8. Game of the year? - ooohhh hmm. hollow knight again WELL i started the year with both outer wilds and majora's mask and i have not yet finished either game but absolutely loved both of them and look forward to getting back into them! that said i did also put a LOT of hours into splatoon 3 so that also gets an honorable mention

also shout out to 2 solo journaling games i absolutely loved this year, CHVLR and a lonely road both of which i found really engaging and simple and fun!!

18. A memorable meal this year? - probably that first time i made those sweet potato halloumi hashbrowns with eggs and avocado toast. i think i think it really rearranged my brain cells and made me a better person
