All but 3 members of the team have been together for over a decade and Barnes has the ego and nerve to think she can make them turn on each other?? Is she supposed to be just stupid or is this just bad writing that was made for dramatic effect?

You had thought you were keeping your cool. Honestly, truly, you had thought no one would notice the small changes in your behavior. You had tried to be subtle in dodging Hotch, doing it slowly and over time. It had started with piggybacking Spencer’s theories in the field, which led to pushing to go look at a crime scene rather than to the police department with Hotch. Then evolved into getting deep into conversation with JJ as you approached the jet, using it as an excuse to claim a seat next to her rather than your normal position between Hotch and the window.
These acts had gone unnoticed, or, at least, you’d thought. In your determination to avoid them, you hadn’t noticed the strange looks Derek and Morgan had thrown each other, and then Aaron, as you relaxed next to JJ. You missed Garcia questioning what had been up with you as you extended your time making coffee before a briefing, just so you didn’t have to walk behind Hotch into the room.
But, your latest change to avoid your unit chief definitely didn’t fly under the radar. This one was loud and clear, and absolutely threw off the entire BAU.
You’d just completed, by all possible metrics, a very successful case. It was a rare one, looking at terrorism in the DC area. A group of people who were planting explosives around the city, in unsuspecting areas. Instead of targeting political buildings or memorials, they focused on smaller-scale destruction. The team had been able to put the perpetrators away with no more casualties than those that were gone before the team landed. All in all, it was incredibly stressful, but a win for the team.
So, after Emily’s suggestion and Derek’s reminder that it was an extended weekend due to a government holiday, the team was getting ready to head to the bar. You had begged to go home to shower, promising you’d take an Uber (so you could, in Penelope’s words, “get fucked up with the girls”) and meet them at the bar in about an hour.
You put on your best outfit, showing an appropriate amount of cleavage, and did your makeup to the best of your abilities. After you’d cleaned up, you went to open your Uber app, excited to have a night to relax.
However, you were cut off when a phone call overtook your screen. “Aaron” the contact name read, indicating it was your unit chief, and that he was calling from his personal cellphone. You let ring a few times before picking up, not wanting to seem too eager to talk to your boss.
“Hellooo,” you practically sung into the phone, too excited to be worried about embarrassing yourself in front of him. He simply replied with a formal “hello,” followed by your name. “Please don’t tell me you’re ruining my longggg weekend,” You said to him, and he swore he could hear some of jewelry shaking. You couldn’t keep your excitement in, shaking your wrists, which made your bracelets make noise.
He chuckled a bit at your reaction to him calling, “No, no. I was just calling to see if you had left yet.” You smiled against the phone, knowing where this conversation was going. “Nope! I was actually ordering my Uber when you called,” you informed him. “So, you haven’t ordered it?” He questioned again, to which you replied with a “uh-uh”.
You couldn’t tell but your excitement about going out with your friends was essentially oozing through the phone, causing Aaron to maintain a bright smile on his face. You weren’t aware of how your vibe, your energy, was able to lift a weight off of Aaron’s shoulders that had been there for as long as he could remember.
“I also had to run home before meeting the team. If you’d like, I can pick you up.” Your smile, somehow, grew even bigger. Any excuse to see Aaron was a good one, you’d thought.
However, your face quickly fell when you reminded yourself that you were supposed to be avoiding him. You felt a pang in your heart as you said, “Thanks, but I have a few things to finish up here! I appreciate the offer, Hotch.”
With a quick, formal goodbye, the called ended. Aaron tried to ignore the fact that you lied to him as he drove the rest of the way. You had said you were about to call your Uber, and he heard your jewelry, meaning you were putting the finishing touches on your outfit. So why wouldn’t you accept his ride?
He tried to ignore the blow to his chest when you called him Hotch. Something about the use of his last name made him feel as if he’d done something wrong. Not that it was unusual for you, or anyone really, to call him that. It was the emphasis you’d put on it. As if you were trying to make it known he was Hotch and not Aaron.
Aaron tried to turn off his profiling ability, but it was proving to be had as all of his thoughts were currently encompassed by you.
The night, and the whole weekend if you were being honest, went by in a blur. You could tell Aaron had noticed the change in your behavior. You were standoffish at the bar, pretty much avoiding any conversation with him. You just hoped by the end of the long weekend it would be forgotten, and you’d be able to continue work as normal.
This dream was quickly demolished as Aaron was summoning you into his office before you had the chance to even put your bag down and unpack your files.
The sound of calling your last name both frightened and intrigued you. You couldn’t help but be attracted to the authority in his voice, even if it could mean you were going to be in trouble.
As you stepped into the voice, Aaron didn’t even look up. He mumbled a “shut the door, please,” as he finished recording some notes on an opened file in front of him. You stood awkwardly by the door, waiting for some kind instruction or reasoning from him.
“Please,” he gestured to the seats in front of his desk. You nodded, clumsily making your way to them. “I didn’t mean to scare you or make you uncomfortable by calling you in here,” he began.
You weren’t sure if you were more scared by being called into his office, to have a conversation that required you to both sit down and shut the door, or the intense eye contact he was maintaining as he introduced whatever discussion you two were about to have.
“I just couldn’t help but notice,” he paused for a second, trying to find the right words to say, “a recent change in your behavior.” You hoped he didn’t notice the way your eyes went wide, knowing you’d been caught. You didn’t have to ask what he was talking about to know you’d been caught, but you did anyway, “What do you mean?” You thought you were playing your part well, furrowing your eyebrows to truly emphasis your fake confusion.
“It feels as though you’ve been avoiding me.” Aaron says. His tone isn’t angry or even authoritative, but rather, disappointed. There’s a slight huff in the way he spoke. He didn’t give you a chance to defend yourself before he continued, “Which is fine if you so choose to do so. I would just like to know if it was because of something I did and if I could fix it. I want the team to function as well as it can, and I feel as though it would not if there was conflict between you and I.”
Aaron had to find a professional spin to throw his statement, knowing the professionalism of this situation was debatable at best. “Oh, sir,” you blushed, not really knowing what to say, “I don’t believe there is any conflict between us.” Your voice was formal, too formal. It was obvious you were under pressure. “So, what is it then?” He questioned.
You could feel yourself growing small under his intense stare. You could also feel the wet patch growing between your legs, making you slightly uncomfortable.
“You, uh, you kind of make nervous.” With your quiet voice and stutter, and the way your thighs squeezed together, it was easy for Aaron to pick up on the reason he made you nervous. His cheeks turned a pretty shade of pink instantaneously. “Oh,” his voice trailed off, followed by your quiet, “yeah.”
There was a few beats of silence before he cleared his throat. “Well, I’m glad to hear there’s no issues between us.” You nodded with his words, growing even more nervous. Your mouth was moving before your brain could catch up, “I’m sorry. I don’t mean to, it’s just been a minute since I’ve, ya know, and I know you’re boss but I will be completely professional and this will not effect my work in or out of the field.”
While you mean to be assuring your boss that your attraction to him was no detriment to your work, you just admitted that it’s been a minute since you’ve had an orgasm. You needed to end this conversation quickly.
“If that’s all,” You said as you stood, “I have a few more reports to finish.” Aaron simply nodded, dismissing you back into the bullpen. You made a break for the bathroom, hoping to have a few minutes to collect yourself before facing the race of the team. You felt exposed, knowing you were entering a room of profilers after since a painful experience. You needed some time alone.
After a mini-breakdown, and cleaning up your messed up mascara, you made your way to your desk. Calm and collected. That’s all you had to be. Calm and collected.
Serial killers and other criminals had quieted down for the week, in an unlikely turn of events. You’d only had to travel for one day, quickly solving a kidnapping case and the finding the perpetrator. The week flew by swimmingly. Nothing odd had happened.
Until you opened your door Saturday morning.
You hadn’t ordered anything, that much you were sure of. Even if you did, you tended to shop at places with bright packaging that made you feel like you were opening a gift when it was delivered. This unsuspecting, plain box was not here on your accord, yet it had your name and address on it.
The FBI agent side of you flipped into protection mode, racing to grab your phone and dial up the one person you knew that could tell you what to do if there happened to be a bomb inside of the box. Derek Morgan. “Pretty girl, why are you facetiming me at 8:27am on a Saturday?” He teased with a smile on his face. No matter what time it was, Derek was ready to listen.
“I got this box and I don’t know what it is. I just want someone to be around when I open it.” You informed him, sitting down next to the box. You should probably be standing, just in case you had to make a run for it but you were too worried about getting it open to think that far ahead.
“Alright,” He said, urging you to open it. You nodded to him, setting up the phone so he could you see and the box in the frame. You carefully tore off the tape, and let out a sigh of relief when nothing happened when it moved. You lifted the flaps slowly, taking a loud gasp when you saw it was. You hoped Derek didn’t see, and moved quickly to pick up your phone to hang up before he could.
“It’s not a bomb! I’m good, thanks Derek!” You rushed, hanging up before he could say anything. Your eyes didn’t leave the box as you let your arms fall to your sides. Sitting inside of it was a small, pink rose toy. A vibrator. That you definitely didn’t order.
You grabbed the box, hoping none of your neighbors saw it. It’s not that masturbation was wrong or immoral or that you didn’t partake, it was just weird if the people around you were aware of your toys.
So, you made sure your door was tightly closed before putting the box on the table and digging through it. There was all the normal things, the vibrator itself, large bubble wrap, and a paper receipt with the name of the product: Intimately GG Rose Suction Simulator from Pink Cherry.
However, there was another piece of paper at the bottom of the box. It was a typed note that read, “I hope this helps us go back to normal. A.H”. You knew exactly one person with the initials A.H. so it wasn’t rocket science to figure out who had ordered you this sex toy.
You weren’t sure if you were more turned on or embarrassed.
Aaron was your boss. Your kind, protective, strong, hot, sexy, boss. But still your boss. You wondered if this is something he would’ve done for someone like Emily or Penelope if they’d been in your predicament. It clicked quickly that it definitely wasn’t, and that made you special in Aaron Hotchner’s eyes.
So, you made a mental note to give him a call, after you tried out your toy. Luckily, you had your cleaning solution and an old bottle of lube from your past encounters. You made quick work of getting the toy clean and finding a video to help you get yourself off.
Of course, the man in the video was a white man who was bit older, with broad shoulders and black hair. No coincidence there.
You started with your boobs, taking time to massage each one before pulling on and pinching them to get yourself warmed up. Between the sounds coming from the video and the excitement of finally having time to yourself, your hands didn’t take long to move downwards, tracing along the length of your body. One hand continued caressing your side as the other made its way to your core.
The thought of Aaron going out of his way to help you get off and the visual of a man who looked similar to him getting his dick sucked had you borderline dripping on your bedsheets as you used your hand to start toying with your clit. You started with small circles, matching the speed of the girl sucking Aaron’s lookalike’s dick.
You stayed like this for a while, allowing yourself to go slow, really take your time pleasuring yourself. The guy in the video had already finished on the girl’s tits by the time you reached for your rose toy. You didn’t need the visual anymore, perfectly crafting dirty scenarios of your unit chief in your head.
You started on low. There was gentle sucking on your clit as you imagined the way Aaron would kiss. He’s experienced, you know that for sure. You could imagine the way he’d start gentle, maybe even cupping your face as he pulled you close. He’d let you feel like you were in charge, before his tongue made its way inside your mouth. His dominant side would take over, using his body to press you against whatever surface you were sat on.
As you fantasized about his dominant side, you cranked up the toy to the next level. You let out a loud moan at the new feeling. Your free hand moved back to your breast, squeezing, while you did your best to imagine Aaron’s large hands doing it instead.
You could feel the coil in your tummy getting tighter and tighter as you imagined Aaron slowly stripping your body, dragging his hand along each and every curve. With a sharp pinch to your nipple and a cry of Aaron’s name, you came undone all over your rose toy.
You could feel your slick dripping down your hand as you worked yourself through your orgasm, making sure to enjoy it for as long as you could. You wished you could savor this feeling. It was the strongest, best orgasm you’d ever had. Nothing could compare to the euphoria you felt right now.
You flicked the toy off and sat it to the side once the feeling became too much. You couldn’t bring yourself to move from your position. “Fuck,” you breathed out, trying to relax the hard rise and fall of your chest.
Once you were able to relax, you made your way to the shower. You knew you had to call Aaron, but you needed to be much more relaxed than you were right now to have that conversation. The sting from the hot water helped ground you, allowing you to clear your mind. After you cleaned yourself, you cleaned the toy and put everything in your nightstand drawer for future use.
Then, you reached for your cellphone. You quickly found Aaron’s personal number and hit the call button before you could overthink what you were doing. He picked up on the second ring. “Hotchner,” he said, probably out of habit. “Hello, Aaron,” you smiled. This is the conversation you’d had with him in a while that didn’t make you feel nervous. “Hello,” he echoed with your name. You didn’t know, but he was smirking on the other side of the phone. He’d been waiting for this call.
“You sent me a gift?” You asked. “I did. Have you received it?” He wasn’t sure what grew more, his smirk or his cock. “I have. I’ve opened it and took it for a test run as well.” The way you two were beating around the bush was a turn on, but the way he sounded so self-assured, as if he knew what you were going to say, had you clenching your thighs together.
“How did it perform?” Aaron questioned, leaning forward to rest his elbows on the table in front of him. This tightened the dress pants he was wearing against his hardened cock. “Very well,” You smiled. “I’m happy to hear that. I hope this is the end of all of your weird behavior.” Aaron chuckles. Just the sound of his laugh has you reaching your hand to squeeze the fat of your thighs.
“What weird behavior, Aaron?” You questioned, teasingly. This conversation is very different than any you’d had before, and it was turning you. You didn’t think it was possible with the strong orgasm you’d maybe an hour ago. But, Aaron was a special individual. He had that effect on you.
“You were avoiding me,” He scoffed. “I don’t know if I was. I think it was self-control,” You smiled, knowing you were baiting him. Without missing a beat, he took the bait, “And why did you need to practice self-control?”
Aaron leaned back in his chair, opting to press his hand against his cock instead of using the soft fabric to provide some kind of friction. He needed more, that much he knew.
“Because I was trying not to jump your bones, Aaron.” You breathed out. Your words had him squeezing his bulge, feeling like he could bust just from knowing you were attracted to him. “Fuck,” Aaron groaned into the phone. You giggled at his reaction, moving to press your hand against your core, again.
“Tell me about your toy,” He demanded, finally using the authoritarian tone that helped you get into this situation in the first time. “So you can touch yourself while I do?” You questioned, assuming he was in the same position as you. “Is that okay?” He questioned. “Of course it is, Aaron.” You promised, and used your permission as an excuse to unbutton his pants, and shove his hand under the waistband of his boxers.
As you started talking, he spread the precum, that’s been oozing from his pretty pink tip since he saw your contact name, along the length of his dick. “It was so good, Aaron. That was the best orgasm I’ve ever had.”
“Yeah?” Aaron encouraged you to keep going as he started stroking his cock. “Yeah,” You whined out, “I wish you could’ve seen me. My legs were shaking and I was leaking so much.” You smirked as you heard him groan in to the phone. His strokes had quickened in length. All he could picture was you spread out on his bed, cumming around his cock.
“What did you think about while you came?” You were surprised he was able to get the question out, especially because he only stuttered once. You wished you could see the way he squeezed his eyes together as he tugged on his cock. “You, obviously. I was thinking about your lips and your hands. I finished before I could get to the good part. I wanted to picture you fucking me from behind, pressing my face into the mattress.”
You were going to continue describing your fantasy to him, but he cut you off with a “Fuck!” as he came down his hands.
The line was silent for a few minutes before you spoke, “Hey, Aaron?” He hummed out a “yeah?”, before you asked, “Do you want to come over?”
“Give me ten minutes,” He promised, “and have the toy out.”
Well, you couldn’t refuse that.

