Only stirring him to see how much he could tease him now in response — what buttons he could push to get even more out of him.

The sage began leaning closer, invading Macaque's personal bubble JUST enough. Though he was mindful for now not to get too close or touch him — he wanted to tease him sure, but there was still those personal boundaries he kept in mind for now. Their relationship was still very rocky right now and he didn't want to do anything to push that divide that was already there.

* Listen he already has seen all TYPES of affection! From his wife! And well the couples from those tv shows and his duck operas! (……he’s depressed leave the poor man alone-) but….nomming is definitely new.

* First time you did it, he legit screamed before realizing it was you. He’s like baby why-? You scared the shit out of me- bro thought his rubber ducks came to life and chose violence-

* But he soon learns that you just do it to show affection. And he learns this when he saw your face looking up at him from sheer adoration mid nom. And oh how could he say no to that precious face?❤️ he lets you do it anytime you want comfort or simply to show him how much you love him.

* So whenever you’re feeling down and you suddenly stop nomming, he’s rushing with a shitton of gifts to see if you’re ok and is ready to make you feel better.

* At this point he’s used to it and feels so loved whenever you’re around….

Alastor:

* Honestly I feel like he’s heard about nomming and had no idea what the hell it was. Until he met your ass. Now he’s wondering how he managed to get someone like you in his life-

* First time you are extremely lucky you didn’t fucking die- he barely lets people touch him unless you’re close to him. Which you are…..But you snuck up on him on this one. Lesson learned-

* He’s very confused when you explain it to him too. Like why ARE you doing this? Affection? Are you mentally ok-? He’s probably gonna need a little convincing but hey enough pestering and he’ll let you nom to your heart’s content (if it will shut you up-)

* But he ends up learning your emotional habits through noms. Sad? Your noms get less motivated and almost stops completely. Excited? You get that goofy smile on your face. Mad? Almost nomming his hand off- he makes mental notes of it.

* Safe to say, nomming actually got you closer to the radio demon. Such an odd turn of events!

Husk:

* He’s heard of nomming. Probably from some random person at the bar mentioned it. He finds it….well a weird ass conversation starter. But when he mentioned it to you and that he didn’t get it, you gladly showed him!

* And first time was definitely fucking hilarious. He let you nom his shoulder….and in return you got cat hair in your mouth for being a little too overzealous. Shit had Husk laughing for a hot minute-

* But overtime you were more careful and nommed places that were covered or with less hair. And overtime….he actually kinda enjoys it. Very chill about it. You could nom him mid conversation and he’d still just just talk like nothing happened-

* Though the moment you slow down because you feel sad? BOOM. Le kitty actually noms you! Which is probably shocking considering Husk’s grumpy ass. It was so cute, you forgot why you was upset-

* Talk about a happy win-win situation!!!

Angel Dust:

* Imma be straightforward…..he thought it was a sex thing. And hard to blame him. I mean the shit he’s seen and experienced? Nomming sounds too fucking innocent to not be horny-

* Buuuut first time you did it, he was completely caught off guard when you just suddenly lunged at his free hand. And yet….huh. It wasn’t TOO bad. He didn’t expect it to be gentle. He’s definitely gonna make a dirty joke about you being kinky-

I got a wild hair and decided to try to draw out the image in my head of this fakemon. Keyword, 'try'.

Everyone meet- Fibbit, the frogfish pokemon. A pure water type, I'm imaging likely a starter of some sort. Their pattern and color mimics another, poisonous species, but Fibbit aren't poisonous themselves. Their small, downwards-turned mouths give the impression that they're always sad or grumpy, but in fact they tend to be quite cheerful and affectionate- their faces just look like that.

I imagine the shiny is a deep red with white patterning.

would i rather plot first or jump right in and see where it goes?: develop their relationship first | jump right in | something in between ( AHH, hello, hello, eulalie! how nice it is to see you :) thank you very much for sending me one of these prompts, my friend!! i always get so thrilled whenever someone is interested in potentially shipping with me tbh. but anyhow... whenever it comes to shipping, i usually sort - of like to do a blend of plotting and jumping into things, so you + others may notice a pattern in this aspect haha. let me just say to start that i believe maybe discussing the dynamic between thana and barton further / getting more of an idea of what kind of ship we'd both like to see in them in would probably help us in the long run to drop things + make the most out of our interactions so that's part of why i chose this option (: though yeah, you may notice that i selected some maybe's (in italics) and some things i could definitely see between them (in bold). and i guess i got kind of inspired by just,, thinking about how they might successfully become a ship in the first place, because i know that you were talking about how you believe thana could match barton's freak (and i love that for them LOL), but the fake relationship / dating thing is MMM. it's really speaking to me right now personally but i would loveee something forced proximity between them too and/or slow-burn is always good. and i was thinking, but of course this is just an idea and nothing is set in stone, that if you wanted to go the fake relationship route... it could be because either barton's ex 'doesn't understand that it's over between them' as he'd probably say so he tells them that he's already got somebody new and that is actually... thana, his friend, who is pretending to be his partner or vice versa. so yeah. that's just my two cents on that, though. i also could sort of imagine a firstly unrequited love on barton's side [like, barton liking thana, but them not liking him back] that might later develop into them liking them back but once again... these are just ideas that i'm throwing out there.)

