After rejecting Faywild and leaving for the material plane to preach the word of their god, Thysania finds themself a travelling preacher. With no home to speak of, they travel the world to teach others of their religion.
They enjoy fine and delicate things such as intricately patterned clothes and lace. While generally preferring the company of insects to more inelegant folk, they are rather charismatic, especially when preaching.
quiet, soft, monotone.

I absolutely love ur art and reading ur thoughts abt the riptides! What do you think about chip?
VERY POG. love chip.
i didn't really like him at first, but after learning about his backstory and motifs and after all the changes he went through i like him a lot lot, he's so interesting to me, so alive.
chip has so many interesting themes and ideas and they're so consistent and clear, its just- augh. i think the one that absolutely breaks my heart is his selflessness and the amount of times he sacrificed something for his friends. especially because on the surface he looks like a covard that wouldn't think about risking his own skin over someone else's. but if its people he cares about - he will do everything in his power to keep them safe, and its so heartbreaking broooo.
like, the first time chip met lizzie and she told him about the war. the fact that it was lizzie, his old friend, his old family, asking to go against their mutual opresor, together. and he said no (!!!!!!), he said that he'll rather drop everything he's been fighting and living for, because he didn't want to put jay and gillion in danger, because he didn't want his friends to suffer and go through this, he was ready to leave everything, leave lizzie to her own devices, and just leave and go as far away as possible to protect them. SO. HEARTBREAKING. the fact that chip was acting so angsty around lizzie just because he wanted his friends to be safe.
that same arc actually-- signing the magical contract. talk about self sacrifice??? my guy risked signing his life away forever and ever just so his friends didn't have to. yes he had a plan, but he was fully ready to take the bullet for jay and gill, and he was fully ready to do it alone without even telling them.
edison's kingdom? giving away his finger to make a deal with a big shady guy, again biting the bullet for the whole team.
the entire goddamn price encounter????? he left, alone, didn't say anything to anyone, went into the base of a very dangerous guy, risked his life, almost lost his life. just so price wouldn't send more assassins after his friends. he went and dealt with this whole giant thing by himself.
the entirety of faywild that im not even gonna talk about because what the hell bro.
there's probably a lot more that i can't remember rn
i know that all three of the gang have the theme of self sacrifice going for them, but chip's just hits different for some reason...
and for the character growth. just, to compare chip who was so into this idea of being a pirate, of what he remembered as a kid, to chip who takes responsibility and cares about his crew and makes decisions. damn. gill said that chip is finally becoming his own person and i agree with that. like, both visually and emotionally chip grows and becomes someone unique. he's not a boy from the black rose pirates anymore, he's chip, he's a captain of the riptide pirates, his own life and his own crew. and even if this whole plot with maps and treasure and stuff continues, it doesn't feel like chip is in the shadow of a lost legacy anymore, it doesn't feel like chip is chasing ghosts and is in denial. it feels like that's something that chip wants to do as a person, as himself.

Ok, hi! So first off, I love your art. Very cool. Good job! Second, how would your pretzel AU work in the faywild? Yk, when pretzel gets stolen by the puppeteer? Just wanna know for my own angst writing porpoises.
-Spark
I just thought she’d essentially become a human pretzel-sized rag doll in the feywild lol and then she'd shrink into the itty bitty pretzel plush once they give her some fresh water,,,,

