Headcannon: Logan asks Sunshine's 'Family' before proposing

- He starts by asking Jamie if they can talk, just the two of them and James, of course, is thinking he's gonna get murdered. Like, brings mace or whatever cause he is not going down without a fight

"Look, I know we didn't get off on the right foot and we don't always see eye to eye but you're important to Y/N so I wanted to do this right." Logan would slide the ring across the table to show Jamie

"I'm flattered but Nik and I are-"

"IT'S FOR Y/N, YA DUMBASS."

"... You're serious about this?" 

"Believe me, bub, I wouldn't be talking to you if I wasn't."

James would be touched that Logan was asking him before Sunshine but could never tell Logan that so there would be an awkward pause as he's computing

"So?"

"... So?"

"Well! Say something! I know you're not her father but you're the closest thing she's got and she cares what you think. So. Whatdya think? Is this a good idea or am I just kidding myself?"

Jamie would be so confused by Logan showing real emotions that he wouldn't know what to do so he'd probably shift into Doctor mode, being all logical and what not

"Well she certainly seems to love you and I love my sister so I would never get between the two of you if this is what the both of you want. I think the next step would be talking to her about what her expectations are for this relationship you two have. Would you be moving in? Are you expecting her to move? Logan would sorta blink as he takes in all the information and questions he hadn't considered before

Rocket has no real reason for stealing the batteries other than he wanted to

Rocket can't read sarcasm unless it's explicitly shown to him. He also doesn't understand insults unless he knows what they mean. Autism coded...

Drax has to be more than strong, he's got to be superhuman at this point. He was flung around by the monster that would have killed a human instantly, survived the pressure changes of going through a jump point without exploding, and was hit around by trees like a pinball. Gamora and maybe Nebula are the only ones I can see surviving that. Speaking of which how does Quill survive being thrown around by the monster without breaking any bones?

When Gamora says "If you'd flown with what's in between your ears instead of what's in between your legs" she points to Rocket for the latter half of that statement implying he wasn't castrated by the High Evolutionary. 👀

It's implied Rocket doesn't completely understand depth and 3D space when saying Ego was a tiny man which makes sense for a raccoon but also not for the best pilot in the galaxy.

I don't know much about Kurt Russell's history in acting but him as a villain is fantastic

Despite having such tiny and probably fragile hands Rocket can still punch hard. The way he grabs things meant for normal hands with his little grippy paws is so adorable!!!

Drax wasn't lying when he said he was humble. Despite being a bit reckless he rarely brags about himself at all.

Even though family story time about impregnation probably is not a good idea Drax is probably the most sex positive member of the group.

Ego says he made pain receptors yet he doesn't react to anything as if it hurts at all.

Nebula never was a sadist. Thanos made her become violent because he hurt her every time she lost, so she got more and more angry. If she successfully enacted her plan of torturing Thanos I don't think she would have enjoyed it, she would be delivering a sense of justice in her eyes. She doesn't talk about that plan with fondness, she talks about it like it's a hard job that'll take a lot of willpower to complete. Who knows how many years of Thanos' abuse were quickly replaced by love and she barely resisted being healed.

When Peter successfully forms the celestial energy Ego doesn't look into his son's eyes with pride, he looks at the energy with greed. Great subtle acting.

I don't think Drax meant to insult Mantis by calling her ugly, that was just an unfortunate moment of unfiltered honesty. The fact that he quickly changes the meaning so it's some kind of compliment is impressive and adorable.

When Peter says he sees Eternity I think he sees the thing from Thor 4. Ego's plan is to reach Eternity and wish for the universe to be completely and totally his.

The contrast of the majesty Ego supposedly shows Peter and the horror of Ego's genocidal design found by Gamora and Nebula with music is perfect

The crabby puppy so cute he makes me wanna die 😍

Kraglin is so cute he's had such a hard life he just needs a warm shower and a talking Russian dog for a best friend.

The reason Mantis could put Ego to sleep when he didn't want to isn't because she's super powerful (even though she is) it's because she's part celestial and maybe Ego happened to miss a little bit of the connection to the light she has.

