Wanted to make a separate post for my beloved gym <333
Tumblr media
The city council has not let me paint the whole thing pink yet because of "cultural tradition" but I hold out hope for at least some fancy stained glass windows in the futureeee.
If you're ever in the area but can't find the gym just ask a local to point you towards the Black Braviary Café. We share a building and they sponsor matches sometimes. Their tea and cakes are really good.

Mythic Creatures by Culture & Region
Part 3: Europe (Basque, Rome, Viking, Great Britain)
This list documents mythological and folkloric creatures of Ancient Europe, the British Isles and Scandinavia as found on Wikipedia.
European creatures from Eastern Europe, France, Germany, Italy, Greece etc. will be listed in a separate post. The same goes for Biblical creatures or creatures from Abrahamic religions and Goetia literature. The full list of creatures is here.
Basque
Basque people live in what is today northern Spain. Their language is the only surviving language in Europe that isn't part of the Indo-European family tree, likely because the Basques live in secluded mountain areas. I have listed some deities alongside creatures, but this is a full list of Wikipedia's Basque creatures, not a full list of Wikipedia's gods/goddesses/deities for Basque culture.

Note: Although most European lore is easily implemented into art and fiction without causing lasting cultural damage, there may be some European cultures (from Basque to Welsh) whose cultures have been subject to cultural suppression. The Bridge of Magic Trilogy by Robert E. Balsley Jr. Genre: Fantasy
A young woman embarks on a harrowing journey to save her world's last vestige of magical healing in Robert E. Balsley Jr.'s epic new fantasy novel, The Salvation of Innocence.
The Salvation of Innocence Althaya, the goddess of healing, wishes to share her ability to help those in need, providing "empaths," which give clerics the means to magically heal others-a means that some people fear and wish to destroy. In response, a dark magic known as the Purge is created to seek out and eradicate all empaths.
The Struggle For Innocence In this suspenseful sequel to The Salvation of Innocence, the war against evil rages on. This time good must fight on two fronts to stop a great evil-one strong enough to commit genocide-or their world will be changed forever. After barely escaping death at the hands of the vampire Lukas, Emmy still faces an even greater threat. The Purge is approaching.
The Loss of Innocence War has come to InnisRos! The Ak-Séregon Stone, stolen by the demon Nightshade, has been used to force open a corridor between Aster and the Svartalfheim, the home world of the Dark Elves. The Dark Elf army, led by Nightshade's father, Aikanáro, marches on InnisRos. Only Father Goram and his allies, with Queen Lessien's army, can close down the corridor and break the stranglehold the Dark Elves have on the island of the Elves of Light.

LAL MOHAN/ GULAB JAMUN What's life without "gorma goram lal mohan" ? My craze over desserts are still strong. Life is short and worthless without sweets. 😉 So, eat sweets to have a sweet life. Honestly, speaking I never ever thought that some day I have to prepare my favourite desserts at home. I have seen my parents, grandparents, uncles and aunts buying desserts from sweet shops and never tried preparing some particular kinds of #desserts like #roshogulla #pera #gulabjamun #kalakand #kajubarfi and so on at home. But days have arrived that we have to prepare our favourite sweets and snacks by ourselves. It's not just because of #coronavirusoutbreak⚠️ but this has started long time ago especially because of maintaining #hygiene and #chemicalfreelifestyle . It was not that easy for all thus #streetfood still existed but now people are having enough time to learn and prepare things. So, we can see so many posts on those food prepared at home that we had only had in restaurants. Thanks to the #foodchannels #foodvlogs #foodvideos #chefs and to everyone who help us preparing our favourite food items. 🤗 This is my 1st try to prepare #lalmohan or #gulabjamun or whatever name it is called as and it came out to be #luscious . I have prepared it from #scratch watching #banglarannaghor . . . #delhifoodie #foodfoodfood #nikonphotography #foodphotography #loveforfood #foodiesofindia #bloggerofassam #indianfoodbloggers #desistyle #homemadefood #quarantinecooking #livingfoodz (at Delhi, India) https://www.instagram.com/p/B_cehvGA8P1/?igshid=1xbw61tqwqpas

Andy Goram and his bizarre spell with Manchester United
Andy Goram and his bizarre spell with Manchester United

[ad_1]
We will never know how close the 35-year-old Andy Lonergan came to making his Premier League bow, but Liverpool’s acquisition of the journeyman goalkeeper captures the unorthodox side of one’s imagination. Andy Goram to Manchester United, anyone?
April 14th, 2001. The Old Trafford tunnel, post-match. It has ended Manchester United 4-2 Coventry City.