Not-So Secretive Rendezvous
Pairing: Spencer Reid x Female!Reader
Word Count: ~2k
Warnings: smut, fem!receiving, age gap
Request by anon: I'd love a Spencer X Fem Reader thing,  say season 3-4 prince charming hair version ya know?  That era is totally hot.  Anyway, reader is Hotch's sister or Daughter, 10 year age gap between reader & Spence.  I'm a total sucker for a forbidden, sneaking, secretive thing with them getting caught in a very compromising position.  Hotch is fine with it but disappointed they didn't clear it with him. Maybe she works in the BAU but maybe not?  Some hot spice with his awkward self.  I always have a thought of him being so awkward around women in social situations like with JJ in the baseball game stuff, but with his Eidetic memory he definitely knows how to please women for sure.   Any other details i'll leave you with free rein!
Summary: You and Spencer are a new couple that is hiding your relationship from the team for two reasons. Hotch is your dad and Spencer is ten years older than you are. That doesn’t stop you from being with him. Not your dad and certainly not an office full of people.
Square Filled: public sex/voyeurism (2021) for @cm-kinkbingo
Author’s Note: any and all comments are appreciated <3

There are two reasons why you’re at the BAU--Spencer and Hotch. This is the place you want to work when you have the proper training and have done everything that’s required of you. You graduated high school before summer started and now you’re taking college classes with a degree in criminal justice while also getting in some hours at the police academy. It doesn’t hurt that your dad is the unit chief of the BAU, but you try not to let that affect how well you’re doing in and out of school.
The other reason is Spencer Reid. You two immediately hit it off when you first met and he’s been showing you around as much as he can without getting in trouble. He can’t tell you much about the cases the team has but he can give you advice and pointers for when you get a job here. Derek helps you with the physical stuff while Spencer is your own personal library book that just so happens to have all the answers you’re searching for.
After a few months of visiting your dad and the team, you and Spencer developed a relationship that only you two know about. Keeping your relationships a secret isn’t something you normally do because if you like someone, you’re all about showing them off to everyone. However, you and Spencer are ten years apart in age, and you don’t think your dad will appreciate his eighteen-year-old daughter hooking up with his twenty-eight-year-old subordinate.
It’s not a big deal to you and Spencer since you’re not newly eighteen. It’s September and you turned eighteen back in January. He’s been so good to you and is such a gentleman. He’s a romantic and loves taking you out on dates as much as he can. Your favorite date is when he puts a tent on the roof of his building, makes everything for a picnic, and you two spend the night stargazing there.
Unlike now when your visit is anything but romantic.
It’s been over a week since you’ve seen Spencer and you’re craving his touch. You’re not normally a sex-crazed teenager but you’re ovulating and you really need to feel his body on yours. You’re not ready for kids and you don’t know if or when you will be, so you’ll be using condoms because it’s a terrible time to get pregnant.
Not to mention your dad will quite literally kill Spencer.
“Hey, Y/N, what are you doing here?” Derek asks when he sees you.
“Just wanted to stop by to say hi. I hear the B Team is out right now so what better time to come?”
“Your dad is in his office.”
“Where’s Spencer.”
“Bathroom.”
“Okay, I’ll wait for him. Thanks.”
You turn to leave but Derek stops you.
“Hey, we’re still on for tomorrow, right?”
“Yeah, I’m ready to learn that new self-defense technique.”
You walk straight for Spencer’s desk only to walk right past it and toward the bathrooms. Derek smirks and shakes his head knowing you’re not here to see your dad at all. Spencer comes out of the bathroom with his phone in his hand so he doesn’t see you right away. You open the door to an empty office and wait for him to pass by it before grabbing his arm and pulling him inside.
“Wha--?” He looks up and smiles when he sees it’s you. “Hey, baby. I didn’t know you were coming today.” You close and lock the door before shutting the blinds so that no one can look inside. “What are you doing?”
“Come here.”
You pull Spencer in and kiss him without warning, and he grips your hips not too hard. He gets lost in the kiss before the alarm bells ring in his head.
“Wait, wait, wait.” Spencer pulls away from you but you’re not done kissing him. You back up into the desk and sit on it while kissing down his neck. “Not that I’m not happy to see you but we can’t do this here.”
“Why not? Don’t you want me?”
“Of course I do.”
“Then get me naked and fuck me.” It’s hard to think when all Spencer is thinking about is getting you naked. He’s not a sex machine who wants it all the time but it has been a week since he’s seen you, and the last case he went on was very stressful. “School has been stressing me out and I really just want some dirty sex with you.”
You don’t have to tell him twice. He spreads your legs and steps in between them before kissing you again. He runs his hands down your thighs and back up, only to slip them underneath your dress. You wanted to make sure you gave Spencer easy access. He expected to feel a barrier between his fingers and your pussy but there is none.
“You’re not wearing any panties?”
“I came here for one thing and one thing only,” you grin. “I wanted to make this easier for you.”
Spencer rolls his head back and cracks his neck before sinking to his knees. He’s not an expert in this department but he’s read enough books and watched enough amateur porn to know what he’s doing. He places a hand on your chest, pushes you down onto the desk, and bunches your dress around your waist.
“Remember, we’re at work and your dad’s office is right down the hall. You gotta be quiet.”
You’re about to respond when Spencer latches onto your clit. You slap a hand over your mouth to muffle the moan that slips out. It would be a disaster if your dad found out about this… or anyone. He kitten licks your clit and circles it before sliding his tongue down to your slit. He straightens his tongue and pushes inside of you, and his right-hand hooks up and over your leg so that he can rub your clit in hard fast circles.
“Fuck, Spencer, right there,” you gasp quietly.
“God, you taste so good,” he mumbles. “I can’t ever get enough.”
You reach down and slide your fingers into his hair before tugging on it gently. This is the exact reason why he’s been growing his hair out. He loves it when you tug on his hair. His mouth and fingers switch positions so that he’s sucking on your clit and sliding a finger into your tight hole. You squeal a bit loudly at the sudden change in pressure, and you bite down on your lower lip to prevent yourself from crying out again.
“Please, Spencer, I need more,” you moan.
He slides in another finger and curls them both so that he’s touching the spot that makes you see stars.
“Are you close?”
“Yes, fuck, yes.”
“Do you want to come?”
“Yes, please, Spencer,” you moan.
“Go ahead, darling.”
He gives a particularly hard suck on your clit that makes you come all over his face. He removes his fingers and laps up every drop you give him before standing to his full height.
“God, you’re so good at that.” You pull him down and kiss him, not minding that you can taste yourself on his lips. “I need to come again. I have a condom in the pocket of my dress.”
“You’re so needy,” he grins but doesn’t refuse you.
He pulls away and takes the condom you give him before unbuckling his pants. He’s always awkward at this part because he still can’t believe that he has someone who is interested in him like this. He’s not ripped like Derek or as confident as him but you like him because he’s none of those things. You love how socially awkward he is. You love his ramblings. You especially love it when he tells you random facts that have you questioning how he came to know that in the first place.
Spencer pulls his cock out and you almost salivate at the sight of it. You’ve given him blow jobs before but there will never be a time when you don’t want to suck him off. However this time, you just need him to be in you. He takes out the condom from the package and carefully rolls it onto his hard cock.
“Are you sure you want to do this?”
“Yes, Spencer, please. Just get in me.”
You spread your legs wider and allow him to step closer to you. He pumps himself twice before lining himself up at your entrance. You toss your head back and gasp at the one… three… seven inches of him until he is fully seated inside of you.
“Let me know when you’re ready,” Spencer groans.
“I’m ready. Please, Spencer,” you beg.
He doesn’t want to be too loud so he doesn’t fuck you as hard as he wants to. He starts at a normal pace before slowly picking up speed, and you’re trying to stop the moans from coming out but failing. He covers your mouth with his hand as if that will stop you from moaning his name.
It’s been a long and stressful time for you both so it doesn’t take long for the two of you to get close to the edge.
“Fuck, I’m gonna come.” Hearing Spencer swear when he normally doesn’t is so hot. He hates swearing since he has such a big range of vocabulary that he can use, but he can’t help it when you feel like Heaven. “Are you close?” You nod wordlessly since Spencer’s hand is still over your mouth. “Come with me. One.” Thrust. “Two.” Thrust. “Three.”
You explode all over him just as he fills the condom up. He rides out both your highs as much as he can before slowing down. He removes his hand and you gasp when you feel him start to pull out of you.
“I don’t know how you haven’t had more girlfriends before,” you laugh as you pant.
“It’s usually my incessant need to ramble that drives them away.”
He takes the condom off and ties it at the end before pocketing it., He doesn’t want anyone to find it in the trashcan so he’ll throw it out in the dumpster outside.
“Have you seen Y/N? I saw her come in earlier.”
You freeze when you hear your dad’s voice outside the office.
“I think she went to see Garcia. You should ask her,” Rossi responds from right by the door. You hear your dad walk away before Rossi knocks twice on the door. “You two aren’t very quiet or sneaky.”
“Shit, I should go,” you giggle. You fix your dress and Spencer tucks himself back into his pants. The room smells like sex but you’re sure it will air out by the time anyone else comes in here. “I love you and I can’t wait to see you on Sunday.”
You lean in and kiss Spencer before unlocking the door.
“I love you, too,” Spencer grins. “We should do this again sometime.”
“Oh, we definitely are.” You open the door and notice Rossi is in the break room. You make sure the coast is clear before leaving the office. You turn the corner and go crashing into your dad. “Daddy, hi. I was just looking for you. Someone said you wanted to see me?”
Hotch looks up and sees Spencer leave the office from which you just came out. He didn’t bother fixing his hair as much as he should have so it’s a big messed up from how much you were tugging on it, and your lipstick is a bit smudged from Spencer’s hand over your mouth.
Hotch isn’t an idiot.
“My office. Now.”
You look up to see him looking at someone behind you. You look back and see Spencer staring at Hotch with wide, fearful eyes.
“Daddy, listen--”
“Don’t you have a class to go study for? Reid, now.”
“Yes, sir,” he nods and scurries past you to get to his office.
“Daddy, I love him. Please don’t kill him. I’ll talk to you later.”
You leave before your dad can say anything else. Hotch isn’t mad that Spencer is seeing his daughter. He’s upset that you two hid it from him. He’s not gonna kill Spencer but it is sure going to be fun to watch him squirm because he thinks he is.

Could I request GN! Reader who is married to Spencer, and they have like a little bet that Spencer cant go a week without coffee? Mostly fluff, but maybe a lil angst bc Spencer gets sick going thru caffeine withdrawls? :D
running on empty | S.R.
spencer makes a bet to give up coffee for a week but ends up foregoing all caffeine
who? spencer reid x gn!reader category: fluff content warnings: caffeine withdrawal, spencer getting snippy, husband!spencer, teasing from the team word count: 871 a/n: a silly little one-shot for you my darling. part of me feels criminal making spencer go through any kind of withdrawal lmao. i hope you like this!!
Tumblr media
“He hasn’t been sleeping well,” you answered Derek’s question, looking over to where your husband was staring blankly at the files on his desk. For the past few weeks, Spencer’s nightly tossing and turning had increased tenfold.
Morgan chuckled from across the bullpen, “Maybe it’s all that coffee he’s been drinking.”
The suggestion likely wasn’t that far off, the heaps of sugar Spencer put in his coffee probably didn’t help his sleep schedule either
Putting her two cents in, Emily snorted, “Oh, come on. I’d challenge you to find a member of the BAU who doesn’t have some sort of caffeine dependency.”
Again, she probably had a point. There were at least two members of the BAU who wouldn’t entertain any conversation until they were at least halfway through their first cup of coffee. Spencer’s head snapped up, “I can go without coffee.”
You scoffed, “No, love, and that’s okay.”
“I can go without coffee, Y/N,” he told you seriously, “I’ll go a week without coffee.”
Pinching the bridge of your nose, you leaned back in your chair and sighed, “Okay, a week without coffee.”
“What does he get in return for going a week without coffee?” Morgan teased, waggling his brows in your direction.
Whipping your head around, you narrowed your gaze at your co-worker, “It’s a secret guarded by the sanctity of our marriage, Derek,” you said pointedly.
Tumblr media
Emily had made an excellent point, there was a certain understanding among the Behavioral Analysis Unit that everyone was entirely dependent on caffeine. The issue was that Spencer had cut out all caffeine instead of just coffee.
The first night, he had fallen asleep rather quickly but had been a pain when you had to drag him out of bed in the morning. The second night, he was perfectly fine, but ever since he woke up this morning, he had woken up on the wrong side of the bed. Figuratively, of course. You had been the one to wake up on his side of the bed this morning.
You leaned against the kitchen counter with your coffee in hand, watching Spencer struggle to pay attention to the words in his book. “What about just a small cup?” You offered, opening one of the cabinets to find a daintier mug for him.
He cleared his throat before snapping his book shut and sliding it into his bag, “Nope, are you ready to go?” He asked, checking his watch to make sure you’d be able to catch the metro this morning.
Sighing despondently, you nodded, drinking the remainder of your coffee in one gulp before setting the mug in the dishwasher, “Yeah, just let me brush my teeth.”
In response, Spencer huffed, “Well, hurry up, I don’t want to be late.”
“Why are the Reid’s looking so put out this morning?” Derek asked when you arrived, holding a travel coffee thermos in his hand while raising his eyebrows curiously.
Shaking your head, you looked at the rest of the team holding their go-bags, the last place you wanted Spencer to be was in the realm of a stressed-out police chief, but the two of you grabbed your things and followed the team out.
Furrowing her brows, JJ eyed Spencer suspiciously, “You alright, Reid?”
“I’m fine,” he said, tapping his foot while you all waited for the elevator doors to close.
Discreetly, you moved your elbow and nudged him, trying to tell him to cool it without reprimanding him in the company of your team.
Tumblr media
Groaning, Spencer continued to flip through the filed in front of him, his caffeine withdrawal making it difficult for him to focus on anything pertaining to the case for more than a few minutes.
With the locals out of the room, you gently set a hand on Spencer’s shoulder, “Hey, why don’t we take a break?”
“Leave me alone.” Spencer snapped, garnering the attention of everyone else in the conference room. A lead on the case had left you with Emily, Derek, and Rossi, the latter of whom sped out of the door so quickly you were surprised there wasn’t a puff of smoke in his wake.
Your lips parted, just as surprised as the rest of the team that Spencer had chosen to lash out at you of all people. Setting your jaw, you spun on your heels and marched down to the kitchenette to make him a cup of tea. Begrudgingly, you dropped the tea bag in a mug and grabbed a paper towel for him to set it on once the tea was steeped.
Back in the roundtable room, you set the tea in front of him, “I’m not drinking coffee this week,” he said.
“I know,” you sniped, “That’s why you’ve been acting so impertinent for the last two days.” In your periphery, you saw Morgan and Emily slowly backing out of the roundtable room, wanting to avoid any sort of marital blowout. “Drink the tea, wingnut,” you told him, crossing your arms in front of your chest.
His eyes flickered to the mug, obviously noting the tea bag string hanging from the side of the mug. “Wingnut?” He repeated quizzically.
Raising your eyebrows, you shrugged, “I call it like I see it.”

