thank goodness for that extension because I was afraid I wouldn't get a chance to actually contribute.
Here we've got Alyssa and Lisa, a pair of twins embraced by the same sire. Licks of San Diego sometimes call them the Sweeper's kittens, but they object to any version of that statement. Alyssa is a black cat while Lisa is a sphinx. Transparent ver under cut:
We have entered the month of August, which means Autumn is steadfast approaching! The Gangrel are roving out to perhaps watch the leaves change, enjoy the nights as they begin to grow long, feel the spirits in the air.... whatever gets them going! Trixie - business operator/mother wolf/bodyguard of the Wolves Den strip club - is smiling with her friend Damaris - your classic adventurer scholar who may have his hands on too many ancient artifacts.
If you'd like! I'd love for everyone to try and drop their Gangrel here, let's make a new pack!! :D Like the other collaborations, I will take all submissions at the end and smush them all into one final collab piece - the deadline will be September 6th!! (A Friday!) I tried to answer how to submit here in case you were curious! (For reference, Damaris is 5'10" and Trixie in heels is 6'3"!) IF YOU WANT TO DRAW AND FEEL LIKE YOU CANNOT DRAW DO NOT LISTEN TO THAT VOICE THAT IS THE DEVIL DECEIVING YOU! Please draw your OC next to them if you want to I would cry and love to see it!
#mistakes were made with those names but i committed#rowan art#san diego by night#yeah sure guess i'll tag the twins#alyssa lightstep#lisa sharpstep#my gangrel have a funny naming convention#taking a last name based on their skills#Alyssa is Obfuscate Gangrel. Pathologic Vampire The Masquerade AU bc apparently I'm not the only person in the middle of this venn diagram of fandoms
Artemy: Tzimisce, from a long line of Kolduns, though with little knowledge of sorcery himself. More capacity for Vicissitude than Isidor (his sire, obv) had, though mostly focused on Animalism and conventional Protean.
-Rubin: Was ghouled by Isidor, with the expectation that he would one day be embraced. Hence, there's some tension between him and his 'brother' Artemy, who was embraced, especially when it appears that Artemy killed diablerized? Isidor and ruined Rubin's chances. Since Isidor's death Clara has become his regnant.
Daniil: Tremere. He's an arrogant academic who the fuck else would embrace him. I also like to think he's got connections with the Ministry back in the capitol (snakes <3), and is only very begrudgingly operating under the Powers That Be Ivory Tower. He got in touch with Simon to hopefully learn Oblivion/Necromancy in a Know Thine Enemy type way as part of his quest for a greater understanding of death/undeath.
-The Kains: Hecata Family 100%, like they literally canonically have necromancy. Simon is the lowest gen, of course, with Georgiy and Nina being his childer (though Georgiy was only embraced shortly before Simon's "final death"). Nina, as well, embraced Maria, just before her own. Victor is just a ghoul, the poor guy, because his brothers still needed someone who could walk in the sun to actually run the town. Kaspar is still human, I think.
-The Stamatins: Twin Toreadors. Though they came to WoDToG as humans, their reputation preceded them and had already caught the attention of Farkhad, their future sire. Though it's thought he sired them both, in actuality Farkhad only embraced one of them, before being staked by the other- who was then embraced by their twin. Rumor has it that the two didn't just put Farkhad to final death, but that he was diablerized by the second childe. (Though no one has proven anything, and which twin would be the diablerist is anyone's guess.) They also both knew Daniil prior to his embrace.
Clara: Antitribu Malkavian. Crawled from the grave, in true shovel-head fashion, and took on the mantle of a saint to those lurking on the fringes of the WoDToG. Her madness manifests as her 'twin,' though in this au they are truly one and the same.
-The Humbles: All ghouled by Clara, with the exception of Katerina and Aspity. (In the Humbles ending her "sacrifices" are embraces to form a sabbat pack.) Katerina was already a Caitiff, though she was embraced by the Nosferatu? Gangrel? Rat Prophet, and not dealing with it very well. Aspity is her own mysterious thing (aka I can't make up my mind about her, but she's definitely not one of Clara's ghouls).
