Regardless of if you think that the egg tree man is gaster or not, I think it is very nice how polite the guy seems to be. Like in all egg man related events we have it has been nice.
He might be happy to see you when you get the chp2 egg
and certainly is happy in the car! (you can only get this text if you got the egg in chp1)
Seeing how the tree man orphan page for the sweepstakes links directly to the Noelle egg post, I think it is pretty safe to assume they are somewhat related to one another. Just a little egg gift to have is all!
And if you do think of the egg guy and gaster as the same dude (and I guess the intro guy too lol) then the dialoge in the vessel maker intro scene saying that Noelle is âvery, very wonderfulâ matches up pretty well with the idea that she would get a âspecialâ egg gift.
Idk just think thereâs a polite guy givin people things and itâs nice
#gastertag#utdr#yeah yeah I know the intro scene is called the goner maker in the files I am acutely aware believe me#hey look the inconsistency of adding parenthesis to the narration or not#means like nothing at all but I didnât notice till rn lol.#andrew cunningham did a good job breaking down how the narrator most likely isnât anybody at all if you wanna watch that#I just wanted an excuse to talk about the egg guy. I think you can guess where my biase lays in the theory for whos his real identity lol#also the what do you think? part reminds me of the entry17 bit and my eye may twitch just a little but itâs ok Iâm normal about it#feedback is important to science guys#oh and#Deltarune#gaster#wd gaster

How would the boys react to reader being a skellie bunny?
Kinda like this.
But female and all
Decided to do the star sanses too, since you didn't specify which characters you want.
MASTERLIST
WARNING: Suggestive
BAD SANSES AND STAR SANSES X SKELETON BUNNY READER
NIGHTMARE:
He'd probably feel really conflicted, and confused lmao.
He's so into you, but wouldn't want you to know. He's not exactly the loving type...
Finds your whole persona weird... he's never seen a skeleton bunny before, and it looks... strange?
He'd just watch in complete silence as your ears just hop on your head along with your steps. He wonders how you'd feel if he pulled them... (Take it suggestively or not đ¤ˇââď¸)
He feeds you carrots. And if he could, he would keep you in a cage. Caged like an animal on loose.
He'll actually start to think you look cute, after getting used to your look.
He'll still be a little shit though. No one can change him. đ¤ˇââď¸ (But you COULD make him worse...lmao.)
KILLER:
Would find you pretty cute to be honest.
He wants to squeeze the ever living shit out of you.
His head will be filled with.... obscene thoughts, whenever you walk in the room..
He's also never seen a skeleton bunny, so he'd just ask a ton of questions.
Like, do you have powers similar to him? Do you have a similar appetite to Horror? Ooh, can you summon a gaster blaster??
So many questions.
Usually, he's not one for caring this much when it comes to new species of monsters, but he just finds you so interesting actually.
He'll 100% want to touch your ears. And you'll have to let him. There's just no other way.
DUST:
Normally, Dust would be pretty surprised, and immediately start writing your species down with excitement, but....he already knows the type of monster you are.
Shocking.
He doesn't seem fazed at all when seeing you. In fact, he already knows almost everything about your species.
He tries to connect with you through this fact. (But not gonna lie, it's a little creepy that he knows so much without you telling him....)
He tries to be respectful at all times...but you make it too hard sometimes.
He's also not spared from inpure thoughts about you.
He probably really likes the way your ears bounce with every step..
HORROR:
He's just munching on his food while silently watching the bunny tail twitch ever so slightly..
He doesn't EVER want to appear to you like he's some uncontrollable horn dog that can't keep his hands to himself. (That's Killer's job)
He probably has the best self control over ALL of them. (Yes...even Dream and Swap)
He just has a problem of drooling sometimes too much..
But Horror will actually find you pretty cool. You're a bunny AND a skeleton!! He's never seen that before.
He 100% carries you on his shoulders. He loves it!
You're so soft and fluffy, and he wants to pet you SO bad, but he'll be too scared to hurt you, to actually touch you.
Yeah, you'd have to reassure him.
DREAM:
Much like his brother, he'll also treat you like an ACTUAL bunny. (But it's more innocent)
He just doesn't know much about your species. So he'll be probably pretty confused.
Also isn't spared from inpure thoughts.
Keeps scolding himself whenever he has a...not so PG thoughts about you. He's supposed to be the guardian of positivity dammit!
Tries to actually distract himself to stop thinking like that. Even goes that far to actually try to avoid you. Surely if he doesn't see you, he won't think about you! (He's oh so wrong)
Give a small hello to him as you pass, after not seeing him the whole day, and he'll already be on his knees before you.
On the other hand, he'll find your whole species interesting.
Will also ask a ton of questions. (After he gets a lil bit over his simp phase)
INK:
FLIRT FLIRT FLIRT FLIRT
He'd be soooo flirty. He doesn't want to lose his shot.
He snickers whenever your ears bounce on top of your head, or if your tail twitches. Finds it incredibly cute.
Ironically, Ink's flirting is probably worse than Killer's. He stares at you a lot.
He'll want to touch your ears SO BAD.
It's gonna get to the point where he'll get obsessed with touching your ears.
You'll probably find many drawings scattered around. Of you. Yes, that's right. He'll draw you all the time.
Sometimes, he will jokingly feed you carrots. He'll have a blast making fun of you. (Please, I beg you, PUT HIM IN HIS PLACE)
SWAP:
Admires Horror for not giving in to his thoughts. Swap is that ONE person that is secretly a little horny.
Also likes your fluffiness. Seriously wants to cuddle up to you.
Will also carry you around.
Lmao, Error will be so dumbfounded when Swap visits him with you on his shoulders.
Occasionally asks you questions about your species.
He doesn't want to insult you somehow, so he'll probably NOT give you carrots, unless you ask for it.
He giggles whenever your tail twitches. (Don't ask him why he's staring at your ass)
He's gonna scold himself so hard for actually objectifying you like this. The guilt will probably make him actually admit to looking at you like this. (The only that was brave enough to admit to to you)
A/N: How the hell did this turn into a SIMP post? đ I apologize if this is not what you wanted, my mind just drifted off to other places while writing this.

@null-siren
Over the years, Gaster had witnessed plenty of others that bore the same name. Some he had actually engaged with. Others he simply watched, judging from a distance. Most were of the unsavory type, a few rather pleasant.
Worst, he felt, were those that dwelled fully in the VOID, those fragmented, lost SOULs that had nowhere else to go, fueled only by emptiness and a scathing desire to be whole again.
(NO MATTER THE MEANS.)
a fate he had barely escaped.
He was used to them. Dancing just out of sight; on the precipice of reality; stalking and laughing, inching onto his territory, egging a reaction. (because they must because they MUST because they must feed on the emotions of others they must fill that emptiness.)
Gaster had found it best to ignore them.
After they realized he would not engage with them, that there was no amusement to be had, they left of their own accord, to find a new victim that could perceive them, to drive some other poor SOUL to the brink of insanity.
USUALLY.
Ignore it. Ignore it. Ignore it.
And he did for a while, regardless of how his instincts screamed at him, how something brushed against the fragments of his being, how something just didn't seem quite right when his back was turned. He ignored it, with grimaces and twitches and noiseless growls directed at nothing.
NO MORE.
"What do you want?"
He did not ask, he demanded, fiery, mouth quirked into a snarl as he whirled to face nothing. But he knew better. He stretched his senses, called to the VOID, sent a message.
I know you're there don't play with me this is my world.
(because he must. because if his attempt at intimidation failed, -- WHAT THEN?)

LaughterLand - Chapter 17: Tickle Dust
(story by Mod Secret, art by Mod Secret)
Sans let out a gasp that stung his throat as he looked down to where he and his brother were headed. The gargantuan tentacles were pulling them down towards the massive hole in the ground. Nothing to see inside except pitch black. Sans felt the urge to yell out in terror, but the horrific tickle attack on his Soul left him feeling too weak to even scream.
The gigantic appendage left his arms pinned down to his sides, and his last bit of magic had vanished with the lone Gaster Blaster. There was nothing either of them could do as they were dragged down into the tunnel. Sans blinked his sockets, trying to adjust to the change in light. But more importantly, he searched around for Papyrus.
"Sans!" he heard his brother call out. "Over here! I can't get loose!"
Sans found Papyrus just off to his left, virtually in the same predicament. Coils of large black tentacles wrapped around them, rendering their limbs bound and useless. But it wasn't just around their bodies, the brothers were utterly surrounded by what looked like an ocean of slithering tentacles. They rose up around them like waves, intimidating the skeletons with their massive size and weight.
"Sans! Where are we?!" Papyrus shrieked, trying to pull himself loose.
Sans didn't know how to answer. Aside from sound in his throat causing him pain, he was in too much of a panic to really get a grip on what was happening to them. He looked around, but there was nothing but black slithering all around them. He looked up to find that daylight was still pouring in from above them. He realized that they weren't so much in a tunnel, it was more like a massive hole in the ground. But still, it was clear that they were at least a few miles underground from the surface, and the entire space at the bottom of this strange hole was taken up by this black slithering beast.
Sans pulled and struggled, but it was useless. The most wiggle-room he could get were small inching movements of his arms, as well as subtle finger twitching. Whatever this thing was supposed to be, it had a grip of steel on the frightened skeletons and refused to let them go. Sans could hear his brother grunting and straining as he pulled and thrashed his upper body around.
"Sans!!" he screamed after a desperate grunt. "What are we going to do?!"
A new sound began echoing off of the dirt walls of their new prison. Starting off low at first, but gradually building up louder and louder until it consumed the entirety of the tunnel. It was the sound of laughter. Deep, guttural laughter, that shook debris from the walls and rattled the brother's bones all at once.
Even through the all-consuming laughter, Sans could hear Papyrus draw in a terrified breath. He peered over to notice his brother's gaze turned upwards, a look of complete shock on his face as his jaw was practically touching the tentacle holding him. Sans turned to face the source of the demonic laughter, his bones turned to lead with fear.
What loomed over them, close to the entrance of the tunnel, was the creature in charge of this enormous ocean of tentacles. Its shape was blob-like, it practically moved like it was a liquid form as it continued laughing. Three enormous eyes protruded out from the top of its head, wiggling around like they were yoyos attached to strings. It was black, like the rest of its disgusting appendages, making it hard to see in the shadows of the tunnel. But what caught the brothersâ gaze the most was its gargantuan mouth that was spread open wide revealing a sharp-toothed grin.
Eventually after what felt like an eternity, the beast's laughter had silenced as it observed its prey.
"What are you going to do?"
His voice was deep and gravely, but he raised his pitch to that of a mocking tone as he imitated Papyrus. "I'll tell you what you can do for me." He narrowed all three of his eyes as his tone returned to its sinister sound. "You can start screaming ⌠because I think I've just found my next meal."