hi! I know you’re on a little writing break but if you get the chance what about where reader has to do like hand to hand combat with an unsub like JJ does in s7 bc her and hotch get paired up but they take him out first and so it’s up to her to get them both out of there alive or something and then him and everyone on the team is impressed bc reader doesnt look like the type to be able to do that or something 🤓
The Claws Come Out (Drabble) | Aaron Hotchner
Tumblr media
It was no secret that you and Spencer were a bit coddled on the team, being the two youngest agents with, according to Derek, the demeanor of a kitten cosplaying business casual. You and Spencer have grown to just accept the picture the team has painted and prove your capabilities in other ways on the field.
"How's it looking so far, Spence?" You mumble and stare at the map he's pinned up on the board. Derek has his arms crossed, swaying a bit in his chair as he waits for the next phone call from the unsub. Hotch is standing beside your chair, eyebrows pinched together as he directs his attention to the board.
"I've narrowed it down to two places." Spencer hums, stepping back to analyze his work.
"But..?" You can sense how he's trailing off.
"They're on opposite sides of town. Deducing from the echoes we heard from his last calls, and the strong emotional connections he has with the previous crime scenes, we're left with..." Spencer points to two distant ends on the map. "The warehouse he was fired from and the church he frequented as a child." He finishes and clears his throat, turning around to look at Hotch.
"So we split?" You suggest and whirl your chair around to look up at the stern man.
Your unit chief considers it for a second before nodding and looking around the precinct. "Alright. Reid, you and Dave stay here and wait to see if Thompson calls again. If he does, keep him talking." He then turns to Derek. "Morgan, I want you, JJ, and Prentiss to go to the warehouse."
"And we'll go to the church." You finish softly and smile, standing up and stretching your arms as you turn to your boss. "Can I drive?"
Unfortunately, you're yet again relegated to the role of passenger princess as Hotch navigates through the town, caution for the speed limit thrown into the wind. "He's not going to go down without a fight."
Hotch's words sound cautious, and when the car turns into the church parking lot, your eyes widen as you see Thompson's vehicle parked haphazardly by some bushes. "He's here. I'll tell the others."
"We can't wait for them to get here." Hotch is already unbuckling his seatbelt, only waiting until you send a swift text before hurrying to the church entrance.
You're trailing behind him, gun unholstered and pointed toward the concrete. "Only one entrance." You huff out with a worried sigh, watching as Hotch gently pushes one of the tall doors open, his other hand gripping his gun.
Fortunately, neither of you are immediately gunned down as he swiftly opens the door and ducks out of the way. It seemed that your unsub wasn't sitting at a pew, firearm at the ready.
You motion that you're going to go investigate one of the narrow hallways to your right, and Hotch goes deeper into the church. With your gun raised, you carefully step through the dimly lit passageway, seeing stacked storage bins coated in dust, and old books stacked on some rickety shelves.
No sign of Thompson.
Just as that thought brushes across your mind, you hear a familiar grunt along with some crashes. Hurrying out of the room, you rush back into the nave, eyes immediately zeroing in on your unit chief laying on the ground.
Some of the candles by the pews are knocked over, and you're only able to snap out of your shock when a harsh kick from your right sends your gun sliding across the floor. Recovering quickly, you see Thompson's shoe coming in for another hit, this time aimed at your face, and you duck breathlessly.
Seeing that the man is unarmed, you pop back up on your feet and close the distance between you both to send a punch across his face. Your right hook ushers a surprised grunt from his lips, and you quickly take advantage of his unsteady balance by sending a spinning back kick right to his sternum.
He flies back a bit and hunches over before letting out an enraged cry and lunging for you, hands flailing. You meet his hits with a sidestep and you send a kick to his backside, his momentum combined with your kick sending him headfirst toward the ground.
You see him trying to reach for your gun that's a few feet in front of him and you hurry to kick it away, yelping when he grabs your ankle and tugs you back, sending you crashing to the floor too.
He tries to get on top of you, breathing in harshly as he shuffles closer. Flipping onto your back, you grunt and lay your foot down on the ground to steady yourself before using the other to kick up toward his chest. He groans as he falls back, clutching at his chest that was likely aching from your previous kick.
Getting up on your feet, you watch him scramble to do the same. You can tell from his hunched shoulders and heavy breathing that he's having a hard time catching his breath and that this exchange was nearing its end. Grunting in frustration, you roundhouse kick him in a flash, the adrenaline practically bursting from your pores.
It's almost comical the way he flips over the pew behind him, crashing onto the floor in an unconscious heap. Catching your breath, you immediately hurry to retrieve your gun. However, as you turn around you're met with the shocked faces of your team at the entrance, guns lowered.
Blinking slowly at them, you offer a sheepish smile before turning to go check up on your boss. Your movements snap them back to reality as they hurry to call for backup and medics, Derek already marching to cuff your unconscious unsub.
No one says anything about the altercation until your hand is bandaged up and Hotch is cleared of any serious injuries. As you're walking away from the ambulance, Emily sidles up to your right and swings an arm over your shoulder.
"Kitty's got claws." She hums out with a bright smile.
"It was nothing." You shake your head and chuckle softly as she leads you over to where the team is circled together.
Rossi smiles brightly when he sees you, hand moving to pat your shoulder. "I heard from a little birdy that you saved the day. Good job, kiddo."
"Yeah, we were going to intervene, but you were winning." Derek jokes and shrugs. "But when were you going to tell us you could do all of that?"
"I was honestly going to wait for the day where you challenged me to hand-to-hand." You snicker softly. Derek rolls his eyes and shakes his head affectionately, calling out to Spencer with a teasing remark as he approaches with his hands in his pockets.
Your eyes dart around the vicinity, your head perking up a little when you see Hotch walking toward you all after shaking hands with the local police chief.
Slipping away from the group, you walk toward him with a small grin. "You gave me quite the scare, y'know?"
An all too fond smile flickers across his face. "I'm fine, but good job today. You've got a great roundhouse."
"It was nothing." You shrug before furrowing your eyebrows and looking at him inquisitively. "Wait, you saw that?"
"Yeah, I came to after you landed on the floor." He says with a faint smirk, raising a hand to brush against yours. "Are you okay though? It seemed like a hard fall."
You don't comment when his pinky hooks around yours. "Yeah, I'm okay. I'm more sturdy than I look."
His eyebrows raise in amusement and his face softens as he keeps his gaze on you. "We should have you training the new recruits then."
"That'd be fun." You muse out as you turn to look at the cars around you. "Actually, Hotch, I'm so okay in fact that I think I'm fine enough to drive us back."
His chest rumbles with a chuckle as he shakes his head and walks toward the Buick you both took earlier. "Not a chance."

♡ Say You'll Remember Me ♡
Word Count: 3428
Pairing: Derek Morgan x Reader
Warnings: Smut, Vaginal sex, drinking, fingering, Oral sex F! receiving, one night stand, happy ending I promise.
Summary: You and Derek hook up one night, both being devastated that he forgot to leave you his number the next morning, neither of you able to forget the lines of the other's body.
This is my second entry for the CM kink bingo, I haven't actually written proper smut in a while, so i apologize if it's bad at all.
Prompts used, Drinking/Drunkenness, One Night Stand
Tumblr media
It was an extremely rare occasion when you would be caught in the club. You could count on one hand the amount of times you’d been out, going out once or twice in uni and just being put off of it almost completely, it wasn’t that you hated it, it just wasn’t something you desperately went out of your way to do, especially once university was fully underway - studying forensics and psychology was a full time course and you just didn’t have the time or energy to actually doll yourself up to be able to go out, rather wanting to sit and read a book or watch a movie to relax from the stress of University.
After university you went into a career with the FBI, starting out as a basic agent, but your aspirations being with the BAU, so when you eventually passed all the training with flying colours and you were made an agent of the BAU, your friends decided that it meant a celebration at a local club was required. You’d come out from a meeting with the unit chief, Agent Hotchner, the rest of the team unfortunately not being in the office for you to meet until your official start day in two days, and you were almost immediately swept up by your friends, going back to yours to get ready, being more dolled up than you had in a while, having a few glasses of wine in the peace of your apartment before heading off to the chaos of the club.
On the taxi ride over, you decided that you were going to drink as much as you could tonight within your limits and actually try to have a good time out with your friends. All of you having some strong drinks the moment you walked into the building, before going onto the dance floor with drinks in hand.
What you were unaware of, was that, only a few feet away from you, sitting at one of the booths, were a few members of your team, JJ, Emily, Derek and Garcia, all of which were having a fun night out on their days off, putting work behind them for the night.
After a while of going back and forth between the dance floor, the bar and your own booth, you were feeling amazingly tipsy, enough that you still knew everything you were doing and still had your inhibitions intact, you went back out onto the dance floor, you and one of your friends walking past the booth where Derek was currently sat, his eyes watching you as you walked past, your laughs with your friend peaking his interest. The team just laughed as they watched his attention divert to you, knowing what Derek could be like sometimes.
“I’ll be back in a moment.” Derek spoke, causing the team to chuckle even more as he slid out of the booth, walking over to where you were dancing, having been joined by another of your friends. He started dancing behind you, coming up next to you as he spoke, “Can I dance with you?” he asked, not wanting to freak you out and just dance with you without asking. He noticed your friends giving you certain teasing looks, and he noticed the shy smile on your face,
“Sure.” you replied, your focus now fully on Derek instead of your friends, who had then decided to leave the two of you alone, moving away so they were close enough to keep an eye on you, just in case, but far enough away that you had a little bit of privacy. The two of you moved your bodies closer to each other so you’d be able to hear each other over the loud music. Your hand went to one of Derek’s shoulder, both of his going to your hips, both of you moving together to the music,
“What’s your name, handsome.” you spoke, your lips close to his ear so he’d be able to hear you.
“Derek.” he spoke, smirking lightly at you as your bodies moved together, every part of you touching each other.
“Y/N.” you told him, easily moving your body in sync with  him, both of you sinking into the feeling of each other, the rest of the room flooding away from you.
Both of you lost track of time as you danced with each other, your bodies staying glued together the whole time, Derek often had your back to him, his hands guiding your hips into his, his mouth laying chaste kisses to your neck,
“I think it’s time to go back to one of our places, don’t you?” He asked you after a while, the sexual tension between the two of you now palpable, you turned around to look at him, nodding your head as you did,
“I live only five minutes away from here.” you told him, his smirk growing at your words.
“Let’s go then mama.”
—----
After a swift taxi ride - the two of you were too drunk to drive Derek’s car and you both didn’t want to walk - you arrived at your apartment, both of you shedding your clothes pretty much as you walked through the door. You knew that your apartment wasn’t the cleanest right now after having your friends round for the past few hours, but with Derek’s lips fervently on yours, you couldn’t find it in yourself to care right now.
You were the one to break the kiss, purely so you could actually walk the two of you to your bedroom without tripping over anything, only connecting your lips once again after you’d made it into the bedroom, Derek’s hands working deftly to unbutton his shirt before throwing it off and into the corner of your room. Your lips broke from his to catch your breath for a moment and you practically fawned at the definition of his body, how did you manage to get lucky enough to have this greek god in your bed tonight you had no idea but you were so thankful for it.
Following Derek, you stripped off your shirt, your skirt already off, Derek’s hands coming to your hips after you’d done so, pulling your body close to him as his lips fell to your jaw, running deftly down to your neck before hitting your shoulder, kissing right next to where your bra strap currently sat. His hands snuck round to your back as his lips connected to yours once again, even after only knowing him for a few hours, you could never get sick of these kisses, you already hoped this wouldn’t be the last time you saw Derek, you were addicted to the man in front of you. His hands worked at almost lightning speed to undo your bra, his hands helping pull it off you before his hands moved to your breasts, a small goran escaping his lips as he groped them, “God you’re gorgeous.” he spoke, his voice an octave lower than you’d heard him be earlier, this alone made heat flood through you, the amount of lust in his eyes increasing that.
It was almost like your voice didn’t work anymore, only a small giggle spilling past your lips at Derek’s compliment. He pulled you over to the bed, gently pushing you down on it, his body crawling over yours as you shifted yourself to the top of your bed. His hands reached down, his fingers trailing along your body leaving goosebumps in their wake, he stopped as he got to the waistband of your underwear, “You still sure?” he asked, wanting to make sure you were still onboard with doing this, both of you were drunk but only just, still able to make sound decisions that you wouldn’t regret in the morning.
“I’m sure.” you panted out, your body arching up to Derek’s, “Please, just touch me. Please” you practically begged, the desperation dripping in your voice,
Derek chuckled, “Alright mama” he ducked his head down to place his lips on yours again, your lips moving in sync to begin with before a gasp rocked through your mouth as his hand went under your underwear, his fingers deftly starting to rub your clit, after the initial pleasure and shock at his hands, you kept on kissing him, your lips moving sloppier than they previously had, his lips muffling the moans coming out of you.
Derek moved away from you for a moment, chuckling as you whined at his warmth moving away from you, “Don’t worry mama, I’m just getting these out of the way.” he spoke gently as he pulled your underwear down your legs, throwing them off to the side, before he was back on top of you, his hand right back to where it was before, working quickly to try to get you to your high. Carefully he slipped one finger downwards, slipping it inside of you with ease, “So wet for me.” he chuckled, his lips moving to your jaw before moving down your body, moving until he was slotted in between your legs, his lips leaving feather kisses on your inner thighs, before moving closer to your core, his lips brushing your clit for a moment before he latched on, two of his fingers now working inside of you whilst his mouth worked wonders on you. You couldn’t silence the moans you were producing, your hand going down to Derek’s head as your hips ground down into his face. He hummed around your clit sending shockwaves through you,
“Derek, I’m gonna-” you couldn’t finish your comment before you felt your orgasm flood through your body, Derek helping you ride through it. You were slightly embarrassed that you’d never managed to cum that quickly before but this man had done it easily.
“Good girl.” Derek mumbled as he rose from your body, leaving some chaste kisses to your thighs and stomach as he rose up, quickly stripping off his boxers, his hand stroking his erection for a moment before moving back on top of you. “You doin’ okay honey?” he asked, one hand coming up to brush your cheek,
“More than okay.” you confirmed, your hands running along his shoulders, “Please” you whispered, wanting him to fuck you already.
He just chuckled as he sat back up to give himself a better angle, lifting your hips to meet his, his hands gently caressing your thighs, making sure to keep you relaxed as he slowly sheathed himself inside of you, groaning lightly as he watched himself disappear inside of you, waiting until you were okay before he started moving. Once you’d nodded at him, his grip on your hips tightened as he started moving, small moans spilling out your lips without constraint. Derek took this as confirmation that he could speed up, now leaning down to be able to plant kisses on your jaw as he kept thrusting faster.
Derek normally lasts a lot longer than he was right now, only going for a few minutes before he could feel himself about to finish. He reached one hand down to begin playing with your clit again, wanting you to cum before he did, “Please don’t stop.” you whispered, your voice breaking slightly at the pleasure running through you,
“I won’t honey. Cum for me” he whispered in your ear, biting it lightly as you were pushed over the edge by his fingers, moaning into Derek’s ear as your high started, Derek quickly following suit, groaning deeply as he finished inside of you, chuckling after a moment as he looked up at you seeing the fucked-out expression on your face.
Carefully, he pulled out of you, standing from his place on the bed, “I’ll be back in a sec, honey.” he spoke gently, walking out of your bedroom, finding your bathroom after a moment, managing to find something he could help clean you up with, wetting a hand towel he found before coming back to the bedroom, finding you in the exact same position he left you in, he chuckled slightly,
“What?” you asked, looking up at him as he came over to help clean you up, then himself,
“You’re just gorgeous.” he spoke quietly, throwing the towel onto the floor before crawling up next to you in bed, pulling your body into his, both of you managing to fall asleep relatively quickly after the night you’d had.
—----
You woke up the next morning, stretching out as the sunlight streamed in through your window, your arm stretched out, finding the bed next to you empty. You sighed lightly, being slightly sad at the fact that Derek hadn’t stayed for the morning but honestly expecting that to happen, after all it was just a one night-stand right, why would he stay for the morning. Instead of feeling too sad about it, you decided to get up and just get on with your day as you normally would, today was your last day before you’d be in your new job, so you planned to do pretty much nothing all day, sitting in front of the television watching junk for most of the day. You stopped in your tracks once you go to the coffee table in the lounge, seeing a sheet of paper placed there that wasn’t there before,
Sorry Doll,
Had to run out to work.
Derek
Sighing lightly, you flopped down on the couch, whilst yes, he’d at least left you a note, he hadn’t left his number on it, meaning you had no idea how you’d be able to get in contact with him again.
Derek only realised once he’d gotten to work that he hadn’t left his number on the not he’d left this morning,
“Shit.” he muttered to himself whilst making his coffee, catching Emily’s attention next to him,
“What’s wrong?” She asked concerned,
His head snapped towards hers, “Nothing, just realised something, don’t worry.” he told her, not wanting to dive into details with his team about you.
“Where did you disappear off to last night?” she asked, a smirk now replacing the concern that was previously on her features.
“Now, why would I tell you that?” Derek smirked back as he sauntered back off to his desk. The team hadn’t been given a case today, instead just being given masses of paperwork to do. He sat back at his desk, trying to get his thoughts off of you and onto the files in front of him.
You couldn’t focus. You’d spent the last hour tidying up your house, but now that your mind wasn’t busy, you couldn't focus. You’d scanned through every channel on the tv, even tried watching some of your favourites, but you just couldn’t get your mind off of Derek, the way his hands ran across your body, the way he brought you to an orgasm quicker than you ever could yourself, the way his lips moulded against yours, the little groans he’d spill into your ears. Every single thing about him was bothering you, making you just as hot and desperate as you were the night before.
Derek was just the same, as much as he tried to focus on his work, he just wasn’t able to. His mind just kept running back to you, the way your body felt under his, the way you felt around him, the lust in your eyes, the way you’d beg him. You were driving him crazy and he didn’t even leave you his number when he left, how could he be so stupid.
“I fucked up babygirl.” he spoke as he walked into Penelope’s office, catching her attention from the screen she was just looking at,
“What happened? Are you okay?” She spoke, worry clear in her voice.
“I went home with someone last night.” He began, perching himself on the edge of one of Penelope’s desks.
“So that’s where you went last night” she interrupted with a giggle,
He rolled his eyes at her playfully, “Yeah, yeah. I don’t want to hear it.” he playfully swatted her arm lightly,
“Okay, okay,” she raised her hands in a surrender, “How did you fuck up? What happened?”
“I forgot to leave my number this morning when I left for work. I just left a note saying I had to go to work,” he paused for a moment, seeing Penelope’s reaction, she looked disappointed, “Stupid, I know. But now I can’t get her out of my head, every little thing about her is just flooding my brain and I can’t do anything.” he finished,
“Oh honey.” Penelope spoke, genuine sympathy in her voice, “if you remember where she lives, you might be able to go round after work,”
“I was sleep deprived when I left early this morning, I might know the general location but not much else.” he replied, he knew it was worth a chance though. “I’ll go after work, see if I can remember.”
Derek was interrupted by a knock on the door, “We have a case.” Hotch spoke as he opened the door after confirmation he could come in, “Meeting room, now” he finished, leaving the door open as he left.
“Duty calls.” Derek spoke, placing his hand out for Penelope to use to help her get up, letting her walk out first before he followed, closing the door behind him.
Thankfully you’d managed to shower this morning you thought to yourself as you rode in the elevator up to the BAU office, Hotch had called you half an hour ago, telling you that whilst he knew your first day wasn’t until tomorrow, but they had a new case that had just come up and was wondering if you could get into work now so you could actually start since he didn’t know how long this case would take. You’d said yes immediately, hoping that actually being at work would help you get the thoughts of Derek out of your mind. Hotch told you he’d wait in the office for you to be able to take you down to the jet since you didn’t know where it was yet.
Hotch had explained the case they’d just received, women being tortured and killed in an increasingly quicker pattern, the local PD wanting you there as soon as possible, he’d explained that he’d be a little late coming to the jet as a new agent would be joining them and he would meet them at the office, the new agent was currently the talk of the team, none of them other than rossi knowing that they’d even added a new agent to the team.
“I haven’t met her, but Hotch says she’s great.” Rossi spoke, still reading through the case file.
Talk was finished when Hotch walked onto the jet with you following close behind, he took his seat, motioning at you to do the same. “Everyone this is Y/N, L/N. She’s the new agent.” You smiled at everyone, only faltering once you’d gotten to Derek,
“Derek?” you spoke, disbelief in your tone,
“You know each other?” Emily asked, her curiosity evident, she smirked at Derek, almost knowing already how you two knew each other,
“Uh, yeah we do.” Derk chuckled, amazed that it was you sitting in front of him.
“We can talk about that later, let’s run through the case again for Y/N.” Hotch spoke.
Once the case had been talked about enough, you all went to what you wanted to do, your attention going to Derek, and his going straight to you. What neither of you knew was so did Emily’s, JJ’s and Spencer’s attention went to the two of you, the three sitting close enough to hear you both,
“I’m sorry I didn’t leave my number. I really meant to, I just rushed and forgot. I realised the moment I got to work.” Derek explained, hoping you wouldn’t think he did it on purpose,
“I’d hoped that was the case.” you spoke, your cheeks heating up,
“Definitely.” he spoke again. He leant forwards, honestly not caring if any of the team were watching as he took your hands in his, looking at you with a dopey grin on his face, “I haven’t been able to stop thinking about you.” he admitted,
“Neither have I. Haven’t been able to focus all morning.” you told him, suddenly getting shy,
“Well how about, after the case is over, I take you out to dinner.” he offered,
“I’d really like that.” you confirmed, thankful that Derek just happened to be the one you met the night before and who was now your colleague.

