Simon had texted you that he had gotten home from Mexico about midnight. When you finished your night at the café you were careful to enter the flat quietly. You might still wake him with how jumpy he could be after jobs. Wincing as you lock the front door you remove your shoes as softly as you can, setting them on the floor instead of letting them flop like you normally would. Turning on the flashlight of your phone you dim it as much as you can and still cover it with your fingers to not disturb anyone that might have slid home with him.

More and more often the guys would come home with Simon. You were about to suggest everyone going in on a house rental together because at least then you were always guaranteed to have somewhere to lay down after work. Glancing into the living room you see a lump of a body on the couch. Stepping lightly into the room you think it’s John. A raucous snore rips through the room. Yep. That’s John.

Letting a pip of light peak through your fingers you see he has no blanket on. Once that problem is resolved you head toward your room. The door is cracked. Must be more than John who came home with Simon then.

Pushing the door open you see two bodies sprawled across your bed. Letting a tad more light shine from your phone you squint and see Kyle and Gary almost fighting for space on your bed. You let the smile that forces its way to your lips stay. Leaving the men to their sleeping battle you grab a set of pajamas and head into the hall bathroom.

Leaving the lights off, your phone light reflects off the bowl of the sink as you change. Dropping your clothes into your basket in the bathroom you move to knock on Simon’s door. Tapping lightly you wait. He would wake.

Less than twenty seconds later the door pops open, and Simon blinks in the dim light.

“The couch and my bed are both taken, can I sleep with you tonight?”

“Johnny is here, but there is room.”

Rubbing your eyes you follow Simon and turn off your flashlight. Simon puts a hand on your elbow, leading you into the bed before him. Pulling up the blankets you slide in until you run into Johnny, then back up slightly.

The touch must have woken him. Johnny reaches out and pulls you close.

“Ah, bonnie, no Simon.”

He is not wearing a shirt. You had never seen Johnny shirtless, but he felt warm and lightly covered with hair.

Simon climbs in behind you, settling an arm across both of you. Something about that tickled something in your brain but sleep already lulled you with her melodies.

When you woke it was because you were too warm.

Tucked tight to Simon’s chest you watch his hand drift across Johnny’s still-sleeping face.

“When did that happen?” You whisper, careful not to wake your sleeping friend. 

“This last mission. Mexico was…hard.”

“I’m happy for you.”

You really are, even if part of you yearns for every one of these crazy men to be yours always. That would be entirely too selfish. You were lucky to have them as you did, sharing kisses for luck and driving business to your shop. Selfish wasn’t a thing you could ever allow yourself to be. You didn’t dare ask for anything from them.

You had learned in your early twenties that you were asexual, much to the frustration of every partner you had. After a while you had stopped looking for any kind of romantic love, it was too twined up in sex for so many people that staying single was easier.

Simon pressed a kiss to the top of your head.

“Thanks. When are you going to end up happy?”

The question stabbed you between the ribs.

“Who says I’m not?”

“You don’t have a partner, don’t most people want that?”

“Most people aren’t okay that I only want sex when I’m ovulating so, no I guess I don’t want that,” your voice rose a bit.

Johnny’s eyes slid open, taking in you tucked into Simon’s arms. The softest smile you had ever seen on the man warmed your heart to the point of pain.

“Morning lass, how did you end up here?”

His voice, morning-deep, taking some extra work to decipher.

“Kyle and Gary were sleep fighting in my bed. Simon at least has a king-sized mattress.”

“What time did you get in?” He blinked at you as if fighting waking.

“Three.”

He reached out and pulled you across the bed; Simon’s hands drifted with you.

“Simon is an earlier riser, stay here and sleep with me.”

Settling against Johnny was different than with Simon. Johnny didn’t seem to mind the full body contact, twining of limbs, or manhandling you until you sat just right in his arms. Snug against him, in the darkness of the blinds, you slid back to sleep, but not before feeling the bed dip as Simon placed a kiss against your temple and Johnny’s lips. He left the room quiet as a mouse.

Enigma, or Elisa. Riddler’s young helper. [My Universe, V.2, Rough design]

Summary) Enigma is a teenager with an inspiration to be as just as ‘cool’ as the Riddler. She loves that his success as a rogue strives from his intelligence, and wants to be recognized by Gotham, just like him. She, after much bugging and begging, gets hired by Edward, and takes her new job as an opportunity to make her own name.

