I love reading about Dick and Tim's interactions because they tease each other in the funniest ways but there's almost an overwhelming undercurrent of affection in each of their voices. They're adorable.

Twas the Saturday before Christmas(an update):

- My first foray into management, as a newly minted supply chain manager and (soon to be) highly indebted MBA student is a trip. Great people, but upper management did a poor planning job in rolling out SAP right before the start of one of the busiest parts of the production season, allowing for a crash course in its intricacies for its long term employees and the expectation that I will be a pro in 2-3 weeks.

Yeah.

Anyhow, so many cultures and opportunities for yours truly. I'm just a bit tired.

- Oh, and because I'm completely dumb, I'm also finishing up my last weekend shifts at Cosmo, starting tonight. Why? We need a new fence, that's why...

- Speaking of fences(for our ersatz dog), does Cabo or does he not look like Spike, Snoopy's slightly off brother who lives in the desert with coyotes(and to me has the appearance of the guy from Juarez, Mexico who used to repair our squid seines; He lived in a RV that smelled like painfully hot chilies, and who would be 3 sheets to the wind by noon on fridays with a net repair needle in one hand, a joint hanging out of his mouth, and singing Ranchero music like some 3rd rate baladeer...he was a treasure!). Btw, if you don't know Spike:

- I'm off to Oly for last minute gifts for H and Henry when I'd much rather be napping. But 3 days without SAP is the choice for me. I almost quilted into a teams call this morning, but you know what?

Happy festivus, to all who may celebrate. Tonight, H's son, daughter in law, and their kids are coming over for feasting, gifts, and probably light hearted airing of grievances- mostly about H's ex-husband. And today's feat of strength? Spatchcocking a turkey...

1 maroon & olive

i chose 2 colors because i do what i want. red is commonly associated with like... death murder killing blood danger. so i chose a more dark & muted maroon to reflect his more... low-key? apathetic? idgaf nature while still acknowledging his violent tendencies. i wanted it to sort of be the color of dried blood? i thought other red-associated feelings like love, passion (insert children's hospital color theory post here) also fit since he is constantly bagging hoes with his nonchalant & unsettling & creepy swag. olive is much of the same, as a muted & frankly sort of grimy green color. olive is also very much associated with the military and while happy smiler certainly is no bootlicker he's definitely very militant

2 desert mistletoe

for both flora and fauna i wanted to choose something that was native to the american southeast. mistletoe is a very stereotypical christmas/joyful/romantic plant and i thought the irony was funny given happy smiler's whole deadpan-ness. but also hints at normal person under bulletproof vest shell. the fact that mistletoe is a parasitic plant also had a lot to do with it... happy smiler is a very opportunistic guy and will do pretty much anything to make sure that he is the one who knocks comes out the fortunate party. including riding someone else's coattails for a bit. parasite yup. and also desert mistletoe is a very cool and appetizing plant.

3 vulture

specifically a turkey vulture. they're the only vultures native fully to the american southeast and also i like their cool heads. vultures are awesome btw kind of a tangent but they rule. anyway sort of related to the mistletoe; vultures are scavengers. they're huge and imposing with their large wingspan and spooky black feathers and bald heads. but at the end of the day they feed almost exclusively on carrion. that's not to say they're pacifists... they're just happy to not give themselves extra work by eating things that are already dead. do you get it. happy smiler may seem like a guy who loves to killing but he's really not. maybe he wants to seem that way maybe he'd like to be brutal and maim and kill but he's not like that. he likes to seem scary because it steers obvious trouble away from him and makes him feel cool and tough. do u get it

4 cleaver

okay this one requires some happy smiler lore; he was born near klamath where his family hunted geckos for a living & sold their meat and hide and they used the simple lowly cleaver to kill butcher & skin said geckos. so partly i chose cleaver because of that but ALSO it's a pretty versatile thing. in the game it's obviously a melee weapon but also a cleaver can be used in the kitchen for anything from splitting bone and meat to crushing garlic or chopping vegetables. he's good at cooking (metagaming fact i gave him decently high survival skill solely so i could reap the benefits of dine and dash perk) so that's sort of an extra layer.

