Sentimaggedon!!
Sentimonster designs I came up with bc I was thinking about Argos’s debut in my AU! Bc I’m dumb and I haven’t thought too deep about him as a character to the story yet-
They were originally suppose to all be based on the seven deadly sins, especially Gasumptious (gluttony) and Elvy (envy). But I also wanted to branch into maybe Felix’s other hidden emotions, like his deep love for Kagami and his fear of being replaced by Adrien (Bride and Athazagora).
Argos becomes an official enemy when Dragonbug tells him they need to be destroyed. He defends them, saying they’re just “infants” and can learn how to behave properly with time. But a frustrated and exhausted Dragonbug she tells him they aren’t like humans and are created for one purpose: to serve and destroy. This hits home with Argos, and he develops a fear and hatred for Ladybug and swears his loyalty to Madame Morphisa afterwards in order to take her down and prove just how monstrous he can be.
I’m still kinda trying to find a way to make this concept work in my au. He promised to serve her in exchange for the peacock miraculous, and she wants him to use it to take Ladybug’s miraculous. In a novice attempt, he might have just starting creating multiple sentimonsters that he thought were harmless enough (something she did NOT expect), but they quickly spiraled out of control. It’s much easier to make sentimonsters based on others emotions, because you can predict which one you will create it off of. But instead, he chose his own, which makes it more difficult to tell how the sentimonster will act. I think it would show the aspect that these creatures do have a mind of their own, compared to previous Mayura sentimonsters who were easily controlled by their akumas!!
Red Moon
Red Moon is obviously already canon, but her power is instead hypnosis. If you get caught in her light, you stop whatever you are doing to stare at her. The streets of Paris become like a statue exhibit: countless of unlucky citizens are bathing in her glow, staring at the beauty of the red moon.
Gasumptious
As he devours, Gasumptious grows bigger and bigger. He’ll eat anything, so beware! After finishing most of the city, Gasumptious sits atop the Eiffel Tower and gnaws on its metal posts.
Elvy
Elvy lives in the sewers. She can control water and uses it to drain you of happy memories, which she keeps in floating green orbs and guards for herself.
It’s so silly to me how the manifestation of Felix’s jealousy of Adrien is fought and defeated by Chat Noir, who is Adrien ehehehheeh.
She also sounds like a Pokémon!! Probably like a Lapras, or the one that trills really pretty
Athazagora
A timid creature, Athazagora took over the catacombs, and hides in the shadows. You can hear the creaking and rattling of its wooden limbs in the dark as it stalk you. If you can’t escape, it envelops you in its cloak of darkness, never to be seen again.
Bride
The supposed advisor of Argos. She never leaves his side, and is always whispering something in his ear. To protect Argos, she showcases her ability to turn her arm into a long spear/sword, incredible strength and mobility, and that her body is made of an indestructible crystal.
Plus, he can make multiple sentimonsters bc he’s a sentihuman himself (Other people can’t. You can only make one, kind of like how the Butterfly miraculous can only Akumatize one person at a time, unless they share an object. Current excuse I’m going with that makes semi-sense HEHEHE) . So Lila totally wants to use that to her own advantage!
Ofc he fails, but she’s impressed with his resolve (and the lengths he was willing to go, albeit unintentionally), especially after sharing her goal of destroying Ladybug. Lila was feeling the effects of unification and now has a willing minion to do her bidding whenever she pleases.
If I decide to go with this plot, Lila has to end up forgetting Felix because of the curse. But she doesn’t care: all she really needs is Argos. I might need to retcon her revenge against Felix because of this but idm! It wasn’t very important to the plot anyways!
I was considering having Dragonbug in this episode, since she could use Perfection to snipe Red Moon out of the sky! The lucky charm would be like a wand that creates a sticky translucent web to keep the sentimonsters secure so they can go find their amoks.
And a sentimonster I never ended up including, Ava. I just didn’t have a reason to put her in there but I liked the yin and yang style of her design!!
#THATS A LOT OF TEXt#I tried making it pretty tho!!#hopefully this makes sense#miraculous ladybug#chocoau#chocoau lore#chocoau char#look st me making these big posts with lore and I’m just like “but I’m still not sure ab it yet!!”#LIKE WHY PUT IN THE DAYS OF EFFORT THEN CHOCO???#miraculous argos#chat noir

Tales of Bloody Bug and Chat Noir - Chapter 36 - Mayura
Beginning || Previous || Next
Alix walked to school as she listened to the radio. She flipped between radio stations that weren’t giving their morning news segment when she heard of an announcement from the mayor. She listened to it as he declared in a couple of months, Paris would be hosting a Heros’ Day in honor of the heroes that safeguard the city. She lingered a moment on the idea of it. It was generous of the mayor, and even the people, to host such a day, but it felt premature. They had no idea who Hawkmoth was or how to get to him. Maybe in that time, they could catch him and have that day truly mean something.
Alix turned off the radio and hurried to school. She walked up the steps as she tuned into the buzz of everyone around her. They gossiped about the mayor’s announcement and what they would do for Heros’ Day. She snorted and stepped through the doors when a chill passed over her. She stopped as her stomach twisted in knots that she felt like she was going to throw up. She took a sharp breath and sat on a nearby empty bench. She took deep breaths as she attempted to soothe the uneasiness, but it lingered.
“Alix? Are you ok?” Kim asked.
Alix glanced up and saw Kim with Max beside him. “The fuck do you want?”
“If you’re going to be rude about it, then forget it.”
“Good. Now fuck off.”
Kim flinched. Max nudged Kim forward.
“Actually, I wanted to apologize. For everything with Dark Cupid. I shouldn’t have come after you. I just… got really jealous that Chloe liked you more than me. You know?”
“Maybe it’s time you move on. If Chloe isn’t interested, there’s no point in pursuing someone that’ll never love you the way you want in return.”
“Precisely. I’ve told Kim this over the past couple of weeks since the incident. It has yet to fully sink in,” Max added.
Kim crossed his arms. “Yeah, well, it’s stupid. It’s me. Who better for Chloe than me?”
“Alix?” Max asked.
Kim’s shoulders drooped before he shook himself off and glared at Alix. “What is it about you that won Chloe over? What do you have that I don’t?”
“I don’t fucking know, and I don’t fucking care either. I told Chloe that there won’t be anything between us. And unlike you, she respects my boundaries. Maybe that’s something you should get in your head instead of letting it escape through that empty chasm you call a brain.”
Kim’s jaw dropped and he glowered at Alix. She stood, flipped him off, and headed up to homeroom. Her nerves fried and ate her alive the closer she got to her homeroom. She gulped and leaned against the wall before she slid to the ground.
“Alix? What’s wrong?” Rose cried.
Alix looked over at Rose, Juleka, and Luka. Rose knelt beside her while Juleka and Luka kept their distance.
“Sorry. I don’t feel well suddenly. Hit me like a damn truck,” Alix groaned.
“That explains your music. It’s jarring, unsettled, like it’s scared. No, not scared. A warning,” Luka whispered.
Juleka nodded. “You’re not alone, Alix. I feel it too.”
“Shit. I thought it was just… it doesn’t matter. What’s your sixth sense tell you, Juleka?” Alix asked.
“Danger. Real danger. Not like Hawkmoth. Hawkmoth there is unease, but it soothes over before long. This? This is all consuming.”
Alix stumbled to her feet. “Fuck this. I’m not waiting for it to show up.”
“But, school! You can’t just leave,” Rose whispered.
“I know, but I can’t just sit back and let whatever is going to happen, happen. Juleka, Luka, thank you. Have any of you seen Adrien?”
Juleka turned and pointed down in the courtyard. Alix peered over the railing at Adrien with Chloe, Nino, and Sabrina. Alix nodded to Juleka and Luka, pecked Rose on the cheek, then headed down to the others.
“Woah! Look who’s come to join us, dudes. How’s it hanging, Alix?” Nino asked.
“We’ve got trouble brewing. Something bad is on the horizon,” Alix whispered.
“What? How do you know?” Adrien asked.
“A sickening feeling and a pair of psychics. Say what you will, but I’m not about to doubt my own gut on this.”
“Well, do we have anything more to go off of than a gut feeling? I mean, what are we supposed to do anyway?” Chloe demanded.
“C’mon, dude, we’ll think of something. We just need to think,” Nino commented.
Alix drowned out Nino and Chloe’s arguing when she heard Rose and Luka yell out. She turned to see Juleka leaned against the railing for support. They fussed over Juleka, but Juleka’s eyes were glued to the front. She gulped as the hairs on the back of her neck stood on end. She looked at the front and gasped. A woman in a dark blue dress with blue skin, short blue hair, and fuchsia eyes strolled in.
Alix reached for Adrien’s wrist and held him tight. He raised a brow when he looked in her direction. He gasped when he saw the woman. Cold dread consumed him when the woman looked at him and smiled. The woman closed the gap between them before Alix and Sabrina could react. He gulped as he stared up into her eyes before his gaze dropped to the peacock brooch at her chest.
Adrien gasped and stumbled back, but the woman caught him by his jaw. She pulled him closer to her and turned his head as she inspected him.
“Marvelous. Such a specimen you are. Born of love, unlike so many others. Well, there was one other, but it is such a poisonous love. Not like yours. So pure. So innocent. So… misguided and foolish.”
“I don’t understand,” Adrien whined.
“You don’t need to, but further analysis is needed. It’ll give us something to do while we wait.”
“Wait? Wait for what? The heroes.”
The woman laughed. “Heavens, no. For Hawkmoth.”
Adrien opened his mouth when the woman grabbed him. She held him under her arm as she leapt out of the school’s courtyard. He gasped as she ran through Paris to the Eiffel Tower. She perched up on it before she let him down.
“What’s going on? Why did you take me?” Adrien demanded.
“I already told you. Now, for the attention.”
Adrien scrambled away, but the woman held up her hand that had a pair of twin silver rings on the middle finger.
“Stop,” the woman commanded.
Compulsion fell over Adrien as he obeyed. His breath caught, his heart pounded, and fear consumed him. He glanced back at the rings as terror tore him apart.
The woman chuckled. “Oh, I just love the smell of fear.”
Adrien whimpered as the woman advanced. He recoiled from her outstretched hand when he spotted Bloody Bug and Porcelet. Excitement mingled with the fear as they attacked the woman. She sidestepped their attack and laughed.
“Almost, but the magic child gave you both away,” the woman said.
“Let him go!” Bloody Bug roared.
“I don’t think I will. Not until I get what I want.”
“Then I’ll just-!”
Porcelet stepped between Bloody Bug and the woman. “What is your name?”
“Mayura.”
“Mayura, a pleasure. What is it you seek?”
“My, how civilized. Unlike other company. Very well, Porcelet. I seek a prize you cannot give me: Hawkmoth.”
“But why kidnap Adrien Agreste if you seek Hawkmoth?”
Mayura chuckled. “Why indeed?”
“Enough of this! If you won’t give him back willingly, we’ll take him by force!” Bloody Bug yelled.
Mayura smiled. She plucked a feather out from her fan and let it go. It flew around Porcelet and changed from white to blue before it returned to Mayura’s fan. She grinned and created a slim creature that was skin clinging to bone. Slime and sludge oozed from the creature that emitted a horrendous odor that could turn any stomach. Its mouth hung agape in a permanent scream with empty, black eyes. Porcelet screamed while Bloody Bug jumped between Porcelet and the monster. She pointed her fan at the heroes as the creature howled and lunged. The heroes jumped off the tower as the creature pursued them.
“W-what was that?” Adrien whispered.
“A magnificent specimen. One should be enough, but just to make sure.”
Mayura plucked another feather and pressed it against Adrien’s cheek. He flinched as the white feather turned blue and she returned it to her fan. She gave rise to a ghastly wolf creature that was as tall as a building. Its legs were thin and elongated while its torso bloated. Horns jutted out from the top of the creature’s head along its back into a long, spiked tail. Its mouth twisted into a sharp-toothed grin as its black, empty eyes shone with malicious intent.
Mayura pointed her fan towards the heroes, now joined by Gallic Chick and Carapace. The creature gave a deep, low laugh before it slithered down the tower. A choir of screams ripped through the air. Mayura grinned as she basked in the fear.
“W-why are you doing this? You say you want Hawkmoth, but instead you terrorize the city and fight the heroes. If what you say is true, why oppose the city and the heroes?” Adrien demanded.
“Please. A creature like you would never understand, even if I did explain it. You’re just incapable to understanding.”
“And why’s that? Because I’m a child in your eyes?”
“Heavens, no. Because you are made of love, so love is all you can truly know. Anything born out of malice, hatred, rage, and all that fun stuff, you cannot fathom. Unlike that cousin of yours. Or would he be your brother? You had different mothers, but you are one and the same, right? Hmm, this may require further testing.”
“I don’t understand.”
Mayura growled. “Silence.”
Compulsion fell over Adrien as he obeyed. He watched as the Bloody Bug unified with Ziggy into a black and white raven and fought the monsters with Gallic Chick. His heart ached seeing Porcelet and Carapace struggle to battle the nightmare creatures. He whined when Mayura grabbed his face and forced him to look up. His eyes widened seeing a news helicopter.
“Let the show begin,” Mayura hissed.
Mayura pressed her fan against herself, turning a feather blue. She created a massive bird the size of a plane with majestic dark blue and fuchsia feathers. She pointed her fan at the helicopter, and it retrieved the vehicle. The news crew inside cowered as she approached them.
“Please, don’t hurt us. We’re just-!” Nadja yelled.
“Cameras on me and you won’t be hurt.”
The cameraman nodded and pointed a camera at Mayura. She smirked and pulled Adrien closer by his jaw.
“Oh, Hawkmoth, look what I have. You want your investment to stay safe, you’ll come to the Eiffel Tower to reclaim him. And in case you get cold feet.”
Mayura flipped off the camera with the hand with the twin rings. She snapped her fingers and the giant bird released the helicopter. She looked down at the fight to see her creatures were ensnared and tied up. She scoffed and turned as Bloody Bug and the team cornered her.
“We’re done with this. You’ve lost. Give us Adrien.”
Mayura tapped her folded fan against her chin. She smirked as she tapped it once against the railing, dismissing her monsters. She grabbed Adrien and leapt over the edge.
“Duusu! Unify!”
Adrien watched as light erupted from the brooch that enveloped Mayura. The light grew until it overshadowed the Eiffel Tower. It expanded and reshaped to the vague outline of a bird/human hybrid. He gulped as the light faded to reveal a massive anthropomorphic bird with six small wings, a plume of feathers styled like a fancy collar, and a long feather tail cape. Fuchsia eyes floated above her feather collar and tail that glared at them. The bird’s hand closed around him as it opened all of the eyes across its body.
Blood Raven gawked at the eldritch peacock monster before them. Her nerves ate away at her under its plethora of eyes. She sucked in a breath, jumped onto the railing, and glared at the monster.
“Bug, bird, whatever, I don’t think this is a good idea,” Carapace remarked.
“Are you insane? That thing still has Adrien. We have to fight it!” Gallic Chick snapped.
“Maybe we don’t have to. What if we found Hawkmoth? We don’t have to fight and risk Adrien,” Porcelet proposed.
“There’s no way I’m-!” Blood Raven started.
“Peacock!” a man yelled.
Everyone turned to see a man in an outlandish butterfly super suit and mask. The heroes’ faces twisted in confusion while the peacock laughed.
“My, doesn’t this explain your horrible designs. Such a shame. I was expecting something more intimidating.”
“Release the boy!”
The peacock shrugged and threw Adrien behind her. The heroes dove with Blood Raven being the one to catch Adrien. They ran to a nearby alleyway as a giant fox eldritch creature materialized.
Blood Raven gasped. “The old man!”
“Old man?” Carapace asked.
“We’ll explain soon. We need a way to get rid of Mayura. Even if it is temporary.”
“Why? Let’s just go. We got Adrien. There’s no need to stay here and fight demons,” Carapace argued.
“Excuse me, but there’s a-!”
“Please. We have Adrien. We could reengage, but there’s a good chance that we’ll get in the way of that fox. We should retreat while we have the chance,” Porcelet explained.
Blood Raven snarled. “Fine! Adrien, transform. We’re taking them to the old man’s place.”
Adrien nodded and transformed into Chat Noir. They headed through the city to Wang Fu’s massage shop. They entered his room, but it was empty. Chat Noir and Blood Raven shrugged as they sat at the table. The others exchanged glances before they took a seat. They waited there until Wang Fu returned.
“Good. You’re all here. We have business to discuss,” Wang Fu said.
“I’ll say. What was that thing?” Blood Raven demanded.
“That is a holder that reached the apex level and is fully attuned to their kwami. Something that is only for the Guardians.”
“What? What do you mean?” Chat Noir asked.
Wang Fu sighed. “See, usually with holders such as yourselves, we don’t allow you past the third tier. As it stands, Bloody Bug and Chat Noir are one step away from that while the rest of you are two steps. However, with that peacock holder, she’s one above that, making her on par with a Guardian like me.”
“Then what do we do? Can we even fight her?” Gallic Chick asked.
