Team RWBY had arrived in a village where there were several creatures made of crystal that resembled a star shape.
Ruby: What are those things
???: We are Genial Gems
One of these crystal series appeared next to the girls.
Weiss: What is it called and where are we?
Ren: My name is Ren and this is the Gems village
The girls looked at each other.
Until the girls' bellies started growling.
They were all ashamed.
Ren: I see you are hungry, come with me
Weiss: Thank you very much
Ren: No problem
Team RWBY started following the Ren gem, as they walked through the village they noticed something peculiar.
A statue made of stone of a knight riding Jackalope, with the sword in his left, an expression of pure HATE on your face.
Blake: Jaune?
The girls looked at the statue and were surprised to see that it was Jaune but older.
Weiss was impressed, as well as the statue being very well made, full of details. Jaune's face showed "new things" the first was that he had a cut on his right cheek, he had a goatee and his hair had grown past his neck.
Weiss: Wait.... JAUNE IS THE RUSTED KNIGHT!!!
Ruby: Ren, Can you tell where Jaune is?
Ruby completely ignored Weiss.
Ren: The knight left these lands a long time ago. He and his wife left a long time ago
The girls looked at the Ren gem.
RWBY: Wife?
Ren: Yes. A woman with pink, white and brown hair
Pink
White
Brown
There was only one person with these hair colors.
Neo
In Remmant
In a city that was growing quickly, this city was very close to become a kingdom, this city was in Vale but this city was east of the city of Vale but far east between the city of Vale there was a mountain that awaited the two cities.
Tumblr media
Both cities were on the coast, but there is a stark difference, this city called Orleans and was located in the Meuse valley region.
Orleans was founded by Agravein Arc known as Black Knight ( Particular the knight of misogyny ) before the great war.
After the monarchy ended, he came to this place that used to be just a farm but it became a refuge for those who didn't believe Councilmen would be of any use because there would be a lot of corruption.
Over time more and more people came to this place that strangely didn't attract so many Grimms.
After the destruction of Vale ( Now this shit is official hahahahahahhahahahahahahhahahahahauayayahahhahahahahahahahayayayayayahahahahahahahauuahahuahuahahhauahahauahauauauau)
Many people came here, this only happens because Michelangelo Arc, Jaune Arc's father went to the rescue of the population after learning that Councilmen ran away.
Michelangelo, as soon as he heard that Vale was attacked, was the first to leave the village and go to the aid of the people of Vale.
It was difficult to convince people to move even though Vale was destroyed, it was still their home.
But thanks to teacher Peter Port, Doctor Bartholomew Oobleck and Headmistress Glynda Goodwitch. He managed to get people to move to Orleans.
But now Orleans could already be considered a kingdom but the situation in the world doesn't "allow it" because everything is in chaos .
But........ Always a but not everything is black and white, there are shades of gray.
With the return of "communications" and after Ruby Rose's disastrous warning, Orleans was preparing for the worst faster than ever.
But (again ) a light appeared amidst the chaos.
Jaune Arc and Neo Arc
The family reunion was beautiful, there was a slap in the face, swearing for everyone, father vs son, mother vs son.
After all that, let's get to what really matters.
House of Arc
Jaune was sitting in an armchair and his wife was sitting on his lap.
His parents and sisters were on the sofa to the left of the armchair.
" So.... " Michelangelo Arc was sitting on the couch looking at his son, beside him was his wife Angelica Arc and behind the sofa were his daughters
" How they both met " Angelica Arc has already cut her husband out of the conversation.
" She tried to kill me " Jaune said with the greatest calm in the world.
The whole family was silent.
" This is a family thing " When Michelangelo said this his wife's face turned red and she slapped his arm.
" Why? " Jaune asked.
" Your mother and I were on the same team, I was a leader even though I didn't want to be but she wanted to be the leader and she tried to kill me to steal my position as leader " Michelangelo told, while Angelica was embarrassed by her past.
" My old interesting loving also wanted to be the leader of your team and she couldn't either, but she and I are not on the same team " Jaune said remembering Weiss in their first year at Beacon Academy.
" She won't say anything " Angelica asked looking at Neo.
" She is mute mother " Jaune said looking at his wife.
Neo smiled.
Letters appeared in front of both of them as if it were a caption.
It's true, I was speechless after trying to swallow the colossus he has between
Jaune and his family's eyes widened.
" NEO! " Jaune screamed in anger.
After this scene where Neo was laughing, the Arc couple's daughters noticed that the atmosphere changed.
" Jaune— " Before Michelangelo could have his question.
" Vale was completely destroyed, we already know we came from there. We took advantage of the fact that we went and picked up some things from Vale and then we went to Vacuo and picked up something very special "
Around Neo's head reality shattered like glass, revealing a golden crown with a peculiar form.
Crocea Mors the family heirloom began to disappear like smoke. Then, next to the armchair, the air began to rotate, revealing a large sword that was being hidden.
The Arc family stayed because that sword looked a lot like Crocea Mors but only bigger and the scabbard that could become a shield looked very different looked more like a blade than a sheath.
" Dad, we have a lot to talk about. I have revelations about our family "

Heya, so your meta on RWBY alluding to "The Marvelous Land of Oz" has been rotating in my head like a baked potato for the past few days and I'm all about it. One question that I've come away with though is where exactly does Theodore fit into all this? Everyone assumes he's Dorothy but obviously that wouldn't quite work given the parameters. I was wondering if you could maybe share your thoughts on Theodore and his role in the story to come. Thank you and have a pleasant day :)
there's this thing rwby does with the classic lit allusions—they did this with alice in wonderland too—where the true reference is to the original text and that is layered under an allusion to the better-known pop culture. i think the pop culture layer serves a few key purposes:
it flags the correct allusion for viewers who may not be familiar enough with the original text to recognize the allusion otherwise,
it creates opportunities for narrative sleight-of-hand, both setting up red herrings and rewarding viewers who are familiar with the original texts (<- this was part of what made V9 SO much fun for me as a Wonderland Person), and
it enriches the wider narrative themes about the power of storytelling to shape perception and the idea that truth is hard to find and things are not always what they seem by actually doing that with the key allusions.
for example: in V9, jaune presents as the white rabbit... but his white "rabbit" steed is actually a jackrabbit—i.e., a hare—and after falling backwards in time he became stuck in a metaphorical "time loop," going in circles doing the same things every day without reprieve or any real chance for escape. he lost a quarrel with time and in a sense he is being "punished" for a crime he hasn't yet committed but remembers having committed in the future—that's the hatter / hatta, not the white rabbit. (the alice in wonderland allusion also has a third layer of reference to the frank wildhorn musical, and that layer does some really neat stuff that deserves its own post.)
<- i first noticed this in V9, in part because the wonderland allusion is contained within the arc of a single volume and thus the layering is easier to spot, and in part because i'm better versed in wonderland than i am in the land of oz; but there are also—now that i know what to look for—some obvious signs that the ozian allusion is layered in the same way.
the clearest of those being glynda goodwitch. as i've mentioned before, the classic film adaptation combines glinda and the good witch of the north into a single character and thus creates the problem of why glinda didn't simply tell dorothy from the beginning that those ruby slippers could carry her home. in the book, the good witch of the north directs dorothy to travel to the emerald city to seek the wizard's help because she believes that he's a powerful wizard who will know of a way to send dorothy home. glinda—who is the witch of the south—knows that the wizard is a fraud and does not come into the story at all until dorothy seeks her out after the wizard has been revealed as a fraud and left her behind in oz.
oz is divided into four color-coded provinces: in the north, everything is purple; in the west, yellow; in the east, blue; and in the south, red. the emerald city, in the center, is made to appear entirely green because the wizard "put green spectacles on all the people" to "make the name fit better."
so, in the first episode, rwby introduces:
glynda goodwitch—whose clothing and magic are purple, and who is established in opposition to a mysterious adversary clad in red.
ozpin, the headmaster of beacon academy—note the wizard's initials are OZPINHEAD; his full name is oscar zoroaster phadrig isaac norman henkle emmanuel ambroise diggs.
glynda brings ruby to ozpin and over the course of the next few volumes it's established that she is not only ozpin's deputy but also part of his inner circle and unwavering in her faith in ozpin himself. her narrative role is that of the good witch of the north—not glinda—but her name references the pop culture composite character invented by the classic film.
