Looking at guitar sheet music makes me feel ill
#do i have to? i don’t think i do#but it would make my life so much easier and give me some kind of understanding of music theory#the one time numbers make more sense to me (tabs) and it’s the rookie beginner thing to do…sigh#it really is like learning an entirely new language for words you already know#some tabs are written almost entirely in musical notation just using numbers instead of notes#and i understand many of these other things but the scale. the notes. i just can’t i fucking cannot#i feel like reading sheet music for guitar is harder than some other instruments because there’s like#fifteen thousand different ways on the fretboard to play every note and chord
