Throwing a little Aziracrow headcanon out here:

In the Vietnamese language, pronouns are used very differently. If your talking to someone who’s older than you, then you have to call them “Anh“ or “Chị” (depends on the gender) and if you’re talking to someone who‘s younger than you, then you have to call them “Em”. This also works in workplaces.

So my headcanon is that Aziraphale calls Crowley “Chị” and Crowley calls Aziraphale “Em” because I think that Angel Crowley was above Aziraphale in the Hierarchy of the Angels plus I think Aziraphale is ‘younger’ (aka was created maybe a minute after Crowley) than her. But after Aziraphale became the Supreme Archangel, Crowley started to call him “Anh” because he’s now higher in the ranks. Aziraphale does not like that and finds it kind of weird to suddenly call Crowley “Em”

Haha yes I am Vietnamese I would like to say that I hope in the future troll movie they would recognize V-pop (Vietnamese pop trolls) since there was a K-pop in the trolls movie world tour but I am just so curious to know what Vietnamese trolls would look like cause I would be a Vietnamese pop troll myself haha anyways yes of course I will make brozone headcanon on a Vietnamese troll speaker!

A little background so Let’s just pretend: there is a tribe in the trolls village so far away that no trolls has ever heard of it not even Queen Barb or Queen Poppy has ever heard of them.

They are known as the V-pop trolls (Vietnamese pop trolls) but there’s not just pop Vietnamese trolls there’s also Vietnamese music genres that the trolls lived in V-pop village with the Viet pop trolls.. let me explain

You have the ca trù trolls: these trolls are also a Vietnamese genre of music their singing style is storytelling with origins in the northern part of the V-pop Village it mostly lead by a female trolls vocalist…

Then you have your Chầu văn trolls they are also in the northern part so they are close to the V-pop trolls village their style combined with singing, dancing and playing instruments with rhythm,pause and tempo.

There’s Vietnamese folk music trolls they fall under almost all of the genres that I mentioned

Then you have your cải Lương trolls: they are like a reformed theater trolls is a modern version of folk opera in V-pop village and they are spoken with drama and sometimes is so touching you would cry….

Again, all of these trolls genres all live under Viet pop village so they’re not separated from the other trolls genres there is more Vietnamese genres but I’ll explain more when I talk about brozone and meeting a Viet-pop troll.

-This dude has been traveling around the trolls village for the past 20+ years alone and when he came across a super isolated village he went to see what the village is about.

-when he came to the village he saw so many beautiful ancient decorations and he noticed that the trolls looked different from his own kind so John began to explore the village a bit further

-He also noticed what those trolls were wearing how some of them wore different outfits as he went farther into the village he saw how some trolls wore this long beautiful dress called a áo từ thân (it was a common dress in the north part of the Village) as he walked farther he also saw how some also wore a short version dress called a ao ba ba (which was common in the north) to remind you again all V-pop trolls and their differences Vietnamese genres all live in one village but there’s a different path way to get to a certain place in their village that what John Dory was doing

-As John headed back to where he came from he also noticed how some trolls wore modern Ao Dai it was so different than what he saw the other trolls wore when he was exploring the village

-As John came across to this folk soft like music playing as he saw this beautiful trolls wearing a modern áo dài playing a Vietnamese folk music with a instrument called “đàn tranh” Vietnames string zither he was so touch how she played it so softly he never heard anything like this before

-John came up to you and said Hi but he noticed that you don’t speak any English you understand some English but you couldn’t speak it very well

“I really like the instrument you played I never heard anything like this before.”

-You sat there and smile at him he insists that you keep playing that Dan tranh so you did and he immediately falls in love with the sound of it

-John will try his best to speak Vietnamese even if he doesn’t pronounce it right but at least he is trying and he won’t make it sound like he’s making fun of your accent or language

-He will try any Vietnamese food even if it sounds weird to him he doesn’t want to be rude even if it tastes bad he probably kindly declined it next time if anyone offered a dish that he doesn’t like

-he will definitely wear a male version of the modern ao dai he will never want to take it off and he would probably buy some for his little brother when he see them again especially bitty B who he misses dearly…

-Over the years you and John have help each other he helped you with English so you were comfortable with speaking it and you helped him with Vietnamese and teaching him about the culture and he so grateful that you offered him a place to stay and teach him about your culture

John: “Cam ơn Em (Thank You so much! [Y/N]) for taking care of me over the past year I’ve learned so much about your culture I will miss you and I hope I come back to visit you again soon!