Here's some pics specifically of Zenger city!
(nabbed from tourism sites because my photography skills are still not the best '^^)
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
It's a really cool place and I'm honored to be the city's representative on a national level.
I wasn't actually born here, but I did attend here for school most of my life so I have many fond memories.
Hello! How are you? What's goram like, I've never heard of it, please tell me about it !
Hi! I'm doing well, and thx for asking
Goram is a preeeeetty small region (like, only barely bigger than Alola) located far east of Kalos.
We don't really have a lot of stuff to boast about besides scientific advancements and really pretty landscapes; But we're pretty well known for our hot springs (looots of freshwater here, practically for dirt cheap) and for making really good wine.
Most of the region is plains or forests but what few mountain ranges we have are awesome imo
Ecologically it's largely temperate corniferous or mixed forests with freshwater rivers and large swaths of agricultural land separating subregions
I'll try posting a list/map of the types and 'mons most commonly found later. Obviously there's an abundance of grass and normal types, but there's a wayyyy smaller amount of the pokemon that specifically adapted to extreme climates because of the temperature changing a LOT over the year (I'm talking -15° to +35° C).
Random pictures from my camera roll below

Safe to say our routes are awesome, if a "little" lacking on the maintenance front.
I'll post stuff about my gym later too ;3

The Super Bowl 🏟 is finally here but it’s just another day for your dog. If you’re having a party at home, remember that it’s your dogs home first so make them feel comfortable too. . Guest are a break from the normal routine, some dogs may view some as guest and others as a threat. It can be difficult for a young, inexperienced dog to handle a crowd of people if they’ve never seen it and just as important how your guest responds to your dog, even though this is your dogs home. . Here’s what you should know, if you can’t get a dog sitter, find a boarding facility or a friends house to go visit for the day then: . 1. Keep the food and drinks away from your pets. Aside from possible health risk you shouldn’t allow your dog to begin wanting or eating such foods in the first place. . 2. Keep a collar and tags on your dog in case one of your guest forgets and leaves a gate or door open and your pet wanders out. . 3. If your dog is having too good of a time, take your dog to an empty room and place your dog there to cool out. This works well with dogs that have been crate trained. . Super Bowl party and your dog is going to be a part of it, shoot me a picture in a DM and I’ll post it. . #superbowl #football #dogsofinstagram #dogstagram #dog #dogs #puppies #instadog #instagood #randysdonuts #larams #gorams #pets #family #bbq #bulldog #frenchbulldog #pitbull #nfl #patriots #newengland #losangeles (at Los Angeles Stadium at Hollywood Park) https://www.instagram.com/p/Btb0JJ8H9it/?utm_source=ig_tumblr_share&igshid=fczezocpuc7y

Hello potential frands!
Alright, I'm trying out a long term partner experiment so let's see what happens I guess!  The basic stuff:
Name: Alex(andra) Age: 26 next month Timezone: Central / CST
About Me:  You can find my unfortunately long-winded about me page here! http://xaishi-rp.tumblr.com/about  The rest of the blog is still a giant messy WIP though.  And as a TL;DR since I can't keep anything brief for the life of me:
I write in third-person / past tense / paragraph format
I prefer 2-5 para quickie posts and can go much longer for relevant scenes
I can match any post length and usually mirror my partner's
I'm a huge romance sucker so I'd really like it included (but as a secondary plot, not the main or sole plot)
Violence, gore, and vulgarity are all A-okay
Kind of a big stickler about good writing T~T
Fandoms or Originals: Open to both, but generally prefer original RPs.
What I’m Looking For: Friends!  Specifically, people who like to become actual friends with their RP partners and enjoy chatting about everything and anything, not just the RP itself.
I've been really wanting to RP lately, but my problem is that it hasn't been a specific RP craving so much as specifically wanting to find a partner (or partners) that I mesh well with.  If I can manage that, then I'd be up for all kinds of things to RP for the rest of ever.  I just really miss the experience of RPing with good friends rather than near-strangers I go to for a writing fix.  If you write well and we get along great, I'll be your best goram friend for years!  I'll probably draw you stuff too.
So, I'm hoping to find people who have similar RP interests who also want to get to know one another first instead of immediately rushing to jump into an RP.  Maybe we can send RP samples and if we like what we see, we can go from there?
Contact: I vastly prefer chatting over IMs and have all the big ones as far as I know.  Here's the main three:
Skype - Slashagasaurus Discord - Cheekuns#8670 Kik - Asjure
And my email's [email protected] for those who don't use any of the above.  I guess there's also Tumblr messages, but I haven't really used that before so I might miss those?

