A series of events in Milan allowed the 141 to cross paths with you. Staying in a lavish French penthouse was far from what they had expected on a mission dictated by Laswell but her connections with your retired INTERPOL mother had brought them the extravagance of your home and lifestyle. Laswell had to threaten to have their court marshaled if they delayed their arrival home any longer. You thought of that brief moment in summer fondly as you left Gaz a voicemail. "I have a runway in New York coming up, let me know if you'll be on leave," you spoke on the phone, examining your manicured nails, "accommodations and champagne are on me."
"This is nice," Price said, dropping his duffle onto the marbled tile of their hotel room. "Are you kidding, Cap?" Gaz said as he opened every door into the massive suite, "This is fucking amazing." When they got off the plane at JFK, they had not expected a private driver who brought them to the ornate hotel. The room itself had four separate bedrooms with two bathrooms filled with the best amenities. Soap had taken the opportunity to run over and open a bottle of champagne while Ghost pilfered the small shampoo and conditioner bottles. While the men explored the vast rooms and fought over the beds, there was a knock at the door. Price opened it to reveal a well-dressed bell-hop boy, holding a tray with an envelope. "Four tickets sent by one of the models," he spoke and Price handled the black envelope with embossed pink lettering. "Hell of invitation," he muttered before he looked at the runway time and shared the details with his team. "Wonder what she'll be wearing," Soap mused as he turned to take over one of the bathrooms.
Behind the stage, there was organized chaos with models running around in their silk robes in between the stations. The chatter roared as they chatted with the various hair stylists and makeup artists. "First VS show?" your makeup artist asked as she applied glitter delicately to your primed lids. "Yes, but not my first modeling gig," you smiled as you felt the pressure on your closed eyes, "Versace was beyond a mess compared to this." The artist laughed as she continued to prep your look. You could see mixes of pink and gold applied to your lips and the apples of your cheeks. "We think an olive green liner would look stunning on you," she said before holding a green eyeliner pencil in hand. You nodded in response as you shifted a bit in your robe. You gently closed your eyes again as you envisioned your latest outfit for the night.
Weeks prior you had visited the city to see your outfit for the night. A sage green bra and panty set decorated with pink and glittery flowers to resemble a meadow. Your wings were made of a delicate rose pink chiffon that was reminiscent of a fairy. "Do you like?" the designer asked as you walked around the stand and examined every stitch and detail. You smiled as you nodded happily, feeling the soft fabric under your fingertips. "Any particular inspiration?" you questioned as you made sure to feel the weight of the wings. "The newest line of Victoria's Secret," she spoke dreamily, "the delicacy of nature."
With your makeup and hair done, you walked over to change and receive the final touches from the design team. The group walked rapidly around your figure, assuring every detail would shine when the lights hit your walk. "Have anyone special here tonight?" one of the designers asked as he cut a few loose stitches. "Just a few friends from Europe," you spoke, hoping you didn't sound too entitled. You wanted to talk more but your odd friendship with a small special forces group would definitely reach some tabloids. "You look perfect darling," another designer spoke and you nodded before beginning to walk in your heels. "You can mingle with the others. Your collection is after the classics set," she reminded. You took a deep breath and made some facetious conversation with the other women. They were in awe at your previous shows but you just simply talked as if each was a mediocre experience. "Alright ladies, walk begins in five," a voice called over the comms and you lined up accordingly. As you watched the excited group in front of you, you wondered what you would treat the 141 to for dinner. You were sure if someone knew this is what you thought of before a show, they would laugh.
"Move up, Y/N," the stage manager directed, pulling you out of your food-related musings, "almost time for you to go on." You moved forward, getting into the comfort of your model walk you had done so many times before. You took a deep breath as you heard the live music stream through the curtains and the ethereal light peek through. You looked down at your attire one last time before the model ahead of you returned and it was your turn to awe the show. "Go, go, go," you could hear the stage manager command as the bright lights and menagerie of faces met your gaze.
"I think this is her!" Gaz commented, leaning forward in his chair. "You've been saying that for the past four models," Ghost corrected before he turned to see who was coming out next. As the men directed their gaze to the stage, you confidently strutted onto the platform. They were glued to your figure, perfectly accentuated by the flirtatious lingerie set. The details were delicate and encapsulated your aura. "Fuck." Soap whispered under his breath as the glitter and flower additions to your ensemble shimmered underneath the light. Your wings bounced and looked like they flittered in the air as you made your way in front of the watching crowd. "She's a natural at this," Price commented as he watched the way you walked in a straight line with an air of elegance in each step. He also couldn't deny the way you shined on stage and how the cameras clicked in rapid succession. As you reached the end of the runway, you took an opportunity to look over at the seats you had picked for the 141. You gave a small wink before blowing a kiss in their direction.
Upon your exiting, there was a clamor amongst the group as to who the kiss was directed to. Primarily, Soap and Gaz were at odds thinking you made eye contact with them as you puckered your glossed lips. Price attempted to put a stop to them before Ghost spoke up. "I'm sure that was for me," he spoke quietly, leaving everyone to shelf the conversation and bring it up later over dinner.

Tumblr media
The lights splashed off of every surface, the usual green of a Slytherin house party was spotted with a festive red, flashes of gold from the lights that had been slung around the room. The smell of fresh pine and berries was drowned out entirely by the spice of firewhiskey and the sting of glitter-powder from the Weasley twin’s mini-firework poppers hanging in the air.
The classic setting of the annual Slytherin Christmas party.
Brushing around your upper thighs was the fluff of your dress, a pleasant warmth racing through your veins as your drink settled into your blood. Your body moved, swaying amongst those on the dance floor as your hands settled on delicate hips, Pansy’s own hands on your waist, you both moving together, her head tossed back. The lyrics to the song were shouted from her mouth into the crowd, not a care in the world as she soaked up the atmosphere.
You giggled, her head snapping back up, and a mischievous smile played on her lips as she pulled you even closer. “What, you don’t like my singing?”
“I love your singing, Pans. It’s truly wonderful.”
She only scoffed. You’d listened to enough shower concerts and drunken raves as her roommate over the years to know singing was one of the very few talents that Pansy Parkinson did not possess. The smell of her perfume flooded your nostrils, and she spun, dropping to the floor in a dramatic show that earned her a few cheers, including one of your own.
Jingle bells rang out from somewhere in the crowd, muffled in the noise, Pansy made sure to twerk in time to them, her arse grinding against you as you swayed. When she rose again, her sights were locked on Luna’s across the room, the blushing Ravenclaw was doing her best not to stare, and making a poor job of it at that.
“Oh, go put the poor girl out of her misery would you, Pansy? It’s obvious she’s into you, stop torturing her!”
She faked a gasp, spinning to face you, and raising a perfectly manicured brow. “Now, is that any way to go about a game of cat and mouse? No wonder you lost yours so quickly.”
“I didn’t lose! I got my man, thank you very much!”
“Yes, you did.” Frozen hands clutched your waist, pushing Pansy’s hands away, their chill seeping through the material of your dress as the tip of a cold nose brushed along your exposed shoulder. “Hello, amore.”
With a dramatic sigh and a glare at Theo, she sauntered away, onto her next game despite muttering about him ‘ruining the fun’.
The crowd swallowed her up again, leaving you alone. Leaning back into him, the cold of his clothes made you shudder, even when his arms wrapped around your waist and his lips left open-mouthed kissing along your exposed skin.
“You’re cold, Teddy. Where have you been?”
“Out, getting some more booze. Can’t host the best party of all the houses if you’re not a good host, hm?” Finally, you spun in his arms, catching his cold lips in a kiss, and he hummed happily against your mouth as he returned the affections with vigour. His tongue licked across your lower lip, tracing the faint taste of his favourite alcohol there. “That’s the kind of kiss I get when I go out on a beer run?”
“You’ve been out in the snow, I was just trying to warm you up.” You smirked, his eyes flashing cheekily at the insinuation, his hands slipping a little further around your body to your back, tugging you flush against him.
“Well, I’m still pretty cold. Maybe you should warm the rest of me up, huh?” His body began to shift, moving together with your own as you danced slowly, hips rocking together slowly. He positioned one thigh between your legs, a large hand splaying across your lower back to guide you in the movements. “You know, you look pretty cute in this little get-up you have going on here, Mrs Claus. But,”
You rose a brow, his eyes scanning over the red, strapless dress and trimmed white fur, the thigh-high socks you knew would drive him wild. All donned for the occasion, a cheesy dress for the Christmas pastry before you all went home for the winter break. Leaning in, his lips brush the shell of your ear, voice dropping;
“Penso che le tue calze starebbero meglio sul pavimento della mia camera da letto.”
“Are you teasing me, Teddy? I only understood about half of that.” You murmured, his teeth nibbling lightly on the shell until you gasped, before he pulled back, leaving another kiss on your jaw as he did.
“I’ll make sure you understand me just fine by the end of the night, don’t you worry.”
Your cheeks flushed, and he noticed, the red only enhanced by the green lights in the room, your bodies moving together as the bass pumped across the stone and marble floors. His once chilled touch now seared into you like flames from a fire. Your foreheads pressed together, breaths shared as the moment was lost on you both, drunk on the feel of his hands on your skin and the smell of him in your nose.
“Quite the little show you were putting on with Pansy back there.”
“Jealous?” You mused, and his eyes closed, a smile pulling at his lips as he shook his head a little.
“Not at all, cara mia. Turned on, but not jealous.” He angled his head down a little more, mouth close enough to your own to taste the sugary mint on his every breath, making you want to suck the candy cane flavour from his tongue like a drug. Theo had a unique way of emptying your head of thoughts, of all rationale, of making you feel safe and loved at the same time as putting snowflakes in your stomach, all with a simple touch or look.
“Good. You’re the only one I want under my mistletoe, Theo.” His hand dipped lower as you kissed the side of his mouth, squeezed your arse as you nipped at his jaw, traced the edge of those thigh-high socks when you rose to your tiptoes to suck on his neck softly.
“Maybe we should go find some then, sì?” He sounded as breathless as he made you feel, nonsense flirting pouring from both of your mouths as the party roared on around you both like a din in your ears. He was your anchor, drowning everything else out as you retreated to look at him, smoothing a thumb over the mark on his neck that he’d no doubt wear proudly until it faded.
Taking his hand in your own, you lifted your clasped fingers to your lips, kissing across each of his scarred knuckles as you guided him away from the dance floor. His gaze stayed fixed on your motions, lips parting for a short puff of breath before those dark eyes flickered back up to your own. With a cheeky grin, you spun your back to him just as he moved to close the distance, a groan from him vibrating against your back as he all but plastered himself to you once again, his steps matching your own as the two of you shuffled through the room.
“You drive me crazy, do you know that? Those eyes, that smile… this body in a dress like that.” Your only response was to add a little more of a sway to your hips as you made your way towards the drinks table, taking the long route around and letting him wait. “You’re bad, teasing me like this in front of all these people… naughty girl.”
“Oh, am I?” As you came to a stop, he murmured his response, a kiss to the back of your head and a covert smack to your arse as he leaned over you, swiping for two fresh plastic cups and searching the littered table top for a bottle with something left in. “Does that mean I’m getting coal for Christmas?”