Y/N: No,I should thank you anh John Dory you taught me English I will miss you a lot but please do come back soon anh! You gave him a hug before he leaves for his another adventure

-John will definitely bring some of your culture back to his brothers and pop village he would share what he learned and the instrument that you taught him how to played

-After brozone broken up spruce had traveled around not like John Dory did but he was walking around to escape his life and never returned back to his boy band days he hear a very beautiful instrument playing..

-As he saw a beautiful female trolls who wore a Ao từ tuần who was playing a two string guitar known as the “Dan Nguyen” as spruce was interested so he sat down waiting for you to finish once you finish he would applause him being a heartthrob he would go up and start a conversation with you

Spruce: hey,Great guitar you got there I think you played such a wonderful job I never heard that kind of music because I’m Spruce what’s yours name I never heard any music like this before like ever I need to know more.

Y/N: Thank you! I’m [Y/N] and this guitar is called Dan Nguyen it been in my family for many generations my grandpa gave me this before he passed away his last wish for me is to play this and have everyone hear it is my grandpa way of showing other trolls our culture we lived in a very isolated part of the trolls village called V-pop. You smile sweetly at him

Spruce: I’m sorry yo hear that your grandpa passed away. (He dose not think twice or anything on how you ended up here all it matters that he really wants to know more about your culture)

-You agreed to helped him learn more about your culture and your music over time spruce change his name to Bruce because he wanted to leave his boy band days away and you were proud of him for doing that.

-He love every single Vietnamese foods that’s out there he will learn how to make Vietnamese food he will probably open a restaurant a Vietnamese restaurant some where on vacay island

-He learns how to speak Vietnamese pretty quickly every words he pronounced it was just on point if he ever step foot into the V-pop village they will mistaken him as one of their own kind because of how good his Vietnamese is also he could and will sing all kind of Vietnamese genres out there just to make you happy more like impressed you with his Vietnamese skills that he learn from you ☺️

-He will definitely bring some of the Vietnamese culture that you taught him back to his brother when he see them again

-After being cut off from the rest of the trolls during the bergens escape clay and other trolls were finding a place to stay as they were looking he heard something or more like some one playing a beautiful instrument.

-Clay was worried that the bergens will hear you as he came closer to you he saw you wearing a Vietnamese hat called “non la” and you were wearing a beautiful white plain Ao dai he mistken you for a ghost because of your outfit

-you also played the Dan Ty ba which was a traditional orchestra which made clay even want to come closer to you

-as he heard you sing Vietnamese folk music he really liked the sound of it he was worried that the bergens would hear you but it kinda sounded quiet when you sang it

-Clay got closer he introduced himself to you and you did the same

-Overtime you lived with the Putt-Putt trolls until you can safely make it back home or that what you hope but you became homesick over time you didn’t hate the putt putt trolls or anything but it was missing something that was apart of you your whole life

-Clay often noticed you feeling homesick and how you miss your family he would often see you cry or hold onto your “non la.” Also how often you would sit by yourself playing a sad note on your Dan Ty ba

-He would want to make sure you’re alright

Clay: hey, [Y/N] are you alright I’ve been noticing how upset you looked is something wrong is okay you can talk to me about anything?