Late Spring
Summary: In an Italian restaurant somewhere in Nebraska you and the BAU decompress after non stop cases. And like a magic trick SSA Aaron Hotchner goes back to being Aaron
Word count: 1.8k
After a serial arsonist in North Hempstead, New York; a serial killer in Chandler, Arizona and an amber alert taking you to Lincoln, Nebraska back to back the entire team was running on fumes. Actually fumes were what you were running after the second week, right now it was just coffee and the thought of eventually getting to sleep in your own beds.
It’s not easy being in close quarters with the same group of people for so long, especially when you’ve had to share bedrooms for most of it. First a week with JJ, then three days with Emily and even one night with Spence after both Derek and Rossi refused to bunk with him citing intense sleep talking - which was, in fact, confirmed by you.
Eventually all the rooms started to blur together in your head, from the ugly pink explosion that was the bed and breakfast (which by the way had none), to the motel 6 in Nebraska that seemed straight out of a horror story, complete with an extremely creepy caretaker. Or future unsub Mike as Emily dubbed him.
Tonight was the last night before you could get home and you guys were celebrating big time, which at your current combined energy level meant an actual sit down meal where you didn’t have to look at a dismembered torso while trying to keep down some soggy fries and an under cooked burger.
You all ate in relative silence, brains too fried to talk about anything anymore, the rundown “italian” restaurant - yes Italian in air quotes just like Rossi insisted on doing every time he mentioned the place. The buzzing of the fluorescent light and the scraping of cutlery against plates being the only backdrop to your collective exhaustion.
The only good thing to come out of it was the fact that, finally, after close to three weeks Hotch could ditch the BAU Unit Chief SSA Hotchner and for once just be Aaron. And oh how you missed Aaron.
Despite having spent the better part of each day right next to him it felt like the chasm between you was larger than ever. It was what you had both agreed to; at work pretend like he’s just your unit chief and you’re just the media liaison. No room sharing, no public displays of affection.
Sometimes the affection bleed through the contours of professionalism he insisted on keeping well defined. Something as simple as him pressing his big palm in the middle of your back right between your shoulder blades as you spoke to him; heads a smidge closer together than strictly necessary.
Right now, though, he was just Aaron. Your Aaron. Sitting right next to you, chairs pushed together. Shirt sleeves rolled over his forearms, tie discarded in the hotel room along with his jacket and the last vestiges of whatever sense of professionalism he was still clinging to. His arm around the back of your chair as you leaned into it, head tilted back looking at him as he drank a beer.
He looks back at you and gives you a brief smile, the fondness in his eyes lingering, leg nudging yours underneath the table.
“Don’t tell me you’re tired already,” He says. “Me? Are you kidding?” You yawned “Send us off to the next case I’m ready” Although it wasn’t the cold the sleepiness was making the air conditioned room feel ten times colder so you shivered and took the liberty to lean even closer to him. His hand went to rub your arm trying to warm you back up.
“Do not” Derek chimed in “even joke about that, pretty boy said the same thing after Lincoln and look at us now”
“Yeah, look at us now, in Lincoln” Said Emily with a straight face before drowning the remainder of her beer and snatching JJs before she could realize what had happened.
“I’m too tired for this, you know what I meant.”
“mhhh, sooryy” You replied, not looking very sorry as you closed your eyes and rested your head on the crook of Aarons neck. Breathing in the comforting scent of his cologne and him, more present than ever after day three in the Nebraska summer. His hand is still trailing a path up and down your side, wrinkling your already very wrinkled green shirt and lulling you to sleep.
You felt Aarons lips nudge your temple talking to your in low gentle tones, his breath tickling the baby hairs in your forehead “Do no fall asleep on me or I’ll have to carry you back to the hotel”
“And you’re afraid that if people saw I would lose all of my hard earned Lincoln Nebraska street cred?”
He huffed a laugh before planting a whisper of a kiss on your temple “No, I’m afraid I’m going to throw my back and then you’ll be stuck taking care of me for two weeks”
“If it gets you to rest for two entire weeks I might just consider it”
“Jack would probably help”
“It’s good that you know us so well, and besides I saw you yesterday you still got it” You smiled against his neck remembering the brief but very interesting fight against the unsub before he could be apprehended. “Remind me to ask Penny if she has a copy of the surveillance tape, I’m planning on making the showing it at your birthday dinner next year”
“Look forward to it”
Suddenly you felt a small object hit your chest, looking down to see a crumpled napkin on your lap.
“Can you please get a room? This is the first decent meal I’ve had in weeks and I would hate to throw it back up” Said Emily with a mocking smile, her pearly white teeth contrasting with her faded, barely there plum lipstick.
“I’ve been trying to find a room for days now but none of you know how to cooperate” You reply with a huff.
“Saying please repeatedly until I tell you to shut up is not a good persuasion strategy” Said JJ frowning after getting her beer back from Emily and realizing it was almost empty.
“I don’t see why not, it’s never failed before” You said with a smug smile.
“Besides if we suffer, you suffer” Derek interjects.
“Aww just like a real family”
After a couple of minutes Spencer piped up next to Derek “I would have traded rooms with you”
“Don’t encourage her” Said JJ in her patented and perfected disgruntled mom voice
“I’m going to keep this in mind next time you ask us to babysit Henry so you can have alone time, Jareau”
“Okay, okay” Emily interrupted “Let’s all change subjects, the last thing I want is to talk more about Hotch’s sex life; no offense but in order for this to work I have to think of you like a Ken Doll”
You let out a startled laugh, properly awake now “oh I can assure you my friend-”
“Okay, that’s enough” Said Hotch trying to invoke his authoritative former prosecutor, current FBI unit chief voice. Which was, of course, completely useless when he was blushing so hard.
You just laughed once more, leaning over to briefly kiss his cheek in apology as your friends heckled you both.
What was meant to be a quick dinner before hitting the hay, although in this case the hay was actually a very thin and lumpy hotel mattress, turned into a couple more beers. And yes there were times this week when going to sleep and waking up to Emily's snoring face made you want to quit and move to the seaside but there was truly no other group of people that could make an “Italian” dinner this fun.
Afterwards you all headed you, the brief rise in energy quickly waning at the prospect of more than five hours of uninterrupted sleep.
Aaron held you back towards the rear of the group, his arm around you possibly the only thing keeping you upright. The dusk settling over the skyline painted the city pink and gold, you looked back at him standing next to each other on the sidewalk. His eyes a syrupy sweet caramel brown in the golden hour.
“Apparently there’s an ice cream place a couple of blocks from here, it’s supposed to be very good actually” He said looking down for a minute. It took you back to your first date, him asking to take you to a jazz bar which was more so Dave's plan than his, only to end up at a taco truck talking until three am. It amazed you then just as it did now how he could go from stern FBI agent, commanding a room without raising his voice to, well, Aaron.
You smiled up at him, the others long gone leaving you two enveloped in the last rays of sunlight.
“I’d love to, you might actually have to carry me back though, I don’t think this second wind is gonna carry me more than an hour”
“That’s alright, I heard that if I throw my back I get a couple of weeks”
“Whoever told you that was so smart”
“And beautiful”
“Can’t forget that part”
“Well I might not be able to swing two whole weeks but I did arrange to have three days off for everyone” Aaron said, hands in his pocket walking by leisurely next to you as passersby carved a path around you both, a hurried businessman bumping into your back made Hotch pull you closer still, once more enveloping your back.
“Are you serious?” At his assenting nod you couldn't help but smile “and you kept that all to yourself?”
“Mhm”
“Anything else up your sleeve Hotchner?”
“Aaron”
“Excuse me?”
“I’ve heard the name Hotch so often these last couple of weeks I almost forgot what my actual name sounded like” He said with a small smile, but you also knew by the way he melted when you said it that he was particularly fond of how it sounded coming out of your mouth.
“Okay, anything else up your sleeve, Aaron?” You asked fondly, unable to resist any longer and stealing a quick kiss before resuming your walk.
“No, nothing else”
“Okay”
“Oh I did convince Dave to share a room with Derek tonight which would indicate that I’m on my own tonight”
“No way, did I miss an anniversary or something?” You asked looking up at him
“No, I just missed you lately”
“Me too but no one else would budge on the room thing, how did you do it?”
“It only cost me forty bucks and promising to take over both Morgans and Rossi's reports for the last case”
“Ah bribery, should have done that sooner”
“You can’t blame yourself honey, I was a prosecutor after all”
You laughed once more, giddiness dispersing your exhaustion, making you feel like you could stay up until next morning, without trouble.
Stopping in the middle of the sidewalk, the ice cream shop just right around the corner, you drew him towards you, leaning up to kiss him slowly and unhurried. Savoring the feeling of coming home after three weeks and not being able to wait a moment more.

