Favorite Jaune Ship

Okay, let me do this. My Jaune ships. Other ships I’ll do later.

Lancaster/SilverKnight (Jaune x Ruby);

This ship still holds a special place in my heart and to me was supposed to be one of the factors of the show. Jaune and Ruby's relationship started at Beacon. Jaune was Ruby’s first friend and was the first thought of being a part of a team besides her sister. Unfortunately, she was stuck with Weiss and Jaune had a crush on her. Ruby has times when she and Jaune talk but were always cut short for reasons. However, after the fall of Beacon, I was happy to see her and Jaune team up. But my hopes were short-lived when Weiss and Oscar came onto the scene. Now, because of them, the one relationship I could support died because the story tries its damndest to push Whiteknight and Rosegarden together. (Like seriously, this is one of the reasons why I hate Oscar to this day. Volume five, to this day, I believe Jaune should have unlocked his semblance for Ruby instead of Weiss.)

DragonKnght/GoldenKnight/DragonSlayer(Jaune x Yang);

Now normally this is a crack ship. This ship is just two people boning for almost no reason, but I can see a story behind this ship with Jaune and Yang being an alternate version of Tai and Raven. Jaune is Raven because both  have supportive semblances, use swords, and have a distaste for Ozpin’s methods. Yang is Tai due to mainly being raised by him alone. Throughout the story, we see how Jaune and Yang interact and how their relationship differs from Tai and Raven’s. How Tai and Raven fell apart and what they should’ve done to maintain it. How Jaune and Yang handle situations differently they’ll always find a way to bounce back by talking it out and giving each other space. Though I believe Bumblebee fans would be offended and probably say, “Blake could add that same effect”, I still stand by this.

SilentKnight(Jaune x Neo)

Cute, deadly, and very sad. I haven't read the book but I have heard about it. Also, I wish they made a movie starring her or gave us an episode but… okay. Back on topic, I find this ship enduring. They have only one thing in common but that's enough to create a dynamic between them. However what makes the ship sad is that Neo will be the only one hurt. Image Neo trying to be Ruby just to be with Jaune only for him not wanting to be with her. Loving and caring for Ruby more than Neo. Neo hates and becomes jealous of Ruby because unlike her Neo has no friends. Roman died. And Cinder betrayed her. Jaune probably being the best thing in her life but she will never have. So sorry folks, Silentknight was a no-go.

Topaz (Jaune x Emerald)

Same as Silent Knight except it's Emerald’s loyalty to Cinder getting in the way of her having any relationship with anyone. Jaune probably would talk to her but trusting her could be too much of a stretch for him. Emerald might as well be one of the few who could talk to Jaune one-on-one and be real with him but still, I don't think neither of them is looking to like each other.

Knightshade (Jaune x Blake)

These two never had a single one-on-one conversation. Like really they barely interact with each other. I would not be surprised if they both got drunk somewhere and were found sleeping in the same bed by accident. But I believe they are good friends.

Knightfall (Jaune x Cinder)

Okay, this can go either way. Jaune is done playing the good guy to a bunch of girls who are favored by everyone and want to destroy the world. Cinder decides to be a good person and wants to redeem herself. I highly doubt this would happen but I love the concept. Imagen Jaune has to tell Cinder to chill out all the time. Then having to be the most patient with her especially when following a plan. Cinder trying to be nice but pushing her feelings down so she doesn't show weakness is funny, sad, and insane.  

Martial Arc and Nora's Arc(Jaune x Ren x Nora)

You two do not deserve him. You had four volumes to talk with this man but you didn't. Ruby knows your leader better. Yang treats your leader better. Shit Weiss treated your leader better. Ya’ll barely maintain a relationship with each other. How will you two be in a relationship with this guy if you can't contribute or commit to it? F*** the both of you.

Whiteknight(Jaune x Weiss)

Okay, now this may be my f*** all worst ship. First, I’ll admit Jaune was just a fanboy seeing his female idol for the first time in real life. But as he continues he eventually gets over her a bit. Then in some way, he does try to get with Pyrrha, who was an upgrade. What I don't like about this ship is unlike Lancaster it feels forced. Like in volume five Weiss got stabbed by Cinder for no reason. It should have been Ruby considering Jaune traveled and spent more time with her than Weiss. And Cinder hates Ruby. Then in volume seven she basically used the man to get away from Bumblebee. And the only time she ever acknowledged this man was in volume nine when he turned out to be her favorite character in a story. I may be wrong but no, this is not my favorite.

Jaune/Fallen Angel!Pyrrha: *reuniting with Nora and Ren in Vacuo*

Ren: …Jaune…? 🥺

Nora: …and…Pyrrha?! 😭

JNPR: *tearful team hug* 😭

Ren: We thought you died!

Nora: But you’re both back! And Pyrrha, you’re an angel! Only with black wings…?

Fallen Angel!Pyrrha: *wrapping her wings around her team for extra hugging power* Yes…it’s a long story…I’m just so happy to see you again…! 🥹

Valkyrie watching over Nora: Can I get a supervisor over here?!

Jaune: Lousy at- Listen here, bitch! I SAW what you did! My fucking toddler nephew can lie better than you can! I saw you shove two aces up your sleeve! Everybody saw you do it! You weren't even subtle about it!

Ren: He's right. I saw you shoving cards up your short-sleeves.

