overweight (even if he isn’t) gives him really bad body dysmorphia.
Sam’s nail beds are pretty much ruined by the time he hits twenty one. The skin around his thumbs are pretty gross looking, too. He bites/picks at his nails and bites/picks at the skin by his fingernails, a tic & sign of his anxiety.
WORK, HOME & SCHOOL LIFE .
Sam has had quite a few jobs in his lifetime. Granted, they were all pretty short term & paid pretty abysmally but they were jobs nonetheless.
At one point while Sam was in the Glee Club, he also joined the swimming team for a while, as well as the football team (and had the quarterback position for a while). Not to mention the fact that he regularly volunteers at homeless shelters for no other reason than the fact that he can (although he somewhat knows what it’s like to lose the roof over your head). He also worked at Dairy Queen, was a night time pizza delivery boy and was also an exotic dancer.
He might look lazy, he might look spacey and distracted but nobody in the world can convince me that Sam Evans doesn’t work fucking hard. He was doing all of this to try and maintain his status at high school (re: popular kid) as well as bring in enough money to help out with the rent for the motel room, groceries each week & anything that his siblings might need (school books, shoes, shirts, etc).
Speaking of the motel room ... the motel room that Sam and his family stayed in wasn’t all that big. There was one double bed in the room, with a very small TV and a dresser. There was no indication as to whether or not there was a kitchen (I assume there would be, however small) or a bathroom (again, I assume there was - it was probably just very small). That motel room was bursting at the seems, given that it was intended to sleep two people and instead had FIVE in there. The double bed would have been for mom and dad and there was a small fold up bed to the side, which I assume would have been for the kids to sleep on in the head & tail position. Sam wouldn’t have let his parents or his siblings sleep on the floor, which left only him to sleep on it. All the while working, attending Glee club as well as other after school clubs & acting like everything was fine when it clearly wasn’t.
Sam absolutely does the same thing that Fiona (Gallagher - Shameless) does in regards to saving up money. He works as many side jobs as he can, preferably ones that are cash in hand & hire under 18s, then puts the funds in a pot and hides it away, makes sure to write down how much he earned that night and keep a tally so that he knows what they can afford for the week / month, in regards to bills and other household needs. He doesn’t buy things for himself, he can’t afford luxuries even on a good payment - everything he earns goes towards his siblings care, his parents and the house/motel. He always runs himself down and stretches himself as thin as possible to make ends meet and to make sure that his family have food on the table because he’s the only one of the three kids that can legally work.
PERSONALITY .
Sam is insanely loyal. To the point where, if he trusted you, he would follow you into battle (or an equally dangerous situation with little to no care about himself). He is an insanely loyal friend, will always protect them and be by their side & defend them when they’re not there, to bullies and the likes.
Unconventionally smart. Doesn’t really understand much about the real world & its details but can name all of the hobbits in Lord of the Rings as well as nearly every character / spell from Harry Potter. Likes to use fictional situations and apply them to the real world and nine times out of ten, it works.
Cares far too much. Has an incredibly big heart. Always working on himself, always working to become a better person with better ideals. Very open minded and accepting of everyone in the world. Is full of tons of love, even after all that he’s been through. Hasn’t let the world corrupt him too much just yet.
Funny. Likes to make jokes, likes to do dumb impressions that he knows are cheesy or a little bit stupid so long as it makes his friends smile because that’s all he wants to do, make his friends laugh, smile & forget their problems for a minute or two.
Not much of a talker but a very good listener. Will listen to your problems and try his best to offer up some kind of solution or advice. Very empathetic, will try and put himself in his friends’ shoes to understand their problems if possible.
Compassionate. Full of excitement. Loves to be around his friends. It gives him energy. Isn’t so much a fan of strangers, though.
HOBBIES .
Sam is really really good at Macaroni Art (as seen in Guilty Pleasures).
He is also pretty damn good at playing the guitar. Nine times out of ten, he only has to hear a song play once or twice before he can play it almost perfectly on the guitar.
Not to mention the fact that Sam is a big ass nerd. He loves playing Video Games. No matter the console. Most of the time, he’d play on his friends consoles when he was invited over for dinner or for a sleepover. His family couldn’t afford a console of their own for a long time.
Pokémon is one of his all time favourite games to play, along with Mario Kart, Super Mario Brothers & The Sims. He likes a lot of games but those are definitely his top contenders.
He likes playing board games, too. Like snakes & ladders, monopoly & checkers.