Y/N: I’m just homesick, being away from my family and my village really takes a turn Vietnamese music and culture is apart of my life growing up I really like it here with you and Viva and the others but sometimes apart of me is missing

-As you got up and walked away crying clay felt very bad he knew he had to do something to make sure you feel safe as much as he wants you to go see your family again but he doesn’t want you to get eaten by a Bergens

-Clay would spend all his time despite being a licensed CPA he will spend his time reading and learning how to speak Vietnamese and more about your culture

-Like Bruce clay learned how to speak Vietnamese pretty quickly his pronunciation was perfect cause he spend all his time reading a book on how to speak Vietnamese for beginners

-He would also learn and also have the other putt putt trolls pitch in to cook/make the place feel like home to you

-It would take viva hours trying to get you out of the house as you finally agreed to as you came out you heard music not any music it was the music that reminded you of your home and your people you began to cry tears of joy and give clay a tight hug…

Y/N: Oh thank you thank you so much Clay you didn’t have to do all that for me but I really appreciate you all pitch in and took the time to learn my culture and my people my family would be so proud of me

I cried when I was writing clay part because it deals with being homesick and I understand that feeling I live in the state when I go to Vietnam for a vacation when I had to go back I would spend the entire plane ride crying and brawling my eyes out so seeing a troll like clay who would go beyond the way to learn your culture makes me smile so much.

Floyd:

-Traveling alone to start his solo career he came across to this soft and beautiful sound

-as he went closer to where the sound was he came across a ancient village known as V-pop village just like John did he noticed how each different trolls tribes wore different outfits

-But suddenly Floyd heard the instrument played again as he got closer he saw a beautiful girl played such soft instrument called “Dan bầu” is a Vietnamese string instrument but then it hit him when he heard you sing “Cải lương” Floyd never heard anything so soft and yet touching

-Being a sensitive troll that he is he can’t help but cry on how good it sound he may not understand what you’re saying but something about the rhythm just makes him cry for days because it was like a blend of Vietnamese folk song and classical music as-well

-Overtime, Floyd would learn Vietnamese his pronunciation wasn’t good but wasn’t as bad as John was but he try to sing cai luong and also learn how to play the Dan bầu but fail the others trolls made fun of him but you offered to helped him

-You gave Floyd a private lesson on how to play the instrument overtime he was getting pretty good and you were impressed with his skills

-Overtime his Vietnamese pronunciation got even better to the point he can finally sing cái lương you were impressed how much he has improved he thanked you a lot for helping him he couldn’t have learned that without your help

-Once he left the village he would take something special back with him which was a new skills and learning a new language all together thanks to you.

-After saving all music kind from Queen barb with Queen poppy as all the music genres came together as one it only took him a second to see a different kind of trolls

-He saw you with your beautiful black hair and you were wearing a beautiful modern áo dài with your non la you were walking around shopping for fruits

-Branch would go to poppy and ask her if she seen any other troll like you before because something about you was different from the other trolls and their music

-One day he finally came up to you and introduced himself to you and you did the same he didn’t know how to start the conversation but you knew what he wanted to ask so you got straight to the point

Y/n: I’m a Vietnamese pop troll I know it seems crazy but we lived in a isolated place in trolls village we have different genres of Vietnamese music just like you guys but I’m a pop troll just like you guys but the only difference is that I sing in Vietnamese

-You would have to demonstrate to branch and sing Vietnamese pop music in Viet which he finally understood branch was so interested in learning the Viet pop style so he asked you if you could help him

-Branch started off not pronouncing any Vietnamese words correctly you didn’t mind because you know he didn’t mean at anyway to make fun of your language but still you helped him through it

-Overtime, his pronunciation gotten better and he was able to sing a whole Vietnamese pop song without messing up the words

-Branch learned so much from you and your tradition and he also hopes he can share this wonderful music and culture with his girlfriend Queen poppy and the others trolls in the village aswell his brothers if he ever sees them again

-Branch also adore the traditional outfit you put him in which is a modern male ao dai just like John he would ask you to make some for his brother aswell for Queen poppy which you happily agree to do

How Luke Acts With a Crush Headcanons

((I don’t know why, but I really like this gif of Luke and imagine this is how he hugs you whenever he walks into a room, too))

He’s in complete awe of you the moment he meets you. He stares, dumbstruck, for a moment before quickly regaining control and introducing himself with a warm smile. If you’re a Jedi or Force-sensitive, it takes him twice as long to control his expression and he tells you how excited he is to meet someone with similar abilities.