Personality) Enigma is energetic. Very optimistic around people she likes, very demeaning to those she doesn’t. Her symbol, (¿) is her attempt at making her own version of Riddler’s whole motif. She doesn’t ask riddles like Edward does, but loves to ask facts and info-dumps just as much. The ¿ is meant to reference the way that spanish grammar hints at a question. (she is hispanic) She often leaves her own puzzles around town, using graffiti to ask facts that hint to Riddler’s next scheme.

Relations) Riddler almost rejects Elisa, as he isn’t fond of kids. But he figures that Elisa could use some influence, as she has a few similar traits to Edward that he admires, and Riddler wouldn’t mind leaving an heir to his schemes whenever he inevitably quits crime. Elisa is also in great relations with Query and Echo. I plan for her to have common run-ins with one of the Robins, i’m not sure which one yet.

Reason for Deviation) I did, essentially, zero research into the original Enigma. If you are a fan of her, and hate this version, it makes sense. I don’t see my Crowverse Riddler as a guy who likes kids. He also is an Asexual man who’s probably never fallen in love, so the cause for a kid doesn’t fit in. This is why this version of Enigma is in no way related to Edward, and instead has two decent parents. I also don’t think he is fond of the idea for a ‘sidekick’ who is a carbon copy of himself. So, Enigma follows a slightly different motif from riddles and takes an interest in fun facts instead. Riddler wouldn’t want a sidekick who dresses in all latex, he prefers style, so Enigma covers herself up typically with jackets and pants, but she herself admits to wearing a suit underneath.

This takes place in (placeholder name) Crowverse V.2. Elisa takes on the name as Enigma, when Riddler is in his mid to late 30s. Crowverse V.1 is when Riddler is age 25-30 and V.2 is Riddler at age 33-40

1. Jungkook - I just know this boy is fucking seven days a week. He’s too goddamn fine and too much of a tease; he knows his effect on people and I fully believe he uses it to his advantage. Didn’t one of the members say he has mattresses all over his house during a live? Do they expect us to believe he actually uses those for sleeping? Although I do think he’s still a romantic at heart and would be loyal to the one he loves at the end of the day, he really does enjoy indulging in spontaneous sex and experimentation, and has probably fallen victim to the wide availability of women that fame has presented him with.

2. SUGA - Yoongi has undergone the most dramatic change out of the members, and I see him as having been with a lot of women/men/other folk during his earlier years, both for casual sex and regular dating. He’s so nonchalant that if someone came onto him I don’t think he would turn anything down. Nowadays though, he seems to value authentic connections a lot more and probably only dates someone if he is truly serious about them.

3. Jimin - Sweet Jimin knows how to work his magic flirty charms on just about anyone. Even if he hasn’t had a lot of meaningful relationships, per se, he might’ve had plentiful experiences hooking up with people. Not necessarily sex, but makeout sessions, short flings, situationships etc. There may also have been a semi-serious relationship or two mixed in there, too.

4. RM - Namjoon is a complex one. He strikes me as a little girl crazy and desperate for love, but at the same time he holds very high standards for his partner and is quite selective. I see him engaging in casual sex maybe once or twice just to try it out or to release some steam, but ultimately not enjoying it. I also predict he had one or two long term serious girlfriends rather than many casual ones. The lesser likely scenario is that he has deceived all of us and is actually a huge fuckboy.

5. V - While he’s extremely experimental in the bedroom when in a relationship, he doesn’t strike me as the type to hook up with random women or date casually. On the contrary, he is an all or nothing kind of guy when it comes to romance and doesn’t fall for people easily. He’s loyal and a hopeless romantic. He might have an ex that he views as “the one that got away” that prevents him from dating other people.

6. j-hope - Truthfully, I see j-hope as borderline asexual. I don’t think I’ve ever seen him show romantic or physical interest in anyone. If he does date, however, it would be casual and low key, but committed. He’s not particularly serious about relationships, but not interested in casual sex or quick flings either. Maybe romance just isn’t a priority in his life and he’s focused on other things.

7. Jin - I put Jin at the bottom of the list because he is such a massive introvert that he probably doesn’t even go out enough to meet women. I have no doubt he would easily attract many people with his unreasonably handsome face and comedic sense of humor, but even so, he doesn’t seem particularly interested in dating anyways. If any of the members were to be with one person for their entire life, it would be Jin.