“Yes. But before that, Chat Noir, why was she after you?” Wang Fu asked.
“She didn’t explain well, but she wanted to use Adrien to get to Hawkmoth. I tried to get an explanation, but she never gave me one. And, on top of all that, she was able to control me.”
“Hold up. Control you? How?”
“Well, she held up these silver wedding bands that looked like my mother and father’s wedding bands. She’d speak a command and I had to obey. There was no chance to refuse. I had to listen.”
Wang Fu’s eyes widened as they darkened with fear. “Oh no.”
“Oh no?” Porcelet asked.
“This is grave. This is grave indeed. Chat Noir, I’m afraid that until Mayura is dealt with, you will need to be benched. For your and Plagg’s safety.”
“What? Why?” Chat Noir cried.
“Chat Noir, I believe you are a sentimonster, a type of creature created by the peacock miraculous. With the power of emotions, the peacock can ‘give birth’ to constructs made of any emotion they desire. Typically, the holder would need consent, but at her level, she can take what she wants.”
“What? But how? I mean, I remember growing up. I remember birthdays, and Chloe, we grew up together. I’ve seen my own birth certificate! How am I one of those things?” Chat Noir demanded.
“Yeah, how?” Gallic Chick added.
Wang Fu hummed. “I’m not sure. Most sentimonsters are made for a purpose, fulfill it, then are dismissed. It makes me wonder what purpose you were made for and what your function is. Regardless what the reason is, you are in danger, but as is Plagg. For both your safety, I ask you give Plagg back so we can find him a temporary holder.”
“Just temporary? You promise?”
“I promise.”
“What about Stompp?”
Wang Fu hummed. “Keep Stompp. I want to see if his power could safeguard you from Mayura.”
“What’s his power on his own?”
“His power can safeguard you from other holders’ powers. With luck, that means the peacock shouldn’t be able to control you.”
Chat Noir sighed and nodded. He took off his ring and handed it to Wang Fu, who handed it to Blood Raven.
“Pick a holder you can trust as much as Adrien but can also be an asset to you against Mayura.”
“I will. I promise.”
Wang Fu nodded and moved to his cabinets. He pulled out five elixirs and placed one in front of Gallic Chick, Porcelet, Carapace, Adrien, and Bloody Bug, then took a seat.
“Alright, now if you are to face this Mayura, you’ll need to be stronger. Gallic Chick, Carapace, and Porcelet, should you choose to stay and drink these potions, you’ll become more attuned to your kwamis. This will make you stronger and give you access to unification and passive powers based on the animal of the kwami.”
Gallic Chick and Porcelet’s eyes widened as they downed the elixirs. Carapace stared at it then shook his head. He pushed the elixir away, took off the turtle bracelet, and stood.
“Young man?” Wang Fu asked Nino.
“I’m sorry, but I don’t think I can continue this. Not against Mayura. Hawkmoth was one thing with all his silly villains. But those monsters that Mayura made were horrifying. I just… I don’t think I can do this,” Nino explained.
Adrien stood and hugged Nino. “It’s ok, dude. We don’t think any less of you. We understand. Right?”
Gallic Chick shrugged.
“Of course. I was terrified. She made one of those monsters from my own fear. Seeing it was horrifying. I’ll likely have nightmares, but I also can’t run and hide. There are people in danger just as much as me. I just would prefer I stand against the evil to defend those that can only stand behind me.”
“I don’t fucking care about demons or anything. She can throw all of hell at me so long as I get the chance to rip her smug as smirk off her face and out her fucking ass,” Blood Raven hissed.
Everyone pursed their lips as they stared at Blood Raven. Adrien shook his head and turned to Nino.
“See, it’s all good. Do what is best for you, bro.”
“You sure, dude?”
“Always.”
Nino smiled and hugged Adrien. “Thanks, bro.”
“Be safe, bro.”
“You too.”
Nino gave a final smile and wave before he left the room. Adrien sighed and took a seat next to Blood Raven.
“Very well. We’ll see about getting you both another team mate. Now, for your elixirs, they will make you stronger, further attune you to your kwamis, but also give you access to amalgamation fusions,” Wang Fu explained.
“Amalgamation fusions?” Blood Raven asked.
“Yes. These fusions are quite… unique. Whereas most fusions will resemble a clear animal or creature, the amalgamations don’t. They will always appear as a mix of the animals with white skin, platinum appendages, and prismatic highlights. We have never figured out why all amalgamation fusions look like this. We just know that this is the result. And while Mayura is around, Bloody Bug, I want you to have this tool at your disposal. Especially if Mayura goes primal again.”
“So, that’s what that was? Some sort of primal form?” Porcelet asked.
“Yes. A form exclusive to those that are fully attuned, which is reserved only for Guardians. How Mayura came upon this knowledge, I know not.”
“And these amalgamations are enough to deal with the primal forms?” Gallic Chick asked.
“Close. They can match them in terms of power and strength. Another thing we’ve not been able to fully understand.”
“Why’s that?” Adrien asked.
“Because all that knowledge was lost to us. See, kwamis’ jewels were made by a human known simply as the Mage. Any account of their work has been lost. All we know is what was recorded by later humans.”
“You don’t think Mayura might have found it, do you? The Mage’s lost records?” Porcelet asked.
“Highly unlikely, but I wouldn’t dismiss anything at this point. Now, Adrien and Bloody Bug, drink the elixir.”
Adrien listened and drank his. Blood Raven de-unified and drank hers. Wang Fu nodded and pulled out the miracle box.
“Pick a new teammate, as a team,” Wang Fu added.
“Well, there’s only been two others, right? Bomb Bee and Lady-,” Porcelet started.
“Bomb Bee,” Bloody Bug cut in.
“I would prefer Bomb Bee, please,” Adrien added.
Porcelet tilted her head. “Oh? Is something wrong with Lady Tigress?”
“Lady Tigress is Marinette,” Blood Raven said.
“Oh, hell no. We aren’t letting that bitch anywhere near Adrikins,” Gallic Chick said.
“Yeah, I have to agree. I’d prefer her not be near him… or me,” Porcelet said.
“Has she been bothering you?” Bloody Bug asked.
“Not exactly. Because of Chloe, she won’t get near me, but it doesn’t help that I can almost always feel her eyes burning a hole into me.”
“Maybe she should shift some of that focus on her own boyfriend,” Gallic Chick muttered.
Bloody Bug snorted and took the bee comb.
“Very good. Now, Bloody Bug, return the goat to me.”
“What? Why?”
“I will be giving you kwamis suited for handling Mayura if she goes primal for your amalgamation fusion.”
Bloody Bug sighed and returned the hair clips to Wang Fu. He bowed his head and took out the tiger, fox, snake, and mouse miraculous.
“You are to keep these with you until Mayura is defeated. You may unify with them, but never all together unless necessary. Understood?”
“Yes. Alright, team, let’s head out. Porcelet, Gallic Chick, take Adrien home. I have some errands to run.”
Gallic Chick and Porcelet nodded as they escorted Adrien out. Bloody Bug put on the new miraculous and turned to leave when Wang Fu held up a hand. She stopped as he pulled out a pair of elixirs.
“Give these two to the new members. We’ll need them strong to face Mayura.”
“Aren’t you worried about using them all up?”
“Oh, no. These are the easiest to make. It’s the other two that you won’t see me just passing out. Especially the final one, but let’s hope that it doesn’t come to that.”
Bloody Bug nodded and took the elixirs. She placed them in her yo-yo and headed off. She swung by Alya’s apartment and tapped on the balcony doors. A pair of young girls gawked at her when Alya ran out of her room. Alya hurried onto the balcony before the girls could join them.
“Bloody Bug! How can I help you?”
Bloody Bug held up the bee comb.
Alya gasped. “For real? You’re giving me another chance?”
“More than that. Carapace left the team. We need someone else to take his place. I need someone fearless that can stare down a monster before they toss it back to hell. Who better than you?”
Alya grinned and put the comb in her hair. “Thank you. Thank you so much.”
“That’s not all.”
Bloody Bug took out an elixir from her yo-yo and handed it to Alya.
“What’s that?” Alya asked.
“An elixir that will attune you to your kwami, making you stronger.”
“Oh, say no more.”
Alya took the elixir and downed it.
“Alright, be ready for whenever danger rises.”
“Wait, I have a question.”
“Yes?”
“Could I maybe post some of my escapades on my blog?”
Bloody Bug sighed. “Fine. But if you out yourself, that’s on you.”
“Heard.”
“Good. I’ll see you later, Bee.”
Bloody Bug headed off to Liberty. She took a deep breath as she snuck into the ship’s hold. She glanced around until she saw Juleka sitting on her bed far across from her. They stared at each other until Juleka put her guitar down and hurried over. Rose and Luka poked their heads out before they joined her.
“What are you doing here like this?” Juleka asked.
Bloody Bug inhaled, then sighed. She pulled out the black cat ring and the elixir and held it out for Juleka.
“What… what is this?” Juleka asked.
“Juleka Couffaine, I’m entrusting you with the black cat ring as its temporary holder. Should you accept, this elixir will make you stronger like the rest of us.”
“Me? Are you sure? Surely you can’t be. This is just-!”
“Juleka, I’m serious. Chat Noir cannot be the black cat. It would be a terrible liability. With Carapace leaving the team and Porcelet admitting to being afraid, I need people unafraid of the terrors in the dark. Aside from Bomb Bee, you’re the only person I can count on to not shy away from the unknown and terrifying. It’s someone like you I need at my side until Chat Noir can return to being himself.”
“So, it’s just a temporary arrangement, yes?”
“Yes.”
“Do it, Jewel! You’d be an amazing black cat. In more ways than one,” Rose said dreamily.
Juleka and Bloody Bug exchanged glances before Juleka sighed.
“Ok, I’ll be your second, just don’t expect me to be a leader or whatever. I’m not exactly the leader type.”
“That’s ok. I don’t expect you to. And hopefully you won’t need to so long as I’m here.”
Juleka put the ring on and drank the elixir.
“So, when am I getting a miraculous?” Rose asked.
“Hopefully in time. Right now, I can’t say. Not with everything that happened.”
“I hope soon. Luka has one, now Jewel. I’m feeling a little left out. I can fight,” Rose pouted.
“More Juleka has one. Luka may have one in his possession, but he shouldn’t be using it.”
Luka pursed his lips.
“What have you done?” Juleka and Bloody Bug asked.
“Oh, uh, nothing big. Just, uh, used the power to enter the Burrow and, uh, talk to someone.”
“Dammit! Fluff!” Bloody Bug yelled.
“You called?” Fluff asked.
“Stop making paradoxes!”
“Rude! I haven’t made any recently.”
“So, you haven’t told Luka to go into the Burrow to speak with the other Harlequin?”
“Oh! No, yeah, I did do that.”
“Dammit, Fluff. Why?”
“I mean, who better to speak with Luka than that Harlequin? Besides, you making your own paradox helped you out, right?”
Bloody Bug pinched the bridge of her nose. “I’ve had enough here. I’m heading home. Look, I’ll be in touch if something comes up, ok?”
Juleka gave a thumbs up.
“And, Fluff? You give me a headache.”
Fluff giggled. “Welcome to my world. My head is a never-ending ache.”
Bloody Bug shook her head. “Whatever. I’ll see you all later.”

Summer Green (lovesquare oneshot)
So it's been so long probably no one remembers that before I moved cities I promised to write two oneshots as a thank you. Anyway, I got given the prompt "cake" for one of them and this is the result. It was meant to be much more comedic and fluffy, but well ... this happened instead.
i have no idea when the next one will get written, because my job is busy and I'm still recovering from a broken ankle, but hey. I finished one lol
Summary: Twelve years ago, Marinette had found out that Chat Noir and Adrien Agreste were the same person. Twelve years ago, she’d seen him sob like a shattered wreck as he’d knelt in front of his mother’s glass coffin and his father, Hawkmoth, was arrested. Then he'd vanished. Just gone without a word.
After twelve years, on the day of her wedding, they finally meet again.
AO3
Marinette sits on the floor in her kitchen, knees pressed to her chest. Her feet are bare. She’s still wearing the veil, still dressed in white silk and embroidered lace. A wedding rose clipped before full bloom. A wedding rose stained with mascara trails and stupid, stupid regret.
There’s a knock at the door. She ignores it, just like she’s ignored all the calls and texts. She wouldn’t know what to say to anyone anyway. All she knows is that her wedding day had come—the day she’d fantasised about since she was a little girl—and all she’d felt was her heart sinking down, down, down into the arms of suffocation. It had only got worse as she’d walked up the aisle. As she’d looked into coffee-brown eyes and realised she couldn’t say I do.
“Idiot,” she mutters, thunking her head against the cupboard door over and over. “You stupid, crazy idiot.”
The knocking gets louder.
“Marinette?”
Her entire body stills. That voice.
“Marinette, please open the door.”
It’s something achingly deep that drags her to her feet. Something that reaches deep into her bones like the inescapable force of gravity. She moves as if in a trance and wrenches the door open, her heart stuttering into a pounding drum. Adrien blinks. His hand is still poised to knock.
All of her breath escapes her in a shaky rush. “You jerk!” she says, but then she’s throwing herself against his chest and clutching him tight.
He’s taller. Broader in the shoulders, too. His scent is different—light musk and woodsy tones instead of the citrus notes of his youth—but his arms wrap around her just as warmly as they’ve always done. She closes her eyes and lets their heartbeats blend.
“Why did you never contact me?” she says. Her voice is practically a whisper. “Twelve years. Twelve years, Adrien.”
“I’m sorry.”
The words don’t appease her. Not at all. She wants to hit him, wants to curse him, but the fact he’s here—solid and real—is too precious.
Twelve years ago, she’d found out that Chat Noir and Adrien Agreste were the same person. Twelve years ago, she’d seen him sob like a shattered wreck as he’d knelt in front of his mother’s glass coffin and his father, Hawkmoth, was arrested. A twisted fairy tale with no happy ending. A twisted fairy tale that had left Adrien with nothing but grief, bitterness, and ugly court trials.
Then one day she’d woken to find the cat miraculous ring on her bedside table and a note that only had one word printed on it in neat handwriting:
Sorry.
She’d never seen him again. No one had. It was like he’d vanished. Sometimes, she’d found herself wondering if he was even still alive.
A lump forms in her throat. Hot tears sting her eyes and she buries her face into his coat, fingers curling into the soft fabric.
“I waited for you,” she says softly. “I waited for you every day like a total idiot. I waited for years.”
“I’m sorry.”
Her fingers dig in tighter. “Why couldn’t you have just called?” Her voice cracks. “Even a text just to say you’re okay would have been better than nothing.”
“I’m sorry, Marinette. I really am.”
The lump in her throat chokes any response. All she can do is hold him, tears spilling down her cheeks.
He pulls back to meet her gaze, his own cheeks damp with tears. “I wanted to come back. Believe me, I wanted to come back so many times.”
“Then why—”
He lets her go completely, shoulders hunching. “I don’t know. I guess I thought … I thought maybe it would be better if I stayed away.”
“Why?”
“Because maybe then it would hurt less. If I could forget about everything, if I could start fresh, maybe … maybe it would be better. Maybe I could be happy.”
She wordlessly tugs him back into her arms. Her heart aches and aches and aches.
“I’m sorry,” he mumbles into her hair. “I’m so sorry. I was selfish and stupid. I should have never left. I should have come back sooner.”
She clutches him tighter. “Forget it. I’m just glad you’re here now.”
They stay like that for a long time. She’s afraid if she lets him go that he might slip away again. But eventually they part and look at each other. Really look at each other. His expression is soft yet sad.
“Can I ask you something personal?” he says. “You don’t have to answer if you don’t want to.”
“What is it?”
“Why did you run from your wedding?”
She stiffens in surprise. “You know about that?”
“Uh, yeah. I stopped at your home first. I mean your old home. Your parents told me. Plus, the whole—” He gestures at her dress.
She looks the other way, biting her lip.
“I heard he’s a nice guy. Your parents seemed to like him.”
“He is nice.”
The weight of Adrien’s gaze is a silent question. Why? Why break up with him then at the altar? Why run?
Her fingers curl into her palms. She refuses to look at Adrien, though she can’t stop the tickle of heat that blooms on her cheeks. The answer is simple: it’s because her ex-fiance’s eyes are coffee brown instead of summer green. It’s because Adrien—her partner and first love—had wedged himself so far into her heart that he became part of the beat. Twelve years had not changed that. Nothing could change that. Adrien is a song she can’t forget: a song of yearning glances, almost kisses, and words never uttered.
“I think you know the answer to that,” she says softly.
He takes a step closer, then another step. His hand brushes her. She inhales shakily and their eyes meet, aching with heart-thudding longing all over again.
“I didn’t think I had a chance,” he whispers. “A part of me hoped, but—”
She leans up on her tiptoes and presses her lips to his. Impulsive. Inevitable. He surrenders to the kiss like waves embracing the shore, his arms enfolding her. Fresh tears sting her eyes. Kissing him hurts just as much as it soothes, like honey sweetening bitter medicine.