Life isn't about trying to make everything perfect or exactly the way you want it to, it's about diversity. That's what Ego doesn't understand.

My headcanon is that Yondu is the only one of his crew that actually cared about hygiene. He looks relatively clean compared to everybody else.

normally i'm not in an x reader mood but this just screams evanstan going on their weekly early morning run (which you know one of them is grumbling about lol), and you just blearily waking up to them as they're getting home, going down the stairs to join them in preparing breakfast 😍 it's bacon and waffles and coffee with a side of sweet kisses on your cheeks from both of 'em before you all dig in :)

(they're always a little touchy-feely after their run, excess energy still thrumming under their veins... so the look in their eyes after you finish suggest they also want a little dessert, hmmm maybe... upstairs?)

And, also, because you didn't specify one way or the other, this is a gender neutral reader drabble.

This isn't smut, it ended up being all fluff because that's what my fingers typed, but there are plenty of innuendos throughout, so... this is still very adult!

You stumble blearily into the entryway of the airy kitchen after waking up on your own in your huge bed with enough mattress and blankets for three, dangerously warm and comfortable. You could have easily drifted right back off, but you didn't because something pulled you to your feet--maybe having enough sleep, maybe the sun peaking through the curtains, maybe a tiny noisy downstairs, maybe the longing for your two missing lovers, who's to say? Either way, you tragically left your bed and stepped into a pair of loose shorts and shirt. It's not chilly in the house, but it's not overly hot like it tends to get with two huge fucking superhero-sized men sharing your bed.

Awake and out of bed, descending the stairs, still half-alseep, only happened on autopilot and with as tight of a grip on the handrailing as you could manage.

But, you are pleased you pulled yourself from bed when you reach the bottom of the stairwell because it's there that you find Chris and Seb. The two of them are back from their run already.

Their morning run because, well, they're moviestars and what are moviestars in this perfection-obsessive world without their crazy fitness routines and outrageously restrictive diets.

Fittness with cardio in the morning and another workout in the afternoon or evening (sometimes both, depending on what they're preparing for). That later workout probably with even more cardio thrown in as if it's just a fun bonus. You shake your head and rub the sleep from your eyes as you think about it. Watching them stick to their routines and diets makes you exhausted, so you really can't imagine how they do it and stay sane. Chris, between the two of them, seems to enjoy it more, but... your eyes trace his shoulders, broad as ever, and drop to his waist, still so trim--not Captain America tiny, but close--his body clings to muscle so easily. Sebastian, thank God, is more human when it comes to working out (not when it comes to beauty, though, Jesus). He bulks up and shaves down and does all this crazy shit, but it takes him more effort than Chris. Chris maintains like it's nothing; Sebastian's determination and conviction can't be beaten.

Fitness aside, you're reminded of your train of thought about diets by noting how Chris is manning the oven, one of his big paws wrapped around the handle of a sizzling pan. Your nose and ears tell you that it's bacon sizzling away in the pan, cooking up a storm. Real bacon, too, not even the turkey or the strange mushroom-replacement kind Chris has taken a liking to. It must be a special occasion for real bacon.

And, how funny, you think, for someone who's pescatarian to be cooking something he won't join you and Seb in eating, but, hey, he's just sweet like that.

Sebastian, in stark contrast, is zipping around, gathering one thing from the cabinet at a time only to dump it into a bowl, stir for a minute, then putting whatever he grabbed back and grabbing another. Why he doesn't get everything out first, then dump, stir it all together, then put everything away..? you don't know. He's a little scatter brained when it comes to cooking, but that's sweet, too. More and more every day, you're more convinced that he is a cat like Chris says. And, at that, a cat that Chris and you have done your best to domesticate, convincing Mr. New York City that he can't live on either take-out or pre-prepped every-macro-perfect ready meals from a nutritionist, he should learn to slap together more than the most basic sandwiches and easy meals.

