This just came out of a conversation w/ someone and I had the impulse to draw this idea of martha + fred ... trying to bond, that I had in my mind for a while

What Martha is doing there is just putting some cream on Freddy's scars, which is something frecuent and Freddy is always the one 'out' with Fred just doing smth else and not caring (?

But this time Fred is there!! And he's sad bc this is in that era where Martha wanted Freddy to get his pills and stuff, season 1 ish

But ofc im weird and I made an animatic out of it. The text is kinda cringy I think, but the idea is just. Fred being mad/sad that Martha tries to 'fix' Freddy by curing his scars and stuff, while also hurting him treating Fred poorly and telling Freddy to... consume(?) Pills that hurt them both, they're kinda useless for what they actually need lol.

It's kinda obvious I think? I didn't add a metaphor or anything lol I made it in 2 hours

Hashim's death was mentioned twice discretely because Nicolo still thinks about it and it contributes the the survivor's guilt he suffers from in this fic 🤕

6. What's one fact about the universe of What Falls out of the Sky that you didn't get a chance to mention in the fic itself?

I wanted to dive more into the science behind immortality with Nicky's work in the bioscience. I was working in a lab and writing my thesis at the time I was writing this fic and I was so sick of talking science tho. I don't think I will ever go back and delve into it more, but it was fin to speculate on for a couple of paragraphs.

100% wish For Hate's Sake got more cred and also House of Perpetual Storm is one of my nearest and dearest

FHS was a fun historical and cultural dive and one of those fics i wanted to read but didn't want to write. it's out of my comfort zone and was something I was shocked to be able to write in three sittings.

HoPS is a lot more like my old style of writing and so it was very nostalgic for me. It also combined two stories I had been working on for half a year in a way i didnt think would happen and so it was a blast to NOT plan and see what happened

Incendios Forestales: Damnificados del sector El Olivar presentan recurso de protección contra el Gobierno tras no recibir ayuda.

Los afectados son propietarios de viviendas que a su vez arrendaban, en Viña del Mar. Ellos reclaman que funcionarios gubernamentales sólo permitieron llenar la Ficha FIBE a sus arrendatarios y no a ellos, pese a que igual perdieron las casas que  habitaban, lo cual les impide acceder a  beneficios.

Cansados de no ser escuchados tras perder sus viviendas durante los graves incendios de comienzos de febrero en Viña del Mar, Quilpué y Villa Alemana, un grupo de vecinos del sector El Olivar, ubicado en las primeras de las comunas, decidió interponer un recurso de protección en contra del Gobierno, tras no recibir ayuda alguna.

Se trata de más de 50 familias que son propietarias de viviendas, las que a su vez las arrendaban a terceros con el fin de incrementar sus ingresos mensuales. Pero según explicaron, los funcionarios de Gobierno sólo permitieron llenar la ficha FIBE (Ficha Básica de Emergencia) a quienes arrendaban sus propiedades y no a ellos, pese a también haber quedado damnificados, pues, en su mayoría, vivían en casas de familiares, las que también fueron destruidas por las llamas.

El diputado Republicano Sánchez, criticó al Ejecutivo  señalando que el dolor de las familias afectadas “es fruto de un Gobierno que no da el ancho, un Gobierno que se está lavando las manos con parte de los afectados, con parte de los damnificados, víctimas de este tremendo incendio, porque no son capaces de llegar a todos y no son capaces de decirlo de frente, dándole la cara a todos los chilenos”.

“Aquí se tiene que respetar un principio básico y elemental, que es que todas las víctimas merecen compensación. Y por eso, junto con la diputada Barchiesi, con el abogado que nos ha acompañado y junto con todos los vecinos, vamos a ir a tribunales a solicitar que ellos le den a las víctimas lo que el gobierno se niega a darles. Porque no puede ser que haya víctimas de primera y de segunda categoría. (…) Quienes vivían en estos sectores, no pueden ser revictimizados por un Gobierno que no da el ancho. Nosotros vamos a seguir acompañando a las familias, vamos a seguir acompañándolas en instancias judiciales para que el Estado les responda a todos y no solo a algunos”, agregó el parlamentario.