BBC Merlin

Arthur Pendragon is, in my head, demiromantic and bisexual... It sort of depends on the circumstances/episode. Arthur needs a very long time to really feel connections with people and only starts to consider love after he really gets to know them, hence his constant search for true love in the show. With Merlin I'm not entirely sure if he was attracted to him instantly, strangely enough feeling a connection from the moment they met, or if it takes him till the end of the series when Merlin confesses his magic and finally shows his true self to realise the depth of his feelings.

Merlin is, well... Bi Bi Bi. A disaster bi in fact. With a preference for sweaty men in metal boxes, he's not very peculiar. However, Merlin is a one person hyperfixation kind of guy. Most people are convinced that Merlin's gay.

Gwen: I feel like most people in BBC Merlin are bi and Gwen is no exception. Like Merlin, she prefers the hero type in metal uniforms. But she also had a thing for Morgana in the beginning.

Morgana: lesbian. I have never seen a woman so disinterested in men, I'm not surprised that they casted Katie McGrath in supergirl as supergirls love interest. I might settle for homoromantic and asexual. But definitly in love with Gwen in the very beginning.

Sir Leon, my beloved, the immortal, the one and only, the eternal suffering aro/ace. I don't have to explain this one. The only counter moment is the Lamia episode where Leon suddenly develops interest in women out of nowhere. My personal take is that anyone could be fallen under a Lamia's spell, this one just had a taste for men (and male presenting).

Sir Elian: once upon a time I clocked them as nonbinary and sadly that's as far as I thought into this character. Pretty sure he's aromantic. He/they pronouns. I dunno, I don't think Elian would conform to anything if given a choice. Aromantic too, I think. Like Leon, there is no interest there, but he does play around with Percival and Gwaine quite often, so I'd take that as allosexual.

I am excluding Gwaine because I think canon Gwaine is written as a straight oblivious fuckboy. Albeit a kind one XD fanon Gwaine is often poly/ pan... Or into apples. Lmao XD and I'm not sure about Percival because the man has a dead wife and kids.

Voltron

Keith: with his lack of interest in women, he can only be gay. That man looks at no one quite the same as he looks at Lance. what the hell was the whole bonding thing if not a hint for post canon klance? Sorry, not sorry XD rivals to best friends to lovers.

Lance: *bi bo bi* bisexual lighting Lance. Doesn't matter if you prefer klance or shallura, this man is a walking bi flag. I don't know what you mean by proof, just look at this wiggly boy with the fingerguns. He can't even sit straight! Can't do math either. He's perfect!

Shiro: probably the only character in my entire history of shipping that I would unqueer without feeling bad about it. I know he's gay, I just don't really see it in the writing. Of course there aren't always clear signs that someone is gay which is why this is good rep actually (+he's married), but you asked me for proof in the show and all I see is that this man is a dad. That's his gender and his orientation and that's all I really need to know.

Pidge: aro/ace because I love my aroaces and this child loves robots and robots only. Also nonbinary/genderqueer. Pronouns: fuck/off XD

What are their love languages?

I’ve answered this one over here for how he is expresses himself to others through love languages, for anyone who wants to read it.

However, just so I don’t feel like I’m cheating you out of any new headcanons or anything, I’m going to give a couple based on how I think Shouhei most likes to feel loved through the love languages.

I do think that he is someone who will try his best to accept however his partner feels most comfortable showing their love. He does everything he can to understand that not everyone expresses themselves the way he does, and tries to find ways to be content with however his partner chooses to show him their care for him.

However, I really do think that, giving and receiving, the love language of physical touch is just super important to him. If his partner is uncomfortable with physical affection or deprives him of it, rebuffing his attempts to get even casually flirty and touchy with them, he’s really going to feel it and it will frustrate him immensely. It’s an automatic way to make him second-guess whether his partner is really even into him at all, if they even care about him at all. He needs, even in an asexual partner, someone who is affectionate – hugs of any sort, hand-holding or slinging an arm around his waist, cuddling with him, kisses of any sort, his partner running their fingers through his hair (it’s something almost guaranteed to put him to sleep), back or shoulder rubs after a long day, taking showers together and soaping him up…really just any sort of intimate, physical touch like those sorts of things will go miles in making him feel loved and taken care of.

