brainrot, but I'm pretty sure we are going to get the Sunrise on the Reaping cover for the US version October 17th.
Because the German version will be revealed on October 18th, 14 o'clock—8 AM for New York—and I think Scholastic wants to have the US cover be the first we see.
They also happen to be at New York Comic Con, which just so happens to start October 17th, and which just so happens to be the place they did a cover reveal for tbosas.
(Images in order: Scholastic booth mentioned on this year's nycc website; announced cover reveal for the German version at Frankfurt book fair on Oct 18, 2 PM GMT; tbosas book cover revealed at 2019 nycc)

#TimeShared - Day 1
Matthews, NC Latitude 35.8 degrees Longitude 80.42 degrees
We started our trip early--was shooting for 8a, but made it by 7:30. After a Sheetz breakfast, we headed south--out of Ohio and onto West Virginia. They made our route into a turnpike, which normally I would okay with--we have an EZPass. The problem--drivers didn't seem to understand how a tollgate works, resulting in a near stoppage a mile long.
Onto Virginia, specifically Wyethsville for three items--a giant pencil...
the birthplace of a First Lady...
...and Skeeter's, a local institution and a hot dog place.
The dogs were excellent, although a little strange. The redness of the wiener is not a visual effect. Not sure if they are smoked or pickled. Also, for a place that has reportedly sold 9M frankfurters, they have yet to work out an efficient operation.
More driving through the mountains, and we made it to Charlotte, NC. We came here for Heroes Con, the first comic book convention we're attending since the "before times".
We came here several years ago, and it's a rare example of a real "comic" show. No pro wrestlers signing autographs, no appearances by "red shirt #3 from episode 43 of Star Trek", no huge displays by media behemoths--just rows of comic dealers, publishers, and artists, along with some craft sellers. We bought a 3 day pass, since we couldn't buy a day pass in advance.
We picked up our passes (once we found the right booth), and took a quick tour around the place. We did stop at the Ahoy Comics booth--an indie that we LOVE, and we've covered on our comics podcast. PIcked up a couple trades there. Tomorrow, we'll hit the floor in earnest, along with some sessions.

I met this man one year ago. It was my second European comic con, a trip that was initiated by @teamreylo and yeah, I went for him.
He joked about my Roy Batty figurine and during his panel he refused to sit on the stage sofa, said that stages made him feel uncomfortable, always did. He just sat among us and humbly answered our questions. He looked tired, worn, a bit resigned but still happy to be there.
I asked him about "Do androids dream of electric sheep", about that part of the book talking about how priceless and rare animals were, a theme that was left out of the film.
I didn't know, he didn't know he only had one year to live.
This gorgeous man, the stuff of dreams and nightmares-
I wish he had more.

Gotham cast at comic con
All the cast members are so awesome omg. We got in line for an autograph from Robin and he was so super sweet i cant. He told us our cosplays looked great (we went as nygma and oswald) and was just generally really awesome. We met him again afterwards and asked for a hug and he was really really kind.i cant believe we got to hug him. At the panel, he recognized us and told everyone that we're cosplaying nygma and oswald. My nygma asked him if he thinks that oswalds step brother would have succeeded in seducing him rather than the step sister. He gave an in depth answer thah no, he does not think he would as oswald at that time is more of an asexual character, at this point in the series he only cares abot his family, his father and the step brother would have as little a chance as the sister had. Drew made the panel hilarious to watch. At one point they were asked which scenes were their favourites to film and Robin and Erin both talked about how they like scenes thar they can relate to in actual life or that they have somehow experienced before. Drew agreed to that...and then promptly told us his favourite scene was the bazooka scene because he can totally relate to that . Afer the panel we walked by the autograph area and since no one was in line for drew we went there to talk for a bit.during the panel we heard him tring to read the print on our shirts (we had printed "straight outta arkham" on them) and he actually regonized us and went "oh hey its you guys! Thanks for coming by" and asked us which part of germany we're from. He also found the print quite funny. Drew is just awesome~ we told him we just wanted to tell him that he was super funny at the panel and thank him for coming to germany, and he went "you only think i'm funny cuz u havent spent much time with me. Ask her, shes been here with me for 8 hours" and nodded to the staff member sitting next to him. And she just went "8 hours is already enough". Drew then told us a couple of german words he learned and thanked us for coming by to see him . We also thanked him and wanted to leave , but then he told us to wait and grabbed a small paper. He then proceeded to tell us "have a nice day" in german. He was really adorable and so enthusiastic about speaking german! He's awesome! The entire cast is awesome! Hopefully there will be videos of the panel up soon

In the past years, there were about three or four GCC's in different cities. Berlin, Frankfurt, Munich and Dortmund.
I think now they focus mostly on Dortmund. At least it looks like it. They now added Spring Collection and had two limited Editions this year (August and September).
And yes, in December is the Winter Edition.
I don't know how it will look like in the future. But they already plan a Spring Edition and they just asked people a few weeks ago how they liked the Limited Editions. So maybe there will be more Limited Editions in the future!
For those who don't know: Limited Edition comic con is only in one hall and a part is outside. And there are not too many celebs or stands. The "normal" comic con is spread over 4 halls (or maybe more or less).
Thank you for the info honn 🥰

