King Midas au

The curse of king Midas is well known, but it isn't just him who was cursed with the golden touch

When Gavin turned 18 when he discovered everything he touched turned to gold. He left his family and wound up in Las Santos and came across a crew that took him in and didn't question the gloves he wore cause they wore the same thing

Geoff learned in his 20s that everything he touched turned to ash, he left his family fearing their safety. It took years for him to find gloves that don't disintegrate when he wears them. After ending up in Las Santos, he ended up finding more people with similar gloves

Jack was the first person who met Geoff when he came to the city. He learned about his ability at 20 and at first he didn't notice, he just assumed he had a green thumb. Until he turned his bed into a bush. He wears a pair of garden gloves that are covard in moss

Michael learned when he was 18, its pretty easy to notice when everything you touch burns, he accidently set his house on fire and ran off ending up in Las Santos, the gloves he wears are always smoldering at least a little

Lindsay learned when she was 18 that everything she touched blew up like a firecracker. Scared the shit out of her when she first did it now she wears gloves that pop every time she snaps

Jeremy was 17 when he realised everything he touched swap colours. He wasn't two freaked out by it, more mildly confused. He wears a pair of mismatched gloves that seem to swap everyday

Ryan learned when he was 19 that everyone he touches dies. It helps with his mercenary work, he wears fingerless gloves on his missions and a pair of leather gloves when they not

Matt learned when he was 17, and his game controller turned to a pile of sugar. It's part of why he eats so much sweets they don't disintegrate when he touched them. He wears a pair gloves when he's not eating though

Trevor was 17 when everything he touched turned silver, he ran to Las Santos afraid scientist would find him. He met up with Matt and Jeremy creating an odd crew of sorts. He wears a pair of silver gloves

Fiona learned when she was 16 that everything she touched froze like ice. You'd think shed be cold but she says she always feels hot. Half the time shed doesn't bother with gloves unless she has to meet someone or pet her dog so she doesn't give them frost bite

Alfredo is the only one who doesn't need gloves, its part of the reason he handles the more delicate jobs. When he first joined the crew he thought it was just a calling card or something

So I know a lot of people when writing Immortal AUs for the FAHC like to make Gavin Midas, and that’s totally rad! But what about Gavin who was a knight of King Arthur? Gavin who was part of the Round Table. Sir Gavin the Free that searched alongside Arthur, Galahad, Launcelot, Gawain, and others for the Holy Grail.

Gavin that gained his immortality as a “blessing” from God for completing some quest, and he threw away his knightly status when Arthur died because he knew the Round Table wouldn’t be maintained after his death.

Gavin living as a peasant for years and watching the friends he made die from the plague. Gavin who meets Jack and Geoff when he travels to France because he’s bored of England.

Imagine Gavin learning for the first time that people wrote stories about his king, that people didn’t realize Arthur was an actual person. Imagine him getting jealous over the fact that there aren’t any stories that include him and his knightly quests.

Gavin who still has all of his old knight armor and he keeps it secretly hidden in his closet because he’s worried that the others in the crew might make fun of him (even though he’s seen Jack still has her French Renaissance dresses)

Midas! Gavin rarely bleeds. Rarely on the front line. Rarely sees the sun.

He stays indoors, gloved and covered head to toe in gold woven silk and velvet and gleaming leather. Bed and sheets metallic and cold, uninviting.

No lights and blacked out windows to reduce any reflection. Locks on his door to ward off attention. There’s a price after all on the head of the boy who bleeds gold.

And he stays with them, the crew, because they’re all monsters too. They accept him, tolerate him. He knows they don’t want him for what he is or can do.

Okay but like the Vagabond just leaves the penthouse sometimes in the middle of the night. Nobody knows where he goes or why, and they didn't even know about it until Matt (who was absolutely up late playing video games) caught him one night and was like ??? Anyways, they think ofc that it's for some job or something scary. Really the dude just goes out looking for strays!! He spends all night bonding with lost pups and taking care of them!! It helps him relax :)

This is sort of a very obvious one but I wanted to include it: I do hc FAHC Jack as trans. She is a queen, best team mom.