The brothers looked on in horror as several of the creature's long tentacles rose up around them. Positioning themselves and ready to strike. They trembled uncontrollably, gazing at what looked to be hundreds of them. The memory of what this awful thing had done to get them trapped down here flooded their thoughts. They were going to get tickled again, but this time by hundreds of tentacles as opposed to just two or three. With so many appendages at his command, this beast could do anything he wanted to them, and there was nothing either of them could do about it. It was too much for Papyrus.
"NOOOOOOOOOOHOHOHO!!"
He screamed at the top of his Soul, practically bursting into tears.
"NO PLEASE!!"
He frantically thrashed his upper body, trying with all of his might to pull himself free. Sans also threw his body around, wanting more than anything to get to his brother's side, to pull him out of here and somehow escape this nightmare.
"I'M BEGGING YOU!!" Papyrus continued to wail. "PLEASE!! PLEASE DON'T TICKLE US!!"
The creature's mile-wide grin suddenly dropped, all of his tentacles abruptly stopped moving after listening to Papyrus's heartfelt plea. His eyes expressed a sense of surprise, before narrowing to reveal a kind of annoyed glare.
"Oh that's just typical, isn't it?" The creature's attitude shifted as well, its sinister glee was replaced with an irritated tone.
âJust lump the guy with a thousand tentacles into the category of every other chuckle-obsession cretin here! You outsiders are so typical!â
Both brothers were utterly taken aback by his exasperated rant. Never before had they gotten this kind of reaction from any creature in this place. He seemed totally offended that they had assumed his intentions were that of all their previous adversaries.
âSoâŚ,â Sans finally spoke, momentarily forgetting how raw his throat had gotten. âYou donât want to ⌠feast on our laughter?â
Once again, he refused to outright say it. Despite getting the obvious impression that this beast wasnât interested, he dared not tempt fate by uttering the dreaded âtâ word.
âOf course I donât!â the creature practically roared. âI only did what I did up there because it was the only way to get you down here!â
It explained a lot for Sans. Especially considering the fact that two of his tentacles had been inside his shirt, and yet he didnât go for any spots that werenât immediately obvious to any run-of-the-mill Tickle Monster. He pulled again, hopeful that this meant they could be released, but the coiling appendages still held both brothers tightly. Although this monster wasnât after their laughter, it was clear he wanted something from them.
âPlease!â Papyrus cried out, struggling even harder than Sans to break free. âPlease, weâve been through enough today! If you donât want our laughter, what DO you want?!â
The sharp-toothed grin spread across the creatureâs face again. The skeletons could see every single fang and canine on full display as his lips parted in the most sinister way. The look of fiendish glee returned to his eyes, causing both brothers to shiver.
âWell, thatâs easy.â The beastâs low gravelly tone practically shook the dirt walls a second time. âI donât feed on the soft, saccharine, sweet laughter of outsidersâŚ.â
As he described the taste, his pitch heightened to a sense of mockery once again. While the brothers were aware that they should have been relieved to come across another creature who wasnât interested in tickling the life out of them, it did little to silence the anxiety growing in their Souls from wondering what this dark monster was about to do to them.
âThe thing that whets my appetite the most ⌠is the delectable taste of FEAR.â
He drew the last word out with such a low, almost seductive tone. It was as if the very sound of the word made a delicious impact within his large mouth, and he savored it as he spoke.
The skeletons were utterly dumbfounded. All this time, this monster with gargantuan tentacles that could not only fill an ocean, but would be top-notch tickling weapons ⌠was feeding off of their fear of him. The complex weirdness of this worldâs logic â or lack thereof â had Sans practically overstimulated. He wasnât sure how many more unpleasant surprises he could handle.
âWhat ⌠IS IT WITH YOU PEOPLE?!â
Sans yelled through the soreness in his throat. His tone came out weaker and scratchier than he had anticipated, but he couldnât have cared less.
âYou canât just feed on an emotion! Or on a physical reaction! This is insanity!â Sansâs voice slowly grew stronger as he was finally able to vent his feelings of frustration.
The creatureâs grin dropped again. At first he looked down on Sans in surprise, but as the older skeleton continued with his rant, the shock drained away to an expression of indifference.
"I know this is some kind of stupid 'Wonderland' nonsensical kind of thing, but COME ON!!"
Sans continued ranting, he didn't care anymore. All of his frustration, confusion, and irritation had bubbled to the point of overflowing and he could not stop himself.
"Do you bizarre rejects from hell just grab anyone out of anywhere to eat other things too?! Wonderment? Hiccups? Flatuleâ?!"
The creature opened its mouth to let out an earth-shattering roar, completely cutting off Sans's mad ravings. It violently shook the very foundation of the tunnel, causing dirt and debris to come tumbling down around them. It was so loud, so sudden. The brother's could feel their ear canals buzzing as the vibrations shook them down to the core.
Papyrus let out a terrified scream, but the sound was automatically lost within the thunderous echoes of the creature's deafening roar. Once it had finally slowed down to a halt, it seemed as though the world were still trembling. Their ears rang, and Papyrus was squirming harder than ever to break free, practically on the verge of tears.
"LET US GO!!" he screamed in fear. "LET US GO!! I WANNA GO HOME!!"
The creature let out a low and menacing chuckle. He loomed over Papyrus, showing off every sharp tooth in his mouth with another disturbing grin.
âOh yes!â he practically hissed in delight. âDo keep screaming, outsider. Your terror is quite satisfying.â
Papyrus didnât continue screaming. Instead, he kept pulling against the dark coils holding him captive. He squirmed, and kicked, and thrashed. But everything, save for his upper body that was not wrapped around with slithering tentacles, was rendered completely immobile. Whimpering gasps and panicked grunts escaped as he pulled with all his might, Sans knew just listening to him that the sickening beast was loving every minute of watching his brother suffer.
âAww whatâs the matter?â the creature asked in a patronizing voice. âScary tentacle got your tongue?â He waved one of his many appendages up out of nowhere to further poke fun at Papyrusâs fear.
Papyrus let out a shrill gasp at the sight of it. He knew deep down that he should have been trying to toughen himself up in order to not feed the gargantuan being. But after everything that he and Sans had already gone through, his nerves were all but shot. He didnât have enough resilience left in him to even fake a disposition of bravery, and that thought alone left him trembling.
âOh ⌠this?â The creature waved the tentacle around teasingly. Seeing Papyrusâs abrupt reaction to it was giving him a malicious idea. âWell if that terrifies you enough, then maybe I should act like Iâm going to tickle you then.â
Three more gigantic limbs appeared from the sea of tentacles, hovering over the brothers and positioned in a way that looked like they were about to dive in for a tickle attack.
âAAGH!! NO!! NO!! PLEASE!!â
Both skeletons tensed up, but Papyrus couldnât stop himself from shrieking and struggling even harder. The beast chuckled, pulling the tentacles back down, only to have two different ones pop up on the opposite side of the frightened brothers.
âSTOP!! STOP!!â Papyrus continued wailing.
The beast repeated the same action of pulling the threatening tentacles down just to surprise them with even more in a different area. Sans could see straight through this cruel trick. This bizarre monster had zero intentions of following through on his threat of tickle torture, and was only interested in drawing out every fearful reaction he could get out of his brother.
Poor Papyrus was in such a vulnerable state, he couldnât stop himself from screaming out in terror every time the trick kept being played on him. He was still desperately afraid of being tickled to death by this horrible beast, in spite of his claims to only have a taste for fear. The younger skeleton could feel the sting of tears in his sockets as he noticed the tentacles getting closer and closer with every jump-scare.
âHey!â Sans growled up at the beast. âLeave him alone, you sick freak!â
He was hopeful that the creature could not detect how hard his Soul was thumping in his chest. But from the way he stopped to notice how he had insulted him, Sans just knew that he could tell.
âOh, donât you worry, Iâll get to you eventually,â the creature growled down at Sans, his villainous grin widening as he looked him up and down. âI know youâre just trying to put on a brave face for your pet chicken over there,â he chuckled deviously.
Sans glared daggers up at the monster. If he had even an ounce of his power back, he would have blasted this creep clear out of the hole they were trapped in. Nobody bullies his little brother and gets away with it.
âAs soon as I devour the unbridled terror out of himâŚ,â the beast threatened. âIâll find out what makes you scream, then Iâllââ
A high-pitched screech echoed from the top of the tunnel. Sans and the monster gazed up towards the entrance to see where it was coming from. Sans blinked rapidly as the sunlight stung at his sockets, but within a moment he could see what it was that had interrupted the creatureâs intimidation. Sans recognized the pastel-colored owl that had brushed against his skull with its oversized feathers from earlier, only this time, there were many more of them. A large flock has gathered at the edge of the tunnel, screeching, squawking and observing everything that was happening. The creature let out a frustrated growl.
âOhh!! Those pesky Squeal-Owls!â he griped, momentarily turning from Sans to give the intruders a menacing glare. âThink you can just barge in here and try to steal MY prey?!â His three googly eyes whipped back around to stare intensely into Sansâs face. âStick around, will ya? Iâm off to do a little âpest-controlâ.â
The upper part of his body rose up towards the tunnelâs entrance. Sans marveled at how long his body could get, even without the use of his many tentacles. As soon as the monsterâs face was out of the tunnel and out of sight, Sans could hear him shouting and cursing at the Squeal Owls as they flapped and screeched all around him. Sans quickly turned to Papyrus, who was still a whimpering, struggling mess. The younger skeleton continued to squirm around helplessly making all sorts of frightened, pathetic noises.
âPap!â Sans harshly whispered, mindful not to alert the creature.
But Papyrus almost seemed like he didnât hear him. He was too caught up in his own panic over trying to escape, that everything else around him felt like a blur.
âPapyrus! You gotta calm down!â Sans tried to instruct him.
âSans! Please, get me out of this!!â Papyrus shrieked, completely oblivious to Sansâs attempt to help him. âPlease! Please! Get us out of here!!â
The panic was starting to rub off onto Sans, as he felt his chest starting to grow tight with anxiety. He took in a deep breath and tried to steady himself. He had to figure out how to get Papyrus to calm down. He knew the more fear his brother released, the tighter the creatureâs hold on them would get. He could still hear the beast trying to scare off the swarm of owls up above them, but he knew he didnât have much time before he would come back down for his meal. He had to think of something.
Sans tried again to find a way to get himself loose. He tried feeling around every possible angle, hoping that there was possibly a weak spot he might have overlooked. If he tugged on his shoulder enough, there was a possibility to pull one arm up over the strangling coils. But one arm wasnât going to do him a lot of good, it certainly wasnât going to be enough to help console Papyrus. If only there was a way to replace their sense of fear with something else.
