Halloween prompts year 2 day 28

Thomas stared down at Bruce-no- Danny as he led him by the hand toward what he had dubbed as his "Secret Lair" which was just an old fall out shelter in the woods that had been well hidden and forgotten about. The door to it was old and still buried under years of dirt and plant growth, requiring Danny to phase them into it which made Thomas wonder how his grandson had found it in the first place.

Inside was surprisingly high tech. "You have a secret lair filled with all this equipment but don't have any weapons or armor?" Thomas asked, making mental preparations to fix that.

Danny sheepishly rubbed the back of his neck and explained his only allies were two other 14 year olds who were also untrained, unarmed, unarmored, and unsuper-powered which would explain why Danny was so excited to be working with an adult vigilante who at least knew what they were doing.

The kid didn't even mind when some of his more evil or harmful rogues "stopped showing up" thankfully no one would really question the reclusive Vlad Masters "going back to Wisconsin" only to never be seen again. No one saw much of him before coming to Amity Park, it made since he would become a hermit again once he had his fill of human interaction.

And if hes later found dead in his cheese castle? Well, the body had decomposed too much to really say what killed him. His will left everything to a Daniel James Fenton/Daniel James Masters which visibly infuriated Danny. Thomas mentally patted himself on the back. It was a good call to get rid of that one. The will was a surprise, though one that can only benefit Thomas in his crusade of protecting his grandson. Its not like he can return to a timeline that no longer exists anyway.

Unfortunately this doesn't stop the bats from hearing about "Batman" operating in a city in Illinois for the past few months...

this year as a lando fan while it’s had its highs (it been great to witness everything he’s achieved) it’s been an absolute struggle more so than any other year, i’ve feel myself becoming less and less attached to the sport and to do so in the year he got his maiden win and was “fighting” for wdc feels so shitty. and the fact is it’s got absolutely nothing to do with lando himself, i will continue to support him no matter what, but the discourse surrounding him, people trying to minimise every achievement he got, the bombardment of hate towards him has been nothing less than disgusting, psychotic and heartbreaking. i used to come on this site and go through landos tag to see if id missed anything he’d been up to and it was something that brought joy to my day, however now i can’t scroll through the lando tag without seeing hate directed his way by people, (who are not only losing a few braincells with their inability to correctly anti tag), who just think it’s fun to wish injury and death on people and dont seem to understand the irony in a lot of their posts. not forgetting the insane lando hate anon, while yes i enjoyed laughing at, would flood lando fans inbox’s with hate anytime he so much as breathed. anytime i go on twitter i see more hate for lando from other drivers fan accounts than i see positive things about their drivers. the anti lando hate train that some people think is cool to be on isn’t. and it just shows how rotten of a person you are if no matter what your supposed favourite driver does the first words out of your mouth are about lando norris and reason 626174 of why you hate him. it’s very telling when people who claim they aren’t fans are more obsessed with talking about him than those who are, i beg you all seek help and get a hobby because this type of behaviour isn’t healthy both for yourself and for others around you to witness.

Lujanne and Callum were too damn chummy. I cannot be convinced he didn’t spend a while bunch of time at the Moon Nexus in the two years Rayla was missing. Obviously looking for Rayla or even word on her, but also continuing to look for pointers on how he might connect to the arcanum of the Moon. Totally for himself and learning more about magic and not at all as a way of feeling closer to Rayla and maybe somehow finding out if she was at the very least alive.

And in that time, Lujanne obviously developed a soft spot for him (hence the side eye “Layla” comment). Yeah, Rayla’s a fellow Moonshadow and Lujanne understands why Rayla did what she did, but she also saw Callum after and it’s hard not to feel for him considering what she saw him go through.

RETURN OF THE MELUSINE AU!!!!!!!!

every once in a while- aka every week- you vanish for one day. always the same day, too- always on Sunday, from dawn until dusk. Foul Legacy absolutely PANICS at first, checking every nook and cranny of Merusea Village with desperate cries and chirps. a few other Melusine even join him in a tizzy, looking for their missing sibling, when suddenly you walk into the caverns as if nothing happened at all, perfectly whole and healthy. Legacy chitters, frantically fussing over you, but you merely hug his leg with a lovely smile, bloopy antennae twitching as you stare up with innocent eyes. his panic fades, replaced by exasperation, and Legacy lifts you into his arms with an admonishing trill. a couple Melusine trail behind him as he carries you to the little shell cottage you reside in, huffing and checking your skin, making sure no other shimmering markings have joined your vast collection- beautiful scars, yes, but scars mean wounds. there's nothing new, and Legacy finally relents and bumps his head protectively against yours

the same thing happens again the next week. and the next, and the next

slowly, Legacy and your siblings grow used to it. the disappearances almost become part of your schedule, like painting with Mamere every Tuesday or late afternoon tea. you never emerge worse for wear, quite the opposite, and after the first incident you leave little notes for Foul Legacy in the morning to tell him you're okay. the other Melusine shrug and keep him company those days, climbing over him like a tree and giggling in delight. none of them know you're with the Iudex himself, helping him arrange flowers in a vase in his office. Neuvillette watches you quietly, his eyes tracing over those familiar shining scars, the ones that tore you apart in the first place. there's a trace of Abyssal magic on you, but also the care and protection of every other Melusine in Fontaine, and the Hydro Sovereign smiles just a bit when you tie a bow around the vase and look up at him happily

i believe that to some extent Andre knows he's fucked up and this headcanon is one of the hills I will die on in the farewell tape, Cal says that “you can’t cure somebody who has nothing wrong with them.” 

Andre, on the other hand, admits they might be seen as hypocrites. he's not gonna back out, he still thinks it's the right thing for him to do, but he seems to acknowledge that people will not perceive it the same way. he tries to explain that no matter what it’ll look like, it’s not murder for the sake of murder - not in his eyes at least. there's a (sick and twisted) lesson hidden in this tragedy.

to some extent, Andre is aware of what’s going on with him, what exactly shaped him into who he is now. he sees the cause and effect of being bullied, of feeling rejected and alienated, and not being able to do anything about it because that's just who he is. he can kick and scream and shout but he will never change who he is at his core and this realization is crushing for a 17/18-year-old. this and all the implications of a missing sense of belonging.

he knows he’s messed up. he knows what would fix him and he’s convinced it’s out of his reach. he looks at other students and he thinks: it’ll never be me. and he's angry that they have something he will never have.

his awareness doesn't help though. if anything, it fuels his frustration. what adults know to be a temporary problem (high school) seemed like an insurmountable obstacle, the end of everything.