5 'till my head falls off - tmbg

i'm gonna keep it 100. i had no idea what song to do for him. i toiled over it for actual days. i think what i settled on is a pretty decent pick, though- references his persistence, substance abuse, forgetfulness... and who could forget the head trauma evident in the very title of the song. i've long associated this song with "general vague courier 6 feelings" so it fits pretty well for him... also it's one of my favorite tmbg songs :D so that's a plus. to be honest i don't really listen to many bands that i'd describe as "happy smiler music" so that's probably why this was so hard for me. lol

6 resentment

this one was also pretty hard. though admittedly not as difficult as the song. most of the time i think happy smiler doles out general feelings of apathy and idgaf-ness but that's sort of boring. i imagine for the first leg of his journey (the "finding benny" part) he was fueled entirely by feelings of rage & vengefulness, which tbf is to be expected from a dude who was shot in the head (twice). i think he resents that checked-suited cunt so much because he fucked with basically the one thing that happy smiler gives any of a shit about (at least at the beginning): himself. and i thought the lighter would be a good symbol for his hatred towards benny- it being pretty much the last thing he saw, the only concrete evidence of The Shootening even occuring until he gets to the strip, and the inherently destructive nature of fire. or whatever. happy smiler gaslights himself into thinking he's winning the idgaf war but at the core of his being he was never even a player. i guess you could say the game was rigged from th(gets sniped)

Hey y'all. It's 7pm here in France and I'm doing an update on my diet. Today went well, I had pe so I could've done a lot of steps in. Extended my fast cause I was running late this morning. My PE teacher is mad at me cause apparently I'm "never happy" ? Like bro, I'm always quiet, I do my job and I'm not bothering you leave me alone ? All of that because I'm not sharing what's wrong with him, I'm not even talking to my own mother and you are expecting me to talk to a random ? Fck you bitch, stay mad. Anyways, that's what I ate and did :

Cal limit : 500cals

Breakfast: nothing

Lunch : omelette (95cals) + eggplant (93cals) + ketchup (10cals)

Diner : two slices of turkey breast (82cals) + corn (80cals) + carrots (32cals) + maggi sauce (2cals)

Total : 394cals (and a little bit more cause I ate some fruits)

after so many months, I've managed to eat only 767kcals. And i feel so happy, so proud of myself, after all this time...! last time i had eaten this little was september.

Everyone will start asking how did i lose so much weight in so little time, and I'll simply say: yk, stress, i had tough times with the school schedule lol, i guess i feel less appetite! (LMAO AND THEY WILL BELIEVE IT!), while the answer should be; i am so ill that i decided to become skxxxy skeleton so that you'll all appreciate me not just because of my intelligence but also for my appearance.

Happy Turkey Day/Thanksgiving to all of my beautiful American and Puerto Rican followers! To celebrate the occasion and the fall season I drew Tree Dad aka Millennial Tree Cookie! I used his official Ovenbreak art as a reference for my color palette, and I think he turned out great!

And also, this ties in to the fact that he got a magic candy, a pet; and a trial- but I decided to draw him simply observing a butterfly that has chosen to fly into his personal space. And he doesn’t mind!

Kardeşlerim Ep 72

Gunul ran away and didn't help Sengul. Akif saw her and then heard Sengul screaming. He found her and called Orhan. Berk got them to the hospital. He really did his best to get Sengul to the hospital as fast as possible. He called Sengul “Sengul annecim” which means "mom" and Sengul told him not to call her that 😂 Ayla didn't let Berk stay at the hospital but he really wanted to stay and see the baby. Later, Aybike send a message to Berk telling him that her brother was fine and thanked him for everything.

Berk was so happy. Ayla came to his room and saw how happy he was. She asked him why he was smiling and he said that he watched a funny cat video. Ayla didn't believe him and basically snatched his phone from his hand. Ayla saw that it was a message from Aybike. Ayla complained as usual and was pissed that Berk defended Aybike. When Ayla was leaving she said: "I am going to show you and your girlfriend". What I understood from this scene is that Ayla is going to do something to Aybike soon. I say we strap in and brace ourselves for the storm 🙄

This sudden opposition from Ayla and Sengul is going to lead to something drastic in the end. Btw, did you notice that Berk has a new room. Did they move again??? Damn they are really rich, they change houses like outfits.

I love the “less talk, more party” stickers on the wall. You can also see the weights by the window  😂 and they always put a guitar in Berk’s room, I am not sure if it’s for decoration purposes or if Berk plays the guitar.

