Title: Soulmate Maker Captain Eros

Name: unknown

Age: 35 years old

Eye color: dark maroon

Hair: black 4A curls (hair styles vary, I'm very indecisive)

Devil fruit: Blur Blur Fruit- with a swipe of his hand anything he covers with will be seen as distorted. The effect can be turned off manually by the user or disappear over time. Anyone who stares at the distorted image will experience vertigo. Body of the fruit will look off, color is peachy and the stem is black.

Haki: High level of observation haki. He is both the sharpshooter and lie detector. It's how he's able to read into people's true intentions and it's the reason his title is what it is. A really good matchmaker though unintentional at times.

Backstory: His true name is forgotten as soon as he fell from the clouds. Eros was a Skypian soldier struck down for questioning his God's actions. Surprisingly he survived Enel's blast but his wings were burned away.

The Cupid Pirate Crew: designs are in the works

Story: He's probably placed just after the fishman arc when he meets the straw hats. Would easily get along with Luffy since he's aware of his fun banquets and will be a part of Luffy's fleet when he finds out that defeated Enel.

My boy is transfeminine and a PROUD bi-mlm (bi w/pref for men) icon 🥰 While he was born with male pronouns, he's very feminine leaning but doesn't really mind any pronouns used for him, so he's a little agender as well. He's found that he is attracted to both genders but most definitely prefers men (COUGHS LANCELOT COUGHS).

2. Lancelot

GAAAAAY!!!!! This is a one hundred and twelve thousand percent GAAAAAAAY man right here. But, in saying that, he's is ALSO aromantic as he has an extremely hard time forming a romantic bond with another person whatsoever. But, he's also demisexual as he very rarely forms sexual attraction to those around him. He DOES have a big fat ginormous crush on Naisens though! Although he doesn't really realize it lol.

GAWAIN MY BUTCH LESBIAN ICON!!! She's VERY much into women and women ONLY! She's never had an attraction to men, in fact she thinks that the whole world would be better if there were only women (oml same queen). She's not a very feminine leaning lesbian which is why I assigned her the butch lesbian flag! She prefers to present more masculine-like as she wants to be seen as strong and dominant, but does not identify nor use male pronouns.

5. Naisens

That kid is non-binary all the WAAAAY and Nakaba PLEASE you have the chance to do the funniest thing ever and make it canon with Naisens PLEEEEAAAAAASE. Post-time skip Naisens uses they/them pronouns and dresses more neutral to not assume either or any gender. They're also pansexual! Any gender, any sexuality works with them as long as your name is Percival LMFAO

So Alastor is aroace, what does that mean?

a.k.a aroace infodump/rundown if you dont know much about the ace spectrum (other ace specs please feel free to add)

Aromantic (aro) means that someone experiences little to no romantic attraction (like crushes, heart fluttering, falling in romantic love etc), or maybe that they experience it slightly differently to most people. Asexual (ace) means the same for sexual attraction (which basically means desire for a specific person, based on their actions or appearance).

It is possible to be both of these, or to be asexual but allloromantic (the opposite of aromantic), or aromantic and allosexual (opposite of asexual).

Alastor is canonically both of these things, and seems (from the discussions I've seen) to be on the far end of the spectrum where he experiences pretty much none of either.

An important thing to note, though, is that Viv has said that people have free reign to imagine him how they want, which I respect (so long as his canon identity is consistent) but have mixed feelings about. However, I have read a few fics where Alastor is shipped with someone (radioapple if you must know) but he was STILL aro/ace, which was awesome!

like i said, spectrum - someone can be greysexual/romantic which means they experience some sexual/romantic attraction, or demisexual/romantic where they only experience that attraction after forming a close bond with someone, and many other wonderful identities that experience attraction, just differently (and these people can still identify as aro/ace!)

it is possible to enjoy sex or dating even if you dont experience the feelings associated with them, lots of people do! (though this isn't an excuse to ignore someone's identity/treat them as allo)

alastor is a manipulative bitch, and would 100% fake it, so just write it from the other character's perspective /hj

I’m probably gonna get some hate for this but I dont really care because anyone who does that just proves they’re immature and can’t handle an opinion and/or facts. But let’s talk about Alastor ships.