'the marvelous land of oz' begins after the wizard's departure from oz. insofar as the beacon arc culminates with ozpin's death, this part of the story correlates to 'the wizard of oz'—although it is not 1-to-1 and i would argue that the role of dorothy is diffused between all of team RWBY and JNPR because the only part that matters is how the story utilizes the end of 'the wizard of oz' to subtly insinuate salem into the role of glinda.
see, the wizard intends to bring dorothy with him in his balloon when he leaves oz, but she's delayed—searching for toto—and the ropes anchoring the balloon snap before she can come aboard, leaving dorothy stranded in oz. eventually someone suggests that she ask glinda—the witch of the south—for help. glinda is said to be "the most powerful of all witches" and there is a bit of ambiguity as to whether she is a good witch or not:
"Glinda is a Good Witch, isn't she?" asked the child. "The Quadlings think she is good," said the soldier, "and she is kind to everyone. I have heard that Glinda is a beautiful woman, who knows how to keep young in spite of the many years she has lived." "How can I get to her castle?" asked Dorothy. "The road is straight to the South," he answered, "but it is said to be full of dangers to travelers. There are wild beasts in the woods, and a race of queer men who do not like strangers to cross their country. For this reasons none of the Quadlings ever come to the Emerald City."
(note how she's "the witch of the south"—unlike "the good witch of the north" and the wicked witches of the east and west.)
dorothy and her friends set out on the dangerous journey south to find glinda. the beacon arc ends by setting RWBY and JNR on a course to discover salem, whose existence is revealed to the audience in the last moments of V3. the kids, collectively, are in dorothy's shoes and like glinda, salem is the one person on remnant who understands what the shoes are and how to use them properly—figuratively speaking.
<- so the purpose of glynda goodwitch is to articulate an important thematic conceit: she's glinda the good witch of the north, a character who does not exist in the original book yet dominates the pop culture frame of reference for the land of oz, a character who is also embodies a narrative problem introduced by the conflation of two different characters who fulfill contradictory roles (one believes in the wizard and cannot help dorothy; the other knows he's a fraud and can help dorothy). glynda goodwitch is not just a red herring; her character allusion also comments thematically on ozpin's use of fairytale to distort and control the narrative regarding salem.
anyway.
the salient point with regard to theodore is that while rwby is retelling 'the marvelous land of oz,' it also alludes to the classic film in service of both the retelling and its own deeper themes.
i bring that up because theodore—on top of literally being named dorothy-but-backwards—is described like this:
Finally the double doors to the headmaster's office opened and Theodore strode out, his glittering red-gloved fists raised above his head like he had just one a fight. [...] A flowing gray-blue cape, the color of a stormy sky, was clasped around his shoulders with a silver chain. He had a silver belt with a round buckle, matching boots, and bright white slacks with deep side pockets, all carefully orchestrated to draw even more attention to himself.
his appearance is clearly intended to call the pop culture image of dorothy to mind. the glittering red gloves evoke the classic film's ruby slippers, and dorothy is of course transported to oz by a storm.
but mind the details.
theodore fastens his cloak with a silver chain. his belt is silver. his boots are silver (and that is stated obliquely, easy to miss if you skim over this description). silver silver silver. in the original book, the magic slippers are silver, not red. and his wardrobe is "carefully orchestrated" to attract attention.
the land of oz is surrounded on all sides by desert, impassible except by magical means. when dorothy uses the silver slippers to travel back to kansas, they fall off her feet en route and are lost in the desert forever. theodore is the headmaster of shade and de facto king of vacuo—which is a inhospitable wasteland surrounded on all sides by harsh desert. he wears ruby gloves... and silver boots. like glynda goodwitch, his attention-grabbing outward appearance locates itself in a contradiction between the book and the film.
which dorothy is he?
trick question. he represents the silver slippers, fallen to rest somewhere in the desert separating oz from the rest of the world. this serves two important, and interlocking, purposes:
it tells us not to look for a dorothy—because dorothy isn't here. she went home. she's in kansas. dorothy doesn't figure at all in 'the marvelous land of oz' except insofar as the scarecrow and the tin man remember her fondly. (the god of darkness is the real dorothy—because he's gone.)
it marks vacuo as the desert outside of oz—not part of oz.
the second point matters because marvelous land's climactic sequence begins with glinda chasing mombi all the way from the emerald city to the desert past the edge of oz, where mombi collapses from sheer exhaustion and glinda binds her and hauls her bodily back to the emerald city to account for her wrongdoing. this weaves the ozian narrative together with the maiden-in-tower allusions and the little prince like this:
glinda must subdue mombi in the desert before ozma can be released from her curse;
rapunzel's prince is blinded and wanders alone in a wasteland until her voice leads him back to her and her tears restore his sight;
the pilot is stranded in a desert and must learn to see with his heart instead of his eyes in order to find water.
if we examine these together, understanding salem as glinda and rapunzel, mombi as the god of light, and ozma as both the prince and the pilot, that is very strongly suggestive of what is going to happen in vacuo. should rwby continues to follow the plot structure of 'the marvelous land of oz' as closely as it has been, i predict that:
salem will take cinder and return to vale, where her villain -> hero arc will begin facilitated by character development in relation to cinder and summer rose;
they will identify what sort of "deception" ozpin used to hide the relic's location, realize that the extra layer of defense cannot be circumvented, and go to vacuo. (specifically, i suspect ozpin incorporated the branwen twins into the crown's protections);
in vacuo, salem will put all her cards on the table, tell everyone what she is trying to accomplish and why. negotiations ensue. the possibility of freeing ozma from oscar is introduced and possibly carried out. the god of light is symbolically defeated—everyone rejects the divine mandate.
everyone returns to beacon to bring the crown of choice out of its vault and initiate the final confrontation with the god of light.
with most of the curve balls coming from what the vacuo coalition faces while salem is preoccupied with the beacon relic and how everyone reacts to the olive branch of summer rose being... alive.
insofar as theodore figures into this, given the prominence of silver in his character design i wonder if he won't turn out to represent not just the silver slippers that were lost but also the silver wishing pills.
in marvelous land, tip comes into possession of a set of wish-granting silver pills that can grant any wish after being swallowed. when he and his friends escape the conquered emerald city, they accidentally overshoot glinda's home and fly all the way to the far side of the desert before crash landing in a nest of antagonistic jackdaws. tip tries to use one of the pills to get them home, but when he swallows it, it hurts him so badly that he cries out in pain and wishes that he'd never taken it in the first place—which comes true at once. the pill is uneaten. then the woggle-bug uses the same pill to repair their flying contraption* so they can escape from the jackdaws and return to oz.
(*it's called the gump and it's two couches lashed together with leaves for wings, a broom for a tail, and a stuffed elk-like head for a head, brought to life by magical powder. it defies easy description)
so there is some obvious overlap in role between the silver shoes and the silver wishing pills in that both are magical silver items the main characters use to get home—and like the slippers, the pills are lost during the journey home. (the characters conclude that tip must have left them behind in the jackdaws' nest by mistake.)
but the interesting part, as it pertains to theodore, is that when tippetarius tries to use one of the pills, it poisons him. there is nothing actually wrong with the pill itself—the woggle-bug uses it without coming to any harm. the incident is not really explained, but of course tippetarius is under a curse that hides his true identity as the princess ozma and later in the book glinda implies that certain kinds of magic simply do not mix well together; for all her great power, she cannot undo mombi's curse herself because her own magic abhors deception and illusion. so perhaps the silver pill poisons tippetarius because he is not himself. the curse mombi placed upon him blinds him to his true self.
now in rwby, theodore is the last headmaster standing and the effective ruler of vacuo, and the sword of destruction that ozma last used to end the great war is locked in a vault underneath shade academy. if salem does not arrive to lay siege to vacuo as the coalition expects her to, the coalition will face pressure to do something in order to counteract the fraught social and political divisions threatening to tear vacuo apart—remember, this is a country on the brink of civil war that weathered a failed popular coup during the events of V7.
that creates strong incentives for a counter-offensive. to find out where salem is "hiding" after her (as the coalition will see it) pyrrhic victory in atlas and take the fight to her—which sounds great on paper but becomes a rather fraught proposition once salem is discovered to be at beacon. if the vacuo coalition attacks her forces at beacon, vale gets caught in the crossfires—and attacking beacon of all places will not be good for the morale of the coalition's fighters either. but doing nothing may still be the worse option, because that risks the coalition breaking apart without an immediate common enemy to confront. and theodore—as characterized in 'before the dawn'—very much seems like the type of character to favor a counter-offensive under these circumstances.
and that's tip's poison pill—ozma's submission to the divine mandate and the distorted narrative he's constructed around salem prevent anyone on his side of this conflict from seeing another option besides "defend" and "counterattack," when the true solution is "negotiate." the woggle-bug—raven—is able to find the true solution because she holds knowledge about salem (and summer) that the other characters do not. if theodore and his silver trappings represent the pill tippetarius cannot use, then summer and her silver eyes represent the pill the woggle-bug can.

