Today (2/25) across the city and beyond I have the privilege to be honored by @goldstarchili as one of 13 “flavors makers” in Cincinnnati! This is an effort to raise funds for the @freestorefb Beginning Thursday, 2/23 through 3/7, Gold Star will donate a portion of all Chili menu items sold to the Freestore Foodbank’s Childhood Hunger Programs. The program's three initiatives include the School Pantry program, Kids Café, and the Power Pack program. These amazing programs work to ensure children in food-insecure households have access to nutritious meals. I represent my city anywhere I go proudly! no so the thing is mac and cheese is a cheap boxed meal thats really popular with middle to low income families. you get the dried macaroni and a packet of powder in a box, and all you have to do is boil/add milk. pretty much everyone here was served it at some point as a kid, it takes like twenty minutes top to make. (boxed/canned meals in general are a really big thing in the US and i always forget that other countries dont have that same stored food culture)

if you go to a nice restaurant and order mac and cheese its actually good because it isnt powdered cheese sauce, but also i dont like cheesy stuff in general so mac and cheese isnt a meal im a huge fan of. also pasta-oriented restaurants (im thinking olive garden but im sure others exist) have other dishes with cheese suace that arent macaroni based, but macaroni is iconic i literally dont even know what else youd eat it with
