it's actually called a work reference letter in english but the literal translation of Arbeitszeugnis is work report card

so, in germany, any employed worker has the right to ask their employer for such an Arbeitszeugnis once a year. It's supposed to be something you can give a potential futurr employer so that they have an idea of how skilled you are, what your work ethics are etc from an outside perspective.

Only problem is: the employer writing the Arbeitszeugnis is not allowed to say bad stuff about you. Why? Well, it's not exactly a rarity that ab employer and an employee dislike each other, often that's even the reason someone might be looking for a new job. So there's a law stopping employers from writing a bad Arbeitszeugnis that would prevent their employee from finding a new job.

Ok, kind of sensible, but there's a problem with that: if you can't write negative things in a reference letter how much of a reference is it? So since Arbeitszeugnisse aren't supposed to be utterly useless the employers have found ways to.. package negative statements in a positive giftwrap to get their point across without saying something like "My sales employee gave customers too many discounts and spends more time talking to colleagues than working." what they CAN write, however, is "My sales employee was beloved by both colleagues and customers and has high communication skills." which to us means entirely different things but another employer or someone at HR would understand. Some of the worst phrasings to have in an Arbeitszeugnis are "...made every effort to meet our requirements...", "...was able to cope with the usual time pressure and workload...", "...aimed for good results..."

You get the gist. These are the stuff of lawsuits, there's so many court rulings about which phrasings are acceptable and which aren't, there's websites where you input the employee's details, how you would rate their performance in specific categories, and it spits out an Arbeitszeugnis that you likely won't get sued for.

It has gotten to the point where a lot of employers say "Just write it yourself I'll sign it" so now they ARE getting utterly useless, and only older generations of employers and HR people value them.

Not sure if it's actually bad, but sometimes I get the feeling that many of you only consume media to have more characters you can obsess with. Like you don't care about themes, arcs, or even the plot. You just take whatever character you find appealing and add it to your collection of blorbos or meow meows, until you find a new one to star in your x reader fics.

Additionally, he just wouldn't have stopped fighting. There's no logical reason for him to lower his wand in that fight. Especially because Dumbledore's wand tip stops glowing first, he could've just released whatever spell he was holding while feeling the beating heart of the love of his life under his hand BUT HE DOESN'T!!!

INSTEAD HE LOWERS HIS WAND AS WELL!!

And Dumbledore even turns his back to him and does Grindelwald use this chance to attack him? No! Of course not! Instead he says "Who will love you now, Dumbledore?" which is just, come on man. Who will love him now? As if you'll be able to stop, you fucking idiot!

Gellert Grindelwald fucking wishes he wasn't in love with Dumbledore anymore. And he isn't even as strong as him when it comes to it. Dumbledore is the one actively trying to find ways to break the pact and he's also the one turning his back on Grindelwald, leaving him behind and I think that's pretty symbolic for their relationship.

Grindelwald is still following the plan they had when they were teenagers, he's completely stuck on it and there is no going back while Dumbledore grew above that and moved on. He realised that the ends don't justify the means (probably in the moment they accidentally killed his sister) while Grindelwald is still all about the greater good.

It's so fucking tragic with both of them still loving eachother but so firmly on opposite sides having to fight eachother because no one else could. There's no way around it because both of their resolve is so strong because of each other. And they still manage to dance around each other for years in an active war.

Anyways. I don't believe in number two at all.

Thought it all out more carefully. We have two paths to choose from at the Grindeldore. Both are tragic but one more than the other:

- The first path is of Grindelwald feeling the same way about Dumbledore. But putting his goal before his love.

- The second path is Grindelwald using Dumbledore's feelings for him for his own benefit. That is, he doesn't love him. He only has respect for him and perhaps, affection for the good times.

I love it when women hate men. I love it when women are allowed to vent to each other about how horrible and creepy men are. I love it when women form friendships with and prioritize each other over relationships with men(whether they're attracted to them or not). If they're so tough and strong then they can handle it just like they can handle being lonely. Aw fuck, guys I get that it sucks Neil Gailman is accused of SA. But it’s not about him, it’s about the SA survivors. If you are withholding judgment or waiting for more evidence, or for more to come out, then ok fine. But it is NOT ok what so ever to ethier act like the SA survivors are ‘ruining your fandom’ or ‘probably liars for terfs’ (actual thing I’ve seen). Can you fucking imagine how horrible it would be to bravely come out like this against your abuser (who has adoring fans, and if more powerful than you), only to be met with people etheir theorising you may be a transphobic plant or making it about them and how your trauma inconveniences them. This is about THEM, stop making about how much this hurts you. These are real people. If the allegations turn out to be false, ok, THEN you can say whatever you want. But until then let’s treat this with grace and NOT fucking victim blame them. Our hearts need to be with the survivors of SA at the moment, remember that, these are real people.

I, myself, am intersex. I do not *care* if Sally sees her womanhood through a trans lens while being perisex AFAB. I am an avid believer that enforcing the notion that such labels are 'exclusive' to intersex people is harmful. 'Oh but shi/hir has been used against us!!!' That is not the fault of Billy, who just vibes with the pronoun set.

The sooner we as a community can realize that these 'progressive' boxes aren't much better than the ones made by our oppressors, the better.