Mommy comes to beacon
It was a sunny day and Glynda Goodwitch was wondering why she was here
Not on Remnant per se; she had no time for an existential crisis. She certainly knew why she was at Beacon; the place would fall apart without her and she owed her Alma mater a lot.
No, the question was why she was delegated to a welcoming committee to a parent arriving at the bullhead docks.
Ozpin insisted strongly that she was the one to welcome this particular person, leaving her to wonder who would elicit such a response. It couldn't be a councilman; Ozpin would welcome them every time.
This was something else at work. But what?
The bullhead landed, opened and revealed...a blonde woman about Glynda's age in civilian clothes, smiling at her knowingly.
A maiden, maybe? Wait no, she was meant to be a parent.
"ah, the deputy headmistress!" The mother jovially exclaimed. "So I suppose you are going to lead me across campus?"
The teacher nodded curtly. "Glynda Goodwitch. My pleasure, missus..."
"Arc!"
Oh.
Mr Arc's mother had arrived, it seemed. Glynda could only wonder what her purpose was here. Perhaps she would bring her unprepared son home? It would be one worry less, knowing a brave but foolish boy would be out of harm's way.
Yes, she was told about his transcripts. An oversight on her part, something Ozpin found immensely amusing. She still wondered what the headmaster was thinking there.
"Mrs Arc." Glynda quietly wondered why she quirked her lips at hearing the name she herself gave. "Please follow me to your son's dorm. I assume you wish to speak to him?"
At that, something in her eyes changed. Did she and her son have an argument? Mrs Arc certainly seemed much sadder all of a sudden.
"well, yes, I do. Lead the way."
----------
Glynda can to realize very soon that Mrs Arc was an alumni of Beacon. How?
Duh.
"it has really been a while since I've last been here. Everything got fixed up and renovated. Do all the rooms have running water now or is the East Wing still getting the short end?"
"I assure you, everything is now in order." And thank goodness for that. More than once, someone she called her best friend mooched off her warm water, every time storming in or using the window. Almost a shame they lost touch.
Or maybe not. There was a reason she was called-
"Do you know if Professor Chala managed to retire before she died?"
Hmm, so she was definitely somewhat close to her year. "He was forced. An alpha managed to ambush him. It took his leg."
"Damn," Mrs Arc breathed. "Always thought he'd get an aneurysm with his anger problem."
"Certainly wasn't exacerbated by a certain student of his," Glynda decided to snark.
The mother made a noise that Glynda found to be sounding close to giggling. Odd, considering...
Wait.
No.
Impossible.
There was just no way-
"Well, I've also been meaning to ask, about other amenities, like the cafeteria food. I hope it's up to snuff."
Way to rip Glynda out of her sudden fear freeze.
"Well, yes, it has been improved considerably -"
"But do you have
The big one"
Ah, there it was again. The feeling of utter dread she had not felt since her school days where she just knew that her best friend was up to something and would inevitably rope her into it. The kind of shenanigans that spawned "the big one"; a horrible stew that looked like something from hell itself. Glynda cranked her head slowly towards the mother of eight, bearing a toothy grin the likes of which only one woman could bear.
The Queen Hellion of Beacon Academy.
Arturia Pendragon had returned to her old stomping grounds, it seemed.
"I cannot believe-" the queen cackled maliciously. "That you did not recognize me at all, Glyndie. I'm shocked, I'm wounded and I am offended!"
Glynda sought for a rebuttal or defense. "I didn't recognize you without you usual eyeliner." Why did she say that?!
"oh, so my eyeliner is my only defining feature? Not my figure or my hair?" She snorted jokingly. "For shame~"
"You also miss you calling card." Damn it, stop reminding her!
"Right~ but!" The demon raised a finger and her horribly mischievous grin disappeared. "That is not why I'm here to do, you know, as much as I'd love to give Beacon that Grim Reminder." Arturia said it in such a straightlaced manner that Glynda felt just like a student again. Oh, but this matter was clear and it was very due time to address it.
"it is about your son, no?"
The Queen Hellion nodded seriously and turned to her old friend....
And started bawling her eyes out.
"Why did I say tha-haaaaaat?!"
"What-" the stern blonde found herself in the familiar position of being glomped.
"My baby boy must ha-ha-ha-haaate meeeeeeeee!"
...
Ozpin would pay for this.
------------
Welp, the time has come to do a funny series. I chipped away at this for far too long, but here it is.

ok how about an Au where jaune (in her 21-24) is a producer and agent of glynda (in her 23-27) who is a singer as you can imagine. How do you think her relationship would go from being just co-workers to living together and I couldn't ask for anything better?
"Miss Goodwitch?" Glynda looked up to the raven-haired man who called her name. "Mr. Arc will see you know."
The young woman stood and made her way through the wooden door. Inside, the walls were strewn with portraits snd photos of different celebrities, no doubt clients of his, and one portrait of himself playing by a campfire. Said man was on the phone, nodding as he spoke.
"Of course." He said, his voice firm, yet kind. "I'll send you a demo by... three? Does three sound good?" Glynda stood silently as he continued. "Okay, two it is. ...Okay, I'll see you then. ...Bye-bye."
He hung up the phone and sighed. "I am very sorry about that. I thought I wojld have been done sooner, but some people just have to get the last word, right?"
"I... I suppose."
"Please, have a seat, Glynda." He gestured to his seat as he clicked on his computer. He then reached forward and turned off the monitor. "So, tell me a bit about yourself."
"My name is Glynda Goodwitch," Glynda swallowed a lump in her throat, "and I am from East Vale."
"How close to Mistral were you?"
"Only a few hours away."
"Does a lot of crime happen there?" Before she could answer, he held up his hand. "I'm sorry. I shouldn't pry like that. Just because something bad happens there once in a while, it doesn't mean it always happens, right?"
"R-Right."
"I listened to your demo, Ms. Goodwitch." He smiled. "I like it. It kind of reminded me of why I started this business. There's a lot of artists out there who only care about money, or fame, or making some political to-do. But your song," he turned on the monitor and clicked his mouse, as her demo played softly, "your song is honest. You really believe these words, don't you?"
"Y-Yes, I do." Glynda's palms were sweating so much, she had to wipe her hands on her slacks to keep them dry. "Um, is there anything else?"
"Just one thing." He stood from his desk and made his way in front of her.
A part of her screamed to leave as he towered over her. She had heard all the scandals, be they from Vale or Mistral. Record dealers like Torchwick and Lil' Miss loved to take advantage of their clients. Sometimes financially, but it was beyond the financial that scared her the most.
"Are you okay?" His blue eyes met hers as he sat on his heels. "You seem nervous."
Glynda stared at him as he kept his hands on knees. She swallow an empty lump and cough a bit. He immediately stood up and rounded the desk, crouching to open a mini-fridge he had under it. He pulled out a bottle of water and returned to her, holding out the plastic bottle.
"Here, take this." She took the bottle, eyeing it. "It's recycled." She looked to him. His face flushed a little. "Uh, th-the bottle, not the water." This got her to puff, before covering her smile. With his own smile, he sat down.
"I'll be blunt on this. Straight forward." He let out a sigh. "Are you nervous?"
"A-A little, yes." The cool water in the bottle calmed her nervousness a little as it chilled her hands. Jaune reached down for his own bottle from the fridge and chugged the entire bottle in one swig. "I-I am starting a new chapter in my life, after all."
"Of course." He nodded. "Is there anything else you're worried about?" Glynda's next song played, one of her favorites to record. Her mind drifted to her family and friends who helped her make it. It seemed to calm her a little. She looked to his eyes, and they seemed... gentle. Kind. Like he was child. She then reminded herself he was younger than her.
"There was one other thing." Glynda gulped, cracking open her bottle. He sat expectantly. "I, uh..." She drank a bit of her water. "I was concerned about coming here... alone, and meeting you... alone..."
"Oh, well, you could have brought your friends, or family." He smiled. "So long as they don't interrupt us."
"No, no, it's..." She sighed. "I'm a grown woman, Mr. Arc. I need to do things on my own."
"I understand," he nodded, "but just remember that you don't have to be alone anymore. Arc-Angel records was founded on the values of independence, but also on teamwork and familiarity. Once you're one of my clients, I'll take care of you like my own daughter."
"Odd, since I'm certain I'm older than you." Glynda chuckled. He laughed in return. When they both calmed down, she decided to be straight with him, as he was with her. "Mr. Arc?"