Suddenly he remembered ⌠the Tickle Dust! It was still hidden away in his right pocket. It was powerful stuff that he had stolen from the fairies, he remembered how ticklish it had made his cheekbones, and just how horribly it had affected Papyrus. As much as the idea caused Sans to shiver, he knew that the monster holding them captive almost seemed to have a disdain for tickling and laughter. So if the both of them were displaying the very thing he despised, maybe that would be enough for him to lose his appetite.
It was risky, not to mention unpleasant. But Sans knew it was their only chance at making it out of this in one piece. He just wished that their only saving grace didnât have to involve even more tickling, there was a cruel irony to it all.
Sans wriggled his fingers into his pocket. It was a tight squeeze, but he managed to locate the drawstring attached to the little bag. He pulled it out just by the tips of his fingers and grasped onto it tight. It was time for the trickiest part, pulling his arm out of the tightly-bound tentacle. He could hear the flapping sounds of the Squeal-Owls starting to fly away as the monster continued to shout at them, he had to work fast.
Using his shoulder, he pulled and wriggled, focusing all of his energy on his arm and working it loose. He could feel his bones being pressed firmly together and squeezing tight. With a painful grunt, he clenched his fingers around the drawstring and yanked his arm so hard, he was practically afraid that it would disconnect. But thankfully, he managed to pull it out in one piece with the little bag of glittering Tickle Dust as his prize.
He froze when he thought he saw the monsterâs body start to shift, looking as if he were about to return down the tunnel. But as he listened, he could hear him shouting obscenities to a Squeal-Owl that had tried to sneak in behind him, so thankfully there was still time.
For a moment, Sans hesitated. Practically having an out-of-body experience as he hung the drawstring from his wrist and dipped his fingers into the glittering pink powder. It was so potent and powerful, it even tickled the tips of his fingers and elicited a small snort from him. Fighting through his reluctance, he took a large pinch of the tingling dust. He then reached into his shirt collar and began gingerly sprinkling the substance all over his ribcage.
The dust worked instantaneously. His ribs sparked with sharp tingles that seemed to go off like fireworks. Before he knew it, the warm sensation had completely engulfed his ribcage. Wave after wave of ticklish sensation overwhelmed him in a matter of seconds, and he burst out laughing.
âAgh! Ahahahahaha!! Oh-Oh nohohoho!! Hahahahaha!! Oh jeeheeheeheez, itâs bahahahad!! Hahahaha!! Itâs reheheheally bahahad!! Hahaha!!â
Truthfully, Sans still had a good amount of dust left between his fingers. But the effect of the smaller amount was already more than enough for him to handle, so he let the remainder of the deadly powder fall into the sea of tentacles. Thankfully, the creature didnât seem to have a reaction to it, or even notice.
Sans was now laughing up a storm, so now it was Papyrusâs turn. His brother wasnât too far away from him, but it would be practically impossible for Sans to grab another big pinch of Dust and fling it over to hit his brother. He would need Papyrusâs help.
"Papyruhuhuhuhus!!"
Sans tried to cry out through his laughter. He immediately folded over himself, practically face-planting into the black tentacle. He felt the urge to grasp onto his ribs, as if that was going to do anything to distract him. But knowing that his only free hand was still holding the dangerous Dust still dangling from his wrist, he forced his arm to remain still.
"P-Papyrâhahahaha!! P-Pahahahap!! Ahahaha!! I-I got theâAhahahahaha!!! D-Duhuhust!!"
It was so hard for him to spit out what he needed Papyrus to do. It was only then did he realize that he should have communicated to his brother what he was planning BEFORE sprinkling himself with the Dust. Another one of Papyrus's points being made about him coming up with half-baked ideas. It didn't matter anyways, Sans looked up to see that Papyrus was still trapped in his panic attack and had not even noticed him.
"Paâhahahahaha!! Papyruhuhuhus!!" Sans practically shrieked, feeling the irritation starting to burn in his throat once again.
He suddenly felt the tentacles shift as small bits of debris crumbled down the dirt walls. Sans watched in horror as the creature began to descend back down into the tunnel. Panic surged through him, Papyrus was still in a state of terror, still completely unaware of the solution Sans held in his hand, and still vulnerable. With Sans being unable to convey his new plan using words or reason, he had to try something different â and fast!
Still laughing uncontrollably, Sans gripped onto the drawstring and flung it towards his brother. The bag smacked against Papyrus's skull with a THUD! The glittering Dust fell like a gentle rain down his neck, ribs, arms, and spine. Papyrus's panicking came to an abrupt halt once the force of the bag literally knocked him back into his senses.
"OWIE!!" he cried out in pain, sharply turning towards his older brother. "Sans!! What was that.⌠Heheheheheh!!"
He briefly faltered before slowly realizing that his bones started to tingle. His frown quickly turned up into a confused smile, laughter effortlessly beginning to pour out of him.
"WhahahahaâWhat theâNYAH!!! HAHAHAHAHA!! OHOHO NO!! HAHAHAHA!! OH NO, IT TIHIHIHICKLES!! AHAHAHAHA!!!"
It wasn't like Sans, where the Dust had been secluded to only his ribs. Sans had unintentionally dumped half of the little bag all over the entire upper half of Papyrus's body. Now the younger skeleton was panicking for a different reason. He was being mercilessly tickled by billions of tiny glimmering Dust specks, and it was getting worse with every passing second.
"PLEHEHEHEHEASE!! NYAHAHAHAHA!!! PLEHEHEASE STAHAHAHAPâAAAHAHAHA!! IT-IHIHIHITâHAHAHA!!! IT REHEHEHEHEALLY REHEHEALLYâAAAAAAAHAHAHAHA!!!"
The tears that had been building up in his sockets, finally broke free and were falling down his cheekbones like tiny orange waterfalls. Within moments, Papyrus was doubled over in laughter. So desperate for a breath that he could no longer utter a complete word, or plea for mercy. His body was so warm, it practically burned from the unending tickling sensations, and he writhed in frantic distress.
"NAAAAHAHAHAHAHA!!!! ST-STAHAHAHA...! AHAHAHAHAHA!!! PL-PLE-EEEEEHEEHEEHEEHEE!! AHAHAHA...!"
As he started to trail off into silent laughter, Sans watched as the creature's three eyes came back down the tunnel. Though it was clear that Papyrus was suffering, a part of Sans was relieved. He should have expected his plan to not turn out like he had wanted, but he was hopeful that the two of them laughing would be enough to deter the beast.  Â
As the creature adjusted himself back down at the bottom of the tunnel, a perplexed expression began to form across his face.
âWhat theâŚ?â he growled, all three eyes narrowing to glare at the laughing skeletons. âJust what, may I ask, is so funny?â He sounded far more irritated than he had been before.
âI-I-heeheeheeheeâŚ! I juhuhuhustâŚ!â
Sans tried so hard to speak through the unyielding tickles attacking his ribs. He managed a harsh swallow before looking up at the creature, a growing sense of hilarity welling up inside as he stared him down.
âW-We weheheâre juhust ⌠j-joking abohohout thoseâhahaha!! Those elahahastic r-rubber-band balls y-yohohou call eyes!! Ahahahahaha!!â
âWHAT?!â
Within a second, the monsterâs glare of irritation turned to one of absolute fury. His gravelly bellow shook the walls of the tunnel again.
Sans recognized that reaction immediately. It was the same kind of frustration that he could easily draw out of Papyrus just by cracking a few ridiculous puns. He got him, now it was time to do what he did best.
"I-I meâhahahaha!! I mean ⌠a-are yohohou a pahahart-time teacheheher?" Sans chortled, still struggling to remain upright to deliver the punchline. "C-Cuhuz you s-sure gohohot a l-lot of PUPILS!! Ahahahahahaha!!"
The creature's face twisted to one of total disdain. He looked towards Papyrus, hopeful to see the younger skeleton still trembling in fear. Instead, Papyrus was completely bent over with his face buried into the tentacle he was bound in. He was full-voice screaming with hysterical laughter, his volume only partially muffled by his position.
"That is NOT FUNNY!!" The creature roared in anger, desperately trying to gauge a terrified reaction. To his dismay, the skeletons just kept on laughing.
"O-Oh nohohoho!!" Sans giggled. "H-Hehehe's gonna gihihive us ⌠f-four-hundred LAHAHASHES!!! Aaahahahaha!!"
It was so hard to concentrate while being tickled. But thankfully, Sans's real superpower was coming up with hilarious wordplay on the spot. It was a skill that often got him in trouble with Papyrus, but one that miraculously came in handy for this type of situation.
The aggravated creature bared his sharp teeth directly over Sans as another intimidation tactic. But the older skeleton just kept laughing, even slapping his hand down on the dark coils in response to his heavy cachinnating. The creature was utterly confused, and yet he kept trying to appear scary by holding up even more tentacles and hissing.
"You don't seriously think that making stupid jokes is going to help, do you?!" the beast spat.
By this point, tears had started falling down Sans's bright blue cheeks. He blinked them away as he faced the angered creature again.
"Hahahahaha!! H-Hey!! Theâhahahaha!! Th-The c-câhahahaha!!" He almost couldn't say it. "Thehehe ⌠c-cornea the behehehetter!! Aaaaahahahahaha!!"
Sans couldn't help but let out a loud shriek of laughter. Not just from the tickling on his ribcage. His own jokes were starting to crack him up, adding to the hysteria.
"SHUT UP!!" the creature screamed, finally starting to lose his cool. "Just shut up!! You annoying bag of bones!! I can't devour you when you keep making childish jokes about my eyes!!"
"AAGH!! I'm sorryâheeheehee!!"
Sans trembled slightly, his voice was higher and a little softer, though he still giggled. The creature paused, a faint smile threatening to return. He was hopeful that his outburst had finally done enough to strike fear into the older skeleton at last.
"I'm sorry-heehee t-tohoho make a sp-spectacleâhaha ⌠out of mysehehehelf!!"
The creature's hopes were instantaneously dashed.
B-Buhuhut th-that's juhuhust how ⌠EYE ROLL!! AAAAAAAAHAHAHAHAHA!!"
Sans threw his head back letting out a raucous howl of laughter, his loose hand smacked over his eyes in an effort to catch the falling tears.
The creature shook with rage. His jagged teeth were clenched so tightly together it looked as though they would shatter. All three of his bobbing eyeballs were practically glowing with red.
Squeezing the skeletons tightly in his clutches, he unleashed a powerful roar that vibrated the world around them. It sent so much dirt tumbling into the opening of the tunnel, it almost looked to be the start of a cave-in. Before either brother knew what was happening, the creature lifted the tentacles that were holding them captive and flung them high into the air.
