Her surprise at the mention of another child is quite apparent for a moment – surely, no matter how long a time passed out here, the Marshal would have known of such a thing when he wrote his first letter to her... who does your muse hate? It's difficult for Eve to hate anyone, despite everything that had happened to them they still can't put the blame on anyone or anything. Yes, they have a distain for Adam - but that's not something they can control. They have no control over that. They haven't had control over that for a while. However, if they had to choose, it would be depend on the verse. Main Verse - it's point blank Eden (Eden is both a place and person in my canon). However, for the Hazbin!Verse - it's themselves.

how long can your muse hold a grudge? For as long as the person exists, Eve will hold onto that grudge even upon their last moments of life - in the afterlife - Eve wouldn't let it go.

what is the worst illness your muse has ever had? Eve can't get sick, so I'll shift this over to the world injury they've gotten. Surprisingly, losing their wings isn't the worse thing that has happened to them. After their fall, unlike the others, Eve was trapped on earth instead of being cursed to hell. They still don't know why, but who can question God's plan? Regardless, they were left to wonder the earth until one faithful day they encountered a kind man who decided to give them a roof over their head and food to eat until they could get back on their feet. Eve... to this day wished that they kept on walking - those next 10 years was worse than the fall. Worse than having their flesh burned as they came crashing down, worse than the mangled form they were left with after everything. They would rather fall AGAIN then go through the torture that man put them through. Up until then, Eve had never taken a life - the scent of blood still makes them freak out to this day.

what might others consider your muse’s worst failing to be? Being too trusting. Too kind. Too open-hearted. A pushover.

how does your muse handle grief? Rage, Anger. Action. He doesn't give himself time to mourn, he doesn't process any of it. Instead, he focuses his attention on the target that caused that pain. Even if said thing is unreachable, he doesn't care. He rather lash out that cry. Crying means weakness, and being weak gets you killed.

how does your muse handle loneliness?  He doesn't. He does his best to surround himself with people - strangers or not - it doesn't matter. If he is alone, his mind starts to wondering and he would rather not wonder down paths in his head that would lead down a route he rather forget.

what would your muse consider their worst failing? He can't process emotions correctly, which becomes an issues because he can't read people or understand what they are feeling. He doesn't know what to do when someone is upset, he doesn't know what to do when someone is crying. He doesn't get it when someone is joking around unless it blatant. He can fake it, but that doesn't always work.

what is something your muse wants to tell others, but is too afraid to?  He knew what Lilith and Lucifer were planning. This applies for both main and hazbin!verse - he always knew, he knew for a while. He just didn't think they would've been stupid enough to actually do it. He regrets not saying anything sooner, maybe all of this could've been avoid. Or made it worse.

Ok so first of all i love reading your guys' tags always and forever, second of all @chocottang HIII CHOCOO (please do tell me if tagging annoys you!) You turned my braincell on, you asked such a simple and normal question and now you are gonna get lore'd about spring im so sorry- ok ok so answer here and then i start ranting about all the things ive done to this poor man if anyones interested:

Basically, as you MAY have noticed, the guy has a lot of burn scars (shocking), that's because when he was little his house burnt down and his parents died and he got super fucked up, he's been in the foster system since he was like 10, no family wanted to take him in because his parents had him when they were super young and thus were disowned. So we start off strong with that, and it gets worse!

I wanted to make spring a little more unhinged because wowzers the sprintrap animatronic is evil, however his chill attitude captivated me, so i decided to make the unhinged him be his younger self, children are cruel adults are scary people in the foster system get treated as "a way to give people who cant have bio kids families" or "charity cases" instead of normal children with a lot of unnadressed issues who deserve a change to grow up with a semblance of normalcy. He was alone and scared and angry at life and thus tended to get into a lot of fights and to stealing stuff and such. Problem kid status + visibly scarred led him to never really finding a permanent home, not that he wanted one, because most of the adults in his life scared him and also wanted him to have a "new" life, AKA forget his parents and accept these new strangers as parents, horrible!

This little kid who is very scared and alone and wishes for nothing more than his parents calming him down again meets 2 even smaller kids and just, projects onto them. He started coping with all the stuff in his head through taking care of children and pretending it was also him who was being taken care of so softly and tenderly, the children being meg and fox. He just starts taking care of them and subconciously growing up really fast to get them the support and whatever they need and then out of literally nowhere hes 18. He's like "oh crap wth" Gets send off to the real world having BARELY graduated from highschool and with some money, he cannot bear the thought of losing any more people and just looks into becoming the other 2's legal guardian and gets them out of the system to live with him in the worlds cheapest house he could find

So what I mean is that he hyperfocused on being a caretaker and getting money and growing up and getting ten thousand things that the thought of romance was not even anywhere near his head, having FRIENDS was nowhere near his head. He had to find a job he had to enroll the other 2 into school he had to find another job he had to make sure their house didn't fall apart by the seams. Also fun fact, the more he grew up the more he realized he is a literal carbon copy of his dad, but visibly scarred! have fun looking in the mirror buddy

In his head, he does not really see himself as a full grown adult even though hes 24, and his weird thought of "adults being scary" still persists even though he himself is one, he doesn't like talking to grown people and that isn't helped by how he spent most of his life with Fox and Meg, he is not used to talking to people his age or older and he was too busy to actually process that romance might be something he wanted when he was just drowning in ten other thousand things already. As he got older and fox and meg also got older and got partime jobs his burden was lessened a lot and he was allowed to CHILL a little

So those 2 idiots in the drawing are vincent and leti,,, they might look like ocs and at this point they kinda are but they ARE based on the bg characters of Camarero and "Novia", they both also have their own can of worms to unpack it's insane.

