For the month of January, we are collecting Christmas candy canes and/or peppermint candies (no chocolate)! They can be wrapped, unwrapped, or broken; it does not matter! A donation box is set up in our front entranceway and it’s available daily during business hours! The candies we collect will go to this month’s Giving Tap recipient, Found In Thyme Sanctuary. The candies, believe it or not, will be used to feed their horses! The candy is good for their digestion and stimulates their appetite, which is great for the older horses they care for! .. Who is Found in Thyme Farm Sanctuary? They are a 501c3 non-profit farm sanctuary in Wantage, NJ that specializes in welcoming disabled, neglected, senior and special needs barnyard animals. Found in Thyme Farm Sanctuary was co-founded by Stephanie and Trevor McPherson and they rescue farm animals from abuse, neglect and abandonment situations. Their mission is to provide every animal placed on their farm a soft and loving place, ensuring that they receive the proper care and treatment that they deserve. Found in Thyme exists to ensure that no animal is denied a quality of life, and we're trying to help by making things a little sweeter for them! 🐴 @foundinthyme http://www.foundinthyme.org #kroghs #kroghbar #brewpub #brewpubnj #thegivingtap #drinkbeer #drinkbeeranddonate #donateforagoodcause #charity #foragoodcause #lendahelpinghand #connectivity #giveback #community #peppermintcandy #christmaspeppermintcandy #candycanes #christmascandycanes #farmanimalrescue #helpthehorses #handcraftbeernj #craftbeer #craftbeernj #lakemohawk #lakemohawknj #spartanj (at Krogh's Restaurant & Brew Pub) https://www.instagram.com/p/Cm9ZwDtOia-/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=

The recipient of January's Giving Tap is Found In Thyme, Inc., a 501(c)(3) non-profit farm sanctuary in Wantage that specializes in welcoming disabled, neglected, senior and special needs barnyard animals. Co-founded by Stephanie and Trevor McPherson, their mission is to provide every animal placed on their farm a soft and loving place to land, ensuring that they receive the proper care and treatment that they deserve. As a recipient of the Giving Tap, Found In Thyme will receive $1.00 from every draft sold on that tap this month, but to go one step further, we are collecting Christmas candy canes and peppermint candies for their horses! The candy is good for the horses' digestion and it stimulates their appetite, which is great for the older horses they care for! A drop-off box can be found inside Krogh's main entrance and it is accessible during business hours daily. We've all been affected by inflation and rising costs of goods, but this has really hit Found In Thyme hard. Please read their full story here: http://www.kroghs.com/giving-tap. Spoiler alert: it is worth the read and your time! Besides peppermint candy donations and supporting the Giving Tap at Krogh's, monetary donations are GREATLY appreciated and every little bit adds up! $5.00 is hay for ONE horse for ONE day! Their methods for donation are: Website (http://www.foundinthyme.org) Venmo (foundinthyme) PayPal ([email protected]) We thank everyone for their support, encouragement and generosity in this endeavor! 🐴 http://www.foundinthyme.org @foundinthyme #kroghs #kroghbar #brewpub #brewpubnj #thegivingtap #drinkbeer #drinkbeeranddonate #donateforagoodcause #charity #foragoodcause #lendahelpinghand #connectivity #giveback #community #farmsanctuary #farmanimalrescue #helpthehorses #rescuedbarnyardanimals #peppermintcandy #christmaspeppermintcandy #candycanes #lakemohawk #lakemohawknj #spartanj (at Krogh's Restaurant & Brew Pub) https://www.instagram.com/p/Cm4Xu_-OI_F/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=

The recipient of April's Giving Tap is Found in Thyme, Inc., a 501c3 non-profit farm sanctuary that specializes in welcoming disabled, neglected, senior and special needs barnyard animals. Their mission is to provide every animal placed on their farm with a soft and loving place to land, ensuring that they receive the proper care and treatment that they deserve. Found in Thyme has been rescuing farm animals in need since 2017 and they stand on four foundation pillars: 🚜 Rescuing: Found in Thyme has rescued animals from various situations. Many animal surrenders have come from abandonment, improper knowledge of keeping a farm animal, auction sites and rescuing from abusive petting zoo operations. 🐄 Advocacy: With this initiative, our goal is to support the welfare of animals in need. With the support of our dedicated community, it is important to connect with the community about the realities of a farm sanctuary and all the work that goes into caring for these beloved animals. 🐖 Rehabilitation: Animals often arrive at the sanctuary in terrible health, sometimes with life-threatening medical conditions. It is Found in Thyme's mission to provide the best possible care we can. A large majority of our funding goes into vet care and long-term treatments for our animals. 🐴 Adoption: The ultimate goal for Found in Thyme is to rehabilitate animals to the point where they can be adopted back out to family farms to live a high quality of life. They do not want to create a petting zoo, but the reality is some animals will have to live out their lives at the sanctuary under special care. 🐑 Money raised by the Giving Tap will go towards updates and improvements for the animal enclosures. They are constantly improving fencing and doing everything they can to maximize space so that the animals can be integrated into the most natural surrounding that they are intended to be in. 🐐 @foundinthyme #foundinthyme #animalsanctuary #animlasonthefarm #rescuedanimals #barnyardanimals #animalhumanity #helptheanimals #communitysupport #kroghs #brewpub #brewpubnj #thegivingtap #drinkbeeranddonate #donateforagoodcause #charity #spartanj (at Krogh's Restaurant & Brew Pub) https://www.instagram.com/p/Cb0ERPsA7mA/?utm_medium=tumblr

We switched out the Giving Tap to our Prohibition Red Ale! This seasonal features our Alpine Glow Red Ale with more corn and flaked wheat over barley. These two ingredients were readily available during prohibition and they make this a very drinkable, very light, and very refreshing beer. Also, corn and wheat are two farm crops making this a fitting beer for our April's Giving Tap recipient, Found in Thyme, Inc., a 501c3 non-profit farm sanctuary that specializes in welcoming disabled, neglected, senior and special needs barnyard animals. They rehabilitate and care for these animals on their historic farm in Wantage. Follow the important work they do on social media! Krogh's is proud to donate $1.00 from every draft sold from the Giving Tap to this local non-profit! 🐄🐐🐑🐴🐖⬇️ @foundinthyme @foundinthyme #animalsanctuary #animlasonthefarm #rescuedanimals #barnyardanimals #animalhumanity #helptheanimals #communityhelp #communitysupport #kroghs #kroghbar #brewpub #brewpubnj #thegivingtap #drinkbeer #drinkbeeranddonate #donateforagoodcause #charity #foragoodcause #lendahelpinghand #connectivity #giveback #peoplehelpingpeople #handcraftbeer #handcraftbeernj #craftbeer #craftbeernj #lakemohawk #lakemohawknj #spartanj (at Krogh's Restaurant & Brew Pub) https://www.instagram.com/p/Cb-phjDuIgh/?utm_medium=tumblr