“You’ll be getting something hard, alright.” He whispered, hips bucking into your backside, letting you feel the slight bulge beginning to grow there, and you melted back into him at his touch. His hand slides up from your waist, slides up to your throat, to cup your neck. “Perhaps a new necklace?” He murmurs, squeezing lightly. “Diamonds?”
“You two disgust me, actually.” Mattheo coughed, making you both jump a little as the bubble pops, and Mattheo shakes his head, gagging falsely. He leant across the drinks table, beginning to shake bottles, glass clinking as he drops them when they turn up useless. “Absolute animals, where has all my good whiskey gone?”
“Hello to you too, Matty.” Theo’s hand slid back down to a safer place, resting on your hip as he came to your side instead, letting you tuck under his arm and bury into his warmth and cologne.
“Hello, lovebirds. Do we have anything to drink?”
“That’s what I have been trying to find out.” Theo mutters, and you shrug.
“There’s always the mulled wine.”
“Wine is not supposed to be hot, dolcezza.” Your boyfriend’s face screws up, just like it does every time you say something that offends his national pride, and a bubble of laughter erupts from you, only making his expression deepen. He’d looked the same way when you’d mispronounced a dish on the menu of the restaurants he’d taken you to on your first real date, or when you’d brought up the trending ‘lasagne soup’ you’d seen online.
“At this point, I’ll drink anything as long as it gets me fucked up.” Your friend sighs, drawing chuckles from you both as you shuffle from Theo’s arms, and make your way towards the cauldron simmering in the less-crowded back of the room. They follow you slowly, the two boys chatting as you step away from the noise and bustle of the main party, and into the smokey, crowded adjoining den of the common room. Enzo is practically filling a couch of his own as he man-spreads across it, a blunt hanging from two of his fingers as he stares at the game of chess he and Tom have going, only making a move after three more drags from his cig.
Blaise and Draco sit by the fire, each with a glass of mulled wine and in a heated debate about something you can’t keep up with. Draco’s new car or Blaise’s new favourite holiday destination, perhaps. Maybe, even a way to combine the two. Taking three glasses from the cabinet and crouching before the hearth, several greetings float your way as you pluck up the enchanted ladle that has kept the brew stirring, the smell of orange and cinnamon reaching your nose from within the pot.
“Not sure why you got three glasses out, darling. I’m not drinking that.” Theo’s nose scrunches adorably as you pout up at him, pouring one steaming serving for Mattheo, first.
“Oh, please, Teddy. Try it for me?”
“No.”
Your scoff is all you can muster, filling another glass as Mattheo takes his and leaving one empty, returning the spell-bound stirrer to its task. Standing to your height once again, you clutch your drink between your hands, lowing steam from it. “You really hate mulled wine that much?”
“It’s nonsense. Wine isn’t meant to be hot.”
“It’s delicious this way!”
“Most wine is supposed to be cooled, actually.” He continued his argument, one you’d had for all the years of your friendship before ever getting together, and you sip it with amusement as he raves on about taking you for the perfect glass of wine someday.
“Better not kiss me again, then.” You interrupt, and his head snaps to you, several chuckles from the boys who have gathered.
“What is that supposed to mean?”
“Well, if you hate mulled wine so much, I mean, because that’s all I’ll be drinking for the rest of the night.” You take another gulp, ignoring the heat of it, just to make your point, and licking stray droplets of the red from your lips, watching him track the movement.
“Don’t be ridiculous, dolcezza. You know that I think wine always tastes its best when I suck it from your tongue.”
You don’t have a chance to speak again, not before his mouth is crashing down against your own and making you squeak in shock, the cup in your hands jostled enough to send some of the hot liquid spilling across your fingers. When you gasp at the sensation, his tongue plunges into your mouth, licking his way in like he’s memorising you all over again, and making your legs shake at the urgency. He has so many ways of kissing, Theo does. The lazy kisses, the high kisses, the good morning and good night and ‘I need you right now’ kisses.
This was different. This was ‘I love you’ and ‘shut up’ and passion all rolled into one, his fingertips digging into your body as he clung to you, pulling you so close that the spilt wine was no doubt soaking into his jumper and staining the green cotton. Pressing into him, you tried to return it, free hand slipping up into his hair, tangling in the soft strands as his mouth enveloped your own.
You almost dropped the glass in your hand, tingles shooting across every nerve you had just at the feeling of being near him. Falling for Theodore Nott had been one of the most intoxicating and reckless things you’d ever done. Everything had been just fine for years of friendship, years of laughter and jokes and hugs that never meant a thing, and then one day, the way you looked at him changed and your life had been flipped upside down.
If you could go back and change things, you would. You’d make sure to go back and let it happen sooner.
“So?” Your breaths come out in shallow pants as he pulls away to leave delicate kisses across your cheeks, prolonging the moment. “What’s the verdict?”
“On what?” He whispered stupidly, voice devoid of any understanding at all, deep and raspy as he nuzzled his way into your hair.
“I think we got mulled wine on your jumper.” Your own thoughts were just as hazy, just as blurred, and he backed away just enough to look down at the droplets, the liquid still staining your fingers.
Taking the glass from your hand, he placed it down on the mantlepiece beside the empty one, and brought your fingers to his lips. His eyes never left your own as he kissed and licked the wine away gently, sucking your skin clean and humming as he did, your lips parting but no words making their way out as Theo cleaned you up.
“Oh…”
“I suppose it doesn’t taste that bad…” Your head shook at his joke, his fingers weaving through your own when he was done. With a snap of his fingers, the enchanted ladle was topping your glass up, and filling his own. “Come on, cara mia, let’s sit down.”
Theo led you to the couch, sinking into the plush leather cushions and pulling you down to join him. Conversation was flowing like rich honey around you both as you settled, leaning into Theo’s side, his hand tucked against your hip, rubbing softly.
You sipped at your wine, letting the feeling take over, letting yourself drown in the blurry atmosphere of being with your closest friends and the love of your life. Enzo was telling a story between smokes, a story of the Weasley twins’ latest pranks that he’d managed to be witness to, and laughter filled the room just as much as words did, as he recounted the tale.
Theo raised his glass to his lips again, your attention moving to him instead, his throat bobbing with every swig he took, and when he pulled the glass away, you wiped a stray droplet from his mouth, sucking it from your finger. He pinched your hip in response.
“What happened to not liking mulled wine?” You teased as he clicked for the enchanted ladle, refilling both of your glasses, and his lips pressed together.
“I still hate it, but I’ll do anything to make you happy.” Is what he settled on, despite taking an impatient sip while it was too hot and scrunching his face up as his tongue burned. It may be an insult to his ‘perfect wine tastes’, but you knew that deep down, he loved it.
His hand moved to your thigh, rubbing up and down slowly. You hid your smirk in your drink, watching him grow more and more needy. It wasn’t long before he was lifting your legs up, twisting you to rest them across his lap. Taking pity on him and laying your arm over his shoulder, your hand moved to his hair, nails scratching lightly at his scalp.
It didn’t satisfy him for long, because only a few minutes into Blaise’s new debate with the boys, he was rubbing your thigh again. You offered a kiss, and another, but when his touches didn’t cease, you took his hand and moved it higher up. Tucking it against your upper thigh, you crossed your legs, trapping it steady between them and leaving a lingering kiss on the edge of his mouth.
He squeezed your thigh, grateful for the increase in affection, and slumped a little more into the cushions, taking you with him.
You drained your glass, adding your input to the story, and throwing in commentary as you went, between kisses shared with Theo, to keep him happy.
That satisfaction didn’t last long, however, when his hand began sliding its way up your thigh further still, inch by inch, and his lips were tracing your neck as he once again lost track of the conversation.
One drink down, two, halfway through a third glass each was when the lines became blurry enough that you didn’t mind your friends around so much anymore, but you did mind not having Theo’s tongue in your mouth. Clearly, he was just as affected, because as soon as your head twisted and your mouth closed over his, he was groaning happily, a grumble of ‘finally’, and leaning up to return the kiss with just as much vigour.
Your fingers were tangled in his hair, a slow kiss that was just enough to drive you wild, your crossed legs clenching each time he sucked, each little sound he made, each gasping breath before he was back. His hand, sandwiched between your crossed thighs, was squeezing occasionally, fingers tracing tantalising touches onto your skin and leaving goosebumps in his wake.
“Teddy…” You whispered, pulling back as your swollen lips stung from biting kisses, trailing your mouth over his jaw, peppering him with kisses as he bit back a moan at the feeling. You knew how much he loved it, how much he loved the way you’d lick at the hinge of his jaw, or the stretch as he tipped his head to the side to let you get at his neck.
Theodore Nott was a man who loved PDA and touches, no doubt about it, and he made you feel loved up enough with a single smile to grant him more than his fair share of affection.
“I missed you today.”
“You woke up in my arms this morning, dolcezza. We spent half the day together.” He whispered, and you pulled back with a frown, his head lazily tipping back to you and eyes refocusing as you deprived him of attention. “What?”
“Nothin’. I just…” Stroking a finger over his cheek, his head tipped into the touch, and he blinked up at you questioningly, waiting. “You didn’t miss me even a little bit?”
“No,” He murmured, your brows furrowing once again at the definitiveness of it. “Because you’re all I ever think about. I spent every minute getting ready to come back to you, and if that didn’t work, I started looking at your latest pictures. I can’t miss you when I know we’re going to spend the rest of our lives together.”
The fracture in your chest healed up in a second, bursting with heat and love and adoration instead as you pressed your forehead to his own. “Really?”
“Of course, amore. Do you truly not know what you do to me? The effect you have on me?”
“About the same you do to me, I suspect.” Your words were whispered against his puckered lips, and you gave in, another series of tender kisses until he was smiling too wide to continue.
“And what is it that I do to you? Tell me. I want to hear it all.”
“Oh, please don’t,” Draco whined, your head lifting to find him grimacing at you both as Blaise hid his laughter behind his hand. “I don’t think there’ll be any room left in here if Nott’s ego gets any bigger. If I have to listen to any more ‘I love you more’ ‘no, I love you more’ from you both, I’m going to be sick in the fireplace.”
“Don’t be bitter, Dray,” You teased, twisting to sit properly across Theo’s lap once again, your arm around his shoulders and your fingers in his hair, scratching at the base of his neck so that his eyes fluttered. “Just because you’re single at Christmas doesn’t mean the rest of us have to be miserable.”
“I’m not miserable, thank you very much. I’m free. I can’t imagine what it’s like to be shackled at the best time of the year.” Your laughter was hidden by Tom’s,  Mattheo’s and Blaise’s, and this only seemed to ignite the blond man more. “All Theodore does is whine and complain about whether he’s bought you enough Christmas presents, and if he picked a romantic enough card. Too stressful, I won’t do it.”
“Y’know, ‘won’t’ is not the same as ‘can’t’.” Your tutting turned his cheeks red as the other boys all fell over the edge into hysterics.
“She’s got you there, cousin.” Enzo teased, eyes red-rimmed and face a state of permanent relaxation from how much he’d smoked, but even he was sentient enough to tease Draco.