Spring met Vincent at work, new coworker new hire and then Leti just stopped by sometimes to talk to vincent and he went thought ten billion crisis because "having a crush as an adult is so embarassing i need to be paying taxes"

So TLDR he had his first crushes ever at 24 because at that age he was actually allowed to chill a little and his brain finally had the room to process that romance was in fact, real. He also had to go through the "i like men???????? Im poly??¿¿" thoughts at 24, he shoulda've been at the club/ref

here, unfortunately, it's Not an alignment of "enthusiastic nicheposting" and "my being someone who's ever actually seen the christmas extravaganza" lol....but somewhat extensive digging for posts about it does end up yielding some patterns / more of a sense of some things. but by no means do i even get the idea i know about like, the majority of the show, and all i know is secondhand and with plenty of just like, my inferences / how i understand/piece things together

i think the most Direct Commentary from people in the know is that, no new info here really, the precise phrasing "the old-timey barkeep" is used often enough across various sources that i think he Must be somehow introduced/described using those words in the show itself lol. and then there was the surprise moment in a relatively recent interview w/will roland where it's like, ooh getting more information about also elusively lore'd character jimmy armstrong? then on the edge of my seat about his saying his Interpretation involved building on a prior role of his, and absolutely not expecting him saying it was mister macabee, but delighted by it lol. and his describing mister macabee as sort of the spirit guide of the christmas show is maybe the one specific description of mister macabee which is from outside the show that i know of. certainly illuminating as a kind of reference point for all his material, i think

like, i know that the Plot in the christmas extravaganza is one where like, the whole event Exists as a show within its own show, with joe iconis as a character, and the audience, and then lots of other entirely constructed characters but also actors/performers sometimes showing up as Themselves(tm) in an at all humorously fictionalized kind of way, same as joe....so, i think mister macabee is Ostensibly a feature of [wherever the show is being held], like, he's "really" keeping a bar out here, supposedly the same as joe is really putting on this show and the audience is really attending it. and then i imagine he Just So Happens (Or Does He??? what if it's a magical christmas alignment. re: his being a Guide who's somewhat Outside the rest of what's happening, but intervening with a purpose) to keep helping the show along lol.

definitely know he does get involved with the show at various points, and seems to be one of the roles who is Always Around, off to the side or wandering around as the cast will do, or at least around often enough that the actor doesn't play multiple roles in any given show where they're mister macabee. like, he famously takes over the "here comes santa claus (super sexy edition)" sequence, will always be summoned by mister chestnut into his titular christmas medley, despite mister macabee not even knowing the lyrics (he does), being involved in the hard candy christmas sequence as well....with an unshakeable earnestness & self-assurance that he passes along to others and makes it so that, even only knowing so much about the role, i would pull his picture out of my wallet like "mister macabee what should i do" in any given situation. guiding continues

(also, it does Not clarify things, but that there's also this like, alternate? copy? evil (probably not)? mister macabee role played by some other actor, seems to be a pretty minor part though.)

so, what i know about mister macabee's role is: a bartender at whatever establishment is hosting the xmas show, a prominent part that's around too consistently for the actor to play other parts, sure seems to actively be always Helping the xmas show proceed via various manners of participation in it, a funny little christmas extravaganza friend who knows what he's all about.

Okay so take this with a grain of salt (someone more lore'd up will probably correct a couple things at some point) but

1. it appears to be that death in the Neath is instant Neathy revival, barring extreme cases that warrant permanent death (the Good Stuff poisons, being mangled so badly you can't be put back together again, anything you do to people on the Black Ribbon stories, etc)

2. the place you DIE, not the place you're INJURED, seems to be the important bit. If you die in the Neath, you're playing by the Neath's rules

3. you don't respawn! Not really, anyway. You pop back up in your same original body, which is part of what makes Tomb Colonists. Your body will accumulate all the injuries you've had, there's no reset or clean slate in a respawn. While in the Slow Boat, you can get cards that lay this out more explicitly, specifically having you think about where you left your body and what is happening to it in your consciousness's absence from it (iirc you are specifically worried about Urchins picking your pockets). Sidebar snippets also mention that if you die, someone will eventually come along and patch you up so you can sort of wake back up, and in a card in Watchmaker's (only available with a certain Airs of London value, and one of my very favorite little cards because of all the implications it has) you can volunteer to be autopsied for a class of medical students, and if you succeed on the showboating option, you can talk them through your past injuries

question...what are the logistics of death/revival for newcomers to the neath??

like. is there a set amount of time you need to be there before death isn't permanent? could you just fall through a hole in the neath roof and get revived somewhere in London bc you technically died IN the neath

does the cause of death have to happen in the neath?? if you get stabbed on the surface but bleed out in the neath, does that count

do you need to Live in the neath to get revived?? (like minecraft. you gotta put down a spawn point bed first) if you don't then where do you respawn???

what happens to the original body also. does it disappear or is it just there forever