Nora: You guys are crazy! I would never do something like that!

Jaune: I just s- YOU LOOKED ME IN THE EYES WHEN YOU DID IT! You just had that vacant stare on your face, like you always do, and you slowly put the cards into your sleeve like nobody would notice! HOW ARE YOU GOING TO SIT THERE AND TELL ME YOU DIDN'T DO IT?!

Nora: ...I have no idea what you're going on about. Now, if you're done having your tantrum, it's my turn~. Let's see...

Nora: (Gasps) Look! A full house! Well, I guess it's just not your lucky day, boys~.

Jaune: Unbelievable... I have no words. Why do we even let her play cards with us?

Solitude - Seraph Valkyr

i feel like i see a lot of people praising nora’s “be strong and hit stuff” moment in volume 8 and i’m like??? no!!!!! that’s not supposed to be something we’re cheering on!! she is reducing herself to having one personality trait and was left with scars b/c of it. yeah, she's badass but that wasn't the takeaway you were supposed to have from that scene?? she is so much more than someone who can "hit stuff." she was operating under the assumption that that's all she is, and that was quite literally self-destructive for her. that's the entire reason she's being set up to have an arc outside of her relationship with ren; so she can find out more about herself

Valekyr stares at the proffered purifying triangles. Her expression radiates disgust, affronted by Step's sheer audacity, and she's quick to slap away his waiting hand.

"Excuse me?" Valekyr hisses with barely contained rage, "Absolutely NOT." "You have the gall to demand I dismantle my empire all for some silly little competition?" She barks out a laugh, rolling her eyes over-exaggeratedly, "I'd sooner chop off my horns - I forfeit this activity." One of the gaggle of spectators - Valekyr's Player Square and Sad Cube in one, Cherrin - rushes forward to grab at Valekyr's arm, "Vale, wait!" She implores, "You can't quit now, everyone would be so disappointed!" "And I should care why?" "W-well, um..." Cherrin stammers for a moment for a reason as Valekyr shakes her off, and she stumbles back a step to stand beside Step, "Uh- ignoring that- it's not like it's the actual Paradise even though you really should purify our home too it's just a replica - it's not like it matters that much... Right?" She clasps her hands together pleadingly, "Just do it, Vale! Pleeeeaaassee?" "Tch, I already told you I won't-"

"UGH. Fine..." Valekyr very wisely decides lest she face her Mun's wrath, allowing Step to place the small bag in her very unwilling hand at long last, Cherrin cheering at her cooperation. It's a short trek to wherever the various replica Paradises were being stored. They enter the Merged Fates AU duplicate high above the land on one of the many floating islands, and Valekyr takes a second to look out over the copy of her empire.

Clouds blot the pale yet eternally darkened sky above, the seas running pink. Dotting the air is several floating landmasses, seemingly ripped from the dying land below cut up into mountainous archipelagos. It was messy and half-barren where the land was too low for the broken Tree's power to reach, but it was home. A place Valekyr had nurtured into her perfect empire. And now, she was expected to revert it back to how it was. She takes a breath. It wasn't actually her home. It's just a replica. Everything was fine. This would be fine. Tensely, she opens the little pouch of triangles she'd been so lovingly gifted, shaking a few out into her hand. They were such small things... Could they really purify an entire world? Well, there was only one way to find out. She clenches the triangles in her hand, infusing them with her will - her wish for restoration - and scatters them into the wind. They sparkle like shooting stars as they fall, and for a moment it seems as though they'd simply fall into the rivers below. Then their descent slows, glow growing brighter as they hover in place for a moment then disperse, zipping past all the island and turning anything they grace with their glow from dull pinks to vibrant blues and greens. Large craters and lakes had formed below or a little ways away from each island held aloft with corrupted power, and after the first island crashes to the ground with a series of horrible quakes Valekyr rushes to return the rest to their original places much more gently before her corruption could fully fade from them. Ever so slowly, the land below becomes whole again. With everything brought back to the earth, the path of the triangles was made much more obvious - life sprung beneath their lights, reviving the barren wastes. A ways behind them, towards the center of the island, a towering palace crumpled like paper to Valekyr's forced wish and a city rose from the rubble in it's place. Finally, towering above it all, Valekyr's very own prismatic version of the Tree of Life regrew anew. Tears rolled down Valekyr's cheeks as she witnesses her worst nightmare, and her home is no more.

Battle of the Blixers - Challenge Three!

“Welcome back everyone to the Battle of the Blixers! Your host Step’s stomach is now feeling all good, so let’s get this show on the road!”

“So far we got fights and foods, but now let’s do something that needs a bit more effort… a redemption arc!”

“Your third challenge is to uncorrupt your Paradises, or whatever your worlds are called! I’ve prepared versions of your Paradises, and may have shrunken down some depending on their size, and all of them fully corrupted.

“I also prepared… These..! things.”

“Yeah, I don’t know what to call these, but they help uncorrupt stuff, so isn’t that neat?”

“Extra credit will be determined by how effective your uncorruption was, what do you think it would be?”

“As always, 120 Hours/5 Days to complete this challenge! I’m Step, this has been the Battle of the Blixers, and the challenge has begun! Good luck!”

“Oh yeah, by the way, I asked for your Reference Images last time, since I need them for a future challenge, and only some have given theirs, so if you haven’t yet, please give them to me! It can be given with your submission too, so no rush!”