There’s a lot of people who say that Alastor is canonically Aroace, and the fact is that he’s not. He’s canonically asexual, but vizziepop has not mentioned he’s aromantic as well.

Now I want to say this first and foremost, you CAN headcanon alastor as aroace, in fact as an aroace person myself I actively encourage it! It’s great! It’s fun! I understand the need/want to see a part of yourself in a character you enjoy!

But by saying he is something that he is canonically not only will create a negative and harmful space, those who WANT to ship alastor with someone will feel as if they can’t, that they don’t want to get attacked or hated on or made fun of, and that’s not fair to them for multiple reasons.

One being that if he WAS canonically aroace, aroace people can still date, it is quite literally a spectrum orientation, you have those who are willing to be open to dating with time, let’s just call this demiromantic or in the asexual case, demisexual, you have the people who are not at all open to dating, I’ve seen multiple names for this but mostly “loveless” and you also have the people who don’t necessarily want to date someone but love/care about them more than a friend, so you have queer platonic relationships.

These are all incredibly valid people and incredibly valid feelings and incredibly valid ways to date or to not date.

If vizziepop takes the direction, which I truly doubt she will to be honest, or if someone ships alastor with someone. They CAN do this, it’s not taking a canonically gay male character and shipping him with a woman, it’s taking a character who needs time and boundaries to develop a relationship. These are two totally different things.

I’ve seen this thing happen… not exactly consistently but almost enough, where people will see an asexual character and go “oh! They must be aro too!” And that is not valid, a character should be allowed to just be the one without people saying they SHOULD be the other, it’s harmful to the communities and nearly exclusionary to those who struggle with their identities already and trying to find out WHO they are HOW they feel about these things and once again, creates a confusing space for those trying to just enjoy their characters smooching.

So, if you want to write alastor having sex, you can do that, asexual people and their relationship with sex CANNOT be narrowed down to one type of stereotype of “oh, I don’t want to have it” which is VALID!! But it’s not the worldwide universal feeling, if you want to write alastor developing romantic feelings, however they may be, you can do that! If you want to write alastor being sexual and romantic averse. YOU CAN DO THAT.

But you have to do it in a way that is respectful and knowledgeable, state alastor became comfortable enough with his partner to have sexual acts, state that although he may not take a 100% physical role in sex but still wants to please his partner because he knows THEY enjoy sex and they come to an understanding and firm/respected boundaries.

And state that you don’t want to ship him, you don’t want him taking a role in sex, but just don’t be cruel about it; don’t attack people; don’t say he’s something he isn’t. Just say this is how you see him and respect others who don’t see him like that, I promise you they will understand that and respect it too.

I’m probably honestly wasting my time saying all of this considering it’s a character from an animated tv show, but it really bothers me when I see these people arguing when it does absolutely no good and all it does is stress you out and potentially ruin a thing you really enjoy.

However after speaking with the masses (my mutuals) I've reconsidered and have come to terms with the fact that he probably has had sex at some point but doesn't see the point in it.

Quoting @cqcophobiq he'll probably be like, "yeah it's fun but it isn't that big of a deal. Don't get society's obsession with it." And I have to admit that they're right.

She has two roommates: a gluttony demon named Reza (he/they) and a sloth demon named Lucia (it/its)

Warriors Ship Hypokits: BrightCloudDaisy Edition

I've gotten into hypokits recently (basically OCs that are kits of canon characters) and was thinking about making my own. But then I remembered, I technically have some non-rewrite-canon hypokits already! These guys were once canon in my rewrite, but I decided that ThunderClan already had way too many cats and scrapped them. Despite no longer being canon, they have a special place in my heart. A fun fact about them is that I was inspired to make them after the amazing Daisy MAP “It Never Rains in Southern California” by crowla on YouTube. (You can see the influence name theming- rain, storm, etc)

Daisy carried them. They were born sometime after the final battle with the Dark Forest. Since Daisy was older and stressed when she had them, they were weaker and shortly after she gave birth to them, they all got horribly sick.