That’s another really big one with Shouhei. While he won’t admit it, might sometimes joke about it good-naturedly, there is a part of him that wants to feel like his partner is taking care of him as much as he’s taking care of them. He doesn’t much like his partner’s to spend their cash on him – while he’s always an appreciative recipient, he feels a little awkward accepting gifts. But having a partner do his laundry, knowing it’s one of the chores he hates the most? Having them give him those shoulder rubs, not expecting anything in return? Them watching one of his favourite movies or shows with him, even though he knows his partner had really wanted to watch something else or is totally disinterested in the genre? His partner tucking him in and spoiling him when he’s sick, because they genuinely care about him and want him to feel better quickly, even though there’s a risk that they’ll get sick just from being around him. All of these little acts of service go a long way in letting Shouhei know that he’s just as important to his partner as his partner is to him.

In other words, Shouhei’s love languages, unsurprisingly, are pretty much the same, both giving and receiving.

What are some signs they’ve fallen for someone? How do they show their affection?

First off, I don’t think Shouhei immediately realizes he’s falling or has fallen for someone. He’s such a friendly guy, so used to having so many people in his life that he enjoys and cares about in some form, that it’s not going to automatically spark for him that hey, oh gosh, I really care about this person.

I do think that the first sign that he’s at least interested in someone is that he is physically attracted to them. He looks at them and starts noticing all the things he likes about how they look. Please remember here that this doesn’t necessarily mean that the person Shouhei’s interested in has to be in any form conventionally or traditionally attractive. Beauty is very much in the eye of the beholder and the things Shouhei is noticing are probably going to be small things – how their smile lights up their whole face and makes him want to grin in return, how cute he finds the slope of their nose, how expressive their eyes are, how fluffy or shiny and smooth their hair is, what cute ears they have or hands they have. He finds himself staring at them sometimes, though he doesn’t think they’ve caught him doing so, at least not too much. He knows that physically, at least, there is a part of him that wants them.

However, this doesn’t necessarily mean that Shouhei’s falling for someone. He can be attracted to someone’s looks and have absolutely zero interest in pursuing anything further with them than maybe a casual hookup. But that attraction will at least open the door to the process that could make him fall, because the things that make him fall are normally very personality based.

Shouhei is someone who kind of constantly needs some sort of stimulation. He doesn’t like to be bored. He always wants to be doing something, even if it’s just sitting around and shooting the shit with friends. It’s why the biggest sign that he’s fallen for someone, the thing that sets off the big, buzzing, neon ‘fuck, you know what, I wanna date this person’ bulb in his brain, is the fact that Shouhei will find himself completely content to just do nothing with this person. They don’t need to be doing much of anything. They don’t even need to be keeping up a conversation. They could just be laying on the grass, looking at the stars in silence, or sitting beside each other and the silence doesn’t bother him. It doesn’t feel awkward. He’s not bored. He’s simply relaxed and strangely happy in the moment. He doesn’t feel any pressure to entertain them or any need to entertain himself. It’s just peaceful when he’s with them in these moments.

He’s a part-time worker, so he’s pretty broke a lot, especially since he likes to go out and do things. It’s another real big tip-off for him that he’s really got it bad when he starts cutting back on the things he sees and wants, just so that he can have money to go hang out with them, or some spare pocket change to sometimes get them little somethings to surprise them with, just so he can hear their delighted voice and see their face light up. That’s one of the last signs, the final nail in the coffin.

Other little things that will tip not only Shouhei, but those around him, off to the fact that he’s really started to get into someone: he’ll start mentioning them a lot. They’ll start popping up in his conversations more and more frequently. His friends feel like they know that person before they even get to meet them.

He’ll start taking a lot of care about looking particularly good, fussing with his hair and paying more attention to his clothes, what cologne he’s wearing, and all that, and it’s always on days that he’s going to see that person he’s into.

He starts finding excuses to drop by and spend more time with them. They say they’re sitting at home bored but don’t have the energy to go out? Well, he can always stop by. He’s not even that far away. Better to be bored with someone else, after all!

How and how often do they try to impress their partner(s)? How and how often do their partner(s) impress them?

I really do see Shouhei as someone who does like to impress their partner. He wants to show off all the good things about himself to the person he’s crazy about. He wants them to be proud of him and to feel like they’ve lucked out getting him, because that’s exactly how he feels about them.

This starts way back in the crushing on phase, as I mentioned above. He’s always going to be trying to find little ways to get his partner’s attention on him. He’ll find himself subconsciously flexing around them. He makes sure to tell more jokes around them, doing anything he can to make them laugh. Their laughter is one of his favourite sounds in the world, after all. He isn’t above acting silly or stupid just to get a grin out of them, as long as they’re not laughing purely at his expense.

