11 hours of drawing... I bring to you what has become one of my favorite pieces.
Tumblr media
Tiki, master swordsman.
Aka, my dungeon master has a new baby Indian Ringneck. Ive had all the pleasure of meeting tiki, and they are wonderful.
One of tiki's favorite activities is to swing pens around like swords, which is what birthed this idea.
Picture of the one and only below :)
Tumblr media
Included is a shitty stat block bc i dont know how to make stat blocks

Baldur's Gate 3: The Evil Experience
on the recommendation of @leupagus: My Very Special Evil Boy, Vexation. don't worry about the blood, it's a fashion choice.
Tumblr media
if you've been wondering how evil you can be in baldur's gate 3, wonder no more-- So Evil.
so beginning at the beginning, i of course chose the Dark Urge (obvious serial killer) origin, who is conveniently customizable, so i also made him Drow and a Lolth Worshipper and a Warlock (all of which has made him only marginally more evil, tbh, mostly the related dialogue options make him a smug bastard, although OCCASIONALLY this will give him a "hmm what if i enslaved you" option which people do indeed react to as if he's an evil maniac and they should flee and/or try to kill him. this goes great for them considering i'm the protagonist.)
i wake up on an illithid ship with no memories, as one does. i befriend a walking talking brain, by which i mean i lobotomize it so that i can more easily control and manipulate it, as one does. i may not know who i am, but i definitely know that i am powerful, mean, and more important than everyone here. also i have a great old one in my brain giving me eldritch blast, so the tadpole wriggling around in there seems normal. i crash the ship sort of accidentally and am set loose on my merry way to wrack the Sword Coast with terrible mayhem. probably. as soon as i figure out if i'm about to turn into a mindflayer.
the first sign of my uncontrollable evil mania was when i tried to talk to a squirrel in act one (actually, i tell a lie, the FIRST sign was when i was tempted to hack Gale's hand off instead of dragging him out of the portal he got stuck in, but i decided i needed a wizard more than a dismembered hand) and the narrator informed me i had been Gripped By A Compulsion and promptly dropkicked the squirrel into a tree. it died, obviously. i was given the option to decide if i cared about this and decided that my opinion was a frankly inappropriate level of malicious glee considering the heights from which i, clearly child of murder, have obviously fallen to get amnesia and get tadpoled and fall out of the sky on a dying illithid spaceship. anyway this set me up for Being Maximally Deranged, however there is No Karma Meter or any equivalent system to MEASURE your evil or limit your dialogue options-- i have free reign at all times, i COULD decide that suddenly i'm going to be a Repentant Murderer, i can do Nice Things if i want the reward or the exp or i am exercising my single scintilla of compassion accidentally inculcated by my eventual three simultaneous romances (one of which is with the mindflayer who lives in my brain/an artifact stopping ME from becoming a mindflayer. this game is so horny, very classic dnd "i roll to romance the villain". except i am also the villain.) at this point i have no romances, though-- at this point my companions watch me kick a squirrel to death and their collective response is "well… that seemed… excessive."
i also have the option to tell every single one of them individually that i am driven by a blood mania to murder and destruction. opinions of this range from "well admitting you have a problem is the first step!" to "that's nice, just point it at the enemy instead of ME". no one seems appropriately concerned about this. they'll learn.
anyway the next sign of my uncontrollable evil mania is that when i decided to be nice to a bard for no reason and she showed up at our next long rest to Join The Party (oh we do get a bard companion, that's nice, i said, like a fool.) i promptly murdered her in the night. as in i woke up covered in blood with her corpse ritually slaughtered at my feet and said "hm. probably shouldn't let anyone else find out i did this" and then sulked when no one gave me proper respect and rewards for murdering her. fortunately the next day my Evil Butler materialized to do just that, and proved he wasn't a figment of my imagination by giving me an Evil Cloak that lets me turn invisible everytime i murder someone. i spend the next half an act or so convinced i'm going to slowly kill off my party, but fortunately i develop the ability to control myself. now i only murder when I WANT to murder.