This is all ive got so far, though if anyone else has ideas/opinions id love to hear them. Also, though this has been lurking in my head for a while, the posting of it was spurred on by @cabbagege's awesome art and chatting w my friend @dykeferatu so im gonna @ both of you
#pathologic#vtm#vampire the masquerade#daniil dankovsky#artemy burakh#clara saburova#this is all of course ignoring the fact that a town the size of WoDToG would Not be able to support nearly this many kindred#also ive decided that will be my tag for any further posts about this:#WoDToG#also also im mixing freestyle between v20/v5 lore and chd/p2 lore its my au so its whatever i want it to be

I'm obsessed with your shrek au. Can I ask for some more chrobin details from it-
(grima and rkc if its possible as well-)
i HAVE in fact answered stuff abt grima and rkc in a previous ask about this AU. (the fic referred to in that one is "if the prince is a dragon and the prince is a dragon and the princess is a dragon-" btw, which is the proto shrek au fic)
most details would come up in the fic itself but they really follow the shrek/fiona convention here. both of them loathe themselves as "monsters" but think the other one is pretty nifty so they for sure have that moment where fiona exposits her self doubts to donkey and shrek overhears it and feels bad where robin tells lissa shit and chrom hears it and feels bad
chrom in this AU is very very much a sopping wet cat of a man. he has been ALONE for three whole years with just his self doubts for company and it would have been more had owain not spooked him into leaving the swamp. this is how owain saved the timeline, by the way. by being a dumbass. peak butterfly effect.
i have INTENSE thoughts abt chrom/grima og timeline shit in this. in the og timeline, chrom never packs up n tries to leave, so he never meets lissa, so he stays in the swamp for several more years and gets progressively worse. in the meantime, robin got saved from the tower by somebody else, and did actually marry gangrel. some years later, gangrel disappeared under "mysterious circumstances" and robin ran off, eventually finding his way to the swamp.
THIS GOT LONG. the og timeline will either not come up much or only come up IF i actually pull thru all the way to shrek 2 so. here it is.
so this version of robin had basically no agency in any aspect of his life, and this chrom is desparate for literally anybody to stay by his side. they compliment each other in the worst possible way in the og timeline. robin is possessive. chrom wants to be possessed. it works. bad.
then, of course, validar has to fuck shit up. with the heart of grima out there in the world, he's gearing up to actually awaken his god. as per awakening, he drags robin back to plegia by force (chrom in tow.) i'm not certain whether to include the fire emblem in this AU, but there's really no reason for it. there's no reason to kill Emm either.
After Robin left the tower, nowi (taking the place of the dragon), also eventually left. when she was terrorizing the ylissean countryside, she met lissa, the first person to keep up with her. the two had a proper normal romance of well-adjusted dragon people. at some point, nowi convinces lissa to go back to ylisse, and emm accepts her chicken sister with open arms.
the two never find chrom. they dont know what happened to him. they can only speculate that he turned into a dragon the same way lissa did, but they never know for sure.
so, robin awakens to grima (aka The Curse) and in the kerfluffle both validar and chrom beef it. chrom is promptly resurrected as our dear rkc. lucina and morgan would be still kids at this point.
this AU's version of lucina is actually very fun for me because she did spend a good few years actually raised by grima and has a lot of his theatrics. you get to see that in chapter 3. she has an overall minor role in the fic itself but she's there and i love her.
at some point, lucina realizes that her parents are kind of fucked up, and that her dads are destroying the entire plegian peninsula, and they'll probably move on to ylisse at some point, so she heads east. she's accepted with open arms into the royal family cuz she has The Brand so they know she's chrom's kid.
she also has like. four eyes. demon horns. black wings. some scales. she is also a Dragon Creature the same way chrom and robin are in this. it explains a lot for the ylisse family.
it ends up being a dragon brawl of robin and chrom vs lissa and nowi and it is Disastrous. lots of legendary heroes trying to intervene. nobody's ever heard of dragon on dragon combat before. that's not supposed to happen.
long story short, lucina teams up with owain to hop back in time, though how to fix everything is a much more difficult question than in canon.
lucina's parents have been a total mess ever since she could remember, and owain never met them at all, so.
instead, lucina devoted herself to creating as many happily ever afters as possible (to parallel grima being the fairy godmother in this), while sending owain on fetch quests to locate her parents. she has a rough plan backed up by future knowledge and the seer powers assigned to her by the universe for her dope fucking appearance.
(god i wish i could draw her and chrom but chocobo lissa is all i can manage)
yah. so. that's the og timeline in a nutshell. the most toxic chrobin ever.
meanwhile awakening shrek timeline chrobin meet way earlier before they hit their depression arcs and manage to hash out their insecurities and fall head over heels in normal love. it all happens way earlier than both lucina and grima planned. what the fuck do you mean they're already happily married. nobody accounted for this.
my pal anakha summarized this as "the giant evil dragon got laid way before things got bad and this fixed the problem" which is. accurate.