Now, you watch Sebastian dump a whole heaping, heaping scoop of protein powder into his bowl. It goes flying everywhere, making a cloud that has him covertly trying not to cough as he accidentally inhales a lungful. It makes you chuckle, your heart squeezing in your chest.

What a dummy.

Your slightly-consealed laughter and the sound of you entering their atmosphere, padding bare foot into the kitchen, announces your presence. Both of their heads turn to you. They're like a pair of meercats, staring at you, their eyes equally alight with excitement to see you. As if they haven't been seeing you all day every week--as if they didn't just roll out of your bed this morning.

They're sweet.

"Hey!"

"'Eyy!"

Their voices blend together pleasantly, hitting your ears and sending a corresponding wave of affection through you at the recognition of them. Together. Both of them yours.

They're so good together.

You're all so good together.

"Good mornin'," you reply to them both, coming closer, drawn in by their gravity and the familiar warmth the kitchen exudes without even trying.

"We saved you a cup of joe," Chris teases, his tone all rumbling and low as he tips his chin in the direction of a steaming mug of the good stuff on the counter, next to the coffee maker still with a little left in the pot--it won't be there for long, Sebastian's sure to have another cup, then, maybe, make a whole 'nother round of the stuff. Chris' voice is still morning-rough despite having been up for an hour, maybe more, already with their run behind him and breakfast well on the way. Apparently, Seb and him haven't talked much during their run. That, or, all the heavy breathing has done him in, tearing his throat up.

"Mmm," you hum, stifling back a yawn, shaking off your tiredness still. "Thanks," you retort, "but I'm not sure I want any of Joe." Even as you say it, you're already snagging the mug he tipped his head toward. The coffee they made and sweetened for you, not just accidentally saved.

They're so, so sweet.

"What about some Sebastian?" Seb charmingly jumps in from the other side of the kitchen where he's pulling a water bottle and gallon of milk out from the fridge. He has a moment of confusion, written across his handsome, expressive face, before ultimately making the right decision and setting down the milk next to his bowl and drinking from his water bottle, not the other way around by accident.

You laugh at him, his cuteness, and at his joke.

"Or Chris?" Chris throws his hat in the ring, too, chuckling while he flips the bacon, letting it hizz and crackle.

And suddenly, they're your bookends. Chris, on your left, and Sebastian on your right. Sweaty, sweaty bookends that smell, yeahh, like they've been on a run. Somehow, though, you don't mind.

Rather than pushing them away with faux-complaints of their stench, you sigh, relaxing into their body heat, letting their shoulders and hands prop you up for the moment. And, of course, Seb gets a kiss on the cheek from you for yes and-ing your bit, and before Chris can make a good-natured fuss of the unfair treatment, one for him, too. Both cheek kisses and smacking and a little silly. It's a good morning, light and sweet.

Chris leans back into you when your lips meet his cheek, nearly sending all you toppling onto the kitchen tiles with his weight shift. Sebastian makes a goofy sound, thrown off and swaying on his feet, unbalanced. You're all a murmur of laughs then. Your coffee sloshes happily in your mug, sending up another lazy spiral of steam.

"Good run?" You ask, turning your head again to nose Sebastian's high cheekbone. His skin is still flushed with heat from their morning exercise. It's not cold enough out for that pretty color to be a result of a chill. Nah, it's all good, old-fashioned exertion.

"As good of a run as a run could be, I guess." Seb grumbles, mostly talking to himself. He's much less of a morning person than Chris. Often, Chris trying to wake Sebastian up to go on a run wakes you up incidentally because he sleeps like the. dead. All of those years in New York City and needing to drown out the constant noise has him trained well.

"And what do you have to say to that, Mr. Evans?" You turn back to the aformented man, putting on your best gossip-y reporter voice. If you weren't holding your coffee, you'd pretend to hold a microphone up to his mouth.

"He's full of it," Chris conspires with you, "it was the best fucking run."

"Oh? How so?" You ask in jest, "did you see a particularly pretty tree while pounding the pavement, lover boy?"

"They can still be pretty without changing colors!" Chris insists, cosplaying as the Lorax this morning and every morning, apparently.