Whenever you’re in the same room (especially if you’ve been apart for a while), the first thing he’ll do is seek out your presence—both through the Force and he’ll just be glad to stand close to you, gently rubbing a comforting hand across your back or shoulders.

If you were friends with Leia and/or Han before, they definitely knew what they were doing when they introduced the two of you and they tease Luke about it constantly.

R2 is always “accidentally” bumping into Luke from behind to push him closer to you.

Chewie has a penchant for group hugs and likes to hug you both at the same time and squish the two of you together (he 100% knows what he’s doing).

The first time you hug him, he can’t control the smile on his face and holds you tightly just a little too long. He gives great hugs already, but makes sure to really let you know just how much he cares by squeezing you tightly and leaning his head against yours. Once he releases you, he’ll keep holding onto your hand until you’re out of reach.

He’s always hyper-aware of your mental state via the Force. If you’re having a bad day, he’ll gently approach you and ask if there’s anything he can do to help. He’s more than willing to give you space if that’s what you need, but will gladly take you somewhere, buy/make you something, or just spend quality time with you to lift your spirits.

Has been known to do the Dumbest Shit™ just to see you smile and hear your laugh, which is now one of his favorite sounds in the galaxy. Even when you laugh at his expense, he can’t be embarrassed too long and laughs along with you because the sound fills him with so much joy.

When he overhears you telling Leia whether or not makeup is your thing, he shyly says, “You always look great.” He seems a bit surprised at himself (was that out loud?), but then gives you the sweetest smile before turning his eyes to his shoes.

The first time you compliment him (whether it be looks or talent), he turns bright red before laughing and suddenly becoming very interested in the floor as he thanks you and gently rubs your upper arm.  

He’s 110% supportive of any talent you have. Whether it’s skills with the Force, a lightsaber, blaster, engineering, piloting, etc., he always compliments you and when the situation calls for it, makes sure everyone else knows just how talented you are, too.

The first time you all go to a fancy party to give Leia moral support, the poor guy literally. Can’t. Function. He stares at you open-mouthed and wide-eyed and has to resist the urge to pull you into his arms or gently brush your hair out of your face. He stutters out a “you look…I mean…wow” before Leia helps him out with a laugh, muttering at him to close his mouth when you turn away.

You catch him staring at you frequently and he always looks away, sometimes at the weirdest places and you can’t help but laugh. There were a few times he even fully turned around as if inspecting the ceiling.

The younger he is, the more puppy-like he is in his admiration. ANH!Luke is horrible at hiding his feelings and it’s very obvious to everyone around him that he’s head over heels for you. ESB!Luke is a little better at it, but not by much and still very awkward. ROTJ!Luke is the best at it and has become a bit smoother with age, but still has his moments (more than he’d like to admit) where the shy farm boy comes out and he’ll do or say something super obvious.

He’s silently very attentive and when he realizes you’ve been paying just as much attention to him, his heart threatens to beat out of his chest. The first time he was a bit sad around you and you showed up with a cup of hot chocolate for him, he gave you the biggest smile and even stood to hug you before taking a sip and letting you know how perfect you made it.

This man is a master at puppy eyes. When he thinks no one’s looking, he’ll stare at you with the most lovestruck look on his face. Every time you catch him, his eyes will widen slightly and he’ll try to pretend he wasn’t looking.

If there’s anything on your face, he can’t help himself and just has to gently brush it off with his thumb. When you meet his eyes, he’ll awkwardly explain something was on your face before mumbling an apology and going back to whatever he was doing.

Whenever someone else flirts with you, Luke’s age really determines how he reacts. ANH and ESB!Luke sulk like nobody’s business and get a little irritated at whoever was flirting with you. ROTJ!Luke isn’t irritated or pouty so much as watching your reaction to see whether you’re into this other person. If it seems like you are, he’s a bit sad but lets you make your own decision. If you’re not, especially if they’re crossing your boundaries, he’ll step in with a gentle but firm, “I don’t think they’re interested” before guiding you away from the person.