Stormflower- large longhaired dark gray molly with blue eyes. Trans molly, demisexual. Stormflower was the second to recover from the disease. She spent her time between trying to stop her brother from destroying the Nursery and helping care for Swiftkit, who was still sick. She even chose to delay her own apprenticeship so that Swiftrain wouldn't need to do their Ceremony alone. Stormflower is gentle, compassionate, and a bit stubborn. She asked to be named for her deceased sister when she earned her Warrior Name. She is a Den-Mother. 

Swiftrain- small and skinny pale gray tolly with pale blue eyes. AFAB genderqueer, asexual. Their pronouns are they/them. Swiftrain was the last kit in Daisy’s litter to recover, to the point it delayed their apprenticeship. They are still a little sickly even as an adult but do much better now. They are particularly close with Stormflower, who chose to delay her own apprenticeship to be with them when they were sick. Swiftrain is a bit nervous and socially awkward, but enjoys the company of others nonetheless. They are a Scout.

Flowerkit- pale ginger-and-white molly with green eyes. Flowerkit never recovered from the illness that sickened her and her siblings and died very young. If she had lived, her name would have been Flowerpetal and she would have been a Hunter.

Cottonpuff- fluffy longhaired white tom with green eyes. Cis tom, aromantic pansexual. Cloudtail 2.0. Cottonpuff recovered the fastest out of his siblings and was quick to start bouncing around the Nursery, much to everyone’s chagrin. Thankfully he mellowed out as he got older. He is playful and flirtatious and likes to fluster cats. He likes puns and pranks as well. He is secretly much smarter and more insightful than he acts. He is a Builder.

The attraction rant

So, I have Identified as Asexual, Gay, Demisexual, Aromantic, A nymphomaniac, Literally just fucking insane and rabid for the idea of love. I've had, Like, actual physical illness because i was yearning for romance so bad.

And I still don't think I've ever been attracted to someone.

Romantics vs. Romantic attraction

I am 100% a romantic, I only look at media with romantic through lines, (except scavengers reign, and YouTube videos) 90% of the words I've written in my Life have been about explicit ships. And my 2 favorite pieces of media are gay romances. Here's a fun tidbit, I know, for a fact, that i do not experience attraction for women. at all Here's another fun fact, I have never experienced attraction to a person, period, but I am attracted to the men

I am at most 5% experiencing Romantic attraction ever. The only time I have ever for sure 100% experienced romantic attraction were 1. a guy in my English class in middle school who absolutely started it 2. a guy freshman year who i was using as part of my script for high school The first guy kissed me, and i immediately wanted to have his kids. I was a boy, so that was weird, also my classmates were encouraging him to flirt with me while i was sitting there, so that was also weird. The other guy, I knew FOR SURE i didn't actually have feelings for, but i was so obsessed with the idea of a high school romance, that I just chose to be in love with him. that lasted 1 day before i got so stressed out i threw up at soccer practice and quit soccer. Then i lost interest. Sexuality Vs. Sexual Attraction

I won't go into the specifics, but my interest in sex, and general enjoyment of it is at like, 89% (im trans soo) and like romance, my interest and enjoyment of sex is at a point where it borders on unhealthy obsession, less so than romance tho.

Again, I am at most 5% experiencing sexual attraction EVER. I have tried, so hard, to find a celebrity, or just existing person in the world attractive, And like, Ryan Reynolds has a nice body, but I don't think i would have sex with him if he asked me. I just don't want to do it with him, even tho I think his body looks nice. But, Again, I do really really really really really enjoy sex. So i would actually do Ryan Reynolds, but only because of the sex, not because of him.

Does that Mean I'm Aro/Ace?