"Uh-huh," you humor them both, playing into Seb's joke and teasing Chris, "you talk our ears off enough, we know. We know. Trees a very pretty."

"Hey, watch it," Chris slips from your hold, but not before lifting his hand to drag his fingers across the back of Sebastian's hand on your shoulders, always wanting to touch. "Do you want bacon or not? 'Cause I don't have to cook it."

Sebastian moans at the mention of food before you can retort about being perfectly capable of fending for yourself, unlike some people in this relationship.

"I'll take that as a yes," Chris wiggles his eyebrows, laughing some more--bright and beautiful.

"Help me with the pancakes?" Sebastian asks when it's clear that Chris is actually back to cooking despite both of you pouting at his big, broad back for not getting in some more vertical kitchen cuddle time.

"Sure," you seal the deal with another kiss, this time leaning in to press your lips together, not just on the cheek again. He tastes like coffee and creamer. "What else do they need?"

"Just some milk, I think?" Seb tells you, he scratches his head, "yeah, I'm pretty sure everything else is in there already."

You peer into his bowl, piled with ingredients, and it seems that he's right. Shocking.

From the stove, Chris corrects, "he just doesn't want to mix it by hand himself."

"My arms are tiiiiired," Sebastian does his best innocent-kitten face, aiming it your way.

That needs to be illegal, you swear. He could get away with murder, looking like that. But... it can't save him from a little bit more teasing. Not this morning. "From running?" You laugh.

Chris snorts, "what else?"

"I dunno," you pick up the bowl, cradling it in one arm and whipping the spatula around the bowl. You're indulging his antics because... he's cute. Also, it is kind of satisfying to whip it all up together, seeing everything come together. "I don't know what you two do when I'm not awake."

"Did you--" Chris turns all the way around from where he's tending another round of bacon, pointing his fork at you "--just insinuate that we get handsy on our runs."

You shrug, knowing a smirk is pulling itself onto your lips despite trying to be innocent yourself. You're not as good of an actor as either of them (unsurprising, because, hello, they're fantastic). "I just said I don't know," you reply smartly, "and who's to say there aren't pre- or post-run handjobs between the two of you because, from my point of view, workouts really don't seem to drain your energy all that much. If, anything, they seem to get you going."

Chris is grinning wickedly at you, one of his eyebrows raising and his lips falling open, thinking of what to say--probably coming up with the most inappropriate joke he can, just because he can and he really is a dorky, filthy Boston boy at heart.

"Don't burn anything, bacon boy," you cut him off before he has the chance.

Sebastian, recovering from his own background sputtering--embarrassed by the notion of running being some weird kind of aphrodisiac or by the idea of hurting himself by jerking Chis off so enthusiastically--cuts in before thinking better of it, just opening his mouth and letting the words fall out, "it would take way more than just a few handies to make my arms sore."

You choke on a laugh, nearly doing a full-on spit-take of your coffee, narrowly not getting it everywhere.

When you recover, you eye him up and down, asking, "oh? Really?"

Chris is also full of giggles, "yeah," he seconds you, throwing the words over his shoulder, attending to the bacon, "care to share what would make you sore?"

"Yeah," stepping closer back toward Sebastian as you whip and beat the pancake batter, you tilt your head to the side, "'cause, as far as I know, we don't have any plans today, so..."

Chris finishes your thought, "well, I think we have plans now."

Pinned beneath your interested stare, Sebastian doesn't say anything to that. He doesn't need to. His body is saying enough for him--his mouth hanging open, his face is even pinker, his hands rising up to cover his mouth with just the slightest thrilled tremble to them. The closest to words he gets is a whimpery little noise. Yeah. You've got plans.