She weaves her fingers into his hair and kisses him again and again.
I’ve missed you. I love you.
Silent words are exchanged through every shared breath. The years of loneliness, the years of fruitlessly trying to move on. None of that matters now. All that matters—all that she wants to matter—is being with him in this moment. So she pushes aside the guilt. She pushes aside the thoughts of the other man whose heart she’d broken, of a wedding cake left untouched, and the money wasted on a pretty dress and diamond ring. Instead, she focuses on the warmth of Adrien’s touch, on the way he makes her heart pound faster and faster, and the yielding softness of his lips.
She won’t regret this moment. She won’t regret choosing him.

The Power of Love (Always so Strong) - A Miraculous Ladybug Fanfic
Summary: I always envisioned the final (or penultimate) battle coming down to an identity reveal and the power of love winning out. So I wrote (and drew) it!
Note: canon compliant until late season 5 (then divergent) so contains season 5 spoilers
Ladybug and Chat Noir’s day had started out like many before it: with the defeat of Mr. Pigeon.
“Pound it,” they smiled at each other, watching the de-evilized akuma fly away. That’s when their day took a turn for the unfamiliar.
Argos and Kagami appeared on the roof beside them, bringing with them information: that Monarch was none other than Gabriel Agreste.
Chat Noir looked like he was either going to break down or break the world. He paced the Parisian skyline while Argos and Kagami told their story with the aid of a senti-projector Argos called Once upon a time.
When they finished Ladybug had about a thousand thoughts flying through her head but the only one that seemed to solidify was, “What about Adrien?”
Chat Noir stopped his pacing to stare wide-eyed at her. Then his shoulders slumped. “What? You think he’s working with his father?”
“What! No!” Ladybug almost yelled, “Adrien’s a good person. He would never. I just mean- will he be OK?” Chat perked up then and tentatively approached Ladybug.
“He never deserved how Gabriel treated him,” she continued, “But know this. I- I just don’t want to see him dragged into it. He’s already going to be so hurt when he finds out. And if he really is a- a-“
“Senti-being,” Argos offered.
“-then can Monarch- Gabriel- force him to take his side?”
“Gabriel can’t control him anymore,” Kagami assured her, “we got his amok from Gabriel and gave it to Adrien for safe keeping this morning. As far as if he will be OK- I’m not sure,” she trailed off.
Chat Noir had been looking down at his hands, wringing them as if fiddling with a ring that wasn’t there but when Kagami stopped talking he looked up with an expression of pure resolve, “he will be.”
Ladybug had little time to contemplate why Chat sounded so confident about another persons emotions because just then the Parisian sky filled with portals and through them sparkling dust began to fall, covering the city.
She had even less time to wonder what was happening before she was hit by paralyzing fear as her worst nightmares played like a montage in her mind.
She was broken out of the trace by Chat Noir’s voice, “What’s happening M’Lady?” He asked, his face contorted with pain, and Ladybug got a sense he was also experiencing his worst fears, “what did I do to you? I’m sorry.”
“You have nothing to apologize for,” she offered, temporarily distracted from her own distress, “I’m right here. I’m fine,” she finished placing her hand on Chat’s chin and lifting it so he could see her.
She watched him blink and shake his head, seeming emerging from his nightmares.
“What’s going on?” He asked, his voice now laced with confusion, rather than pain.
“I don’t know?” Ladybug offered as she fought off another wave of terror threatening to overtake her, “nothing good.”
“Everybody looks miserable,” Chat said staring off the rooftop to the streets below.
Ladybug joined him at the edge and took it all in. All the Parisian’s below them were clearly struggling with invisible threats. They were either weeping, hiding, shaking, rocking, yelling or doing a combination of the above.
No matter which direction they looked citizens were suffering. Even once upon a time was effected, projecting a montage of the saddest movie scenes ever written.
“Let’s see how far the threat extends,”Ladybug said as she threw her yoyo and took off over the rooftops with Chat Noir in pursuit. As they made their way through the city things got worse and worse. Not a single corner of their beloved Paris seemed to be spared the effects of the nightmare dust. They saw a few people escape their nightmares briefly, but they were quickly pulled back in. Just when Ladybug thought things couldn’t get worse her and Chat’s miraculouses started beeping.
“We’re going to transform back soon,” Ladybug said having forgotten that they had used their powers while de-akumatizing Mr. Ramier, earlier.
“Well there doesn’t seem to be any immediate threat,” Chat pointed out, “we can just retransform, feed the kwamis then transform again.”
No sooner had those words left his mouth then portals once again opened in the sky all across Paris, but this time instead of dust, out of them came akumas, hundreds of thousands of them, sparking with dark energy.
“You were saying,” Ladybug offered as the akumas began to descend.
“Come on,” Chat said pulling her into the nearby subway entrance, “we need to detransform and retransform so your magic ladybugs can fix this when it’s all over.”
“I don’t know if this can be fixed,” Ladybug whimpered as the crushing walls of defeat closed in.
“It can be,” Chat said defiantly, “there is no way I’m letting my fa- Monarch win.”
His confidence gave ladybug the strength she needed to follow him down the subway tunnel. When the tunnel split they went on either side of the wall and detransformed, filling the tunnel with red and green light.
“What do you think we’ll be up against when we get back up there.” Adrien asked while Plagg gulped down his Camambert.
“I don’t know,” Marinette admitted, “all those negative emotions from that nightmare dust is probably like a buffet for akumas, people won’t be able to fight them.”
“Then we’ll just have to defeat the akumatimed villains one by one,” Adrien smiled, “Plagg, claws out,” he finished as he once again became the leather clad hero.
“Tikki, spots on,” Marinette followed suit, transforming back into ladybug.
When they left the subway tunnel they were met with absolute mayhem. Akumatized villains of every shape and size were running around Paris, causing mass destruction.
“Ladybug, Chat Noir, come out come out wherever you are,” one called.
“Just hand over your miraculousness and the terror will end,” shouted another.
“Sounds like they’re looking for us,” Chat offered, “we should keep a low profile until we get a better look at the entire situation.”
“Agreed,” Ladybug nodded as she followed him through the hidden routes around the city.
Everywhere they went akumatized villains, some familiar and others new were wreaking havoc and still more akumas filled the sky, waiting for their chance.
Just when Ladybug was starting to think they were the only two people in Paris not akumatized a light caught her eye. They made their way towards it, curious of its source. When they got near it they hopped up on a low roof to get a better view. That’s when she saw Alya, she was talking to Nino. They were both still themselves and they both held the charms ladybug had given them, which glowed in their hands emitting the light they had followed.
“You are the bravest person I know,” Alya said to Nino. “You defeated Anansi and saved my life and helped defeat a bunch of other villains, saving Paris numerous times. You’re also a rocking’ DJ and king of pop-culture trivia and most importantly the best boyfriend ever. I love you and I know you’re strong enough to resist the akumas.”
“I love you too. You're the coolest, toughest and smartest person I know and it’s an honour to call you my girlfriend,” Nino returned as he took Alya’s hand and the charms in them produced a blinding light that wrapped them in a kind of light force field, pushing all the akumas that were fluttering around them away.
“Wow that was awesome,” Ladybug said without thinking.
“Mar-Ladybug,” Alya smiled turning towards her, “the charms are working.”
“Only for you two it seems,” Ladybug responded jumping down from the roof top when she’s sure the coast is clear.
“You just got to power them with positive emotions, dude” Nino offered.
“Those aren’t so easy to come by these days, it seems,” Chat offered joining the group.
“People just need to be reminded of the good,” Alya said, “leave it to us. You guys do your thing.”
“Viva la resistance,” Nino yelled as they ran off down the alley.
So Ladybug and Chat Noir tried to do their thing. They defeated akumatized villain after akumatized villain. Broke the item with the akuma in it. De-evilized the akuma. Sent out the magic ladybugs. Gave the victim a lucky charm. Then detransformed and retransformed to do it all over again, but each time, despite the charm, a new akuma came and re-akumatized the victim. So after nearly 5 hours and over 20 villains de- and re- akumatized Ladybug was starting to lose hope.
They were on the rooftop of their usual meeting spot trying to re-group.
They’d thought of trying to face Monarch directly but the akumatized villains got more and more numerous the closer to the Agreste Manor they got. They were protecting him, and if Ladybug and Chat Noir hoped to get anywhere near him they’d have to deconstruct, meaning de-akumatize, his army first. The only problem was, that was proving far more difficult than they imagined. In fact, at this moment it seemed impossible.
As Ladybug’s hope faded she could feel the nightmares closing in and see the akumas start to flutter closer to her.
“We can’t give up M’lady,” Chat said from beside her, but it lacked his usual confidence. He too looked discouraged and the akumas were starting to approach him.
“I just don’t know what else to do,” she admitted, “nothing’s working.”
“Except that,” Chat smiled as he pointed to Alya and Nino’s glowing force field. It’d grown exponentially in size and now housed not only Alya and Nino but nearly 20 other familiar faces. Adrien recognized most of his classmates, as well as some of their siblings and parents. He also saw Felix, Kagami and Once upon a time in the force field. As they watched, the group approached Guitar Villain, with the Couffaine twins in the lead. Guitar Villain tried to penetrate the force field but nothing happened. Those in it did nothing to fight back but Ladybug could see their mouths moving. She couldn’t hear what was being said but before long Guitar Villain was no longer attacking them. Then he’d seemingly renounced the akuma as he once again became Jagged Stone, and his damaged lucky charm glowed with light as he joined the group in the force field.
“Maybe so,” Ladybug sighed, “but they’ll never be able to get to every citizen in the city,” she sighed again, “and even if they do we can’t live in a force field forever, and there is no way I can de-evilize every akuma” she finished, looking up at the portals through which more akumas continued to come. The akumas inched towards her as she said it, feeling her negative emotions grow.
“There has to be a way,” Chat pleaded.
“Maybe not this time, Kitty, we had a good run,” she smiled sadly as the akumas closed in.
“No!” he shouted, “Cataclysm!” he lashed out at the akumas closest to her vaporizing them just before they were able to make contact.
That caring act was just enough to make Ladybug remember that not everything was wrong with the world, she still had an awesome partner, the best there was. And he believed in her, even if she didn’t believe in herself. That was enough to force the akumas back a couple feet.
“Please M’lady, don’t give up,” he begged, “Paris needs you. I need you. And I know that you- we, can do this.”
Ladybug may not have believed in herself, at that moment, but she believed in Chat, so she nodded.
“Ok, what do you suggest?”
He shrugged, “I don’t know, maybe try your lucky charm, it usually helps.”
As if sensing that Ladybug and Chat Noir were no longer being dealt with by akumas directly, akumatized villains started to make their way towards them from all directions.
“Alright Kitty, here goes nothing,” Ladybug smiled at him.
“No matter what we finish this together,” Chat smiled in return.
“Like Always,” she confirmed, “Lucky charm!”
Ladybug threw her yoyo into the air where it spun, shooting out shapes of red. Then a small object fell landing in Ladybug’s hands.
“What is that?” Chat Noir asked looking at the red and black polka dotted object. It looked oddly familiar to Chat, like a bracelet or keychain made of beads but he couldn’t quite place it.
“It’s- It’s a lucky charm, of sorts,” Ladybug said, “but I’m not sure what to do with it,” she offered looking around for a clue.
The akumatized villains started to reach them then and Chat and Ladybug began to reflexively reflect their attacks as they continued their conversation.
“A lucky charm?,” Chat asked, “like the ones Nino and Alya are using to create that force field.”
“Not exactly,” Ladybug said, still looking around frantically, as her and Chat defended themselves “this one doesn’t have any magic. It was made for me by a friend. Actually he’s my boyfriend now,” she blushed.
Something in the back of Chat’s mind told him that that should mean something to him, as he asked her, “do you have it with you?”
“Yeah- ah- I think so- I don’t go anywhere without it,” she admitted as her blush deepened and she reached into her yoyo while Chat defended her.
“Here it is,” she offered showing the beaded bracelet to Chat. As soon as his eyes landed on it he froze. Once it was in colour he recognized it instantly. He had made it. And given it to-.
“Marinette,” he gasped as he was nearly impaled by an arrow, and the charm started to glow, “-it’s -it’s you. I can’t believe- But I guess I should have known. Smart, kind beautiful-.“
As Chat continued to talk the charm glowed brighter and brighter and the villains started to fall back, seemingly repulsed by the glow. It’s a good thing too because Chat was completely distracted and Ladybug was staring at him dumbfounded.
“What- How-,” she managed to stutter.
“It’s me,” Chat began, then figured it’d be better to show her. He opened his staff, reached in and pulled out a beaded lucky charm of his own.
“A friend made this for me too,” he offered, “she’s my girlfriend now,” he finished with a smirk.
Ladybug just stared at him blinking, “Adrien?“ she finally managed to get out.
“The one and only,” he said with a bow.
“This whole time,” Ladybug shakes her head, “with the puns and the showmanship-.”
“-and the loyalty and the partnership,” Chat defended.
“And that,” Ladybug smiled, and the charm in Chat’s hand continued to glow brighter.
“I’m so glad it’s you. That it’s always been you,” she said pulling Chat into a hug. “My boyfriend is also my best friend,” she laughed.
“My first love is also the love of my life,” Chat offered, “the only girl I’ve ever loved.”
“I love you too,” Ladybug said before pulling him into a kiss.
As they kissed the light from the charms grew brighter and brighter until it was blinding, then it continued to grow and grow sending light across the entire city, de-akumatizing every villain and de-evilizing every akuma in its path, leaving the streets full of confused citizens and the sky full of white butterflies.
Ladybug and Chat Noir were too preoccupied to notice any of this. In fact, they had been too preoccupied to notice that for the last several minutes their miraculouses had been blinking and beeping warning them of their imminent detransformations and that those detransformations were currently taking place as they continued to kiss.
So when they finally pulled apart they weren’t staring at their superhero partner but instead their civilian love.
“Ah- Marinette,” Tikki asked pulling the lovebird back to reality, “are you going to clean this up?” She finished gesturing to the ravaged city around them.
“And give me some cheese,” Plagg added, addressing Adrien.
“Together?” Marinette asked Adrien as she held out the spotted lucky charm.
“You got it Bug-a-boo,” he responded taking her hand.
“Miraculous Ladybug,” they shouted together as they threw the charm into the air and watched the magical ladybugs swarm out to repair the damage.
“So now what?” Adrien asked.
Marinette shrugged, “We’ll have to face Monarch eventually, but-“ she cut herself off, “I’m sorry, I- I wasn’t thinking,” she finished as she remembered that although Monarch was a supervillain and terrorist he was also Adrien’s father.
Adrien just shook his head but Marinette could see tears forming at the corner of his eyes, “It’s Ok,” he said, “he made his choices and now I get to make my own,” Adrien continued playing with a pair of rings, Marinette hadn’t seen before, “And I choose to build my own family. One where we love, care about and respect each other. One where we actually value each others happiness,” Adrien gave a small smile, “and I think I’m off to a pretty good start,” he paused looking at Marinette. “So when the time comes I want to be right by your side, and I know we will win. Together.”
“Always,” Marinette confirmed pulling her boyfriend into a hug.
She knew it wasn’t going to be easy but as long as they had each other they could get through anything.

From Ashes to Ember
Chapter 18 - Passing of the Torch
I sat precariously on the railing of the Eiffel Tower, the wind gently tousling my hair as I awaited the arrival of Chat Noir. Grandmaster Su-han stood silently behind me, his eyes scanning the surroundings for any sign of Chat Noir. With each passing minute, my irritation and anxiety grew.
Why now? Why did Chat Noir choose this moment to remain silent and elusive? The uncertainty gnawed at me, and I could sense Tikki's restlessness, her soul buzzing with unease as she searched for Plagg's aura. I shared her anxiety, feeling the weight of the impending task we were about to face. The fate of the city rested on our shoulders, and Chat Noir's absence was a sharp reminder of the unpredictable nature of our partnership.
"Is this Chat Noir of yours always this... unreliable?" Grandmaster Su-han's voice cut through the air, his words hitting me like a punch to the gut. I wanted to defend Chat Noir, to vouch for his reliability, but the truth lingered in the back of my mind. Countless times, he had let me down, failed to show up, or displayed an overly confident belief in my abilities. Anger bubbled within me, threatening to boil over, but I quickly pushed those thoughts aside, determined to maintain a semblance of composure.
"No, no he's not unreliable at all," I responded, my voice rising an octave. I attempted to exude confidence, but even I could hear the doubt creeping into my words. Grandmaster Su-han's impatience grew palpable, his foot tapping against the metal floor of the tower. Time seemed to stretch on, each passing second feeling like an eternity. I glanced at the clock, my eyes tracing the hands as they moved agonizingly slowly. Where was Chat Noir?
Just as despair threatened to consume me, a figure emerged in the distance, making its way towards us. It was Chat Noir, finally arriving after what felt like an eternity. Relief washed over me, easing the anxiety that had built up within me.
