I think the thing I liked most about Franky’s pre-timeskip design was that he more or less looked like a Regular Human Man at first glance. Like yeah he’s got giant forearms and wacky hair and a silver nose but the one piece world has seen weirder things. 

So we get to have the experience of watching a world government goon go okay I’m going to shoot at this man. Wait why aren’t the bullets working. Wait why is he raising his arm like that. Wait wHYS THERE A GUN IN THERE. WHERE DID THAT MISSILE COME FROM.

I know I don’t post any of my artwork on here (yet) but my number 1 piece (lol) of advice for people who are trying to figure out Strawhat group shot compositions is to figure out where Franky is in the shot 2nd. Luffy is always first. Sanji and Zoro are 3rd and 4th. I know instinct says just go down the line in order but that means you’re figuring out the big guys last and it’ll always make your composition look weaker (every piece of art with a tiny background franky please know I am hugging you I love you I mean this with all the kindness in the world, oda does it all the time too). If you’re including Jinbei, figure his spot out early too. Usopp, Nami, and Robin are space fillers so you can arrange them where needed. And then Brook and Chooper are last (they are circles while everyone else is rectangles and the big guys are triangles, so you can balance out your image by putting them where you need them). I can talk more on shapes/composition/visual balance if anyone’s curious.

a similar outfit to fit #2, but i like the skirt less. i love the pop of pink and the collar on the button up is *chef's kiss* really, if it weren't for the skirt this would be look #2

the skirt is cute. love the reuse of the jeans; pieces of clothes are meant to mix and match! but the overall look just isn't as visually interesting to me. it does look very comfortable, tho. i'd wear it.
