Bond knew he (more than) sometimes drew M (Mansfield) to despair. After the whole embassy incident - (something she happily dredged up when he’d done something particularly stupid on mission) - Bond would often be placed on on protection detail for his section chief when on home soil, which led to him often encountering the MI5 section chief, Harry Pierce. To say the two section chiefs had an interesting relationship was somewhat of an understatement.

He would therefore find it amusing years later, when Kaley (sometimes Wes) would be put in the same position by the head of the ARC, James Lester, when he was required to attend security briefings due to the nature of the ARC’s work. The fact that both of the Double O’s children held the relevant security clearance to act as such made their disgruntled reactions to the detail all the more entertaining. So much so that, if the Double O got wind of one of his charges joining the disgruntled Lester; he would volunteer himself for the protection detail just to observe them and share any amusing anecdotes with Q and Alec upon his return.

Helen Cutter is the only failed mission for the ARC, MI5 & the SIS (MI6). Upon her return to the present (2010/11) - James Lester, Harry Pierce and Olivia Mansfield put plans in place within their agencies to enable a (covert) joint operation to capture Helen.

Years later, members of each section (dept) - including Wes Carter, Kaley Bond, Hunter Niall (001), Alec Travelyan (006) and James Bond (007) - are enlisted into the joint operation when the ARC learns Helen Cutter is still alive despite testimonials to her death.

( aka. Helen cheats death again & becomes public enemy number one… again )

Following the death of his grandparents, Wes was placed in the care of an MI6 Agent, James Bond, who had a daughter younger than Wes. Kaley and Wes had met a couple of times before but - due to their age gap - hadn’t interacted much. Bond becomes Wes’ legal guardian a few months later (partly because it was safer for the teen than in civilian placement) and Wes finds himself growing into an older brother role toward Kaley.

{ Wes and Kaley had both expressed wishes for a sibling growing up - and it appeared that both of their wishes came true when the son of the former 001 joined the family of 007 }

After learning that Kaley was recruited to the Anomaly Research Centre (A.R.C) while still in university, and that another child of a fellow double oh also works there; Bond low-key blackmails James Lester (the man in charge) into granting him security clearance to know what the A.R.C. does and what goes on there. No one is quite sure what kind of blackmail was used to obtain said clearance - only that it had something to do with the previous M, Olivia Mansfield (with whom Lester often clashed with during intelligence committee meetings) .