"Sorry, it took me so long, Bugaboo," Chat Noir apologized, reaching out to take my hand in his. However, before our fingers could intertwine, I snatched my hand away, a flicker of annoyance crossing my face. "I couldn't escape my civilian duties," he explained, his words laced with playful nonchalance. I couldn't help but roll my eyes at his antics.
"Now is not the time for that, Chat Noir," I snapped, my tone stern and focused. "We have more pressing matters to attend to." Finally, Chat Noir seemed to notice Grandmaster Su-han standing behind me, his eyes widening slightly as he took in the Grandmaster who was standing behind me.
Su-Han's piercing gaze bore into Chat Noir, his disappointment evident as he assessed the young hero. "Of course, it's just another child," he muttered under his breath, a touch of disdain coloring his words.
"Hey, who are you calling a child, you geezer!" Chat Noir retorted, his defensive tone betraying his wounded pride.
Sensing the rising tension, I quickly stepped in to ease the situation. "Relax, Chat. This is..." I began, but Su-Han interrupted me.
"I am Grand-Master Su-Han, the Celestial Guardian of the Mother Box," Su-Han declared, his words carrying an air of mystery and power. The atmosphere crackled with curiosity and skepticism as our unlikely trio stood atop the iconic landmark, ready to embark on an extraordinary adventure.
"But you're the guardian, Ladybug," Chat Noir responded, his voice tinged with a hint of skepticism.
Su-Han stood his ground, determination shining in his eyes. "When the lion speaks, the cub listens! Fu knew not what he was doing, and this one here has no suitable training for being a guardian," he stated firmly, his voice filled with authority.
Chat Noir's response was swift and filled with defiance. "What a ridiculous joke," he scoffed, extending his baton and assuming a fighting stance, ready to face Su-Han head-on. "And trust me, I know all about bad jokes."
Su-Han raised a bushy eyebrow, his posture exuding confidence. "And just what do you think you can do against me, little brat?" he taunted, his voice laced with arrogance.
Chat Noir swung his baton with lightning speed, aiming for Su-Han. But before the attack could connect, I swiftly intervened, grabbing the middle of the baton and halting the strike. Chat Noir's frustration seeped through his gritted teeth as he looked down at me, a mix of contempt and annoyance in his eyes.
"What do you think you're doing, Ladybug? Do you honestly believe this guy? He's clearly an akuma!" Chat Noir exclaimed, his voice filled with disbelief.
My voice rose as I stared back at Chat, annoyance flaring up within me. "No, Chat, what are you doing? If you took a second, you would know that my Kwami has already confirmed that he’s telling the truth. And if you took a minute to listen to Plagg, you would know that he also recognizes the Grandmaster’s presence.” I saw Chat Noir's expression harden, an unreadable emotion flickering across his face.
"Maybe you are smarter than I gave you credit for, Little Girl," Su-Han admitted, begrudgingly acknowledging my reasoning.
I turned my head to acknowledge Su-Han when an unexpected movement caught my eye. Out of the corner of my vision, I saw Chat Noir's leg extend as he attempted to sweep my leg and make me lose my balance. Reacting swiftly, I evaded his leg, grabbed his arm, and flipped behind him, swiftly bringing him down to the ground.
"Stand down, Chat!" I commanded, my voice firm as I asserted my authority.
"Now you two will hand over your miraculous to me," Su-Han declared, extending his hand with an air of authority. "I will reassign them to carefully selected, responsible adult holders, as any rightful guardian would do."
Chat Noir's defiance echoed through the room, his voice laced with determination. "Over my dead body will I ever give up my Miraculous!" he bellowed, his eyes blazing with a mix of anger and determination.
Frustration surged within me as I glanced between Chat Noir and Su-Han. The weight of the situation pressed heavily on my shoulders. Taking a deep breath, I mustered all the conviction I had. "Stop it, Chat!" I yelled, my voice filled with anger and urgency. "The Kwamis have confirmed it. Su-Han is the real original guardian of the Box. Maybe Master Fu was wrong. Maybe that's why we haven't been able to defeat Shadow Moth."
Chat Noir's gaze bore into mine, his eyes reflecting a mix of disbelief and disappointment. "You're being ridiculous, Ladybug!" he retorted, his voice tinged with frustration. "You always find a way. Just trust yourself, Ladybug, like I trust you. If you ask me to give my Miraculous back, I will. But you're the only Guardian here."
Su-Han seized the opportunity, his voice dripping with calculated authority. "Then it's settled," he declared, a glimmer of triumph in his eyes. "Order him to give you his Miraculous back, and let's be done with this. Then you will renounce being the Guardian so I can retrieve the Mother Box."
I felt my grip on Chat Noir loosen, and before I could react, he freed himself from my hold, standing before Su-Han with a defiant stance. "You want my ring? Then come and get it!" Chat Noir taunted, his voice daring the Grandmaster to make a move.
"Chat Noir, calm down!" I pleaded, my desperation seeping into my voice. "This is a Guardian you're talking to. We need to find a solution."
Su-Han's eyes narrowed, a glint of determination flashing across his face. "Why do you think Guardians study for so many years?" he questioned, each word filled with conviction. "Just to hand the Miraculous out to whomever? No. We are specially trained to overpower Miraculous holders who have gone rogue, like you!"
With lightning speed, Su-Han charged at Chat Noir, his movements precise and powerful. "Celestial Storm!" he called out, his fists becoming a blur as he struck Chat Noir with a series of well-placed hits. Chat Noir crumpled to the floor, and Su-Han triumphantly stood over him.
"Master Fu was way nicer," Chat Noir groaned, his voice filled with pain and frustration
"And his Mira-Kung Fu was worse," Su-Han retorted, a smug smile playing on his lips as he grabbed Chat Noir's hand, inching closer to his ring.
In a split second, I swung my yo-yo, its string latching onto Su-Han's wrist, pulling his hand away from Chat Noir's ring. "Su-Han!" I yelled, my voice filled with determination. "I am Ladybug, Guardian of the Chinese Zodiac Box! And I say that Chat Noir keeps his Miraculous, and so will I!"
"You insolent little girl!" Su-Han's voice boomed with rage as he lunged for Chat Noir, his fury evident in his eyes. "Stream of Justice! Blast through and annihilate my enemy!" Su-Han roared, attempting to hurl Chat Noir towards me.
With lightning-fast reflexes, I leaped over Chat Noir's body, landing a powerful blow to Su-Han's chest. But to my surprise, it had no effect. Su-Han effortlessly evaded every attack from Chat Noir, effortlessly countering my own strikes.
Frustration boiled within me as I struggled to land a hit. "I don't know how he's doing it, but he's somehow anticipating our every move!" I shouted, my voice filled with a mix of disbelief and determination. Su-Han's skill seemed unparalleled, effortlessly countering every punch and kick.
With a confident smirk, Su-Han boasted, "My Mira-Kung Fu is like water! It adapts and finds its way anywhere! And you, my dear, are at the mercy of the currents!" As he finished his sentence, he swiftly delivered a side-kick, sending both me and Chat Noir crashing into a nearby wall. The impact was jarring, but it only fueled my determination to bring Su-Han down.
The battle raged on, an intense clash of wills and skills. Each move I made was met with a calculated counter from Su-Han, his agility and precision unmatched. But I refused to back down. With every strike, I pushed myself to the limit, determined to find a weakness in his seemingly impenetrable defense. I looked at ChatNoir, urgency in my eyes as I pointed towards Su-Han with one hand, my yo-yo held tightly in the other. My mind raced as I tried to think of a way to outsmart Su-Han. "Chat Noir, grab his staff," I commanded, my voice filled with determination.
Su-Han's words rang out, taunting us, "The claws of the hungry cat, powerless against the milkman's iron box." Determined, I swiftly threw my yo-yo beneath Su-Han, activating a net that trapped him in place. It was the perfect opportunity. In one swift motion, I snatched Su-Han's sack, securing it tightly in my possession. The look of disbelief on his face only fueled my determination.
"What?" Su-Han exclaimed, his voice filled with shock. Seizing the moment, I swiftly snatched Su-Han's sack, triumphantly declaring, "Got it!" His expression turned to disbelief as he tried to comprehend what had just happened.
With a mischievous grin, ChatNoir playfully added, "Bye-bye!" as he delivered a powerful kick, propelling Su-Han into a nearby wall.
I shattered the wall with my yo-yo, burying Su-Han under the rubble. Though he managed to free himself, he soon realized that both ChatNoir and I had vanished, along with his staff and the mysterious box.
Su-Han muttered a final warning, "If you challenge the clouds, you will face the thunder!" His words echoed in the air, a reminder of the power he possessed.
Chat Noir and I sprinted through the darkened streets, our hearts pounding in sync with our hurried footsteps. The adrenaline coursing through my veins fueled my determination to put as much distance as possible between us and Su-Han. Finally, we found a secluded spot where we could catch our breath and regroup.
As we gasped for air, Chat Noir's voice broke the silence, his breathless words hanging in the air. "So like, what should we do? Should we detransform?"
My frustration boiled over, and I turned on him, my anger resurfacing. "And then what, Chat?!" I snapped, my voice laced with desperation. "He knows where I live! He knows who I am! I can't fucking run from him!"
The weight of my words hung heavily in the air between us. Chat Noir's eyes widened with a mix of surprise and guilt. He took a step back, his breath hitching as he struggled to find the right words. "Ladybug... I... I didn't know. I'm sorry," he stammered, his voice filled with remorse.
I sighed, my anger mixing with a tinge of sadness. "Of course, you didn't know, Chat. Because this is always some kind of game to you," I retorted, my voice filled with frustration. "Do you not realize how serious this actually is? My identity, my home, my life, everything is at stake."
“Ladybug! Chat Noir! Give me back the Mother Box and your Miraculous! Return them to the right hands!” I heard Su-Han's voice echoing in the air, demanding the return of the Mother Box and our Miraculous. The urgency in his words sent a shiver down my spine. Chat Noir and I locked eyes, a silent understanding passing between us. We had to protect these powerful artifacts at all costs.
“I want my cane back!” what I could only assume was an akumatized Master Fu yelled out, “and an apology!” In a swift motion, he painted the characters 雷电 (Léidiàn) in the air, summoning a dark cloud crackling with red lightning. Chat Noir and I swiftly dodged the dangerous bolts, our instincts guiding us to safety.
Su-Han, driven by his desire to obtain the Mother Box, lunged towards me, attempting to snatch it from my grasp. “Give me the box!” Su-Han grunts out, but I held onto it tightly, refusing to let it go.
“Never!” I shout back. Amidst the chaos, a bolt of lightning struck, causing both Su-Han and me to drop the box onto the field. It was a race against time as we both scrambled to retrieve it.
Unbeknownst to us, Shadow Moth, through Furious Fu, had noticed the Miracle Box and communicated his desire to possess it. "Furious Fu, bring me that box," his sinister voice commanded, setting the stage for a perilous chase.
Furious Fu leaped into action, pursuing the box with determination. Meanwhile, Chat Noir and I resorted to treating it like a football, kicking it back and forth, desperately trying to keep it out of Su-Han's reach. We were playing a dangerous game, aware that the fate of the Miraculous and the city hinged on our success.
In a moment of brilliance, Chat Noir managed to kick the box into the goalpost, exclaiming, "Gooaal!" It was a victorious moment amidst the chaos, but the game was far from over. Su-Han retreated, realizing the futility of his pursuit, while Furious Fu seized the opportunity to retrieve the box.
In a display of his mastery, Furious Fu painted the characters 瞬间移动 (Shùnjiān yídòng), invoking the power of teleportation. In the blink of an eye, he seized the box, forcing Su-Han to retreat. The threat had momentarily subsided, but the battle was far from over.
Shadow Moth reveled in his perceived victory, taunting us with his words, "One-zero, Ladybug."
I couldn't help but challenge the fairness of it all, accusing, "Red card! He touched the ball with his hands!" The frustration of our efforts being thwarted began to weigh on me.
Su-Han, observing from the sidelines, couldn't resist offering his unsolicited advice, criticizing our every move “No! Higher! Watch out! No, not like that! Ugh! So slow! Come on! Not that way!”
Chat Noir, growing increasingly frustrated, fired back at him, "Hey, Mr. Bossy Pants! Would it kill you to help us out here?" It was a moment of shared exasperation, as we all yearned for a united front against the impending darkness.
“The art of Mirakung-Fu is a martial art designed to neutralize rebellious miraculous holders! Not to fight a supervillain created through the magic of the miraculous!” Su-Han says, his tone dismissive and nonchalant.
I couldn't contain my frustration any longer, confronting Su-Han with the weight of our responsibility. "So we're supposed to fix your mistakes?!" I questioned, my voice filled with a mix of anger and disappointment. Su-Han's expression shifted, revealing a glimpse of shame, perhaps realizing the impact of his actions on the greater battle.
Furious Fu, his voice resonating with wisdom, gestured with his arms and hands, imparting his teachings. "Phantom Palms and the Awakened! The wise man moves mountains without touching them!" With a burst of energy, he sent both Chat Noir and me back, pointing towards Su-Han “You're next!”
Su-Han's battle cries echoed through the air, each word filled with determination and strength. He unleashed a flurry of fighting techniques, shouting, "A hundred thousand dragon talons! The pagoda breaker iron feet! The rage of the sunscreen with ingrown nails!" His energy was overwhelming, but our plan was about to take effect.
With a swift stroke of his paintbrush, Furious Fu wrote 雕像 (Diāoxiàng) in the air, directing its power towards Su-Han. The characters landed on his forehead, freezing him in place like a statue. It was a moment of triumph as Furious Fu took back his cane, finally regaining control of the situation. Shadow Moth's voice resonated from his lair, acknowledging Furious Fu's success with a simple, "Well done, Furious Fu." Shadow moth’s voice resonated over Furious Fu as he spoke, “Now you must keep your word and bring me Ladybug and Chat Noir's Miraculous.”
"Very well, all I have to do is take the wingless bat’s bell.” Furious Fu said with a devious smile on his face.
“No no not his bell! His ring!” But Shadow Moth’s cries fell on deaf ears.
As Chat Noir and I huddled together, formulating our plan, he expressed his confusion, insisting, "I am not a wingless bat!" I rolled my eyes at Chat’s behavior.
“Pay attention Chat.” I snapped out.
“But…”
"Chat Noir, we can't defeat him head-on. We have to make sure he doesn't defeat us either," I explained, hoping he would understand. His eyebrows furrowed in confusion, but he nodded, trusting my judgment
“Yeah, you lost me, m’lady,” Chat said and I shook my head.
“Just cover me! I have a call to make.” I took out my Bug-Phone and made a crucial call, setting the wheels in motion.
Meanwhile, Chat Noir prepared to distract Furious Fu, engaging him in a nimble swordfight. Furious Fu taunted him “The kitten can meow all he wants, but he will never roar like a tiger!”, underestimating his abilities and comparing him to a roaring tiger.
"Lucky Charm!" I exclaimed as the call ended. At that moment, I received a pair of bolt cutters. Looking around, I assessed the items available to me - Chat Noir's ring, a cage filled with footballs, my trusty yo-yo, and the newly acquired bolt cutters.
“What is she up to?” I heard Furious Fu ask as I made my way to the cage. He kicks Chat Noir away. He then uses his paintbrush to write 视力 (Shìlì) on the ground.
“Vision!" He calls out, as I realize that he's onto me, “So this is your silly litter plan. I know what you're going to do!” He shouts as he starts running towards me.
In a daring move, Chat Noir leaps onto Furious Fu from behind, stopping him in his tracks, “We’re not done yet!” Chat Noir yells out. With the bolt cutters in my hands, I break a lock and snatch a ball from the cage.
I hear Chat Noir shout out “CATACLYSM!”
My heart raced as I realized the danger. I couldn't let Chat Noir go through with it. I desperately called out, "No!" hoping to stop him in his tracks.
Furious Fu, seizing the opportunity, grabbed Chat Noir and took hold of his activated hand, threatening to use cataclysm against him. My mind raced, searching for a solution to this perilous situation. “You're going to turn yourself into cat food.”
“Take this!” I yell as in a split-second decision, I flung my yo-yo towards Furious Fu, hoping to distract him and buy us some time. But he effortlessly caught the string between his teeth, a display of his formidable skills.”And that!” Undeterred, I continued my efforts, determined to regain control of the situation. With all my strength, I sent my yo-yo towards Furious Fu once more, hoping to keep him at bay.
But Furious Fu was relentless. Despite my best efforts, he caught hold of me, gripping my arm tightly as he lifted me off the ground. Panic surged through me as I dangled helplessly, searching for a way to turn the tables.
Then, a glimmer of an idea sparked in my mind. I swiftly maneuvered the football I had retrieved, wedging it between Chat Noir's activated cataclysm and his chest. It acted as a shield, preventing Chat Noir's cataclysm from causing any harm."There! Voila! We win!" I declared, a triumphant smile crossing my lips.
Even in our moment of apparent victory, he sneered at me, holding the yo-yo string between his teeth. He taunted, "You think you've won? We're just stuck now! I can't defeat you, but you can't defeat me either!