The brothers flew out of the tunnel opening and were launched high over the trees. They tried opening their mouths to scream, but laughter still caught in their throats as the tickling still plagued their bodies, even through all the peril. Just as quickly as they were launched up, they quickly came crashing down. The wind whipped through their bones as they free-fell down towards the ground.
Sans could see the edge of the winding river they had seen before. Thinking fast, he tried to steer his body towards the water. Faster and faster he fell, he feared he wouldn't have enough time or strength to aim for possible safety. But eventually, the vision of the blue water came zooming towards him, he held whatever breath he had leftâŚ.
SPLASH!!

if i decided that the party guest roommate return was perfectly canon compliant & decided to interpret this thing (the log) a little harder i'd decide that gaster is saying he has a Lot of adam clones or at least that he makes them all the time and thinks it's worthwhile to futz with them. but that kind of gives roommate more importance than he needs like would gaster really care that much
what do you mean roommate dissolved. i didn't think dudes could just do that
#i think that before i Translated Those Signs In The Video Myself i didn't actually have confirmation that gaster made roommate#(technically i didn't translate them i decrypted them if anything)#but i had already decided that to myself. interesting. probably some subconscious stuff i absorbed from the community#i mean the idea of gaster making roommate is like. reasonable. it's the only explanation for the guy's existence honestly#but it just makes me question what the hell was going on in adam's goner log even more because#i don't know did gaster send roommate into the [ ] for shits & giggles and then write down Elsewhere the fact that he dissolved#and then ''the comedian has the last laugh'' is an unrerelated comment on actual adam showing up in goners bracket?#there's just. a lot of parts to the scenario that don't fit cohesively in the goners log#i think this can be blamed on how a lot of the stuff involving roommate was developed on the fly so to speak without hardly any planning#but still. i want it to make sense. i'm a roommate sympathizer guys go ahead lock me up#doatk lore liveblog#hm.... you know... while roommate is the one drawn (by a guest) in the thumbnail of lr1 m2#the dialog is more in line with actual adam than the intense roommate-isms of his party guest appearance#should i interpret that adam showed up and took roommate's place for the tail end of his appearance in lr1 m2?#and then he landed in to be experimented on by gaster & ruined the experiment unexpectedly#and roommate's disintegration was just completely god damn unrelated? man#you know if i take twitch is lying to you away from roommate that gives him like 1 entire line of dialogue#since the qna-type shit isn't canon (thank god). poor sap

Merging Timelines Chapter Nineteen
Dust appeared in the subconscious, looking around for Killer, and found him sitting on the 'floor', his back to him. Dust could see his knees were pulled up to his chest, and he could hear thick, black Broken Determination splattering on his clothes and the floor of the void, coming out of his eye sockets in thick globs. Dust walked over to him, putting his hand on Killer's shoulder, and Killer flinched, jumping back and firing a Gaster Blaster at him. Dust's eye sockets widened in surprise, and he teleported out of the way.
"killer, what the hell?!" Dust asked, looking him over.
Broken Determination was pouring out of his eye sockets in thick globs, and his soul looked... mangled. It looked like it was loosely drawn by a marker or pen, in squiggles that rapidly changed, but kept the vague form of a target, though it drooped down towards the middle, like a heart. His eye sockets were empty as usual, but the Broken Determination was coming out of his eye sockets and mouth much more than Dust had ever seen. Dust looked over at the blast mark, before looking back at Killer.
"hey, it's ok. it's just me. you ok?" Dust asked him, and Killer just stared at him.Â
Dust sighed, and took a step towards him. Killer took a step back, hands shaking and his soul swirling more erratically, and a few sharp bones summoned behind himself. Dust held up his hands in a harmless manner, trying to show he wasn't going to hurt him. He had no idea what the hell was going on right now, but he knew he needed to calm Killer down.Â
"killer, it's ok. it's me, dust. your friend? your teammate? any of these ringing bells?" Dust asked, trying to get him to recognize him.Â
Killer stared at him for a moment, Broken Determination dripping down from his mouth and eye sockets, splattering and plopping down on the floor. The bones disappeared, and Dust took another step forward, and upon being met with no hostility, he took another. Killer's soul got more erratic, and Dust froze, not moving and watching his soul settle down before taking a step forward again. Dust played red light green light with Killer's soul for a few moments before being a step away from him, and Killer was watching him, hands twitching, especially his left hand, like he was trying to grab for something that wasn't there. Dust put his hand on Killer's shoulder, keeping his movements slow and deliberate, and he kept eye contact with Killer the whole time.
"it's ok. you're ok. i promise, i won't hurt you." Dust told him, and Killer didn't say anything, "you're ok, killer. i won't hurt you, i promise."
"... i need to attack something." Killer said after a moment, looking right at him.
Dust nodded a bit, hoping Killer didn't mean him, and he looked around, "ok, do you want me to make some training dummies? would that help you?"
Killer shrugged, and Dust sighed. Training dummies it is. Dust created multiple training dummies, and Killer had immediately lunged at them, slashing at them with his knife, a red slash flying straight through several of them, and cut them all clean in half. Dust made more of them, letting Killer attack them for as long as he needed to, and he created around a hundred of them, maybe more, and lunged at them himself, trying to show Killer 'I'm on your side, relax'.
Killer gave him an odd look at first, before he went back to destroying the training dummies with ease. He summoned a Gaster Blaster, blasting through a row of them, and Dust made sure to stay out of the way when he did. Killer's attacks were wild and erratic, and Dust was making sure to stay out of his way so he didn't get caught in the crossfire. After a while, Killer seemed to become less and less aggressive, and Dust tried approaching him again once Killer destroyed the last dummy.
Killer let him approach, and Dust made sure to keep his movements slow. Dust saw his soul rounding out again, becoming a rough shape of a target, and Dust took that as a good sign. Dust got closer, watching the Broken Determination slow down more and more as Dust approached. Dust was right in front of him after a minute, and slowly, loosely pulled him into a hug. Killer went completely tense, and Dust kept his arms loose in case Killer wanted to back away. He didn't, though, and he slowly hugged him back. Killer let out a shaky breath, gripping his jacket tightly, and Dust rubbed his back slowly.
"it's ok." Dust told him quietly, rubbing his back, "you're alright. just take your time. you're safe, i won't let anything hurt you."
They stayed like that for a minute, and Killer slowly pulled away, his soul stabilizing fully into it's regular form, and Killer looked away, wiping the Broken Determination off of his own face, flicking some of it onto the floor.
"you with me?" Dust asked him.
"... yeah, i... yeah, thanks..." Killer thanked him quietly.
"you're welcome." Dust replied.
Dust made a bench appear, and sat down on it, gesturing for Killer to do the same. Thankfully, he did, and Killer sat there staring at his hands for a moment.
"you doing ok?" Dust asked him, and Killer turned his head in the other direction.
"i'm fine." Killer told him.
"that's a lie and we both know it. what the hell just happened?" Dust asked him.
"memory issues?" Killer asked, and Dust could tell his teasing tone was clearly forced.
"no, no. i remember, but i'm still confused..."Â Dust said.
"that was stage three. knew it'd pop up at some point, but... i didn't expect it to happen now. you... handled that surprisingly well. no wonder you're the leader." Killer said.Â
"i thought that was just because i was the strategist?" Dust asked, and Killer went quiet, and Dust felt the need to ask an important question, "why did you react like that when i told you not to hurt them? why did you listen?"
"because you told me to." Killer said.
"that doesn't explain anything, and you know that." Dust sighed, "you... killer, the way you froze up... it was instant. why? what the hell was that?..."
Killer down at the floor, Broken Determination still dripping down from his eye sockets. He was silent for a few moments, and Dust waited patiently for him to respond.
Killer took a deep breath, before saying, "chara turned me into a living weapon. a tool. it's all i am. i'm meant to attack who i'm told. you told me to stop, so i stopped."
Dust stared at him in shock for a moment, before saying, "killer, i... you're not a weapon. you're a monster, like the rest of us. you have feelings, thoughts, a personality, and motivations. you aren't some... some tool."Â
"whatever you say..."Â Killer said.
"no!" Dust snapped, and Killer looked up at him, confused, "you're not a damn attack dog, killer!"
Killer looked away from him again, and Dust sighed.
Killer spoke again after a moment, "in my timeline, after we did several genocide routes together, chara started telling me which ones i got to kill and which ones they got to kill. they... they kept that up, and after my soul changed, it stuck."Â
Dust sighed, looking down before looking back at Killer, "look, you don't need to do that here, killer. that chara isn't here. the chara from my timeline isn't here. everything is fine."
"it doesn't matter." Killer said.
"yes it does. do what you want to, damnit." Dust glared at him.
"fine, then i want to listen to you." Killer replied.
"that's not what i meant, killer, and you know that." Dust sighed in irritation.
Killer was silent, and Dust waited for a moment to see if Killer would say anything. It took a minute or two for Dust to try talking to him again.
"killer?" Dust asked.
"what?" Killer asked.
"... why did you make me leader? not the 'you're the strategist' crap. no, the real reason." Dust said.
Killer went silent, looking away from him, and Dust put his hand on his shoulder, getting him to look back at him.
"please?" Dust requested, looking into his eye sockets.
Killer sighed, before saying, "you know how it feels to watch everyone you know get killed over and over. you were smarter than i was because you could figure things out when i couldn't. you're smart, you're tactical, you know how lv highs feel and you know how it feels to kill everyone you know... you're stronger than me, you're more stable mentally, and i... consider you a friend."Â
"killer... friends don't order their friends around, and if they do, those friends aren't obligated to follow those orders. that's not how friendships work." Dust said.
"it's how my friendship with cha-" Dust cut Killer off.
"let me stop you right there, killer. that is not a damn friendship. that is a damn toxic, disturbing, twisted act of manipulation in order to get you to do what they wanted you to. they rewired your damn mind, and i... killer, that's not a friendship." Dust told him sternly.Â
"but-" Killer started, and Dust cut him off a second time.
"no. no buts. you are a monster. not a weapon. ok? you're my friend, killer. you aren't a damn tool. don't even think about yourself as one..." Dust told him.
"fine, boss...' Killer mumbled.
"don't even-" Dust stopped as Killer smirked a little, snickering slightly. Dust sighed, before continuing, "damnit, killer, this is serious."
"yeah, yeah, i know... . . . you're still the leader of the team though. i'm still gonna listen to you." Killer said.
"... fine. as your leader, that's fine. as your friend... don't feel like you need to listen to me, ok? i don't want that. can you do that?" Dust asked him.
"ok, i can... i'm still gonna call you boss to piss you off though." Killer smirked, and Dust groaned. Killer wrapped an arm around Dust's shoulders, and said quietly, "thank you for uh... earlier. with stage three. and uh... sorry i fired a gaster blaster at you."
"it's fine."Â Dust reassured him, knowing he'd been extremely upset.