When they get into a relationship, I see him as being the kind of guy who sends ‘daily thirst traps’ to his partner. Sometimes they’re workout pictures or videos of him in the gym. Sometimes they’re sexy pictures of him shirtless, taken to really emphasize his muscles. Sometimes they’re something even a little naughtier, especially if Shouhei’s really craving that kind of intimate time alone with his partner because maybe it’s been a week or so and he’s kind of going mad with how much he wants his partner. Of course, he’s definitely not going to say no to his partner sending those daily thirst traps in return. That would be crazy.

He also tries to impress his partner in other ways that people wouldn’t expect though. He doesn’t want them to think of him as just some himbo they’re fucking around with. He doesn’t want them to think of him solely as the good-times guy. He likes to show off how good of a friend he is. He likes showing off that he has a somewhat healthy relationship, at least now, with his parents. He likes to show off that he’s at least somewhat capable of bringing in money, letting them know he can be a provider for them. He wants them, after all, to consider him as someone who could stay in their life not just for a couple months, but maybe a lot longer than that.

you're right: we are interestingly many aces that has fallen head over heals for him x'D I mean how could we not yet it is still quite interesting and something that could be fun researching a bit further why we gravitate towards him 🤔

Writing this I actually got a few theories in my head (I can only speak for myself of course so take this with as much salt you find nesescary)

For me Käärijä represents an authenticity that is outside of that linked to sexual attraction - he is just fully his own goofy self and that makes people love him. I think he also might be one of the most loved contestant BY the other contestants this year but I could be biased having mostly seen preparty and backstage clips relating to Käärijä and Joker Out.

That is the other thing I really love seeing as an aroace person: that Käärijä just got to be friends with everybody and created very strong bonds with pretty much everybody to the point that half the contestants went to him when the winner was announced instead of congratulating Loreen (no shade on her).

I love that Käärijä shows how important and pure platonic relationships can be and that not everything in the world has to be about romantic chemistry or sex appeal (those two things to me are more of a bonus so I am so not saying that he doesn't have or deserve to have either).

As a sidenote I adore that Käärijä seemingly got adopted by the Joker Out guys from the moment he and Bojan bonded and to me at least the relationship the guys have read very queerplatonic, which again is very ace coded if you ask me.

It doesn't help either that his outfit is very aro coded and the fact he has stated he doesn't really enjoy writing love songs (and has only written 2 himself) 🤣💚

So in short- he is just out here being his authentic self and I love that for him 🥺💚

I’ve fallen out of reading fanfiction, mostly because I’ve been burned by it too many times. Even the authors I figured I could trust to not be sexist or homophobic would have some stupid line snuck in that feels like a way to say “don’t worry, everyone, I’m a follower of genderism!”. But I’m always happy for ladies who’ve managed to find things that work for them!

I think it’s really stupid to assume that a lesbian is actually straight or bi because she enjoys M/M content. I find that lesbians are held under such scrutiny with every single thing we do, in a way that gay men are not. For example, if a gay man stans Lady Gaga, nobody assumes that he’s actually bi/straight and is attracted to her. But if a lesbian stans some male celebrity or character, it’s assumed that she wants to fuck him. Which is very insulting to women, this idea that we’d only pay attention to a celeb/character if we want to fuck them. Because it implies that we’re not capable of just enjoying somebody’s artistry, or the complexity of a character the same way men are.

Personally, I’m not watching or reading things just to be horny? Okay, I’ll admit to sometimes rewatching First Kill just so I can thirst over Elinor lol, but that’s not the only reason I watch it. I genuinely love the show, the hot evil woman is just a bonus. There’s so much more to experiencing a work than just being attracted to the people/characters in it. And again, I think it’s incredibly offensive when people imply that women aren’t capable of experiencing that full range of emotions and thoughts—that our interest must start and end at sexual attraction.

And all of this applies to fanfiction. I’m just focusing on the person aspect because like I said, I haven’t read fanfiction in a long while.

