Hey eel people. I need help. Something is wrong with Ignis and I am at my wit's end. Has anyone ever seen shimmying/thrashing like this before???

I changed his water and filter media last week which fixed the last bout of this problem... and now it's back. His water is perfect as far as any of my tests show. Salinity 1.024. PH 8.4. Zero nitrates or nitrites or ammonia. No external signs of injury or illness beyond this behavior. Water flow and oxygenation is good. Temperature has held a steady 78F for as long as this tank has been running. His only tankmates are two emerald crabs and a tuxedo urchin which show no signs of damage.

My star polyps are looking rough too which indicates something is off but??? I can't figure it out??? Guys I cannot lose this stupid little shoelace right after losing my mom I CANNOT

Also me: oh god I need to upgrade my 1.5 inch shrimp goby from his 75 gallon (standard) tank it’s too small for him he needs more room

Bab Update 2: He has eaten! My first feeding attempt on Sunday resulted in his cleaner shrimp buddy stealing his food and freaking him out, but he overcame that fear quickly and is learning how to handle the tongs well. Right now he is on a mysis shrimp diet, enriched with a vitamin soak. I plan to slowly introduce finely chopped squid and fish into his diet; maybe I can find small enough packets of mixed marine proteins somewhere. I may offer him dinner twice a week instead of Aurin's once a week schedule, since he's a growing bab who needs his nutrients. He's much less of a camera hog than Aurin, though. While Aurin was happily diurnal, this bab strongly prefers to be out at night, so much that I usually don't see him at all during the day. Ergo, there will likely not be many good pictures of him for a while, lol. I will begin considering names now, and his name will be finalized upon his second successful feeding!

are there any other relatively small morays suitable for home aquariums other than snowflakes? was thinking of getting a snowflake but was wondering about other options ?

a snowflake would probably be your best bet. 

 zebra morays are also pretty common but they get bigger (3-4 feet i think). 

you could look into an Indian Mud Moray (also called a freshwater snowflake eel)

if money is no object, you could look at getting a Golden Dwarf Moray Eel 

They’re really pretty and only get to be about a foot long!