“I hate you all. I hope all your Christmas presents suck.” He scoffed, sticking his tongue out at you as he walked away, and you pinched Theo’s chin, smacking a dramatic kiss on his cheek;
“I have all I want right here, Draco! But I’m the one that does the sucking, not that you’d know anything about that.”
He flipped you off, Theo’s hand tightening on your leg at the insinuation as Draco left to no doubt go and find one of his usual roster girls to nurse his ego back up to standards. “I’m holding you to that later, mi amore.”
“I should hope so, Teddy.” Uncrossing your legs from your seat across him and placing one wobbly foot on the floor, his hand slipped up from your thigh to you arse, stabilising you with a squeeze as he smirked to himself, watching you adjust the hem of your dress and turn to him. Taking his hand from your butt and weaving your fingers together, you tugged expectantly as he finished off his third glass of mulled wine, and then yours, too. “Dance with me?”
“If I ever say no to that question, I want you to avada me, okay?”
Staggering to his feet as you laughed, he let you tug him toward the centre of the room. Your arms wrapped around his neck, his own around your waist, and the two of you began to sway out of sync to the music, noses brushing and smiles matching as you revelled in the festive atmosphere.
“It’s strange,” His words were quiet, and you offered only a questioning hum to his vague statement, stroking the tips of your fingers over the back of his neck soothingly. “Feels like we’ve always been like this. It doesn’t feel as new as it should. It doesn’t feel like we’ve only been together a few months. It feels like we have always been in love, just like this. It’s just… sembra il destino con te.”
You considered his words for a moment, letting them roll around in the blur of your mind. “Fate?” You whispered eventually, and the glow of the smile that broke his face as the few Italian words you’d been picking up on rang clear.
“Yes, mi amore. Fate. It feels like fate with you.”
“I love you, Theodore Nott.”
“I love you more, (y/n) Nott.” He teased, lips sealing over yours in a promise that one day that name would be true. Your heart skipped a beat, your swaying continuing as you pulled yourself up a little closer, leaning into him for support to continue the kiss. Theo was everything, everything you needed and never knew. “Good thing Draco wasn’t here to hear that.”
“He’ll find this one day.” You stole another kiss, and another as Theo leaned in to meet you halfway, his hand sliding up your arm to clasp with your own. Lifting one hand away from his shoulder, Theo took a real step now, swirling you in a proper dance as he held your joint hands out, and giggles burst free as he began to twirl you around the room.
Weaving between furniture and friends, Regulus barely had a chance to snatch his legs out of the way from where they rested on the cluttered coffee table before Theo was waltzing you past him, stumbling around the room in a clumsy mess of loving and drunken movements.
Suddenly, over the top of the music in the room, came the baritone voice of one highly inebriated Blaise Zabini, crooning the lyrics to ‘All I Want For Christmas’. You smiled, joining him with the lyrics, then Mattheo and Theo and Enzo too, as the boys hunted for the tucked-away karaoke microphones that had been hidden in one of the cupboards.
With no batteries and no purpose, one was thrust into your hand. Just like that, you found yourself dancing the span of the room with all of them, belting the incorrect lyrics to any Christmas song you could think of between laughs and swigs of drinks.
Mattheo dropped first, out of breath and lay across a whole couch with a bottle of whiskey clutched in his hand, and a blunt in the other. Theo stood beside him, lifting Mattheo’s limp hand up every so often to steal a drag.
He occasionally added the words, mostly happy to stand with his arm around your waist as you danced against him, aiming all the particularly romantic lyrics his way with a smile.
“Well, someone has a little too much holiday cheer, huh?” Pansy emerged again, with suspiciously swollen lips and a dazed-looking Luna on her arm. Though, Luna could also just have eaten a few too many of those brownies she brought too, you think…
“What can I say?” You said through panted breaths, the carol still playing in the background as Blaise and Enzo continued to butcher the Christmas classic without you. “My true love gave it to me. How goes your evening, Pans?”
Her eyes widened for a fraction, before narrowing into a glare at your insinuation, and Luna only giggled. “Our evening has been going quite well, has it not, Pansy?”
“‘Course it has, Loons.” She mumbled, tightening her arm around the smaller girl’s waist, and guiding her towards the couches. When Luna couldn't see, she stuck her tongue out at you, and you pouted to hide your laughter, shoulders shaking in a betrayal.
“Your true love, huh?” Theo questioned from behind, making you jump in shock, and you turned around to swat at his chest.
“Don’t fucking sneak up on me like that, Nott.”
“Uh-huh.” He shook his head at your antics, leaning in to steal a kiss from your lips before you could swerve away. “I’m getting bored of this party now. How about you come and show me a little more of that true love back at my dorm?”
“Lead the way.”
“So you can stare at my arse the whole time?” He chastised, but took your hand in his own, beginning to lead you both back through the crowds, your departure covert before anyone could make you stay.
“The quidditch training does you well, what can I say?” Leaning forward to pinch him as he walked, he almost stumbled over a step, reaching behind himself to grab at your wrist, tugging you around to his side as he scowled. His cheeks were red, but there was a grin he was trying to hide, shining his eyes, and it broke free after another second.
“You’re a menace.”
“You do this to me, what can I do? You drive me crazy, Teddy.”
“Don’t say things like that to me unless you want me to bend you over that drinks table right now.” He muttered, the words tumbling from his lips like he was reading off a shopping list, and your heart skipped a beat in your chest as a shock of heat raced down your spine. “I can’t get you back to my dorm any faster than this, but you’re testing my strength.”
He began to push through the crowds with even more force, no longer polite as he wove but simply pushing his way through any gaps or spaces, dragging you behind him until he was ushering you up the stairs. Through the cold halls, the music dulled and faded to nothing but a distant throb of the bass, and even that was sealed out to nothing as he closed his dorm door, locking it with a spell.
Pressing him back into the wood, Theo was happy to go with your movements, pliant to your every wish as the bliss of the night continued to blanket you both. Your lips met his, a simple kiss he hardly had a chance to return before you were kissing at his cheek, his jaw, down in a trail along his neck, and over his covered chest.
Sinking to your knees before him, a shot of cold raced across your skin from the cool stones of the floor. He looked down at you, fingers brushing tangling into your hair, and smirking as he held it out of your way.
Your fingers began tugging at his belt in return, undoing it and slipping the leather out of the loops, he let out a happy sigh. Slumping further against the wood, you tugged at his jeans, mouthing every inch of exposed skin along his hip bones as they slid down, boxers too, his already hard cock bouncing up to smack across your cheek.
Hot, wet skin throbbed against your face, and you turned, tongue out and dragging along the length of his dick, before swirling around the tip. He hissed through his teeth, eyes dark and half-lidded as he stared down at you, that serious expression that always made you weak in the knees melting away to something else.
“Oh, you’re going to let Santa come down your chimney, dolcezza?”
Even in a moment like this, with your lips wrapped around the tip of his cock, Theo managed to make a joke, your laughter muffled against him as you pulled back, and his own laugh was cut off by a moan at the feeling. His hips bucked, tip prodding at your lips as you grinned up at him, pinching his thigh for his poor excuse of a joke and terrible timing. Surely, you thought, you should be turned off or angry, something other than complete love filing you as he made jokes right now. Instead, it only made you feel more for him, his goofy nature behind closed doors that only you got to see, his sweet and funny and silly side that was hidden from most of the world. It was all part of what made him.
Somehow, his stupid jokes turned you on even more, a twisting in your stomach like snowflakes in a storm, your thighs clenching together. So, you matched his energy. If sexy Christmas puns were what he wanted, you’d certainly win.
“Will I get a white Christmas this year?”
Licking the underside of him, from balls to tip, he let out a throaty groan, angling your head with the hand in your hair and sinking himself deep enough to make you gag, never taking his eyes away from your lips. “Oh, we’ll paint it white.”
His gaze stayed glued to your mouth, watching as he set a slow pace, controlling the bobbing of you up and down his cock. Only half in, and he was already beginning to fray at the edges, fixated on watching himself disappear in and out of your mouth. Taking him by surprise, you pushed a little further, all the way until you gagged and more, swallowing as much of him as you could until tears were pricking at your eyes.
Again and again you let him take over, just to snatch it away when he least expected it, driving him over the edge, until he was muttering curses in Italian and throbbing in your mouth. Again, you took him down, deep until you couldn't breathe for the weight of him in your airways, and he fisted at your hair hard enough to burn.
Your throat flexed around him, swallowing and wet as spit gathered at the edges of your mouth, stretched around his considerable girth. Only when your lungs burned for breath did you pull back, gasping and messy as you stared up at him. “Santo fanculo, tesoro. La tua piccola bocca calda sarà la mia morte.”
“Turns me on when you talk dirty to me in Italian, Theo.”
“Is that so?” He muttered, hand cupping your throat, one thumb under your chin to tip your head up, and with a wink, he spat onto your waiting tongue. “Ingoialo, perché qualsiasi altra cosa ti do sta andando in quello stretto poco fica.”
A whimper slipped free, and he tugged you up by the fistful of your hair, uncaring of where your mouth had just been as he smashed his against it, tongue forcing into your mouth and kissing you so hard you could barely stand. Stripping himself the rest of the way, he made quick work of your own clothes, between keeping up with your kisses, and leaving his own collection of marks on your neck, Theo had you both naked and gasping in record time.
“I love unwrapping my presents,” He whispered into the flesh of your breasts, tugging you down into his lap as he sat, your hips rocking against his wet cock, mixing with your juices as he bumped against your clit with every movement. “Told you those stockings would look better on my floor.”
“God, just kiss me, Theo. Before you make me lose my mind.” Your hands were on his cheeks, tugging his face back up, and he was muttering a spell as your lips met. Using his nose to nudge your attention upwards instead. He took a nipple into his mouth as you leaned back, staring up at the small green plant he had conjured above you both, and giggling through a moan as he scraped his teeth across the bud. “Is that mistletoe?”
“But, of course, mi amore. It was the one thing missing.”
Flicking your gaze over the room, you took in the mess of Christmas decorations the pair of you had put up. You’d taken to decorating his dorm like it was decorating your first house together, celebrating your first Christmas as a couple.
A small, wonky Christmas tree sat on the dresser, a garland over the window, a wreath on the outside of the door and lights woven onto the headboard of his bed, flashing a myriad of colours on his profile now that only made him more beautiful.
Smoothing back the hair from his face to see him fully, you pecked his lips, and again, “I love it.”
“Anything to make you happy.” His words were cheesy, but so smoothly spoken in such a deep voice that you shuddered nonetheless, and his eyes sparkled. “What else do you desire, my love? You’re already in my lap, so why don’t you tell me what you want?”
Pausing your rocking, you shuffled back just enough, dragging a nail down his chest and between your bodies, cupping his balls and giving them a squeeze in your palm as his mouth dropped open, and eyes rolled back. “Why, you got a present for me in your sack, huh?”
He was groaning and laughing at the same time, his face buried in your neck as you continued your ministrations, his whole body tight and every muscle locked as you did, until he was shaking, unable to take it any longer. “That’s what you want? It’s all yours. How do you want to take it?”