"You can call me Jaune if you feel more comfortable." He replied.
"Jaune..." She took a deep breath. "I was concerned you would... take advantage of me. Like in those stories I heard." She waved a hand in front of her. "About Torchwick and Lil' Miss Records, I mean."
He sighed. He clicked through his computer, scrolling through. He stopped clicking and turned the monitor to face her. On it were two articles, regarding the scandals she referenced. On the left was the multi-colored rap artist, N.E.O., laying in a hospital bed and covered in bandages. On the right were two girls, both much younger than even Jaune, seated next to a man clearly much older than Glynda. They were the Teen Pop twins of Mala-Chite, and the article blared the title, "Grown Up Gone Wrong," a reference to their debut album, "Grown-Up".
"Torchwick was a monster," Jaune said grimly, shaking his head, "and Lil' Miss is even worse. I went to school with Trivia, long before she became N.E.O., and the fact Lil' Miss did that to her own daughters..." He shook his head with disgust. "They're both a disgrace to the music business."
He turned the monitor away from her. Clicking on the computer again, her next song played. He smiled. "I actually like this one the best." He heaved a sigh and looked at her. "I can't guarantee you'll come out of this industry unharmed," his eyes seemed to mature, steeling over with confidence, "but I can guarantee that I'll do everything I can to help you, and protect you like my own. Like I said, once you're a client at Arc-Angel Records, you're family. And I protect my family."
She couldn't help but smile at that.
---------------------------------------------------
Glynda was dying. Or at least, she wished she was. She had been in the bathroom, sweaty and nervous, standing close to the toilet so she could throw up again. She was sure her stomach was empty, but she was also sure of that an hour ago when she threw up once.
"Um, Ms. Goodwitch?" A voice called out from the door. A girl with fiery-orange hair poked her head into the bathroom. "You good?"
"I'm, uh, nervous." Glynda answered. "That's all."
"Oh." She turned her head. "She says she's nervous, Jaune!
Glynda nearly fell over. She was hoping for a little more tact, but she must have been expecting too much from her boss's personal assistant. She hurried over, heels clacking against the tiles of the bathroom. When she arrived, she swung the door open. On the other side was Mr. Arc, his personal assistant Nora, and his receptionist, Ren.
"Everything okay, Glynda?" Jaune asked.
"I'm fine!" She hissed, clearly not fine. "I'm just... nervous."
"Ah, I gotcha." Jaune nodded. "That's why I prepared these, just in case you needed them."
He lifted his hands, in which were a water bottle, and a package of salted crackers. She looked to the others, who were smiling with their boss. In Nora's hands were a tube of toothpaste and a toothbrush, and in Ren's was a fluffy, blue towel.
"What is all of this?" Glynda asked.
"This is for your stomach." Jaune replied. "It should keep your voice clean and clear, and soak up anything nasty in your stomach. The towel is for in case you made a mess, which you didn't, so that's good, and the toothpaste is for, uh..." He coughed into his cuff. "Any lingering odors from your vomiting." She flushed, covering her mouth. "You're not the person to get nervous, and I make sure that whatever nervousness you feel is gone."
"I'm just," she cleared her throat, "I've never performed in front of such a large crowd."
Nora scoffed, which earned a disapproving glare from her counterpart on the other side of Jaune. She sheepishly winced, then stared at the ground. If this isn't big, then she feared what big was. Her stomach gurgled a bit.
"It's okay." Jaune said. "I know what it's like to be nervous. For my first job interview, I was stuck on the toilet for half an hour." Glynda scoffed and chuckled. "See? Not so nervous now, right?"
"No, I suppose not." She sighed. "But what if I fail?"
"You won't." Jaune immediately answered. "You might make a mistake, or even flub up a line, or two, but you won't fail."
"How can you be so sure?" She asked.
"Because I know a failure when I see one," somehow his eyes seemed to shine there, "and Glynda Goodwitch is no failure."
"I... thank you." Glynda was at a loss for words, so she settled for just two. Nora walked past her with a smile, and Jaune handed the crackers and water to her. "Anyone else would have given up on me."
"Probably." Jaune shrugged his shoulders. "But the most important thing is that you don't give up. The second you call yourself a failure is the second you give up the fight."
"That's... inspiring." Glynda turned the door, but looked back to him. "Where did you hear that from?"
"From an old friend."
---------------------------------------------------
"Glynda, I'd like you to meet my old friend, Weiss Schnee."
Glynda felt like she could die right now. Here she was, a barely rising nobody, speaking face to face with a real superstar like the Weiss Schnee, the Songstress Sorceress of Atlas! She didn't feel like throwing up at least, though that was more her throat closing up than anything. Was this how all people who met Weiss felt?
"And just who are you referring to as old?" Weiss scowled at Jaine. "Just because we're friends doesn't mean I can't kick you out of this party."
"And leave Glynda alone with you?" He chuckled. "That would be cruel!"
Weiss rolled her eyes, then focused on the rising "talent" before her. She was scanned up and down like a masterpiece in a children's art gallery. After a short time that felt like centuries, she received a curt nod for her troubles.
"I heard your latest single while I was working earlier." Weiss said. "I liked it. It gave me a warm feeling for home. Not a lot of songs can do that these days."
"Oh, uh, th-thank you!" Glynda answered.
"Tell me, where are you from?"
"East Vale, ma'am." This earmed a groan from Weiss, and Glynda wanted to die.
"Please don't call me ma'am." She shook her head. "I'm already getting wrinkles from my husband's antics."
"Neptune's at it again, huh?" Jaune chuckled.
"When is he not?" She took a sip, glancing to her husband, a man with stark blue hair, laughing with some of the female guests. Her cheeks puffed a bit with her nose crinkled. With an exhale, she returned her focus to Glynda. "Back to the matter, East Vale. That's quite the journey. You left home to big city Vale, and flew around, before finding yourself here, in Atlas. How do you feel, Glynda?"
"Well," Glynda's gaze drifted down, then returned to Weiss to avoid appearing timid, or worse, rude, "I'm filled with a lot of emotions about everything."
"Oh? Do tell."
"Well, it was exciting at first." Glynda began. "New city. New life. New dangers. Not that I'm saying it's all dangerous, but-"
"I am aware." Weiss held up a hand. "If anyone is more aware of the dangers as an artist, I have yet to meet them. Please, continue."
"Well, after I arrived, Mr. Arc has shown me nothing but kindness." Glynda glanced to Jaune. "Any time I felt uncomfortable, he was there to ease my fears to allow me to perform."
"That is definitely his way of performing." Weiss smiled. "If only I had him as my agent instead of my father."
"Rest his soul." Jaune solemnly nodded.
"Yeah, sure." Weiss waved off. "Now things are much better with my brother, Whitley, handling my affairs, instead of controlling them like my father did." She took a swig of her drink, exhaling with vigor. "But enough about me. How are you feeling now?"
Glynda looked around the room. It was filled with budding talent, all much younger than her. She remembered how she gained ten pounds in the past week with a grimace. With a sigh, she answered. "I feel a bit uncomfortable around so many younger artists around me. It makes me feel a bit old."
"Would it make you feel better if I said you were the prettiest one here?"
The trio locked eyes on a burly man with black hair. He was dressed in a white uniform, indicating his place not only as a member of the Atlas military, but an officer at that. There was a plate over his left brow, likely from an injury he earned from what was assumed to be a training exercise, considering the last real conflict was well over fifty years ago, and this man didn't look much older than Glynda.
"Forgive me," he said, "I don't know why I spoke out of turn like that."
"I can think of a few reasons." Weiss muttered under her breath. "Glynda, Jaune, this is Mr. James Ironwood. He's a... captain of the Atlas military?"
"Colonel." He replied. "Lieutenant Colonel James Ironwood, ma'am."
"Ah, yes, forgive me, colonel." Weiss rolled her eyes.
"It has been a while since we last met." The colonel said. "And you are?"
"Glynda!" Glynda shouted, earming a few stares from other guests. She cleared her throat and respoke. "Glynda Goodwitch, sir."
He chuckled. "I don't need the sir, ma'am."
"Well, I don't need the ma'am." Glynda replied. "I'm not that old yet."
The two shared a laugh. Jaune leaned over to Weiss with a smile. Weiss had taken another drink from a tray.
"Was I this bad?" Jaune asked.
"You were worse, actually." Weiss smiled for the first time all evening. "So much worse."