Killer was silent, before saying, "i'll try helping with chara out there. you're right, and i know them... besides, i don't want you out there dealing with them without me."
"killer, you don't have to-" Killer cut Dust off.
"yes, i do. besides, i... i need to get over this." Killer said.
"... if you're sure." Dust said, and Killer nodded, "... ok. when you're ready to head out there, we can."
"i'm ready. ... hey, uh... can you keep what i told you a secret?"
"yeah, sure." Dust nodded, and Killer smiled slightly, vanishing, and Dust followed him out.
Sans was still processing what had just happened seconds before, and Undyne spoke up, "What the hell?"
"he doesn't like chara much. they messed his head up bad in his timeline. i've seen some of it, and it's rough. sans has seen more than i have, and he can tell you it's bad." Horror said.
"yeah it's bad..." Sans agreed quietly.
"I don't blame him either, not after what I saw..." Chara said, and Sans looked over at them in surprise.
"what?" Sans asked.
Chara looked off to the side, sighing quietly, "you aren't the only one remembering things..."
Sans's jaw dropped.
"wait, what?" Horror asked.
"how?" Sans asked.
"... Right, Frisk never explained... Sans, we might want to have this conversation where Undyne can't get pissed and Papyrus can't get sad." Chara said.
"No. Right here, right now." Undyne said firmly, "I wanna know how all this is happening. Right now."
"I DO TOO." Papyrus spoke up.
Chara sighed, before saying, "Fine.. A while back, Frisk did a genocide route, and their Determination woke me from death. I told them I'd let them Reset the timeline if they gave me their soul, and they accepted. When they gave it to me, it split their mind into five fractions, and a different one took control each Reset."
"why don't you let them end the loop? why do you keep forcing resets?" Sans asked.
"Humans are dangerous, and I... I'm trying to save you. They just don't give up. Skyler finally had the right idea, but everything fell apart, and I... I panicked. I didn't want to..." Chara looked down, "I just want everyone to get along."
"then why didn't you reset with karter and iggy?" Sans asked Chara skeptically.
"Because they had enough Determination to where I couldn't hijack control from them. I wanted to, I did, especially during Karter's route..." Chara answered.
"What h-happened then?" Alphys asked.
"paps got killed, and dust killed karter, got the timeline to reload, and then saved him by taking the blow for himself. don't worry, he survived. he's got tons of hp." Sans said.
"... How did he survive if you have 1 HP?" Undyne asked him, narrowing her eye at him.
"this'll be fun..." Horror said, leaning on a machine, reaching up to his face with his right hand, the edges of his fingers going into his right eye socket, hooked on the inside.
"that's uh... complicated, undyne.." Sans said.
"Undyne, don't get angry, ok?" Chara requested.
"... Why would I be angry?" Undyne asked.
"A-Assuming the r-reason D-Dust is c-covered in... w-well, dust.... umm... he p-probably..." Alphys trailed off.
"PROBABLY WHAT?" Papyrus asked.Â
"... He didn't." Undyne turned to Sans, glaring at him.
"him and killer didn't have a choice. both were in a genocide loop. dust lasted between one to three years of it before killing everyone for lv to be able to beat the human, and killer... he lasted around two and a half decades before the chara from his world convinced him to kill everyone with them. it all went downhill from there." Sans said.
Silence. Then...
"HE WHAT?!?!" Undyne exploded in rage.
"OH MY GOD..." Papyrus muttered, looking shocked and said.
"h-holy crap..." Alphys whispered in horror.
"I told you not to get mad..." Chara muttered, and Sans looked over at them. He could see where Killer picked up the smart mouth from.
Undyne was fuming, looking like she was going to punch a hole into a wall.
She glared daggers at Sans as she asked in shocked anger, "AND YOU'RE OK WITH THIS?!"
"no, i'm not, but i also saw and experienced what they did leading up to it. neither of them wanted to. the amount of mental breakdowns i've experienced them having is insane. dust hates what he did, but he didn't have a choice. killer did it because the chara from his timelines told him it was a one time thing and then they'd stop. he refused them like two hundred times, undyne. after over two decades of watching everyone die. watching papyrus die. i understand you're angry, but you don't know what they've been through." Sans glared right back at her.
"You're defending them?! Why?! Have they done it here?! Have you?!" Undyne asked.
"U-Undyne! y-you're b-being i-irrational!" Alphys told her.
"No I'm not!" Undyne yelled back at her.
"dust has saved your sorry butt during the genocide timelines! he's saved everyone because he knows how! he only started his own genocide run because the chara in his timeline found out how to get past the evacuation bunker. otherwise he would've continued saving everyone until the brat gave up. killer tried saving everyone but wasn't as successful. they both went through hell, undyne. i know personally, i saw it. they haven't killed anyone here, and dust only killed flowey once because flowey killed the kid and brought horror here from the timeline being reloaded, and made some... remarks he shouldn't have." Sans told Undyne sternly, "i know them, undyne. you don't."
Undyne grumbled angrily, glaring at a wall.
"'sides, they're not the only ones who have done messed up crap for the 'better good', undyne. your ledger ain't clean either" Horror spoke up, and everyone looked over at him.
"What are you talking about?" Undyne asked him, "I'd never kill an innocent!"
Sans started whistling, looking off to the side.
"WHAT DO YOU MEAN, BROTHER?" Papyrus asked Horror.
"well, the undyne in my timeline... uhh... hey paps, you wanna take off that headset for a sec?" Horror asked.
"WHY?" Papyrus asked.
"you're not gonna wanna seee what i'm about to show undyne." Horror moved his right hand from his eye socket to the back of the hood.
"oh boy..." Sans muttered.
"What is it?" Chara asked.
"you didn't see it?" Sans asked them.
Chara shook their head no, "I saw Dust and Killer's timelines. I never saw Horror's... I wasn't there."
"... look away, kid." Sans advised.
"I've seen experienced some messed up stuff.... like him cutting fingers off and mutilating an arm..." Chara said.
"W-Wait what?" Alphys asked in surprise.
". . . i have three sadists in my head." Sans sighed.
"i had to convince 'em to reset somehow..." Horror muttered.
"BROTHER, I DON'T WANT TO LOOK AWAY. IF YOU ARE WOUNDED, I WOULD MUCH PREFER TO SEE IT INSTEAD OF BE IGNORANT TO AN INJURY." Papyrus said.
"it's more a scar than anything. nothing can be done for it, so you don't need to freak out. i don't want you having nightmares." Horror said.
"SANS, I STILL WANT TO SEE." Papyrus said stubbornly, "I AM THE GREAT PAPYRUS! I CAN HANDLE ANYTHING!"
Horror sighed, "paps, as your big brother, i'm telling you it's bad."
"AND AS YOUR LITTLE BROTHER, I AM TELLING YOU I'LL BE OK!" Papyrus replied.
Horror sighed, his right eye socket twitching, before sighing again. He pulled down the hood, revealing the hole in his skull, and everyone was horrified. Alphys looked like she was about to throw up, Undyne looked horrified and angry, Papyrus looked extremely worried and concerned, and Chara's jaw dropped, their eyes wide.
"W-Who... WHO DID THIS?!" Undyne asked in anger.
"you did." Horror told her bluntly, and she froze, and so did everyone else in the room but Sans.
". . . What?..." Undyne asked in shock.
"in my timeline, the kid did a neutral route, killed asgore, and left. then toriel returned, and said all humans that fell would be treated as friends. then you started a coup because you hated humans, and she went back to the ruins. then you took over, and started trying to find a way out. then the core shut down. you assigned me to fix it, and i worked on it for months. i found a way to power it, told alphys, and the drawback was she could lose her voice, and you know what she did?" Horror asked, getting angry thinking about what happened.
"horror..." Sans started, but trailed off; he knew Horror wouldn't do anything too extreme.
"... What'd she do?" Undyne asked.
"she didn't tell you! oh no, instead, she told you my eye could power the core, but you'd have to kill me for it. sure, you refused at first, but then... well... you see, no one was too stable at that point, between starvation and all that, but anyways, yeah, you listened. used a little device to steal my eye, and did this." Horror pointed at the hole in his skull, and she looked horrified, "then i... did some things i will uh... decidedly not talk about, and yeah, didn't end well. point is, sans here isn't the only one who has a variant with innocent blood on their hands."
"I.... Oh my god..." Undyne looked sick, "Sa- ... Horror, I'm... I'm sorry, man I... God... I don't even have words..."
Horror shrugged, "eh, don't worry about it. wasn't you. technically. yet. just don't blow up at sans over what those two did. i mean, i don't approve of it either, actually i'm still pissed, but... i know they didn't have other options, and i know they got more than their fair shares of karma. hell, killer's soul is... i don't even know what it is anymore, and dust feels horrible about what he did. he's trying to do everything he can to make it up to you guys even if you didn't know what he did. killer... he's a bit different, but he's not running around killing everyone. he mainly just stirs up trouble and is an annoyance."
"killed actually helps out in fights sometimes. he knows how to avoid killing, and damn is he fast..." Sans replied.
"yeah, killer's fast as hell." Horror agreed.
"I... fine. Sans, I'm sorry. I don't blame you for their actions. I... damn.." Undyne said.
"BROTHER, I... I AM SO SORRY YOU WENT THROUGH ALL OF THAT." Papyrus told Horror, frowning.
"eh, it's fine. i got payback anyways. also sans, mind eating something soon?" Horror asked.
"yeah, i can. ... what do you think dust and killer are doing? think killer's ok?" Sans asked.
Horror shrugged, "no clue. killer looked uh... not ok."
"Yeah, what was up with that black stuff anyways?" Undyne asked.
"it's broken determination." Sans explained.
"B-Broken D-Determination?!?!" Alphys asked in shock, "H-How is that p-possible?!"
"The version of me in his timeline needs to die." Chara said.
"yeah..." Sans muttered an agreement.
"M-Monster's can h-hardly e-even have D-Determination! H-How w-would he?! D-Do you have it?!" Alphys asked.
"it's uh... complicated. let's just say i'm unique. yaaaaaaaay" Sans said sarcastically.
"YOU'RE THE ONLY ONE SUFFERING IN ALL OF THIS. I... DON'T BELIEVE THAT'S A GOOD WAY TO BE UNIQUE, BROTHER..."
Sans and Horror simultaneously gave each other a look basically saying 'good thing Killer isn't here right now'.
"What was that look for?" Undyne asked.
"inside thing." Sans said.
Killer appeared on the other side of the room, sending a look at Chara, and Dust appeared next to Killer. Sans saw the large amount of Broken Determination stains, and he knew something happened in there. Luckily, though, Killer seemed to be doing better.
"you alright, buddy?" Horror asked Killer, causing the others to turn in his direction and see them.