“Let me go for a ride, be your vixen.”
He bit at the juncture of your neck, before lifting his head, eyes playing out a plan as he looked to you. “Actually, I’ve been thinking about some different uses for these lights… interested?”
“Always.” You breathed, letting him twist you around with ease, until you were on your back amongst the pillows, arms being stretched above your head, and thrill racing through your body like a new high as you felt the wires and lights coil around your wrists. With a test tug, they pinched at your wrists, leaving you strung up to his headboard like nothing more than a decoration yourself, and he whistled at his work as he pulled back to admire you.
Spreading your legs apart for himself, he settled onto his stomach, and anticipation overtook you in waves. Squirming on the bed before him, Theo chuckled to himself, blowing a stream of cool air onto your clit, making you squeal. “You look better than a whole fuckin’ feast. Look at you…”
He licked a single, firm stripe across your core, lapping up everything that had gathered so far, tongue parting your folds, and prodding at your clit as he did. When your hips bucked up to follow his face, legs crooking and feet planted on the bed, he placed a hand flat across your hips, pinning you down.
“Be a good girl and have some patience.”
Your whimper spurred him on, back in again and again, until the noises he was dragging from you were closer to cries and sobs. He teased at your entrance, dipping his tongue inside just enough to drive you wild before pulling back and focusing his attention on the needy bud between your legs. Sucking and nipping, he dragged you to the brink, all before pulling back and leaving you hanging, marking your thighs with his bites and bruises.
Again and again he played, until you were a writhing mess under his hands, tugging at the wires holding you down, desperately rocking against his face as his arms wrapped under your legs. And only then, did he give in. Just like that, every light touch became demanding, every teasing drag became more like a punishment, as Theo took what he really wanted.
Screams of his name from your lips bouncing off the worlds, your juices a mess on his face as you came, and he wouldn't let up. Pleasure so intense it blinded you, an orgasm tearing through you, your body spasming from the sensations, back arching, and his only response was to slide two fingers into you and abuse your clit as he scissored them.
Sobs became wails, your voice cutting out and catching as you panted for breath you could no longer drag into your lungs, all as he traced filthy words and claims onto your body with his mouth, while pressing to that spongy spot inside of you that made you see stars.
“Oh, Theo— fuck, baby, I can’t—”
“You will.” He murmured, a third finger slipping in, and your body went taut, hips leaving the bed entirely as you seized, a second orgasm tearing through you and juices gushing as he kept his pace, riding you through the high and over the crest of it. He took everything you had to give him, cheeks shining and eyes locked on your movements, you could feel the burn of his stare into your skin, branding you as his as he almost killed you with his mouth. “Una ragazza cosí brava cazzo per me.”
As soon as he pulled away, your thighs snapped shut, your trembling body collapsing against the mattress as you gasped for breath. “H-Holy shit, Teddy.”
“Good?”
“Shut up.”
“That’s not a very nice thing to say to someone who just had you begging for mercy, is it?” He tutted, pushing your knees apart, the cool air in the room sweeping across your still soaked core as you continued to leak, no doubt dripping onto the expensive silk sheets he owned. “Perhaps you no longer deserve my mercy.”
“Let me at least catch my breath,” You muttered, one of his hands coming to land beside your head as he leaned over you, the other pulling your leg up onto his hips. Brushing his lips across your own lovingly, you smiled, puckering them for a kiss,
“No.”
With that, Theo slammed himself into you, your eyes rolling back as your still fluttering walls were forced to accommodate his length, your core twisting so tight you thought you might come again just like that, feeling him slide deeper and deeper, all the way, until your hips were sat snugly together. Your fingers became fists, jerking at the lights and rattling them on the headboard as your instinct to cling to him, to tear his back apart with your scratches took over.
Instead you were restrained, all you could do was cling to him with your legs, return his eager kisses as best you could, head spinning, utterly overwhelmed with the feeling of being his. He gave you a chance to adjust, at least, his own face screwed tightly. Shallow pants on his lips as he steadied himself not to burst right away, and you made sure he struggled, clenching around him and rolling your hips into him until he had to hold you down.
“Stop teasing me,”
“I’m not doing anything.” Your denial was useless, his glare said everything, that he knew you were lying, and he would make you pay for it, too.
“Oh, you’re a vixen, alright. Piccola troia.”
“That’s right,” You whisper onto his lips, “But I’m your little slut.”
Just like every time you understood his first language, his eyes lit up, sparking with fire and adoration as you claimed him like he’d claimed you, lips searing as you kissed him. His hips began to move, in rhythm with your kisses and picking up speed.
Every thrust of his hips has the breath knocked from your lungs, stretched out and full of him in the most perfect way. Before you’d been together, your sexual experiences had been limited and disappointing, and your first time with Theo made you realise just how good sex could be. It didn’t matter how or when, whether it was bent over a table in the back of the library with his fingers in your mouth to keep quiet, or in the astronomy tower, high and lazy, it was always so good.
But this,
This was something else. This was mindblowing, your toes curling as he pounded into you, taking you to new heights of pleasure. His skin was slick, as was your own, sliding together perfectly as you shared breaths, foreheads pressed together, no longer even having the strength to kiss, nothing but the movements of your bodies.
“You’re so fuckin’ good, tesoro. So perfect for me.” His praise covered you like a blanket, only adding to the way you felt, helping build you higher and higher toward the orgasm that would blow the others out of the water.
“Oh, Teddy…”
“Yeah, you feel good?” One extra sharp thrust, your nails digging into your palms, and you began to roll your body up desperately into his own, searching for a release that would leave you in bliss for hours to come. “I love to make you feel good, you make me feel so good too.”
“So good, Theo. So big,” Your words were strained, eyes rolling back, and he licked his way across your mouth, a cheap and lousy kiss that barely counted, but it gave you enough of a taste of him to explode, Shaking as you came, your body was out of your control, more and more as your orgasm kept going.
His pace faltered, the way you screamed his name enough to make anyone feel dizzy, a dazed smile on his face as it reached his ears. One, two, three more thrusts and he was collapsing down onto you, shuddering against your body as he smothered you, moaning your name with hot breaths on the shell of your ear as he came.
His cock twitched between your walls, filling you up deep inside and making your jaw drop open just at the feel of it. He was still going as he pulled back, pulled out, the last of his load dripping down your folds and into the bed sheets, leaving you shuffling at the feeling, your whole body still reeling in the after-effects.
He pushed sweaty hair out of his face, staring down at you and admiring the mess he had made you into.
Your legs were still shaking as he leaned over to untie you, his own fingers a little unsteady and weak as he worked, freeing one wrist and kissing it softly on the red-marked skin.
“What the hell am I supposed to do without orgasms like that for two whole weeks?” You sighed, and his laughter erupted from him in a burst so hard he almost collapsed down on top of you with the suddenness of it. You could only smile up at him as he stared down at you, hovering over your face and trying to calm his amusement. “What?”
“I was trying to be romantic just now,” He chastised, the blow never hitting, and he worked on freeing your other wrist, and kissing that one too. When you had the use of both arms back, you propped yourself up as best you could, watching as he wandered away to retrieve a cloth. “You could always send me sexy letters in the post about all the things you think about, and I’ll make them all come true when we get back.”
He reappeared in the room, and you raised your brows. “Oh, you want a wish-list of all my sexy, nonsense fantasies, huh?”
“I want literally nothing more than a sex bucket-list with you.” A quick cleaning charm, and a soothing swipe of the cool, damp fabric between your thighs, and then he was crawling back up the bed, collapsing down amongst the blankets to rest his head on your chest as your arms wrapped around his shoulders. His head bounced with your residual giggles, his arms circling your waist as best they could, snuggling into you as you lined the top of his head with kisses. “I love you, cara mia. You’re all that was on my wish-list this year.”
“I love you more, Teddy.” Another kiss, to his forehead as he looked up to you, a devoted smile on his face. “You’re everything I could ever wish for.”

What's Mine is Yours (Prompt/Short Snippet)
"You know that I want you." The villain's nails, perfectly manicured, skimmed over the swell of the king's parted lips. His breathing caught somewhere in his throat, stilling at the touch. "But the only thing that I want more than you...is your crown. Don't you love me?"
Beneath the villain's intent gaze, the king upon his throne was certain that he looked far less like the ever-poised ruler, and far more like a smitten puppy. He wet his lips just to watch the villain track the movement. "You know that I do," he answered, settling his hands oh-so-gently, against her waist, as if the villain were a delicate flower and not a weapon capable of carnage and destruction and world-ending bloodshed.
The villain's fingers closed around the king's chin, leaning closer. Her smile rivaled the brilliance of sunsets. "Then prove how devoted you are to me. I know that you want me, too. And you can have me. I only ask one little thing of you." Her voice softened, narrowing the world into just the two of them. "Get down on your knees and offer me your everything, sugar."
The very air around them seemed to hold its breath. The king rose to his feet, straightening to a height a full head above the villain, though there was still no mistaking who was truly in control. He turned and lowered himself to his knees, tender hands brushing her thighs to guide her to sit back atop his throne in his place.
His throne suited her far more than it ever could him. Surrounded by gold and precious jewels, the villain glittered, all the more striking.
The king lifted his crown, heavy and dripping in rubies, to perch it on the top of the villain's head. He sat back on his heels as their eyes met; drawn together with all the dazzling intensity of lightning meeting water. Deadly to those around them. But gods, such a beautiful sight.
"You are everything to me," the king spoke finally. "All that I am is yours. My kingdom, my throne, belongs to you. I only ask one simple thing of you. Take me to be yours too?"
The villain laughed, a little breathless, heady and cheeks flushed a rosy pink on the high of the moment. Some might interpret the action as patronizing.
The king perceived instead that, just maybe, she felt a little smitten too.
She clenched a fist in the front of the king's expensive shirt, yanking him upright to lock him in a searing kiss.
The world was theirs together.
This is a very short snippet, so I don't mind if you use it as a prompt! Just tag me if you do, please, so I can read it! :) A little piece of this dialogue popped into my head earlier and plagued me until I wrote it out lol Hope you like it. I think this makes for a really interesting power dynamic (and yay for female villains!)
PS, sorry for disappearing again lol I'm really going to try to do better! I haven't been reading much at all lately either so i need to catch up on all my faves' writing!!

Spend It All- Day 1, 10:28 AM
Elizabeth stood in the changing room, the soft, luxurious fabric of the champagne-colored dress clinging to her slender frame. It shimmered under the soft lighting, the sequins catching the light with every small movement she made. She turned slowly, taking in her reflection, but all she could see was a girl trying desperately to be strong.
Tears welled up in her eyes, but she blinked them back, refusing to let them fall. The dress felt beautiful—too beautiful—but it didn’t matter. None of this felt real. She didn’t care about the dresses, the jewels, or the extravagant meals. All Elizabeth wanted was her mother. Whole. Healthy.
She drew in a sharp breath, her chest tightening with grief as she tried to push the thoughts away. She wasn’t supposed to feel like this, not when her mother was trying so hard to give her something special in these last few days. But the truth was, the more they planned and indulged, the more she felt the weight of what was coming.
