A Question studel asks during the gemblooded era , is how did the cluster have enough knowledge to rebuild earth??

Thie thing bout the cluster is many intresting things happened when it formed ..

For one not everything was destroyed, and for another, not even the cluster knew the full extent of their reset ability.

The price for the reset ability was simple- it took some humans and gems from other failed or ruined universes and placed them into this whole new one , created new humans and gems as well -and even took key members of these universes and moved them ... along with other effects.

In essence , recycling the old to make something new .

Strudel , the diamonds and even some humans are trying to learn and preserve their old world lore and figure out new discoveries about gems humans and the cluster , even up to gemerations ..

When the cluster formed , quite a few gems formed from the cluster itself- giving them divine status and important roles in human society.

Finding out the universe they were in was a deviation to the original world and storyline also was a big help- however they wonder how many storyline deviations are in this universe , as only two are known- "stamos", a tweak of the og world , and "lon-lon and clarity"- a completely unique world .

Both have the rarity of being a immortal hybrid , which leads strudel to think its a effect of the cluster moving their home base (immortal hybrids were originally possible as a unusual gene mutation found in some gems or humans)

🌟 chaos trio - steven universe au concepts! 💎

some doodles i made in ms paint! i haven't figured out a specific storyline for these three but what i got so far is that moonstone and sunstone work for the homeworld. they're practically inseperable with sunstone often protecting moonstone from gems that think he's too weak. at some point the two are sent to check out earth and while sunstone is away for a bit moonstone is found and taken by howlite who reckognizes him as being from homeworld. some arguing and hijinks ensue but eventually howlite comes to realize that moonstone isn't some upper crust murderer and moonstone comes to realize that The Homeworld is Bad Actually. all the while sunstone is terrified out of his mind trying to find moonstone. by the time he finally spots his twin he sees moonstone being friendly with some rebels, maybe even hears him say something about staying on earth and via Angsty Misunderstandings he thinks that moonstone is sick of him and is staying on earth and ditching him. in reality, moonstone had wanted to ask sunstone to join the rebels with him but by the time he sees sunstone again his twin had just gotten on the ship back to homeworld and moonstone doesn't have enough time to explain what's happening before the ship leaves with him. (poor boys, how long until someone makes a 'stan and ford are happy and nothing bad happens to them to ruin it' au kekekeke?)

also i didn't write it down but sunstone's weapon would probably some sort of knuckle dusters or gloves like the ones garnet has? meanwhile, ford is more of a technician like peridot and probably won't have a weapon.

fucking around with my Steven Universe AU Gems and this pearl had me in a grip with her design possibilities - I seriously fucked her up her previous design & it haunted me, and with her diamond getting fully redesigned 2 times it didn't really help in keeping the right vibe. being the oldest surviving pearl among the diamonds, she has seen an era of repression and sorrow among the diamonds - caught in the crossfire of her diamond's tears. With the forced responsibility of Indigo's court during her depressive episodes, and the countless replacements of Red's pearl, she was left tainted with despair. To forget the endless days of anxiety and boredom, she took up her time with Indigo's reserve of her rare clouds of joy - her worries and imperfections washed away in euphoria. Very little of Indigo's tasks are accomplished by her anymore, most of it gets transferred to the other courts.

OKAY SO I GOT LIKE A LOT OF GEM OCS HERE SO I MIGHT RAMBLE

BUT THE MAIN ONES I LOVE AND HAVE THE MOST LORE FOR ARE: LaLi (Lapis Lazuli, she/her), Pearl (he/him), and Bear (Pink Beryl, they/he) !

Together, they are the Flower Gems—sworn protectors of preserving the Earth's beauty, flora, and fauna.

Putting this under a read more bc i typed a lot <:3c

Starting with my dear LaLi, she was the first gem oc (used to be gemsona) i made back in 2014 !! Here's her most up-to-date visual vs her first one owo

Lapis Lazuli's are my fav gemstones (thanks hamtaro) and i made her before SU Lapis was announced/revealed. LaLi is a friendly gem who loves sparring, human culture, photography, playing the piano, and meeting new beings. She can manipulate both water and sand, but she mainly prefers fighting with her Khopesh sword weapon. She taught herself how to fight by watching some soldier gems during her terraforming days.

She grew a bond with Pearl when she was assigned to aid his superior, Petalite, and wanted to get to know him more. During the time of the rebellion, Petalite abandoned Pearl when their ship was attacked, causing LaLi to whisk Pearl away to Earth away from the danger. There, she and Pearl began to grow closer and find themselves in their new world. They even had their first fusion (Prehnite) on Earth !