fun police - 2
eventual emily prentiss x reader / bau x reader
a/n: another fun police installment :)
Tumblr media
everyone was in the office today, no one out on cases and this was going to be as good a time as any to introduce their new addition to the rest of the team. after some negotiating emily and y/n had scheduled their first session for tomorrow morning. she planned to say all the right things to get it over with and hopefully keep the young woman’s attention off of her for as long as possible.
“could you all join me at the roundtable?” emily called as she exited her office. y/n had found her way down to her office before everyone started filtering in and emily thought it best to ease them into this new idea.
“do we have a case?” tara asked looking from garcia to emily as they all sat around the table.
“no, we don’t. i just wanted to make you guys aware of a new thing happening.” emily vaguely said crossing her arms with a sigh.
“new thing? what does that mean?” jj asked suspiciously.
“well it seems our team has been flagged for our lack of self-care. i’m assuming they took a look at a variety of things like number of vacation days to working days, our case loads and things like that. and since we’ve been flagged, we’ve got the pleasure of a personal wellness agent who will be working with all of us to establish healthy coping mechanisms to rely on during tough times.”
the room was bathed in silence. shock washing over everyone’s faces and emily rubbed her temples in anticipation. she readied herself for the questions she could feel forming but was interrupted by a knock on the open doorway. she looked up and met y/n eyes.
“i see you’ve queued me up pretty nicely.” y/n smiled tentatively as she eyed the faces in the room.
“everyone, our personal wellness agent y/n y/ln. i’m sure she can explain a bit more about this process.” emily gestured welcoming the younger woman into the room.
“of course! hi everyone, as your lovely unit chief said my name is y/n and i’m here to help. i’ve been hired on to make sure that the most hardworking team in the FBI is taking care of themselves.”
“oh that’s nice.” garcia smiled at the praise.
“flattery will get you far with this group,” rossi mumbled from his seat.
y/n rolled her eyes humorously before continuing, “as i’ve explained to your section chief, i’ve found that for teams like this individual meetings or wellness sessions seem to work best. it’s completely up to you how we spend our time but we’ll be working toward building in self-care where you can.”
“and if we don’t want to participate? not in defiance or anything, i just think i’m pretty well adjusted.” tara asked crossing her arms.
“then i’d unfortunately have to do my least favorite part of this work, report my findings and determine who is and is not fit for the field. and i’d really hate to do that.” y/n smiled sweetly causing the room of agents to groan. “no need to sound so excited. we’ll do whatever you like, you just gotta spend a lil time with me.”
“how soon can we get this over with?” rossi asked.
“we can start as soon as you like, except for tomorrow morning. that slot’s already been claimed.” y/n gestures to emily with a smirk.
“ohhh,” the agents choruses teasingly, causing emily’s cheeks to heat.
“alright alright, now you know. i expect you all to cooperate.” emily dismissed and headed back toward her office.
“i’m just down the hall if anyone feels compelled to come chat.” y/n grinned and waved before heading back down to her office. leaving the group of profilers more than a little irritated.
“well this sucks.” luke grumbled. “mandatory wellness time. is spending time with roxie not enough?”
“afraid not newbie. you all having to do this doesn’t surprise me, i don’t get why i have to do it. i’m probably the most zen person in this whole building. i prioritize me almost 75% of the time now. i’m very well thank you very much.” garcia rambled.
“do you think she’d accept me asking to take a nap in her presence as my wellness session?” tara asked the group.
jj shook her head at the groups adamant distaste for the new setup, “oh come on guys, it can’t be that bad. i mean she got emily to agree. and of all of us— she’s the least likely to take a even a minute for herself.”
“you’re right jj, but im not sure she agreed solely for the health benefits if you know what i mean.” rossi hinted.
“oh yeah, i’ve got a feeling she was thinking with more than just her brain.” tara nodded in rossi’s direction.
“emily being seduced into participation?” garcia gasped, scolding the profilers.
“can you blame her? we all saw our wellness agent right?” jj asked with a knowing shrug. “i’m just saying, we should all suck it up and do our little wellness sessions. it could be fun, who knows.”
“well wants first? i mean second…” garcia asked looking around the table.
“why don’t you go miss ‘im the most zen in this whole building’? should be pretty easy for you.” luke teased.
“i know you’re being annoying but i don’t care. i will go second and ill make a chart to keep track of the schedule.” garcia glared.
“great, im sure y/n would love that.” tara smiled with a shake of her head.
-
her session came a bit sooner than she would’ve liked. but she’d prepared for this mentally. anticipated all the questions y/n might ask and gone through the appropriate answers that would eliminate the need for this to happen again. she’d told y/n to meet her in her office similarly to how she did her first day. starting her morning being interrogated wasn’t ideal but it definitely didn’t hurt that y/n was…attractive. but that wasn’t important and she was trying very very hard to remember that when the younger woman knocked on the door frame of her office.
“ready to get started?” emily quickly, motioning for y/n to step into her office.
“wow, not even a good morning? you’re failing already, section chief prentiss.” y/n tsked as she sauntered over to the couch in the office.
emily gaped at the woman getting comfortable on her couch. “i’m failing already? doesn’t sound like you have high hopes for this at all.”
y/n didn’t even flinch at emily’s accusatory tone, “i’ve read your file. my expectations for your self-care practices are pretty low. now let’s get started, come relax on this nice couch so we can chat.”
“i’m relaxed plenty over here. start your questioning.” emily refused, straightening her back defiantly.
y/n eyed emily, one eyebrow raised in challenge. “if that’s relaxed, what does it mean to you as an individual to relax? define it in your own terms for me. because i’ll be honest— you don’t look relaxed at all.”
emily scoffed indignantly, “i know how to relax,”
“i didn’t say you didn’t, but im just curious. just humor me, what does emily prentiss do to relax?”
“i relax. i nap. a warm shower is always nice. i eat. i read. i do very relaxing things.” emily listened.
“almost everything you just listed is a basic necessity. and im struggling to believe you’re picking up a romance novel instead of a case file.” y/n spoke eyeing the older woman and when emily only grumbled y/n chuckled and continued. “how do cope with stress?”
“perfectly fine-ly.” emily quipped.
“uh huh, let me guess. a bottle of wine stashed in a drawer somewhere. and when you’re really struggling— puff through a pack of cigarettes?” y/n guessed and watched as emily tried to mask her facial reactions. she may not be a profiler but she had lots of experience reading clients for filth when it came to taking care of themselves.
“uh-“ emily started but the red of her cheeks was all y/n needed to know.
“okay, i have another questions. what activities bring you enjoyment?”
emily’s eyes raked over y/n involuntarily, and she found a way she’d be able to take back some control of the situation. “i don’t think that’s appropriate for work.” emily smirked.
“oh ho ho, i see agent prentiss. and how often do you do this task?”
“probably more than you can think of.” emily bluffed and ran her hands through her hair.
y/n’s eyebrow seemed permanently posed under her eyebrow at this point. this woman was going to do anything she could to get out of this. and as stubborn as emily was, she was just as frustratingly beautiful. “ah now agent prentiss, i thought you of all people would know not to judge someone by their looks. trust me, im well acquainted with the task you’re alluding to.”
and just like that— the ball was back in y/n’s court and emily was a blushing mess. also didn’t help that as soon as that image was in her head, that’s all she could really think about.
as y/n watched emily rub her reddened neck nervously, y/n chuckled sweetly and rose from the couch. “you know what, this was a very informative chat. same time next week?”
“next week?” emily squeaked.
“yeah, hun. next week. i’m gonna give you some homework too. next time we meet, i want you to have done at least four things to relax that aren’t basic needs.”
“homework?” emily spluttered in disbelief.
“yeah. if you’re good, there might’ve been a prize waiting for you.” y/n teased before heading out of emily’s office. “four things agent! just four.” y/n called over her shoulders as she headed out of the bullpen.
well that certainly didn’t go as well as emily had planned.

I’ve read a fic where Reid’s daughter dresses up as Penelope for Halloween… I know it isn’t Halloween yet but would you be willing to write one where Reid’s toddler daughter wants to dress as Hotch and she’s totally in character - frowning, scowling, and just capturing the Unit Chief to a tee bc she’s a little profiler? 👉🏼👈🏼🫶🏼 I’d love the team’s reactions, and I headcanon Hotch would be such a softie for Spencer’s daughter lol. Tysm!
Halloween Costume
Spencer Reid x Daughter!Reader
Summary: You dressed as your favourite profiler and unit chief for Halloween, you couldn’t wait to show him.
A/N: I could no way wait till Halloween to write this! It’s so cute!!
———
You loved Halloween, it was your favourite holiday. Not that you had experienced it many times as you were only a toddler but that didn’t stop you from going absolutely ecstatic when someone brought it up.
You were giggling with excitement as Spencer tied the little red tie to your suit, you had been insistent on who you wanted to be for Halloween to Spencer every time the holiday was mentioned.
Spencer smiled as he finished your tie and stood back a little to look at your full outfit, he let out an exaggerated gasp as you crossed your little arms. “Oh, you definitely look like Uncle Hotch now. He is going to love this costume.”
You squealed and clapped your hands, you were very excited to show the whole team your costume. You loved Hotch and you looked up to him a lot, you were looking forward to being him for Halloween.
Spencer chuckled and gave you a thumbs-up. He loved seeing you so happy about things with your childlike innocence. “Alright, Y/N, do your best Uncle Hotch face.”
You quickly got into character, putting a frown on your face and keeping your arms crossed, you were posing perfectly like the Unit Chief.
Spencer nodded in approval, smiling at your cute, little face. “You definitely have it down, little profiler. I can barely tell the difference! Are you ready to show everyone?”
You nodded eagerly and grinned. “Yes! We show everyone now, Daddy!”
Spencer gently grabbed your hand and walked you out into the bullpen where everyone was, you had your best little frown and scowl on, doing the best impression you could of Hotch.
Penelope gasped and squealed, quickly kneeling down to see your outfit and you. “Oh look at you, Y/N! Or should I say Hotch!? You look just like him, oh you did such a good job with your costume!”
You tried to suppress the shy smile threatening to creep up onto your face. You tried to lower your cute little toddler-like voice, it was so cute. “I in charge.”
JJ and Emily quickly walked over with big smiles on their faces. JJ crouched down and smiled. “You look like you’re definitely the boss, little miss! Look at this outfit!”
Emily nodded in agreement and tickled your sides. “You are going to blow away these other little Trick-or-Treaters!”
You couldn’t help but smile widely at all the compliments she was getting for her costume. You felt two strong arms pick you up and turn you around, you let out a squeal as you saw who it was. “Uncle Derek!”
“Excuse me, Hotch? Is that you? You seem to have shrunken! Hmm, or maybe I’ve just gotten much taller! Uncle Derek? I think that title is reserved for a special little genius.” Derek grinned, pretending he didn’t know it was you in costume.
“Uncle Derek, it me! It me Y/N! I just dressing up as Uncle Hotch.” You giggled and gave Derek a hug.
“Oh? Pretty girl? Little Miss Y/N Reid? My gosh, you really tricked me! I thought you were Hotch! Pretty girl you’ve really outdone yourself.” Derek gave you a big hug and put you back down on your two tiny feet.
You looked up at Spencer and smiled. “We go see Uncle Hotch now?
Spencer nodded and smiled, gently taking your hand and leading you up the ramp to Hotch’s office. “Of course, let’s go show him your costume!”
You walked quietly over to the door and gently pushed it open. You put your best frown on your face and walked in with your tiny hands on your hips. “Ahem, ‘cuse me! This my office!”
Hotch looked up with a small smile on his face, he stood up and walked over to you. “Oh my! It’s the Unit Chief. You look very professional, just like a profiler.”
You giggled and gave Hotch a big hug. “It me, Uncle Hotch! It’s Y/N!”
Hotch let out a quiet chuckle and hugged her back, he had a secret soft spot for you. “I think you need some proper identification.” He pulled out his ID badge and clipped it to your suit. “Now you’re officially the unit chief!”
You grinned and touched the ID. “Thank you, Uncle Hotch! We both be in charge?”
Hotch nodded his head, picking you up and setting you on his side. “Oh yes, we can both be unit chiefs, we’ll both tell everyone what to do.”
You nodded and quietly whispered in his ear. “You come Trick-or-Treating with me an’ Daddy?”
Hotch let a soft smile appear on his face, he looked back at you and stroked the top of your head. “Well, I think that I can make some time for that.”
You grinned excitedly and clapped your hands, looking at Spencer. “Daddy! Uncle Hotch is going too!”
Hotch walked back out into the bullpen with you in his arms. “Excuse me, everyone. My Co-Unit Chief and I are going Trick-or-Treating, she has also invited anyone who’d like to come along.”
You put your little hand up and frowned. “Wheels up in thirty!”
The rest of the night was a memorable one, the team and you went house to house getting candy and treats. Spencer was preparing for the intense sugar rush that was going to inevitably happen when they got home. The night ended with you sharing the candy with the team and falling asleep in the car on the way home.

You’d learned from movies how love ought to be | Emily Prentiss x F!reader
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Summary: Elizabeth Prentiss makes a surprise visit to the BAU. You can’t stand by idly as she belittles your (secret) girlfriend. Angst-> fluff
Word count: 1,670
A/N: I have re-written this about a million times but it’s finally at a place where I’m happy with it. Also, I really hate Emily’s mam. She’s such a cunt (excuse my French)
Tumblr media
After a gruelling case and even longer plane journey you had found yourself back at the BAU getting ready to finally go home. You waited for Emily by the elevator under the guise of needing to ask a follow up question about the case. Nobody other than JJ knew about your relationship, despite how long you had been seeing one another for. JJ only knew because she happened to spot the two of you out on a date. How that happened exactly you weren’t sure.
You smiled sheepishly across the room at your girlfriend, itching to be closer to her and hold her in your embrace once more. Emily entered the lift first and you followed soon after. Fingers twitching in controlled excitement, giddily thinking of snuggling up with Emily with a film playing in the background as soon as you get home.
You hadn’t been staying at your place recently. Emily’s townhouse had all but became your own- in everything but name. Too lost in your daydreams about your evening, you failed to notice that Emily stilled in the entryway of the elevator; back ramrod straight and hands curled into fists.
Your confusion was soon answered as you spotted her… Elizabeth Prentiss.
She stood with that ever present snarl on her face, eyes ablaze as she set her sights on Emily. “Do you have any idea what you have done, Emily Elizabeth Prentiss?” She seethed.
Emily deflated slightly at her mother’s cruel gaze and you couldn’t help but think it was awful to see a usually confident woman, such as Emily, reduced to a frightened child.  Her mother persisted in her assault, stalking towards your girlfriend to jab her pointy finger into her chest.
“You have embarrassed yourself. And most importantly, you have embarrassed me! How dare you drag our name through the dirt.”
“I did what was best for the team and solving our case, mother.” Emily was soft spoken as she replied, still afraid of upsetting her mother after all of these years.
“You-“
“Woah!” You cut off before she could bite out anymore awful remarks. “Who are you speaking to like that?”
Your blood was boiling. The heat encompassing your body wasn’t of embarrassment, but of pure, unadulterated rage. Emily had done the best she could in the circumstances given and you weren’t going to let a selfish, cynical woman take that away from her.
“Little, irrelevant girls should not but in places they do not belong.” She wasn’t even looking at you while she spoke, instead tilting her head at Emily and narrowing her eyes.
You stepped in front of Emily then. She would look at you while you spoke and hear what needed to be said. Emily glanced at you, silently begging you not to do anything rash but you chose to ignore her. How could you stand by and let someone belittle your girlfriend, relative or not?
“You will look at me when I speak to you.” You hissed.
Her eyes widened at your audacity, mouth opening to fire back a rebuttal but you spoke before she could get a word in edgewise. “How dare you come here and belittle your daughter so shamelessly in public? Emily Prentiss is the best unit chief this team could ask for and you coming her and suggesting otherwise does not only insult her but the whole team as well.”
“Her decisions are ours too.” You continued, blinded by your own anger. “If you’re going to be rude, you can leave. Not only are you unwanted here but your presence is only bringing negative attention to yourself- which I’m sure you don’t want.”
“After everything I have done for you… are you going to let your subordinate speak to me in such a manner, Emily?” Elizabeth quietly fumed in protest.
All eyes seemed to be on the three of you. Watching every move you made. Waiting. Listening. Cataloging every little detail away for later use. The air around you was still, thick with tension and simmering with rage. Elizabeth Prentiss stared at you as if you were nothing more than mud dirtying her extortionately priced shoes, and in some regards you supposed you were.
You watched as she turned on her heel, head held impossibly high, and turned away to stride out of the building. Good riddance, you thought bitterly. Hopefully she’ll stay in the pits of hell this time, never to re-emerge again.
What you weren’t expecting, however , was Emily’s short nails digging into your forearm, gripping you with such intensity that you couldn’t help but let out a shocked squeak. She lent closer to you, mouth to ear, her breathing irregular as it came out in short, erratic puffs.
“What were you thinking?” She growled low enough so that only you could hear.
“What? Emily…” Your voice faltered at the tone she was using. Never before had it been directed at you and you were suddenly regretting your actions.
“Do you have any idea what you have done?! You’re an idiot! She’ll hate me forever now.” Her voice had risen exponentially, drawing the attention of bystanders once more; as well as the attention of your team.
“Emily, I’m sorry, I really am. I should’ve have spoken out of turn but…”
“No.” She was seething. “You shouldn’t have!”
“You know what, if you want to suck up to your awful mother for the rest of your life then be my guest.” You shouted back. “But don’t you dare come crying to me when she doesn’t change.”
With a scoff you shoved her hand away from your arm and stormed out of the lobby. Your face was hot with a mixture of rage and embarrassment, the cool chill of the winter air a pleasant contrast to your scorching skin.
Emily had driven you to work today and you weren’t about to go back and beg her for a lift home. You puffed out a sigh of frustration before treading down the street in the vague direction of your home. You would have to walk down busy roads but so be it.
Snow fell gently around you, blanketing the ground in yet another pristine layer of white. You clutched your coat closer, savouring the warmth it provided as your frame shook with silent sobs. Your eyes, red-rimmed and swollen, stared blankly at the ground ahead.  Glistening trails left on your cold, flushed skin in wake of the tears streaming down your face.
Your breath came out in a shuddering gasp , misty puffs visible in the frigid air.Had you lost Emily before you truly even had her?
A shrill beep of a car horn tore you from your contemplation. To your right, your lover, or former lover, pulled up beside you; rolling down the window as she got close enough.
“Get in. You’ll catch your death out here.”
“No, thank you.” You bit out stubbornly. You didn’t want her help.
“Please. I’m sorry, I shouldn’t have snapped at you like that. We-we don’t have to talk but please let me drive you home.” She begged.
You considered your options carefully. On one hand, you could walk home which would probably take you hours and freeze to death while you were at it. Or, on the other hand, you could accept the lift from Emily and journey home in a warm, cozy car. The second option seemed much more fulfilling.
“Fine.” Was your only nibbled out reply.
True to her word, Emily didn’t try to instigate a conversation but you didn’t miss the way her eyes would glance over at you when she thought you weren’t looking. You took this chance to admire her for all she was. The long, slant of her nose was prominent under the dim light filtering in through the far windows; the silver roots of her hair shining ethereally against the black that made up the rest of it.
The grey would always be beautiful to you. It was simply stunning. And the three colours of grey that blended into one would always be exquisitely beautiful, even if she couldn’t see it herself.
“I’m sorry for shouting at your mother.” You blurted quietly, nails picking at the skin around your fingers.
Her hand came to clasp yours, stopping your fingers from their self inflicted torture. A small kiss was placed to your knuckles before she placed your hand back down, opting to rub soothing circles onto the back of your hand instead.
“No, my love. I should be the one apologising.”
“Wh-“
“Ah-ah, let me finish. Never in my life have I had someone stand up to me against her and I think the prospect of losing my mother, even though she is a terrible one at that, was so daunting. But then I realised that I wouldn’t really be losing much anyway. You and the team are the only family I need.” She said it with such conviction that a fresh set of tears sprung to your eyes.
“You shouldn’t have to choose between us or your mom, Emily.”
She shrugged at that. “There isn’t really a choice. My mother could never give me what I need, but you can.”
“What do you need?” You asked slightly puzzled at water this was going.
“Love. Unconditional love and a source of comfort. You provide that and more and I can only hope that I can be that for you too.”
“Oh, Emily… you’re that and more.” You breathed.
Taking advantage of the fact the car was stopped at a red light, you leant over the console to press a searing kiss to her lips. One that you hoped expressed your love and devotion. Emily seemed to get the message, her own lips meeting your own eagerly, like a woman starved, tongue peaking out to meet yours desperately. Sweet whispers of “I love you” permeated the air as you basked in Emily’s presence.
And the team definitely were not surprised to find a photo of you two posted on social media late that night titled: “Forever and always”
Tumblr media
A/N: I know that your ask asked for more fluff/comfort but I couldn’t help myself with the angst(whoops). Anyways, hope the end is sufficient enough!