Is anyone else getting the feeling that this whole situation makes no goram sense? Not just that these changes happened, but how late in the game they happened.
I just realized that Kosmo was never shown teleporting on the Castle of Lions, when he was shown at all. He was a late edition to Season 6. Maybe he was supposed to be a normal cosmic wolf (if he was supposed to exist at all), and when they decided to give him Shiro’s fancy teleporting abilities they went back & re-edited his scenes before he arrived on the Castle with Keith & Krolia. And the episodes of Season 7 that were meant to showcase Shiro’s new abilities were so hastily re-edited & re-organized, Shiro is barely present. Even when he’s shown in the prison, he never speaks. But my point of these rambled thoughts is this:
If Joaquim and Lauren decided to give Shiro awesome teleporting abilities, then nixed the idea to give them to Kosmo, wouldn’t those changes have been made BEFORE the episodes went into production? This is why the animation industry invented storyboarding, and pitch meetings, and story meetings! Any sensible person would’ve either made these decisions before giving the animators the scenes to block and the actors their scripts to read, or would say “Darn, that would’ve been cool” and talk about the idea in a post-show interview or something.
And I know the easy answer is “Well, Joaquim and Lauren AREN’T sensible. Did you miss the whole Adam-Curtis disaster, or the clusterfuck that is Allura & Lotor’s fates?” But there’s one detail everyone keeps forgetting.
Dreamworks doesn’t own Voltron.
Yes, they PRODUCED Voltron, and they licensed plenty of Voltron merchandise (some of which being annoying mislabeled, either throwing LD on a DOTU figure or the DOTU subtitle on an LD poster, but whatevs).
But Voltron is not a Dreamworks baby. It’s a World Events baby that Dreamworks got to foster for a few years. Even the official Voltron website gives the trademark to World Events.
What does any of this have to do with anything?
Well, since Dreamworks doesn’t technically own Voltron, they still had to ask World Events for permission to do certain things or tell certain stories. Or when Dreamworks initially purchased the rights to make a new Voltron show, World Events threw in a caveat that said they could have final say on what got produced.
So maybe Joaquim, Lauren, Dreamworks, and Netflix were completely on board with Shiro being a magical teleporting Space Dad with an awesome Earth Dad he was finally going to reunite with in Season 7. But for whatever reason, World Events said no halfway through production of Seasons 6 & 7, and Joaquim & Lauren were left with egg on their faces as they had to go back & cut everything World Events disapproved of, being stuck Photoshopping Shiro into scenes where he hadn’t been before, commissioning new scenes of Kosmo teleporting while he, Keith & Krolia were on the Space whales, etc.
I know that sounds like a lot of bullshit, but similar things have happened with other IPs in animation. Not to such a disastrous level, but the DC shows are no strangers to this sort of nonsense.
When Teen Titans came out in the early 2000s, Robin couldn’t be in any other DC shows at the time because of copyright issues. Which is why Tim Drake never appeared in Justice League or Justice League Unlimited, and why Dick Grayson didn’t debut on The Batman until Season 4 (which went into production after Teen Titans ended its 5-season run). And when The Batman started to air with its interpretations of Batman’s Rogues’ Gallery, all the Rogues they chose to feature (namely Joker) were no longer permitted to appear on Justice League or Justice League Unlimited.
I know none of that makes sense - they were all DC shows, with overlapping writers, producers, and cast members. And JL/JLU and The Batman were also Warner Brothers products. Why couldn’t they all use the same characters? And, honestly, I have no idea why this is. Maybe showrunners didn’t want to confuse audience members by having multiple interpretations of the same character on different shows. Maybe the different production companies that worked on the shows couldn’t get along.
But my point is, there may have been a lot of stuff going on behind the scenes of Voltron that led to the disasters that are Seasons 7 and 8. Blaming two people who have the misfortune of being more vocal than anyone else seems unfair when the true guilty parties could be hiding behind the non disclosure agreements.
So I just learned something
Im going to have a mental breakdown, holy shit.I read part of an article that contained the original plans for season 6/7 before Jds and Lm decided to ruin it. Shiro was this fucking close to return as Black paladin and even have a new skillset and they fucking didn’t in the last minute, and it shows
Shiro was supposed to return in season 6,not as a retired paladin but with his connection with Black stronger than ever, so strong in fact that he would have gotten some sort of teleportation powers. But he was still recovering so Keith would pilot Black in the meantime.
During the chase sequence in season 7 in those ice caves, he was originally going to be the one teleporting between the lions to help everyone out, he would get hurt while helping Pidge. Explaining why he didnt do much while they were captured by Ezor and Zethrid. They would have to get him into a pod because he was seriously injured, raising the stakes why they had to get out of their cells quickly. Once they escaped he would be put in a healing pod and then the flashbacks to the Garrison days would have happend.
Now that chase sequence with the teleporting sounds familiar right? Yea its cuz they actually kept it in but they couldn’t let Shiro have a roll so:
Tumblr media
Magical space wolf to make Keith look even cooler They actually gave Shiro’s role and potential powers to Keith’s fucking dog.Someone theorized how Kosmo might have been Shiro reincarnated, sort of. Well guess what they were 100% correct!!!
Kosmo literally did what Shiro was supossed to do. They gave Shiro’s role to Keith’s fucking dog, because everything has to be about Keith and everything Shiro has, Keith steals in some way. I mean just…….what the fuck man, they stripped the gay poc of his powers and status and gave it all to a white emo kid and his fucking dog.