I went to the German Comic Con in Frankfurt yesterday and got to meet Robin Lord Taylor, Sean Pertwee, Drew Powell and Erin Richards! I also got an autograph from Robin, got to talk to all four of them (gave them tiny presents!) and visited a Q&A panel with them. The amazing @robinllordtaylor was there too - and we spent almost the whole day together!! (with an irl friend of mine joining us)
As I have a lot to tell about this wonderful experience, you can read more under the cut! But to summarise: I had a great time and the Gotham cast is precious, as always.
The first event to take place was the picture with Robin. Julia (robinllordtaylor) and I met about half an hour before that. The photoshoot turned out to happen earlier than expected (because they changed the schedule) but we managed to get there in time! I asked Robin if I could “arrest” him on the picture and if he could make a shocked expression....well, this is how it turned out to be! Really happy with the result.
Next came the picture with Erin. I made the same pose with her but sadly blinked on the first picture. The photograph allowed me to take a second one (in which I didn’t blink!) but the person that was responsible for the digital version of the pictures put the wrong one on my USB stick. Still salty about that but, well, mistakes happen.
Then, we took our pictures with Sean. I made that certain pose with him because Alfred is a good character (so there’s no need to arrest him, haha)! The photoshoots were pretty rushed by the way, so I didn’t really get the chance to talk to them.
However, that all changed when we decided to get an autograph by Robin in-between Sean’s and Drew’s photoshoot! The line was pretty long and Robin was on lunch break while we joined the line - but the wait was worth it. I’m from Austria and prepared Mozartkugeln (a famous sweet over here) for all four of them. But I was scared that I wouldn’t be able to give them to the actors without buying an autograph, so I decided to gave all four of them to Robin.
Well, I got my autograph (you can see it here), told him how much I love Gotham and explained that I came to Germany from Austria. But, as I wanted to give him the sweets, he made a shocked expression and said “Why don’t you give it to them by yourself??” He then pointed at Drew (who was sitting right next to him) and went “Drew is so nice, he won’t harm you! You don’t have to be scared!! And Erin loves chocolate - go give it to them now!!” I swear, it was sooo funny and sweet of him to say that!
(My friend, who has seen the first episode of Gotham a few days ago, also got an autograph from him - and Julia did, too! Her interaction with him was absolutely beautiful, I really hope that she’s going to talk about that one on her own blog soon. It was so great to see her, and Robin’s, reaction! He also said “Tschüss!” (”bye” in german) after the autographs!)
After he was done with writing the autograph, I quickly followed his advice and went right to Drew, as there was currently no one getting an autograph from him. I explained that I had a tiny present for him, from my country, and he confessed that he really wants to go to Austria someday. “Do you live in Salzburg?” - “No, but I only live one hour away from it!” He was really happy about the sweets.
Erin’s line was a bit longer. She loved the sweets and already knew them - and she told me that she has already been in Salzburg! I asked her whether she visited Mozart’s birthplace to which she said yes! I also talked about Gotham with her and told her how awesome her white fur coat in the new promo looks. I was pretty shocked when she told me that the show had originally rented that coat, as it was worth “20 grand”. Sadly, Erin accidentally burned some of it - and they had to pay for the whole coat! I feel pretty sorry for her, despite it being a very interesting story.
I also gave Sean some Mozartkugeln. He knew them already and told me that he loves them! He also mentioned that his aunt and cousin live in Germany and that he visits them sometimes. It was wonderful getting the chance to talk to all of them and I’m very thankful for the staff for letting me do so without buying an autograph (the autographs are pretty expensive). One staff member even said “aww that’s so cute!
After the autographs session, we got our pictures with Drew. He was in another photo booth, that’s why the background of his picture is a bit different! His expression on that picture was amazing. Afterwards, I got the USB stick with the digital versions of the photos.
The last event was the Q&A panel. We arrived about 20 minutes earlier and got pretty normal seats (they were pretty narrow, though!). The panel was about half an hour long and they answered questions by the fans. I was the second one to ask a question! “What did you enjoy most about working with Ben McKenzie as a director?”, as I read that he directed one of the upcoming episodes and figured that it was a question that they would enjoy answering. A professional was filming the panel, so I really hope that it will be uploaded to YouTube soon, which is why I won’t state all of their answers here. The short version: They loved it because Ben, playing the main character on Gotham, knows that show better than anyone else and because he got the fellow actors well and gave them a lot of freedom for that episode! He will probably direct more episodes in the future.
I also met great cosplayers at that convention - Arkham!Ed and Arkham!Oswald were my faves - and bought some merch and comics. Here’s a list of what I bought:
Batgirl Vol. 1: The Batgirl of Burnside (for my cousin, she loves Batgirl but hasn’t read any comics so far)
LEGO figures of the Joker and Superman (for my other cousin, he’s four years old and obsessed with LEGO Batman)
Gotham City Sirens Vol. 9 and Vol. 10 (because they seem to have the Riddler in it - also: Harley, Selina and Ivy!!!)
a black t-shirt with the Riddler on it
Batman-themed badges (Batman, Catwoman, the Riddler and a question mark)
japanese pocky sticks (always wanted to try this snack)
a plush Ryuk and L keychain (they were in a Death Note happy bag)
Overall, I am so thankful for this experience! This was the first comic con that I ever went to and I’m so glad that it turned out to be a wonderful day. Julia was so nice and sweet irl, it was so cool having someone to talk about Gotham and the cast with irl! She is also going to meet the cast again in May (at the Heroes and Villains convention in Londn!) - including Cory, my favourite cast member. Weeks before the con, she offered me to give him a letter from me, so I wrote that one a few days ago and gave it to her yesterday!! She’ll deliver it to Cory and I’m so thankful for that!
The only criticism that I have with the convention is Frankfurt’s convention area itself. It was very hard to find the entrance to the con because everything there is so big and confusing (worse than any airport I’ve ever been to). Otherwise, I really enjoyed it! (sorry for writing so much about this!!)