Engagement Party
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Season Three Episode Four
Dr. Spencer Reid x Reader (Aaron Hotchner’s Sister)
Words: 2526
Series Masterlist
Summary: After harrowing events have left everyone drained, the team takes the time to celebrate their favorite engaged couple.
Notes: This is my apology for next week.
-
It was supposed to be a surprise but thanks to Aaron’s warning and Penelope’s less-than-subtle hints about the night’s ‘dinner party,’ you knew at least somewhat what you were getting yourselves into.
“Are you ready?” You asked, helping Spencer out of the car.
He winced. “Do we have to?” Parties weren’t exactly his thing- especially if he was at the center of it.
“You know Penelope would kill us if we bailed. She’s worked so hard on all of this. She even convinced Dave to let us use his house.” You kissed his cheek. “Besides, it’ll be fun.”
Spencer counted the cars in the driveway. Everyone was here. They must all be waiting inside.
You spotted Aaron’s car and swallowed.
You hadn’t spoken to your brother since you found out he stepped down as Unit Chief. When you talked to Derek- his choice for command- you could tell that he was worried. Aaron was getting reckless, he was getting desperate. It scared you.
But tonight wasn’t about that.
Tonight was about you and Spencer and celebrating with the people you loved.
“You okay?” Spence asked, grabbing your hand through the gap in his crutches.
You gave him a small smile. “Yeah. Let’s go before the pasta gets cold, huh?”
Rossi was at the door before you even got a chance to knock. “I was wondering when you two would finally show up. Garcia is driving me crazy.”
He smiled and ushered you inside.
You and Spencer exchanged a look and you gave his hand another squeeze.
“So what’s the occasion for the, um, dinner party,” Reid asked, straining the last two words.
“I’ll let them tell you.” Rossi turned on the lights in the kitchen.
“Surprise!” A chorus of cheers erupted at you as the whole team jumped out from behind the counter.
You both put on your best 'shocked' faces.
“Oh my god you guys,” you beamed. “This is amazing.”
“And totally unexpected,” Spence said in a less than convincing tone.
You nudged his side.
Penelope hurried around the counter and pulled the two of you into a hug.
“I am so so happy for you two,” she gushed. “We all wanted to do something since you didn’t really get to celebrate before.”
“Getting attacked by a serial killer tends to dampen the spirit,” you muttered.
Spence glanced at you.
You did that sometimes. Hid things behind the idea of insignificance or humor to make it feel less real. He let go of your hand and wrapped an arm around your shoulders, kissing your forehead.
“What are we waiting for, let’s get this party started!” You cheered, stepping out of your fiance’s concerned, caring hold.
Emily poured the sparkling cider while Derek dished up the salad for you.
“Breaking my heart, Professor Hot Stuff,” he teased.
“Oh, Agent Morgan,” you laid a hand on his cheek. “It never would have worked out between us.”
Derek chuckled and pulled you into a hug, kissing your cheek. “Congratulations, Y/N.”
You finished piling dinner onto your plate and sat at the table next to JJ and Will.
Spencer watched you from across the dining room. He couldn’t help but admire your smile, your laugh as you joked with the blonde agent, the way your hair reflected the lights of the chandelier.
Your smile was genuine, your laugh full.
Even in the darkness of everything, you managed to be a light. His light.
“She’s really something, huh?” Rossi said, handing Reid a glass of cider.
“Yeah.” Reid smiled. “She’s everything.”
Rossi chuckled and pat the younger agent on the back. “Ah, young love.” He gave him a teasing wink. “Makes me nauseous. Let’s join the others.”
Spencer laughed and followed him out to the table where he sat between Morgan and Hotch, across from where you were telling JJ about how he’d tried to bring you breakfast one morning, but because of his crutches he ended up dropping the tray on you while you were sleeping.
“It’s the thought that counts, right?” You snickered.
“Sure, make fun of the crippled guy. It’s not like he was injured in the line of duty or anything,” Spence fired back, lightly kicking you with his good leg under the table.
“I know that Dr. Barton is certainly thankful it was your leg and not his head,” JJ said, taking a drink of her water.
“I’d be thankful if you didn’t almost die every few months,” you muttered, smirking.
Spencer’s eyes widened. “Coming from you?”
You both laughed, joined by the others at the table. It was a kind of humor that only they could appreciate. They knew how important it was to make light of your lives every once in a while- even if it meant making light of the moments your lives almost ended.
The only one who didn’t laugh was Aaron. He smiled a little, but you see the tension in his shoulders and in the way he held his fork.
He was thinking about Foyet. About you lying on the floor next to him, bleeding out.
So you raised your glass in his direction.
“To beating the odds and to surviving when we probably shouldn’t have,” you said. He lifted his eyes to yours and you gave him a reassuring nod. “And to the people who help us through it afterward.”
“Here here,” Emily cheered.
Everyone raised their glasses, Aaron being the last.
Your brother watched you for a moment and something passed between you. An odd mix of hope and fear that only something like this- after what you’d been through- could bring about. He was thrilled you were happy and he didn’t want anything to hurt you ever again.
You mouthed that three-word phrase and clinked your glass against his.
“I love you too,” Aaron whispered.
Dinner passed in casual conversation, laughter, and many teasing remarks from Derek and Penelope. You helped JJ clear the plates and noticed that people had started whispering.
Every time you tried to catch Penelope and Emily in their secret conversation, they just smiled and waved innocently at you.
You gave them a glare and a hand motion that said ‘I’m watching you.’
They batted their lashes like they had no idea what you meant.
You just smiled and shook your head.
“Is there something about tonight that I don’t know about?” You asked JJ once you were both taking dishes to the kitchen.
She simply shrugged. “I have no idea what you’re talking about.” She checked her watch. “But if you could go sit with your fiance right now, that would be great.”
“You know surprises aren’t either of our thing, right?”
“I told you.” JJ winked. “I don’t know what you’re talking about.” She shooed you away and you found that Derek had moved, leaving the seat next to Spencer empty.
You leaned down and kissed his cheek. “They’re planning something else.”
“Yeah.” He turned to you and spoke through a smile. “I got that when we walked in the door.”
“I’m starting to rethink your idea of running.”
He laughed and took your hand. “It’s too late now. We just have to endure it.”
Right as he said it, a song began over the speakers.
“Now I… had… the time of my life.”
“Oh my god,” you gasped, putting a hand over your mouth to contain your laughter.
“What?” Spencer looked around, confused. “I don’t get it. What’s the song?”
Your mouth fell open. “You’ve never seen Dirty Dancing?”
He gave you his usual thin-lipped smile and shook his head.
“I know what we’re doing on our honeymoon.”
“I don’t think movies are the traditional route.” Spence leaned over and kissed you, taking you by surprise. He wasn’t usually one for public displays of affection, but the way he smiled when he pulled back gave you butterflies.
Emily, JJ, and Penelope all came out of the kitchen at the chorus, belting at the top of their lungs.
“Because I had the time of my life!” They all sang, working together to carry the biggest cookie you’d ever seen in your life. It was chocolate chip, with frosting written across the top.
Congrats Y/N and Spencer!
Beneath the lettering, two ring pops were stuck into the cookie, blue and red.
“What is this?” Spencer laughed.
Morgan came up behind him to russell his hair. “Congratulations, Lover-Boy.”
By the next chorus, everyone was singing-even Aaron, with a grin that was becoming rarer and rarer anymore.
“Come on.” You grabbed Spencer’s hand and pulled him out of the chair, letting him put his weight on you instead of his bad leg. You waved to everyone else. “If we’re doing this, so are all of you.”
You led Spencer and the rest of the group to the back patio where you could still hear the music, and you started to dance.
For Spence, of course, it was more swaying than anything else, but you spun and dipped and circled around him, making him grin wider than you thought was possible.
He spun you into his arms and held you there, moving with the music as it changed into something slower.
“I love you,” he whispered.
“I love you too.”
You kissed him, not caring that everyone was still dancing around you- even when you heard Derek’s slow whistle. You just flipped him off over Spence’s shoulder and smiled against your fiance’s lips.
Eventually, the music died down and you stood in the middle of the patio, forehead pressed against Spencer’s, looking into each other’s eyes. As the beat vanished, it was replaced by the tapping of a glass.
Penelope stood with a tray full of more sparkling cider, tapping one of the flutes with a knife.
“If the two of you thought you were getting out of this without speeches, you are very mistaken,” she grinned.
“Penelope, that’s what vows are for,” you laughed.
“Yes, well, we can work on those later.” She handed out the flutes, ending with the two of you. “Now profess your love, my loves.”
Everyone stood around you, smiling and waiting.
“Okay, I guess we’re doing this.” You kept an arm around Spencer to support him without his crutches, your fingers gripping his shirt to support your nerves. “Clearly, I didn’t have anything prepared, so thank you, Penelope.”
“Yes, thanks Garcia,” Spencer laughed.
“You’re so very welcome.” She waved a hand for you to continue.
A round of snickers circled around and you took a deep breath.
“I guess,” you took a step back so you could hold up your glass to the man beside you, “A toast to Dr. Spencer Reid. Someone who has not only become the person I want to be with for forever, but who has anchored me through the stormiest seas. He is a light in the darkness, a voice in the terrifying quiet.” You found yourself blinking back tears, struggling to get your words out. “Spencer, there aren’t the words to describe exactly what you’ve done for me or even begin to express how I feel, so I’ll start with these: I love you, Dr. Spencer Reid and thank you for showing me what it’s like to be loved the way you love me.”
Even Dave was dabbing his eyes when you were finished, everyone listening intently and contently.
Spencer kissed you without hesitating, his emotions taking over.
You pulled back, smirking. “If I have to, you have to.”
“I know, I know.” He kissed you again quickly. He paused. He took a drink. He cleared his throat.
“Come on, Boy Genius. It takes way more than this to shut you up,” Morgan teased.
Emily elbowed him.
Spencer inhaled sharply, looking down at the ground to not psych himself out.
“I used to think that love- attraction, romance, intimacy- were all chemicals in our brains in order to ensure procreation. I know now that that can’t possibly be true.” He swallowed and looked back at you. “Because you have taken so much more than my mind. Everything I am is yours.” Spencer held you a little closer. “We all know how short life is. How uncertain everything can be.” He held up his glass. “So, to Dr. Y/F/N Y/L/N.  I don’t want to spend another minute not spending my life with you.”
You came together for another passionate kiss and everyone cheered.
The music started up again.
It took a few moments of celebrating for Spencer to realize you weren’t next to him anymore.
With everyone dancing and celebrating, he slipped off to find you, feeling Hotch’s eyes on him as he left.
You were sitting on the front steps, tears streaming down your cheeks, your hand searching for the necklace that wasn’t there.
“That’s definitely not the reaction I was hoping for,” Spence said, sitting down beside you. He took your hand. “What is it?”
“It’s like you said. Life is so uncertain. You almost died of anthrax. I almost died on my birthday- twice. I mean, Hayley isn’t here because she had to be put in protective custody from the man who almost killed me and my brother. The man who took the gift you gave me for my graduation.” You laid your hand flat on your collarbone.
Spencer frowned. “You didn’t tell me that.”
“It’s what he took. The souvenir he’ll put on his next victim.” You leaned forward, arms on your knees. “I know it’s such a stupid thing to be upset about, but I loved that necklace, and now…” You trailed off, shoulders slumped. You gave him a small smile. “Sorry.”
Spencer laid a hand on your cheek. “Don’t be.”
You pressed your lips to his palm. “I promise, it’s been a great night. I guess it just hits me sometimes.”
He tucked a hair behind your ear and shifted so he was standing again.
“I hope it’s not too much for one more thing.”
You tilted your head.
“What do you mean?”
“Well, as Garcia pointed out, last time, things didn’t end up going the way we thought they would. And I know our lives are far from normal.” Spencer put a shaky hand in his pocket.
Why was he so nervous?
It wasn’t like you hadn’t already said yes.
“But I thought I’d try at least one thing that was traditional.”
Spencer got down on his good knee, holding on to the rail with one hand, and pulling a small box out of his pocket with the other.
You gasped as he opened the box, revealing the most beautiful ring you’d ever seen. Vintage with a diamond surrounded by sapphire.
“Spence-”
“Do you like it? I found it at an antique store and it made me think of you and-”
You interrupted him by nearly tackling him, pressing your lips to his.
“They’re over here!” Emily’s voice called. She grinned down at you. “Oh god, am I interrupting something?”
The rest of the group all rushed around the corner to join her.
You both glanced around at the people who meant more than any toast could describe. Your eyes met your brother’s.
And he smiled.