Only do MxF romantic pairings
Violence, gore, and vulgarity are all A-okay
Kind of a big stickler about good writing T~T
Fandom/Original: Open to both, but generally prefer original RPs.
Looking For: Friends!
Don't Want: While I'm fairly flexible with genres / pairing scenarios, I have zero interest in RPs that exist only for smut.  I'll also pass on having two charas fall for one another if they don't actually have a reason behind their feelings.
RP Methods: Email, Skype groups, private forums, Discord, and Google Docs are all fine by me.  I haven't had the chance to use Disc or Docs for RPing though, so I might be noobish when it comes to using those.

Photoshop Quick Retouch For a “Closed Eye”
A few weeks back I got an email asking about what can be done in Photoshop if you caught your subject with one eye partially closed when you pressed the shutter. I’ve had that happen so many times over the years that I already had a fix for it. In fact, it literally only takes two-minutes if that (well, maybe three minutes the first time you try it, but after that, you’ll have it down to two-minutes flat). Here goes:
Above: Here’s our original image and her eye on the left is partially closed (it was the only one I shot that day where her eye was like this), but luckily the fix is easy because her other eye is fully open and that’s what we’ll use to do our quick retouch.
STEP ONE: Zoom in tight and use Photoshop’s Lasso tool to make a very loose selection around her open eye, as shown here. Now press Command-J (PC: Ctrl-J) to put that eye up on its own separate layer.
STEP TWO: Using the Move tool, drag the copy of her open eye over so it covers the partially closed eye (which is what I did here), but you can just leave it at that because she’d have two right eyes (and that would look weird). To fix that, press Command-T (PC: Ctrl-T) to bring up Free Transform (it puts a bounding box with handles around that copy of her eye) and then right-click anywhere inside that bounding box to bring up the pop-up menu you see here. Choose Flip Horizontal as shown here. Because she’s leaning over quite a bit in the image, it won’t be a perfect match to the other eye — you’re going to need to rotate the flipped copy into place, so move your cursor outside the Free Transform bounding box and your cursor changes into a two-headed arrow cursor. Click and drag in a circular motion to rotate her eye to where it looks about right (as seen here as well).
STEP THREE: To really make sure you get the eye at just the right position and angle, here’s a trick I use that works wonders. While you’re still in Free Transform, go over to the Layers panel and lower the Opacity for this layer down to around 60% or so. Now you can see through this copied eye, to the original eye’s position on the layer below it, and you’ll now be able to rotate the eye easily to the exact right amount, and then move your cursor inside the bounding box and drag the eye copy until it lines up perfectly (as seen here). Now press Return (Windows: Enter) to lock in your transformation, then raise the opacity of this layer back up to 100%. Before we move on, you can see the problem here — the shadows aren’t right, and that’s because the eye we copied was on the side of her face that was farther away from the light, and was partially in shadows. This isn’t going to be a problem, because we don’t need all that area around her eye; all we really need is the Iris and whites of the eyes to make it look open (which we’ll fix in the next step).
