Spoilers for episode 23 of The Mandalorian below the cut...

It was Hux.

No, not Commandant Hux, whom we saw holo-speaking to Moff Gideon this week. I'm talking about little 5-year-old Armitage "Armie" Hux, the bastard, unwanted child of said Commandant.

Little Armie Hux infiltrated the Children of the Watch and has been reporting on their activities to his father in a bid to win his affection. How did he do it? Well, you know Paz Viszla's son? The one who spent an entire night inside a giant bird? That was Hux. Hux killed little Paz, Jr. offscreen before the bird attack and has been pretending to be him ever since (which is pretty easy when your religion requires you to never show your face). Ironically, had Bo-Katan not led a rescue mission and pulled lil' Hux out of that bird, he would not have been able to tell Daddy Hux about when the Mandalorians had headed out to Mandalore, thus making Bo-Katan once again responsible for the near total destruction of her people.

Does this theory make sense? No, but it certainly tracks with the level of logic this season has been operating on so far, and it does connect The Mandalorian to the sequel trilogy, because we just can't enjoy a series based on its own merits anymore; everything has got to be a part of one big fucking thing now. Disney + is losing money, people are getting tired of Marvel, and it's going to be years before those new Rey-led films come out, so let's franchise-ify the one thing that HAD been working on its own because we don't know how to do anything else.

Also, Hux is a spy in The Rise of Skywalker, so this establishes how he became good at spying.

Just remembering in S7 when we really got no bts of Lou/Tommy (except Lou crumbs + near the end) from the cast or crew, and yet he was still there... dating Buck, kissing Buck, showing up for Buck, being a good friend to Eddie, eating cake, getting a medal, trying to keep up, fighting a fire, flying a helicopter...

It's almost like people can choose what to show us vs. what NOT to...

I disagree that the daddy kink convo should've been replaced with a heartfelt meaningful conversation about their mutual issues with their fathers because as much as you complain that the relationship isn't developed for Buck, it isn't developed for Tommy either, and it would be a disservice to the reserved guy that Lou says that Tommy is to make him immediately open up to someone without showing the proper progression and storyline leading up to that

the kink convo worked for both characters (both are just dawgs i guess), it was very mutual, and i still don't understand the perspective that Tommy's comment came out of nowhere, i run based off of the assumption that all flirty buck convos are... flirty...????

I understand why people want this, because the acknowledgement of Buck's parental issues comes with a burning desire to have a genuine conversation about it, but something that fits his character should not come at the cost of another character.

A scene should fit to everyone involved, and at most, it should've been a kind of... maybe a conversation of buck going 'yeahh... i got issues with my dad, that's why Bobby means so much to me, he's kinda like the dad i never had.' and Tommy's response being 'Yeah, i see that... my dad sucked but i had Gerrard who sucked too, so... yeah... he's the dad i already did have lol.'

OH WAIT...

ITS ALMOST LIKE THEY DID.

this conversation should happen eventually, but when it actually has meaning. At a point where Tommy is actually going to be willing to open up a little more (since we kinda see that he is a little bit more reserved with Buck still in this season), and maybe it's in favour of servicing Buck as a character, or Tommy, or BOTH. But you cannot put a character on the line bc you pearl clutch over the fact that your 'baby' pretty boy fucks severely.

Season 8 911 feels like season 15 supernatural all over again because you knew Destiel was coming but you didn’t know when and then Cas drops the L word and gets sucked away in black goo and Dean just gets left behind but in this instance Eddie gets with his dead wife’s doppleganger and Chris moves away and he grows a pornstache and Bucks on the sidelines pining and concerned

there is something sooo fucking good about early seasons ian and mickey, about watching this summer fling turn into something more, the fear that elicited from mickey but him being unable to stop, finding those little moments hidden away and taking all this meaning from small gestures and persevering in dugouts and under bleachers and barely pressed confessions in the back of a church that is soo good for my brain

like i am very glad mickey gets to shout his love for ian from the mountain tops and also beat his love for ian into his dad's face but when he was clenching his teeth shut and his love for ian was coming out regardless ohhhhh baby i was eating