---------------------------------------------------
Glynda sobbed at the worst day of her life. James, kind as he was at first, had broken up with her so coldly for the sake of his career in Atlas. Ever since the break-up a week ago, she had stayed as much as possible in her apartment, barely leaving for much longer than an hour outside. She'd missed a lot of important meetings, and at the moment, she didn't care. She just wanted to stay alone.
"Glynda?" A muffled voice at the door called, followed by knocking. "Glynda, are you there?"
"Go away." She softly replied from her couch.
"Glynda, it's me, Jaune. Are you okay?"
"Leave me alone."
"Listen, if you're alive, I'm really sorry about getting the police involved."
Glynda lept from her seat and rushed to the door, quickly unlocking it. As it swung open, she was greeted by Jaune, and only Jaune.
"Sorry, I lied." He sheepishly smiled. "Can I come in?"
"Why are you here?" She nearly snarled.
"Would you believe me if I said I was worried about you? Because I am."
Glynda sighed and walk back into her lonely, little home. Jaune followed and shut the door. She layed back on the couch as Jaune stood. Jaune turned on a the light to see better.
"I don't know what to believe." Glynda said. "James was so sweet to me, but he kept pushing off our dates again and again."
"Military guys don't get a lot of time off, from what I hear." Jaune shrugged.
"Yes, and he made that very clear." She sighed. "That's why I cherished every moment I had with him. But..." Tears welled in her eyes. "But then he said that his career is more important, and that I was a distraction."
"Some colonel." Jaune grumbled. "He could have let you down easy. For an officer, he doesn't seem to know a thing about tact."
Glynda huffed a smile from that. She then sniffled as she rubbed her eyes, looking at Jaune. His hand was wrapped and bandaged. She sat up and pointed at it.
"What happened to your hand?"
"Hm?" Jaune lifted his hand. "Oh, this? Just a disagreement, that's all."
"What was the disagreement about?" She asked.
"It's... complicated." He mulled the words carefully before he finished. He then sighed. "I got a visit from another producer the other day. He wanted to buy your contract from me."
"Who was it?"
"Roman Torchwick, of Torchwick Records." Jaune growled the name, venom on his tongue. "He said he'd give you a better life if you worked for him."
"You didn't-"
"Never!" Jaune cut her off. "Not after what he did to Neo. He didn't like my answer either, so he threatened me, warning that if I didn't 'play along,' him and his goons would take you from me."
Glynda felt a chill up her spine, thinking about working for Torchwick. N.E.O. was on the cover of every other tabloid until her hospitalization. Bar brawls, indecent exposures, scandalous sex tapes, and all of it because of Roman Torchwick.
"So, I broke my hand to keep him away from you, and I sent word to the Vale police that I was threatened and acted in self-defense, and that you would also be threatened." He smiled. "And all Roman took was me being able to sign anything for a few months." He shrugged. "But that's what digital signatures are for."
Jaune saved her again. Time and time again, he went out of his way to make her comfortable, and keep her happy. He risked his life for her, and she couldn't help but appreciate that. With a sigh, she stood up.
"Jaune," he looked her in the eyes, "I'm ready to come back!"
"Great, so pack your things!"
"Huh?"
"Yeah, so I asked the police to set up a task force to protect you, but they said they couldn't spare the manpower," he scratched his head, "so, uh, I thought it would be best for you to stay at my house for a while. Until this Torchwick thing is taken care of." He shook his hands. "But only if you want to. I don't want to force you to-"
"Okay."
"Huh?"
"I trust you." Glynda said. "And if being in the same house keeps me safer from Roman Torchwick, then I am more than willing to do it." She smiled. "Arc-Angel Records is my family, and I know my family will protect me."
Jaune smiled at that.

Glynda is the vice headmistress - now headmistress - of Beacon Academy. She is Ozpins left and right hand woman and someone who has been with him through everything during his time as headmaster.
We've seen posts going on and on about Qrow and the other members of the inner circle, especially the ones that have characters to do with The Wonderful Wizard of Oz but they never mention her or how she copes with everything. I think I might try and fix that.
(T.W: this is going to contain a theory of mine on how her semblance works),
Glynda's semblance, as we know, is telekinesis. She moves objects on either smaller or larger scales and has the ability to fix and repair things with her mind. We've seen her control and fix things on large scales before (the breach and the food fight) and as we know by now a semblance is a special power made by the soul/ Aura to fit one's personality, mental, or emotional state.
Depending on your mental and emotional health your semblance can evolve it doesn't matter if your feelings are negative or not your semblance will automatically evolve and to stay compatible with your personality and traits, you can still train it to get stronger though. Ren and Ruby are perfect examples for this.
Glynda is a vice headmistress, a member of the inner circle, Ozpins closest confident, a renowned huntress, and a combat teacher and disciplinarian at Beacon Academy. The most successful and prestigious of all four Academies. Safe to say she's got a lot of power at Beacon. We see that she cares about the students following the rules and staying on track while trying to enforce said rules. She has control on just about everything at Beacon. We also see that she's trying to keep everything together, keep her students safe, keep Ironwood trusting Ozpin, keep the school in shape. She needs to keep things together or else they'll break and fall apart.
After the fall of Beacon we see her trying to put a shop back together using her semblance...but it doesn't work. She's out of breath and confused. Yes you could play it off as she's probably tired from doing other things like putting Beacon back together. But that is not the case. We see that she's started putting the school back together later on after helping repair the city in the books, and the rest of the city still looks very much destroyed.
I have a theory on how a part of her semblance might work.
She needs to KNOW. That's it. She just needs to know. We all know her fairy tale inspiration is Glynda the Good witch of the east and that she is someone very important and someone with knowledge on just about everything. Glynda doesn't know anymore. She doesn't know what happened to her students, she doesn't know what happened to Lionheart or Ironwood, she doesn't know about Oscar or Emerald's redemption, and she doesn't know about Raven, Winter, Penny, Fria, or the maidens. The Good Witch lost her knowledge.
We also don't know how young (or old) she was when she unlocked her semblance. If it was when she was young as in a child or pre teen then I was right and she did not have a fun childhood like the rest of the cast, if it was when she was a student - a new huntress, then the stress was probably getting to her, if it was recent - as in slightly before canon - then the stress finally got to her but she didn't show it (most unlikely in terms of timeline and experience with her semblance (most likely in terms of stress) or it could be all of them but she just didn't show it because of being stubborn and a workaholic

Pokemon Team Master List
Jaune:
Ralts, an empathetic pokemon which found someone who was lonely one day.
Rockruff, A happy go lucky pokemon, takes after it's owner.  He moves at his own tempo~
Weedle, Jaune found it when it was by itself, having wondered too far from home!  Despite it not being the best pokemon he refuses to let it go.
Nidoran Female: A cute little rodent pokemon which had found itself into his home one day when he was a kid.
Sneasel: A crafty pokemon that Jaune caught trying to steal from his sister one time.  He got blamed for it, but ended up befriending the weasel!
Tsareena:  This one was a gift from Jaune's elder sister, the only evolved pokemon he has.  It takes its role as his big sister seriously.
Pyrrha:
Ralts:  Similar to Jaune, this male Ralts found Pyrrha because it could sense someone who needed friendship.
Mimikyu: A wondering ghost/fairy that noticed a shining star, jealousy brought him to her, but kindness and attention got him to stay.
Nidoran Male:  Rodents really like getting in houses, found hers when she was a little girl.  It was oddly friendly!
Scolipede: A roaming speedy pokemon.  Pyrrha found this big girl when she was a wounded Venipede.
Vulpix: Given to her as an egg, the little girl is brave despite her lack of size and firepower.
Feebas: He's not the prettiest or the strongest pokemon.  But when Pyrrha found him stranded after a flood, she couldn't leave him alone.
So May grew up in the desert and a lot of her pokemon are themed that way... except for one~ All her pokemon are evolved due to the harsh nature of the climate she's from.
Florges: A flower fairy pokemon that May has had for ages was a gift to her from a certain blonde dork when they were children.  Her longest companion and best friend.
Scolipede: Another pokemon not from the desert, but desert adjacent.  A female that likes to move around.
Cacturne: Cool and false aloof, the big brother of the group always watching out for May.
Flygon: Goofy, loveable, a little out of it.
Krookodile: Battle hardened, tough as nails, but a big softy who only wants the best for May.
Braviary: Normally cowardly, but a cowardly lion indeed!  He's always shying away from other pokemon if he can help it, but will always be there to protect May.
Nora:
Mareep: As mentioned she owns a Mareep that she loves to brush, she may be willingly not evolving her.
Vigoroth: Okay you knew this was coming, we all knew this was coming.  When she first laid eye son Slakoth it was love at first pokeball!  She's full of energy just like her trainer.
