Tyland Lannister

Tywin Lannister is the Spiders George of the Lannisters.

Tywin's villian origin story is literally that his father was unironically too nice. Tytos was known as the laughing lion, saw the good in everyone, gave out loans and didn't always care about making sure people paid him back, let his lords make fun of him, loved eating cheese and cakes and drinking beer.

Now did some of his bannermen take advantage of this? Yes of course, but Tywin literally was such a problem child that he went to such extremes to make up for his fathers kindness and threatened houses and violence to force people to pay loans back with money they didn't have. And against his fathers own wishes, did insane shit like wipe out House Reyne and Tarbeck, an act so horrifying it is the literal origin of the song The Rains of Castamere.

Even then, his father was so kind he left his shithead of a son a gigantic inheritance when he died. Only for Tywin to go on and remember his father as a weak man who nearly destroyed their house and name. Like okay Tywin. Yeah the Lords of the Westlands took advantage of Tytos's generosity but I think you're being a bit hyperbolic in pretending it was that bad. Like literally only Tywin is like this.

Look at the Lannisters we know outside of Tywin and his completely fucked up trio of fuck ups. You have Lancel, who at first looks like an outrageous loser. You have Ser Alton who seems to be competent but then he talks to Jaime like kind of a dorky fanboy. You have Willem and Martyn who were asking shit like "Does Robb Stark really turn into a wolf in the moonlight?" like you boys are 14 and 15 and asking this shit, thats adorable and hilarious.

But then you look at Tyland, whose in a situation that Jaime Lannister would've killed to be in. In Essos bartering with pirates/slavers/idk what they were but they were clearly not noblemen or anything. And to get their support, has to beat a hot, tall, blonde warrior woman in a mud wrestling competition.

AND HE IS MISERABLE. HE HATES IT. JAIME WOULD'VE BEEN THE HAPPIEST MAN ON EARTH WERE THAT HIM.

It makes Tywin and thus his kids that much more interesting, because it is not a family trait. Not like how the Targaryeans all seem to share this genetic trait of degenerate mental illness that makes them all have delusional god complexes.

Literally Tyland is proof that most Lannisters are just pencil pushing losers with no social skills, and it's all Tywin's fault his kids are total fuck ups.