i just realised that people might not understand a few terms in the door theory, just gonna clarify some terms hahaa
for @the-teapot-king specifically :)
Also what’s the deal with this Camarila they mention and who are all these nosferatus and tremeres and stuff? Different vampire clans right? How come they’re different if they’re all from Carmilla as the first vampire?
the entity is essentially the vatican's secret military force. they collaborated with other secret services in like, 2001, and realised "holy shit vampire exist?" before anyone else did. they're responsible for the purge of london in lore, which is why they were important to the theory. in recent nights they did disrupt the 2nd convention of prague, which, lol cammies eat shit
SPEAKING of cammies, the camarila is like, your main faction of vampires. theyre traditionally the biggest and the strongest, and definitely the most central and organised group. theyre pretty much awful, and responsible for the masquerade and enforcing it. the camarila are the reason pyotr didn't want to start a blood hunt, for instance. they like to pretend they're a lot older than they are, so the camarila mirrors medieval vampire society, but it's only been around for as long as the first inquisition. that isn't long, in vampire terms. it's lead by the inner circle, which we know nothing about, which is usually just an excuse for storytellers to flesh them out in sessions (because yes, wod/vtm is first and foremost a tabletop game). the prince we keep hearing about is the leader of the local area, and she most likely reports to someone higher up the literal food chain. diablerie is one of their biggest sins as well, lmao
when they talk about nosferatu and tremere and all that, they're referring to vampire bloodlines. the bloodline a vampire is depends on who sired them, essentially, so the most popular bloodlines are the camarila sponsored ones. this changes, though, like lasombra and banu haqim joined the camarila in like 2012 and the gangrel left in '99. the brujah left at the same time the lasombra and banu joined, but since the series takes place in 2001 none of that is really relevant. the main bloodlines in 2001 were ventrue, toreador, tremere (kevin), nosferatu (pyotr), gangrel (apeboy), malkavian, and brujah (shitbeard) if that gives you any idea about them
the first vampire is caine, like the biblical caine. he was cursed by god with vampirism and the world has been worse ever since. caines blood, or vitae, is what makes a vampire a vampire. the thickness of that blood is how removed a vampire is from caine, so when a vampire commits diablerie they make their blood more condensed like someone of a higher generation, making them more powerful. vampires become more powerful over time anyways, so vampires dont really need to be born a high generation. generations are also the number of steps removed from caine, so his children are generation 2 and the antediluvians are generation 3
speaking of antediluvians, they're the originators of each clan of vampires- think of them like more homicidal primarchs, if you watched tts. the relationship every bloodline has to its antediluvian is very very strained, because the antediluvians generally want to eat and/or inflict some horrible fate on their children
for example, the malkavian antediluvian (malkav) has literally become a network of madness inside the mind of every malkavian and intends to use them as a body to puppeteer whilst his body slumbers in jerusalem, for one example
luckly for every vampire in the world, these antediluvians are fast asleep. everyone wants to keep it that way, because when they wake up, they're going to be very hungry. and when you're at that level of power, the only way to keep that hunger sated is to eat your own kids. a lot of them. it's essentially vampire doomsday- actually, it literally is, considering that gehenna is a thing
(gehenna is prophecied vampire doomsday)
let me know if anyone has any more questions!

Good news, everyone! It's adore Hesha Ruhadze hours. 🌠
Now featuring Intense Homoerotic Eye Contact, language games with elders, murder-flirting, and succumbing to Presence so hard you gotta take breaks mid-staking attempt to simp.
All screenshots from Beckett's Jyhad Diary's "Death Has Many Faces" chapter. The tl;dr is the Necromancers stage a "family meeting." Nominally to hash out issues, but actually to kidnap Isabel Giovanni. Beckett is encouraged to be as annoying as possible, as a treat.
Image IDs under the cut:
[[Image ID 1, a snippet from Beckett's diary, in his own hand,
Hesha and I held an energized conversation in my hotel room. By its end, I wasn't sure if he wanted to kiss me or kill me.]]
[[Image ID 2, a snippet from Beckett's diary,
A male in an elaborate sun mask awaited my appearance. He introduced himself if Farsi as Khurshid of the Lazarenes. We cycled through a few dialects and languages, partly to test one another, partly to have something to talk about other than the eerie silence. As a sidenote, I often play language games with elders to put them at ease. It's a fun pasttime.]]