Whismur: Cute little thing that's afraid of loud noises, Nora tends to baby him!
East Sea Gastrodon: Big slug who likes to climb over and onto people!
Female Combee: The next best thing to Syrup is Honey!  And with her lovely little Combee, Nora has access to it all the time!
Glarian Farfetch'd:  As it turns out this fella reminds her of a certain friend she has!  He's a bit out of it, but he tries his best.  Hopefully he'll be able to reach his full potential.
Rua's team:
Galarian Rapidash: Reminds of her Saph, is the big lady of the house.  May not be the strongest, but she's the one in charge for sure.
Lycanroc Dusk:  Looks big, mean, and tall, but he's a good boy!  Is actually related to Jaune's little Rockruff!  The only male on her team.
Escavalier: Her bug steal pokemon, straight forward, constantly training, like a certain sister of hers.
Ditto:  Likes to change it's appearance all the time, rather adapt at it too!  Much like a certain sister who likes to dress up.  Despite being a ditto, is her strongest pokemon.  Excellent in transforming by memory and at the drop of a dime.
Mightyena: Gloomy, a bit of a sad type, is rather is a half sibling to Lycanroc, highly jealous.
Morpeko: Changes moods way too often, reminds her of a certain twins she knows.
Glynda Goodwitch
Delphox: Her oldest companion, powerful, dangerous, scary.
Hatterene: She actually has one, and is the only person on Beacon that can control it.  Domineering, dangerous, terrifying.
Dragonite: Caring, and loving, but also willing to put anyone in their place.
As for Ren?
Bulbasaur: A male grass pokemon he found one day as a child, has been his longest companion.
Politoad: A pair of twins, she's gentle and kind, always making sure Ren is well taken care of.
Poliwrath: A defender of justice, brave and forth coming.  He's the other twin!
Toxicroak: She's cunning, willing to do what needs to be done.
Froakie: Aloof, almost uncaring, but he's always watching, making sure everyone is safe.
Ren only has a team of 5, his last slot is still yet to be filled.
Weiss is... interesting.
So there are the normal ones you'd think of.
Froslass: An oldy of hers, found her once wheen she was a child.
Alolan Vulpix: She loves it's pure white color.
Lapras: A majestic pokemon suitable for someone of her stature.
And finally!
A Houndour, her single male pokemon.  One may question, why does she have such a scary pokemon, even more because it's a fire type... well.  It's just as up and forth as she is, always showing off it's brilliant black shimmering coat.  But behind closed doors?
"Whose a good boy!  Whose a good boy!"
Weiss refuses not to give him treats or constant belly rubs~

Oh, thank you! I'm glad to see what you think of my plans for Jaune! I was actually kinda thinking he'd become good friends with my own oc whose based on King Arthur as he's prince & next in line of being King of Vale & have Ozpin in charge of Vytal which is in the center of Remnant while my own Lucasta North runs Beacon Academy & Glynda South (my rewrite of Glynda Goodwitch) runs Shade Academy
Tumblr media
No lie, I was full on surprised when I found out that they had based the fourth Headmaster on Dorothy. I had literally thought Oscar might've been meant to reference Dorothy and had thought they'd go with something like the witch of the north or the east. Side note, that was the reason I made an OC headmistress of Vacuo based off of Dorothy in a fan fic once, and now I have Theodora in my head and have to deal with Theodore in actuality. XD
But the idea of Ozpin running 'Vytal,' in the middle of Remnant, while the others run the other schools is cool! Would the mains go to Vytal, or Beacon? Also, I'm interested in hearing about the Dorothy team, that sounds interesting. Are they upperclassmen?
Also, it's a full on shame that we haven't seen any King Arthur based characters as of yet in the show. I would have a hard time making King Arthur legend based characters without taking at least a little bit of inspiration from the old 'Merlin' TV show, because I used to be big on that show, but there's so much to work with as allusions there!

Both of his arms, covered entirely in matte black gauntlets, with sharp angular edges that peaked past his shoulder. They are just a very thin layers of metal, beneath the angular surface; they hid hundreds of look alikes. Until the time Kohaku would use it, the gauntlet would bursts into the air like a shattering mirrors, defending all subjects within perimeter from everthing. It has been a very powerful shield and also can glide through the air like knives. The sharp edges; could kill.
Kohaku walked across the quiet street, panning his sight to the surrounding, trying to figure out the two dark silhouttes covered by the thick fogs of the morning. When they came closer, it became familiar- and they were Glynda and Orianna. Honestly, he was feeling glad that all of them rendesvouzed according to the plan.
"I have investigated the east side of the street. It's clear. I think they have been expecting us to come and obliterate them. So, they've planned their escape in advance." He sounded a bit disappointed but the looks from his face, telling them that they should not let down their guards yet.
"What about you two?"

There Will Always Be Hope (IV)
Fandom: RWBY
Faunus Weiss AU
From a young age, Weiss knew she wasn't normal. Having a tragic past she prefers not to think about, she tries to live her life, helping her surrogate dad work the club.
She never really thought about pursuing her dream of becoming a huntress, that is until she helps the world famous Glynda Goodwitch, helps stop a robbery, saves a couple Faunus and stops a couple of Grimm from destroying the neighbourhood.
Now she's been given the chance to attend Beacon Academy, she has to choose between hiding herself from the world or living her dream?
Also posted on AO3 (X)
← Previous Chapter / First Chapter / Next Chapter  →
The first thing Weiss noticed when she came to was the unbearable heat.
Taking a breath, she couldn't help the coughing fit as she choked on fumes, using one hand to push herself up and the other to clear the smoke from her face she looked around at her surroundings with unfocused eyes. The bomb had destroyed most of the East wing and started a huge fire, expensive paintings and other flammables had already been burnt to a crisp as the flames grew along the walls, to her left the security room door had been blown into itself, trapping people in the control room. Hearing rubble shift Weiss looked to see her mother freeing herself from the fallen debris, once she was free Elizabeth took in the damage caused before spotting and limping over to her daughter,
"Weiss dear, we need to leave!" Using some of the last reserves of her aura, Elizabeth used the rubble to create two giant molten groundhogs, she commanded one to break the door to the control room whilst the other began clearing the blocked off path that led to the rest of the house. Weiss watched in amazement as her mother's creation got to work, tearing through the weakened metal as if it was made of plastic, within minutes the door was gone and the beast stood to the side as its creator walked past to inspect the damage to the room. Thought the metal aligned in the walls had saved most of the security team from the damage the roof had still caved in, crushing one of the staff and destroying most of the consoles.
Coughing to her left dragged Elizabeth away from the destruction in front of her, Alison supported himself on the only functioning console, trying to clear the dust and smoke from his lungs, opening one eye - the one not filled with blood - he gave the room a once over before addressing his employer,
"What the devil is happening?! Code 7 Ms Schnee?" His heavy Mistrial accent bleeding in between gasps, limping over he began helping clear his colleagues out one by one, handing the most injured over towards the giant Groundhog statue. With a flick of her wrist, Elizabeth transformed it into a dire wolf before commanding it to take its injured load to the nearest hospital. The summon nodded before exiting the hole in the side of the building and heading downhill towards the nearest town. Watching her summon go Elizabeth knew the people on board would get the best help and turned towards Alison and her daughter,
"We need to regroup with everyone else that's still here, I know my husband is awake and most likely with Winter, that explosion rattled the whole building hopefully it's the only one," kneeling down she brushed a few loss strands of hair that clung to Weiss' face before kissing her forehead and smiling, "I'm sorry I didn't believe you earlier snowflake, we're going to find your sister and get out of here okay?" She waited for Weiss to nod before heading over to whatever console was left working, "Where did you run into the White Fang? Hopefully, I can find out if they're still here"
White Fang? Weiss didn’t know what her mother was talking about, seeing the confusion on her face Elizabeth elaborated, "The scary people in the masks" she quickly explained. Keying in the coordinates she wasn't surprised to find the main cameras had been disconnected, using a special password only her husband knew she quickly changed the feed to the three hidden cameras they used to keep an eye on their children, turning it to the centre of the room she watched as a tall slightly muscled woman grabbed the head of an equally tall man with cat ears before tilting his head and staring straight into his eyes, after a few seconds he ceased struggling before standing upright and walking over to his comrades.
Typing in a new command she quickly flicked through the cameras stationed throughout the house, most of the mansion was clear except the backyard and gardens were three trucks with the horrid White Fang logo on the sides, "How the hell did they not set off the perimeter alarms and how did your men not spot this?!" Elizabeth turned to Alison motion in to the security feeds.