Probably. because despite my absolute adoration and intense interest in men, I cannot for the life of me just BE attracted to a person. Anyways, Asexuality is still categorized as a disorder in a lot of places, specifically not feeling sexual attraction when you or your partner wants you to. So yes, Ace people do get discriminated against, and are also queer by nature of not experiencing attraction, and also being ace can be very distressing, like, I am always distressed because i would really like to feel good about having sex, specifically feel good about the person i have it with, but that doesn't happen much for me. Anyways, Ace people are queer, belong in the community, no matter what, and if you think otherwise, I would like you to explain it to me, but yeah, this is my experience of romance and sexuality, other people's are different etc etc. thats all

Is there really discourse?? 😭 There shouldn't be! She's Barbie and it's just a movie. I am not the Official Person to ask for any "hey I think THIS is canon" but here's my personal headcanon just for fun:

My answer changes depending on the day and how I'm feeling. As someone who is a sapphic bisexual (possibly a lesbian if I really take the time to think about it but HAHA I won't spiral over THAT today, don't need an existential crisis right now, NO TIME FOR THAT), I might also be on the aromantic spectrum (or I might not be. it could just be the 'tism.), but I know for a fact I am asexual. SO, as a... my god what would you call me, an aroace WLW? I see Barbie as any of these things.

She -- and every single doll in BarbieLand -- is canonically asexual (expressed by Margot Robbie in multiple interviews). Now, she says it's "because they don't have reproductive organs", and we know this changes for Barbie at the end of the film. So, is she magically no longer asexual because of that logic? Who knows. You can be asexual but that's quite a spectrum. I am asexual but sex neutral, meaning I have zero sexual attraction but I am willing to sleep with my romantic partner if they desire it, and if I'm in the right headspace to do the work (since it's literally just All Work for me and not Feeling), and hey, maybe Barbie is asexual but sex neutral. Or sex repulsed. Or sex positive. Who knows!! When it comes to fiction, I feel 100% safe and comfortable exploring sexual feelings for my F/Os @beach-him-off-until-he-kens with art, fics, daydreaming, etc. Asexuality is a spectrum. Maybe Barbie is demisexual! Maybe she's ace! Or maybe when she's human, she isn't anymore. Who knows!!!

I can see Barbie as a lesbian because she had a male-identifying (I'm sorry if that's the incorrect phrase; feel free to correct me on that) doll quite literally CREATED to BE her love interest, that she had zero interest for (in the 2023 movie ofc, other iterations however are entirely a different story) but she was soooo loving with her girls, her Barbies. She could just be best friends with Barbies without any romantic attraction whatsoever, of course, but I remember a Margot/Ryan interview where Margot said "if Barbie were on a dating app, she'd have to be VERY CLEAR that her partner NEEDS to be okay with the fact that she needs her girls!! She loves her girls and NEEDS her girls nights" and yeah you could interpret that as "she's just best friends with girls" but as a queer person, I read it as queer. The lesbian-colored shirt Gloria was wearing, too... oh, honey, that cannot be a coincidence, there's no way they didn't know those were the lesbian pride colors. This movie was made with a few openly queer people (i.e. Ncuti Gatwa, Scott Evans, Hari Nef), for queer people, and possibly even by a few queer people. I would not rule out the possibility of Barbie being a lesbian.

I remember another Margot/Ryan interview where someone asked "people believe Barbie and Ken are queer, do you think that's true, can you confirm that" and of course they cannot just outright be Renee Rapp and say "YEAH MY CHARACTER IS 100% A LESBIAN" because these people have had media training SLDFJSDLFSDF. But I remember Margot and Greta have both said that BarbieLand is inclusive for queer people and they want EVERYONE to feel welcome there, that any dolls being queer there wouldn't be seen as "abnormal" like it is in our world, because BarbieLand is just... dolls. They don't face homophobia or transphobia or racism the way that we do in the real world, they don't even have a concept of that, they are quite literally not built for it. Somebody else can absolutely phrase this so much better than I can, but I hope what I'm saying makes even just a little bit of sense.