STEP FOUR: Hold the Option key (Windows: Alt key) and at the bottom of the Layers panel, click on the 3rd icon from the left to add a black Layer Mask over your image (its icon looks like a white rectangle with a black circle in the center). This hides the eye-copy layer behind that black mask so you can no longer see that layer, but that’s exactly what we want. We don’t want to see the whole eye copy — just the Iris and whites of the eyes. Set your Foreground color to white (if it isn’t already); choose a small soft-edged brush from up in the Brush Picker on the top left side of the Options Bar across the top, then paint over just the areas where you want to reveal the eye on the top layer. Here I pained over her eye on the left with that small soft-edged brush and it reveals just that part of the eye from the top layer. If you look closely, you can see my circular brush cursor painting on the far right side of her left eye. I’m careful not to paint in too much or it will start showing those shadows, so I’m pretty much just staying inside the eye area and not going onto the eyelashes or lids too much. We still have a problem. The catch-light in her left eye is on the wrong side.
STEP FIVE: To fix the catch lights, first we’ll create the missing one. Get the Clone Stamp tool; choose a soft-edged brush and make the size of the brush just a little larger than the white catch light in her right eye. Move your cursor over that eye; hold the Option key (Windows: Alt key) and click once to sample that white catch light. Now move over the left eye, where you catch-light should be (on the upper left side of her iris) and click once, and it clones the white catch-light from the right eye over onto the top left of her iris on the left eye. Of course, now she has two catchlights in the left eye, so we’ll need to remove the extra one so it matches the other eye.
STEP SIX: Get the Spot Healing Brush tool; make your brush size cursor just a little larger than the extra catch-light; then click once to remove the extra catch light. Easy peasy!
Above: I zoomed out here so you can see the final retouch, quick and easy. :)
Hope you found that helpful.
I was in the studio all day today… The shot you see above was from a few years back — today I was in our studio at KelbyOne HQ making new images while recording an update to one of my most-popular online courses, it’s called “10 Essential Studio Techniques Every Photographer Needs to Know.” This new course will replace the original which was recorded nearly 8 years ago. The recording session today went great, and I was really tickled to get to redo the class using today’s tools and today’s techniques, and applying some of the things I’ve learned in the past eight years. I think (well, I certainly hope) it will help a lot of photographers who want to break into shooting in the studio. I’ll let you know when it comes out — shouldn’t be too long now.
Hope you all have a fantastic SuperBowl weekend. Don’t forget, when the Patriots lose, American wins! #GoRams!
Thanks,
-Scott