My memories from OUAT NJ
Photo ops:
Emilie: "Hello Darling! I didn't know you'd be here!" 😍
Me: "Yeah I wanted to surprise you."
Emilie: "what will we do?"
We did a hug, a heart and then Emilie said: "do you want one with teeth?"
Me: "OMG of course!!!" And we did.
Then I grabbed my sheet saying "forever grateful for her" and she smiled about it and asked: "do we have another one? Because I have an idea!" after the pic when I held the sheet in her direction she grabbed it and turned it around so it showed to me. I'm almost crying in the pic because I nearly did!!
Meet&Greet:
Emilie was asking everyone where they're from and just added some small stories she experienced at the places. Like when she had her shooting in the wedding dress, which wasn't her own (my question), she got a bite. Then we talked about how one girl in the group turned after a bite allergic to meat. Also when she started to ask where we're from she straight looked at me and said: "I know you're not from around here!" 😍 When it was my turn I said "I came from the Red Inn" and it must have sounded like a hours motel lol because she got dirty about it "how is it?" and I said "horrible" 🤣 I then said I'm from Germany and Emilie asked where exactly and if they're doing Cons in Frankfurt. I said there once was a German Comic Con, but they didn't do it again, they do more in other cities. "I've been once in Germany... Where was that..." me: "In Bonn... When I was in Barcelona" 😢
We also talked a lot about leaves. How beautiful they are in autumn everywhere. There's this leave peepers thing in Boston which we laughed a bit about. Vera wanted Emilie to do leave peeping with her. Cuuuteeee. 🥰
Then she asked what Tik Tok is about. @juleswritesblog explained it's about lip syncing songs. I said she can do that and she said something like "to finally be good" and I was agreeing. 🤣 She wished everyone a lot of fun at the concert tonight. @betsypaige22 and me were like "no you, no us!" 🤣 (but seriously she's so shy about singing because she thinks she's bad at it, it breaks my heart 💔)
Emilie has one indie movie to shoot, but doesn't want to announce before the official announcement. And also a TV show next year. She said she'd move to NYC to film, but not like Texas where she doesn't have a community yet. I asked her if she'd film in another country. Emilie: "Like Europe? Yeah like for a mini series. They're doing more of them. I think it's so hard to keep a show interesting for over 22 episodes. I like the short series." Betsy said then "we miss you on our TV screens" and Emilie kinda sarcastic "I'm sorry!" 🤣
Assistant at the end of the M&G: "Okay, it's time to take pics with her."
Me: "and if I don't want one?"
Em: "then you just walk out of this door and be gone!"
Me: "okay" *pretending to leave* lol
Then I went first and said "see, now I'm even first" and we hugged very tightly ❤️❤️❤️
Autographs:
Emilie: "Hello again! Who's that for?"
Me: "it's a guy from Twitter, I don't know him..."
Emilie: "you don't know him??" 😏
Me: "no, it's a giveaway and I posted a pic of Lost and asked what episode it is and he answered in like 5 seconds which episode and what happened and I was like "I didn't even ask that" " 😂
Emilie giggled.
Emilie to a painting which was my next item to get signed: "Oh that's beautiful! Did you buy it?"
Me rambling: "yes that's the artist (pointing at the name on the pic). And it's for me."
She started to sign 'For' and said: "Oh you want me to write your name?!" 🤣 sure!
I gave her a rainbow pen for Vera. "She loves rainbow colors!" - me: "I know, that's why I brought it." 🤷🏽♀️😂
Emilie: "Good to see you, my love. Have a safe trip back."