"yeah, i'm alright." Killer said, and looked at his uncovered skull, "they know about the hole situation?"
Sans gave a questioning look to Dust, not believing that.
Horror sighed, and replied, "yes, they know. and stop with the damn puns."
Killer snickered in response, smirking.
Dust sighed, and told Sans, "he went into stage three and it was.. uh... yeah. anyways, he's fine now."
"wait, hold on, he went into stage three?!" Sans asked in shock; he'd never seen that.
"Wait, what's going on?" Undyne asked.
"killer's soul has different stages, and uh... well, we've seen one and two, but i just saw stage three." Dust answered.
"how bad was it?" Horror asked, and Killer and Dust exchanged glances.
"welll....."
"it wasn't too bad once i figured out what to do. almost got hit by a gaster blaster though." Dust said.
"ARE YOU OK?" Papyrus asked him.
"dusty's got 850 hp. he's good." Killer replied, and Dust sighed, pinching the bridge of his nose.Â
"850?!?!" Papyrus, Undyne, and Alphys exclaimed.
Dust sighed again, replying, "yup..."
"Damn... I didn't think you had that much..." Chara muttered.
"yeah, i mean it's got nothing on mine, but still." Killer shrugged.
"what even is yours?" Horror asked.Â
Killer walked over to him, grinning, and pulled up his stats, and Horror's eye sockets widened in shock, his eye shrinking.
"tada~" Killer grinned wider.
"jesus christ, killer!" Horror said.
"wait wait wait, how high is it?" Dust asked, teleporting over, and his eyelights turned red and cyan as his eye sockets widened, "how the hell?!?!"
Killer chuckled, replying, "my soul has it's advantages~ i build up lv and stats a bit quicker~"
"dude, i'm at 20, how the hell are you- nevermind, i don't even wanna know..." Dust sighed.
"wait, what is it?" Sans asked.
The three of them looked up, Horror and Dust surprised, and Killer smug.
"it's high." Horror said.
"great..." Sans sighed, "can we get back on topic, please."
"Thank you." Undyne thanked him, and turned to Dust and Killer, "So, Sans explained your timelines."
Dust looked away, pulling his hood up further, and Killer sighed, "you can't exactly do much to us, so..."
"That's not what I'm saying. What I'm saying is, be on your best damn behavior." Undyne gave Killer a firm look.
"relax, if i wanted to kill anyone, i would have, and dust won't either, he has no reason to." Killer told her.
"... Fine. Just know that if you do-" Killer cut Undyne off.
"you'll make us regret it, yeah yeah, i know. look, fish sticks, you can't hurt us without hurting lucky, and besides... pretty sure we've experienced much worse than anything you consider torture."
Undyne sighed, glaring at him.
"killer, don't antagonize her." Sans sighed, though he could see Horror hiding a smirk, "you three are awful."
"hey, i'm the tame one out of them!" Dust defended himself.
"dust, we both know when you get sleep deprived you're horrible to deal with." Sans said, and Dust went silent.
"SLEEP DEPRIVED?" Papyrus asked, "BUT YOU ALWAYS SLEEP..."
"wel-~"
"killer!"
"killer, don't!"
"killer, i swear..."
"Wait, was he gonna-" Undyne cut herself off in realization.
"GOING TO WHAT?" Papyrus asked.
Chara sighed a bit, "Nothing, Papyrus, don't worry about it..."
Sans sighed, "can we please get back on topic?" Upon receiving nods, Sans sighed in relief, "thank you. dust, killer, you two should probably get caught up on what we know so far."
"yeah, that's be helpful." Dust nodded.
"ok. so basically, the kid did a genocide route, gave their soul to chara, chara gave them the ability to reset the timeline, but when they'd handed over their soul, something went wrong and it split into five pieces, hence the five personalities. chara can take control during a pacifist route, but not during genocide, because they don't have the whole soul and the brat's too determined. chara keeps forcing resets because humans are dangerous, and they're trying to keep everyone from being hurt. oh, and they can see nightmares of what they did in your and killer's timelines, but not horror's" Sans summed up.
"well, that explains some things..."Â Killer muttered.
"yeah. chara, you need to realize i can protect everyone, ok? trust me, humans wouldn't touch a single monster soul." Dust said/
"I still don't want to take that risk, and I am truly sorry for what's happening to all of you, but... I can't allow any monsters to get hurt permanently." Chara said.
"you think they aren't getting hurt right now? i can see on their faces that they can recognize me and dust's characteristics, and undyne's got some determination. you really think she won't get memories occasionally? papyrus had a nightmare about some.... things i said in my timeline, and he was a wreck. this won't be affecting just us and lucky soon. this could affect everyone, and permanently. besides, what if someone else shows up in here? huh? someone we can't stop from killing everyone? you could be dooming this precious timeline, and for what? trying to overprotect everyone? if they're gonna get killed, it's on them. best thing you can do is teach them how to stay safe, and end this damned loop before things get worse, because it can and will, chara." Killer glared at them, "besides, after a while of genocides, you might not care about that. you might take control and do your own genocide routes, start the loop, and get addicted to the lv and exp. look and me and dust, and look at the version of you in our timelines. you're playing with fire here, and sure, i might like a good arsonist spree, i don't think you will."
"I wouldn't do that, Killer. I saw those versions of me, and I'm disgusted." Chara told him.
"you know, i used to think that same thing about you, too." Killer said, and Chara looked away, realizing his point.
"why don't we tell everyone what's going on, give them a training course on how to keep themselves safe, using magic as a last resort, and then you break the barrier?" Horror suggested.
"THAT COULD WORK, BROTHER!" Papyrus told Horror.
"I-It could..." Alphys spoke up, looking up from a desk with charts on it.
"We could make an agreement with the human governments too, couldn't we?" Undyne asked.
Dust nodded, "yeah, maybe. killer, you watched tv, how often did that crap work?"
"often enough. at least, until someone got upset and decided to try killing everyone because they disproved of it." Killer answered.
"If they tried that, couldn't they be arrested? Couldn't we put in a treaty or something for that to be a condition?" Undyne asked.
"WHY WOULD THEY FEEL THE NEED TO TAKE VIOLENT MEASURES IN THE FIRST PLACE? WHY CAN'T WE ALL GET ALONG?" Papyrus asked, and Killer's eye socket twitched in restrained annoyance, and he took a deep breath before explaining unnervingly calmly.
"because sometimes humans are jerks, papyrus. not all of them, because monsters can be jerks too, but you can't trust everyone you see."Â Killer explained, voice nearly condescending.
"THAT MAY BE SO, BUT I STILL BELIEVE THEY COULD BE CONVINCED IF WE BELIEVED IN THEM ENOUGH." Papyrus said.
Dust, Horror, and Sans gave Killer a very firm look, and Killer sighed, keeping his mouth shut and leaning against a wall, glaring at the ground with Broken Determination dripping down from his face. Chara sighed, watching after him with a guilty look on their face.Â
"What was that about?" Undyne asked.
"killer's uh... complicated." Sans sighed.Â
"DID I DO SOMETHING TO UPSET HIM?" Papyrus asked.
"not intentionally, don't worry about it." Dust reassured him.Â
"How did he upset him, though?..." Undyne asked.
Horror sighed, "it's complicated. not papyrus's fault. killer just uh... has some issues." Horror turned to Chara, "so, you gonna at least give us a shot at getting out of the loop? if it gets bad, you can reset, and we could plan it out to.... avoid the issues."
Sans knew Horror intended to just kill anyone who would start up another war, but he wasn't going to say that out loud. He'd discourage it later when everyone wasn't wearing headsets.Â
Chara looked thoughtful for a moment, before sighing, "... Ok."
Dust, Killer, and Sans all looked at Chara immediately, Sans feeling hopeful and shocked.
"really?" Sans asked.
"Yes... Killer's right. It... It's more dangerous to everyone for this to continue, and you don't deserve to live through this... I... I'll give it a try."
Sans hugged them, cyan and yellow tears forming in his eye sockets, and they froze before hugging him back, "thank you, kid. seriously, thank you..."
"You're welcome." Chara replied.
Sans pulled away after a moment, and chuckled, "well, at least that's outta the way. alphys, you've been pretty quiet over there, you find anything?"
"I-I th-think so, but... s-something d-doesn't make s-sense..." Alphys replied.
Sans walked over to her, looking at the charts she was looking at, and Dust and Horror came over to look as well.Â
There was several lines, four lines, which Sans assumed to be their timelines, all clustered together, and he could see the spots where they'd intersected. He could also see charts of time anomalies, and then something Alphys was looking at. There was the four lines, and they seemed to have holes in them, smaller lines seeming to tie three of them to the fourth one. The lines were at each of the holes, and it almost looked like something was going back and forth with them.
"that is weird..." Sans muttered, looking through the information.
Alphys brought a piece of paper over to him, containing magic readings on it, and Sans could see clear anomalies in one soul that the machines picked up, like the magic levels were at different levels at different times, and Sans had a feeling it was Dust and Killer based on the magnitude of the energy levels.Â
"... hey lucky, dust, horror, i gotta ask you two something." Killer said, looking at the charts.
"oh boy..."
"what is it?" Dust asked.
"yeah?"
"you two ever see someone? like this uh... black blob with a white head and holes in his hands, and two black eyes, a line above and under each one?" Killer asked.
"every now and then..." Horror replied.
"yeah, i saw him i think... he always looked sad. disappeared before i could get close." Dust answered.
"i... vaguely remember seeing someone like that." Sans replied.
"i saw him a few times before i... you know... he was saying 'don't go down the path he did'...." Dust's eye sockets widened, looking at Killer, who looked back at him, "he was talking about you..."
"wait, hold on, this guy's going between our timelines?" Sans asked.
"seems like it. maybe that's how we're getting brought over while chara's just getting nightmares? he's latching onto our souls?" Horror asked.
"that... explains a lot." Killer said.Â
"holy crap..." Dust muttered.Â
"wait, so this guy's using me, or.. us as a gate between our timelines?" Sans asked.
"I-It a-appears so..." Alphys said.
"that's how it started.... that's how all this crap started..." Sans sighed.Â
"I-I th-think he w-was t-trying to h-help you guys... but he e-ended up c-causing th-this..." Alphys said quietly.
"in a way, he did help. me, dust, and horror are here, aren't we?~" Killer asked.
"you... have a point there, actually..." Dust said, "he unintentionally helped us out."
"you guys, sure, but i'm stuck with you and your pasts in my head." Sans sighed.
"sounds like a you problem." Killer smirked, and Dust elbowed him in the ribs, and Killer laughed.
Horror sighed, "well, at least that's answered. now onto the next thing..."
"W-Which is?..." Alphys asked.
"getting the hell out of the underground." Dust said.