Along those same lines, if this person really isn’t taking no for an answer and getting aggressive with you, Luke snaps into Anakin-mode in a way that startles even you. He isn’t aggressive back, but there’s a clear warning in his eyes with a firm hand on the other person’s shoulder as he silently turns them around and gives them a little push to walk the other way. The few times the other person has tried to start a fight with Luke, he quickly disarms them after making sure you’re out of harm’s way. Afterwards, he’ll come up to you with the most gentle concern in his eyes and ask if you’re all right, offering to give you whatever you need to cheer you up and reminding you that you deserve much more respect.

He lights up like nobody’s business whenever you come into a room and will clear/gently pat the space next to him for you to sit.

Even if you don’t return his feelings (but seriously, who wouldn’t?), he’s so happy to just be your friend and show he still cares for you. All he wants is for you to be happy and is ready to accept if it’s with someone else.

But if you’re, you know, a sane person and do return his feelings, he’s ecstatic when he finds out. He has a huge smile on his face and pulls you into a tight hug, gently lifting you off your feet for a few moments.

Meanwhile, Leia is banging her head against the wall in the background and grumbling, “took you long enough.”

BUBBLES!!! okay first um are you okay babes???? I'm kinda worried about you so please keep me updated and tell me how you're feeling!

I promised a headcanon today so here I am!! and I'm gonna talk a bit about Ellie (because she's baby <3)

So you're welcome to expand as much as you want but basically, in my mind, Reader/you and Ellie are very close. There is this very nurturing and motherly bond between the two of you even if you're close in age and you're not her mom. Just like Joel, you feel the need to protect her and make sure she's okay but you actually are open about it. Joel adores her but he's quite clumsy with his feelings and their relationship is just based on the both of them 'acting tough' With you, it's different and when you arrive in Jackson, your caring nature becomes even more indispensable than before. You may ask why as you're all safe, you have a house, food, etc...but because you're not surviving anymore you have to find a new rhythm, discover what 'living' means and for a kid like Ellie who only knew the cruel, harsh world within the QZ, it is particularly difficult. She can't form a bond with children her age and she's also deeply traumatized from the different tragedies in her young life. And she relies on you a lot. I'm going to use the word 'clingy' but really, not as a negative remark. It's just that her development is a bit...backwards? Her early childhood until her teenage years were spent in force independence when she needed love and stability the most. So now that she has this 'stability' she finds herself completely lost and she doesn't know what to do, all she can hold on to is you. Of course, you allow her and encourage that behavior because it's important for her to feel safe and to finally have this 'normalcy' you've known from your early years. Anyway, you have a very close relationship with Ellie and it quickly became a habit that she slept with you while you were camping. Nights were often very cold and it was easy to get scared in the middle of the forest so naturally, you started bringing your sleeping bags together. That habit certainly didn't stop once you arrived in Jackson. Every night, you would take some time after dinner, etc...to tuck Ellie in, make sure she knows she can tell you anything she needs to talk about, remind her you and Joel are right down the hall and kiss her goodnight. Ellie will probably never admit it out loud but the attention and the love you give her make her feel all sorts of ways, it's so pure she almost wants to cry when you treat her with a gentleness she's never been accustomed to before. There are some nights though where Ellie feels worse than others. Sometimes she wakes up screaming from a nightmare and you and Joel found yourself rushing to her bedroom, holding her until she calms down. Sometimes, she wakes up randomly in the middle of the night and she just can't sleep. Sometimes she just needs you. Like tonight.

Anh let's break it down.

She's seen way too much for a 14 year old. Done things that no kid should do at age like that as well. Of course it had scared her. Being an orphan, loosing people she loves, never having anyone to lean on had left her broken. So the fact that you, someone who had shown her emotions aka love, care, affection and so on. You are her main source of comfort. Cause now after 14 years of trying to survive on her own she actually has someone who cares.