So anyway to answer your question, I personally see Barbie as a lesbian asexual, possibly somewhere on the aro spectrum, like a demiromantic ace lesbian, but I am open to her being literally anything at all. My answer changes every so often! Some days, I see her as a biromantic asexual, because who says she'd only be attracted to women just because she wasn't attracted to Ken? She could be attracted to any gender, and Ken just might not be her cup of tea, y'know? Some days I see her as aromantic asexual. Some days I just say she's WLW/queer and it doesn't have to be deeper than that. After all, she's Barbie, she's Everything, and Barbie Can Be Anything™.

Demisexual representation

I’m not sure if I’m doing this as a “tips to write good demisexual representation” post or “I haven’t found good demisexual representation and that's driving me crazy” post.

So I was really excited to read Radio Silence by Alice Oseman, but I did my best waiting and reading their other books in chronically order, before starting with Radio Silence, what I finally did five days ago. I was literally screaming when I started with it.

Why? Because I thought that I would finally find good demisexual representation. Key word: thought.

I have read loads of books (on Wattpad) that promise demisexual characters. But half the time they didn’t use the label inside the book, or just on (in, at???? Please correct any grammar mistake) the epilogue. The others were one hundred percent as demiromantic as demisexual characters but they NEVER labelled the demiromantic part of the character’s experience.

So did Alice in Radio Silence. And I’m really disappointed.

Not because a character (as any people) cannot be demi in both types of attraction. Anyone can be both, anyone can experience sexual and romantic attraction in the same way.

But when talking about representation of an oppressed group, when our oppression is determined by how well allopeople can understand our experiences, it’s transcendental how well labelled are characters sold as ace/aro representation.

It's not that the demisexual part is bad written in Radio Silence, but it's not the only part written, just the only one mentioned.

So yes, if you want to write a character that is demisexual and demiromantic, that’s amazing, only if you name both labels.

So yes, Aled Last is both demisexual and demiromantic. And I know that he doesn’t care about labels, but he’s a character, not a person. He is a symbol for and of our communities. So both spectrums need to be named.

So yes, I’m tired of people who mix up sexual and romantic attraction. And still I rated Radio Silence with 5 stars ‘cause that’s my only critic, and I don’t know why these lines are constructed like this, but that’s the only part that bothers me completely about the book and how it's written.

Demisexual people do have crushes on any kind of people.

Commonly, it’s not that obvious that we don’t feel certain things, till you start noticing that you’re missing part of the experiences everyone else seems to have. But the romantic attraction (if you are just demisexual and not in the aromantic spectrum) is as everyone else’s and, since what I’ve talked with other demisexual people, commonly even more intense.

We just notice that how we have those crushes is different. Usually we don't understand how is different till we read about the split attraction model (SAM).

Fun fact (no that fun): Some demisexual people develop sexual attraction towards people for whom they don’t feel romantic attraction, too. And this part of our experience needs to be represented as well.

Canon Harry only dates girls. Canon Harry has also stated in the prose that Cedric, Sirius, Tom Riddle, and Tom Riddle Sr are handsome.

Fun fact: at age 16, in HBP, Harry notes how handsome Tom Riddle is nearly every fucking time he sees the man.

Sorry, peeps, but if you're noting how handsome or hot someone of the same gender as yours is, I'd bet good money you're not 100% straight. Whoops. Have fun with that existential crisis. Been there, done that myself.

Next, let's analyze Voldemort. We do not once see him be affectionate with anyone in the true sense of the word. He's flamboyant. He's rather campy. This mofo can't shut up about himself. He likes himself, magic, and power.

I'd say Canon Voldemort definitely was aromantic and asexual. While he was cunning and charismatic in his youth, there's no evidence of sexual literacy in his body language nor in his language.

I'd say a large percentage of the human population have an innate sense of sexual literacy. People who are asexual/demisexual (I speak from experience here) and/or aromantic don't have this innate understanding of sexual attraction. Sexuality is either a foreign language or it doesn't even exist on our radar.

