Some doodles of my OC Junto and Ikada's kidletts-
The top one: From left to right
Thier eldest- Seiren (II), 6 years old- Junto after Ikada told her many wonderful things about his older sister who passed away, wanted to honour his sister by naming their first born after her.
Second eldest- Umi, 4 years old- Umi is a sweet little boy and like his other two little brothers resembles his father.
Bottom drawing:
Third eldest- Botan, 3 years old- He has his mothers eyes and looks up to his big brother Umi.
Fourth eldest- Koji, 2 years old- Koji, though only two is a very curious and funny little boy, his best buddy is Inky- his squid plushie.
Youngest- Miu, 1 year old- Miu is the youngest and the only other girl besides her sister Seiren- Miu looks like her mother, only with a very light sun tan complexion.
Either way, I just love how adorable they all are and hope to draw more of them soon- both as they are now as young kids and teens ⚓️🏴☠️🦈🐠🦞🌊

The Village Hidden In The Whirlpools
Fandom: Naruto
Rating: Teen
Characters: Uzumaki Mito, Uzumaki Kushina, Uzushiogakure - Character:
Tags: Warring States Period (Naruto), Uzushiogakure | Hidden Eddy Village, The Fall Of Uzushiogakure | Hidden Eddy Village, This is kind of, Character Study, i guess, Fuuinjutsu, Uzumaki Clan-centric, the Uzumaki were fuuinjutsu masters, Uzushiogakure Is Alive, and kind of sentient, No beta we die like mne
Summary:
There were many clans in the Land of Whirlpool, all of them with their strength, all of them just a step to the left from farmer, from fisherman, from civilian, but none more than the Uzumaki.
The Uzumaki with their blood-red hair, their too old elders, their too fast steps. The Uzumaki with their smiles and ink smudged fingers and too knowing eyes, carrying fish barrels just a little too fast, a little too effortlessly, making conversation and opening trade routes between families.
The clans of the Whirlpool were many things, but they were not stupid. They could recognize a predator.
Read on AO3
Back when clans still held wars on each other, when the not then ancestral home was no more than an island in the middle of the Land of Whirlpools, when Shinobi villages were nothing but a distant childish dream, Uzushiogakure was already standing.
It hadn’t been called Uzushiogakure, not then, not when the idea of a hidden village was something unthought, but it was a village nonetheless.
But people are resilient, and while miles into land the idea of peace was nothing more than a fantasy, the clans of the Whirlpool had already thought of cooperation. They weren’t shinobi, not then, not like the Senju or the Uchiha were shinobi, battle worn and blood hungry; or how the Hatake and Inuzuka were shinobi, animal side proud and instinct-driven; not like the Nara and Yamanaka, strategizing and information hungry, always two steps ahead; they weren’t even shinobi like the Funato or that hebi clan from the north, nomads of the sea and land. No, the clans of the Whirlpool weren’t shinobi like that, but they were resourceful and able to mold chakra, and to them that was enough.
The Uzumaki taught children how to read while others taught how to fight.
The clans of land taught infants to hold weapons, to polish and to sharpen, they scolded when shuriken flew off path and scoffed over the idea of games. This was war, and this was survival.
The Uzumaki taught every child to paint, red hair or not, and smiled when complex matrices lit up under chubby fingers, laughed with kids on their arms, paper exploding under the contention of shining chains, and explained their art, their life. They shared, and the clans of the Whirlpool grew.
The clans around the Whirlpool looked and ignored, for in paper and ink they saw weakness, and the Uzumaki kept on doing it, for they saw no difference at all.
The clans of the Whirlpool carved seals in stone, fed chakra into the earth, under careful guidance they connected to their chakra pathways, and from them to the roots of the trees, to the soil and deep, deep into the very core of their island, they saw and sensed every creature, for chakra is energy and in the end all is one.
They learned how to meditate, how to detect sound from further away than their senses allowed, to detect life.
And the island fed on vestiges, on the small traces left when all energy is recalled, but something is always left back, and the soil and the water feasted. The Whirlpools protected their own.
The clans of the Whirlpool weren’t shinobi. But the Whirlpools were treacherous, so they learned the ways of the water and the wind and sailed. They learned how to walk over the sea foam, how to call the currents to lead the fish to their nets, how to write small, tiny symbols on their ropes to make them sturdier. They were not shinobi, not yet.
News of peace traveled to the Whirlpools, news of shinobi villages rising, one after the other, and they smiled, painted all the houses the same color and built a plaza in the middle and called it a day. Spoke of union like t was a new thing, because the clans of the Whirlpool weren’t shinobi like the other clans of land, but they knew secrecy.
