What's the deal with caterpillar Johnny

I was thinking maybe it went like this, as i had been telling @coco-chip 😳

Johnny spends a day with Gyro in which he feels absolutely useless, with Gyro helping him do the most mundane tasks and doing everything for him (gyro doesn’t mind at all, but Johnny does because he feels like a burden)

So, one night in their bed once Gyro has fallen asleep, Johnny sees a wishing star and wishes upon it, asking for his legs back so that he may finally be able to do stuff for himself again

And then, the next day, johnny and gyro wake up to Johnny’s new body! but he’s a caterpillar now!! it freaks them both tf out but intrigues them more, mostly

They live life as usual but now johnny doesn’t need the extra help, so he feels more confident despite his new and weird body, while gyro is still super in love with his bf while also fascinated by this human/insect hybrid phenomenon thing (as a doctor himself)

Then, one day without warning, johnny goes into chrysalis and leaves gyro all sad because the latter thinks his bf just… died 😭😭 he can’t reason that johnny went into a cocoon because he’s like “johnny isn’t ACTUALLY a caterpillar wtf :,( he died.. and I couldn’t say goodbye TTmTT”

until a few days later, johnny emerges from the cocoon, even more beautiful than before and with.. WORKING LEGS!!!!

YAYYYY it makes gyro and johnny both cry in happiness at the fact that he’s not actually dead and that now, he’s back to normal! he’s not a caterpillar anymore and his legs are healed!

they’re just so happy together :,))) gyro wants to hold johnny and love him but Johnny gets kinda… hot… and wants to take his new body out for a spin with gyro… and do the nasty 😈 so gyro is all like bro 😳 bet 🤤

And one moment, johnny is making love with the love of his life, and in the next, he is eating him alive!!! Before he can process what’s going on, he’s already killed gyro :(( he sobs and sobs but can’t bring himself to stop eating until he is done!

He has fully gone through his metamorphosis now as some sort of praying mantis/spider hybrid thing ;-; he hates himself again

I haven't posted in a long time.

My anxiety and depression have backslid a lot in the last year. My social anxiety and agoraphobia are particularly out of control.

I have fallen out of producing fandom content, frankly because I have been too afraid to. Fandoms have become a lot more charged than they were when I was younger. I keep trying to get into new fandoms that I hope are less problematic only to stumble across the same patterns, up to and including someone being harassed and told to 'kys' repeatedly over fandom drama to the point of ending their own life.

But being isolated is hard. I haven't stopped making content I just... Stopped sharing it. I don't really know what to do, or if any followers I have here are even still active. I got back into JoJo's and expected most of the discourse to be more 'gay vs not gay' type stuff but some parts are... Really, *really* bad. Worse even than KH. And inconsistent! Censoring myself to fit some fear mongering anti's agenda seems like an anathema, so I just haven't posted anything, even the stuff I have I know isn't problematic.

To me the 'right' thing to do would be to post anyway and stand up for a censorship free Internet and community, but I'm afraid that, especially right now, I just don't have the resilience.

I guess I'm asking people more in touch with a 2024 Tumblr what they think. If it's even worth it. What tools there are. I've spent half the day blocking hate in a tag and trying not to panic about it. As an actual abuse survivor, seeing some of these accusations fly over such inane things is just... Disheartening. Especially knowing my abusers will never be prosecuted, but I'm getting accused of those crimes by trying to cope through artistic expression.

Also if there is anyone interested in some of the 'problematic' ships I've tagged, please give me a ring. I might try finishing and posting some stuff after all of it will actually make people happy. But after seeing witch hunt posts calling for people to haze or blacklist certain crators? It's just... Really scary.

But I'm so tired of being alone.

the ground was hard and cold, not even something the bedroll and three blankets under him could hide. they were trying, though. the three other blankets on top of him were working hard as well.

“yeah, i’m good,” johnny replied, also turning his head towards gyro, “my feet feel a little cold, though.”

“oh!” gyro started, “you wanna wear another pair? i have a few more.”

gyro was being so genuine, and way too nice considering johnny was just being an asshole. johnny almost considered accepting the socks, just because he felt bad. instead he just looked at gyro. blank expression, waiting for the joke to set in. after a few silent moments, johnny saw the whites of gyros eyes shine a bit in the dark as he opened them wider in realization.

“you asshat,” gyro shifted deeper into his blankets, “i didn’t want to get you socks anyways,"