Elizabeth also, however, looked stunning in this dress. “Did I see a tiara earlier?” She wondered. Trying to pull herself back from the edge of grief.
"Elizabeth?" Rose’s voice came from just beyond the door, soft and loving. "How’s it going in there?"
Elizabeth quickly wiped at her eyes, adjusting her expression into something neutral. She was good at this—at hiding how she felt, at keeping her mother from worrying. “I’m looking like a princess, Mom,” she called back, her voice steady, betraying nothing. “I’ll be out in a minute. Can you find me a tiara?”
She took one last look at herself in the mirror, biting her lip to keep the sob from escaping her throat. She had to hold it together. For her mom.
Slipping out of the dress, Elizabeth hung it carefully on the rack, choosing another one—a sleek, deep blue gown that made her look older than her 14 years. She was still adjusting the straps when she stepped out, forcing a smile as Rose looked up from her chair.
“Oh, Elizabeth,” Rose said, her eyes lighting up. “You look stunning.”
Rose gently placed the tiara on Elizabeth’s head. “We have a hair stylist too.”
Elizabeth smiled faintly, spinning just enough to let the dress fan out around her. “Thanks, Mom.”
They spent the next few hours trying on different gowns—Elizabeth in glittering gold, sleek red, and elegant black, while Rose sat quietly, smiling, offering small comments and compliments. They both pretended everything was fine, as if this were just a regular shopping trip, like any mother and daughter.
The jewelry was exquisite and oh so sparkly. Elizabeth wore necklaces as crowns and earrings as rings, playing around trying to make her mother laugh.
After they had chosen their dresses, the waiters reappeared, ushering in equipment and supplies for their manicures. A stylist appeared with brushes and bottles, while another set to work on their nails. Elizabeth sat in the chair, watching as her hair was curled and styled, feeling like she was outside of her body, watching someone else live this extravagant life.
“Can I get library nails?” Elizabeth asked.
“What would that look like?” Her mother asked.
“Tiny books!” Elizabeth exclaimed.
“No problem.” Her mother giggled.
Rose, in the chair beside her, looked relaxed. She glanced over at Elizabeth, giving her a warm, knowing smile. “You’re doing great, sweetheart,” she said softly.
Elizabeth looked away so she could blink away the tears, she had to make it through.
Later, they sat side by side at a small table, a tray of tiny sandwiches and iced coffee between them. Rose nibbled on a cucumber sandwich, her thin fingers delicate around the edges of the bread. Elizabeth could barely eat, her stomach too knotted with everything she was holding inside.
Rose, however, seemed focused on something else entirely. “I’ve been thinking about the first day of spending,” she said, stirring her iced coffee slowly, her eyes lost in thought. “I want it to be something fun, something that brings you joy.”
Elizabeth managed a small smile, though she felt disconnected from the idea of joy. “What did you have in mind?”
Rose smiled warmly, as if picturing it all in her mind. “How about this? You rent out a taco truck. Don’t worry about the details, Evelyn will take care of all that. But you rent the truck for a day and give out free tacos to the homeless.”
Elizabeth’s heart ached at the idea. Her mother was so full of hope. “That sounds... perfect,” she whispered, her voice soft, but she knew she would say anything to make her mother happy.
Elizabeth’s eyes brightened, a flicker of excitement dancing there. “And give out fast food gift cards!”
Rose nodded.  “Joy and good.” She whispered.
As they finished their sandwiches and coffee, Elizabeth glanced at her mother, her heart breaking all over again. She didn’t know how to feel about all this—how to reconcile the glamor and luxury with the loss looming over them—but for now, she would hold on. For Rose. For as long as she could.
The two of them spent the next few hours filling in a calendar with ideas of how to spend $125,000 per day. Evelyn jotted down notes and kept track of when would be the best dates for each endeavor. All while waiters and waitresses saw to their every need.

“If you wouldn’t mind taking your nose out of the nepeta cataria, Desire,” You sighed out while the cat like Endless all but rolled in the catnip garden. “You are crushing the poor plants and they are not happy about it.”
“Oh, but sweet sister-mine, this garden is just… exquisite!” Desire purred, stretching their limbs and aching their back, absolutely lavishing in the gentle scent of the plants.
“It’s cat nip,” Their golden eyes peered up at you, and with one last exaggerated roll, Desire rose to their feet with the grace and elegancy of a cat. They prowled over to you with languid steps and brushed their perfectly manicured nails across their skin.
“Can you blame me for enjoying such beauty?” No, considering Desire was the most self-absorbed entity you had ever met.
“Of course not, but the plants are getting irritable and when that happens they get vicious. Come, let us leave them while they are still placid.” Gesturing to the nearest archway of the garden, your eyes followed Desire as they sauntered out of the garden. You followed shortly behind them. You fell into step with Desire, feeling the curiosity burning within their being. But you were content to let them simmer, if you were going to answer any questions, they had to ask you.
“Are you really going to make me ask?” You made an unapologetic sound in the back of your throat. “Speaking of which, when do Iget to meet that child you’ve been hiding from the family for eons? Does anyone get to meet them?”You paused in step and looked up at Desire. Would they be cruel to you when they learned the truth? Perhaps, perhaps not. Well, there wasn’t anything crueler than what you had already experienced so you supposed it didn’t matter in the end.
“Very well, follow me,” Desire’s golden eyes glittered as you led them through your castle and towards your personal courtyard. Winding through the halls, you emerged into the open air courtyard and slowly made your way to the bench where you had periodically found yourself sitting for hours on end, staring at the lotus flower. You took a seat and let Desire poke around and investigate the space, certainly distracted by the decadent and rare flowers that bloomed. Their fingers ran over soft petals and caressed leaves before turning on their heel. They stared at you, their mind thinking over the possibilities of what you had meant by showing them this garden. Then gold settled on the lone flower in the pond.
“Don’t think too hard, Desire, I’d hate to overwork your mind,” You softly spoke, your gaze cool as you stared at them. Their lips pressed together and slowly moving towards the edge of the pond, Desire observed the lotus flower.
“What happened, my sweet little Dawn,” Desire questioned gently, their eyes shifting to look at where you sat. “What happened that left you shut away in your realm for eons?” You studied Desire’s face for a few moments, taking in their genuine sadness and strain. “What had made you of all beings,so vicious and cold with your words?”
“Not even an Endless is impervious to the complications of pregnancy,” You explained simply, reaching down to brush your fingers along the bleeding heart blooms. “There never was a child born from Dream and I.” You sighed and shifted in your seat, moving to lay on your back. Staring up at the blossoming flowers and moon in the sky, you pursed your lips. “I suppose it was my punishment for loving someone I shouldn’t have.” Desire took a seat next to you and brushed their fingers along your forehead, sliding them into your hair.
“Oh, I doubt that, my sweetling,” Desire told you, caressing your cheek. “Our creators hold you most dear, just like the rest of us. They wouldn’t punish innocent little you over something like that.” For once there was none of their scheming and devious nature boiling in their eyes. Then a thought crossed their mind… if you had been suffering all alone these past eons, why did Dream think you were in paradise with your shared child? “Dawn, does Dream even know?” You scoffed, your facial muscles twitching beneath Desire’s gentle stroking.
“Of course not, he has not even bothered to request an audience or attempted conversation.” You snipped out, your beautiful eyes tightening with agony and pain. “He’s far to prideful to acknowledge what happened and made it quite clear that I was but a mistake. He does not deserve to know and can live with not knowing as his punishment because if he really cared about the repercussions our relationship, he would have made an attempt to visit by now.”
“That’s not enough of a punishment, my sweet Dawn,” Desire told you, their golden eyes glittering in anger. You pursed your lips and sighed yet again. Was it not punishing enough that Dream thought you were living a happy carefree life with your supposed child? That you had cut him from everything the moment he had broken everything you had built together? ”You are the most precious of us, and he puts a lasting wound on your heart for eons? That is not nearly enough of a punishment for the pain he has caused you.”
You closed your eyes and tried not to think about how in under twelve hours time, that crushing heartbreak would be back to cripple your already mangled and almost unrecognizable essence. While you squeezed your eyes tight and tried to drown out the impending hurt with thoughts of flowers and your garden, Desire continued to stroke their fingers through your hair. They weren’t thinking of how much you were hurting any more, no, they were way past that point. There was only one thing on Desire’s mind and that was to spill family blood. Dream hadn’t just hurt Dawn, he had hurt you so incredibly and left you to pick up the shattered remains of what was left of his love by yourself… only to lose that too. Yes, Desire was out for blood, for no one, not even Dream, was allowed to bring tears to your eyes without retribution.

Lounging under the large leaves of the summer palms, you all but felt like you were going to melt away in the summertime heat… the verbena, cosmos, and geraniums, however, were exploding with happiness from the heat. As much as you would like to call for cooler weather, the plants that liked hot summertime temperatures were due for their time to bloom and it would be unfair of you give other plants their time and not these ones. So you would suffer in the ungodly heat while your plants lavished in the heat and the naiads basked on the sunbathing rocks.
At least you weren’t alone in your misery… was it cruel of you to be happy that you weren’t alone? Perhaps, but you and those that detested the heat were at least in misery together. Conjuring a lily pad, you lazily began to fan yourself.
“Refreshment, my lady?” Rolling your head, you look up to see Dionaea carrying a pitcher. You hoped that it was freshly pressed juice from the orchards.
“Oh yes please, Dion, I am positively melting and in great need of a drink.” You sighed out, looking up at her life she was your savior. The handmaiden chuckled at you and poured a cup, handing it to you.
“I’ll be around should you need a refill.” Dionaea twittered before fluttering away. You sipped the juice and sighed happily, relieved to have something to break up the monotonous heat. Humming underneath your breath, you drank the juice until it was gone, and eyed the glimmering waters. Taking a swim was a tempting thought, but you really should get back to work… your job was Endless. Oh well, it wasn’t like anyone was working in this heat.
Reaching up, you unclipped the pins holding your chiton on your body, allowing the decorative material to flutter to your feet. Dressed in only a nearly sheer shift, you jogged your way to the waters edge and stepped into the crystalline water. You wade out so the water gently lapped at your waist and rested your arms on the surface of the water, smiling at the way the water further refreshed your overheated body. Looking beneath the waters surface, your eyes caught sight of swaying plants and naiads darting around with carefree elegance.
One of the beautiful woman swam her way up to you, head popping up from the waves. She held her hand out to you. You took it with a smile. The naiad pulled you beneath the waves and swam with you at her side, leading you through the extraordinary underwater garden that thrived below glimmering waters. She pulled you through a wall of swaying kept that brushed over your skin in a cool hug, brought you to a shelf of coral and diamond, and even gave you a glimpse of the newly hatched turtles swimming along the main current.
You were guided along a field of aquatic flowers at an impossibly fast pace, and then like a great reveal, the naiad city was revealed to you. It had been a few centuries since you had last visited this water tribe, you preferred to interfere as little as possible, and the underwater city once again took your breath away. Glowing lights dotted the cityscape, illuminating the sculpted buildings made out of shell, stone, and pearl. The pace at which the naiad pulled you slowed down as she neared the heart of city and your floated downwards. Your feet finally hit the light stones of the courtyards and bidding the naiad goodbye, you watched at she swam off.
