Deck: Stained glass tarot

Card: 2 of Wands

Keys: focus, facts, research, exploration, planning, decisions.

Reading: Get out of your comfort zone (sound familiar to yesterdays card?) and make a plan after research and knowing the facts to accomplish whatever it is you are hoping to accomplish. To put this card simply...You need to change things up, stop letting small amounts of fear hold you back, knowledge through researching the area you are interested in can be it less daunting, take that step forward you'll be fine with the proper foundation laid from knowing the details of the adventure.

For me: I've been pouting, yesterday's card still doesn't vibe with me, about the changes happening in and around me. The ones I'm told to make aren't helping. However, I've done research the past few nights before I go to sleep and have become more comfortable with stepping out of my comfort zone.

I've researched nutrition and become disillusioned with the USA governments ideas of what is acceptable to consume. I'm working on building a raised garden during the cold seasons, it'll take me a while since I'm still regaining my health, so I know what I'm eating. I'm also looking into chickens and converting an old shed into a coop.

Next, I've ordered a more realistic easel for me to use while painting. Table top models are great, and I'll keep it, but I need one that I have more control over the heights I need for various mediums I'm painting on. These aren't cheap so research is crucial. I'm a Libra and horrible making decisions.

I know this is getting lengthy but I really relate to this card today since I woke with the mental shift that it combines with. Bare with me.

Lastly, I've delved back into the books that have information I need to write a good book. Not just a slap dash book. Nor do I want one that is to in-depth about the topic I'm writing about.

This card showed me that I am on the right path and that what I am doing is what I should be doing. Libra decision waffling be dammed. It's given me the support I need to continue in my chosen directions. Health for my body, soul, and mental well being. It's not easy picking the right paths, but I've finally found some that feel that I belong on them.

What are the areas you need to explore? What uncertainties cause you to hesitate on exploring these areas? Can the desired explorations be broken down to make them more manageable and less threatening/frightening? Now is the time to figure these things out so you can chose the right path.

congratulations on joining the murder club anon!!!! depending on who you ask the name refers to either people who have murdered or people who have witnessed murder. usually both. actually extremely often both. it's a swell time you'll feel right at home (don't mind our collective skyglass knife collection in the back)

#im still not far into nemesis personally but im very much enjoying it #honestly in a weird way it feels like it's moving faster than HD did. which. is funny bc nemesis is like The gated behind item grinds quest #idk. HD was a fun slowburn where we adventured around gathering our rogues gallery before the action kicked in #nemesis on the other hand feels like im picking up halfway through a batman serial #fallen london #ask #it's WAY more fucked up right off the bat than HD was. honestly ive thought abt red honey for ages. that's so fucked up #and we LEAD with that?? Okay #definitely a horrors-filled ambition befitting caeru (the guy who's constantly going through horrors)#it really encourages you to get fucked up and freaky and in ur character's headspace at basically every step along the way #i only have HD to compare it too but HD was like. a lot more interpretative in comparison? at least to me. that's what it felt like #and i adore HD for that dont get me wrong here #HD just also waited until like. halfway through before it asked what the scoundrel actually Wanted out of its heart's desire #nemesis in comparison is right off the bat who died? who are you mourning? anguish. justice. there must be vengeance.#it's a delightfully different vibe!! i like it!!!#oh god sorry anon im doing the classic yin talking way too much in the tags thing again #i havent had much excuse to talk abt nemesis and what i think of it so far and of course its rp effects on caeru #but i do have a handful of thoughts on it #it's good. im liking it so far. it's starting very strong if nothing else. and i have no spoiler knowledge of what happens in the future #beyond the choice between rewards at the very end #and im SO curious how we'll get to that point. what horrors will we adventure through next? off we go to find out!#it's biggest glaring weakness so far is how horrendously grindy it is. and like. ive been warned and done my research ahead of time #im doing it on the same account im seeking. i knew what i was getting into. but also gots damn.#in comparison HD's 5-card lodgings and dreamgate feel like footnotes #anyway while im already way too deep into rambling did you know the honey trip gives you fate?? insane. why does it do that. hilarious even

All DFW Alamo Drafthouse locations were suddenly closed down today (due to bankruptcy) and I am now lost, adrift, and in despair

idk how the full pokemon tcg is, but now that i've got three consistent decks going on pocket i can say that the types here really don't feel like they have much identity. it's not fair to compare it to magic the gathering because the actual flow of combat is fundamentally quite different, being 1-on-1 and all, but playing metal feels the same as playing fighting feels the same as playing lightning, and the ai themed decks feel super similar too.

#the main ex cards feel particularly samey. so many (all?) have effectively the exact same attacks #oh wow a 2 energy 50 power and a 4 energy 150 that discards 2. you're so original #i wanna look at all the cards at once. there has to be a webpage with them #sighh i just wanna get my koga deck decent and see what stalling feels like in this game. need muks #my current decks are eelektross-helioptile / bisharp-pidgeot / marowak ex #the one deck i like conceptually (dragonite vaporeon jolteon) is basically inviable #and my one fav pokemon in the game is honestly worthless. rip porygon i'm sure you'll get evos soon #oh i'd also love to try 18 trainers but i'm not pulling a legendary bird anytime soon

Ancient Arrive Dragon

This design is so fucking good in so many ways. Man, it's cards like these that make me really wish there was an English (physical) version of Rush Duels. Anyway, I love how the cracked earth scales over this dragon's magma-like skin make it look reminiscent of a salamander. The spikes on its cheeks kinda look like gills (like an axolotl) too! Really though, I just love how crystalline all of the spiky protrusions of this guy look. Those wings would be 100% impossible to fly with, but damn if they don’t look impressive (and a little intimidating, honestly). The horn shape is so good too. Excellent color combo here that meshes perfectly with the background but doesn’t get completely lost in it.

Rating: 10/10
