WARNING: FLASHING LIGHTS
Out of all the flashing lights GIFs, this is probably gonna be the flashiest and harshest on the eyes. So, sorry in advance. But yeah, this was a fun GIF to edit together. I always love beam clashes and laser super moves so I thought I'd my favorite (Iron Man's Proton Cannon) and one from another game I can green screen (Dizzy in Guilty Gear Xrd Revelator). I followed this guide to green screen GGXrd Rev 2.

I think I've seen you talk about Xrd's inconsistent timeline but man, stuff is a bit. Wow. Currently copying down all of the Conclave's lines, and there's inconsistencies with what they talk about at what time.
In the Sign Arcade Mode, there's an identical scene, but held on different days. In Slayer's, they discuss Zato's revival on Oct 1. But in Zato's, they discuss the same thing on Sept 30.
Not to mention the repeated scene of them saying "things are going all according to plan and we just have to wait for the Cradle to start", (the second time you time you see them in a particular arcade mode) happens on drastically different days, and I haven't finished going through all of it.
In Slayer's it's Oct 5, Millia's Oct 12, Sol/Ky is on Oct 25.
This doesn't really matter to anyone ever. But it kinda matters to me because this timeline of the Conclave's scheming is wack. How frequently are they holding these meetings, and which ones are them actually discussing which stuff? Ough.
That's all from me. Just airing my woes here.
To be fair, Xrd's cutscenes were basically all done on a shoestring budget back in the day.
It's nothing like what they can do now via outsourcing and various other studios who can work their Magic on the latest Unreal Engine.
The timeline inconsistency was very real, however... and I think part of the problem lay in the fact they had different staff working on different scenes and not everything was properly communicated to everyone to BE consistent.
Also, Revelator's production was several times higher than Xrd Sign's, so many cutscenes went from talking heads to actual animated gestures.
This certainly beats the "visual novel maze" of older games of yesteryear... back when players didn't know how to get all the endings (some of which were SO SECRET you had to read a guide on GameFAQs just to figure out how to catch certain passages of dialogue).
And let's not forget the superbosses you could accidentally run in to if you chose the wrong route in the story... yeah, those didn't exactly go over well with beginner players who just wanted to enjoy the story.
If it were up to me, I'd remaster all the cutscenes and give them a proper timestamp and order of things.
Far as I know though, Bedman attacked Slayer's subordinate in early September, leading up to Ramlethal's War Declaration in October, with Elphelt getting kidnapped in November of 2187.
Strive apparently takes place sometime the following year in 2188, but that's the extent of what we know since they stopped using Date Stamps altogether.