Paul Gascoigne’s Scottish Football Hall of Fame nomination withdrawal
Paul Gascoigne has had his nomination to the Scottish Hall of Fame withdrawn over concerns about his health at this time.
Gazza spent three years in Scotland playing for Rangers, winning two league titles, a Scottish Cup and a Scottish League Cup.
I should point out very early on that I am a great admirer of Rangers, Scottish Football, and Paul Gascoigne is the SOLE reason I fell in love with the game.
So you can probably guess how I feel about this absolute diabolical decision to not give him this award.
Gazza made Scottish Football what it was in the 1990’s, helping Rangers win nine league titles in a row.
Of all of the players in that amazing squad, nobody had the character, talent or personality of Paul Gascoigne.
But those other members: Brian Laudrup, Ally McCoist, Walter Smith, Andy Goram. They’re on the hall of fame, why isn’t the main man?!
This is the same main man who was an inaugural member of the National Football Museum Hall of Fame.
The National Football Museum in Manchester who called him, “The most naturally gifted English midfielder of his generation.”
Shall we also mention that he is part of the Rangers Hall of Fame, where he was inducted in 2006.
By the time Gazza went to Ibrox in 1995, Scottish Football had had its big names: Terry Butcher, Ray Wilkins, Alex Ferguson.
Even since Gazza left in 1998, Scottish Football has had its big names: Henrik Larsson, Giovanni van Bronckhorst and currently Steven Gerrard.
Not one name comes anywhere near the stature of Gascoigne, who lit up Scotland with his performances on the pitch.
He was still Gazza off the pitch, breaking into Ally McCoist’s house at 3am to make a sandwich, playing the flute, etc. That was what everybody loved.
In Scotland, he individually won the Players’ Player of the Year and the Football Writers’ Player of the Year in his first season.
And while he was there he was in the team of the tournament for his England performances at Euro ’96, including THAT goal against Scotland.
Now, the matter in hand, that concerns over his health is the reason that the ultimate legend can’t be in the Scottish Hall of Fame.
Gazza’s alcoholism and mental health have been very well documented since he retired from football, which is when the problem became erratic.
He did have problems during his career, just like the beginning of his alcoholism, or assaulting of his now ex-wife Sheryl, who is one of his biggest supporters now.
But this award is the Scottish FOOTBALL Hall of Fame, only football, just the performances on the pitch for those 90 minutes, when Gazza was free from everything.
Shall we all just remind ourselves that alcoholism is a disease, not someone selfish saying “here’s an idea, let’s get trollied,” three times a week.
Alcoholism is very close to me because of Paul’s situation, and my own grandfather passing away because of it 18 months before I was born.
Nothing in the world would make me happier than seeing Gazza free, free from everything so he can just live life with no worries and be happy.
And over the last few years, people have seen a change in Gazza, fighting back against his mental health and alcoholism.
And that is down to hard work, going through hell and struggling against your own brain, not to mention red top newspapers and the tricks they played on him.
One I heard was at a night a few months ago, which I still say was the best night of my life, an evening with Paul Gascoigne and Willie Thorne.
Thorne said some newspapers would leave bottles outside Gazza’s house, wait for him to pick them up to put in the bin and there was the photo they wanted.
That night I had with Gazza in Bolton in June, it will take something very VERY special to beat that night, meeting my idol and hero.
But little things like Gazza doing those nights, going on tour, joining social media, small things like that restore the faith of the people in him.
Now Gascoigne has been through hell with those tricks, his mental health and everything else since retiring from football.
His autobiography goes deep into his mental problems and alcoholism which to this day is the only book to bring a tear to my eye.
He is brutally honest to himself in that book, and goes into his struggles as a child in Newcastle and the developments of his problems.
Ally McCoist and Vinnie Jones have already shouted and screamed their opinion, very similar to mine about the SFA, with lots of public support for both.
The fact that the Scottish FA is not allowing Gazza into the Hall of Fame due to mental illness is just... I don’t think there are words to describe it.
Did they not see all of the social media posts and news about National Mental Health Day earlier in the week, and they do this?
One of the biggest and most notable mental health cases in the country and they knock him when he’s on the turn.
And after all of that hard work and going through hell trying to fight his way back, imagine how you’d feel after being nominated for this prestigious award.
And then imagine how you’d feel if days later they said no to you because of your health, which you’d worked so hard to fight against for your whole life.
That is a huge set back to Gazza and his condition, which Vinnie Jones addressed, before saying people who work in mental health or suffer should stand up with Gazza.
On this topic, there could well be people who suffer from mental health hearing this news and taking it personally, knowing how mean the world can be if you suffer.
Gascoigne should know that he has the support of the people, as he always has done, from during his career, after and to this day.
We all know that if we step onto a pitch, life problems go away, it’s just a fact, and Gazza is no different.
Those 90 minutes he had on the pitch were an escape from everything and where he could be himself, and that’s what the SFA should be awarding.
Lastly, if I was a member of the Scottish Football Hall of Fame right now, I’d be straight on the phone telling them to take me off it.
Why would anyone wish to be associated with people who ridicule people like that and bully them, after everything he did for Scottish Football? They’re an embarrassment to Scotland.
Paul Gascoigne is the reason I fell in love with football as a child, I never saw him play but hearing his story changed my life.
I was unbelievably lucky to meet the man himself, a memory I shall keep forever, and he will always be my hero, as the case with millions of others I think.