They dressed in dark clothes and unnecessary armor, they strapped pouches of kunai and shuriken to their thighs and concealed scrolls in between. It’s never good to be unarmed, but an Uzumaki needs no steel.
They looked at the Uzumaki and called themselves Uzushiogakure, snickering. The clans of the Whirlpool were now Shinobi, but they weren’t hiding. Not between the whirlpools anyways.
With peace came union, and with union left Mito-Hime, red buns bouncing in her head with every step, ink-smudged fingers still at her side while her father presented her to the Shodai Hokage and the Whirlpool smiled, for he looked not like a shadow and not like a flame and thought she’s going to eat him alive. At least he looked like the type to enjoy it.
Stories of Mito traveled fast to the Whirlpool, always mindful of its people. Mito who was a princess without need of royal blood, who excelled where even countless others failed, Mito, who looked up into the red eye of the powers that balance the world and said you bow to me.
She doesn't understand, they realize, not really, what she’s chained to herself. She doesn’t understand the magnitude of her feat, and the Whirlpools rejoice for her.
She chains the others, they see, and gifts tem like objects with her husband to make peace. Balance, they wonder, and stand back to see. Everything falls back into place eventually, they just have to wait.
She returns twice, and the currents calm with her arrival. Pristine Senju-white kimono by the hand of her husband, hands clean. No Senju clan symbol in sight. No Uzumaki spiral either.
The children show her their seals, the young admire her from afar, and the elders observe. She moves with the grace of a princess, jumps with the dexterity of a panther and stands on the water flawlessly. Her balance is as good as ever but she doesn’t know how to walk through the whirlpools anymore.
Her heart belongs now with the forest, even if she hasn’t realized.
The second time she visits she does so alone. Her hair is darkened with age but her movement is just as graceful. Children call from their places in the playgrounds and young adults comment on her strength.
She talks with her father, with the elders, with the Uzukage. Talks of age and weakening seals, talks of successions and burdens. Talks of peace.
She carries a pouch of kunai on her thigh.
The Island listens and watches, senses, looks over its people, no matter how far, how faint the connection might grow to be.
The Whirlpools ward them as they grow, as they connect with it and their surroundings, as they seal more and more of themselves in it and rumble.
The children of the Whirlpool, Uzumaki even without blood-red hair, because it’s been too long since the clan was just their blood, since the clans of the Whirlpool were such instead of just their people, play and learn and grow, creating seals and jutsu and new ways of connecting with nature. All is one, and impossible is just for those who can’t understand that.
It takes all they have to let small Kushina go. Their little Whirlpool of red hair and vibrant energy, chakra bursting out of her in waves.
Her position is an honor, to go to the forest and accept the weight of balance inside her, even if she’ll never learn not to scoff at it, not to see it as a burden. She’s always been more free than others, temper like the tides, going from calm to tempestuous in an instant. She’s a child of the Whirlpool.
But Mito-Hime requested it, and no matter how long it might be, how much she might have renounced them, they won’t deny their princess this.
They watch her go, waving her little arms over her head, red reflecting in the sun like freshly spilled blood, standing over the currents with the ease of every Uzushio citizen. She promises to visit and they smile. They know they won’t have the time.
The attack takes them by surprise (they were expecting it), they fight with all they have (they know what’s coming), they tell their children to run, send them towards Hi no Kuni and pray to the tides to let them cross, small feet dancing over the foam that swallows Kiri shinobi like they’re nothing, and when they fall, they pray to the Whirlpools (reaching, instinctually, to the core of their island, that ball of chakra and seals and energy where the underground currents meet, a knot of foam and power that’s been there since the beginning, the first seal drawn in the sand, the first drop of Uzushio blood spilled on its shores, long before Uzushio existed; feeding the tendrils of blood-ink that move with the water, alive.)
Uzushio mourns after, when there’s nothing but ruins and blood and chakra. It mourns with their children, tiny lights in the distance too far away. It mourns for them and for what is to come, and It bows one day, one day it will rise again, and not Kami and not the balance will take Its children from It again.
It feeds on what’s left, residue from jutsu and lifeforce, Its currents swallow the enemy, the outsiders, and takes their bodies to the bottom of the ocean, and waits. Everything falls back into place eventually.
It just has to wait.