navy Edyn?????
Okay so guys do you remember when the Albatrio was in the Faywild and Chip spied on Edyn and saw her talking to one of Jay's relatives, a high ranking Navy official?
You know how like, a month ago in cannon-terms, Aslana and her mom were going to some big event were all the leaders of the undersea were gonna be there?
you know how when the crew went to the stronghold in the Black Sea tritons were being used as lab rats?
Do you guys see where I'm going with this???
if you don't, lemme point it out
Edyn was only around 11 or 12 when her baby brother was ripped from her arms, and she was forced to watch him gain scar after scar and wound after wound that sometimes she would have to sew up considering he hadn't learned healing magic yet
She was rarely allowed to see him, but when she was, he was growing distant and traumatized and terrified of the world around him, and it kept getting worse
So if you were in her shoes, having to watch your sibling go from this ball of energy and sunshine to this weaponized soldier you get to see every once in a blue moon, you'd probably be pretty upset
And upset is a heavy understatement
So what if, seeking revenge on the elders for what they did to Gillion, she had turned to the Navy/RAFT?
What if she had gotten some secret information from the undersea and she somehow had managed to get in?
What if she was working as a spy?
What if her, along with some of the other Ferins, were the ones who had arranged that gathering? What if she assisted in getting all of the victims in one place like lambs to slaughter?
Maybe she even killed the elders, right there and then. Maybe.
But personally, I don't think she'd stoop that low
Edyn is a kind person, and still has some morals, so I don't think she commit racewide genocide just because four tyrannical leaders did some really bad shit
So maybe she made a deal with the Navy, something that initially would have worked for both of them, in both of their favors, but the Navy had twisted it
Maybe the Navy had seen her offer and she had fallen like a chess piece right into their hands
Maybe she accidentally slaughtered more than 80% of the tritons in the undersea population
I don't even know if the elders are alive, I highly doubt it, and if they are they've most likely been replaced by dopples tbh
But still, I just now put the pieces together to form this really big web of farfetched theories and ideas

This is my character from the dnd campaign, whom I no longer play for, but for whom I still have warm feelings. Her name is Melody, and she is a fairy (she was originally a tiefling who grew up in Faywild, and then returned there and finally changed her profession).

*A Letter layes on the steps or your Shopwagon in the Morning*
To _____ Husband,
i may or may not have started several Wars in the Faywilds, i don't know if you have any alliances that are soon being called on or if they include any groups in your Realm.
I thought you at least deserved a warning.
Good luck.
-The Mighty Dalob
*a letter appears at the door to your room in the lair*
“Dear @the-mighty-dalob
I would like to kindly thank you for informing me of this great disaster. Luckily we are undetected as the war is happening three realms over from ours. As a thanks, I give onto you this house plant. Be warned it shrieks if not watered on time and is enchanted to never leave the lair. It also a a fire resistance enchantment courtesy of Jerry.
Hope you enjoy - Prince.”
*next to it is a w meter tall tropical houseplant that seams to grow baseball sized fruit. On it is a name plate.*
“Hello I’m rob, I hope you take care of me.”

Baldur's Gate 3 is almost here, so I needed to come up with a character to play with. But after a friend group agreed to play together now I need two characters.
Tumblr media
Gregor the Blackblade came first. His whole thing is that he grew up on the streets and used his quick talking to get himself out of sticky situations. Eventually he lands a job as a performance fighter where he actually learns how to use a sword and make a living. He'll be for the group playthrough
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Second is Mathias, aka Matty. He is actually a character that I've already made but in his original form. This Matty is an archfey warlock whose job is to smuggle magical artifacts for his parton. In the future after people were hurt by one of the artifacts he sold, he turn against his parton. As punishment he's stripped of magic, turned into a satyr, and abandoned in the Faywilds. There he becomes a rogue in search of a way to get his magic back. The whole thing is a bit much for BG3 but I think it makes a good prequel.

Faewild?
I'm going to like... Very lay men's terms. This is because D&D lore is very complex but.... In D&D, there are multiple planes of existence. One of which is the Faywild, a topsy turvy world where faerie folk come from. Time is warped there, emotions are high and harder to control. Everything seems to be amplified there. It is very beautiful and magical. But it is dangerous because of it.
I have seen concepts similar to it in other media, but that is the gist of it.

You know all those "dark" retelling of fairy tales and Disney princesses? Yeah, they've got nothing on Fearne. They can't even dream of the perfect vibes Fearne and her Faywilde friends send off.
(Dr. Nesbitt's voice is an experience)
