My greatest fear as a romance writer is having my future publisher making me use those shitty lineless clipart covers instead of letting me hire an artist to draw one of those gorgeous covers.

#when the linless clipart covers look good they look GOOD #but most of the time they DO NOT #or worse: those badly photoshopped real people on a city background or something #im hoping theyll let me hire a painter or an actual digital artist #especially because some of my protagonists are distinctly not human #gods I hate walking in the romance aisle all the canva clipart covers are staring at me