Bart knowing about Gar before others feels so real because he's spent his childhood surrounded by people who felt like Gar does right now, and maybe Gar (not to mention Bart himself) felt like that in the future as well. I wonder how well Bart knew BB in his own time, if he ever really knew him at all, and if it has impact on their current friendship

Oh to see the effects of Bart's childhood on his behaviour in the present, you've sprinkled bits and pieces, and I'm taking it all in like a starving man

yeah i like to think that as soon as gar came back from Mars bart took one look at gar and was like damn he’s going to be going through it

i just imagine mental illness would be extremely prevalent in bart’s original era, i think it’s by-product of a post-apocalyptic society that makes too much sense. And with no system in place to treat it as normal, well bart must have seen some pretty intense stuff

honestly i really don’t know (or have an idea lol) of how well bart new gar in his TL, in my opinion he didn’t know him personally at all. I’m usually in the camp that most of the team had died in one way or another in bart’s time. The ones that i usually do think he knew or knew of “in person” some what at the very least are Barbara Gordon, Wally West (this is a maybe), Lian and maybe that’s about it. It varies with either more members or less, hoe stay i’m unsure, but these r the ones that i typically think of. With how coy bart was when he first came to the past and spoke to gar, honestly anything is possible though lol

i just usually don’t think that the original members were as involved i. his childhoos as some fics make them out to be, one of the biggest reason is because i think the ones who were alive, dispersed to different locations to take part in rebelling etc so it would make it hard for him to know many personally, he might have heard of and gotten details, but beside that it’s really up in the air. The only HC i sometimes think of /include is Barbara Gordon being the one to teach him how to read/write etc education stuff when he was really young and the tornado twins were still alive (so before he was 5), but other than that, idk

I'm not a huge fan of the Teddy Era myself but I have no choice but to respect it, as George does look good

Bake Me Please - Ep 4

I have no idea what it is about Bake Me Please, how it came to be my second favorite series that I'm currently watching.

A possible explanation is that while the show has this specific, over-the-top soap opera/Antique Bakery aesthetic, the characters and their behaviors are very human - and very imperfect. They all do stupid things… and I literally have an explanation for all of their idiocy and they all fit the plot to me 😀

There is a terrible, cartoonish mother who lives in the palace... who is terrible in this very ordinary, mundane way. There are her sons who are also realistic and their family dynamic is ultimately… very down to earth. For example, their conversations in this episode certainly take place in many homes. Just.. the way she behaves, or the brothers' conversation, it all feels very real. Shin melting in the presence of the grandmother, a motherly figure, is understandable considering his childhood. Peach and Shin's relationship is also very realistic, their mutual fascination overcoming common sense, good physical compatibility and lack of emotional compatibility. Their fights and reconciliations so far are consistent with the relationship of such personalities. Peach lying to Shin, Shin forbidding Peach from having contact with Guy - bad, but not surprising. I even understand Shin, who doesn't want to talk about their relationship at work because 1) he doesn't want drama 2) he avoids conflict 3) he knows that "flaunting" his relationship will actually hurt Oab. I would also prefer to keep such a relationship a secret, although I would tell Peach WHY 😤) Shin, who doesn't confide in Peach, doesn't tell him things - it fits his personality, his upbringing, even though it's so irritating. Peach, who simply went to a restaurant with Guy and lied, did something stupid, but he is still young and wants something very much and he has this dream and when an opportunity appears… he just takes it without thinking about the consequences. I get it. Shin, unable to take a proper care of his boyfriend, being a dick to him, ignoring his dreams and his words, acts as if he simply didn't know HOW to do it, as if he had not learned HOW to be considerate. Guy quitting his job, having complexes, blaming Shin, is acting stupid - this is still very human behavior, although annoying af. Shin being angry and feeling abandoned and betrayed by Guy also acts understandably, including feeling betrayed by Peach as well and taking it out on him - even though he acted like an asshole.