It scares Ellie though. Probably even more than Joel but since she's a child she very naturally leans to the nurturing mother role that you hold. Because everything in her body is telling her that that's safety, that that's where she wouldn't have to be afraid. For that fact alone I think that the whole adaptation period in Jackson where everyone is like pufff there's nothing to be scared of here would be extremely hard for her. Because big walls, lots man with guns might read safe for most but it ain't for Ellie. So she requires your nurturing even more. She gets worried more easily, her brain still searches for bad things, for a way that she could lose this all.

I think you would be sleeping with her for the first week or so. The room feels strange, the hallway to your room is way too long and way too dark. She's not used to staying in a house. The sheets fell weird. Everything is way too comfy. I feel like you would find her on the floor the first couple of nights. And no matter how much you'll try to convince her to sleep in the bed, she just wouldn't do it. So you have little sleepovers on the floor instead.

You and Joel encourage Ellie to speak about the fears in head. Both sharing your own worries and how communicating them to someone you trust is a great way to let it go and to see a different perspective. But there's never any pushing in it. It she just wants to sit in silence that's what you three will do. Joel is big on taking her out to the farm so she could be around animals. Sticks around to watch her pet them and feed them. Challenging her to a pun war once in a while.

although i normally like to separate my headcanons by verses (modern/sw), i’ll be going with sw only for consistency this time.

NAME: han solo / han ‘jonash e.’ solo NICKNAME(s): captain, general, scruffy-looking, nerfherder.  han has a particular fondness for nicknames, especially when they come from strangers or casual acquaintances.  it isn’t out of any desire for familiarity or a closer connection—far from it.  the truth is, the fewer people who know, hear about, and remember his real name, the better.  it’s a layer of anonymity that keeps him comfortably one step ahead. RELATIONSHIP STATUS: timeline dependent. single. GENDER: cis male. ROMANTIC ORIENTATION:   pansexual.   giving him a label only because i have to.   han is unabashed in what he likes, and he’s open to pretty much anything, be it men, women, enbies, aliens etc. PREFERRED PET NAMES: n/a.     the occasional endearment or pet name is fine, maybe even welcomed if it’s the right person.  however, if that nickname / pet name ever starts to fully replace his real name, it’s a different matter entirely lol  han will quickly grow to resent it, preferring instead to hear his name or, better yet, no nickname at all!

OPINION ON TRUE LOVE: han doesn’t believe in “true love” and there is no way to convince him otherwise.  you’re either gullible or stupidly naïve if you believe in it.  his deep-seated mistrust of anything intangible, anything he can’t see or feel for himself, defines much of his character and disposition, so until he experiences “true love” firsthand—a prospect he’d probably instinctively fight against—he’ll remain unconvinced. OPINION ON LOVE AT FIRST SIGHT:  again, han’s beliefs are grounded in experience.  he’s never known what it’s like to fall in love at first sight and his tendency to keep people at a distance—whether intentional or not—places love and romance at the very bottom of his priorities.  this isn’t exactly a very welcoming mindset, y’know?  however, i will say he might concede to the magic of second glances.  in other words, although the notion of “love at first sight” ultimately remains dumb and bewildering to him, he might find himself seeing someone in a new light after some time has passed, which is about as close as han will ever get to the notion of “love at first sight”. HOW ‘ROMANTIC’ ARE THEY?: this isn’t the first time i’ve grappled with this question, though it has been a few years since i last attempted to answer it.  my core beliefs remain unchanged, but i’ll admit that my perspective has broadened over time.  while han solo might not initially strike one as the most romantic guy out there, i’ve come to view him as one of the more romantic characters in the franchise—albeit from a certain point of view. consider his actions, from daring rescue attempts to insanely self-sacrificing stunts: 1) facing the empire to rescue a captured princess, 2) at the end of anh, when he pivots the falcon, he endangers himself, his ship, and his best friend, all to save some wet-behind-the-ears farmboy 3) riding out ALONE into a dangerous blizzard, armed only with his tauntaun, minimal gear, and with night falling fast, to search for luke, his totally platonic ‘guy friend’. han’s behavior in the first two films alone speaks volumes about the man he truly is and the lengths he’ll go to for the people he cares about.   this, despite his best efforts to convince everyone and their frickin’ moms—and maybe even himself—that he’s only in it for the money / himself / XYZ-excuse.   the stark contrast between his words and his actions is honestly confusing as hell but kinda super endearing if you ask me.  i really want to say more, but i might just make a separate post about this topic if anyone’s interested in reading it lol

