Mcr boston 2 moments (before, during, and after the show):

Walked from class to td garden

met friend’s friend (friend had got me and her friend tickets) outside td garden

waited at the train station for friend

saw a pigeon with 1 foot while waiting (it was getting around fine, walking on its remaining foot + ankle)

RAN INTO COWORKER/FRIEND FROM CAMP @ THE STATION

met w/ friend

got burritos and ate them on a random staircase

saw a bunch of really cute dogs

got in line

friend’s friend started conversing w/ the 2 guys ahead of us

ACCIDENTALLY WALKED PAST THE TICKET GUY AND DIDN’T GET NOTICED (friend’s friend had already gotten his ticket scanned, and he was like “dude, you just walked past the ticket guy”)

got into our seats

Badflower started exactly at 7:30, they were really punctual

Badflower were pretty great, I might check out more of their stuff

failed my wordle (the first word I put in was frank lol)

THURSDAY

HOLY SHIT THURSDAY WAS INCREDIBLE

id listened to their mcr Boston 1 setlist the night before so I vaguely knew most of the songs, but FUUUUUUCK I’M A THIRSDAY FAN NOW

we cheered the vacuum guy again!

got my octordle right (like, during the foundations intro noises)

IT FELT LIKE WE WERE IN AN AIRPLANE

Highlights of the MCR part:

THIS IS THE BEST DAY EVER + IT’S NOT A FASHION STATEMENT IT’S A FUCKING DEATHWISH 2X COMBO: 437 DEAD 6,483 DERANGED

Gerard asking the crowd to back up and being really chill about it

RAY FUCKINGDHJAKA TOROOOOOO (I screamed “I LOVE YOU RAY” & variations thereof many times throughout the night)

Phone storage filled up 1 minute into filming bulletproof heart (but cleared it in time for the next song)

all the song dedications (especially the Doug McKean one before Teenagers: “This was Doug’s LEAST favorite song on the black parade. So let’s fucking do it for Doug!”)

SUMMERTIME

THEY PLAYED PRISON. THAT AND VAMPIRES IS HOW I GOT INTO THEM. THEY PLAYED MY FIRST FAVORITE MCR SONG. IM GOING TO FUCKLHKHING EXPLODRSEEE

THE SEATED PORTION OF THE AUDIENCE (us included) ALL STANDING UP FOR WTTBP. FUCKING MAGICAL

during Cemetery Drive, the lights did a searchlights looking thing @ “when the searchlights find us drinking by the mausoleum door” & I thought that was pretty cool

THE MASS HAND LIFTING DURING SCARECROW. I REPEAT; FUCKING MAGICAL.

being part of a whole arena of people acting as one during that song was incredible

ALL OF RAYS SOLOS ON LITERALLY EVERYTHING

The last 3 songs of the main set. FLW, Helena, Kids. Probably has been said before, but those are like, the main big closing songs. I could tell it was nearing the end when FLW started. That’s kind of the mark of a good setlist, when you can tell how far into a show you are by what songs are being played. These guys (Frank) know how to make a fucking SETLIST

Phone died like 39 seconds after Kids ended

VAMPIRES

During the “can you stake my heart” part (before Ray’s solo), one of Ray’s kids was jumping up & down on the side of the stage (onstage I think, not next to it) & Ray stopped playing for a second & hugged his kid & then started the solo

IT WAS SO SWEET

OK. CANCER. ID LITERALLY SAID MULTIPLE TIMES DURING THE SHOW THAT IF THEY END W/ CANCER, I WOULD LOSE MY SHIT. AND THEN THEY FUVKING DID AAAAAAAAAAAAAA

used friend’s phone to call my mom, who called me back & said that dad would pick me up

GOT AN MCR SHIRT (the one w/ the castle on it that says “My Chemical Romance, Newark, New Jersey, Est. 2001)

dad gave my friend a ride back to her dorm area (her friend had left to catch his train during kids from yesterday)

got home at 12:30

Slept until about 2:45 the next day Tl;dr: BEST DAY EVER.