"heh, yeah. let's blow this popsicle stand."Â Killer agreed.Â

Grillstertember week 1! "Only one bed" and "I thought I lost you"
Title: Will You Stay?
Rating: General
Word count: 1809
Summary:
Grillby heard the sound of something moving, and his attention was brought to an open box. The large box sat next to the bed, its top flaps cut away. Grillby peered inside and saw two swaddled skeletons inside. One had a rounder face, while the other was more angled. They were sleeping so peacefully. The elemental watched as their chests rose and fell with each breath, fingers twitching minutely.
Aka: In which Gaster introduces Grillby to the babybones! (And there's only one bed!)

Insanity Sans is essentially a sans that was experimented on by the DR W.D Gaster of his universe, he used an artificial DT which made sans slowly lose his mind. Sans lost the ability to feel empathy and when they discovered the power of reset, they managed to acquire it before murdering every monster in brutal manners, he even pulled off the skull of his own brothers skull to show he no longers care for him and has a grin that reaches his eyes and his pupils are small with one eye always twitching. Insanity does not use bones or blasters but instead prefers hand to hand combat. here is what he looks like

I said I would write it and I did it gdi! @wr-n posted a few prompts that I reblogged here and I was dying to write it! Soooo I hope you enjoy Dust and his new Bitty friend. I didnt know which sans to make the Bitty so I kind of just went with my gut and I chose science sans? Weither or no its what they orginally thought of when Dust got a Bitty, I don't know cause I'm an anxious little bean, who was scared to ask...
With Magic sparking and his laughter getting louder, resident left in Snowden could see Dust LV was wreaking havoc on not only his mental state, but everything around him. Buildings were crumbling or caught on fire. The smell of dust and smoke filled the air and the trees also started to light. The wind blew his scarf, and he could feel his shoulders tremble with the cold and his excitement. With twitching fingers, he began to search for more.Â
Killer and Horror were off in Waterfall, he could hear them telling jokes and laughing even at the distance he was at. He could hear faint cries for help, and he wanted to join them. His feet took him away from the town, until a familiar sound of a portal came from behind. Instead of Nightmare or Error, it was Dream, his head held high with a sense of morality that Dust no longer held.
âOf course itâs you, ya goodie two shoes.â Soon Ink and Blue came out of the portal, surveying the area with sadness and pity in their eyes. It wouldnât do them any good here and now. Dust turned and they all grabbed their weapons, knowing a fight was to come. Of course, Dustâs fingers twitched in excitement and a foul grin crossed his face.
He flies forward with a bone construct in his hand and the three before him just away, Ink being the fastest to rebound and swung with his paintbrush. Swift movements between the two began to create even more destruction in the area, trees falling and one building roof began to fall apart. Even the ground under them was disrupted.Â
âStop all this chaos! Please, let us show you the good in the universe!â Dream began to try and convince Dust. He simply replied with a snap of his fingers and several Gaster-Blasters appeared.
âLetâs have some fun!â
The roar of the blasters drowns out his manic laughter and Dreams pleas to stop. Ink took the brunt of the damage, flying back several feet. Blue was lucky enough to dodge them, hammer in hand, charged at Dust. When Dust jumped back to dodge, Blueâs hammer had been quicker and connected with his ribs. It took the wind out of him and sent him flying into the nearest building.
Crashing through the wood, he landed into the counter of some building that he didnât remember seeing in his universe. He could hear water bubbling and the sound of some kind of metal clanking. What was this place, a pet shop or something? Those were usually in Hotland. He groaned as he sat up and removed himself from in the counter. He felt something heavy on his neck and took in a deep breath. The weight was gone, and he slowly blinked his eyes, seeing wood and glass covering the floor and his lap. He brushed off the small stuff and attempted to stand. He was sure he had a fractured rib or two and he mentally cursed at that blue idiot. Stumbling out of the building, a hand over his ribs, he hissed when he felt the bite of cold.Â
âTook ya long enough!â He glanced up to see Killer hanging out of a tree, his hoodie nearly falling off his body and a few scuff marks on his face. âThe big guy can only take so much! I already called Boss to get us out of here but Horror needs a break.â
âRight..â He let out a groan as he summoned some bones to separate Blue and Horror. He could feel the concern coming off of Killer when he jumped down from the tree. But that wasnât important. What was important was getting H out of danger. Which thankfully he had when he caught Blueâs attention.Â
Dust walked forward, attempting to ignore the pain in his chest, and called forward his blasters and a flurry of bones coming from the ground to try and make sure Blue was far away from Horror. But as the blasters shot, a golden barrier surrounded Blue. When his eyes met Dreamâs he saw a strong glow coming from them and it pissed him off. He ran forward and knew he needed to throw Dream off to get that barrier down and he knew exactly how to do it.
âGetting power from the joy I feel when I cause chaos, huh Dream?â He shouted and summed a bone to his hand. His eyes wide and a grin widening. âI never thought youâd be a subscriber of schadenfreude! Welcome to the damn club!â The comments were enough for the barrier to flicker, and Dust took full advantage of it. He swung his attack, and the bone sent the guardian into a tree when it collided, leaving Blue open for another attack. When he swung down, Blue had blocked with his hammer and the two began to struggle for the upper hand. Dust breathing became labored, he felt as though there was a weight on the back of his neck and his magic was slowly draining. When he finally pulled back, he heard the cry of Dream and looked to find his Boss had finally made it.
Nightmare held dream by the throat with one of his tentacles, a large grin on his face. There stood some of the most powerful beings in the universe and they were beautiful to Dust. A strength of their own caliber and an elegance all Nightmares own. Blue ran towards Nightmare and Dream and Dust felt like he could barely stand anymore. His knees hitting the cold, snowy ground, and his vision blurring. He felt large warm hand on his shoulder, knowing it was Horror, he leaned into it and reveled in the safe feeling. Horror was sturdy as he lifted Dust into his arms.
He felt Horrorâs breathing as he ran towards their escape route and could barely hear Killer and Nightmare speaking with one another. Dream must have been let go in order for them to get Dust back to the castle. His soul was aching at the weak display, but his chest was burning with pain. The last thing he heard before his vision went dark was Nightmare say, âWe need to treat Dust immediatelyâ.
When he woke up, he felt stiff. Everything hurt and his neck and chest hurt. Every move made Dust wish he were⌠well dust. He groaned as he opened his eyes. He could smell some food being made and he felt his weighted blanket on his legs, probably one of the most thoughtful gifts Killer has ever given him. He was propped up with pillows and he could feel the comfort of the castleâs aura and he knew he was safe.Â
Looking around he saw his messy room, clothing on the floor, candy wrappers and chip bags, and books littered his floor. His room was never clean, but now it was an organized mess? Piles of everything rather than everything scattered around. That must have been H. He smiled to himself until he felt a weight on his neck. He went stiff when the weight began to move. It was around his neck, inside his scarf. Had someone snuck into the castle? Into his room? His hand quickly shot into the scarf and grabbed whatever the offending thing was.
Gripped in his hand was a small skeleton. He wore a white coat and red glasses that were taped to the side of his skull. Dusts hand began to shake. It was a Bitty. And it looked like Sci. His eyes began to flare as he stared at it. How long as it been on his scarf? How long was it in his home? How long had he and his lovers possibly been in danger? The questions made his magic boils, and it began to crackle in his hand, shocking the small creature in his grasp. He wasnât happy with the little trespasser, and he was going to end him.Â
His grip tightened and he could feel it shake. The Bitties eyes squeezed shut and it let out a gasp. It was so small and weak, easy to kill, EXP or no. It shook its head and the red glasses fell, trying to struggle their way out of Dustâs hand.
âYouâre so helpless.â His voice came out scratchy and soft. But when he spoke the Bitties eyes glared up at Dust. Not only a look that had fear but bravery. Determination. It reminded Dust of his own struggle. The human. The anger he felt. The LV slowly growing in his mana lines. His grip began to loosen and the Bitty shook as it raised its glasses back to its eyes. He pressed down on the worn tape to make them to stick. When his magic began to calm down, he took a breath, burning ribs be damned.
âIâm guessing you donât have a name?â The Bitty shook its head. âCan you even speak?â The Bitties eyes scrunched and he reached towards the collar of his turtleneck sweater and showed off a long scar that crossed from one side to the other. It was a pale pink color, old as if the Bitty had it for years.
âWe both have scars then. They show that weâre survivors.â He lowered the Bitty onto his lap and rolled up his sleeve to show several deep gashes and pink faded scars, much like the Bitties. It covered their mouth as it stared at Dusts arm. âIâm sorry for scaring you⌠and almost dusting you. I was worried you were going to hurt us.â
The Bitty simply stared at Dust as it sat on his lap. It shivered and Dust placed his hand on his lap.Â
âCan I give you a name?â The Bitty nodded his head as he crawled onto Dustâs hand. âI think Iâll name you Gwah. In my AU we spoke differently than everywhere else it feels⌠thatâs the start to the word Science, which I think fits you, no?â The Bitty looked up at Dust and slowly nodded his head. âDo you prefer he/him?â The Bitty shook its head, letting out a loud huff. âAh, they/them?â It nodded, this time with a smile.
âGood. Now, Iâm still exhausted and Iâm sure Horror will be done with food soon, so letâs sleep until then.â He lifted his hand up to his scarf and the Bitty quickly scrambled into the scarf, nuzzling his cheek against Dustâs neck. It tickled a little and he felt a little cold, but that might be because he tends to run warm. But as Gwah settled so did Dust and he was more than ready for a nap, even after doing so little.

Pull to Open - Pt. 3
*ɢá´á´á´á´Ę!! Ęá´á´á´ á´ĘÉŞs á´Ęá´á´á´âŚ sá´ á´á´á´Ę!!âŚ
Cupidity watches as Gaster steps away to... compose himself. While that goes on, he decides to step to the door, tracing his hand across its surface.
This texture... dust? He inspects his fingertips but finds no residue. Yet, when he drags his hand across the door again, he knows that what he's feeling is not wood. Matter of fact, it feels like nothing. It's as if there's a fine layer of static between himself and the door.
Out of curiosity, he attempts to grab the handle.
... he... missed? He tries again. ... and again. And again...
Try as he might, he just can't grasp the door's handle, in more ways than one. Peculiar... he puts his hand back into his pocket, and he speaks aloud.
"... I don't get i t. You conjure LOCKED d o o r s ?"
Gaster groans, dragging his hands down his face before walking back in front of the door.
*IT'S NOT SUPPOSED TO BE LOCKED, OKAY? IT SHOULD'VE JUST OPENED...
"Ah-huh. Open to w h e r e , exactly...?"
*DOESN'T REALLY MATTER IF I CAN'T OPEN IT, NOW DOES IT?? RRGH... OKAY, LET ME TRY SOMETHING.