ok i dont know if you do requests or not but this is just something thats been ricocheting around in my head for days and i need to get it out before my brain completely rots. whether or not you want to write it is up to you i just really needed to share this with a hotch lover.
nonbau!reader knowing that the team have a really tough local case their all working overtime on and deciding to try to cheer them up and destress them a bit so she spend a few hours cooking this amazing delicious meal because she knows they'll probably just get takeout. so she swings by the bau around 6ish with the food and the whole team flock around her and around hugging her and thanking her and immediately digging in.
hotch notices from his office and comes down looking way grouchier than normal and hes like "excuse me we have a case to work on im not sure why youre all standing around when theres work to be done. and r why are you here distracting my team they need to focus" before going back into his office and the team is shook bc aaron has NEVER spoken to you like that before. and youre highkey offended like ?? i spent hours of my time doing a nice thing and im getting bitched at like im his subordinate??
but then you slam your purse down on jjs desk, take your earrings out and put your hair up in a ponytail and youre like "give me 15 minutes and ill have that attitude sorted put no problem." before marching away into hotchs office locking the door and drawing the shades and derek and emily are crying laughing cause they know exactly whats about to happen but reid is confused like ??? is she gonna fight with him? why did she put her hair up? whats so funny? and pen and jj have to explain that you went up there to give him a bj and hes just like?!?! AT WORK?!?? and rossi is just watching the shenanigans unfold like 🤭🤭
and you do eventually come back down from his office wiping your mouth on the back of your hand and your hair is significantly more ruffled than before and hotch looks subdued and even a little embarrassed and he just mutters a quiet apology to the team before grabbing a plate of the food you brought (which is actually his favorite meal of yours) before kissing you and thanking you for coming to see him.
My oh my, do I love the way your mind works 😈 Thank you for this request (& for your patience as I took 84 years to write it)! I hope you enjoy 🖤

__________
A rapid series of buzzes on the table beside you has you pulling your attention away from the sizable dent you’ve made in the stack of thesis papers to be graded for your class. You exchange your favorite pen for your phone, unlocking the screen to find several texts from your closest friend sent in quick succession:
5:49pm SOS
5:49pm (Save Our Stomachs)
5:50pm Pls we’ve been going in circles on this case and he’s in a Mood
You can’t help but smile at the he in question, your stoic, stalwart husband- and your friend’s unit chief. You fire back a response:
-5:50pm Em :( Is he holed up in his office?
5:50pm You know it
-5:51pm Classic 🙄 Lucky for youuuu I’m already making dinner for my favorite people!
The oven timer beeps as if to punctuate your statement, and you rise from your spot at the kitchen table while typing out another message.
-5:51pm Scratch that- it’s ready. Be there asap rocky
-5:51pm Be brave little soldier 🫡
5:53pm You’re my fucking hero
You gather enough plates and cutlery to dish up dinner to the team of agents, then pack them up alongside the foil-covered Pyrex container fresh out of the oven. Deciding against changing out of your yoga pants and your boyfriend’s old law school t-shirt, you pluck the pencil out of your bun that was holding your hair up and toss it onto the table, snag your keys, and make your way out to the car.
The drive into the city is a relatively short one, given that most of the traffic is heading in the opposite direction at this time on a Friday evening. You navigate your way into the parking garage, then head upstairs with your precious cargo.
“Evening, Mrs. Hotchner,” your favorite security guard greets you as you step out of the elevator, and you flash him a smile with a greeting in return. “Come grab a plate when you’re done your rounds,” you call over your shoulder, and his answering grin tells you he’ll be patrolling the floor a little faster than usual tonight.
Four heads pop up from their desks at the sound of the glass double doors opening, shoulders sagging with relief when they spot your bright smile and the telltale bag in your hand that means dinner is served. Derek’s quick to jump up and help you with the heavy container as Emily, Spencer, and JJ follow the two of you into the round table room, animatedly filling you in on their day. JJ’s fingers fly across her screen, and Penelope is rounding the doorway from the back hallway by the time you make it upstairs and start setting up, arms outstretched to pull you into a hug while declaring, “You’re my favorite Hotchner, did you know that?”
“We both know I come second to Jack,” you joke, and Emily lets out a happy groan as she digs into her meal, professing, “You’re at least tied now.”
A pair of solid hands lands on your shoulders from behind, and you feel the familiar scratchiness of Dave’s beard pressing kisses to your cheeks in greeting. “What would we do without you?”
With a laugh, you turn to offer him a helping and answer, “Simply perish.”
Your heart swells as the team settles down around the table enjoying the home cooked meal, but there’s one very obvious absence. A glance at your husband’s office reveals the door is still closed, the room dark save for a glow through the open blinds that you know is from his little desk lamp. Deciding to give him a few more minutes of solitude before barging in and demanding that he take a break to eat, you join your friends at the table to tell them about the senior prank your students recently pulled in an attempt to give their minds a reprieve from their current case.
“I bet you Morgan did stuff like that all the time,” JJ accuses amid catching her breath from laughing at the story about the two chickens released on the top floor, cleverly labeled one and three.
Derek smiles back, ready to take credit, but Emily cuts in with, “A psychological prank like that sounds more like something Spence would do.”
“C’mon now, pretty boy wouldn’t want to inconvenience his teacher,” Derek teases, eliciting a pout from the youngest of the team who counters with, “Hey, I won that prank war against-”
“What’s going on here?”
A hush falls over the room at the sound of Aaron’s voice, the question itself seemingly innocent but its intention clearly to reprimand. Five pairs of eyes drop downward, leaving only you and Dave making eye contact, the older man mouthing an empathetic, Busted, in your direction.
Unbothered, you swivel in your chair to meet your husband’s gaze with a cherubic smile, your voice positively dripping in honey. “Mom’s feeding the kids because Dad forgot that sustenance is important for your brain and body. Now c’mon, take a break and-”
“Does it seem like I have time for that right now?”
Your eyebrows shoot up at his tone, and you drop the teasing lilt to your voice. “Aar, I just wanted you guys to-”
“Go home, Y/N, please,” he requests quietly, pressing his thumb and forefinger to the bridge of his nose with a soft exhale. “We can’t afford to be distracted right now. Everybody finish up and get back to work.” He turns on his heel and returns to his office without so much as a hello or goodbye or thank you, my love, for being so thoughtful and taking care of us directed your way.
Once his footfalls have receded, the entire group releases a collective breath as if they’ve just escaped being chewed out by the principal- at your expense. When you turn back around, you’re met with expressions of shock that reflect your own, like the kids literally just witnessed their dad being mean to their mom for the first time.
“You know how Aaron gets with a case,” Dave tries to soothe your ruffled feathers, and JJ jumps in with, “I’m sure he didn’t mean to come off like that, Y/N, he’s just-”
“Stressed?” you finish her thought for her. You rise abruptly from your chair, dropping your purse on the table with a resounding thud before digging through it to find a spare hair tie. “I know he is. And I also know my husband did not just say that to my face,” you grumble under your breath, combing your fingers through your hair to pull it into a quick ponytail while continuing your tirade. “After I spent hours making a meal between doing my own work? No sir, uh uh, SSA Hotchner. That man needs to relax.”
Spencer leans over to Derek while you carry on quietly cursing their boss for his attitude and asks, “Should we be concerned?”
Derek lets out a snicker before answering, “Maybe for Hotch’s di-”
“Dignity!” JJ cuts in with a sharp look at her colleague, trying and failing to suppress her own smile.
You pause in the doorway, squaring your shoulders before turning back to the team to say, “You guys eat. Enjoy. I’ll take care of your boss.”
“Yes, ma’am,” Emily snorts out, clearly amused. Laughter, applause, and a distinct wolf whistle courtesy of Derek follow you down the carpeted walkway to your husband’s office.
-----(Read Behind Closed Doors here!)-----
When you return to the round table room several not-so-subtle minutes later, you’re greeted by a bunch of giddy smiles, a knowing look from Rossi, and Spencer’s pink-tinged cheek since he’s refusing to make eye contact with you. “All better,” you announce proudly, dropping into a chair before tugging the hair tie from your now slightly tangled locks and combing your fingers through a few persistent knots. “Everybody good and full?”
“Some more than oth-”
You cut your sharp gaze over to Derek and he mimes zipping his mouth shut, a smirk still playing at his lips.
“What he means to say,” Pen huffs, slapping his shoulder, “is thank you so much for dinner, sweetie.”
“It was my pleasure,” you answer genuinely. “You know I love taking care of you guys.”
“And we’re very lucky you do,” your husband’s baritone voice rumbles from the doorway behind you. You turn to find a sufficiently chastened Aaron entering the room, and you offer him your cheek when he places his hands on your shoulders and bends to press a kiss to your smiling face. “I, uh, just wanted to apologize for my earlier-”
“Temper tantrum?” you offer, and Aaron squeezes your shoulders in warning before continuing, “Outburst. I let the stress of the case get the best of me and neglected my duties to prioritize the health of this team. Luckily, my darling wife is always there to make up for my shortcomings.”
You catch your best friend’s eye and shoot her an exaggerated wink at your husband’s word choice, forcing Emily to cover up a laugh with a cough. Aaron’s hand slides over to the nape of your neck, and you know you’re in for it once this case is over.
And you wouldn’t have it any other way.

Do I make you nervous?

!NOT PROOFREAD!
(ik it's chief em but Derek and Spencer are still gunna be in the BAU)
Emily's pov:
I walked to the round table as I just got notified about a case out in Montana and had called in the team. I was setting out everyone's tablets and got Garcia to send them the case information.
I heard some shuffling behind me and footsteps approaching the room. I turned around and saw y/n, she's a younger agent that joined the team around 2 years ago. She's an amazing profiler and has adapted to the team well, although she always seems to be a bit nervous around me. I'm not sure if it's because I'm her boss, or maybe she finds me intimidating? I'm not sure.
"Hey!" she says in her usually cheery voice.
"Hi, you got here quick." I say surprised at her speed, I only called them in like, 10 minutes ago.
"Yeah, I was in the area, so I just came in." She was looking everywhere but my eyes and a rosey tint stained her face. I smirked to myself as she set down her coffee cup and took a seat.
Reader pov:
Oh my god. Could she be anymore hot? Like I know she's my boss and quite a bit older than me but, hey, a girl can dream. She can obviously feel my stare and turns round to look at me, I instantly avert my gaze to the tablet in front of me and start flicking through the crime scene photos.
"Y/n/n, can I ask you something?" She asks as she stalks closer to me. Heat rises up my neck and into my face once again.
"Uh- uhm yeah ofc course." At that moment Garcia walks through the door completely oblivious (which is very strange, she notices everything) of all the tension she just walked in on.
"Okay so, the case was sent to the tablets 15 minutes ago, the jet is ready and everyone should be here- oh y/n/n hi!" her voice lifting my mood instantly. Pen has that effect on everyone she meets and I love that about her.
"Hi Pen!" I reply just as enthusiastically, happy to have the previous conversation interrupted.
Once Garcia had come in she was closely followed by: Spencer, Rossi, Tara, Derek and JJ. We all sit down, ready to be briefed about the case.
"Okay so we're going to the one and only Treasure state of Montana my crime fighting friends..."
Time skip to when they're in Montana:
Emily pov:
Me and y/n are setting up in the local PD while everyone else is out at either, crime scenes, disposal sights or interviewing witnesses. I chose for her to stay with me because she's been acting weird around me ever since she joined the team but, it's been getting worse recently. I was going to ask her about it in the meeting room earlier but, we were interrupted by Garcia.
"Can you pass me the photos from the scene?" She asks, looking at me with those gorgeous y/e/c eyes. She's your subordinate Emily Jesus- I mean she's been acting weird but that doesn't mean she likes you! I look around in the case box and pull out the photos, she had shifted her position so she was now not facing me. I walked over and brushed my hands over her lower back and handed them to her. Her head snapped round to face me as she took the photos. Her fingers danced over mine as she took them from my hand. I see her blushing as she smiles and look back to the board. This is going to be fun.
Reader pov:
HUH? Her hand brushed and lingered on my back and she touched my hand as she gave me the photos. God I don't know if I'm reading too far into this. I really hope I'm not.
I begin pinning up the photos as Derek and Spencer walk in the room.
"You got something?" Emily asks them expectantly.
"Yeah, a plate from the vehicle the UnSub used to kidnap Sarah Johnston. 24Y-FTX." Spencer said as he picked up his phone, presumably to call Garcia.
"Already? So this is going to be over quite quick then, huh?" Derek looks over and nods as Garcia's voice rung out from Reid's phone.
"The car is registered to a Gary Solomon, and Ive got a home address and he's unemployed so no work address! Sending it to you now!" Pen hung up as we checked our phones.
"Get JJ, Rossi and Tara to meet us there." Emily tells Morgan as we all walk to the SUV's. Derek and Spencer get into one, leaving the other to me and Emily. Great.
We climb into the car and speed off in the direction of the house. I can feel Emily's eyes on me at points but I choose to ignore her and focus on saving the girl he took.
We pull up to the house and get ready with the team to storm it, going in our original groups, me and em round the back, JJ, Rossi take the left, Tara and Spencer take the right, and Derek breaks down the door and goes in the front. We go in through the back, Emily in front of me and we begin our sweep through the house. Doors are swung open and signals are passed left and right.
"Hey, stop a sec." Emily says holding up her hand. I hear a faint creaking of floorboards to our left. I raise my gun and point it down the dark hallway of the house. We being walking down it, slowly as to not give away our position.
"Look out!" I hear Emily say before she grabs me by my hips and pulls me flush against her. I hear a bullet whistle past my ear. I lift my gun and shoot the guy a few times before he drops to the ground.
A sigh of relief escapes my mouth as Morgan simultaneously radios in that they found the girl. It takes me a second to realise Emily is still gripping my hips and that if I were to move an inch closer our lips would touch. I clear my throat and break away from her warmth as I go to check the guy is gone. As I suspect, he's dead so we call in the ambulance crew to pick him up.
"Good work here today guys, the jet isn't leaving till the morning as it's too late right now but, I think we could all do with a little sleep. Garcia booked a hotel just down the street so let's get going." A chorus of 'thank god's' and 'good, I didn't want to sleep in the jet' rippled through the night air as we made our way to the SUV's once again.
Time skip to when they're at the hotel:
Emily pov:
I walk over to the front desk and ask for the reservations made under the name Prentiss, and the lady at the desk tells me there's been 4 rooms booked, two double and two single as they were sold out of everything else. Instantly JJ and Tara, and Spencer and Derek pair up and run to grab the keys for the double room and speed off before we can argue. I look at Rossi and can see he clearly doesn't want to share a room which I totally understand and hand him a key to his own room.
"Looks like we're roommates for the night," I say to the y/h/c standing next to me. As soon as I said it she averted her eyes from raking up my body to the floor. She muttered something I couldn't quite make out but I chose to not push due to her demeanour, something about us sharing a room is making her nervous and I think I know exactly what. We step into the lift and I click the floor we're on, y/n was slightly in my way as I did it so I help her waist to get lean over her, I felt her tense and the relax under my touch. I stand beside her as we start our silent ascent to our floor.
Reader pov:
I'm sharing a room, with one bed, with Emily Prentiss. If I wasn't so helplessly attracted to her I'd be okay, but, I'm helplessly attracted to her so...
We walk to our room and she swipes the key card to let us in. There isn't even a sofa to sleep on. Great, so we're definitely sharing a bed.
We move silently as we change and do our nighttime routines. Emily starts walking towards me as I brush my hair in the full length mirror.
"I never got to ask you that question you know," My breath catches in my throat at the proximity. I can feel her hot breath on my neck, and her hands ghost over my waist as she speaks. I stiffen at the touch and look away. "Do I make you nervous?" I dryly swallow as I look at her.
"What would you do if I said yes?"
"You'll have to find out."
I turn around and meet her eyes, her hands are now firmly planted on my waist, her grey hair falling perfectly over her shoulders and her pyjama tanktop capturing her figure perfectly. My arms find their way around her neck as I lean in a little bit closer, her nose brushes over mine as I do so.
"Yes, you do." I whisper, feeling my breath fan over her lips.
As soon as I finish my sentence she closes the gap in a soft, slow kiss. It's warm and comforting, as our lips dance together as if we've done this a thousand times before. The cage of butterflies in my stomach doubles and she puts her right hand on my cheek and starts caressing my face as she deepens the kiss by running her tongue over my bottom lip and asking for entrance, which I gladly gave. Our tongues fight for dominance, and she quickly wins that battle. She explores my mouth, not leaving an inch untouched. I happily sigh into the kiss, who knew she felt the same way? Air begins to become a problem and we pull away. Her dark eyes, stare at me for a moment before pulling me back in to peck my lips once more.
"When we get back home, do you want to go on a date with me?" Emily seems nervous to ask the question, which I find weird for two reasons: one, is the em is never nervous and two, her tongue was just down my throat, what does she think?
"I'd love to em." I smile ear to ear as I get pulled into her warm embrace.
"C'mon let's go to sleep, it's getting late." I agree with her as we slip under the covers, our bodies mould together as if we were two puzzle pieces sliding into place. She was behind me, spooning me and she had her arms wrapped tight around me. I had my head under hers and one my arms are tangled with hers as they wrap around me. She kisses the crown of my head as I drift of to sleep, my only thought being that this, us, it just feels right.
She's my person.
A/N: lmao sleep deprived and had motivation sorry if it isn't great, DONT FORGET TO LEAVE REQUESTS!!!