All around you naiads hustled and bustled throughout the market, going about their day. You took to floating through the stalls, observing the offered goods and sneaking little treats to the children who were darting around while their parents shopped. You supposed you were the grandmother to them that always snuck candy when the parent weren’t looking and fully enjoyed the mischievous little faces that glowed with happiness. The youth in your realm always brought such joy and life to you.
You couldn’t help the little pang of pain that emerged in your heart at the sight of their little faces. Why couldn’t you have this happiness? Why did you have to spend eternity alone? Sighing out, you moved on from the market and slipped to the shadows of the city, moving between buildings using back alleys and slips. Eventually you made it to the manatee farm and were immediately greeted by the heard floating over to you. They nickered and snorted in happiness, bumping your hands with their heads.
The manatees never seemed to be in a bad mood, they were always just floating around in happiness. You were envious of that, to be happy 24/7, it sounded like a dream… No, don’t think like that Dawn. Scolding yourself for thinking of him, you busied yourself with cooing over the manatee calves and stroking their little faces. They preened at the attention. Stroking one, you watched as it did a cartwheel in front of you and squealed. Laughing, you pet the little one on the head before looking upwards at the sun which was blotted out by the water. Dusk would be coming soon… so you looked back down at the little ones and patted their sides.
“Come now, little ones, let’s get you back into your corral for the night.” You directed them to the air bubble set up not that far away that enabled them to breath in a gulp of air before returning to the open farm. Entering the bubble, the upper half of your body hit open air and your hair stuck to your skin as the manatees gathered around you, all preening for treats. Chuckling, you stroked their noses one last time. “I don’t think that your caretakers would take kindly to me to spoiling their herd.” One of them had the cheek to let out a mournful whimper, playing the part of a mammal that was being mistreated. You snorted. “I mean it! I’m not going incur their wrath!”

Meteor Shower
Summary: Icy has a musical career full of scandals and controversies. She, Darcy, and Stormy strive to beat the faeries in spite of them. But there are things in Icy's past that threaten to work their way into the present and ruin their image. Bloom knows her secret.
Icy slams her eyeshadow onto the dresser, cracking the plastic lid. “I have had it with these losers!” She fidgets with her choker and practically yanks it off.
Darcy and Stormy flinch when it too slaps onto the dresser.
“Nobody has any taste! It’s always those prissy little pop fairies who get the awards and attention. Nobody knows good music anymore!”
“They never did…” Stormy starts.
“They wouldn’t know real music if it bit them in the ass and…” She slams her fist onto the dresser, the eyeshadow palette leaps and full bottles of absinthe rattle. “I swear, the minute you add an electric guitar and take out the autotune you forfeit your chances to win anything! Apparently to get any awards you need to sacrifice real talent and make recycled, rehashed garbage. The same easily digestible bullshit!”
“Well that’s why it’s called pop music, it’s popular.” Darcy points out.
“It’s fucking genaric, that’s what it is.” Icy swipes one of the bottles and flops onto the couch, something between a pout and a scowl etched onto her face.
“What do you want an award for anyways?” Stormy asks. “It’s not like we need mainstream approval.”
Icy shrugs. “I want the award money, Stormy. I’d like to be able to buy a new guitar or some new boots.” She glances down at her pair of platforms. The worn, tattered look might work for some outfits, but she’d like a pair that works with everything.
“Well maybe we can take out the guitars, add some autotune…”
“And sellout, Darcy?” Icy finishes.
“I’m not saying that we have to make some silly pop single. There are other genres. We could try Witch House. Darkwave. EBM.”
“That cybergoth shit? Do I look like a cybergoth to you?”
“Well no. But…”
Icy gives her a dismissive wave. “Forget it.” She snaps. “Just sit down and help me finish this.” She lifts the bottle. It helps keep her mind from wandering back to days when awards came in abundance. Keeps her from wondering when it had all gone wrong. Sometimes she thinks that she is teetering right on the edge of having a problem. Another problem rather, on top of the ones that she already has.
Stormy holds out a glass and Icy fills it until a soft green steam rolls off the top. She takes a sip from her own glass, the absinthe burns cold as it works its way down her throat, leaving a strong tang of licorice on her pierced tongue.
“We'll figure something out.” Darcy murmurs.
“Yeah. Sure.” Icy taps a sleekly and darkly blue manicured fingernail on the bottle’s face and watches the bubbles fizzle to the top. “We also need to figure out how to get that loser Lucy to stop stalking around backstage.”
“Well isn’t it a good thing…that we have a dedicated fanbase?” Stormy quirks a brow.
Icy shrugs. “It’s agitating, that’s what it is.” Sometimes she thinks that she is simply getting tired of the music scene and the spotlight, however dim it has grown. Maybe it is well past time to quit and let the tasteless idiots of the world have their silly fairy pop group. Maybe she should have quit after that first scandal. She grips the bottle tighter. But she can’t let those fairies beat she and her fellow witches at this too.
.oOo.
Everything is glitter and glitz; first there is the golden shimmer of eyeshadow, second there is the sparkling of sequined fabric catching in the spotlight, third there is the glint of the confetti on the ground in shades of yellow and rose gold. Fourth there are the smiles, sparklingly white behind lips painted with  pastel pink lip gloss smelling of strawberry and cherry. Fifth there are the personalities—shiny, bright, and bubbly. Lastly and most glimmeringly are the voices. Voices like summer and springtime, rays of sunlight and gossamer butterfly wings. There are six of them Topaz, Diamond, Ruby, Goldstone, Chalcedony, and Kyanite.
Chalcedony sings like waves crashing against a pink sand shore and a shower of petals.
Diamond has the voice of December, of a soft and quiet snowfall.
Goldstone has the voice of midsummer sunshine, of a smoldering July.
Ruby’s singing is more of a feeling, the thrill of being so close to the finish line with a competitor only centimeters behind.
Topaz’s voice is lemon cakes, soft, pillowy, but with a very bold zing.
Kyanite sings the way that fireflies dance over a pond just before they leave for the rest of the summer.
Chalcedony is the fan favorite. Soft and innocent.
Diamond is the face of the group with her cutting, cold beauty.
Goldstone is her warmer counterpart and the group’s rapper.
Ruby can dance and she does it exceptionally.
Topaz provides excellent background moves and harmonizes well.
Kyanite is the lead singer but it is easy to forget.
Kyanite doesn’t mind.
And it doesn’t bother her that her stage name is screamed less often and less loudly than the rest. Mostly they scream for Chalcedony or Diamond anyways. It is almost deafening.
And it puts a tickle in her tummy—she wasn’t supposed to have come this far and that is why she hadn’t prepared herself for it properly and likely why she is a background character in her own girl group. Or maybe she just hadn’t expected it to be so overwhelming. Years of small crowds have taken her guard down. She has been doing this for ages, since she was a little girl.
And every year she somehow seems to lose more and more of her nerve. She finds it quite peculiar that she was so much bolder as a child. But then, mistakes are more forgivable with youth. A missed note or a trip and fall is endearing when a child does it. When a teen fumbles it is something to gossip about for days.
The magazines love gossip.
Popstars do not.
She does not.
Chalcedony is particularly sensitive to gossip.
Kyanite takes a deep breath and looks down the stage. Ruby who always stands to her right gives her a thumbs up. Topaz, who always stands to her left, flashes a smile. If this goes poorly she will have at least one thing going for her; five things really. She will have them.
She picks up her microphone and holds it to her lips. She closes her eyes, it helps her connect with the music. She likes to think that the rest comes naturally. But her feet don’t move as intuitively when she is thinking about it. Her speech is always softer too. When she is nervous she tends to sound more like Chalcedony than herself and that throws off the harmony that they had been practicing. Her voice is the deepest of all of them, they can’t afford to lose it…especially not to nerves.
Kyanite is running out of time, Diamond finishes her verse and Ruby begins hers. She has only until Topaz finishes repeating Ruby’s last lyric to prepare herself for her own verse. So approximately fourteen seconds.
She inhales and the spotlight falls upon her.
Tonight her voice comes like a rippling pond, vacant of fireflies but full of stars and moonlight.
Tonight she sings better than she ever has. An amazing start to a new era of MeTor music and a sublime start to an end that she doesn’t see coming.
Tomorrow she will meet Valtor.

Lady Owl, Sir Dragon
Linktober 2023 Day 6: Mask The Calamity looms on the horizon, unease humming through the thick castle air. Why not hold a masquerade ball to ease the tension? Should they all survive, Princess Zelda will be of marriageable age. There's no better way to introduce her to the true character of the eligible bachelors of Hyrule than to put them in masks and fill them with liquor.
Fine silks and linens swirled around the room. Feathers, gems, crystals, gold, and silver. Dozens of carefully painted masks smiled at him from every side. While some resembled Hylian faces, many more held features like the other tribes of Hyrule or animals that inhabited the wilds. Glittering Zora, silver-beaked Rito, foxes, eagles, ravens, boars. But only one owl.
She danced in the center of the room. Her sixth partner that evening spun her around with such gusto that she almost looked like she would be sick. Silvery feathers graced her long gown, dripping down her sleeves like wings. Gold and silver covered her mask, metallic feathers covering her delicate features. Though she wore no tiara, a select few at the ball knew her true identity: Princess Zelda.
Link, as her appointed knight, had been informed of her chosen mask and so knew to watch for her. He stood on the edge of the dancefloor, keeping a careful eye on the princess as she spun around again. If the orchestra could play something a little slower next time and give the poor girl a break…
His own mask sat awkwardly on his face. Unlike most of the other guests, he couldn’t afford to commission something form-fitting for the masquerade. He hadn’t intended to wear a mask at all, not wanting to impair his field of vision. Recent whisperings of a Yiga threat had the King on edge, and though Link disagreed, the King decided that having Link unmasked would send too alarming of a signal to the other nobles. So, for the sake of the illusion that all was well, Link chose a mask.
That morning, the King had invited him to choose from among several masks that had been left behind over the years. Most were far too extravagant for him. Without having very fine clothes to wear for the ball (he was still permitted to wear the royal guard uniform, as he would not be the only one so dressed), he chose what might be the least offensively fine. A single horn rose from the center of the green-scaled mask, styled after the legends of Farosh. He didn’t think the snout was quite right, but very few adults had ever seen the dragons that floated through the skies, so Link might forgive the inaccuracies.
A tap on his shoulder momentarily drew his attention away from the princess. A white fox smiled at him from beneath her long muzzle. “I haven’t seen you dancing with anyone yet.” Her voice held a slight slur. The scent of champagne reached his nose. “Why is that?”
“I don’t dance.” Link answered curtly, resuming his observation of the princess. A seventh suitor took her by the hand. For Hylia’s sake, let the girl sit down!
The fox would not be deterred. She swayed on her feet, watching the dancers as they began another set. The music swelled again, a tingling of strings in the air. “It’s much easier to dance with a pretty lady if you ask her, rather than staring at her like a creep.”
