Virago means a Woman Warrior (pronounced veer-ah-go). Granted this is an archaic definition of the word. Today it has much more “negative” connotations, synonymous with other words for *ahem* difficult Women: shrew, dragon, vixen, witch, hellcat, she-devil, spitfire, hag, gorgon, fury, ogress, harpy, nag, battleaxe, old bag, old bat, cow, old cow, bitch. It’s adjective form is Viragine/Viraginity.
I’ve seen all of these words slung at Women that make waves, Women who are bosses, and Women that fight for equality.
So, let’s reclaim this word for ourselves.

Hello! I'm aro and I wasn't around here the time the old blogs were active so this is all new to me. You mention that this blog is an archive so-to-speak, so does that mean you won't be continuing the lore from where it was pre-Decimation?
I will be continuing it from where it was pre-Decimation, specifically making it more aro inclusive, and adding the Decimation into the world building aspect of it (I am currently working on that in my drafts right now, I do need to reblog a bunch of posts pre-Decimation so I can link to them in the post before I publish it, that’s why it isn’t out yet).
I’m going to be reblogging lots of things from the old blogs as well to preserve it on this blog, as they no longer come up in the search, and only 2 of them survived all of the purges that I could find which is a miracle in and of itself. So, until I finish reblogging the foundational lore aspects from the old blogs, it’s going to be an emphasis on preserving with some creating/updating, and after I finish preserving it’s going to be an emphasis on creating and continuing.

Do you ever do something just for the challenge or opportunity to learn? . It’s been a while since I “turned” a character. It’s easy to draw a character once, but to draw it again from another angle can be difficult. I enjoyed doing that DTIYS challenge a few posts back so much, I decided to draw that knight again in another pose. I wanted to refresh that skill and see if I could do it in this style. It’s a newer style for me that I am really enjoying. I did a similar style in my Lockwood book cover. It was fun to challenge myself. And I did learn a lot! It isn’t a perfect new pose and I can see where I made some mistakes. But that was the point!! You only learn from the mistakes and the struggle. So if your trying to learn a new skill or refresh and old one, go make some mistakes!! Pick a project just for the purpose of learning. . . #knights #femaleknight #girlknight #armor #warrior #femalewarrior #femalewarriors #illustration #characterposes #character_design #learningthroughart #learningthroughplay #digitalartwork #adobephotoshop #wacomcintiq https://www.instagram.com/p/CP-usvHjHib/?utm_medium=tumblr

hey I love you guys but please stop reblogging posts from people with usernames like "femalewarrior" or "2gendrs" or "womyn-only". I feel like that's literally the easiest thing to check for.

I am sick of the body policing to which I am subjected as a Woman.
My heritage is written in the hair on my lip, and in between my eyes, and on my legs and arms and back and belly and fingers and toes and everywhere I have it. The hair on top of my head is hair that is shared by my mother, and grandmother, and great grandmother, and great great grandmother, and on and on and on back to the first of us to ever live. The hair on my unibrow (that I was always encouraged to remove) connects me to my family that lived thousands of years ago in Ancient Greece, when unibrows were considered beautiful and desirable. I hope mine grows back in healthy and strong, for I want to be connected to those Women. Why am I encouraged to remove so much of my hair? To make myself more palatable? Smaller? To waste my time with its removal? Why am I considered dirty for having it?
My appetite is called ‘the Greek belly’ on the island from where my family comes, why am I judged for eating enough food to satisfy myself and sustain me?
The muscles I have developed from training in Martial Arts are the result of discipline and hard work and eating, and I will have to do a lot more of those things to see them grow bigger the way I want them to be. Why am I encouraged to try and use exercise as a way to lose weight and tone my muscles, to shrink myself smaller?
I’m just frustrated and ranting about my own experiences; but, let’s make this a discussion. Women, what is your perspective on these topics?

Hello everyone!
Here is my new fiber arts crafts blog! I will be posting about my knitting, crocheting, and sewing endeavors here. I will also be posting examples of things you can commission from me or items that will be for sale.
Thank you.
Edit: Apparently it wasn’t obvious but you can only commission knitted, crocheted, or sewn/embroidered items from me.

What about Genderfluid aces? I don't think I've seen a post on that yet.
Genderfluid Aspecs have shifting energy signatures which makes you hard to track for the Aspec Hunt (the AIC and the ASOs have an easier time, particularly ASOs as these teams work together long term so the team members very often get to know each other very well).
Genderfluid Aspecs also often have shifting powers, meaning part of your training will be focussed on helping you be more adaptable to your powers and using them effectively, as opposed to mastering one specific power. Not that you can’t master one specific power, just that will not be the focus of your training so you won’t be caught by surprise in the middle of a battle when you try to shoot a fireball and a stream of water comes out instead.

Posted @withrepost • @youngragnar__ . ⚔️⚔️ ➡ Follow @youngragnar__ ⚔️⚔️ ➡ Follow @youngragnar__ #Drengr #drengila Drengr was a great compliment to bestow in #Norse society! A brave, reckless or fearless warrior not afraid to fight or stand his ground! But also fair man who would want to fight opponents of equal skill or better! The word Drengr has been found on many #runestones and inscriptions! Most commonly used when describing a mans death if he faced it well or overwhelming odds displaying courage! A man could be Drengr in trade deals or negations with fair or kind acts and be well known for this! #femalewarriors or #shieldmaiden could be Drengr as well! “Hann vardisk drengiliga” “He defended himself like a drengr” Photographer: @laurabirdacademy Hair and braids: @estelunisexhairbeautysalon Viking Sword and boots: @maximarmouries Custom shield and axes: @bushmansurvival Period clothing and accessories: @thorids_gewandung Engraved leather Armour: @battlereadyltd Warrior tattoos: @breath_of_cold_black_soil #cosplayphotoshoot #larpphotography #larping #vikingsofinstagram #vikingsword #vikingmodel #vikingmythology #loki #vikingart #vikingspirit #vikingclothing #odin #thor #assasinscreedvalhalla #thoridsgewandschneiderei #norsepaganism #vikingink #vikingwarrior #norseman #warriorspirit #vikingmen #midgard #pagan #norsemythology (hier: Midgård) https://www.instagram.com/p/Ci2X6A8tiYe/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=