i still can’t believe minamo funato was a character. she was only there for 20 seconds but she had so much going on. “my beloved wife maybe we shouldn’t bring our baby to an active warzone” “dw it’ll be fine :)” *immediately gets shot, telling her husband to protect the baby bc he’s the future of the clan and he TAKES THIS AS A PROPHECY THAT IT IS HIS INFANT SON’S RESPONSIBILITY TO SAVE THEIR CRIME FAMILY FROM CERTAIN DOOM despite minamo clearly having no ability to see the future, because should she have had that, she wouldn’t HAVE BEEN SHOT WITH THE ICE BEAM*
and then there’s the fact that she’s still in the same place under the ocean, in one piece in that icicle, and araumi periodically leaves her pearls that are ALSO ALL STILL THERE IN THE SAME PLACE as if ocean currents do not exist, when a factor of this arc is that kiri is trying to make ocean currents not exist and everyone thinks that’s Bad

THANK YOU FOR RESPONDING TO MY POLL IT WAS FUNNY! i like how naruto sending an email is the least believable of all of them. ANSWERS UNDER THE CUT!!!!!!!
alt text in image descriptions
Kakashi teaches Sasuke how to bond with his estranged daughter - TRUE
Episode 95: Tactics for Getting Along With Your Daughter
On the day of the Leaf Village’s Parent and Child Day festival, Sasuke really struggles to connect with Sarada while Sakura is at work.
Kakashi offers advice.
All it did was make things worse.
(I didn’t say the lesson was successful LOL)
Naruto sends an email - TRUE
Boruto: Naruto the Movie + Episode 56: Rivals, Gather!
Naruto sends Boruto a congratulatory email during the Chunin Exams when he learns that he has passed the first phase.
A trading card game featuring ninja celebrities is a recurring plot device - TRUE
Recurring
(i like that this one was the most undeniably believable btw)
Throughout the series there are numerous episodes and scenes involving a trading card game called Extreme: Shinobi Picture Scrolls, aka X Cards. Boruto himself collects these cards and is shown playing them with Shikadai Nara and Inojin Yamanaka frequently. Episode scenarios include Team 5 searching for Orochimaru to get his card signed for a hospitalized kid, Boruto and Metal Lee fighting over whether Shino Aburame or Rock Lee deserves to take the final free slot, and Boruto being constantly disappointed by receiving super rare cards of Naruto.
This is also “manga canon”, not exclusive to the anime.
Orochimaru is confirmed nonbinary - TRUE
Episode 67: Super Cho-Cho Butterfly Mode! + recurring
It happens multiple times throughout the series, but Mitsuki constantly refers to Orochimaru as his “parent” as opposed to “father”. People frequently ask Mitsuki whether Orochimaru is his mother or father, and when he himself asks this question, Orochimaru responds that it doesn’t matter. Hinata also calls Orochimaru a “mom friend” in the Spiral Destiny novel.
Boruto destroyed the Hokage stone faces with a train - TRUE
Episode 1: Boruto Uzumaki!!
Boruto rescues his new friend Denki from an evil spirit that threatened to hurt him and other students, and is late to the Ninja Academy entrance ceremony as a result. Failing to stop the runaway Thunder Rail, which runs along the wall of the Leaf Village crater, he makes his grand entrance at the ceremony by derailing the train, which destroys Naruto’s Hokage Rock sculpture.
There's a baseball episode - FALSE
:(
A filler character helps save the day, then returns in a later arc and dies - TRUE
Episodes 25-32 - School Trip Arc Episodes 233-255 - Great Sea Battle of Kirigakure Arc
Kagura Karatachi was a descendent of the Fourth Mizukage, Yagura, and worked as an aide to the Sixth Mizukage, Chojuro, who entrusted him with the legendary blade Hiramekarei to become one of the new Seven Swordsmen of the Mist. When he learned that the other Swordsmen were planning a coup to take down the current Mizukage and reinstate the Hidden Mist Village’s former reputation of Bloody Mist, Kagura teams up with Boruto and his friends, who are in the Hidden Mist on a school trip, to take down the ringleader, Shizuma, the wielder of Samehada.
Later in the series, during the (not so) Great Sea Battle of Kirigakure arc, Kagura, along Boruto’s team and some of the reformed criminal Swordsmen, infiltrate a warship to stop the seafaring Funato Clan from destroying the Hidden Mist. Kagura is killed by one of the Funato Clan members. Another one of the Swordsmen, Hebiichigo, who was a villain in her debut and now an ally, was also killed during this arc. Thanks to Kagura’s sacrifice, we received the infamous ugly crying Boruto frame. This was the longest arc in the series, and the worst in terms of plot, pace, and animation quality.
There is a villain who eats people’s brains to assume their identity - TRUE
Episodes 141-175 - Mujina Bandits Arc & Kara Actuation Arc
Boruto and Mitsuki are sent on an undercover mission to Hozuki Castle Prison in hopes of learning more about a criminal gang called the Mujina Bandits, while protecting a vulnerable, falsely-charged inmate, Kokuri, from the gang members. Unbeknownst to them, during a prison break attempt, Shojoji, the leader of the Mujina Bandits, killed Kokuri and assumed his identity in order to take advantage of his upcoming parole. After being freed, Shojoji kidnapped the son of the Land of Fire’s feudal lord, and Boruto learns the truth during his rescue. The amount of times this guy switched bodies was only revealed to Boruto and the viewer in retrospect. After reacting with fear to the mysterious mark on Boruto’s hand that appeared prior to his battle with Momoshiki Otsutsuki, Shojoji is then imprisoned in the Leaf Village and interrogated for further information. This is also “manga canon”, not exclusive to the anime.
A character uses a gatling gun - TRUE
Episode 184: Puppets
Ao uses a Scientific Ninja Tool that resembles a gatling gun and shoots Fire-Style bullets. This is also “manga canon”, not exclusive to the anime.
Boruto and Sasuke go back in time to save 12 year old Naruto from certain death - TRUE
Episodes 128-136 - Time Slip Arc
This arc was part of the Naruto 20th Anniversary project. Urashiki Otsutsuki, in search of the tailed beast chakra, knows that present-day Naruto is too strong to beat and uses a space-time dimensional device to travel back in time and steal the Nine Tails from kid-Naruto. Sasuke and Boruto, who were chasing Urashiki, are affected by the device and sent back in time with him, to the period just after kid-Sasuke had deserted the village. After Boruto and Sasuke get caught up in trouble with Naruto and Jiraiya, Tsunade orders Naruto to keep an eye on the strangers, and Boruto spends time with the other Leaf genin as a result. After Boruto and Naruto defeat Urashiki together, Sasuke uses the Sharingan to erase the memories of everyone they met before they return to the present.
Bonus: here’s a gif of Sasuke fighting some dinosaurs. unrelated to the Time Slip arc
thank you for reading i love my little nephew<3
the anime that is 76% filler!
#naruto#boruto#my posts#i know this wont show up in tags this is just so i can find it later if i want#boruto manga comes back from hiatus in just a few weeks. i had to do something to stay sane

