Top 8 NOTPs

For a lovable anon. So, you already know my Top 8 guilty/favorite ships. But if you were to bribe me with Warcraft content, what ships am I going to throw at your head if you happen to go anywhere near me with them? This list wasn’t easy. Mainly because I deal with any kind of NOTPs by not thinking about them. So I often realize I have them.

8. Nathanos Blightcaller/Sylvanas Windrunner - I just... prefer seeing Sylvanas with Lor’themar. But other than this, I haven’t got much of a reason to dislike this ship. Sometimes even I cannot excuse my feelings with logic.

7. Azshara/Tyrande Whisperwind - A) Tyrande is married. B) Azshara is a bitch and should stay forever melon.

6. Archimonde/Kil’jaedan/Velen - Portrayal of friendship? Sure, fine with me. Enemies when velen doesn’t join the Legion? All cool. Sleeping together? Hell no. No, no nope. I’m out of here.

5. Kael’thas Sunstrider/Illidan Stormrage - It was political union. Only political union. And it crashed horribly.

4. Khadgar/Medivh - To be fair, I read Khadgar as an ace, but that’s just me. I am usually okay with him portrayed in relationships. Just... not this one. Leave this one purely mentorship and friendly, okay? Thank you.

3. Deathwing/Other dragons - Neltharion has Sintharia. Be nice to other dragons, leave them unharmed.

2. Garrosh Hellscream/Varian Wrynn - Firstly, it doesn’t make much sense to me. Secondly, it can’t be anywhere near healthy and it doesn’t get more interesting than angry punching. Third things third, Varian is mourning for Tiffin.

1. Underage and familycest of any kind - Anduin younger than on Cata should be left alone (and even then be gentle and careful). The Stormrage brothers aren’t going to have any kind of “bed brotherly bonding”. Same goes for the Bronzebeard trio. And Moira with them, dear mother of god, people. No. Over my dead cold body folk. Over my dead cold body.

Honorable Mention: Arthas Menethil/Jaina Proudmoore - I acknowledge this was never meant to be a good and healthy relationship. Not in this timeline, anyway. But it could have been written well and interesting. The two things that killed this ship for me, though, was the fact this relationship was used poorly as a terrible plot device, and the Christie Golden wrote The Rise of the Lich King. And I mean, I am quite the bookworm and read anything you give me... But even I recognize that Christie Golden wasn’t meant to portray relationships, or write books for that matter. Arthas/Jaina could have been a great ship, a complicated disaster, but the way it is written feels forced and not real.