Link glared at the fox. He tried to search what features of her were visible. Her wig matched her mask, concealing even that piece of her identity. A glint of glass behind the eyes of her mask hinted, at least, that she lacked full vision. That narrowed the identity of this new enemy down to at least four dozen. He bit his tongue. While he would defend himself by stating that he was most definitely not staring at the princess like a creep, he couldn’t risk divulging Zelda’s identity to anyone. Especially not this annoying fox.
The fox snickered, hiding her grin behind a manicured hand. “Then again, you’d just be one creep among many. That guy looks like he’s trying to take some of her feathers home with him.”
Link jerked his head back toward Zelda. Her current partner had one hand firmly around her waist, though his fingers crept slowly downward. Though Link only wore the ceremonial saber of his rank, having left the identifying Master Sword in his room, he still envisioned running that handsy noble through with the blade. The gurgling blood of his death might deter other such suitors in the future.
“Go save her then, hero.” The fox’s voice teased. He felt a push on his back, sending him stumbling forward onto the dancefloor. Though he turned back to snap at the young lady who insisted on embarrassing him, the white fox disappeared into the crowd – leaving him in quite an awkward position.
The dance soon ended. Suitors once again swarmed the elegant ladies, begging for their hands. They reminded him of gulls on a beach, vying and competing for a scrap of bread. And, though he hated himself for it, he had to join the fray if he wanted to keep any other freaks away from the princess. This tomfoolery had gone on long enough, and Zelda was too nice to tell them to back off.
Link was not that nice.
He shoved his way through the crowd, hardly caring how many young nobles he pissed off. A few backed off at the sight of his uniform and sword alone. Good. Maybe it would remind them that this was still the King’s Ball, not a tavern.
“Your H-“ Link started, though quickly caught himself. “Lady Owl, may I have this dance?”
Zelda blinked at him, perhaps taken aback by his guess as to her identity (if she caught his mistake) or by the forcefulness with which he pushed aside an older man dressed as a boar. Her lips parted slightly, glistening with blood-red paint. “You may, Sir Dragon.”
Her gloved hand fit neatly in his.
While Link had not intended to dance tonight, he had prepared for such an occurrence. Several of the older guards agreed to teach him the basics earlier that week. And though Link hesitated to call himself adept at any skills of society, he could understand a dance just fine. Just like forms in sparring, every action had its reaction, every step its counter, and a rhythm to which he must adhere.
Rather than her waist, Link rested his other hand upon the last of her ribs, anchoring his fingers firmly where they would not descend and offend her. If no one else would dance with the princess like she deserved any respect, he would fill that void.
Her gentle hand settled onto his shoulder. The dance began.
Slow, deliberate steps led her across the floor. No extravagance or dips, only spinning when the dance absolutely called for it, and even that he made sure to keep controlled. He also made a point to keep a clear view of the gaps in the crowd – routes out for Zelda in case she wanted a break from the dancing.
“I didn’t expect you to hold me like I’m made of glass,” Zelda remarked, an amused smile on her lips. “Given the way you shoved that duke out of the way.”
Link swallowed hard. A duke?! Hylia above, if the King ever found out… He forced the thought of reprimand from his mind. He’d just have to plead his case to the King later. There were only so many royal guards at this party, and only one wearing a Farosh mask. “My apologies, Princess,” Link replied, intentionally deepening his voice. Not that he thought she’d recognize his natural one. He’d never spoken more than a full sentence to her since meeting her. Really, now that he thought about it, probably less than that. The only thing he’d ever said to her was “Yes, Your Highness” upon her inquiry as to whether he had truly pulled the sword from the pedestal on his own. After that, her gaze turned so icy cold that he didn’t dare to speak again.
Yet, now she spoke to him again. Not that she knew who he was. If she did, she’d probably punch him in the gut for daring to touch her.
She titled her head, a bit like the bird she wore the face of tonight. “You seem to know my identity, guardsman. But I do not know yours.”
That didn’t sound like a question. He spun her around again, letting his hand rest again upon her ribs. The music began to shift into a second movement.
“I could order you to tell me.” Zelda threatened, her green eyes holding steady, searching what she could of his face beneath the dragon mask. Link didn’t think she would recognize him. She didn’t even like looking at him.
Again, not a question. Link remained silent, swaying gently and keeping a close watch on the seething suitors nearby. A few of them had taken other partners in the meantime, ladies whom they treated just as recklessly as they did the princess.
“Very well.” Zelda huffed. “If you won’t tell me your name, at least tell me why you insisted on dancing with me. And that, guardsman, is an order.”
Link’s throat tightened. She’d certainly mock him for it. But an order was an order. “You’re too nice to tell those other men no.” He swallowed hard. “Forgive my boldness, Your Highness. I couldn’t watch you get tossed about all night. You looked miserable.”
Zelda’s eyes widened in shock. For a moment, she remained silent as well. “That is quite bold of you to say, guardsman. What made you think I was miserable?” Another spin. She narrowed her eyes at him, waiting for a reply.
Well, Link, you had a good run. When the King has you executed in the morning, he’ll send a nice letter of explanation to your mother. Link’s mouth went dry. He took a breath, trying to complete the sentence in his head before he tripped over the words. “Your smile. It’s fake. When you’re actually happy, you smile with your teeth. The right side of your mouth rises before the left.”
Zelda tensed underneath his hand. “Very… observant of you, guardsman.” She frowned, scrutinizing him from behind metal feathers. “But how do you know when I’m really happy? You’re rather confident in your assessment.”
Link nodded, parting from her for a moment as they walked around another couple, rejoining again. “You’re happy when you get to set aside your training for a few hours. That smile comes out when you speak to Ladies Purah and Impa. When you sit in the library and read science books by the window.”
Her lips thinned, pressed together in thought. “And you thought, perhaps, that you could make me happy by dancing with me?”
“No, Your Highness.” He answered. “I only wanted to give you a break from pretending to be happy.”
Her eyes widened. The music slowed, coming to an end. The guests clapped, showing their appreciation before the next song began.
Link bowed low, then turned on his heel and slinked back into the crowd.
Or rather, he would have, if not for the hand that caught his again.
“Wait a moment, guardsman.” She said, her firm hand holding him in place at the end of the dancefloor.
Link obeyed, though Zelda did not issue another command. Their eyes locked, her emerald green burning straight into his soul. He felt so certain she meant to tell him something else, but no further words passed between them.
Eventually, she released his hand.
Link did not dance any other rounds that night, resuming his post and mission, dutifully watching the Princess. He watched her as she turned down suitors, took the hand of the white fox (whose streak of red and white hair fell loose by the end of evening), drank champagne, and only danced with those she chose to. It wasn’t a full rebellion by any means. In the morning, she would be obedient and quiet once again. She would speak in a small voice to her father, saving her frustrated shouts for Link. But, when he caught her eye again across the ballroom several times later that night, the right side of her mouth rose before the left.

Hottest Summer Nail Colors and Designs
As the summer heat rolls in, it’s time to bring the season’s hottest trends to your fingertips! Summer nails are all about vibrant colors, bold designs, and playful patterns that capture the energy and warmth of sunny days.
From neon brights to refreshing pastels and chic patterns, here are the hottest summer nail colors and designs to try out for a trendy look.
Tumblr media
1. Neon Brights
Colors: Electric pink, neon green, bright yellow, and hot orange.
Design Ideas: These shades are ideal for a full-coverage look that grabs attention, or for creating neon French tips. A neon ombré effect across each nail can also add a cool, gradient effect.
Neon brights embody the spirit of summer—bold, carefree, and fun. They’re particularly stunning on sun-kissed skin, making these shades an instant hit for beach trips, festivals, or poolside lounging.
2. Tropical Pastels
Colors: Soft mint green, sky blue, pale coral, and lavender.
Design Ideas: Try a minimalist design using these pastels as base colors, with subtle line art in white or silver. For an extra playful look, incorporate tiny fruit decals (think pineapples, oranges, or strawberries) on accent nails.
Pastels bring a fresh and calm vibe, creating a perfect blend of warmth and relaxation. They work well as base shades for intricate nail art, including tropical florals and abstract designs.
3. Coral Crush
Colors: Shades of coral from vibrant pinkish-orange to softer peachy tones.
Design Ideas: Coral is perfect for ombré effects or for adding shimmer over the top. You can also go for coral polka dots or waves over a neutral base for a playful, summery vibe.
Coral is a classic summer shade that has made a comeback this season, and it looks fabulous with casual as well as formal outfits. The vibrant tone is versatile and flattering for any skin tone.
4. Ocean Blues
Colors: Deep navy, turquoise, aqua, and sky blue.
Design Ideas: Go for an ocean-inspired nail art with wave effects, seashells, or subtle glitter to mimic sunlit waters. Alternatively, try ombré designs from dark blue to lighter aqua for a beachy gradient look.
Blue shades evoke the serenity of the ocean and are perfect for beach lovers. For a minimalistic touch, add white accents for a crisp, summery contrast.
5. Bold Reds and Pinks
Colors: Fuchsia, candy apple red, and magenta.
Design Ideas: Classic red nails are always in style, but you can elevate them with glitter accents or a glossy finish. Try fuchsia tips on a pink base for a fresh twist on the French manicure.
Red and pink hues bring a bold and vibrant energy to your nails, and they’re easy to wear with any outfit. These classic shades work well alone or with added glitz for a more glamorous look.
6. Metallic Magic
Colors: Gold, silver, rose gold, and iridescent shades.
Design Ideas: Metallic nails make a statement on their own, but they’re also fantastic for creating geometric patterns or adding accents to bold colors. Go for full metallic nails, or apply metallic tips over a solid color base.
Metallics add an edge to your summer look. They’re also easy to wear for both day and night, giving you an elegant, shimmering effect perfect for warm, sunny days.
7. White Out
Colors: Crisp white, pearly white, or ivory.
Design Ideas: White nails look great as a standalone color, but they’re also ideal for mixing in with nail art. Use it as a base for colorful florals, abstract art, or tiny decals for a fresh, sophisticated look.
White nails are a go-to summer trend because they make every color pop. They look amazing against tanned skin and pair well with just about any outfit.
8. Floral and Botanical Prints
Design Ideas: Try vibrant floral patterns on a pastel or nude base for a refreshing look. Palm leaf patterns or tropical flowers add a lush, botanical vibe.
Floral and botanical designs are perfect for summer, capturing the season’s lively, colorful essence. A floral design on an accent nail or two adds a fresh, playful element.
9. Minimalist Lines and Dots
Colors: Black, white, gold, or pastel lines over a nude or clear base.
Design Ideas: Minimalist nail art continues to trend, with fine lines, geometric shapes, and small dots creating a chic look. This style is perfect for those who want something subtle but stylish.
Minimalistic designs offer a modern, understated take on summer nails, making them ideal for anyone looking for a clean, sophisticated style.
10. Jewel Tones
Colors: Ruby, emerald green, sapphire blue, and amethyst.
Design Ideas: Jewel tones are perfect for full coverage on each nail or for adding accent dots over a white base. They also work beautifully with gold or silver accents.
Jewel tones are rich and luxurious, adding a pop of color without overpowering. They’re a chic choice for summer evenings and are easily paired with accessories for a coordinated look.