She started out pretty silent and observant, but she soon blossomed into an outgoing type who wants to fight for her friends (and fight in general, she loves to fight). She's still very much observant tho, making sure their world is free from dangers and her buddies are doing okay, becoming the de facto leader of the Flower Gems.

Next up, we have my second gem oc (also used to be gemsona) Pearl ! I created Pearl before there were any lore or information that there were other Pearls as well as Pearl being my birthstone and another favorite gemstone of mine :3

I haven't made a new visual for him, but here's his sort of up-to-date visual vs his first one

At first, Pearl's lore was that he was a Homeworld Gem that had a past with LaLi and came down to Earth to retrieve her. He was sort of an antagonist to her. Now, as explained above, he was saved by LaLi and lived life with her on Earth to protect it's life. He was a self-proclaimed Fire Flower Knight.

Pearl is a somewhat snooty and arrogant gem who likes to keep up appearances and make sure everything is in proper check if LaLi is off doing her own thing. He can manipulate fire/heat and has a Glaive weapon. He's pretty hard to read and doesn't like to hang out with other as much as LaLi does, but he does like spending time with her, playing the violin, and sparring. Once you get to know him, he's pretty soft and kind and deathly afraid of rabbits. He's usually in charge of doing retcons and keeping maps and charts of places they've been.

Overall, Pearl is a pretty loyal gem who grew to be his own being and not allow to be controlled or shaped to fit anyone that didn't allow him to just be himself.

Lastly of the trio, we have Bear ! They also lack an updated ref, but here's their most up-to-date visual vs their first one !

Bear's lore is that they were once a scholar gem on Homeworld, tasked with other Beryls to keep track of Gem History and Culture. His rank was pretty high and respected and he played his part and didn't care much for other gems nor the rebellion. However, in some of his notes on Earth where he jotted down it's beauty, the other beryls interpreted as Bear becoming rogue and planned to have him interrogated. Around the same time, he encountered another former high ranking gem, now turned "defect" by the name of Dentritic Agate (Dendé). Long story short, Dendé attacked Bear for being to nosey in his business and the two sort of have a history of not liking each other. They did end up crossing paths on Earth later on.

Bear ended up on Earth escaping his interrogation where they knew they were going to either get shattered or bubbled forever. Because of this, they were labeled a "traitor" and had a bounty on their head. He ended up getting wrapped up in the Gem War and poofed on the battle field, however, his gem managed to get buried underground for years. Eventually, he managed to reform by tapping into his latent earth manipulation, resurfacing to a new world.

With no one to turn to, Bear isolated themselves from other beings, trusting no one, but found comfort and solace with the Earth and animals around him. They ended up taking up forms of animals he befriended, especially a family of bears he was "adopted" into. He soon encountered humans, but kept his distance. However, these humans were destroying the forest he resided in, so he took on multiple forms of animals to drive them away, soon becoming an urban legend of a Shapeshifting Forest Protector.

i know i do want to work on his backstory more, but essentially he did end up getting close to a human after saving them and the human pestering them to be friends. Bear watched was there in the human's life watching them grow and have a family until one day their village was attacked and burned to the ground. The human ultimately got caught in cross fire and subsequently died in Bear's presence. Wanting to protect the place this human cared so much about, Bear shapeshifted into a multitudes of beasts and laid waste to the pillagers, but indirectly destroyed what little the village had left.

The remnant of people, including the human's family that survived, connected that Bear was that one myth of the forest, took it as a bad omen, and tried to have him killed. He ended up fleeing and never wanted to get close to humans again. Years later, he was founded by LaLi who was so ecstatic to see another gem and wanted him to join her small gem group of two. At first, Bear was annoyed, but LaLi's continuous pestering reminded him of his late human.

Begrudgingly, he joined her and found home with LaLi and Pearl. He was left alone to his own devices and mainly either stayed in his room or tended the gardens around their base. He tolerated the two and even saw them as family, SOMEWHAT, but he doesn't show it. He does care about them in his own, indirect way, and eventually made it his goal to become stronger to keep those he holds dear safe.

Oh also, they can manipulate Earth and their weapons are Dual Tonfas nwn they love playing their flute and tending flowers

Smoky Quartz, with detailed color information for recreating him in Feral Heart or Impressive Title. He was my first intentionally transgender OC, one of several misfits associated with the Gems and Ferals story, and he discovered he was trans via the bizarre scenario that led to everyone having to shapeshift into animals for the mission.

This is the storyline.

stamos cambridge is his stage name , but his real name is meyrs stallion.

Hes the first to become a universal (a term in this story thats one step above global) celebrity, with his hit show *crystallions* (a drama, soap like show thats like the grays anatomy of this world)

Believed to be either a hybrid from the old world or from a completely different universe ( both a possibility due to tons of anomalies being studied that the cluster made .. thats a different post tho)

either way, hes a immortal hybrid, a rarity that is still being investigated..