This series is so unique, there is so much stupid, irritating and uncool behavior in it, and it doesn't even bother me (I mean it does, but I'm cool with it lol). And I like the cast, Ohm plays the asshole like a pro, Guide plays the cutie as he should, they have a good dynamic together, and this is probably the first series in which seme character is not Mr. Perfect, but a real dick 😭 And then there is Poom, who is the perfect rival, the one I look at and I KNOW that he actually CAN mess up this relationship 😍 And tattoos, and a nice wake-up scene, and Peach anticipating that he won't be sleeping at Shin's house ✨

I CAN'T STAND THE KISS THAT LOOKS LIKE CHEATING TROPE, uuuughhhhhhhh 🤢, can it die already? I understand why Oab did it - although I absolutely do not approve! But I'm angry that Peach saw this. Will we ever see this trope in which the one who sees such a kiss WAITS until the end and sees the rejection and anger of the beloved kissed without their consent???? Is their love so weak that when they see such a scene they immediately assume cheating and not that someone is doing something wrong to their loved one? 😬

Right. Well. I hope you're ready for this because I have a lot to talk about for yearbook 🤣

Firstly, I loved the structure of this chapter. A day in the life of Eddie, centered around his session. How Ms Kelly has had to draw him out over a few days. Because yea, he's made it there in the first place, but it doesn't automatically mean he's gonna be a model of open conversation and spilling his guts straight away. Felt very real that, like 'well I've shown up, what more do you want from me?'

Him just having a minute and sitting observing everyone from his van. Like his little moment of calm. It actually was like a scene from a movie, it reminded me of the first episode of season 4, as Robin is getting out of Steve's car and we're dipping in and out of everyone's conversations and goings on. Loved this.

Then his view of R coming into school, how he held back but still gave her that sign of solidarity with the thumbs up. He's so precious, I can't cope. And she needed that so much, her thinking about it later on to get her through the shitty parts of her day was perfect.

R's dad telling her that she basically deserves anything awful that happens to her, just for being a good person. Urgh that guy has some serious issues. Of all the people that need some therapy...

Then Chrissy! She made so many smart choices in this chapter. You've characterised her really well in this. Like she's presented as this really sweet and kind person in the show, but would she have stayed true to that when it mattered in a difficult situation with an audience? I love that you have her do that. Their lunch scene with Dustin was hilarious. Eddie's 'WHAT?!' After the marriage talk 🤣 pal, you would have her in a hot minute.

Really enjoyed the coaches comedy relief after the Jason/Eddie confrontation, and that R and Eddie had more conversation. Especially when it's flirting, could read them like this all day 😍

Honourable mention to Wayne again, for basically being a solid parent and showing Eddie what 'stable' looks like. I hope R meets him at some point and thinks 'oh shit, this is what a dad's supposed to look like'

Strange note for me to end on but I love how you full name everyone when they're not in direct conversation with each other, I've noticed it the past few chapters and it feels very 'Morgan Freeman doing a narrator voice over' and I'm here for it. Can't wait to see what happens next! 🖤🖤

Let me tell you, when I first began writing this chapter, I just completely free-balled it, I had no clue what was going to happen. I began writing the first couple of paragraphs, when it hit me. This story should totally revolve around Eddie's session AH- I felt like a fucking genius!

I honestly loved that added detail of him just observing. When I write I feel the need to just insert the most meaningless details, but I think it does a good job with just setting the mood around the story. If anyone is every struggling with writing, truthfully, adding specific details can really help!

And the little thumbs up 😭 everyone needs a little thumbs up from Eddie Munson! Especially after that sick interaction with her father, ugh 🤮

Our Chrissy Cunningham redemption arc has been completed! 🩷 I loved how sweet her character was in the show, and I definitely wanted to stick by that, but of course, I wanted to emulate a changing relationship between her and Jason, one where the other person is just someone who's not who they used to be. And given that it's implied that her mother is taking quite some control over her life, I really wanted to be able give her the opportunity to do what she wanted.

And we loved their little "girl talk" with a clueless Dustin.

And I love the idea of Reader meeting Wayne. Especially since we already got extremely intimate moments in her bedroom, I can definitely add some raw moments in his house.

And I think I've said this before, but I FUCKING RAGE OVER USING CHARACTER'S FULL NAME!!!!! Makes me feel like an actual fucking author with merit, lol. And I'm falling onto my knees knowing you get that feeling, too, and you noticed it in the first place! 😩