The great sea battle of Kirigakure.
* contains spoilers of episode 245+ *
Although a lot of us may be disappointed in the storytelling of this arc and the pacing in the episodes. It was for a reason. The story tells us more than meets the eye.
Kagura and Tenma
We are made to hate one and root for the other. In reality they are both young, manipulated boys being held hostage and killed by powerful adults even after doing what they asked.
‘If you do as I say, I’ll let you live.’ A false promise. A mockery of their trust.
The similarities run strong. Both delinquent boys, without a family or home so they fend for themselves. Taken in by a leader, who they want to do proud.
The cycle never ends. Children will always be manipulated into loyal creatures to protect the only thing they know.
The bloody mist never really ended.
&
The prison system
Torture vs rehabilitation. And how did this go? The suppressed hatred causing more damage than before & the trust and good-intent built by treating them humanly.
It says a lot about the prison systems around the world.
#feel free to add more on!!#there’s a lot to say#kirigakure#sorry if this may be hard to hear about your favs or ones you hate#kagura karatachi#kagura#chojuro#funato clan#the great sea battle of kirigakure#boruto#hebiichigo#I’m not the best at explaining things and I’m just rambling so pls don’t be mad if I sound dumb or something

Boruto episode 255
So... the war’s over? Just like that? And the arc ends? I mean, I’m glad the deathly arc is over, but with how many people died, the ending feels insultingly anticlimactic... but I suppose life just is like that sometimes. For real.
Still, if everything that happened in the arc is never mentioned again, then I’ll count it as a fail on the animators’ part. Such big things, including Kagura’s death and Boruto’s almost death, should leave life long impressions and effects on the kids.