Now, are there women in fandom who call themselves lesbians but clearly aren’t? Absolutely, and they drive me crazy. But it’s not just because they’re reading M/M fan fiction. It’s because they’re posting about how much they want to fuck some guy because “he’s my one exception!”. In that case, I’d hope we can all agree that that is not a lesbian. Or on the slightly less obnoxious side, they’re talking about male celebs/characters in a way that clearly shows they’re coming from a place of sexual attraction (I’ve actually seen this in particular more from self-proclaimed “asexual” women than self-proclaimed “lesbians”. They claim they’re some form of “aspec”, then start raving about a man the same way a straight or bi woman would. Nothing wrong with that, but be honest with yourselves ffs).

But if you’re just reading M/M fan fiction because you’re invested in male characters and want to see them happy? That has nothing to do with sexuality. And anyone who claims it does needs to reassess why they believe that women are so shallow that we can’t enjoy anything that we aren’t horny over.

The most random, small things can trigger stuff, especially when Bizly’s tired. He flinches when there’s a sudden loud noise. Reacts way more than a god with so many senses should.

-- Cat Bizly. Dog Grizzly. Do they go into space? Sometimes. They can actually turn into the animal. Bizly is a blue cat, Grizzly is a pug. Not sure about puppy grizz but pretty solid on cat biz.

-- Grizzly is overprotective over Bizly. Vise versa. They will literally hiss/growl.

-- Charlie’s usually the big dipper. Gribzly can be both but after the fallen arc, Bizly became small (BIZLY PEQUENO). Condi’s small for Charlie and big for Gribzly. [Listen, we have to shorten some terms. Like removing the “dipper”.]

-- Gribzly. Condicicle. Yes. (They’re still all gay for each other, it’s just those pairs are closer to each other.)

-- Grizzly laughs at almost every single one of Charlie’s jokes. Condi comes right after. Then there’s Bizly, deadpanning. Or making his own joke, while Grizzly’s dying in the background.

-- Too many times people walked into a Gribzly make out session.

-- So despite everything I said about gribzly and charlie, grizzly really does love Charlie. Vise versa. They're usually holding hands when they're out. Usually always. Like, they're both so clingy.

Between Charlie and Ted, I think the council's kind of fucked relationship will pop up in casual conversation at some point in the podcast. They cut it out, but off camera Ted asks if Charlie wants him to help, and offers to therapy the bois.

-- Condi sometimes uses they/he or they/them, depends on the time.

-- I just want to make everyone, even Schlatt, all respectful with identities. Like Schlatt might have teamed up with someone but that someone turns out to be homophobic and even though Schlatt's winning, the ram man's gonna pulverize the homophobe right there if that teammate doesn't apologize/fix their mistake.

-- Bizly or Charlie sometimes walks into Condi and Grizzly clinging to each other as they cry about anime. Bizly slowly closes the door while Charlie asks what's wrong. Depends on how severe the damage is, whether they respond or not.

-- They know the future has changed for them, especially Charlie and Condi, mostly Condi. Charlie sometimes gets nightmares of a swarm of zombies pushing him into lava, a chess game with a ghost, but only thinks those are weird nightmares. Condi knows more. He tries to ignore what the Code is trying to tell him, that this isn’t right and isn’t real.

-- Bizly (sometimes) has blue-ish black cat ears.

-- Grizzly has the doggo ears and tail.

-- Charlie can literally turn into slime, right on the spot. It's kinda disturbing so he doesn't do it (or tries to not) in front of other people. It's terrifying, really, seeing him melt.

-- Charlie in my hc looks pretty much the same with his minecraft skin except he has a green cape thing and looks a bit more powerful.

i got rejected, again.

i'm 23. a little over half a year on T. i've only had one boyfriend and that lasted three months. (the reasons for our break up were numerous, but the main one was we basically weren't even attracted each other, we were better off as friends.) the only other people i know about that liked me in a romantic (or sexual way) were 1) my female friend who told me after i complained one day that no one wants me to make me feel better about myself and 2) my classmate in 1st grade whom i hated.

i've had plenty of crushes and even loves throughout the years. when i was a teen, i struggled with a lot of shame around romantic feelings and it was almost impossible for me to talk to people whom i've liked, let alone ask them out. when it got a little better, i would hang out with my crushes and try to make moves that weren't obvious and could be interpreted in numerous ways in hopes of them catching it and reciprocating with bigger moves. it never worked. some people i was sure they were flirting with me. it turned out they weren't. a big portion of the people i liked turned out to be taken. I've always fallen too fast and too hard without even really knowing them, and when i got to know this information, it was too late. i got my heart broken. i always got very attached to people (romantic interests and friends, and the latter hurt more), too fast and too strong for my own good. it's something i've been working on in therapy for 7 years already. i also got diagnosed with depression and an anxiety disorder 7 years ago. i've come a long way and i've been seeing incredible results, but i'm still not where i want to be.