After the whole SkyFac chicken fiasco with simple farmer Geoff, I feel like just normal MC!Geoff sometimes sees a chicken or something and feels this odd connection to it?? Maybe he's confused at first, but sooner or later he sort of just decides that he must like chickens. Though he isn't sure why they remind him of Millie 👀

So like, I always hear ppl talk about the FAHC Immortal AU, which is one of my faves, but is it me or do people never talk about the fact that there's totally an immortal au for the minecraft series as well?? Anyways, I adore that one just as much

I LOOOVE THE HC THAT THE GOLDEN BOY GOT HIS IMMORTALITY FROM MIDAS IN SOME WAY. IDK HOW, BUT I LOVE IT. BONUS POINTS IF HE BLEEDS GOLD.

I like to hc that the way Fiona joined the fahc is by beating one of them in a fight. Who? Michael. Absolutely Michael. And they've had a brother/sister dynamic ever since

Also this is another one that's pretty popular, but I really disliked Gavin's YDYD season 2 skin. Yknow, that abomination he was resurrected as lmao. It was hilarious in the video, but from an AU pov, I love the hc that he actually came back as a super creeper OR that the Tower possessed him some how so he's like this golden creeper monster thing?? I love iiit

Minecraft hc that The Twins have a tree house somewhere on the outskirts of town. It isn't hidden well at all, so when people show up (probably gav or Jeremy bc they followed them to it one day lol) Trev and Fredo both just yell at them and throw twigs and stuff until they leave. Nobody knows what they do up there or why they act so secretive, and there are a ton of rumors about it (a popular one that Lindsay started is "probably something gay") Really tho?? Those boys just vibe. It's their not-so-secret twins club. They just chill and maybe play board games lmao, whatev they feel like. Enhances their twin powers by 100000%

So you always hear about ppl like Ryan secretly loving and taking care of plants, right?? Here's my hc: it's not just Ry. It's Matt too. In both mc and gta. I feel like Matt would be in love with the idea of taking care of them on the side. Maybe he even has his own secret garden!! (Maybe he likes keeping them healthy because he has trouble keeping his own health on track??)

Jeremy and Lindsay are absolutely 100% the gossip group. Again, in both mc and gta au's. Team Lock and Load LOVE to stir shit up and start harmless rumors lmao. Just imagine them chilling, petting cats, and talking about how one of them thought they saw Gavin holding Michael's hand

OR.

The one where they’re all immortal and ~scattered across the world and when they reunite are likewise, “Wow, real subtle there, Gavin.”

Or, you know. The one where Gavin is the king formerly known as Midas and felt the military paint job didn’t have the right pizazz. (Look, idk either, it’s been a long, weird day and that video was pretty great, okay?)

OR the one where they Fakes are in a bind somewhere and someone (RYAN) calls in a favor when they need an airlift out and everyone’s expecting some tiny, beat up Cuban or a Luxor or something similar and turn around to see this goddamn gold Titan coming in for a landing.

Ryan sighing because wow, that’s going to keep them under the radar for sure, but hey, it’s that or get horribly murdered by the people after them. (Another crew, various law enforcement agencies, perhaps a little of column A, a little of column B.)

Inside the cargo hold is a veritable armory because Gavin was on a job of his own when Ryan called. Makes sure to mention it several times -look, Ryan, look - he’s willing to let them use the weapons and whatnot to defend the Titan if anyone pursues them because he can so be a team player, just look, RYAN.

Everyone thought that Alfredo had some sort of ability, and he didn't know what they meant until he saw Gavin turn his phone into solid gold

He didn't know how to bring up the fact that he was a normal person for a very long time

Ryan gives his skull mask to Jeremy for him to wear instead of whatever sad excuse for cover he shows up to the crew with (i imagine he’s using some horrific purple/orange bandana or literally a $2 plastic party mask smh)

Ryan befriending every snake and being the only one of the crew to remember each name (of course Jeremy’s named them all) bonus points because Ryan’s better friends with them than Jeremy is

THE SNAKES TICKLE HIS FACE WHEN THEY CUDDLE like ‘omg the boyfriend’s back’ so Jerm and Ry are spooning in bed or w/e and the snakes give him lil kisses on the nose and forehead

Okay but Blind!Ryan AU too like cmon

Ryan can communicate with the snakes almost as well as Jeremy can so they carry nearly silent conversations over the coms on heists or just in front of the crew in general and it’s weird and annoying but adorable

Let’s back it up k like Jeremy’s nervous and hesitant about asking Ryan out but the snakes are like 'no we can’t let him go’ so the snakes LITERALLY PEFORM MATING DANCES every time they see Ry and Jeremy’s so embarrassed but also thankful his crush is dense and doesn’t know much about snakes