Gaster steps aside, and goes throw the motion again. He reaches out, clenches his hand, and... the door reappears in his grip!
The same, wrong, locked door. Gaster's eye twitches. He steps aside and does it again. Same result. He does this a couple more times to further exasperation, the sound of a fumbling door handle permeating the space they were in. Speaking of...
The 'rain' was doing something odd to their surroundings. The bizarre structures seemed to be... shrinking? Or maybe sinking? Their forms were less defined, becoming hidden behind a haze or a fog that had begun to settle on the 'beach.' Fading. Earlier, Cupidity described the air as stale. Now, it was less than that- they were being surrounded by absence.
As for the tide? Well, it was still rolling in, but something else had beaten it up the shoreline. A shadow which settled at the two's ankles, stretching from the horizon as far as they could see. Again, this wasn't water- but combined with the rain, it was starting to make them both feel saturated.
... and Cupidity could feel it again. Eyes, on the back of his head. He turned to look, but there was only Gaster, still fiddling with the door handle, grumbling under his breath. The man was starting to knock his head against the door in frustration. Cupidity steps to the man, though a bit hesitant.
"Maybe... if it's l o c k e d , you might have a K E Y . . . ?"
*OH RIGHT, THE KEY! THE KEY I'VE ALWAYS HAD FOR MY DOORS THAT I NEVER LOCK! I'LL JUST USE THAT KEY ON THIS DOOR, THIS VERY FAMILIAR DOOR WHICH I TOTALLY HAVE A KEY FOR!
"S-So you DON'T have a k e y ? ?"
*NO!!
*,,, I DON'T THINK SO??
*⌠ɪ á´
á´É´'á´ Ęá´á´á´á´Ęá´Ę á´á´ĄÉ´ÉŞÉ´É˘ á´É´á´âŚ?
*...
*LET ME DOUBLE-CHECK.
Gaster stoops down and starts to fish through his bag. Cupidity face-palms and shakes his head.

If it's that important, could you put the player control + lab stuff in like... in its own mini-chapter if it doesn't fit in the main chapter storyline anymore? just a suggestion since you said it feels important for leading up to the darkworld arc ;0
Yeaaaaah Maybe?? I WAS about to say that the side stories all fit the theme of being backstories. but then I remembered there's a Christmas arc that's thrown in there in the middle like it's got any business existing in that format.
I do like this idea. I just didn't have any room set up for it, and I don't think it'd be enough to warrant a full side story honestly. Like, it's really just
1-5 room explorations, maybe a puzzle?
boss fight
end cutscene (different depending on how u played the fight)
My idea was to have every chapter have some form of interactivity, with it honestly getting a lil more ambitious each time.
(chapter 1: choose if Frisk texts Toriel or not. 24-hour poll. Chapter 2: Warship board game, which was a Twitch stream. Chapter 3: a boss battle you can play. Chapter 4: ???? Chapter 5: The Whole Chapter Is a Game.)
but the problem with making an isolated experience that's intended for gameplay is that... it's isolated. I can't have it involved with the actual plot of the chapter cause player choice would drastically change the shape of the chapter and I am not, obviously, making 2 versions of the comic to account for this. So keeping it isolated is necessary. But then it's hard to justify it in a complex plot.
I mean. I guess. MAYBE it could work where the comic happens, it sets up the gaster stuff, we get the game, and boom, it's not touched again for the rest of the chapter. you're in, you do the thing, you're out.
For the sake of the Darkworld arc existing (and like, I have to make it Darkworld, cause logically how else are they going to have such a big adventure post-pacifist? AND make it have the very specific plot development I want with living symbolism characters that I adore doing) I need to do that chapter. It's like, the literal midpoint of the story that drives Chara to cut out Asriel. The plot doesn't work without it, Chara needs that character development. And, it helps justify their goat form after the fact.

"âď¸âď¸đď¸ đŁď¸âď¸âŹĽď¸â ď¸âď¸â ď¸âď¸, âšď¸âď¸âšď¸âď¸âď¸," good morning, Lily, Gaster called out with a wave, returning from the village.
Today was unique, though, as he had someone else in tow; he had never brought a stranger to their house, but, there was a first for everything.
"âď¸âď¸ đď¸âď¸âŹĽď¸â§Ťď¸â ď¸âď¸ âĄď¸âď¸âď¸ âď¸âď¸âď¸ đŁď¸âď¸âď¸âď¸ đď¸âŞď¸âď¸âď¸âď¸đ§ď¸âď¸âď¸âď¸," I want you to meet Jicho.
The 'Jicho' in question was a tall and lanky humanoid monster, covered in grey wool that puffed rather dramatically at the top of his head, with two long black ears that framed his face, and a similarly wooly tail that twitched at his backside. He seemed somewhere between irritated and upset, shifting position and glancing anywhere but at Lily and Gaster.
Gaster began to sign along with his speech.
"Jicho, this is Lily. Jicho is deaf and communicated primarily through sign language. His sister asked me to keep an eye on him."
And of course, Gaster was doing that because it was the right thing to do, not because he liked Aileen and wanted to get closer to her.
Jicho's face shifted into a sharp grimace and he signed in turn, "I'm an adult. I don't need to be watched."

Alright been a bit and collected my thoughts I want to talk about the ending of the Twitch plays DND.
First off there was a bit of a theme in the voting this time. We tied 3/4 votes. First vote we tied was All Stats Upgrade and Upgrade Health. DM upgraded both stats and health a bit.
Then we tied the Upgrade Three Allys Vote. While First Place was Ringwall/Necromancer 2nd was a tie between Moonblood and Solar Knight. Also because Ringwall was also the boss we were going to fight to prove our worth the DM told us he added a third phase to the boss fight. I also don't know if there were ramifications to tieing SK and Moonblood.
The final one we tied was Giving a charecter a gift. That was tied between the player charecter and our guide in the world/DM Insert The Sage. I also don't know the consequence to tieing this or what it really did. Like yeah The Knight got a happy ending but the DM said that was decided by us being kind.
The one we didn't tie was to learn a powerful Profane magic from Ringwall, Sacred magic from Solar Knight, or Technique from Moonblood. We chose Moonblood, hoping to learn a techquie that in a previous poll we could have learned we nicknamed Reality Marble. Instead we learned a technique we abused the hell out of Berserk Snap, which granted a bonus turn at the cost of damge, the damage increasing every time we used it.
Anyway session started off with a cool twist. The DM revealed he had borrowed an idea from the discord, that being shoving our unused stats into a different body with necromancy. This meant we were fighting the main boss weakened but with our crew and the "secret boss"/Boss needed for the true ending at full strength but without our crew (not that we would of had our crew if we didn't split ourselves into two bodies Ringwall told us it was 1v1.
First stage of the true boss was a bit of a cake walk. The Boss had a poison ability which was kind of our weakness and Moonblood self damages. But with our health increase, lucky rolls, and also a chat suggestion of Moonblood using Watercasting to pull all of the poison out of themselves and then a different chat message suggested using that poison blood to stab the boss it was easy.
The Ringwall fight was not. First of all, she has a very, very power ability to just not mechanically take wounds. Wounds happen when you hit 0 HP and remove a D6 from your dice pool. This meant unlike other fights she would not get weaker as we did damage. Also whenever she would take a wound she, rather then having to roll to heal for about half health she instead would just instantly heal to full.
Also in the first phase she had two annoying abilites. Whenever she was hit with a regular, melee attack she could counterattack. If it succeeded we would be stunned, making us loose our movement for that turn and also no actions or movement for the next. However we had multi-attacks and range so wasn't super annoying after the first time.
What was more annoying was the Quiz Time. She would ask us a question with three potential anwsers. We would have to run to the correct anwser and if we either didn't or chose wrong. We would be hit with a ton of damage. While we could move before damage she also had the ability to fuck with us. For example in a failed attempt she was going to try and trip us if we ran past her and in a nearly succesful one she threw us across the room and then placed the skeletons out of reach unless we sprinted.
However the DM with Chat's help realized "You have a fuckton of synergy" we stacked up a thing that gave us bonuses and multi-attack while zoning her and destoryed 3/4 of her health bars in a single move.
Next phase was much much less annoying. The main mechanic was three giant skulls (kind of like Gaster Blasters now that I think about it) would shoot either vertically or horizontally and do a shit ton of damge if we didn't avoid them. One of our stats had a teleport it was very easy to zone her and do the above stacking and destroy her again. She also did a fairly OP attack but she missed and it was melee so it didn't really matter
Third phase we nearly died on. Up till this point we were nearly full HP after using our OP healing item. She took us down to near death, and remember unlike Ringwall, we did take Wounds, every time she took us down to 0 we would heal and then loose a dice. Luckily exploiting our kit to do the giant combo we surived and so we got the Best Ending.
Anyway Ringwall fight and Phase one Boss ended at near the same time. Main version us and Ringwall arrived right as the boss was powering up and we fucked him over so bad. We willingly let him "absorb us" and then let our allies kill us, with each time we got a Wound the dice that was Wounded would join their sheet. It was really sweet send off for the main charecter. Each aspect of us ending up with one of our allies.
Beast of God ended up with Solar Knight which of course. They were our trusted ally from the begining and Beast of God maybe had a tiny little cursh maybe. Solar Knight would end up becoming a god.
Fool's Hope ended up with the Pioneer aka tje pirate. With the Pirate showing them the world and eventually turning a place of theives and heretics to a country who would welcome those who had nowhere else to go.
Lore went with Caster of the Profane Uraden aka our H2Bro. Lore was a scolar and H2Bro was a monk it was an obvious match. Also Lore was the last one to leave the thing they became after merging with the boss. The stat we didn't choose, the first stat. It was fitting. Also H2Bro wrote the entire adventure in a book and that's what our adventure was, him retelling his book.
Wandering Stray ended up with Whispered Moonblooded, another great match as they vibed a ton having similar personalites and Stray learning their Jump abilites from them, and like the name implies they Wandered. Moonblood wanted to complete a bucket list of wishes of fallen allies before they passed from their curse.
Blooming Heart got yoinked by The Exile. And we don't know what the hell happened to them. The Exile decided to go on a journey of self discovery after a pep talk from Bloom and Father Fateless so I guess they finally bloomed offscreen.
Father of the Fateless ended up with Ringwall. And Ringwall started going to the battlefields from The Knights past. Trying to understand where they got their power from, and maybe understand them too.
We also learned we weren't the Knight. The Knight was a solidier of a dead age that no one eanted who decided to house the voices of the dead, and when they were gone he once again lost his purpose and so floated aimlessly. However the kindness the spirts showed themselves, show The Knight. When they were given the order to Live, they gladly followed.
I fucking cried 2 different tears during this oh my god this was so good.
Oh fuckin dope
Sad that it's over but sounds like a fun ride!