in the past three years, i've come out and started my transition. i also lost my religion and have been dismantling the complex system of beliefs that has been holding me down. these two things significantly improved my relationship with my body and my sexuality. i'm less dysphoric and i like my own body now. i'm no longer scared of having sexual fantasies. (when i was little, they made me believe having those was equivalent to raping that person) i've confessed to three men and a half (half because the confession might have not been clear and he didn't really react to it, but he also flirted with me before?? i'm gonna talk to him about it soon). i got rejected those three times (one guy's reason was that i'm trans). i also got rejected a few more times without confessing, that was on dating apps. and there were a few more unrequited loves these past three years that didn't even reject me, but it was clear they had no interest in me (they were mostly taken, as i later found out).

i've never had sex. ex-boyfriend was a sex-repulsed asexual. he's the only person i ever kissed. i'm not against hook ups, but i feel like it would be safer for me to have first sex with someone close to me who i can trust. i'm scared for my first time to be with a stranger.

i have a hard time flirting with people. it's difficult and nerve-wracking for me unless i can see that that person is interested too (if you're wondering who i flirted with, it was one of the guys who rejected me later. he flirted with me too, at least it looked that way.) i don't know where the line is, what's appropriate and what isn't. i've flirted with this one guy and i feel like it has no effect?? i'm scared of being too gross. i'm also scared of flirting and immediately being rejected because i read the room wrong and that person only sees me as a friend. i'm scared of the humiliation. i'm scared of feeling less than. i'm scared of the other person being mean to me. i know rejection is a part of life and it's not the end of the world, but i feel like i've been rejected so many times compared to the number of times i haven't (1), that each rejection just stacks one another. i feel dysregulated. i feel inferior sometimes. all the thoughts and feelings are so complicated. i feel like i never calm down and heal fully. it just continues on.

my options are significantly smaller than those of the majority because i'm trans and gay. i also have a very particular type that's hard to find. i've fallen for people outside my type, too, but in general, i'm not really attracted to a big number of people, which too makes my options smaller. it's not like i don't meet any new people, i do, through friends, on dating apps, at school, at pride events... but i don't go to clubs or bars. i'm shy and scared. i might go soon though.

i've mostly gone for cis men. i think i'd have more of a chance if i went for trans men. i see a lot of trans people dating each other and they're so happy. they say T4T is amazing. it's not like i wouldn't date a trans guy. but so far the trans men i've known just weren't my type. and if i was attracted to them, i later found their personality unlikable (one manipulated me and gaslighted me). as i said, my type is very specific. i like men who are more femme, but in a certain way. i also have a thing for long hair. i myself present more femme and have long hair. i wonder if it's just internalized transphobia. that maybe i should be attracted to more trans men. but i don't fully believe i'm wrong for this. i just think trans men tend to go for masculinity or short-haired androgyny more often and i'm not attracted to that very often. you might think – it's not all about looks! if you like someone, you'll start to find them attractive no matter what they look like. and yeah. i know. but they should interest me in some way, right? and since i've been super busy (uni + two jobs) and honestly have a lot of friends already that i'm trying to keep contact with, i haven't really felt the need to connect with more people unless i'm already attracted to them.

i've done a lot of complaining here. you might find me annoying. i just needed to vent somewhere. because frankly, i'm just fucking tired. and i'm scared that i will never find someone. it's not just about a long term relationship. i wonder if there's even one person that's attracted to me. i know it's not other people's fault. i have a lot of problems to deal with that make dating harder for me. I know i should've been more proactive in the past and i still should be. it's just that each step carries a new possibility of rejection. and i wonder if there's a point when i can't take it anymore. there's currently someone i really like. he flirted with me. i need to talk to him and figure what's up. it's just that i'm so scared. all the time. i've overcame my fear with him so many times – to talk to him, to ask him to hang out, to flirt with him... sometimes i've been let down. i don't know what he wants. it's been a long time and i wonder if it ever ends up somewhere other than a friendship. i'm scared that even if he likes me, he'll give up on me because i'm not proactive enough. my fear makes me fuck my chances up. but i can't help myself sometimes.