The next day at school, Aybike showed Berk her brother's pics 🥰

Berk: “How are you sweetheart?”

Aybike: “I am good, you?”

Berk: “Also good! Come on show me those pictures”

Aybike: “Look”

Berk: “Oh, look how cute he is Aybike! Look how handsome he is”

Aybike:”He looks exactly like me when I was a baby! Mom didn’t say anything about this but I think we look the same”

Berk: “I believe it, he inherited the cute genes, look at him, he definitely inherited them ”

Aybike: “He is so cute, I didn’t want to leave him and come to school this morning”

Berk: “So when can I see him ?”

Berk: “Don’t be ridiculous? Of course I am going to buy him a gift. I mean I have to buy him a gift for our first meeting, so my brother-in-law will love me”

Aybike:”How will he know about the gift you got him when he is just a baby? Don’t worry, there is no need for a gift”

Berk:”He will know, he will know. Come on, let’s go to the garden”

And then he asked her to show him the pictures again.

Guys I am getting a strong “Ayber are going to get married soon” vibe from this episode 😆😆 Berk never called Oglucan his brother-in-law before but he called Umutcan his little brother-in-law. Also, he called Sengul "mom". Usually, the son/daughter-in-law calls their mother in law, "mom" in Turkey.

Later in the evening, Berk came to see the baby. Aybike asked Oglucan to cover for her while she showed Berk the baby.

Aybike: “There is someone precious that I would like you to meet ”

Aybike:”Here is your little brother-in-law”

Berk:”Your so cute my dear! Aybike, he really does look like you”

Aybike: “Look don’t say this to Oglucan because he’s been walking around the house since morning saying that he looked like him”

Berk:”When we grow up and get married, I think we’ll have a baby like this”

I love that he knows that they can’t get married right now because they still have to go to uni and then get a job. I expected Berk to propose to her as soon as they graduated high school tbh but I think he might just do it after all because of his mom.

Aybike:”No, I can’t imagine myself being married and with a kid”

Ayibike: “You should go or my mom will come and this will end badly”

Berk:”wait a minute, I didn’t give him my gift yet”

Aybike: “Did you get a gift for him? Berk you’re so sweet!”

Berk:”Ta-da!”

Aybike:”what did you get him?”

Berk:”remote control car ”

Aybike:”You bought a remote control car?”

Berk:”Yes, it’s the classic toy choice for boys. What? Is it not an appropriate gift?”

Aybike:”no it will be appropriate at some point in the future but now I am not sure that he even sees us. He’s a couple of days old”

Berk:”You’re right! That was an amateur behavior”

Aybike:”it’s okay”

Berk:”what should we do? You’ll play with it when you grow up”

Aybike:”Then we’ll play together when he grows up, okay?”

Berk:”exactly, we’ll play together my little brother-in-law. By the way, I am calling him brother-in-law spontaneously, because we’re close now ”

And then they heard Sengul scream at Oglucan and looking for the baby so Berk had to leave.

Btw, I am pretty sure they used a doll for this scene because of the way Melis was holding the baby.

Do you guys think that if they elope, Berk will come to her window that day and Aybike will have to leave through her window to run away with him without anyone noticing?? I feel like this window means so much to them ❤️️

Leyla saw Kadir's picture when she went to study with Asiye and Asiye explained to her and Afra everything about Kadir's accident. She told her that they weren’t able to catch the person responsible for the hit and run. Since Afra dropped her phone and cannot use it anymore, Oglucan gave her a phone he found in Sengul's closet. This is the phone that has Kadir's accident video. In the end, Afra didn't use it and gave it to Leyla since she doesn't have a phone. Leyla turned the phone on and saw the video and recognized Kadir and Susen.

In the teaser, we can see Leyla asking Susen: "So you didn't witness the accident?". Not sure if she's going to tell her that she saw the video and maybe we'll see how Leyla will die in the 2nd teaser.

Also, I can't tell if Orhan knows about Ayber but doesn't care or if he doesn't know? I think he still doesn’t know? but Berk called Sengul “mom” and he heard it. I think he knows but he’s cool with their relationship. Speaking of relationships, I think he’s going to leave Gunul soon. The way she acted this episode pissed him off and if he finds out that she left Sengul in the forest after she fell then he will definitely leave her.

Overall, I liked this episode and loved the focus on Ayber’s future 🥰