PIDEN LLENAR SU FICHA FIBE

Marcela Araya es una de las afectadas y según explicó, “ha sido una tarea muy ardua, pero esta es nuestra lucha y hemos llegado a esta instancia para ser escuchados” y junto con agradecer las gestiones de la diputada Barchiesi, exigió al Gobierno que les permita llenar su Ficha FIBE y “que nos reconozca. Nosotros necesitamos una solución. Yo no estoy viviendo en ningún hogar, estoy de casa en casa. ¿Por qué? Porque simplemente el gobierno a nosotros no nos reconoce”.

Mientras que Verónica Parra, visiblemente afectada sostuvo que “lo que nosotros vivimos fue una pérdida económica y emocional. Yo estuve a punto de quemarme viva con mi madre y tuve que ver cómo mis vecinos se quemaban vivos y nadie nos apoyó porque ni siquiera los bomberos tenían los recursos en agua para poder haber salvado vidas humanas”.

“Lo que yo pido y espero de este Gobierno es que no nos discrimine, nosotros teníamos arrendadas nuestras viviendas porque eso nos mantenía con un estatus económico apto para subsistir. (..) ¿Sabe lo indignante que es que para nosotros se nos humillara para pedir una caja de mercadería y no se nos diera para poder darle de comer a nuestras familias porque no teníamos la ficha FIBE? Ustedes saben que ya tenemos la pena de haber perdido nuestro bien raíz, con todo lo que costó para nuestras familias tenerlo y más encima somos discriminados por no tener una ficha”, añadió la afectada.

En tanto, el abogado que representa a los denunciantes, Raimundo Palamara, explicó que “aquí existe un problema de gestión, no de legislación. Existe un problema de discriminación y no de legislación. Insisto en esto porque tenemos aquí 52 personas, con ellos tenemos 52 familias que han sido damnificadas tras este voraz incendio”.

“Aquí necesitamos, urgentemente, que tanto la Municipalidad de Viña del Mar, la Municipalidad de Quilpué y obviamente el Gobierno Central, a través del Ministerio de Desarrollo Social, empiecen a trabajar firmemente a favor de todos los damnificados. La ficha FIBE que se creó, no por este incendio, se creó hace varios años atrás, se creó para proteger a todas las familias, sin discriminación alguna, que hayan sido dañadas o en su integridad o en sus viviendas. Y aquí justamente tenemos personas que han sido dañadas en sus viviendas, en las que eran propietarios y su único o principal ingreso era justamente el canon de arriendo. Y es por ello que presentamos el día de ayer un recurso de protección ante la ilustrísima Corte de Apelaciones de Valparaíso, con el objetivo, simple y llanamente, que se haga justicia. ¿Y cuál es la justicia solicitada? Que se rellene la ficha FIBE para cada uno de los damnificados”, finalizó.

Escribir a FH!Eugene es tan divertido porque al fin tengo una excusa para hablar de su relación con su padre. Y con la comida.

Una de las primeras cosas que pensé de Eugene cuando empecé a jugar en 2021 fue "ese niño no come bien" y la idea de cimentó conforme fui jugando. Ahora es un hc que realmente no comía bien hasta la influencia de la uwo. Y eso se transmite a FH.

Once again an attempt will be made to launch the sixth Falcon Heavy tonight (30 Apr-1 May) at 00:29BST from LC-39A at Kennedy Space Centre. The last launch attempt got down to T-59 minutes when the rockets own computers took over the countdown and promptly decided they did not like something. Bad weather has precluded a launch attempt on other days, the launch tower took a direct lightning strike one night, fortunately the single Shuttle era lightning conductor on top did its job.

The Falcon Heavy will be launching three satellites, the main one being ViaSat 2 Americas. The satellites will be launched direct to geostationary orbit by the FH and so the core stage and this time the boosters as well will be expended, using up every last drop of propellent, so no need for landing legs or the heavy titanium grid fins. Although booster B1052 has previously flown seven times and the other booster, B1053 three times, the core stage is new. The second stage is equipped with a MEK (Mission Extension Kit), identified by the grey band around the RP1 kerocene tank which helps to keep fuel warm on its long journey, the MEK also increases the number of COPV tanks for pressurisation of the propellent tanks and extra TEA-TEB ignition fuel for multiple re-lights of MVacD engine.