Confidence surged within me as I met his gaze, knowing I had a trick up my sleeve. With a calm determination, I assured him, "Oh, but my plan was never to defeat you myself."
Just as Furious Fu seemed to revel in our predicament, Marianne, our resourceful ally, stepped forward. She deftly plucked the paintbrush from Furious Fu's ear, “Sorry, But I need to borrow this,” She said as she broke it in two. “There, exactly like you said on the phone ladybug.” As the brush shattered, Furious Fu released his grip on both me and Chat Noir, the akuma's hold over him dissipating.
“Thank you, Marianne, that was perfect.” Expressing my gratitude to Marianne for her impeccable timing, I opened my yo-yo, ready to capture the akuma and put an end to its mischief. I captured the akuma with a skilled catch, confidently declaring, "Gotcha! Bye-bye, little butterfly!" To further restore balance, I threw the bolt cutters into the air and activated the power of the Miraculous Ladybug. The storm dissipated, and Su-Han was freed from his frozen state.
As Chat Noir, Marianne, and I all turned to face each other we let out a resounding “Pound i-” Chat quickly pulled his fist back realizing that his Cataclysm was still active. He quickly touches the ball at his feet.
Sharing a moment of camaraderie Chat Noir, Marianne and I laughed in unison, exclaiming, "Pound it." The bond between us grew stronger, fortified by our shared triumphs.
I pulled out a charm from my yo-yo and handed it to Fu. “Here, carry this with you at all times. It will protect you from future attacks.” I could see gratitude and appreciation in his eyes as he accepted the charm, acknowledging its significance and the trust I had placed in him.
“And it will remind me of you every day. Thank you Lady Beetle and Mr. Bat,” Fu said with a big smile on his face. I watched as Su-Han approached Fu.
“I'm terribly sorry. Forgive me Whiny- uh Sir. I- I mistook you for someone who has been long gone.” Su-Han bowed down in front of Fu and presented the cane back to Fu.
“Don’t worry about it, it’s already forgotten.” Their exchange concluded with a mutual bow, marking the end of a challenging encounter.
Hours stretched on as I stood there, watching Fu and Marianne board the train, their departure marking the end of a challenging and eventful day. Exhaustion tugged at my bones, a reminder of the battles fought and the risks taken.
Weary, I made my way back to my home, the weight of responsibility settling upon my shoulders. As I entered my room, a sense of anticipation hung in the air. Grand Master Su-Han, ever watchful and stern, awaited me, his presence commanding attention.
"That was very irresponsible," Su-Han's voice carried a hint of disappointment as I closed the door behind me. His words struck a chord within me, stirring a mixture of guilt and defiance. I knew I had pushed the boundaries, involving Marianne, a civilian with no powers, in the dangerous battle we had faced. It went against the very precepts I was sworn to uphold.
The tears threatened to spill from my eyes, the weight of Su-Han's words heavy upon me. But just as I was about to speak up, to defend my actions or offer an apology, Su-Han extended his hand, halting my words in their tracks.
"This has proven two things," his voice softened, a glimmer of understanding shining in his eyes. "The first thing is that you dare to invent your own rules. As reckless as it may seem, somehow they all work. You possess a unique ability to think outside the box, to forge your own path."
His words stirred a sense of validation within me, the affirmation that my unorthodox methods had their place. I looked down, a mix of emotions swirling within me, unsure of how to respond.
But Su-Han wasn't finished. He continued, his voice tinged with a grudging respect, "The second thing is that your natural instincts tell you who you can trust. An essential quality for a guardian. Whiny Chicken- uh, sorry... Master Fu may not have made such a bad choice after all."
His unexpected words of understanding and acceptance washed over me, filling me with a sense of relief. A smile slowly curved upon my lips as I looked up at Su-Han. "Thank you, Grand Master," I expressed gratefully, my voice filled with genuine appreciation. "Your words mean a lot to me. I will continue to trust my instincts and strive to be the best guardian I can be."
A warm smile spread across my face, gratitude flooding my heart. Su-Han's words, laced with reluctant praise, held a profound significance. It was an acknowledgment that despite my unconventional approach, I had proven myself capable and trustworthy.
The Miracle Box," Su-Han began, his voice filled with reverence, "is the mother of all boxes. It is the very first one that was created, housing the most powerful magic jewels known to existence. The consequences of it falling into the wrong hands are unimaginable." His words hung in the air, a reminder of the weighty responsibility we carried.
A mixture of determination and uncertainty flickered in Su-Han's eyes as he continued, his voice filled with a newfound trust. "But I am going to trust you, my young guardian. I will keep a watchful eye from a distance, guiding you when I can. Furthermore, I will take advantage of my time here in Paris to immerse myself in modern life. How can I be a good guardian if I do not make an effort to understand the world around me?"
A sense of gratitude and determination filled me as I listened to his words. With a smile, I carefully returned the Miracle Box to its secret drawer, a hidden compartment I had constructed to keep it safe from prying eyes. "Thank you, Master," I expressed, my voice filled with sincerity. "Your trust means everything to me."
Before Su-Han could respond, I reached into my bag and pulled out a carefully wrapped package. With a mischievous grin, I handed it to him. "But I have something for you too," I said, anticipation dancing in my eyes. "I think you're gonna need these."
Curiosity piqued, Su-Han took the package in his hands and unwrapped it. His eyes widened in surprise as he beheld a brand new pair of sneakers, a stark contrast to the worn and tattered pair he currently wore.
A chuckle escaped Su-Han's lips as he looked down at his old footwear. "Ah, these old things have seen better days," he remarked, a mixture of amusement and gratitude in his voice. "Thank you, Ladybug. These new sneakers will undoubtedly come in handy in this fast-paced modern world."
We shared a moment of camaraderie, the exchange of gifts symbolizing the bond we were forging as master and guardian. As we prepared to face the challenges that lay ahead, we knew that we could rely on each other's support and strength.
With renewed determination, I took a deep breath, ready to continue my journey as Ladybug. Armed with the trust of my master and the power of the Miracle Box, I was prepared to face whatever darkness threatened to engulf Paris. The legacy of the Miraculous rested upon my shoulders, and I vowed to protect it with all my heart.

Miraculous Characters in Need of Therapy
⚠️Spoiler Warning⚠️
The characters in Miraculous have been traumatized over and over again throughout the past five seasons, some more than others. Some characters needed therapy long before the show's events began and for those characters, the need has certainly become more prevalent.
With all that Monarch has put the city of Paris through, everyone could really use some counseling, but I'm just going to touch on the ones who need it most.
Marinette Dupain-Cheng/Ladybug
Despite growing up bullied by Chloe, Marinette's real need for therapy started after she became Ladybug. She may not be a "normal girl with a normal life," but she did used to be. Although Marinette never says it explicitly, she makes it pretty clear that sometimes she longs for the days when her biggest problem was Chloe giving her a hard time.
While Marinette loves being able to help people and protect Paris as Ladybug, she is under constant pressure and it's only gotten more intense throughout the series. She is always saving everyone else. She's saved everyone she cares about from akumatization and in the process shouldered the burden of their troubles on top of hers.
After the season four finale, Marinette now has even more trauma and anxiety weighing her down. She's scared of loving anyone out of fear of it being used against her and getting in her way of stopping Monarch. She's still scared of what happened in Chat Blanc and of losing Chat Noir. In the last four and a half seasons, Marinette has developed trust issues and anxiety that have continued to worsen overtime.
There have been many hints at what will happen when Marinette gives up her Miraculous. However, it's important to remember that when she does give up being Ladybug, she'll also be giving up her role as guardian. When this happens, she'll forget everything and while I dread thinking about her losing her memory, I do wonder if she'll also lose her anxieties or if those are now a permanent part of her psyche.
Adrien Agreste/Chat Noir
I could make a whole post alone on why going to therapy would be good for Adrien and why he needs it, but for now I'm just going to hit the highlights.
Unlike Marinette, Adrien's psychological problems began long before he became Chat Noir. Adrien grew up with a loving mother who disappeared after being sick for a while. He grew up with a loving father too, but after his mom vanished, Adrien's dad became distant and unreliable. Adrien never had real friends growing up and didn't know life outside the walls of his home.
Adrien really started living when he began going to school and when he became Chat Noir. Being Chat Noir gives Adrien an escape and a chance to truly be himself. However, he does still face some of the same anxiety as Ladybug when he is battling villains. Chat Noir often worries about disappointing or failing Ladybug, which leads him to put more pressure on himself in the field.
When he's not Chat Noir, Adrien is busy balancing his other dozen responsibilities. Adrien is a people pleaser particularly concerned with pleasing his father. He pushes his limits on everything because if he doesn't, he knows he'll be ridiculed for it. Since Adrien never gets a break, he's never able to fully process or grieve any trauma he faces.
A part of being a people pleaser is feeling you can never open up to anyone when you're struggling because you don't want anyone to see you as "weak." We see this with Adrien when he is unable to tell his friends just how miserable he is as a model. Adrien knows he's loved, but he still can't help but keep things bottled up because that's what he's always been used to.
Adrien has gone through so much and has grown so accustom to trauma that therapy would be challenging for him. It would take a while before a therapist could get through to him and once they did, there would be a lot to sift through. But, Adrien would probably be much better off once he's been given a chance to comfortably open up and process everything he's been through.
Kagami Tsurugi
Kagami honestly deserves so much better. This girl has gotten the short end of the stick on everything. Her mom is horrible to her, she's in love with Adrien but he's in love with her best friend, and she always ends up as the middle man between Adrien and Marinette. Also, now she's apparently a sentimonster, which really caught me off guard.
Kagami is socially awkward and has a really hard time letting lose and being herself. She's introverted for sure, but she's also been heavily influenced by the harsh environment her mom raised her in. Kagami never got to be a kid or have friends. For so long, Kagami's mom was the only person she was able to have any kind of bond with, which was detrimental to Kagami's social skills and overall life satisfaction.
Since she has spent so much of her life with no ability to experience freedom, Kagami doesn't know how to be independent. She struggles with asking others for help and ends up letting people walk over her. Kagami's mom has always been in control, keeping Kagami from ever branching out on her own to make mistakes or learn anything that her mom doesn't push on her.
Nathalie Sancoeur
Nathalie is like an older version of Kagami, in my opinion. She honestly just wants the best for the people she loves and that often doesn't go in her favor. Like Kagami watching Marinette and Adrien fall for each other, Nathalie has stayed on the sidelines in support while she watched Gabriel and Emilie fall in love and start a family like she always wanted.
For so long, Nathalie and Gabriel were a team working together to get Ladybug and Chat Noir's miraculous. However, now that Gabriel has gone rogue, Nathalie is desperately trying to keep Adrien safe and far away from Gabriel. This added pressure as well as the deepening guilt and sorrow she feels have been crushing her this season, and for the first time, we are getting some real insight into Nathalie's background and emotions.
From the additional information we have learned this season, it has become more clear how severe Gabriel has been taking advantage of her. Out of all the people Gabriel has victimized, Nathalie's treatment has been among the worst.
As the plot thickens and Nathalie's health continues to get worse, I am interested to see how her story specifically plays out. Nathalie knows everything about Gabriel's history and madness, which means she could easily ruin him. However, it's unclear how bad the truth could hurt Nathalie and Adrien as well.

Vengeance Noire
Vengeance Noire by phieillydinyia
After a horrific argument with his father, Adrien escaped from the mansion with his heart in pieces. In hindsight, it made sense why an akuma was sent his way. He shouldn't have let his emotions get the better of him.
But he never expected Plagg to be even more upset than he was. He never expected his own kwami to be akumatized. To become the threat of a city he swore to protect. And what's worse is the fact that Chat Noir can't jump in to save this one.
But Ladybug can. And that's why he has to find her as quickly as possible, suit or no suit.

wait ok this isnt an mlb blog but i hafta give my two cents on this.
victim/villain in question is a trans person who was akumatised bc of dysphoria and cis ppl just brushing it off as overreacting. the Gender Beam™ not just transes everyones gender, but gives them dysphoria as well, so "you can all finally feel what i have to go through every day!" (there's gotta be an ongoing gag where hawk/shadow moth keeps misgendering them and every time the villain gets closer and closer to betraying hawkmoth and rocking his shit. even better if they succeed, like in the shanghai special.)
marinette gets hit and she's like oh my god. this feels awful, people really have to live like this? im gonna start learning how to sew binders, how to cut n style hair, tikki do you think i could be a surgeon - bc her natural thought process is like "i need to help people in any way i can" n after realising how much things like binders n changes in hairstyle can help after her temporary dysphoria being eased as ladybug, she has a lot more perspective now.
MEANWHILE, adrien gets hit by the Gender Beam™ and is just like oh. nothing happened. i guess this is what they meant by gender doesnt equal your biology and how its a social construct? guess we can face this villain easily after all! n when he transforms into chat noire he gets the more feminine outfit hes secretly always wanted to try and is like oHHhHHHhhh boy this shit do be hitting different. huh, where'd that lingering feeling of existential dread go? i can kinda roll w this. maybe i should go for a more fem look more often? then they get confusedly they/them'd and then she/her'd and she's like YOOoOOo. this kind of fucks, actually,
so while fighting the villain ladybug's all like "my chest feels tight i need to take this binder off but i cant bc ill feel like throwing up and- chat?" and chat is just. looking at themself in the mirror, absolutely in awe, super confident, goes and whoops the villains ass and frees the akuma with only a bit of ladybugs help. ladybug puts everything back to normal but chat's suit stays the same while ladybugs goes back to normal and chat's just like "hey lb... i dont actually think i felt anything different when i got hit by that beam. i think... i think this is just me."
ladybug's surprised, but after what she just went through shes just like "ok what do u want ur pronouns to be then. any change in superhero name? do you want me to make you a pronoun pin? should i call you m'lady from now on-" and chat just cuts her off before her questions get more n more outrageous, going "he, she and they all work, nah, yes please, and absolutely bugaboo" and ladybug just realises what she walked into and is like wow, yep that's still my chat noir alrighty
akuma villain power that’s just “trans your gender”
Marinette and adrien get hit by the Gender Beam, and of course, look the same. But they don’t feel the same. So their hero transformations look different for the episode!! Ladybug has a binder and cropped hair and a more masculine suit design. Chat Noire gets some high heeled boots just for fun (he’s always wanted to try them), with a more feminizing outfit and longer hair.
and at the end of the episode Ladybugs just “damn it was fun being a boy today! ok im gonna go back to my pink jeans i miss them goodbye chat noir” and leaves and Chat Noir is just “yknow what bein a girl aint that bad” and comes out as genderfluid next patrol.
#this got long uh#i really like the concept of genderfluid chat ok#totally has nothing to do w my own genderfluidity#and the fact that chat gives me insane levels of gender envy#what ever do you mean im projecting ahahaha#adrien probably wouldnt come out bc i cant imagine gabriel taking it well#but it works bc its not that he hates being a boy he just... is sometimes a girl too#sometimes neither#sometimes multiple at once#so when he feels less 'boy' than hes comfortable with#he just escapes as chat noir and hits the city#probably leading to more marichat shenanigans bc they'd just wanna be a girl/enby sometimes even w/out a villain to fight#n if he was feeling a strong masc lean his suit would go back to being the canon one#ladybug ends up forgoing the pronoun pin thing bc how chat's suit looks would reflect what gender they're feeling most at that time#but she keeps switching up the pronouns for her bc it makes her happy <3#marinette making them a pride themed scarf and chat is like lb... this is so sweet but i cant wear this as a civillian#youd recognise me AND im also not out yet#and shes like oh... i got excited im sorry#but chat just ends up wearing it to every patrol#yeah <3#i could go on but ill stop

Eldritch Situations
(The long-awaited sequel to Eldritch Toddler)
Summary:
Five times a teenage Danny and a toddler Danny did something supernatural to get out of something inconvenient, and the one time they didn't have to.
6 chapters in total.
To Be Released
path of reckless abandon
Genre: Hurt/Comfort, Family Feels
Summary: Bruce finds out he had a son with an accidental, drunk one night stand and wants to do his best and be there for the boy after missing so much of his life. Danny, said son, would very much like his world to go back to being normal. And yet, he can't seem to turn down any and all opportunities to get to know his father better, and the life he could have had. Danny has never claimed to have masochistic tendencies. But it certainly looks like he might be starting to.
Ships: Past Brief Maddie Fenton/Bruce Wayne
escape
Genre: Horror/Thriller/Mystery
Summary: An unfamiliar alien species has come to Earth in search of an equally unknown species known as 'halfas'. With most of the planet's governments unwilling to allow the travelers' free access to the Earth and its populace, it's left to the Justice League to investigate the truth and possibly even convince the only living halfa left in existence to come meet and aid these alien visitors.
Meanwhile, Danny faces his own problems. It might be said that Phantom haunts Amity Park, but let it be said that the Ghost Zone haunts Danny right back.
Ships: None/TBD
danny (fenton) luthor's how-to guide to dying
Genre: Heavy Angst, Hurt/Comfort, Family Feels
Summary: You know the story Danny keeps telling everyone about his heart failure in lex luthor's ascent from supervillainy to fatherhood? This is the full truth behind it.