Tips for Keeping Your Summer Nails Fresh and Stylish
Protect with Top Coat: Seal your nail art with a top coat to ensure it lasts, especially if you’ll be spending a lot of time in the water.
Hydrate Cuticles: Summer can dry out cuticles, so be sure to keep them moisturized to prevent chipping.
Match to Your Wardrobe: Choose colors and designs that complement your summer wardrobe for a coordinated, polished look.
Experimenting with these colors and designs will ensure you’re on-trend and expressing your personality through your nails all season long. Whether you go bold or keep it simple, these summer nail trends have something for everyone.

Bridal Nail Extension Trends Every Bride Should Know
When it comes to planning your wedding day look, every detail matters, from the dress to the hairstyle to the makeup. But one aspect that sometimes gets overlooked is your nails. For many brides, nail extensions have become an essential part of their wedding preparations, adding that final touch of elegance and sophistication. Whether you're looking for something classic or trendy, bridal nail extensions can help you achieve the perfect look for your big day. In this article, we’ll explore the latest bridal nail extension trends that every bride should know, so you can walk down the aisle with confidence and style.
1. Classic French Tips with a Modern Twist
Tumblr media
The French manicure is a timeless choice for brides, known for its elegant and understated look. However, modern brides are giving this classic style a fresh update with nail extensions. Instead of the traditional white tips, consider opting for soft pink, nude, or even metallic tips. These subtle changes can add a contemporary feel to your bridal nail extension while still maintaining that timeless charm. For a more personalized touch, you can also add delicate designs or a touch of glitter to the tips.
2. Elegant Ombré Nails
Ombré nails have become increasingly popular among brides who want a soft and romantic look. This trend involves blending two or more colors seamlessly on each nail, usually starting with a lighter shade at the base and gradually transitioning to a darker shade at the tip. Ombré nail extensions for weddings can be customized to match your wedding color scheme, making them a versatile choice. Soft pastels, blush pinks, and creamy whites are popular choices for brides, creating a dreamy and elegant effect.
3. Intricate Lace Designs
Lace is a staple in bridal fashion, so it’s no surprise that lace-inspired nail extensions are trending. This delicate and feminine design can be created using intricate patterns that mimic the look of lace fabric. Whether you choose a full lace design or a more subtle accent on one or two nails, lace bridal nail extensions add a touch of sophistication and romance to your wedding look. For an extra luxurious feel, consider adding tiny pearls or rhinestones to the design.
4. Floral Accents
Floral designs are another popular trend for bridal nail extensions, perfect for brides who want to embrace a natural and romantic vibe. These designs can range from simple, hand-painted flowers to more elaborate 3D floral accents that create a textured effect. Soft, pastel-colored flowers are ideal for a classic wedding look, while bold, vibrant blooms can add a pop of color and personality. Floral nail extensions for weddings can be customized to reflect the flowers in your bouquet or the overall theme of your wedding, making them a unique and personal choice.
5. Minimalist Chic
Tumblr media
For brides who prefer a more understated look, minimalist nail extensions are a trend to consider. This style focuses on simplicity and clean lines, often using neutral colors like nude, beige, or soft pink. A single accent nail with a subtle design, such as a tiny gemstone or a delicate line of glitter, can add just the right amount of sparkle without being too over the top. Minimalist bridal nail extensions are perfect for brides who want a chic and modern look that won’t overshadow their dress or other accessories.
6. Glamorous Metallics
Metallic nail extensions are perfect for brides who want to add a touch of glamour to their wedding day look. Gold, silver, and rose gold are popular choices, offering a luxurious and eye-catching effect. You can choose to go all out with fully metallic nails or opt for metallic accents, such as a stripe down the center of each nail or a metallic French tip. For a more unique look, consider combining metallics with other trends, such as ombré or lace designs, to create a bridal nail extension that truly stands out.
7. Statement Nails
If you’re a bride who loves to make a statement, then bold and creative nail extensions might be the trend for you. Statement nails are all about expressing your personality and having fun with your wedding look. This trend can include anything from vibrant colors and bold patterns to elaborate 3D designs and unique shapes. Whether you opt for a single statement nail or go all out on every finger, this trend is perfect for brides who want their nails to be a conversation starter.
8. Pearl Embellishments
Pearls are a classic symbol of elegance and sophistication, making them a perfect addition to bridal nail extensions. This trend involves adding small pearl accents to your nails, either as a single focal point or scattered across the nail for a more intricate design. Pearl-embellished nails are perfect for brides who want a luxurious and timeless look. Pair them with a classic French manicure or a minimalist design to create a bridal nail extension that exudes grace and style.
9. Matte Finish Nails
Matte nail extensions have become a favorite among modern brides for their sleek and sophisticated look. Unlike traditional glossy nails, matte nails have a velvety finish that adds a unique touch to your bridal look. This trend works well with a variety of colors, from soft pastels to deep, rich tones. Matte nails can be combined with other trends, such as lace designs or metallic accents, to create a bridal nail extension that is both trendy and elegant.
10. Customized Nail Art
For brides who want a one-of-a-kind look, customized nail art is the way to go. This trend allows you to work with your nail technician to create a design that is completely unique to you. Whether it’s incorporating your initials, wedding date, or a special symbol that represents your relationship, customized bridal nail extensions add a personal touch to your wedding day look. This trend is perfect for brides who want to create a lasting memory of their special day.
Finding the Perfect Nail Salon in Kolkata
Tumblr media
When it comes to getting your bridal nail extensions done, finding the right nail salon is crucial. If you’re in Kolkata, you’re in luck—many reputable nail salons in the city specialize in bridal nail extensions and can help you achieve the perfect look for your wedding. Whether you’re looking for a classic French manicure or a bold statement nail, a good nail salon in Kolkata will have experienced technicians who can bring your vision to life.
When choosing a nail salon, consider the quality of products they use, the expertise of the technicians, and customer reviews. A top-notch nail salon in Kolkata will also offer a variety of bridal nail extension options, ensuring that you find a style that suits your taste and complements your wedding dress.
Conclusion
Your wedding day is one of the most important days of your life, and every detail matters—including your nails. With so many bridal nail extension trends to choose from, you can easily find a style that reflects your personality and enhances your overall wedding look. Whether you prefer something classic, romantic, or bold, these trends offer a variety of options to suit every bride’s taste. If you’re in Kolkata, visiting a professional nail salon can ensure that your bridal nail extensions are done to perfection, leaving you with beautiful nails that will last throughout your special day.

Tips for Long-Lasting Summer Nails:
Now that you've chosen your perfect summer nail design, you'll want to make sure it lasts through all your summer adventures. Here are some tips to extend the life of your manicure:
Use a high-quality top coat and reapply every few days.
Wear gloves when doing dishes or cleaning to protect your nails.
Apply cuticle oil daily to keep your nails and surrounding skin hydrated.
Avoid prolonged exposure to chlorine or saltwater, which can damage your polish.
Touch up any chips immediately to prevent further peeling.
DIY vs. Professional Summer Nails:
While many of these trendy summer nail designs can be achieved at home with some practice and the right tools, others might require the skilled hand of a professional nail technician. Don't be afraid to try simpler designs yourself, but for intricate patterns or techniques you're not comfortable with, it's worth visiting a salon.
Remember, nail art is all about having fun and expressing yourself. Whether you opt for a DIY approach or professional service, the most important thing is that you love your summer nails!
Matching Your Nails to Your Summer Wardrobe:
Your summer nail design can be the perfect accessory to complement your warm-weather wardrobe. Here are some ideas for pairing your nails with popular summer styles:
Beach Day: Pair your ocean wave nails with a flowy beach cover-up and oversized sunhat.
Summer Wedding: Opt for elegant floral nails to complement a romantic summer dress.
Music Festival: Rock those neon geometric nails with a bohemian-inspired outfit and statement jewelry.
Office Chic: Choose subtle pastel ombré nails to add a touch of summer to your work attire.
Night Out: Let your holographic or glow-in-the-dark nails shine alongside a little black dress.
Remember, these are just suggestions. The beauty of nail art is that it allows you to express your unique style, so don't be afraid to mix and match as you see fit!
Nail Care for Summer:
While focusing on trendy designs is fun, it's crucial not to neglect the health of your nails, especially during the summer months. Here are some additional tips for keeping your nails in top condition:
Stay hydrated: Drinking plenty of water benefits not just your body, but your nails too.
Protect from sun damage: Use a hand cream with SPF to prevent UV damage to your skin and nails.
Take breaks from polish: Give your nails time to breathe between manicures.
Eat a balanced diet: Nutrients like biotin, vitamin E, and protein contribute to nail health.
Be gentle: Avoid using your nails as tools to prevent breakage and splitting.

Nail Art Trends to Watch in 2024
Nail art has come a long way from simple solid colors to intricate designs that make a statement. As we step into 2024, the nail art scene is buzzing with creativity and innovation. Whether you’re a seasoned nail artist or someone who enjoys a good DIY manicure, there are several trends to keep an eye on this year.
Minimalistic Designs Minimalism continues to reign supreme in the world of nail art. Clean lines, subtle colors, and negative space are all the rage. Think of a nude base with delicate geometric shapes or a single line art drawing. These designs are perfect for those who prefer a sophisticated yet understated look.
Bold and Bright Colors On the opposite end of the spectrum, bold and bright colors are making a splash. Neon greens, electric blues, and vibrant pinks are not just for summer anymore. These colors can be incorporated into your nail art all year round. Try a bright base with contrasting accent nails or combine different shades for a playful ombré effect.
Textured Nails Texture is becoming a significant trend in nail art. From matte finishes to velvet and even 3D embellishments, textured nails add a unique dimension to your manicure. Consider adding tiny pearls, studs, or crystals to your nails for an elegant touch. Alternatively, you can experiment with textured polishes that give a sand or velvet effect.
Abstract Art Abstract art has found its way onto nails, offering a perfect canvas for creativity. These designs often feature bold brush strokes, splatters, and unexpected color combinations. The beauty of abstract nail art is that there are no rules, and each nail can tell its own story. This trend is ideal for those who love to express their artistic side through their nails.
Metallic and Chrome Finishes Metallic and chrome finishes are perfect for adding a futuristic touch to your nails. Silver, gold, and rose gold are popular choices, but don’t be afraid to experiment with more unconventional colors like metallic purple or green. These finishes can be used as a full nail color or as an accent to create eye-catching designs.
Eco-Friendly Nail Art As sustainability becomes increasingly important, eco-friendly nail art is gaining traction. Many brands are now offering non-toxic, vegan, and cruelty-free polishes. Additionally, reusable nail art tools and biodegradable glitters are becoming more widely available. This trend not only looks good but also helps reduce your environmental footprint.
Personalized Nail Art Customization is key in 2024. Personalized nail art allows you to create designs that reflect your personality and interests. From initials and zodiac signs to favorite quotes and tiny illustrations, the possibilities are endless. Personalized nail art makes your manicure truly unique and meaningful.
Nail art in 2024 is all about self-expression and creativity. Whether you prefer minimalistic designs or bold, statement-making nails, there’s a trend for everyone. Don’t be afraid to experiment and mix different styles to find what suits you best. Happy painting!