IDEAL PHYSICAL TRAITS: this is a tough question to pin down when han isn’t looking for that. he isn’t even the type to actively seek out a partner unless it’s for a one-night stand, and those are rare—so rare, in fact, that he could count those encounters on one hand.  trust issues run deep with han, and given his line of work, physical attraction alone isn’t worth the risk of putting himself in a vulnerable position—and i mean that quite literally              okay, okay, sorry, back to the point: physical appearances don’t matter much to him.  the most i can say is that (alien) humanoids are the best case scenario, but even that isn’t a hard and fast rule.  what he does appreciate is a pretty face, regardless of whether it belongs to a man or a woman.

IDEAL PERSONALITY TRAITS: honesty and loyalty are non-negotiable.  they’re the bedrock of any relationship, romantic or otherwise.  if a person can’t offer him these two basic essentials, then as far as he’s concerned, they’re not worth his time.  everything else is just icing on the cake.  han values people who are adaptable, independent, open-minded, genuine, spirited, decisive, and expressive. UNATTRACTIVE PHYSICAL TRAITS: when it comes to body type, han isn’t looking for an armful of skin and bones, but he’s also not interested in getting crushed by someone with jabba’s physique...  height isn’t much of a factor, either.  look, if they can handle themselves and keep up with him in a tight spot, then they’ve got his attention, okay? UNATTRACTIVE PERSONALITY TRAITS: han isn’t much different from the next guy.  traits like cruelty, pretentiousness, and manipulation are instant red flags.  but if there’s one thing han absolutely cannot and will not tolerate, it’s someone trying to control him or dictate how he should think and feel.  given his upbringing and the years he spent under the oppressive thumb of an emotionally + physically abusive parental figure, it’s understandable—though deeply rooted in past trauma—that he bolts at the first sign of someone trying to exert control over him. lastly, narrow-mindedness / close-mindedness is notably unappealing to him as well.  corellians have a reputation for being worldly and open to new experiences for a good reason, as their adventurous spirit and hunger for the stars led to the invention of the modern hyperdrive.  to han, narrow-minded / close-minded views aren’t just unattractive, they’re a glaring mismatch with the very core of who he is.

IDEAL DATE: ‘dates’ are so far removed from canon!han that i just kinda sat around thinking about this for way too long lol first off, this is super timeline dependent. overall, han doesn’t do dates—not in the traditional sense. with him, dates are so casual they barely qualify as dates at all. unless he’s genuinely falling for someone, you’d be hard-pressed to get him to agree to a one-on-one outing that feels like anything more than a casual hangout. admittedly, he might not even realize what he’s doing. the truth is, han avoids anything that could lead to the kind of solidified promise a real relationship demands—and no, commitment isn’t the issue, it’s everything that comes with it. the idea of meeting their friends, their parents, moving in together, planning for their shared future… it all feels like a slow march toward an inevitable crossroads: either break up or get married. neither of those outcomes sit well with him. ofc, this is until someone lovely comes by to make him want a future with them p: DO THEY HAVE A TYPE?: han is the sort of man who likes learning to love the unique aspects of his partner, the little things that set them apart from a sea of faces.  but if i had to pin down his ideal type, it would be someone who can match him in every sense—quick-witted in conversation and just as sharp in a fight ( an “ordinary citizen” would either bore him or scare him ).  he’s captivated by those who bring excitement and spirit to the table, someone who thrives on adventure and isn’t afraid of the unpredictable turns life tends to take. independence is key.   han values someone who can stand on their own two feet, who doesn’t rely on him for every little thing.  if they lean on him too much, or expect him to be their rock at every turn, that’s one surefire way to push him away.   in short, even if he cares for them, if they can’t adapt to his lifestyle—let’s be real, settling down isn’t exactly on his to-do list—he’ll cut ties, believing it’s best for both of them.   han is always on the move, and anyone who can’t keep up is bound to get left behind.