[text]: i love you so fucking much
She loved him?
The man who ruined her life? Was the reason she didn’t marry a man, a better man, who adored her?
She loved him. Who very nearly killed that man. Who succeeded in killing another one of her lovers.
Who killed countless other innocents. Those who were homeless. Those who had a rough time. Those who were orphaned, or ran away from toxic home environments. Not too dissimilar from the one he himself grew up in, only without the privilege.
He should have empathized with those kids, tried to keep them from going down the path he did.
From going through the pain that he did.
He wasn’t Major, though. He wasn’t a social worker, he wasn’t a good guy.
He was the guy who sold them beers, and drugs. Who corrupted them, and killed them, and profited off of it...
...How the hell could she love him? Why did she? ...She had to know she was better off with him gone. That it was toxic, unhealthy. That he had done too much that was unforgivable. If she truly didn’t blame him, was able to look beyond that? ...What did that say?
Now that the memory restoration cocktail was kicking in, he fully understood why Ravi had despised him. Peyton aside. He was a bad person. Not a good person who did bad things, or was a product of his environment. No, it didn’t matter what Angus did... what Frau Bader did...
It was an insult to all those kids who were abused to blame it on that. That didn’t give him a pass, just like the amnesia hadn’t. He may not have had a prayer, but he had a choice. Even if he had found himself cut off, forced to turn to dealing to make a buck...
He made his choices. No one forced him to kill people. To extort them. To... give up their most basic and precious freedoms, like with Natalie.
God, it was sick. He was sick. He was evil.
In her voicemails, Peyton had reiterated that he wasn’t that person anymore. That he didn’t have to go back to his old ways, that even with those memories he was a new man.
Was he? The old Blaine had ‘died’ with the amnesia, but now... he was back. It wasn’t even like it was a split personality, no... his personality was the same. It was the memories. He was still witty, he liked to think. Certain traits like the greed and ruthlessness and such? He had forgotten the experiences that had made him the dick he was, so he wasn’t a dick... he liked to think. Now that he remembered it all? Was he that way still? Or that way again? It was so... grey. Confusing.
Yet Liv loved him? Wanted to stand by him, help his sorry ass through it all? Reconciling it? There was no reconciling. No rationalization. Even if he wouldn’t do it now, he had did it all then.
...She loved him. So? He had murdered the only person who had ever loved him before. He might have told himself he was suffering, that it was for them both to get revenge, but...
...It wasn’t worth it. Even before Don E told him about Angus, he had known it wasn’t worth it. He had broken down, realizing it. Even the old Blaine recognized himself for what he was. A monster.
Who knew him better than he knew himself? Liv? ...No, she was biased. She was hopeful. She was so incredibly stubborn, she didn’t care about the fact she deserved better. So if he had to break her heart? For her own good?
...Just another thing on the list of terrible things he had done, to her in particular. Couldn’t get any harder to live with himself, could it?

[Image ID: a screenshot of a tumblr message that reads: “Hello, I hope you are still running the page. I know I am a bit (very) late to the fandom. But I would still like to explore what does exist. I am actually looking for some particular kind of fanfiction. Most of the fanfics I read have Blaine being a hero, rescuing Kurt who is shown as a damsel in distress. I would like to read the opposite for once where Kurt gets to be the hero (like maybe save Blaine from an abusive relationship, etc.). I hope you can recommend me some stuff :)”]
Thanks for asking! Hope you don’t mind me answering this way. It’s just easier for me to organize my thoughts like this. A few fics come to mind right away. I hope at least one of these is to your liking. If anyone has any fics that fit this description to add please reply/reblog. Enjoy!
Midnight Confessions by Chazzam [AO3] (57, 646 words rated Explicit)
A Thelma and Louise Klaine AU with some serious liberties taken (and NO major character death). Kurt convinces Blaine, his best friend, to take a break from his emotionally abusive husband and spend a weekend with him in the mountains of West Virginia. But when they stop for some drinks along the way, things take a horrific turn.
And then things start to get interesting.

A good, old-fashioned slave fic where Blaine is a slave at auction. I'd like some serious hurt/comfort. Maybe Kurt is at the auction accompanying Finn, who's looking or maybe he's just curious about the market. He doesn't intend to buy anyone but then he sees Blaine, beaten and bruised but beautiful and about to bought by someone that Kurt knows is cruel.
He buys Blaine and takes him home. No healing cock please. Blaine is damaged and skittish and Kurt is a good guy who wants to help him. The rest is up to you.