anything else i want you to know about me / my character / my shipping habits: ( okay, let's goooo / j lmaooo i kid, i kid! but first thing i wanna highlight here is that, i'm not sure if i mentioned this in the convo's that we've had already, but whenever barton falls for someone... he falls really hard and i'm talking about 'love as consumption' hard 💀 so, although barton would never EVER want to do anything to make someone feel like they have to be in a relationship with him, he may seem just a little bit clingy / possibly more physically affectionate than usual [not in a creepy way, though. i mean that he'd probably just be looking for excuses to like touch their shoulder maybe or might actually try asking thana if he could hug them, which is actually SUPER rare for him] with thana. and this isn't really either a good thing or a bad thing so much as it is something that just exists. though, the whole 'love as consumption' thing where he wants to crawl into his loved one's skin is definitely leaning more on the bad side of things because it is an unhealthy way to love someone, to say the least JSJSJ though barton certainly isn't the pinnacle of health or anything so he probably wouldn't even care if someone pointed this out to him ngl lmaooo.

but yeah, i just thought i'd bring that up and also, concerning what you wrote about thana taking time to open up to someone... it may not seem like it BUT barton is very much willing to be patient in regards to this. because i mean, he has conflicts with navigating his emotions himself, so i feel like he could kind of understand where they're coming from with this — you know? because being vulnerable is opening yourself up to rejection and such at the same time as it being freeing / allowing you to build up trust in your relationships. so, i assure you that no matter what kind of potential ship they could have, that barton wouldn't be an arsehole to them in this way or in any way if he could help it.

the man treats his romantic partners rather well most of the time, after all, because like i said; they are someone that barton may admittedly be a bit unhealthily attached to ahahhh. but i'm sure they'd get along just splendidly especially if thana themselves are a participant of the 'love as consumption' trope. though i think that's all i have to say regarding his character itself for now! i'll give you a little brief overview of my shipping habits, though, now because i feel like it might be important. i am pretty flexible whenever it comes to ships so if there was something that you had in mind for them that is or isn't on here, but i didn't bold / italicize for some reason, then i totally encourage you to let me know! and absolutely tell me your thoughts about my answers if you'd like in IM's or on disc if you'd like.

Than again, it was probably hard for the boar yaoguai to cook with him clinging to him. He couldn't help it though — Pigsy was nice to cuddle into and hug close. Plus, he was feeling affectionate right now and he rarely got to be with the grumpy cook.

Pressing closer into him with a soft pout decorating his face, protesting in letting go right now. Matching the grumpiness with his own brand of stubbornness. Besides, its not like his display of affection had effected the other's cooking prowess — even with the clingy monkey on his back, the chef had not missed a beat when it came to prepping and cooking. It was honestly a treat to watch him work, his golden hues watching each and every movement without fail.

Reward Seeking Retrieval

Summary: Livia comes to Rita bearing important information. She knows she’ll be compensated for her work, but it’s Rita’s affection she’s really after.

A/N: I used an altered version of the dialogue prompt provided because I didn’t like how the sentence flowed.

Rita paced outside of the Daily Prophet's office building, heels clicking with a fury, conveying her mounting anger. She pulled back her sleeve to glance at her watch. Late. She shouldn’t be this late. Then, as if summoned, Livia revealed herself, briefly stepping out from the shadows of the alley beside the building long enough to tug on Rita's arm and bring her into the small space.

"You’re late," Rita scolded, an agitated breath huffing out, close enough that Livia could smell the scent of the bubblegum that Rita had only recently spit out.

"I have what you need," Livia replied, choosing to ignore Rita's irritation with her. She felt confident it wouldn’t last.

"Really? All of it," Rita asked, skeptical, as her eyes searched Livia's for a sign of either truth or dishonesty.

Livia smirked. "Have you ever known me to let you down?" Livia then proceeded to pull the documents that Rita had been vying for out of her bag, the evidence she needed to out some high status wizard for the fraud he was.

Rita surged toward Livia, traversing the mere foot between them and smacking a red lipsticked kiss to her cheek as she took the envelope from her hand. "Marvelous girl," she exclaimed. Her face lit up with a smile as she looked from the envelope to Livia, flashing her informant a wink.

"You’re going to have to stop smiling at me like that. No telling what will happen."

Rita tutted. "I’ve an article to write. An exposé, if you will. All that will have to wait, but you’ve more than earned your keep." She then leant forward again, closing the small distance with a soft and distracted peck on the lips. It was much less than Livia would have liked, but she could wait. She’d wait forever for Rita.

"Darlin'?" Beckett echoed, glancing up from his cigarette. He tried to remember what all he'd said to her just a second ago: We'll pack up and head out soon, darlin'. Right? Surely he'd used that nickname for her before. And he didn't want her to feel any less special, so he left out this last bit, but it was a term of endearment that a lot of people in the south—where he hailed from—used.

She should know that, right? That people down there called each other darlin' and sugar and baby and sweet potato even if they just met. Maybe she did, though, and she didn't care otherwise. Maybe they both knew there was a difference between the way Beckett said it and the way a kind stranger might have said it someplace else.

"Well, I feel special."

┊ ┊ ┊ ┊ ☪︎ . *. ⋆ AT HER WORDS, a breathy giggle was passed between flushed lips , dilated eyes rolling back towards the ceiling. for a couple times that day , he had asked himself if it was a good idea to get high during this date. it was mostly because he was worried that his mom would be able to tell , but after busting in on them a couple minutes ago to tell them that she got called into work , he was CONFIDENT that it was a good choice. especially if it meant it was the only way to get him to utter something so ridiculous that it got nancy wheeler to smile and laugh like she just had. like an angel.

he snuggled closer to her on the bed , strong arms wrapping around her shoulders to keep her close as he NUZZLED against the side of her neck. ❝ oh , well that's good , 'cause i'm gonna be making use of the ' nancy-poo ' all summer, ❞ he teased , taking advantage of the position they were in when ALL TEN FINGERS reached to playfully tickle her sides.
