Get rid of the Tumblrstore "New" notification with uBlock Origin, a step-by-step guide by someone who tripped over the solution accidentally
Step 1: go to the Element Picker tool (looks like a colour picker tool from your favourite photo editing softwares).
Step 2: Hover over the new notification label - a little red box will appear around it. Click on the selected label.
Step 3: After clicking, this box will appear down the bottom of your screen with the selected element's related code. Click the "Create" button.
Step 4: Success!

if you mainly post ouat stuff or art things then i usually try to? atm though i’m currently dealing with a MASSIVE influx of bots. i’m still getting over 100 spam followers a day :’))) so unfortunately i’ve completely lost control of my followers list and have no way of knowing who’s a real human being or just a spam bot trying to kill me. so i haven’t had a chance to check out people’s blogs when they follow me sorry!!

tumblr live can only be snoozed to get rid of the dashboard stuff and not the stupid button on the bottom??? i genuinely hate this

Oh god, the Tumblr Live tab now seems to be permanently fixed to the bottom of the dashboard (on mobile), alongside the home and messages tabs, even AFTER snoozing it, and the little "New" notification won't go away even when you click on it...as someone who is unavoidably distracted by notifications like that and needs to clear them as quickly as possible, this is fucking awful. Snoozing, closing and reopening the app, clearing the cache, all do nothing to get rid of this.
Has anyone found a fix? Please help, this is going to be so distracting and put me off using the app if I can't get rid of it. Fuck these stupid ass fucking changes for no goddamn reason.

there’s this guy at work who has like google alerts set for a million things, or maybe he’s just extremely on legal twitter, and he will. not. stop. messaging the work group chat with updates about seemingly every case filed in federal court
#i took the time to rid my phone of news notifications for a REASON#and it was not bc i wanted to get them from my coworkers instead#he also listens to scotus oral arguments and just liveblogs it in the group chat 🙃

im not gonna lie fellas! nobody likes this feature! though i'll admit framing this as some kind of convenience upgrade IS pretty funny
but at this rate, if you keep annoying your established userbase more and more, this site is going to crash and burn and none of the people that actually liked it are going to be unhappy about that fact
not sure what happened but i have live snoozed and it used to prevent it from showing up in the bottom navigation bar on mobile (ios)
but it has since stopped doing that so now even with live snoozed it’s still there, and i would like it to Not Be
it’s not on my dash at least but i don’t want it on the navigation bar either
Answer: Hey, @jellyfishdotorg!
As you might have noticed, there have been some updates to how snoozing Tumblr Live works. Snoozing will continue to hide Live from your dashboard, but the navigation icon will remain in your navigation bar.
This means you’ll be able to watch anyone you follow go Live without having to unsnooze the whole thing! Additionally, we’ve increased the snooze period from 7 to 30 days.
