finally finally doing the wyll romance and. idk man. i still love the guy but. i miss early-access wyll so much dude. he was my fave from the moment i met him. and no other character was reworked so entirely between EA and the full release. EA wyll had a personal revenge arc going on, and you couldn’t quite trust what his actual moral compass was underneath the persona of the blade of frontiers. The blade was very much a character he was playing. But in the full release that’s just. who he is. He IS the hero, he IS the disney prince. I’d have liked to see where they would have taken his original story.

#i wish they’d like. release their outline for his original story.#just like. hey this is what we’d originally planned. this is what we would have done post-act 1.#if i had to guess #i’d say it was going to be a sort of… living up to family expectations storyline.#his dad was a grand duke and he was supposed to inherit that but maybe didn’t want to or didn’t feel able to #or maybe ulder MADE him feel like he wasn’t able to #so in his desperation to try to prove himself as capable on his own terms (not just as someone born into nobility)#he became the blade of frontiers. and made his pact with Mizora. ironically tying his success to someone else’s power AGAIN.#so i’d IMAGINE that his arc would be like. about the real wyll learning to step out from behind the blade of frontiers.#to become his own person