[[Image ID 3, a transcript of the arranged "family meeting" of necromancy clan representatives. An additional note from Okulos has been taped in,
Khurshid: It implies rank within my line, though I confess that being among you, it is superfluous. I shall remove it.
Beckett: Ugh.
Hesha: Beckett... Khurshid, please accept my Clan's apologies for the archeologist's behavior. It is NOT appropriate.
Beckett: Did you just kick me beneath the table? Or is Isabel jousting with my inner thigh?
Isabel: How do you get anything from your interviews, Animal? How do your guests tolerate you?
Beckett: I suspect my habits are infinitely more acceptable than what you reputedly bring to a dinner party, my dear.
Note from Okulos: Seconded. You're an oaf --O]]
[[Image 4, transcript continued,
Angelique: I am holding back from ripping the Venetian's head from her shoulders. I am maintaining the peace.
Beckett: Isabel likes that kind of thing. Argh!
Hesha: Last warning.
Isabel: I swear to Dispater I will skin you, Animal. You have no place here.
Beckett: Apologies. I know there is much to argue and recriminate over in this room, and I feel it important to focus on other things.]]
[Image 5, transcript continued,
Isabel: Can we all agree to not attack one another?
Khurshid: No.
Isabel: Pardon?
Khurshid: The Gangrel voted against Cappadocian admission to the forming Camarilla. Their vote was integral to the Clan of Death's survival.
Beckett: On behalf of my Clan--
Hesha: You do not have any authority to speak for the Clan of Beasts. Do you want it to get back to the Inner Circle that you're apologizing for the Convention of Thorns?
Beckett: Possibly not.
[RECORDING ENDS]]
[[Image 6, bullet point from Beckett's diary,
- Hesha passively takes in every word. I know that look. He's studying every party at the table like a snake waiting to strike, if you excuse the weak poetry of that statement.]]
[[Image 7, final snippet from Beckett's diary,
No sooner were we in Alexandria's library--my present location--than we all oddly began to compliment Hesha for his grace in escaping unharmed. He reinforced the effect with an hypnotic stare at Isabel, at which point I felt compelled to jam a chair leg through her heart.
It took multiple attempts. Hesha's ambient brilliance distracted me, for whatever reason. Thankfully, Khurshid and Josette assisted in snaring Isabel as she attempted to flee, despite her breaking Josette's ribs with a powerful blow.
Hesha stuffed Isabel into a large suitcase and informed us she was on a one-way trip to Cairo's Dream Court. This is where she wanted to go, but I assume not in such an economical mode of transportation.]]

Had the Realisation that my oldest vampire character is literally only 41, so. Some actual older vampires! Below the cut - a thousand-year-old Banu Haqim nerd and a two-hundred-year-old Tzimisce who wants to be a cryptid.
Ezra ben Natan, 8th generation Banu Haqim (vizier caste)
Ezra was born in the tiny Jewish Quarter of Constantinople in 981, in a time where the Jewish population was beginning to come under pressure from both the Christian and Muslim communities. Within this instability, Ezra tried to keep up with the studies that fascinated them, eventually catching the eye of a visiting Banu Haqim vizier (a grandchilde of Tegyrius), who saw great potential for learning within the young Ezra. They were Embraced in 1006, initially refusing to return to Alamut with their sire in order to remain with their community. Eventually, their sire persuaded them to at least visit, and with some reluctance (albeit with the rapidly fraying stability of Michael the Patriarch as a fairly potent incentive to leave!), Ezra left their community in 1015.
They found they did actually fit in remarkably well in Alamut, meeting other Jewish Banu Haqim and embracing the Persian Jewish communities near the fortress, thriving amongst their fellow viziers and learning all they could, not only about the Banu Haqim but about the wider world amidst the Islamic Golden Age (while there were certainly Jewish-Islamic clashes outside of Alamut, within, they would largely consider themselves Banu Haqim first, Jewish or Muslim second). During their studies on the Baali Wars, they befriended many of the local Salubri, fascinated by their healing arts and admiring their political stance. They also became a follower of Derech Chaim, part of the Road of Heaven. When the Tremere began their persecution of the Salubri, they were appalled, and successfully petitioned for many of the local Salubri to be protected by groups of Banu Haqim warriors. This was not to last, although, for a time, they were still able to give some protection.
