I really like movie Anakin because I relate to him on a personal level

1. A child who cannot be silenced and who speaks very loud

2. I cannot tell you how many times someone told me they weren’t interested in me (I wasn’t interested in them, I just zoned out and had a very intense stare okay, Padme asking him to stop looking at her like that hit me really hard, that’s just how my face is okAY-)

3. Danger instinct nonexistent

4. Is in a terrible situation and immediately decides to make fun of the person who put him in that situation

5. Does not trust anyone younger than him, only old(er) people

6. People in my life hotly debated whether I was born evil or became this way later in life

i think what is really attractive to me about astarion’s character is that he balances his feminine/masculine traits so well.

like he can be pretty feminine with how he expresses himself (flamboyant, vain, showy) but he’s intrinsically masculine in a lot of aspects (his desires to pursue, protect, provide) and that was sooo surprising to me because usually it’s very black or white with that kind of thing— you typically get characters that are wholly masculine/feminine (or very heavily leaning on one side), not a mix of both (especially not in a man).

it just makes him feel much more alive and not so one-dimensional. it’s really a disservice to try to force him into a box by depicting him as only one or the other. let him be a silly little peacock man in peace

#for me personally it makes him so much more relatable bcz i am the same way just opposite (outwardly masculine inwardly feminine)#i remember when i first saw clips of him i rolled my eyes SOOO hard bcz i was like great here we go another little bitch boy 🙄#but he really genuinely surprised me lol in the best way #he is fr the ‘masculine in a peacock type of way’ man #MY FAVORITE 🤤🍽️🍽️#bg3 #astarion