Stepping past her and using the other have of the console, Alison typed in his clearance codes before flicking through the cameras, unlike Mrs Schnee footage however his feed showed up clean, checking the video logs however he noticed that the video was stuck on a loop between 8 pm to 11 pm, "They've sabotaged most of the cameras Ma'am, as far as the others knew the garden and the backyard leading to the forest was clear, I'm terribly sorry we should have been more vigilant." Alison lowered his head before smashing the side of the console with is a fist, feeling something around his leg he looked down to see Weiss hugging his leg, tail happily swaying behind her. Smiling he gently patted her head before steeling his nerves, he needed to get both these people to safety, no matter the cost.
∞∞∞
Weiss rode on top of the remaining rubble summon, Elizabeth had felt some of her aura gently return to her earlier letting her know her summon had gotten its injured cargo to safety. They were now walking around the empty mansion seeing if they could find anyone, friend or foe, they’d already bumped into a few staff along the way telling them that there were a few White Fang members running around killing staff and most of the staff had evacuated to the downstairs carpark and were loading into the emergency armoured vehicles. With his pistol raised, Alison peered around another corner, checking it was clear before beckoning the others forward, so far they had only found three dead corpses, one of them being a white fang member. Elizabeth made sure to keep her daughter preoccupied so she didn’t have to see the horrific sights. Walking deeper towards the kitchen, Weiss’ ears began to flicker as she picked up the sound of movement up ahead, noticing Elizabeth signalled Alison back only for a door to his left to slam open and a White Fang guard to come crashing out. Raising his gun, he aimed at the door only for the body to drop to the floor lifeless, aiming his pistol again when he heard more footsteps he quickly let out a lengthy breath when a familiar face came into view. Jensen, the Schnee’s loyal butler limbed of the body before all but collapsing into the unprepared security guard, holstering his weapon in record time he grabbed the shofar before he could collide into the floor,
“I am so glad to see you Mrs and Miss Schnee, after we saw your husband run off with Winter without you, we feared the worst.” Trying to stand on his own. Jensen buckled again before being caught by both Ms Schnee and Alison, looking over his tatted and ripped clothes, Elizabeth knew the butler wouldn’t be able to walk on his own, making eye contact with her trusted head of security, she easily conveyed the message that she wanted. Shifting his weight so he was fully leaning on Alison, Elizabeth walked around so she could face Jensen,
“Jensen? I need you to hold on for me okay? Alison is going to escort you and Weiss to the emergency carpark while I continue to look for survivors.” Jensen tried to shift his wait onto his own legs, pushing off his colleague, he opened his mouth to argue but saw the look in woman’s eyes stopped, sighing he leaded back onto Alison. Elizabeth nodded and turned around went to call her summon over, only to notice it wasn’t there, figuring out what their friend was looking for they too began to look around for the youngest Schnee only to find she wasn’t there.
∞∞∞
Weiss continued to ride on top of her mother summon through the mansion, when they had stopped earlier, she had been so scared when the door crashed open and the White Fang appeared she had grabbed the summon around its neck and closed her eyes, for a second she felt weird before the summon turned white and left the room. Now they were in the second Kitchen further down the estate, timidly looking around each corner and avoiding areas where Weiss could smell blood and smoke. Entering the Piano room, Weiss was struck by fear causing the summon to freeze; two White Fang grunts were currently sweeping the room looking for any humans whilst the third had his back turned, scowling at a giant-sized family portrait. Deciding he had had enough of the picture he extended his clawed hand and slashed at the photo, effectively beheading the two adult Schnee and defacing the eldest daughter but missing the youngest, looking towards the two made noises of approval whilst the vandal looked over his work to turn and face his two comrades only to notice the new arrival, he looked at the destroyed picture just to confirm he was seeing it with his own eyes before looking back at the child with a sinister smile,
“I missed that time, I won’t miss again.”
Stalking towards the terrified child, he heard his companions cocking their weapons ready to fire if someone else came. Just as the terrorist was about to lung, however, he was blinded as the room filled bright blue flash before he felt something slam him across his side, sending him flying and crashing on the other side of the room, coughing up blood as he didn’t have enough time to draw up his aura, he shakily looked to were his two clanmates were and saw what looked like a glowing white bear standing where he once was, glaring at the image he let out a gurgled growl before his eyes rolled into the back of his head and he slumped down against the wall. Looking at their dead-squad leader, the two remaining terrorists looked at each other before raising their weapons and firing at the creature in front of them, two shots rang out and then the firing stopped.
Uncurling from a ball, the now giant blue rubble armadillo summon released Weiss from its protective shell before transforming back into a rather large canine of some kind, before Weiss could process what was happening she was quickly engulfed in a strong hug, looking up she could see the crying face of her mother, closing her eyes as she kissed her wherever she could get hold, “Don’t you ever run off like that again!” watching her daughter nod she stayed crouched and hugging her daughter for a while longer. Hearing heavy footsteps, Elizabeth looked up to see her husband barge into the other side of the tarnished main dining room, he looked around spotting his wife before having to step back to avoid a flaming support beam from crashing into him, covering his to stop the ash and smoke getting into his face he tried to peer throw to make sure his wife was okay. Unable to he yelled at his wife to meet him in the foyer before making his way there himself, decapitating the head of a fallen Faunus that was trapped under what he guessed was he great great grandfather’s statue, sneering in disgust before flicking the blood off his sword, he made his way through the passage and around the corner, in the distance he could see Elizabeth’s summon holding up a wall that had been knocked down from one of the many bomb explosions earlier, glancing at the wall he wondered how such an uncivilized group of animals were not only able to penetrate the perimeter of his home but able to plan and execute an attack of this magnitude, deciding to question it later, he decided to head back around and wait for the pair near the entrance.
Distracted, he didn’t notice the Snake Faunus come hobbling up the left corridor.

The snake commander limped down the corridor, one hand holding her empty pistol and the other holding a cloth to a wound on her side as she waited for her Aura to heal the wound. That nurse had proven to put up more of a fight than she had expected, refusing to tell her where those blasted Schnee basterds had run off to, instead drawing a shard and slitting the throat of one her subordinates and then trying to stab her, she’d managed to embed her with the makeshift weapon before Snake grabbed the offending wrist and snapped it, her scream was cut short with a bullet to the head and Snake was on the move again, trying to find at least one Schnee before she called for a retreat, the higher ranks would be more forgiving if she hadn’t completely wasted their original plan.
Rounding a corner in this maze of a house, she heard faint footsteps up a head, sticking to the shadows she made her way to what was properly another fancy room. Getting closer she saw that wretched freak Faunus child from earlier standing with its back towards her, looking towards what looked like a glowing bear made up of rock. Removing the red cloth, she inspected her wound to find her Aura had finally closed it up, testing her arm and rips she felt a light tingle but that’s it. Dropping the useless gun, she unsheathed a small blade from underneath her coat, and stalked towards her oblivious prey.

Watching her Summon hold the wall up, Elizabeth moved over to where her daughter stood admiring the Kodiak bear as it pushed and held up a wall that would have sealed them in earlier. Kneeling, she cleaned the dry tears off her face and picked a few pieces of rubble from her face, looking at her she couldn’t help but smile at her little survivor,
“I love you dear, don’t ever forget that.” She kissed her on the forehead, and smiled before going to scoop Weiss up in her arms, “Love you too Mumma.” Releasing the hug, she was about to say something when she felt a hand on her shoulder and a burning hot pain in her chest. Looking down she saw a blade covered in blood – her blood her dying mind realised – sticking from her chest, looking up she saw Weiss frozen with fear, her face and clothes also covered with her blood as well,
“Well that was touching.” Snake whispered in the dying Schnee’s ear, all while staring into the face of the little, “and a little pathetic.” Hissing she pulled the blade out of her stomach, and flung the body off to the side, bringing the blade up she flicked her tongue out to lick some of the droplets on her hand, “If it makes you feel better, you just saved that creature you call an offspring’s life!” Shell shocked, Weiss crawled over to her mother’s body, tears streaming down she took her mother’s outstretched hand and put it towards her check, closing her eyes she felt her mother raise her other hand to her chest before a warm sensation took over her, in her dying breaths her mother quickly chanted,
“For it is in passing that we achieve immortality. *cough* Through this, we become a paragon of v-virtue and glory to rise above all. I-Infinite in distance and unbound by death, I *cough* I release your soul, and by my shoulder, protect thee.” Elizabeth watched as she fully unlocked her daughter’s Aura and began channelling the last remaining reserves she had, “I love you Weiss, remember that, when-whenever you feel alone, I’ll be watching.” Looking over she gave her Summon one last command to protect her youngest daughter, before changing it from a Bear into a Beowulf. Due to its change of size, the Summon couldn’t hold the wall in place so went for the next best thing and quickly cocooned itself around its new charge, without the support the wall began to crumble and eventually collapsed. Seeing the impending doom, Snake quickly dived out of the way, covering her face as dust and rubble began to fall near.

