This one local optometrist's office downtown has a bunch of giant inflatable tentacles and eye decals stuck all over their windows right now, and I know it's just Halloween decorations, but when I saw that all I could think about was Hermaeus Mora going in to get his eyes checked 💀

i just imagine him hovering above the chair in the exam room, going off on some long, slow, cryptic tangent about knowledge & fate, and the eye doctor's just standing there exasperated like "...sir, please, for the last time— which looks clearer, 1 or 2" and he hesitates for a sec like "...can you show me 1 again"

Guarantee that this won't happen but imagine if the first thing Ithelia does when freed is just revel in the pleasures of the mortal world and vengeance suddenly seems so unimportant. Hermaeus Mora is still insisting that she's a danger and Torvesard is all aboard the revenge train, but the Vestige just saves the world by taking her out for ice cream and introducing her to various animals for her to pet.

Can't stop thinking about how cursed Cirwedh feels being the only one besides Herma Mora to remember Ithelia and the guilt she carries for wishing she never broke the loom. She tried so desperately to get Gadayn and Leramil to remember what they'd done together but no amount of storytelling worked. As far as everyone knew she had helped stop the Recollection and nothing more. She feels so disgusted knowing she was the one that carried out Moras manipulation and ultimate destruction of someone she saw so much of herself in, and the people who (albeit BADLY) sought to reclaim the thing he took from them. She saw her own people turned against their ways to undo something Mora changed in the first place. She is left with only the guilt of feeling like she helped push Ithelia into becoming the monster Mora said she was, and literally shattering the one thing that could have changed that, and the thing that breaks her is she can't even talk about it with Fennorian because he won't remember no matter what she tells him, and it hurts every time he apologizes for not grasping it. The one person in Cyrodiil that she would spill her heart's grief to and she can't even tell him. The events of Necrom and Gold Road reaaaally cemented Cirwedh's hate for Mora and Daedra in general.

Have thoughts on Apocrypha, and how that black goo is really just the lost forms of everyone that has ever been trapped there. That plane of Oblivion is not meant to have a permanent form, so neither do you, your fav or anyone else. You become a distorted mass of writhing tentacles, you descend into madness from the whole ordeal and you become one with the rest.

Dubcon and noncon

I suspect the fact that dubcon/noncon features in 90% of what I write gives it away lol, but yeah I'm a big fan of that one. it's just really fun to write and frequently really hot to read. generally I prefer dubcon over noncon as far is smut is concerned, like my favorite way to do this trope is the type of situation I constantly put Khatte in where he definitely got himself into it but underestimated how sideways things would go, or power imbalance dymanics where the "forced" aspect isn't necessarily explicit but still very present. so I'm kind of picky about it but that's true of basically everything for me (I never got into game of thrones for a reason, etc).

Mass hoards of tendrils. Everything with tentacles and tendrils - that I am a part of - cannot be conformed to linear logic and expression.

No wonder I'm sitting here wondering why I don't manifest those things and why people don't associate me with them. No wonder I manifest wings, or feathers, or smiles, or whatever it is. Tendrils are a translation of other things, they're a mask, they're an expression of the Lord of Consciousness manifested and embodied.

They're the other side of the universe brought over here, they don't exist over there. They're libraries of information, they're expressions of internal (and external) lineages, lines of thought and logic, linear progression - which in itself sprays outwards like the peacock feather, like lightning, hence why they are thick and heavy.

They're expressions of unlinear things. Crows legs arise from my connection to birds, to the idea of being in-between, the messenger between worlds and states, omens, all that; tendrils are chatter, talking, and they're symbolic of nothingness, symbolic of an absence of a metaphor. They're paradox, they're the parts of me that extend outside of linear reality.

They're the Milk of the Hagfish, they're synapses... Whatever else. Anyway. I was wondering where so much of my body was when I was confining "body" to this side of the universe.

where’s the fish?

something i’m extremely particular of when it comes to depicting sheogorath and hermaeus mora and their planes, is the fact these two mind-related beings/planes should be heavily associated with the sea. Especially deep sea creature imagery and motifs.  to my dismay, eso goes out of its way to deny all fish associations where they’re supposed to beeeeeee.

i’m just so tired of the avoidance of fish-imagery in eso.

hungers look cool buggy-like, but then i was reminded of shivering isles’ hungers and how they remind me of dead rotting fish carcasses. 

lurkers in eso look like big rock demon mans, but in dragonborn they actually looked like creatures from the black lagoon.

sheogorath wears his boring skyrim nothing tunic of swirls and eyes, rather than the fish spine and face and fin and mouth lookin outfit of shivering isles.

no fish. anywhere. 

god i miss the sea.