Title: Never Gonna Happen
Pairing: Aaron Hotchner x Reader
Word Count: 904
Warning: bit of angst, pretty on par with episodes
A/N: Saw these photos and gifs, wanted to see what I could do with them. Enjoy!
The SUV hadn’t stopped when Hotchner jumped out of the vehicle, immediately sprinting towards the other agents running.
“Hotch!” Morgan yelled out as he chased after him. “Hotch stop!”
The agents turned the corner into an open lot, Hotchner and Morgan immediately behind them. One of the agents tackled him, taking him down hard onto the pavement.
Hotchner drew his weapon. “Move!” He yelled at the agent. They rolled off the unsub and Hotchner's foot was immediately on the man’s throat, gun aimed at his face.
Tumblr media
“Hotch!” Morgan yelled again as he came up behind him. “Stop! We need him,” he grabbed Hotchner’s arm. “We need him…alive. You know that.”
Hotchner looked over his shoulder at Morgan. “Fine. Watch him. He needs at least four men on him at all times. We can’t fuck this up. Y/N needs us to not fuck this up.”
Walking back to the other SUVs that were rolling up, Rossi got out of the passenger side of one, waiving Hotchner over to him.
“You look like hell. We got him. Get yourself together, Aaron. We got him.”
Hotchner gave him a nod as he walked past him to another car.
“And shave,” Rossi yelled after him.
-
Hotchner had just finished wiping off his face with a towel when he saw Emily’s name on his caller ID.
“Tell me he didn’t get away.”
“He’s in the wind,” Emily paused. “We have a lead bu-“
Hotchner hung up. He threw on a shirt, grabbed his vest, and left his apartment. He caught a look of himself in his mirror in his front hallway. The man he saw was the one he knew he needed to be. Focused. Disciplined. Methodical, so Y/N could survive this. She deserved his best.
Rolling up to the command center he got out of the car and crossed to where the team was standing.
“That’s the unit chief we know,” Rossi clasped his hand on his shoulder. “You ready?”
“I have to be.” Hotchner crossed his arms, looking at the SWAT team leader. “Explain yourself.”
Tumblr media
“I know we fucked up, you don’t need to remind me. He had three men posing as guards. They released him once we gave them temporary custody of him while we changed over our men.”
“Reid, review the tapes. Emily and Rossi, get Garcia to review all traffic cameras in the area and get a description from the agents. Morgan…you’re with me.”
Morgan followed him as he walked towards the SUV. “You need to focus.”
“You think I don’t know that?” Hotchner spun on his heels. “You think I don’t know that every moment I was held up getting here, he was holding her?”
Hey, you were overseas. He knew that. That’s why he timed it like this. You know that. He wants you hurting. He’s done that. Now make him pay for it.”
“You drive.” Hotchner tossed Morgan the keys.
-
“Garcia,” Emily walked into her office. “Please tell me we have something. We’ve been out all night. We need something so Hotch can calm down for even a minute.”
“I’m trying I swear. There’s just…nothing. They were good. I’m looking at it in every possible angle.”
Emily’s phone rang. “JJ please have news.”
“We have a plan.”
Hotchner tightened his tie, pulled on his blazer, and walked out of his office.
“You sure about this?” Morgan gave him a long look. “You think this will work?”
“He wants to show us what he can do. He wants to push through every boundary possible. What better than the defenses of the FBI headquarters?”
Rossi walked over. “So business as semi-usual. Go to the conference room. Pull up the case. Work it, or appear to work it, like we need a new angle. And Aaron, you’re with me.”
The team moved to the conference room as Rossi and Hotchner headed to his office. Halfway up the stairs the doors to the unit opened.
“Hotchner! You forget I got your bitch? Or do you not care?” Everyone’s eyes took in the sight of him holding you against his body, gun to your head.
Tumblr media
Hotchner drew his weapon and moved around the desks. “Let her go.”
“No. You don’t get to order everyone around. Especially me.”
“You’re going to lose.”
“Nah, you are. She means nothing to me, why should I hesitate.”
“Aaron, please.” You locked eyes with him. “I know I’ve let you down, I’ve let you down in so many ways. Just let me go, let me fall out of your life.”
“See,” the unsub sneered. “She wants out. Right?” He pushed the muzzle deeper into your head. “She wants you to drop her.”
“No.” Hotchner paused. “She wants me to drop you….Y/N now!”
You let your body go limp as you slipped out of his grasp. As you fell to the floor Hotchner unloaded his clip into the unsub.
As soon as you heard his body drop, and the gunshots stopped, you looked up.
“I knew you’d understand.”
Hotchner ran over to you, dropping to his knees as he pulled you into his grasp.
“I’ll always understand. I will never stop looking for you. I will always save you.”
“You won’t let me go?” You whispered, hugging him as tightly as possible.
“Never gonna happen, Y/N. I’m never letting you go.”

the night we met, part 2
a/n: mentions of gun and blood. nothing too explicit. hope you enjoy 🤍
what if haley never died that day? but what if your love for hotchner had to?
part 1
Tumblr media
i had all and then most of you, some and now none of you...
days trickled into weeks and weeks dribbled into months, hotch had momentarily stepped down as the unit chief leader and instead morgan was in charge. you were partly glad because you didn't know how much you could stand being in hotchner's presence but on the other hand, it was as if your heart willed him to appear in front of you. he was a drug and you wanted to get lost into him, intertwine your souls together as if you were one.
but haley was back and in his arms, safe and sound. why would he give you his time when his wife was there?? all he ever wanted was his family. you were never going to be haley. you could never be jack's parent. you could never be his lover
you're snapped out of your thoughts as the elevator dings, everyone tiredly making their way to grab their personal items and make their way out.
"i'm so excited to go home tonight" emily shrugs on her bag, quickly dumping her personal items into her bag.
"a date?" morgan raises an eyebrow teasingly and she rolls her eyes playfully, shaking her head.
"with my hot tub and before you ask, you're not invited" she gives him a little smirk as they playfully start bantering between themselves. you're lost in the moment, you couldn't remember the last time you had felt so carefree and happy. without a time it felt like your heart was being dragged by anchors, it seemed difficult to keep afloat lately.
"are you okay?" jj quietly asks you amongst the chattering of tonight's plan and you just simply stared into space. it was hard to give an answer and she understood, her hands patting your shoulder sympathetically.
garcia bursts in, capturing everyone's attention. her happiness was practically beaming off from her in waves, excited to share some news. but you walk over to the coffee bench to grab some water, trying to fill the hollowness in you with something other than your boss.
"you guys, may i introduce our newest bau profiler!!" penelope's voice is faint and muffled under the sounds of your thoughts but it's when you see your team giggling at you that makes you perk your eyebrows in confusion. jj waves you over and you narrow your eyes, discarding your coffee to the side.
you hear a coo of aww's filling the room, the team practically melting as you go back to your desk, coming forwards to see what all the fuss was about until you see the vision.
there, five year old jack emerges from behind his parents, giving you his biggest smile. his clothes look like your bau ones, a badge pinned on his jumper to say he was your little helper. he walks towards you, holding some flowers in his hands.
"oh my god, jack...." you chuckle softly, bending down to meet his level. you look at his sweet face and there you see aaron in him, it makes you want to cry at how precious his son was. how beautiful the whole family was.
"thank you for saving my mom, miss y/n" he whispers, his big beautiful eyes glancing up at you.
"thank you for helping work the case jack" you smile softly, gently giving him a high five. he leans forwards planting the tiniest of kisses upon your cheek. then he gives you a huge grin, running off to proudly show his outfit to the others.
you stand, giving him a smile as you grab your bag. hotch was talking to the rest but when he sees you're free, he starts to approach you. immediately as if on autopilot you walk straight to your office. hoping he doesn't follow. hoping he would leave you be.
but your boss was never one to follow instructions
"y/n, how have you been?" he smiles, his dimpled cheeks illuminating underneath the spotlights. he walks forwards but your back is turned to him, seeing him now felt entirely too soon. you thought you were ready but him being here stirrs some emotions you thought had died the night you saved his wife. oh, how wrong you were.
"good, i'm good. thanks" you fidget with the files, hoping he picks up on your discomfort. you drop some papers accidentally which require you to turn around so you grit your teeth and turn, still not making eye contact. hoping someone would call you or him to get out of this beyond awkward situation. but he simply eyes you, his smile disappearing a little. he edges closer and toys with his fingers, his brows raised in thought.
"well... i just wanted to thank you for that night. i can't even begin to describe my appreciation and i never had the chance to talk to you" he tries to smile but you nod, busying yourself with the files in your hands.
"no worries, you would have done the same for me" you smile though every second being in his presence is enough to make you tremble and shake. every second here was enough to make you break and you wouldn't do that. you couldn't break haley and him up after foyet. he deserved to be happy with or without you.
"yes..." he drifts off, unable to shake the feeling that you were avoiding him. had he done something to you? why were you acting like he was contagious with some disease?
"is everything alright?" he doesn't register he's even said the words until you finally make eye contact, your brows furrowed in confusion.
"yes, why?" you reply back a little defensively which adds on to his suspicions, and he's aware something is bothering you now, more specifically he must've done something to make you act like this.
"what's the matter, l/n?" he asks sternly, his brows furrowing deep as you try to side step him. there it is, he's the ssa chief unit hotchner speaking to his colleague demanding an answer.
he doesn't let up and you could feel yourself beginning to break under his gaze. everything that could've been, everything that you so desperately wanted to happen swirling in your eyes. you want to hold him tight and never let go, cry in his embrace and just kiss him until his name is burned into your skin.
only how could you feel like this when his wife and son were but a few feet away, you could hear them now laughing away. how could you be so cruel to do that to jack? he finally had both of his parents.
"n-nothing" you reply hopelessly, it was as though you were under water. your lungs begging for air that never reached for them, your head screaming at you to leave right now. before something happens you'll regret forever.
but he tilts your chin upwards, forcing you to look into his eyes. your breathing was laboured, quivering underneath his powerful gaze. you're not sure which emotion is more dominant, they all burn so bright in his eyes.
i love you, i love you, i love you-
your feet are glued to the floor and you don't let yourself think of the rationality before you do the next part, breaking every rule you had ever written as you both crash into each other.
you don't know who made the first move, all you knew was that his lips were on yours. they were soft, softer than you could've imagined them to be. his tongue swipes against your bottom lip, asking for permission and you relinquish all your control to him.
he holds your head between his warm palms and you pull him closer, needing his touch all over you. his hands trailed delicately across the curves of your body, following the arch of your spine. a burning desire awoke deep in your stomach, arching into him and he tightens his grip around.
"where's dad??" a voice cuts you both off and you jump in shock, heart sinking all the way to your stomach as you realise what you've done.
"i...." he breaks off, taking several steps back. his hands ghost his lips and he looks at you with such an intensity it makes you shake under his gaze. he wants to say something, anything but he only just looks at you.
you were the same, taking a couple steps back until your thighs hit the desk. all of it was hazy, a dream, a play. you try to grasp the concept of what you had done and the shame burns your skin, threatening to spill down your cheeks.
"i-i gotta..." you don't even finish your words, pushing past him. hearing your name being called but unable to turn away, going wherever your legs take you. you managed to duck the rest of the team who were absorbed into the gossip of the office, thankfully. hot tears leave your eyes, trying to calm your racing heart but it feels like you're slipping further and further away from reality.
aaron turns around, his hands clenched around the edge of the desk. pictures of haley, jack and you cloud his mind. how could things have gone so complicated? the kiss it all felt so right, like the piece of the puzzle he was trying to find for years. only now, he feared that your relationship was damaged beyond repair. that this time there wouldn't be a second chance.
he curses, his fists slamming against the desk. all he could think about you, all he needed was you. you were the thing that haunted him when he awoke, before he slept and every second in between. he couldn't let you go like this so he turns and jogs towards the exit, you had to hear the truth.
you duck into the safe sanctuary of your car, bringing your knees to chest. this had all gone so wrong, so fast. you missed him earlier on, missed the simplicity of it all. but now it had all plummeted deep in the ground, unable to be fixed together again. it feels impossible to control your heart rate and your breathing, vision contantly blurry with the tears that won't stop tracking down your cheeks.
in the midst of your heartbreak however, you don't realise that you're no longer alone in your car. before you had time to react, the cold barrel of a gun presses against your temple and your blood runs cold, hands squeezed tightly around the wheel.
words failed you, your scream dies on your lips. hope thuds in your blood, that someone comes out and notices, hoping that he would run after you and gets this attacker off of you.
he had to, he wouldn't leave you alone. he would've come after so where is he?? but the doors remain empty and you feel your heart breaking slowly in your chest.
the voice cuts you off, delivering a hard punch with the back of the gun directly to your temple. you hiss in pain, a wave of nausea and dizziness crashing over you. spots clouded your vision and your right eye was beginning to be covered with a thick warm fluid. it felt hard to see, pouring far too quickly and for a second you panic. but it drops to your lap and you see what it truly was. blood
you inhale sharply gritting your mouth, refusing to say a word. the chill of the metal rests against your head once more, hearing the click of the revolver in place
"drive, now" the voice commanded and you inhale a shaky breath hoping hotch would run out. praying he would come to your rescue. but you realise that life doesn't always go to plan like how you desperately wished it would.
so you follow the order of the foreign man, shaking as you leave the building. far, far away from the safety of your team and hotch.
take me back to the night we met...