With his crew of actors , a not quite right amethyst, pearl , and garnet , they make up the inner star symbol , a powerful entertainment corp, who wants to bring the story of gems to the world and bring together the two universes in song and dance

I was thinking they'd be Lapisidian. :> Which they'd be comprised of two gems (Obsidian being Jin in this case, and Lapis being Devil). They're not a fusion, though. Instead, they'd be a severe defect where two gems were grown in one hole, and these gems fused into one - causing both personas to exist in one body. Sometimes Lapis is in control, sometimes Obsidian is. Obsidian would, obvs, be on the side of the Crystal Gems - loving earth and humans both because his mother [figure] did, and because earth accepted him as a defect whereas homeworld didn't. Lapis isn't really on either side. Really, he has the delusional aspirations to someday shatter the diamonds and take control of the gem regime himself.

Here's the go-tos I think of when I think about this concept:

Cave pearls are a type of speleothem, basically an umbrella term for any of the weird rock-y shapes caves like to make. Stalactites, flowstone, etc- here's a whole wikipedia article on them, it has a big chart with a bunch more interesting types that I can't mention here without making this post way too long chjdhHJDSHJK

Oolites are visually similar to cave pearls, though they're not classed as a speleothem. They tend to be tiny, white/beige, spherical or ovular in shape, and are apprently called pisolite if they exceed 2mm in diameter- I don't know why exactly there's a distinction between the sizes but I assume whoever made it does! (It could be a funny concept that even though they're the same Gem, an Oolite fused with another Oolite makes a Pisolite?)

Lastly, non-nacreous pearls- the most colourful option on the list! Technically because of the lack of nacre, they're not pearls, as the chemical structure is different. However, from what I can tell, they're both secrections produced by molluscs as a defence mechanism against small invasive objects or tiny predators that get into the mollusc's mouth, and they sure look a lot like pearls. There's a huge variety of colour amongst this type of pearl, including some of my favourites: quahog pearls and scallop pearls!!

The binding theme with all of these potential Gems is that they're spherical and calcium heavy, making them pretty good 'false pearls'!

After the war ended and the Earth colony gained its independence from the Diamonds, the time finally rolled around for the Andesines to emerge from the Kindergarten they were planted in all those years ago.

R1CK didn’t want to go. He was too busy mourning D14N3 to even think about leaving the house, but his friend from the war insisted, because they would be the first gems to be come out of the ground on this planet, and they wanted to celebrate and welcome the newcomers.

Eventually, he caved and agreed to go. Mostly to get them off his back. He spent most of the party sitting on a rock on some far off corner of the Kindergarten, when an Andesine that had just emerged approach him.

She asked why he was sitting all the way over there on his own, and if he was okay. Andesine 837H didn’t look or act exactly the gem he had lost, but R1CK was reminded of her nonetheless.

That was enough to get him to tell her his whole life story. 837H listened to him talk the entire party about how he had loved and lost, and the grief he was dealing with now that the love of his life was gone.

It was therapeutic, for him at least. Enough so that he offered to let her stay with him, since most of the other new Andesines at the party had done the same.

She agreed, not fully realizing what she was signing up for. Their relationship mostly consisted of her comforting him when he was down, and him giving pretty much nothing in return.

It was supposed to be a sort of mentorship, with him teaching her the ropes of the new civilization they were creating, but he didn’t put that much effort into teaching her. 

He would leave her on Earth sometimes when her similarities with D14N3 became more painful to see than comforting.

Sometimes R1CK would remember he was supposed to be teaching this gem something, so he’d take her on adventures with him, like he would later do with M0R7Y.

Of course, these adventures were traumatic, and after losing her physical form for the first time, 837H drew a line in the sand and said that she was done dealing with all he was putting her through.

That shocked him, and so he left her on Earth for longer than he had ever done before. Long enough to make 837H believe that he was never coming back. So, in the meantime, she threw herself into a relationship with Moldavite J3RRY, one of the first gems to show interest in her that way.

One thing lead to another, and they ended up adding Fire Opal 5UMM3R and Yellow Pearl M0R7Y to their family.

Cue Apatite R1CK crashing into her life again.

Despite everything, she missed him desperately and accepted him back with open arms. She regretted everything she said back then, and was willing to do anything to get him to stay.

She all but shoved M0R7Y at him, saying that he could be his assistant, so long as he always returned him home periodically. It was mostly a bid to keep him tethered to Earth and their family, but it worked.

Often, she feels guilty for putting M0R7Y through all this, but if it means her Apatite comes back after every adventure, then she’s willing to let quite a bit slide. Anything to keep R1CK from abandoning her again.
