More lore from my story/roleplay Discord server. When two or more characters perform a Marriage Bond Ritual they are connected to one another through their rune mark. The rune mark allows them to share their feelings, location, be able to speak to one another through their mind, share their abilities, and be able to create an heir.

Inspiration for these rune marks is taken from the beautiful tradition of Henna Tattoos from the middle east, India, and Egypt mainly (but is deeply rooted in other cultures). It has been used for marriage in cultures and is a fascinating process using ink made from henna plants to dye the skin. The design in the middle is more of a tribal tattoo which are normally associated with rituals, which is what the Marriage Bond is.