In other words: On September 30th, Danny died. Sometimes it's easy to forget the people who had to deal with the aftermath. (It's not easy to forget the consequences.)
abandonment issues
Genre: Action, Hurt/Comfort, Friendship
Summary: Chat Noir hasn't been in Paris for weeks now, and Ladybug has little to no clue why. She can never seem to get him on the phone either, only voice messages traded back and forth that never tells her any details. She only gets a better idea when she sees him on the news taking down a mysterious enemy alongside Gotham City's Red Robin and another, unknown vigilante. Ladybug doesn't know how to fix this.
Chat Noir has his own set of problems to deal with. It doesn't stop him from feeling bad for ghosting Ladybug.
Ships: TBD
learning to love again (love yourself)
Genre: Friendship, Hurt/Comfort
Summary: It starts like this: Adrien meets Danny, Danny meets Adrien. They hit it out of the park. It ends like this: Danny, on the floor, taking a shot meant for Adrien. There are a million things left unsaid in between.
Ships: TBD
treading the waves
Genre: Thriller, Mystery
Summary: It shouldn’t be surprising that the GIW has a high turnover rate, what with their poor rep and all the wild situations their agents tend to get involved with in Amity Park. Agents have come and gone before, that’s nothing new. Yet, when the head of operations gets ousted, no one is prepared for their replacement. The GIW might have been widely considered nuisances, but that was more for their penchant for property damage and general incompetence. But this new guy? He’s ready and willing to crack down on Amity Park’s ghost problem with an iron fist.
And even he can see that there’s something very off about Daniel Fenton.
Ships: None/TBD
brittle (This title is subject to change)
Genre: Action, Hurt/Comfort
Summary: When Duke is discovered to be a metahuman and taken by a shadowy organization, he finds himself struggling at a loss of what to do. He knows he has to help save all these other metahuman children, but how can he do that without revealing his secret identity and training? Thankfully, his cellmate, Danny, seems willing to help.
Ships: TBD (Possible Duke x Danny)
One-Shots
a grieving man's grave
Genre: TBD
Summary: On the anniversary of his parents' deaths, Bruce spots Danny in that same alleyway. It goes about as well as you might expect.
Ships: None
troubles with immortality
Genre: Hurt/Comfort
Status: In the Works
Summary: Duke might be immortal. He doesn't know how to feel about that. Luckily, his new friend Tucker knows someone who might be able to help out.
Ships: None
time is an illusion, reality is a joke (and i'm the puncline)
Tags TBA: Angst, Injury, Hurt/Comfort, Batfamily
Summary: Bruce is saved from the brink of death by a mysterious meta. The more obsessed he grows in finding his teenage rescuers, the more his family worries about him. Especially since, by all indications, this teenager literally does. Not. Exist.
That is, until someone else nearly does too.
Unholy
Tags TBA: Graphic Injury, Hurt/Comfort, Whump, Heavy Angst
Summary: Amity Park stands at a precipice of its very own annihilation. The tenuous balance that it has maintained for the past few centuries has finally begun to tip sideways, and not in a favorable direction. People are fleeing, although some remain behind, intent to help as many as they can and possibly even restore the balance between realms.
With great reluctance, Maurice Foley takes his young daughter and flees from Amity Park at the advice of his wife and son, who choose to stay in the crumbling Amity Park. He flees to safety in the form of his brother-in-law, Jefferson Pierce, otherwise known as Black Lightning. When Jeff finds out about the state of his sister and brother-in-law’s home city, he takes the matter to the Justice League in hopes of saving Amity Park from complete ruin.
They don’t make it in time.
[Next part of the lex luthor's guide series!]
lex luthor's list of filed complaints
Summary: Lex gets owned on a live television event by a teenager. In other news, Lex has a new intern! Somewhere along the way, he becomes a father to said intern, because obviously no one is parenting this child, so Lex will just have to do it himself.

Okay, so imagine Shadowmoth being revealed to be Gabriel in front of Ladybug and Chat noir. Now Chat noir is stunned, and before he even gets to say anything Ladybug is just SEETHING with Rage.
"HOW COULD YOU DO THIS!?" Punch shadowmoth so he flew and hit the container.
"Do you know how much Damage you have done. Do you know how much I had to sacrifice?"
Ladybug's fist is trembling.
"Do you know how much tragedy I had to endure because of you!?"
Shadowmoth is stunned.
"I used to admire you, I wanted to be a designer like you. You had a brand, a style and even had..."
Ladybug remembered Adrien. And now a new level of anger emerged.
Shadowmoth trying to get up but Ladybug tying him up and just slamming him repeatedly.
"You have a son who needed you." Slam
"A boy that is constantly trying to do everything to get your approval." Smash
"A boy that only wanted you to be happy! And what do you do?"
Shadowmoth trying to escape but Ladybug aint having it. Tightens the yo-yo.
"You lock him away! Keep him from his friends! Put him in danger Constantly!"
"You tried to destroy 3 different cities! and each time your son was there!"
Shadowmoth is clearly dazed and trying to move but Ladybug slams him again onto the floor.
Chat noir had to calm Ladybug down.
A hug from behind.
Shadowmoth finally managed to stand up. Still very shaken.
"You know nothing. I did all of this for my family."
"No. You did this for yourself."
Chat noir spoke up.
"Dont act as if you could..."
"I know because you are my father."
And that was an emotional slam

identity crisis—ladynoir
Summary: Chat Noir discovers that despite wearing a supersuit, it’s still possible to get a concussion. He also discovers that after hitting your head hard enough, it’s practically impossible to keep a secret identity.
Ladybug is not sure what to make of concussed-Chat-Noir, who is either suffering an identity crisis and thinks himself to be Adrien Agreste, or is Adrien Agreste.
The first option seems more believable.
Notes: or, chat noir gets hit in the head and accidentally kind of reveals his identity.
Word count: 2.2k
Read on AO3
It’s a normal day when the akuma lands a hit on Chat Noir. Ladybug hasn’t quite made out just what caused this akumatization, because she wields a wok as her weapon, which she whacks with a quite horrifying thump across the back of Chat’s head, and he crumbles like a paper doll. Lesson of the day: cats are apparently no match against frying pans. At least not this one. Panic thrumming through her veins, she snatches up Chat’s limp body and flees. The akuma has an agenda of her own, because she doesn’t give chase, allowing Ladybug ample time to escape onto a secluded rooftop and lay Chat Noir down on the ground, beginning to panic. By then, he’s coming to his senses. The moment she sets him down, he begins to push himself up into a sitting position, blinking wide green eyes at her. “Ladybug?” The words are slightly slurred, and his gaze becomes unfocused. “Um…what’s going on?” “Are you okay?” she demands, gripping his shoulders. Chat stares at her for a couple of moments, still wide-eyed. He blinks a couple more times, then tilts his head at her. It takes at least another ten seconds before he finally gives her a nod. “I’m okay.” Ladybug has a creeping suspicion that the hit to his head had jolted a couple screws loose and he’s not okay. A concussion, from the looks of it. She’d been concussed when she was ten; he’s displaying similar symptoms to what her parents often describe to her. “Chat,” she says slowly, standing up to take a step back. “How many fingers am I holding up?” She holds out four fingers to him. He looks at her hand, opens his own, and starts counting, finger by finger. Five seconds later, he’s come to a conclusion. “Four.” It’s the correct answer, but the way he got around to it is definitely worrying. Ladybug sighs. “You’ve got a concussion,” she tells Chat Noir, as if that’ll ever stop him. “You need to sit this one out. I’ll purify the akuma and that’ll fix you up as well.” He doesn’t take nearly as long to respond this time, but there’s still a noticeable, worrying gap between when she finishes talking and he finally gets the words out. And the words, of course, are: “I’m not concussed.” “Chat, you’re definitely concussed.” He thinks about it. “You can’t be concussed in the middle of the day.” “You can be concussed at any—okay, we aren’t having this conversation. Stay here, I’ll come find you after I deal with the akuma. Got it?” “No,” he argues back stubbornly, and Ladybug knows that she really shouldn’t be expecting anything different from him. “If you’re going to sit me out, at least let me sit somewhere else.” There’s a boom in the distance, making her jump. Ladybug channels all of her patience into her reply, because talking to concussed-Chat-Noir is kind of like talking to Manon. “Why do you want to sit somewhere else?”
He lifts one clawed finger to point directly behind her, and with a bit of impatience, Ladybug turns around to follow the direction he’s gesturing towards. There’s nothing out of the ordinary: just buildings, and an Adrien Agreste the Fragrance ad that probably blesses a thousand other places in the city. “There’s nothing there, Chat.” He scrunches his entire face up. “I hate that ad. I don’t want to look at it if you’re going to make me wait for you. Why did they make me look like that? It’s so over the top.” Ladybug turns around again, trying to spot the ad that he’s talking about. There’s still nothing there. “That’s Adrien Agreste,” she informs Chat Noir. As an afterthought she adds: “And there’s nothing wrong with the way Adrien looks in that ad.” He sticks out his tongue in a disgusted gesture. “You don’t understand the feeling of seeing your face in every corner you turn. Makes you wanna barf.” On that note, he pushes himself unsteadily to his feet, sways, and almost topples onto Ladybug. “I should just go fight the akuma with you. I’m feeling better anyway.” Ladybug gawks at him. “How hard did the akuma hit you in the head?” she marvels. “You definitely cannot fight in this state. You think you’re Adrien Agreste!” He folds his arms. “I don’t think I’m Adrien Agreste. I am Adrien Agreste. Besides, how would you know I’m not Adrien Agreste? You know him, or something?” She panics for a brief moment. “N-no! You’re clearly not in the right mind right now, because you’re definitely not Adrien.” Chat makes a noise of protest when she steers him by the shoulders to the side. “You don’t believe me?” he continues. He slurs the words as soon as he tries talking fast—concussion, Ladybug reminds herself. He hit his head hard enough to adopt some sort of identity crisis, and he probably thinks he’s Adrien because the first person he saw was Adrien on the ad. They both have blonde hair and green eyes, but… well. The similarities end there. “If you don’t believe me, I can prove it. I wouldn’t lie to you. Ever.” She slings one of Chat Noir’s arms over her shoulders and starts walking towards the corner of the roof. “I don’t think you’re lying to me, I think you’re hallucinating, chaton. Because, you know, the concussion?” “I’m definitely not hallu—hallunating? Haci—hallicin—how do you say that word? Ladybug, can you say it slower?” “Ha-llu-cin-at-ing.” He repeats it to himself quietly under his breath. Given that display of his current state, Ladybug decides that an identity crisis probably isn’t that far-fetched. Right. Identity crisis, she repeats to herself one more time. She finds a nice corner to set Chat Noir down in, where he’s turned away from the Adrien Agreste ad so he can’t complain about it. When he sees she’s leaving him, he tries to get up and insist that he’s in a “perfectly perfect state to help”. It takes far too long of coaxing to make sure her partner stays where he is. She ruffles his hair, promises she’ll be back as soon as possible, and is off to defeat the akuma.
***
Fighting without Chat Noir is difficult. The fact that she’s surrounded by four different ads of Adrien Agreste does not help her case in the slightest. Ladybug spots one, tries to imagine messy hair and scheming grin, and it doesn’t match up. But oh—come to think of it, isn’t the shape of their jaws quite similar? Or perhaps she’s beginning to hallucinate? The wok nearly catches her around the head as well during her distraction. At one point, the akuma whacks her with enough force to send her slamming into the bus stop, right into another Adrien ad, and Ladybug cannot breathe. Focus, she chides herself. (If Chat Noir is—if, what if, a very, very unlikely if—Adrien Agreste, then doesn’t that mean she’s kissed her crush—the love of her life—on multiple occasions?) She throws her yo-yo at the wok and attempts to pull it out of the akuma’s hands. (If Chat Noir is Adrien Agreste, does that mean… she’s turned down Adrien Agreste on multiple occasions… for Adrien Agreste?) The akuma yanks her, hard, and sends her flying. (If Chat Noir is Adrien Agreste, does that mean she confessed to him as Marinette, subsequently faked crying about his rejection, then celebrated with Tikki?) Ladybug hits the ground at an odd angle and winces. (If Chat Noir is Adrien Agreste, does that mean that he’s the same person who’s thrown himself in front of her—in front of danger—time and time again, each time making her angry and fond and frustrated?) Right. It’s unlikely, now that she counts back. Chat Noir can’t be Adrien Agreste, because Adrien has perfect hair and a polite way of speaking and—hadn’t there been that occasion where he’d leaned in much to close and teased her in a voice that sounds a lot like Chat’s, now that she thinks about it—are you lying? No. Nope. No way. Can’t be. But Chat Noir’s eyes are green under the mask; she knows that much from when he was Mister Bug. They are emerald green, the prettiest shade, much like Adrien Agreste. Adrien Agreste was the one who wrote a poem for a girl with bluebell eyes and hair as dark as night… but it sounds suspiciously similar to Chat Noir’s stupid, cheesy, adorable poetry that he sometimes leaves for her. Chat Noir had initially planned to stay in Paris while she went to New York with the class. Until she convinced Gabriel Agreste to let Adrien leave, and then Chat miraculously showed up in New York as well. Last minute, he’d proclaimed, guilty and apologetic and pleading for her to understand. Adrien Agreste had used second-chance as Aspik nearly thirty thousand times just to save her when she should’ve been no more than a stranger to him—unless… she wasn’t. Unless he’d done similar things for her before, just under a different mask. Adrien Agreste is the one who’d stood by her when no one else could, because it was them against the world. Her yo-yo catches the wok finally, and Ladybug whips it against the ground hard enough to break the metal. By the time Ladybug has purified the akuma and cast the cure, she’s confused and uncertain and has more questions than answers. She returns the wok to the lady, who heads home, and watches as Chat Noir’s familiar silhouette vaults closer and closer on his baton. She usually wouldn’t complain about being surrounded by four Adrien Agreste ads, but Ladybug really cannot handle that right now. Still, it’s too late to run. Chat Noir lands lightly next to her and gives her a smile-wince. “Sorry, m’lady,” he comments lightly, resting his hands on the top of the baton. “Looks like you dealt with this one on your own, though.” When she doesn’t reply, he leans forward slightly. “You okay?” She happens to see the second Adrien ad in her periphery before turning her attention to Chat. OH MY GOD HE’S TOO CLOSE HELP— “Fine!” Ladybug squeaks, leaping back two meters. “Great!” Chat raises an eyebrow. “You okay?” Does he not remember? Granted, she hadn’t remembered what had happened during her concussion when she got it, but that can also be attributed to the fact that she was ten. “Do you know what happened?” Ladybug presses carefully, trying very hard to ignore the blaring alarm in her head that’s screaming ADRIEN AGRESTE ADRIEN AGRESTE ADRIEN AGRESTE without a hint of ceasefire. "The akuma hit me,” Chat recalls very slowly. “Then the next thing I knew I was on a random rooftop and your Miraculous Ladybugs were fixing everything. Why? Did something important happen?” “You don’t remember anything you said when you were concussed?” He scratches his head. “Am I supposed to? Did I say something bad?” Not much, apart from either undergoing an extreme identity crisis or accidentally revealing your actual identity and subsequently turning out to be the guy that I, Walking Human Disaster in my civilian form, has the biggest, terriblest, most embarrassing crush on. The same guy I’ve been repeatedly rejecting you for. “Not really,” Ladybug replies as nonchalantly as possible. “You were just telling me how you wanted a pet dog over a pet cat when you were a child.” Chat’s mouth drops open. “I did not.” “You did.” “Okay, so we clearly know that I lie when I’m concussed. Anything else?” Ladybug can’t help but sneak another peek at the third Adrien ad. She also can’t resist the temptation to point at the fourth one and ask in her most casual voice ever, “What do you think of Adrien Agreste?” Chat Noir’s entire body stiffens for a heartbeat before he loosens up again, drapes his baton over his shoulders, and asks, “Why him?” “You also had some thoughts about the Adrien the Fragrance ad on the building across from you when you were concussed.” The corner of his smirk seems to falter. Bingo, Ladybug thinks hazily, even if the pride for catching that slip-up is covered by confusion and mortification and delight and still-lingering disbelief. “Thoughts,” Chat finally echoes, and he looks very nervous. “What kind of thoughts?” “You didn’t seem to like it.” His mouth forms an O, and Ladybug swears she can see the calculations crossing his face. Then, with a large sweep of his arms, Chat nods enthusiastically. “Yeah, I really don’t like Adrien Agreste,” he blurts. “It’s just—it’s just too much, you know? All the ads everywhere, like you can’t go a street without seeing his face. Honestly, he just doesn’t seem that great to me, y’know? I would look much better on those ads. That hair? Those clothes? He’s a walking disaster. Don’t know what people see in him.” As if that hasn’t been overcompensating enough, Chat adds, “I’m clearly the better blonde out of us two.” Ladybug’s not a particularly great liar, but Chat Noir really takes the cake. He’s an awful liar. Always has been, but this is one of his worst attempts. Probably because he’s so flustered. Still, she has to hand it to him. There’s still so much for her to figure out and Ladybug has to draw a few more venn diagrams and put the Chat-Noir-is-Adrien-Agreste theory through statistical analyses before allowing herself a more solid conclusion, but… She looks at Chat, who has launched into his second tirade of why he hates Adrien Agreste, each reason more ridiculous than the rest, and smiles.