Following the violence of the Crusades and shortly after the condemnation of the Tremere blood curse after the Convention of Thorns and the Treaty of Tyre, Ezra, despairing at the state of their clan and the world, retreated into torpor for several centuries, eventually waking again in the early 19th century. Deciding to leave Alamut, they departed for London, a centre of great industry and change; there would be much to learn, especially everything they had missed over the past 300-odd years they had been in torpor for, and when they eventually paid a return visit to Alamut around the turn of the 20th century, they were granted the title of Distinguished Master (specialising in Jewish Banu Haqim history and with a secondary focus on the Baali Wars). They remained in England until the first World War, when they departed for the United States, settling in New York City, which was nominally Camarilla but never really siding one way or another with a specific sect and so making it relatively ideal for a member of an Independent clan to survive. Residing in Brooklyn, Ezra became the self-proclaimed protector of the Jewish community there, along with a handful of other Jewish Cainites from various clans, and were largely able to insulate them from the eventual Sabbat domination, the Battle of New York, and the Camarilla reclamation.
In modern nights, they have joined their great-grandsire Tegyrius and are nominally a part of the Camarilla (although they consider themself Jewish first, Banu Haqim second, Cainite third, and Camarilla fourth at best). Along with their studies of history and society, they have picked up an interest in technology and strive to keep up with it, and has also delighted in discovering the concept of being nonbinary, which has answered quite a few questions they've had regarding themself over the past millennium!
Personality: Studious and inquisitive, with a strong sense of duty and protection. A strong supporter of the concept of tikkun olam (lit. 'repair of the world'), which they interpret as a directive to protect and heal as much as possible, and they try to be compassionate in all they do. They do, however, have a dislike verging on hatred for the Tremere, not just for the injustices they've inflicted upon their own clan, but for their actions against the Salubri.
Disciplines: Auspex 5, Presence 3, Quietus (Minhit Dume/Hematus) 5, Obfuscate 4, Celerity 2. Possesses True Faith 1

Wish, 10th generation Tzimisce
Wish hails from Tennessee, born Louetta Patterson in the then-new town of Knoxville in 1804. Forever drawn to the Great Smoky Mountains, they spent a wild childhood roaming the forests and foothills, delighting in the freedom from being a girl, from being human, in the early nineteenth century. When their parents tried to reign in the borderline feral child by arranging a marriage between them and the older son of a neighbouring farmer (they were fifteen, he was in his late twenties), they ran, first to their beloved mountains, then further on, following the Appalachians all the way into Ohio, passing themself off as a boy named Louis. While trying to eke out a survival in Columbus, they had an encounter that would change - or rather end - their life, accepting an errand to deliver a parcel to a strange foreign gentleman, surprisingly late at night for visitors.
This gentleman was a Tzimisce, originally from Eastern Europe, now part of the growing Sabbat movement in America. Pleased by Wish's resourcefulness, independence, and curiosity, he offered them the opportunity to discover a newer, wilder facet to life, and Embraced them in 1822. This, frankly, suited Wish just fine, who had never really seen themself as much human anyway, and after a period of mentorship, they returned to the Great Smoky Mountains they so adored, changing their name to Wish proper (from the last syllable of ‘Louis’) and setting up their own little domain there. They wanted nothing to do with human wars and conflicts. They just wanted the mountains and the natural environment.
They didn't get many visitors. That was fine. They could pick up books and eventually records from Knoxville (carefully avoiding the presence of anyone they knew, or else using their new skill of Vicissitude to disguise themself), and eventually built up a largely underground haven in their beloved mountains. Originally satiating their thirst on animals and occasionally on humans during their odd trips to the city, the Appalachian Trail gave them not just a steady stream of hikers to take the odd slurp from, but also the attentions of arsonists and vandals, who... well, were generally not seen again. They also, quite regularly, feed on invasive boars, which compete with the native black bears; two birds (well, boars) with one stone!
In modern nights, they don't look much human any more, and there may be more than the usual number of cryptid sightings in their neck of the woods. They have, much to their dismay, been obligated to get involved with politics, and human politics, no less - learning how to send petitions and communicate with others online about the dangers of regional exploitation, to preserve the Appalachians they so love. More enjoyably, they've also taken correspondence courses on conservation, and are adept at using camera traps to record the wildlife of their domain, taking biodiversity surveys, and the like.
Personality: Introverted, generally pretty relaxed, happy for the odd visitor to show up so they can do the whole Hospitality thing but also, you know, very happy to send them away after three days. Doesn't see themself as human any more, and frankly hasn't since their mortal days; while some Tzimisce go for straight monstrosity, Wish prefers adding animal features, anything from a spectacular rack of antlers to shimmery cuttlefish chromatophores.