Boruto EP254
aka: emotional damage
“If it means getting you killed, that’s a different story. I can’t afford to lose you.” Aren’t you sweet Mitsuki.
Yeah, kinda figured the Funato clan was gonna get a couple of hits in on Boruto before they actually plan on killing him.
Oh Kawaki you better be careful yourself with whatever you have planned.
Aahh the emotion in both Sarada & Mitsuki’s voices.
They put so much detail into everyone’s eyes too.
They really got him walking the plank.. so pirate like of them.
Oh, if team 5 sails in just in time to catch Boruto falling into the sea then this whole build up is gonna be pointless.
He even spared Kobuna getting blood on his hands by jumping off the ship himself, how nice of him.
The real coward is the fool whose spear just grazed Sarada’s cheek. You fool, how dare you!
Poor Mitsuki is so pissed he almost went sage mode but had to hold back for Boruto’s last wish.
“Ever since I was little, he was always by my side. We played together and got into many fights. Even if we weren’t related by blood, he was like a brother to me.” Oh the feels!
“We are sad! I’m so sad my chest feels like it’s getting crushed!” Bro her voice actress is doing so well.
Yo Ikada jumped into the ocean so quick no one could even register it was actually him.
The similarities between Ikada saving Boruto the first time they met til just now was a nice touch.
That’s a pretty damn impressive jutsu Ikada has.
Pfft I love how Sarada gives Boruto a hug while Mitsuki is totally pissed off at him with “I never want to experience this ever again!” He is always so chill the poor guy isn’t used to feeling intense emotions.
Yeah it’s great the group of men who were following Ikada decided to lay down their weapons but ya still got the giant cannon to worry about.
Ah Kawaki showing up at the last possible moment. Wait, dude! Did you just slash Araumi’s throat??
Boruto’s talk-no-jutsu finally worked out.
Good to see him and Ikada just talking again, yet it does kinda suck we waiting so long for the finale of this arc to not have any large fight scene, though I guess the emotional stuff made up for all it.
Preview thoughts:
Ah we’re finally back home in Konoha! What a welcomed change from all the sea we’ve been seeing for the past however many months.
Still chatting about Ikada and Chojuro though so still got the aftermath of the arc to deal with I guess.

Decided to draw some time skip Idaka Funato, he's 27 years old here.
He’s living his dream building boats and sailing-appointed second in charge as he was given the opportunity to take over the boat business by Boss Kajiki when he retires.
Though he's not alone, he has a wife- Junto and two children- a four year old daughter and a new born son (which I will share later)

Biting my nails off for tomorrow’s Boruto ep (247)
I can’t take this arc anymore…
Seiren is to die
Ikada will get worse
Boruto? Please don’t lose your mind
Araumi- TRY AGAIN B*TCH AND YOULL GET T*RTU RED AGAIN. Don’t mess with Chojuro.
Anyways from the summary I really can’t tell what will happen, I think it’ll be mostly building up, with Seiren and Ikada… Boruto’s gang getting tense. And we’ll see the enemies next plan. I hope to see Chojuro and what the mists plan will be! All we have seen from them is the stand off on the ships so far..

Six Fantasy Warriors Join "The Master of Ragnarok & Blesser of Einherjar" TV Anime
The main cast has been revealed for The Master of Ragnarok & Blesser of Einherjar (known in Japan as Hyakuren no Haou to Seiyaku no Valkyria), an upcoming TV anime adaptation based on the isekai harem fantasy light novel series written by Seiichi Takayama and illustrated by Yukisan that combines modern Japanese culture with Norse mythology.
The main cast of The Master of Ragnarok & Blesser of Einherjar includes:
Koudai Sakai as Yuuto Suoh.
Rie Suegara as Felicia.
Arisa Date as Sigrun.
Maki Kawase as Ingrid.
Yurie Funato as Linnea.
And Aya Uchida as Mitsuki Shimoya.
The Master of Ragnarok & Blesser of Einherjar is directed by Kousuke Kobayashi and features animation by EMT Squared. The original light novel series is published in Japan by Hobby Japan under their HJ Bunko imprint, and an English language version is also available from J-Novel Club, who describe The Master of Ragnarok & Blesser of Einherjar as follows:
Some urban legends are best left untested! Yuuto Suoh gets more than he bargained for when he joins his childhood friend Mitsuki Shimoya in testing out an urban legend. When he uses his phone to take a picture of himself with the local shrine’s divine mirror, he is whisked off into another world – one heavily steeped in the lore of the old Norse myths. Using his knowledge gained from school and from his solar-powered smartphone, he has the chance to bring the Wolf Clan, the same people who cared for him, to prominence, all while earning the adoration of a group of magic-wielding warrior maidens known as the Einherjar.