A chat can never have too many flowers (Part 1)
Summary: It's been two years since Hawkmoth was defeated and Adrien left the city he had called home. Now he's back walking through the streets of Paris trying to escape the ghosts he thought he'd moved on from. That is until he bumps into an old friend. Who reminds him of all the good things of his past. Adrien finds himself inexplicably drawn to her and wants to spend time with her. The problem? As far as Marinette knows Chat noir is back in Paris, not Adrien, but it's not like a cat themed superhero buying plants from a random flower shop almost every day would be weird right?
Hi! I have no self control :D so here is a full fic of this idea. I will try to update weekly. Thank you so much @vroomtaka for beta reading and encouraging my crazy ideas! Please let me know what you think! Comments really motivate me to keep writing.
Memories, everywhere he turned Adrien felt a flood of memories wash over him. Some filled him with longing. They reminded him of the happiest days of his life. But those memories were overshadowed by the bad ones. In his eyes he wasn't seeing the beautiful streets of Paris he had grown up in. No, he was seeing the broken city he had fled from.
Two years had passed, Paris had healed, its citizens had moved on. Still, now that he was back Adrien realized that he hadn't, not completely. He'd be left behind with the ghosts and remains of what had happened on that fateful day.
~~~
"Plagg claws out!"
Chat didn't want to think that by transforming he was running away again. But just walking down a Parisian street was getting overwhelming. Vaulting from rooftop to rooftop had always helped him clear his head. Besides, it would be easier to find Ladybug that way.
Before he left, Ladybug wanted for them to reveal their identities, something that Chat realized would have been very useful for him now that he wanted to find her, but back then he had been the one to refuse. Which had surprised Ladybug, since he was usually the one who wanted desperately for them to reveal their identities.
But after Hawkmoth's defeat, he felt ashamed. Ashamed of literally living under the same roof as the villain they had been fighting for years and never suspecting a thing. Ashamed of almost falling for his father's trick sand helping him get his mother back. Ladybug could never find out who he was because Chat knew that she would be disappointed in him, and that thought alone hurt worse than his father's betrayal.
Chat stopped at one of the rooftops when he realized that he didn't have much of a plan. Wandering around wouldn't really help much if she wasn't on patrol. So he took out his baton and called his lady.
Unsurprisingly, she didn't pick up, but Chat figured a voicemail would probably be his best bet to find her. "Heyyy bugaboo," he said. He paused as the nostalgia hit him. God, he really missed the old days.
After taking a deep breath, he continued "I just wanted to let you know that I'm back in town so if you want to meet up and catch up let me know! You know where to find me." Chat hung up and prayed that she would remember their special place.
Once he put away his baton, Chat realized that he now had another problem. He needed to find a way to kill time until Ladybug responded. He really did not want to continue his trip down memory lane, and he didn't want to bother Nino since they were going to meet the day after. So he didn't really have much to do.
Chat was starting to contemplate the idea of just sitting on the rooftop until he got a response when something caught his eye. Just diagonally from the building where he was standing, there was a flower shop. It was perfect! He could find Ladybug a gift while he waited for her response!
With newfound enthusiasm, he grabbed his baton and lowered himself to the ground. Then he headed towards the flower shop.
~♡~♡~♡~
Marinette took a step back to examine her handiwork. She was in charge of redecorating the storefront of the flower shop, which was one of her favorite tasks of her job. She had to make sure that all the hanging flower pots looked even and with a healthy mix of colors. Change the flowers of the bicycle prop, this time to a beautiful basket of multicolored tulips. As well as make new bows to go with it.
There were also flowers and succulents lined up neatly in some upside-down wooden crates surrounding the bicycle. The only thing missing were the small chalkboard signs that stated the prices. So Marinette went inside the shop to get them.
She stopped for a moment when a new bunch of carnations caught her eye. Immediately an image of a beautiful red dress came to her mind.
That was another thing she loved about her job. Not only did it pay for her design career, but it was also a source of endless inspiration for her designs. She was already thinking of the fabric she could use when she heard someone clear their throat.
"Mmm Marinette?"
Marinette quickly snapped away from her thoughts feeling embarrassed that she had gotten distracted again. A sketch of the dress would have to wait for later. The signs were more important at that moment.
"Sorry," Marinette said sheepishly to her coworker Michelle.
Michelle was the owner's niece. She was doing a music major and had become one of Marinette's closest friends after working together for almost a year. Michelle laughed. "It's fine Mari! I know how you get when you get inspired. Though I'll never understand how you can see a sad little flower, and make a whole outfit out of it."
Marinette giggled. "If your aunt hears you talking about flowers like that she's going to fire you."
Michelle made a face. "She can try."
Marinette grinned, she wasn't wrong. Despite all the things Michelle pulled, her aunt didn't do much other than laugh and threaten to kick her out.
Once again Marinette remembered the reason she was there. "Hey, have you seen the chalkboard signs?" She asked.
Michelle nodded. "Yep! They are in the back inside a plastic bin next to the extra flower pots."
Marinette thanked her and went to the back. Sure enough, they were in the exact spot Michelle had described. Marinette grabbed a box of chalk and placed it on top of the bin. Then she picked it up and headed towards the door.
Unfortunately, trying to hold the box and open the door at the same time proved to be a horrible idea, because Marinette didn't notice the person on the other side of the door until she crashed into him. The box of chalk went flying as Marinette struggled to catch her balance.
Then she heard an all too familiar voice say. "Whoopsie Daisy." Immediately Marinette's head snapped towards the source of the voice.
Marinette's breath caught as she saw the man she had bumped into. Startled blue eyes met wide green ones as Marinette gasped. "Cha- Chat Noir?"
Playing a game
Felix/Bridgette, Felix/Ladybug, Chat Noir/Bridgette, PV-Ladynoir
Part 1
“Let me go!”
It was an absurd situation, but Felix was trying to set himself free from Ladybug’s grasp.
Why in the world would he try to escape the woman he loved?
Well, here comes another part of the absurd: Felix was trying to shake Ladybug off to get to the girl that annoyed him to death.
Bridgitte.
Yes, the same Bridgette that was everywhere he was going. The same Bridgette he was usually avoiding.
But now she was in danger. And Felix was a superhero. Whether he wanted it or not. And a superhero doesn’t choose if to save a person or not. Even if the person was annoying.
At least that was how Felix explained to himself his will to save her. Nothing to do with the fact, that Bridgette was so constant in his life, that he might be not imagined a day without her presence anymore.
He was in love with Ladybug. And not with Bridgette. Not at all. If only Ladybug would let him go to save Bridgette just this one time...
It all started with the akuma alert of course. And this time Felix didn’t have time to transform.
The moment everyone began to ran around yelling and trying to leave the building, Felix ran towards the empty classroom instead to turn into Chat Noir.
But before he could reach the door, he saw Bridgette entering the same class. And the next moment the wall behind her was hit with some sort of blast and fell. And as long as Felix couldn’t see the girl inside the class through the fallen wall, she obviously was covered with debris.
Felix ran there and tried to remove the blocks of the wall away to reach Bridgette, but Ladybug, who had just entered through the hallway window, grabbed his hand.
“You have to leave the school immediately!” She demanded.
Any other time Felix would follow this woman to the Moon and back without thinking twice. But not today.
“No.” He said firmly, trying to free his hand. “She is behind those blocks. She is hurt!”
“Who?” Ladybug raised her eyebrows in surprise.
“Bridgette!” Felix was desperately trying to remove her hand. “I saw her entering the class before the wall fell. The class is empty, so she must be under those debris!”
“I’m sure she’s safe.” Ladybug said, not letting him go. “And you have to leave the building. Now!” She commanded.
“No!” Felix protested. “She isn’t crazy to jump from the window.” He reasoned. “Well, not that crazy... So she is hurt! I’m not leaving!”
Ladybug pulled him away from the broken wall.
“My powers will hill her anyway!” She insisted. “I can’t be destructed with one person while the akuma is destroying the city.”
“Then leave me, I’ll save her myself!” Felix yelled.
“I’m talking about you.” Ladybug explained. “I have to bring you to safety. Come on!”
“Let me go!” Felix exclaimed. And we’re back to where we started. “I’m not gonna leave her!”
“I don’t have time for this.” Ladybug said more to herself, and grabbed Felix tight.
The next moment she was already swinging through the window, carrying him on her shoulder.
“There.” Ladybug said, placing Felix on his feet on a random roof few streets away from school. “Stay safe and away from the akuma.”
“Why did you?!.” Felix started, but she already zipped away towards the school.
To say Felix was mad was saying nothing.
*
Chat Noir saw her fighting the akuma on the school roof.
It felt like it had to be the hardest choice in his life, but it didn’t take even a second. And instead of jumping into the fight to protect his lady, Chat Noir slipped through the window towards the fallen wall.
He wasn’t sure how to explain it to himself. Because even he was pissed with Ladybug for not helping him to save Bridgette, and even bringing him away, he still loved her. And her safety was his priority.
Why then he was running to get another girl from under the debris?
Maybe because Ladybug had superpowers and could stand for few minutes without him, but Bridgette didn’t have them, and he had to save her first?
And maybe Ladybug was right and her powers would reverse everything, but Felix couldn’t fight thinking that Bridgette was hurt and laying there helpless.
He couldn’t risk her safety...
She was always next to him. Against his will, but she was.
Remembering his birthday, when no one, even his own father, did. Bringing him sweets all the time (how did she figured his favorites was a mystery for Felix). Saying her cheerful hellos to him every morning and goodbyes every evening...
Was it egoistical? Was he trying to save her only to make sure there was someone in his life, who actually treasured his existence, which was making her own existence treasure for him as well?
But he loved Ladybug! Who was now fighting along, while he was removing block after the block, and...
And nothing. Bridgette wasn’t there.
Chat Noir ran through the class checking behind the desks. Could it be possible she hid herself in here, and ran away while Ladybug brought Felix away?
He didn’t know. But what he did know, that there was a fight to attend. And Chat Noir was already very, very late.
*
Felix was sitting in his class, deeper in thought then he usually was.
The fight was over. Everything was restored. Bridgette was safe.
And now Felix was left one on one with his thoughts.
Everything ended up fine, but the choices were made and now he had to face his internal consequences.
Why would he do what he did during the akuma alert?! — Felix wondered.
Usually he was calm and rational while being his civilian self. He was trained to maintain prestige and protect honor of Agreste name.
Only becoming Chat Noir he let himself be wild and emotional, freeing the beast.
But today, when he saw that wall falling...
And Ladybug! Why was she only saving him? Why did she say she couldn’t be distracted with only his safety if Bridgette could be hurt as well? Why wouldn’t she help Bridgette?!
Normally Ladybug always tried to save every civilian among the way, but this time was an exception. Maybe she really was sure Bridgette was safe, or she was counting on her ability to restore her.
But Felix still had a sediment, as if the bus ran over his favorite toy and his mother refused to come back to pick it up.
But Bridgette was not his ‘favorite toy’. Vice versa. Felix avoided her in every possible way, because she was chasing him all the time. Right? Or did it become some sort of their personal game? A form of their special interaction?
Like a game of hide and seek, when he chose the most secluded places in the library or school square to read, and Bridgette found him even there to invite him to the cinema once again and once again be rejected.
At first her eyes were sad when he said ‘no’. And at some point Felix even felt sorry for those shiny eyes to fade with sadness. But with her new attempts, when it almost became like a part of his daily routine, Felix saw her eyes even lit up with new passion and perseverance after his refusal.
There was so much life in those eyes! And Felix didn’t even admit it to himself, but he found them deep and beautiful. They even reminded him Ladybug’s eyes... But this was a dangerous way if thinking, as his beloved one was unique, and Felix didn’t want to compare her to anyone.
And what was this game they were playing with Bridgette anyway? And why was it so important for him to save her? More important than protecting Ladybug?!
Or was it just a tribute to the moment?
Felix suppressed the desire to turn around and check if Bridgette was really safe. He won’t become obsessed with her safety after seeing her in danger just once!
Why in the world?!
No reasons at all.
us against the world (like it’s always been)
Happy @ladynoirjuly! This was written for yesterday’s prompt, “last heroes”. This is also contributing to the @miraculousfanworks Fic Wars, where the current prompt is anything lovesquare!
Canon divergence from S5. Gabriel defeat.
Read on AO3
Ladybug looks around. The battlefield is littered with the carnage of those who have collapsed — those who are too exhausted to carry on.
But there’s one person at her side, that will always be at her side. She looks over at Chat Noir, panting and tired, but still standing.
The battle’s not over yet. Monarch is still out there, even though the akuma is defeated.
“Are you ready?” she asks.
“I need a moment,” Chat Noir answers, mid-gasping breath. “Just a moment, milady.”
This battle felt like a final stand. Something so big that Ladybug needed to bring out as many forces as she could muster — which isn’t many, actually, but it’s what she can do. It was a clash of forces like Paris had never seen before — and had rained down more destruction than any other battle.
Ladybug looks down at the Lucky Charm in her hands. “Miraculous Ladybug!” she yells, as the city cleans up.
It’s not over yet — but she’ll need more luck if they’re going to defeat Monarch.
He stumbles towards her and leans on her shoulder. “How are you standing?”
“If I fall…” She looks out in the distance. “You’re in no state to catch me.”
“I’ll still try,” he says. “I always will.”
“Thanks, but…” She sighs. “Let’s go. If we’re going to do it…”
“It has to be now.” He straightens up. “Let’s go.”
They move as one, flying through the air like they have a million times before.
“Monarch!” Ladybug declares, delivering a flying kick to his face. “Your reign of terror is over!”
Monarch staggers backwards as she lands with a tuck roll, standing up with raised fists.
“It’s just the three of us now, Monarch,” Chat Noir declares with a smirk, right beside her. When did he get there?
“You’re alone,” Ladybug says, “and that will be your downfall.”
“Oh, but I’m not alone, Ladybug,” Monarch says. A flock of butterflies surrounds him, lifting him in the air in what’s probably meant to be a power play. “Far from it, as a matter of fact. I have more allies than you ever will.”
“Where do those come from?” Chat murmurs.
“Don’t know, don’t care,” Ladybug mutters back. “All I know is that there’s no way he can use all of them at once. He has a limit.”
“What’s the plan?” he asks.
“Not sure yet,” she answers. “We just…keep fighting. Until we can’t anymore.”
Until we can’t anymore. That implies that at the end of the day, they’re destined to lose.
Win the battle, lose the war. She’s had enough.
“Or he goes down,” she continues with a growl.
He nods firmly.
She swipes with her yo-yo to dispel the cloud of butterflies. Butterflies don’t deserve this — they deserve better than a man who called himself a moth for much of his reign because it ‘sounded better’.
“You’re a coward,” Chat Noir declares. “You hide behind your butterflies. Behind the people you’ve coerced into being allies. Behind the sentimonsters. You hide behind them, and you escape consequence. But not this time.”
“You can’t hide anymore,” Ladybug says. “This time, the world will see you for what you really are. You’re a coward, and one that’s never known when to >give up.”
“Why should I give up when I have everything?” Monarch asks. It’s a shame that Ladybug can’t see the look on his face — she would punch it right off.
“You don’t, though,” Chat Noir says. “You don’t have the one thing you really want. That’s why you need the Wish.”
Monarch flinches. Looks like Chat hit the mark.
“You don’t get to speak of her,” Monarch threatens in a quiet voice.
“Of…her?” Ladybug asks cautiously. “I thought you were mostly interested in taking over the world.”
Monarch looks around. It is in this moment of hesitation that Chat moves, bonking Monarch over the head. It’s enough to disorient him while Chat snatches the Peacock Miraculous. “Ladybug, catch!”
She steps back (once, twice), the pin landing perfectly in her hand. Into the yo-yo.
The rest of the butterflies that hadn’t already flown away disperse, leaving just Monarch, collapsed on the ground.
He spits on Chat’s boots. Chat steps away. “Gross,” he mutters. Ladybug snorts at that.
“Give up now,” she declares. “It’s the best thing you can do.”
“Never,” he declares proudly, standing up.
Ladybug rolls her eyes at Chat Noir. He smiles at her — everything will be okay. Maybe. Because it’s them, and it’s the people they are. Monarch isn’t important. What’s important is how they’re going to get through this — and finally win this war of attrition.
When the last of the rings come off, when Monarch is truly alone, he is just a man.
A powerful man, admittedly, but a man nonetheless. Gabriel Agreste.
Ladybug hesitates for just a moment. Adrien. What will happen then?
Chat Noir pauses too.
“What are you two doing?” Gabriel Agreste asks, hunched over in shame. He still towers over both of them.
Ladybug ties him up with her yo-yo. “Come on.”