Considers themself a caretaker of the environment, and follows the Path of Harmony - the world is in constant flux, and the best way to adapt to it is to flux with it. Despite their Sabbat sire, pretty firmly Autarkis. Politics is for people more human than they are, frankly! Still speaks with a strong Tennessee drawl. Lover of music and words; if you happen to be in the mountains at night, hearing the sound of a record player or perhaps a fiddle, or spot someone lounging in a deck chair with a flashlight wedged in their antlers so they can read... yeah, probably them. Would much rather chill than argue; they get on well with the local Gangrel and even decently with the Fae and Garou, who recognise them as a part of the mountain community and not the larger Cainite society as a whole.
Fond of furries. They’re trying so hard, bless their li’l souls. Maybe they’d make good Tzimisce or Gangrel!
Disciplines: Auspex 4, Animalism 5 (has crow famalus named, uh, Crow because corvidae are smartasses and they respect that), Vicissitude 3, Potence 2 (very useful for, you know, catching invasive boars)
Posts that are straight-out Vibes: antlers, gender, music, that whole being nonbinary/neurodiverse/aspec and also enjoying nonhuman characters and themes while also not wanting to be a stereotype but at the same time the vibes are impeccable thing, a friend

A story of how one of my player’s thinks back to his embrace while heading to the meeting point his sire has instructed him to go to. This also has a tiny jab at the fact my brothers are playing as more established vampires, due to them being my only players that have played Vampire before. So, this also touches upon their more established vampires meeting the newbie player/kindred that will be their coterie.
Day 3: Where The Undead Gathers
It was one of the better rooms at the JW Marriot. “Zero”, as he liked to go by these nights, was just finishing prepping for his night when a call rang in on the hotel phone.
“Sir, your associate, Mr. Mamun has left a parcel for you at the front desk, “ Zero heard the staff on the call inform him. He thanked them and hung up the phone.
With a sigh, Zero headed to the lobby. Jamal Mamun. It seemed like only yesterday he had met the Banu Haqim. Back then his alias had been Bob. Secret Agent Bob of the FBI. He had been in Indianapolis tailing a vampire target. Turns out he had been closer than he thought. It had happened at the nearby Embassy Suites hotel right here in downtown Indianapolis. What he now knew as the Sabbat had sent a raiding party into the city. One had busted into his hotel room and he had taken it out with ease. He looked up to see Jamal standing in his doorway. The fleetness of foot Jamal had to pounce on him was ungodly. Next thing he knew, he was a kindred. Jamal had chosen him because of his swift disposal of the Sabbat kindred. Turns out it was Jamal's coterie’s job to wipe out Sabbat threats in the capital.
That had been so many years ago. Zero had put his days as a hunter behind him now. As he made it to the front desk, he received Jamal’s package. It was a badge to the local gaming convention and an event ticket? What was Jamal playing at? He read the note:
Zero,
Come to room 243 in the Indianapolis Convention Center. I have included a badge and ticket for entry. It’s time for you to make some new friends.
Jamal
Zero groaned as he left the shining blue monolith of the JW Marriot. So, the time has come that Jamal felt he needed a coterie of his own. Great. It was a leftover from his hunter days, but he didn’t care for other licks much. Jamal was fine. They have had each other’s back for years. Jamal’s coterie was tolerable. But, now a bunch of other blanks that probably don’t know next to anything. Just great. When he arrived, Zero was surprised at the security for the event. Then he went inside to find a temporary Elysium. Everywhere he looked was kindred from Indy. It didn’t take long to see Jamal with his normal compatriots. Hennessey Jack the Gangrel redneck. Adelaide the Hecata that looked like a 14 year old school girl. Marisha Starglitter the Nosferatu bandaged up debutante. Daphne the Tremere ghost hunter. The “fearless leader” of the Coterie of The Iron Rose was missing, but Zero was glad to not see Caleb here. Then there was a familiar sight. The only other childe of this coterie. Marisha’s childe Borga, the big ex-military muscle head.
Atleast, he thought him and Borga were the only childer of this coterie. That's when he noticed very confused wide-eyed fledglings around the other members of Jamal’s coterie.
Jamal looks up and says with a smile, “Come meet your new friends. They could learn much from you, Zero.”
Zero groaned inwardly. When he thought they were probably blanks that knew next to nothing about being a kindred he was joking. Wonderful...