So, no. It's not "canonical fact" that Harry Potter and Tom Riddle were straight. It's not canonical fact that Tom Riddle would've been attracted to Hermione Granger above anyone else in his years at Hogwarts.

That is YOU, Anon, projecting onto Hermione Granger and having the fantasy of being with Tom Riddle. You like Tom/Hermione because it's easy, as a reader, to slip into Hermione's role. It's not actually about Hermione being a "good match" for Tom. Laughable.

But this is totally fine. You do you, Boo. All good here. There's nothing wrong with this type of fandom engagement.

But call a spade a spade, babe.

Don't come into our house and act like your ship interpretation is "better" than ours because it's your belief (delusion) that it's more canon than ours. Read the canon text. It isn't fact, but that doesn't actually matter here. We in the Tomarry fandom can "justify" our ship until we're blue in the face. We have some damn good compelling reasons as to why we love it here.

No, the problem isn't who is aligning with canon and who isn't.

The problem is the hypocrisy of thinking your ship is better than someone else's ship.

God, this reminds me of the "Tom would never bottom" bullshit discourse. Just let people enjoy their ships without trying to bring people down. Diverse interpretations is what keeps this fandom alive through JKR'S bullshit. We let you enjoy your ships in peace. Give us the same fucking respect, for fuck's sake.

If you don't mind answering, why do you ship Tom Riddle and Harry Potter? Besides the whole issue that they are enemies, and the age difference, both characters are heterosexual. It's canonical fact. If it's the dynamic you like... Have you thought about Tomione's ship? They have a lot of potential together. And in the right direction, they would be a couple that could make it in the books.

I don't know why are you calling issues to a part of the pairing's appeal lkajdsjfs (And Hermione is Harry's age and they are on the same side too?). And not sure about that canonical fact. Harry can be read as bisexual quite easily and Voldemort|Tom... idk he seems more obsessed with power, immortality, and Harry. But even if that's the case, I don't see why it should matter. We're in fandom after all.

I don't know if I'll be able to convey why I like this ship so much. For starters, I'm really into the unique connection they share. There was a piece of Voldemort's soul inside Harry's; they had a mental link; a whole language they're the only ones to speak (for the most part); Voldemort chose him and marked him; and there's even a prophecy that linked them together. There aren't two people more connected than them. They're soulmates, and the fact that Voldemort didn't intend it and Harry hates it adds another layer of complexity.

But not only that, they're like a broken reflection of each other, which I find fascinating. In his second year, Harry was worried about the similarities between them. Both half-bloods, orphans, raised by Muggles, they both considered Hogwarts their first real home. I feel like they would have really understood each other in other circumstances. They would have been friends. Because one of their key differences is that Harry found friends and adults that loved him while Tom was probably bullied and, y'know, the whole Dumbledore thing.

Not to mention that Harry would die for everyone whereas Tom would kill everyone. They're insane in their own way. I love their similarities and differences, but more than anything else, I love when they're together. The fanfics and fanarts are awesome.

And the whole thing of being enemies feels quite gay sometimes klafjdlskfja. Harry can't help but think Tom is handsome and, despite everything Voldemort did, Harry wanted to give him one last chance to show remorse. I have no doubt Harry is crazy enough to actually forgive him.

I've thought about Tomione and I've come to the conclusion that I don't like it. pinktom has a really good post about it and I agree with it. Besides, Hermione liked Ron and had something with Krum, and they're nothing like Tom. Just because she's heterosexual doesn't mean she's attracted to any man, y'know? klajdlfkdjs I don't think they would have been a couple in the books, no matter the direction. If it's the dynamic you like, have you thought about Tomarry? More believable, more intense, and a wider range of wholesomeness to fucked up in the fics. It's really interesting. Unless you don't like men being together? Hmm? Suspicious (just kidding. To each their own. So no need to go to other people's asks to try to change their minds :kek:).