She stops her inaction, because the less she acts…
Adrien deserves better than Gabriel anyways.
“Are you okay?” she asks Chat once he’s in police custody.
“I never thought we’d see the day,” he says. “I never thought it’d come to this. I…”
“I don’t know what I expected to see when the final Miraculous came off to reveal his face,” she confesses.
“I…” He leans into her for a hug. “I didn’t know.”
“You couldn’t have,” she responds. “I used to be a fan, you know.”
“He’s…he’s related to me,” he whispers.
“It’s okay, kitty.” She lets it escape her mouth; all her love, all her affection. “It’s going to be okay.”
“If you say so,” he murmurs back, mouth pressed into her shoulder. “I trust you.”
It warms her heart — more than if he said ‘I love you.’
Trust is more important right now, after all.
“I have some things to tell you,” she says. “A lot, actually.”
From Ashes to Embers
Chapter 15 - And The Room Falls Silent
Just as I glanced at my phone to check the time, a vibrant pink glow enveloped the screen, revealing the presence of Lady Wifi. She materialized before me, her digital form flickering with an air of both vengeance and malice.
"I'm here for you, Marinette. I'm your friend," Lady Wifi declared, her voice dripping with false sincerity. "You will tell us all your secrets, and you will feel so much better!"
A surge of adrenaline coursed through my veins as I realized the gravity of the situation. Without hesitation, I sprinted up the stairs, my heart pounding in my chest, desperate to escape her clutches. Lady Wifi's persistent attempts to pause me only fueled my determination.
I burst out onto my balcony, the cool afternoon air hitting my face as I scanned the surroundings for an escape route. Lady Wifi, searching for me, looked around frantically, her gaze darting from one corner to another. But this time, I had a plan.
As Lady Wifi's eyes fell upon the illusion of me created by Trixx, confusion washed over her. "How did she...?" she muttered, her voice laced with bewilderment. The clever illusion led her to believe that I was running towards Collège Françoise Dupont, throwing her off my trail.
Under Lady Wifi's lead, the Gang of Secrets followed the illusion, their footsteps echoing through the silent streets. Lady Wifi's desperate call rang out, her words a mix of frustration and feigned friendship. "Don't run away, Marinette! We're friends, aren't we?" she shouted, the echoes fading into the distance.
Back in the safety of my room, I turned to Trixx with gratitude shining in my eyes. "Thank you, Trixx," I whispered. With unwavering determination, I called upon my transformation, ready to face the challenges that lay ahead.
"Wait Trixx," My voice carried a note of concern, "when a kwami uses its power without a holder to channel its energy, doesn't it often set off some kind of catastrophe?" I asked, worry etched on my face.
"You're right, Ladybug. My power, however, creates illusions," Trixx explained, "Illusions have a way of playing tricks on the mind, so the side effects will hopefully remain confined to their imaginations," Trixx added, a hint of optimism tugging at his voice. He glanced back at Wayzz and Barkk, who seemed slightly annoyed by his recent display of power.
Rolling my eyes, I made my way to the balcony, my determination unwavering even in the face of uncertainty. The scene before me unfolded with an air of surrealism as the Eiffel Tower began to dance, its movements strangely distorted due to the Mirage.
"Oh, Trixx," I said as I sighed, a mix of exasperation and affection lacing my voice. With a flick of my wrist, I unleashed my yo-yo, using its power to transport me to the heart of the unfolding spectacle.
As I surveyed the cityscape from the rooftops, my focus was suddenly interrupted by Chat Noir's voice in my ear. "Hey there, m'lady," he greeted, his tone laced with playful banter. "Somebody is having a supervillain party and didn't invite us."
nodded, my focus shifting to the imminent danger we faced. "They're looking for Marinette Dupain-Cheng," I explained, my tone tinged with both concern and confusion. "One of their own classmates."
Chat Noir's voice held a hint of incredulity as he echoed my thoughts. "Haven't we already saved her a bunch of times? Funny you'd think everybody would like her."
A pang of sadness tugged at my heart as I thought about the recent events that had caused Marinette to become estranged from her friends. The weight of the situation settled upon my shoulders, reminding me of the complexities of human relationships.
Pushing aside my thoughts, I focused on the task at hand. "Well, apparently, she's managed to alienate all her friends at once," I said, my voice filled with determination. I could not let personal emotions hinder my duty to protect the city.
Chat Noir's reassuring presence provided a much-needed anchor amidst the chaos. Sensing my momentary lapse, he gently prodded, "You still there?"
Shaking off my thoughts, I refocused on the task at hand. "Just thinking," I responded, determination seeping back into my voice. "With five villains, it's not gonna be easy finding the object that has the akuma."
Chat Noir, his unwavering faith in my abilities shining through, chimed in with a hopeful tone. "I bet you already have an idea, right?"
A determined smile graced my lips as I formulated a plan in my mind. "I'm going to isolate one of the villains from the others," I explained, my voice filled with conviction. "I'll convince her to reveal the location of the akuma. Meanwhile, you track down Lady Wifi. She seems to be the one in charge of the others."
Cat Noir's support echoed in his response. "Good luck, M'lady," he said, his unwavering faith in me bolstering my spirits.
I smiled, grateful for his unwavering support. "Thanks, you too," I replied, my voice filled with gratitude. Together, we were a formidable team, ready to face any challenge that came our way.
With a graceful leap, I descended from the rooftops, the wind caressing my face as my yo-yo spun effortlessly through the air. The city streets blurred beneath me as I guided myself toward Timebreaker, skillfully luring her away from the clutches of the other four villains.
As I swiftly retrieved her pocketwatch and shattered it, a surge of disappointment washed over me. There was nothing within it, no trace of the akuma we sought. Timebreaker couldn't help but taunt me, relishing in her temporary victory. "Sucks to suck, Ladybug. I don't have the Akuma," she teased, a smug grin playing on her lips.
Maintaining my composure, I shrugged off her mocking words, responding with calm confidence. "No biggie," I replied, my voice steady. "I just wanted to talk to you anyway."
Timebreaker scoffed, turning her head away in defiance. "Like I have anything to say to you," she retorted, her voice dripping with disdain.
Undeterred, I pressed on, determined to bridge the divide between us. "Listen, Alix," I began, my voice filled with empathy and understanding. "From what I understand, you've been facing some challenges with your friend, Marinette. I may not know the details of what transpired between the two of you, but I want to share something about a friend of mine."
A flicker of curiosity danced in Timebreaker's eyes as she reluctantly turned her gaze back to me. I seized the opportunity to paint a vivid picture of the bond I shared with my own loyal companion. "She is the epitome of loyalty, headstrong, and dependable," I explained, passion infusing my words. "We may keep secrets from each other at times, but the trust we have in one another is unwavering. I know she will always have my back, just as I will always strive to do the right thing for her."
I locked eyes with Alix, my belief in her potential shining through. "And I trust you, Alix. I believe that you have the strength to reject the power Shadow Moth has bestowed upon you," I declared, my voice filled with conviction.
As my heartfelt words reached Timebreaker's ears, a visible struggle began to unfold within her. The grip of Shadow Moth's control weakened, a flicker of resistance shimmering in her eyes. A distinctive purple butterfly outline materialized on her face, a symbol of the menacing influence that sought to keep her enslaved.
"Don't listen to her, Timebreaker!" a distorted voice echoed in Alix's ears. "If you resist, you'll never uncover your friend's secret. Or Ladybug's, for that matter!"
My voice grew stronger, filled with determination as I implored Alix to trust in herself. "I trust you, Alix," I affirmed, my words carrying a weight of importance. "I need you. You're the only one who can help me."
Timebreaker's struggle intensified, her body wracked with spasms as her inner battle reached its climax. With a resounding scream, swirling clouds of black and purple engulfed her, transforming her back into Alix. I acted swiftly, catching her fragile form in my arms as she teetered on the brink of fainting.
Gently cradling Alix, I whispered words of reassurance, my voice a soothing balm against the residual effects of Shadow Moth's control. I couldn't contain my admiration and excitement. "Wow. No one has ever done that before... you're amazing, Alix," I exclaimed, a genuine smile lighting up my face.
Alix returned the compliment, her voice filled with gratitude and sincerity. "It's because you're an amazing friend, Ladybug. I see that now"
We raised our fists in unison, our hands meeting in the air. Smiling down at Alix I knew I made the right choice in allies, If she was going to continue to be by my side in the future I need her now as well.
But our moment of triumph was abruptly interrupted by the urgent ringing of my phone. With a sense of urgency, I retrieved my phone and glanced at the screen, my heart racing with concern.
"Which object holds the akuma?" I asked Alix, my mind already racing to formulate a plan.
Alix furrowed her brow, her eyes reflecting deep thought. "It's in a bracelet," she responded, her tone filled with concern. "Alya must have it, but you and Chat Noir won't be able to take on four villains at once."
A mischievous grin tugged at the corners of my lips as an idea formed in my mind. I reached for my yo-yo, spinning it open to reveal the Fox Miraculous nestled inside. "I think this calls for the master of Illusion," I declared, my confidence shining through.
Alix's eyes widened with awe as she took in the sight of the Fox Miraculous. "Woah! That's so awesome," she exclaimed, her excitement palpable.
I chuckled, a playful sparkle in my eyes. "I have loads of tricks up my sleeve, being the Guardian and all," I shared cryptically, knowing that I couldn't reveal too much.
Alix nodded emphatically, a newfound sense of responsibility shining in her eyes. "You can trust me, Ladybug. Your secret is safe with me."
I put the silver chain in her hands "Put it on, Alix, and when you're ready, say 'Trixx, let's pounce!'" I instructed, my voice filled with encouragement. "With your power of Mirage, you'll create illusions to aid us in our battle."
Alix followed my guidance, slipping on the Fox Miraculous. In a dazzling display of light, Trixx, the wise and mischievous kwami, materialized before her.
Filled with determination and a renewed sense of purpose, Alix took a deep breath. "Trixx, let's pounce!" she exclaimed, her voice brimming with confidence.
My eyes widened in astonishment as Alix underwent her transformation. Pink fox ears sprouted from the top of her head, accompanied by a fluffy pink tail swaying behind her. She wore a sleek black bodysuit, accentuated by vibrant pink and silver jean shorts that hugged her form perfectly.
But it was the rest of her outfit that truly caught my attention. A stylish pink and white bomber jacket adorned her shoulders, adding a touch of flair to her ensemble. Her footwear consisted of thigh-high black platform heels, exuding confidence and power with every step she took.
To complete her striking appearance, Alix wore a white fox mask over her face, adding an air of mystery and intrigue. The mask accentuated her determined gaze, as though she was ready to take on any challenge that came her way.
Alix beamed with pride, her voice filled with wonder. "This is incredible!" she exclaimed, spinning around to fully appreciate her new form.
I couldn't help but share in her excitement, a genuine smile gracing my lips. "You look absolutely amazing, Alix," I complimented, my voice filled with admiration. Curiosity piqued, I couldn't resist asking, "What should I call you now?" My eyes met hers, eager to learn the name she had chosen for her heroic alter ego.
A mischievous grin spread across Alix's face as she responded confidently, "Vixen, of course." The name perfectly captured the essence of her newfound powers and the grace with which she carried herself.
I nodded approvingly, acknowledging her choice. "Vixen suits you perfectly," I agreed, my voice laced with enthusiasm.
As the sun began to set over the picturesque Canal Saint-Martin, its golden rays cast a warm glow on the surrounding buildings and the tranquil water below. Cat Noir found himself in a perilous situation, pinned to the ground by the formidable Lady Wifi. With Vixen by my side, I quickly formulated a plan of action.
Lady Wifi's voice dripped with confidence as she taunted Cat Noir, her grip tightening on him. "No Cataclysm to save you this time," she sneered, relishing in her perceived victory.
My mind raced, searching for a way out of this dire predicament. Summoning my Lucky Charm, a pool lifesaver appeared before me, offering a glimmer of hope. My eyes quickly scanned the area, desperately seeking a solution. "Okay, I've got a plan," I declared, my voice filled with determination.
Interrupting our conversation, Cat Noir couldn't resist adding his clever remark. "At the very moment you touch it, I'll summon my power, and then who knows what's gonna happen to you," he warned, mischief dancing in his eyes.
Princess Fragrance, always reveling in her own schemes, interjected with a sinister proposition. "Why bother taking it when I can make you my slave and order you to give it to me?" she suggested, a wicked smile playing on her lips.
Calculating the best course of action, I issued a command. "Give them what they want, now!" I urged urgency lacing my voice.
In the midst of the chaos, Vixen, with her incredible ability to create illusions, sprang into action. "Mirage!" she exclaimed, her voice resonating with power.
Suddenly, a lifelike illusion of my alter ego, Marinette, appeared before the gang. The sight of our friend seemingly running away ignited a chase as the Gang of Secrets, fueled by their desire to uncover the truth, began pursuing the illusion.
Meanwhile, in his lair, the villainous Shadow Moth seethed with anger. "No! Take his Miraculous first! Come back!" he shouted, his frustration palpable.
"Thank you, M'ladies. I was a whisker away from cat-astrophe," he quipped, relief evident in his voice.
My unwavering loyalty shone through as I reassured him. "That's what friends are for, kitty cat. Okay, you two get to the pool now," I instructed, determination coloring my voice.
"What about you?" he asked, a hint of worry in his voice.
My resolve remained unyielding. "I'll keep our guests busy. Vixen will explain the rest of the plan," I reassured him, my voice filled with confidence.
I looked out of the corner of my eye where the illusion of Marinette continued to elude Lady Wifi. The tension in the air was thick as Lady Wifi closed in on her prey.
"It's time to give up your secret, Marinette!" Lady Wifi taunted, her voice dripping with malicious intent.
Outside the swimming pool, Princess Fragrance and the other akumatized villains reveled in their temporary victory. Their demands grew more audacious as they sought to control my every move.
In a dramatic turn of events, Vixen once again utilized her illusion powers, causing the Marinette illusion to vanish into thin air. Lady Wifi, left confused and disoriented, found herself suddenly submerged in the pool, a captive of her own misjudgment. Cat Noir, who had been waiting in the pool, used the pool lifesaver to trap Lady Wifi, effectively neutralizing her threat.
With Lady Wifi de-transformed, my attention shifted to the ongoing battle outside the swimming pool. Princess Fragrance, Horrificator, and Reflekta were still in relentless pursuit, their intentions clear.
As the battle against the Akuma-infected villains came to a close, I found myself standing outside the glistening swimming pool, catching my breath. Princess Fragrance, Horrificator, and Reflekta de-transformed, revealing their true identities. In my hands, I gently caught Rose, the innocent victim of their chaos.
"Thank you, Ladybug," Rose expressed her gratitude, her voice filled with relief and admiration.
I couldn't help but smile, my heart swelling with pride. "You're welcome, Rose. Protecting the people of Paris is what I do."
My attention shifted to the fluttering akuma, a small dark butterfly that symbolized the source of the villains' powers. With determination in my eyes, I prepared to capture and purify it, putting an end to its evil doings once and for all.
"No more evil doing for you, little akuma," I declared, my voice brimming with unwavering resolve. Swiftly, I extended my yo-yo, skillfully capturing the akuma in its grip. "Time to de-evilize!" In a dazzling burst of light, the akuma was purified, its negative energy dispersing into the air.
"Gotcha! Bye-bye, little butterfly!" I exclaimed, tossing the lifesaver-like object into the air. The Miraculous Ladybug power was activated, its magic spreading throughout the city. The damage caused by the villains, including the peculiar movement of the Eiffel Tower, began to reverse, piece by piece.
A sense of relief washed over me as the chaos subsided, replaced by a newfound tranquility. I turned to Vixen, my trusted companion, who stood by my side, their support unwavering.
"Pound it?" Vixen suggested a mischievous glint in her eyes.
A smile graced my lips as I mirrored their playful gesture. "Pound it," I replied, our hands coming together in a celebratory high-five. In that moment, Vixen, Cat Noir, and I shared a bond of victory and camaraderie, understanding the importance of our unity.
With the battle behind us, we retreated to a quiet alleyway, seeking a moment of respite. Vixen, weary from her first battle, de-transformed, returning to their human form. She exchanged a heartfelt high-five with their kwami, Trixx, who retreated into their miraculous.
Alix, still catching her breath, turned to me, gratitude shining in her eyes. "Thank you, Ladybug," she expressed sincerely, her voice filled with appreciation.
I met her gaze, my own eyes softening. "You know, without you and Chat Noir, I wouldn't have made it through today," I confided, my voice tinged with sincerity. "I'm truly lucky to have friends like you. So, thank you."
Alix and I embraced, our connection strengthened by the battles we faced together. In that alleyway, surrounded by the remnants of our recent triumph, I found solace in the knowledge that I had loyal friends who stood by my side. Together, we would face the challenges that awaited us, united in our determination to protect the city and preserve the balance of the Miraculous.
As I reluctantly released Alix from our embrace, I gave her a knowing smile. "Stay safe, Alix," I said, my voice filled with warmth and affection.