AVERAGE RELATIONSHIP LENGTH: good luck getting him to even consider using a label, let alone willingly. PREFERRED NON-SEXUAL INTIMACY: the list is extensive: cuddling, napping, hugging, cooking together, eating together, basically spending quality time together doing XYZ!!!   but it’s important to note that unless he has very strong feelings for them or is in love, these gestures won’t come naturally to him, and he might even try to wriggle out of offers/requests with a well-timed change of subject or even abruptly remember he has something to do before frantically running away lol COMMITMENT LEVEL: i’ve talked about this several times over the years but i’ll happily say it again bc this conflation makes me go absolutely feral: han’s reputation has always been besmirched by fans who struggle to mark the difference between fiction and reality.  i adore harrison, but his playboy ways back in the 80′s, bled into han’s image as a character.   once han falls for someone, he becomes exceptionally loyal and deeply committed. OPINION OF PUBLIC AFFECTION: despite what many might assume, han is a fairly reserved man.  in his younger days, this reservation stemmed from a entrenched reluctance to be openly vulnerable, coupled with the awareness of how dangerous it could be to flaunt a romantic interest in a world where potential threats lurked at every corner.  when he’s older, particularly after the events of ROTJ and beyond, this wariness evolves into a personal preference for privacy.  at this stage in his life, he’s general han solo, the dude who helped bring down an empire.  the spotlight is something han never quite grows accustomed to, and it grates on him more than he cares to admit.  public displays of affection are minimal, limited to holding hands or, at most, a quick kiss on the cheek. 2. Favorite canon thing about this character?

Luke - I think I love his sense of duty. Like, at the beginning of ANH he has all these goals and big dreams, but he stays because Beru and Owen need him and he knows that. It's a thread that carries all the way through to his confrontation with Vader, too, and it's just such a good character beat, I love it.

Leia - I really love how Leia is 110% heart only just barely covered by her temper. She's driven and passionate and she cares so much, to her very core. Given how much she feels about everything, I can imagine Bail didn't have much of a choice but to wind her up and let her go, even in the Imperial Senate. She's only a teenager when the OT starts, and she's still one of the main figures of the Rebellion. She's just amazing.

3. Least favorite canon thing about this character?

Luke - Hm. Maybe the fact that he's kind of mopey and a little whiny at the beginning of the movie? But also it's understandable, given that the people who raised him just died and he does get better once everything starts happening.

Leia - Kissing Luke to make Han jealous. It's not even that she and Luke are twins, since neither of them knows at that point, but I just tend to find that kind of...playing people's emotions against each other to be kind of aggravating.

12. What’s a headcanon you have for this character?

Luke - I like to think that a few years after the Emperor kicking it Quinlan shows up to finish training Luke, and Luke ends up getting as much of the history of the Jedi Order as Quinlan has access to (a lot, given that he knows where T'ra is) shoved into his head, so he can rebuild the Order the way Obi-Wan would have wanted to see it.

Leia - I love the headcanon that she ends up becoming known pretty widely in the Outer Rim as the Huttslayer, and it ends up making people trust her far more than most politicians, especially after the fall of the Empire. Every time she gets sent on a diplomatic mission somewhere important, the fact that she killed Jabba invariably gets spread around the planet just as much as her status as a hero of the Rebellion.

18. How about a relationship they have in canon with another character that you admire?

Luke - Ngl I adore Luke and Yoda's relationship. They're both gremlins and they're both so wholesome underneath it and I just think they work perfectly as mentor and student. Yoda deserved to get to train another swamp gremlin, and Luke deserved a mentor who would unleash his gremlin tendencies.

Leia - The only nice things the ST gave us besides Finn in the first movie is the relationship between Amilyn Holdo and Leia. But if we're not counting the ST and we shouldn't, the Bail-Leia relationship is just so beautiful and makes my heart feel three sizes too big. They have so much love for each other!! So much faith in each other!!!! How can you not be touched by that??