Eric felt the mansion shift, bracing himself against a wall he turned around to see dust and rubble traveling up the hallway he had just come, looking around he couldn’t see his wife or the Faunus child anywhere. Pulling a handkerchief from his inside pocket, he holstered his weapon and covered his mouth, using his free hand to wave the dust from his eyes he quickly jogged back into the room to find that it had collapsed in on itself, peering through the dust he saw something twinkling from the corner of his eye. Peering through the dust he recognised his wife face, bloodied and lifeless as well as he favourite bracelet and her wedding ring glistening on her exposed hand. Knowing she was dead, he quickly bowed his head in respect before heading back to the garage, there was nothing left for him here, the best thing he could do was regroup with his only daughter and leave this place before it buried them all.
Watching the Schnee scum slip away, Snake looked at the corpse of his wife with a little satisfaction, she felt better having killed her like they killed her wife, looking at the rubble next to her she contemplated whether she should dig up the little Schnee mutant child to show the higher ranks before dismissing it and making her way out herself, she sent a message to the remaining White Fang troops to retreat and head back to HQ.
Though it wasn’t the plan, she was sure the Alphas would be happy with the fall of the White Mansion and the death of two Schnees, even if they didn’t know about the child.
∞∞∞
Hours later, when the fires had died out and what remained of the building had stopped falling, a pile of rubble began to stir. Brick, ruined furniture, and wood moved until finally the Beowulf freed itself from its tomb, sensing no danger it quickly picked up its charge and started making its way away from the young Schnee’s home and towards the nearest town.

Hei Xiong hated quite a few things; he hated cheap alcohol, he hated Grimm infested forests, he hated the cold and he hated waiting, but most of all he hated being stood up. One of his current contacts had set up a meeting to have someone meeting him here whilst he was on a trip to Atlas in the hopes of doing some business in exchange for Hei clearing a debt he had racked up at one of his bars. Stubbing out his cigar, he pulled his fur lined coat to try and keep warm and began heading back to car, messaging one of his thugs to “take care” of their little money leech. Looking up, he stopped when he saw something over his car in the distance coming towards him, putting away his scroll he pulled out his weapon Ontario and held it to his side, as it came more into view he could make out the shape of a Beowulf but the colour was all wrong. Deciding to see what the creature was he made his way around the all-terrain vehicle towards it, changing Ontario into its bazooka form and being ready to blast it away when it noticed something in its arm. Putting the weapon away he quickly made his way over when he saw the small child, checking her over, he saw she was still alive but unconscious, her clothes were tattered and there was dried blood and rubble everywhere, her face was the worst, with a gash across her forehead and another going across her right eye to her check.
Searching around, he saw smoke polluting the early morning far to East, hearing something crack he looked over to the Beowulf to see chunks of it falling apart, swiftly he grabbed the cataleptic child before taking a step back and watching the Summon break apart into a pile of rubble, a small orange orb slowly evaporating into the sky. Sighing, he looked down at the buddle in his arms, having a closer view he noticed one of her lion ears sticking out from the matted hair, readjusting the girl he made his way back to his car, deciding to go home and call it a night, he made a mental note to get one of his nurse contacts in Atlas to stop by and check her out for any injuries. After making sure she was safely buckled into the passenger seat and that her tail – wait tail? – didn’t almost get trapped in the door again he jogged over to the driver’s seat and got in and started the car, looking over one more time to make sure the girl was still okay he chuckled to himself before putting the care into drive and heading into the city,
“Well, Miltia and Melanie did say they wanted a younger sister.”

Short version - I'm still here and alive and well. I've been extensively absent from tumblr for a multitude of reasons. I don't know if that will change in the immediate future, especially with maintaining my health as my primary focus.
Long version - Nano happened. I got caught up with that. Then I got sick. Work was busy with it being December and the holidays and nothing says stressed out like being constantly down three to four people every day for a month solid. Once January rolled in, I got sick again and I'm just now getting better.
And I more or less blinked and realized, oh hey, you haven't even checked tumblr in all of this time. Nor did it really occur to me until now that maybe I should, mostly because I have friends here that I care about and maybe they care about me the same way I do for them (apparently I do and yes, I've seen everyone's messages. I'm a little overwhelmed by them right now, but I will respond to them when I'm able).
Though the strange part is that I'm not actually desperate to jump back into tumblr. There are plenty of aspects that I dislike about this site and thus plenty of fandom communities here (I doubt I need to explain this to anyone). Even with being extremely selective of who I follow and being on top of my blacklist, there are still posts that slip through that I don't care about. I find myself scrolling way too much and ignoring a lot of posts. I just want to share awesome video game stuff I find along with share my writing; I don't care for discourse that spikes my anxiety and anger, thus doing little to aid my lifelong disease ("Try not to be stressed," says my doctor, who proceeded to order weekly bloodwork for I don't even know how long by now).
I've been trying to spend less of my time doing idle, passive shit - for a lack of better words - and actually being productive with something. So far, that's been working out well for me.
But there have been positives to tumblr, namely the friends I've made here. I've really connected with some lovely people that I don't want to lose touch with. And I've used this place as a platform for my fanfiction, which while small, has helped me continue connecting and I love that. I don't want to let go of that.
So I honestly don't know what will happen with this particular tumblr. I can't see myself putting the daily attention to it like I used to. In the past, if I was gone for a few days, I felt like I missed so much. Over a damn month? It's weird. I don't even know if bopping on weekly would even be worth it due to how much I miss. The rate that some people post is just boggling (I tend to keep a queue, but still, what the hell. I have a job and a life - I got shit to do). All of this is up in the air. I dunno.
With that out of the way, I want to address some other things, namely questions that have been sent my in my absence:
My health I'm doing a lot better. A lot less dying and a lot more being in remission and actually being a human again. I see my doctor in a couple of weeks and I'm going up to Maine this weekend to see a naturopathic doctor to help aid with my disease. I have to be on medication for the rest of my life. I am not happy about that, but my other option was internally bleed to death. To also help maintain this, I've made a bunch of lifestyle changes, namely adding more exercise to my routine every day. I've been relatively active, though since May, that all stopped, more so when my body stopped functioning in August. I'm slipping back into yoga and my boyfriend is teaching me to box to stay active. So far, so good.
My fics I wrote a bunch during my vacation up to Maine back in December, but I haven't touched anything editing wise since work blew up in my face. I have a lot of WIPs and my goal is to edit and post all of them before I write anything new. A bit of a daunting goal, but I'm up for the challenge. Yes, Darkness/Starlight is still going to be posted. It's completed; I just need to edit it. Likewise, the OT3 fic is done; I just need to format it and send it to my beta. All the drabble collections are - believe it or not - complete; just need to get back into the habit of posting them weekly.
My writing in general I really want to make a dent into my original work again. Last year, my biggest intention was to set up an author's website and establish a facebook page and twitter account for myself. That never happened. I don't want to ignore that. Sadly, I'm not the best at multitasking when it comes to original writing; I'm either working on one project or the other. I know the moment I start focusing more on my original work, there will be a lack of updates in regards to my fics. I want to do both and I'm not sure how I'll do that, but we'll see. I have so many ideas and at this point, I've been taking several AU ideas I've had and morphed them into original works. It's complicated.
My cosplay I am, in fact, still cosplaying. My group and I had plans last summer, but those all crumbled when I - spoiler - got sick. For this year, I'm still planning to go to PAX East (reprising Royce Bracket and if time permits it, I'll debut my Peach cosplay here. if not, probably reprising Midna), Anime Boston (definitely doing Canti (yes, from FLCL. no, I've never made armor before. yes, I'm screaming through this whole process) and Satsuki Kiryuin while Glynda Goodwitch and Julia are pending), and Dragon*Con (oh god, my group and I have yet to pin down anything for this. Potential cosplay groups we've talked about: Scott Pilgrim vs The World, Witcher 3, Mario Kart, Archer, Hyrule Warriors, Futurama, and a few more I can't remember).
My holidays They were quiet and uneventful - a fucking miracle in of itself.
That's kind of it. Please don't worry, guys. I'm sorry if I worried any of you. I promise I'm doing well and I'm happy and healthy. Thank you all for your support  ♥ ♥ ♥