the rest of act one i am SORT OF a good boy-- i do deliberately get a child killed but i don't PERSONALLY kill her, i get a druid's snake to do it, so does it really count against MY soul? yes but only me and daddy bhaal know it so i am able to continue playing Goody Two Shoes for the rest of the act. (i don't know he's my daddy yet, but like… i know it. i, the player, know it. in my soul. i've played these games before.) delightful fallout, my child murder gets the druid killed after i Helpfully Save The Tieflings by telling the opposing force i'll totally help them break in and kill them all, then betraying them at the last minute. i kill so so so many goblins. i get an inspiration point for how many goblins i kill. goblins are still sentient. It's Still Murder.
act two, however, empowered by all my Blood And Chaos, i turn over a new leaf. sure sure being lauded by the tieflings was fun and all, but i do somewhat regret not killing EVERYONE. i'll do better this time. this shadow-cursed hellscape is really vibing with me. it's also trying to eat me every time i'm not carrying a magic lamp but you can't win 'em all. i pretend that i'm with the antagonists (can you call them villains when I'M the villain?) so i can get their lamp. it's carried by a drider who does not appreciate my sincere compliments about how beautifully fucked up he is. his loss, i'm down to fuck anyone. i'm already fucking a githyanki and a vampire spawn.
when i get to the Big Bad Tower where supposedly they'll know about my tadpole, i discover they know something WAY MORE IMPORTANT: who the fuck i am. everyone here recognizes me. no one will tell me anything. several of them are appropriately terrified. this is infuriating but also promising. the Big Bad is a smug dick and i want to eat his heart raw. i daydream about this.
my butler arrives to tell me if i murder a Special Girl i'll get a treat. i like treats and i LOVE murder so i go looking for her. she's maintaining a Magic Selenite Moon Shield over the single not-shadow-cursed place here, which i hate on principle-- also it's a harper outpost and i hate them too, they'd probably disapprove of murder. some rando minion with wings drops in to tell me the Big Bad of the region wants to kidnap her (ALIVE, he specifies) so obviously i now double want to kill her. i kill her in one round. the magic shield collapses. EVERYONE dies (including the tieflings i saved in act one! full circle.) and then i kill their shadow-cursed undead corpses again, for good measure.
my treat is getting to turn into the slayer. i KNEW i was a bhaalspawn.
Tumblr media
behold my true glorious visage. (with blep.) my only complaint is that i can only become this hulking death machine once per long rest. it is, however, not a turn-limited form, i can stay in it Forever if no one kills me as long as i'm willing to Just Murder No Talking. also it has a spectacular ladder-climbing animation, this bitch goes down ladders face-down like a lizard, i love him.)
anyway i don't go back to the Big Bad Tower bc presumably they'll be mad about the dead girl (i'm guessing she's Big Bad's dead daughter miraculously resurrected. i'm totally right by the way.) but the last time i was there i got a quest to find the Big Bad's Relic, which is obviously his phylactery or something since he's got a whole death aesthetic-- after a whole Temple of Shar sequence it turns out his phylactery is a captive aasimar actually. my companion wants to murder her for shar-related reasons, so i give her the go-ahead since i don't have any SPECIAL reason to kill her myself. my companions should get to be evil occasionally too.
with his phylactery dead, it's pretty easy to mow through the Big Bad Tower, especially since i can now turn into the Death Machine. i don't have to talk to anyone here. i can Just Murder.
nearly kill the Big Bad but he flees to his basement, where it turns out there's an mindflayer colony, big deal, we've all got tadpoles in our brains (i've been eating other tadpoles for extra power along the way, because of course i have) okay fine it's a slightly big deal bc there's an elder brain here that my Special Mindflayer Friend is shielding us from whatever. it's under the control of the Big Bad who's death aesthetic turns out to be that he's the Chosen of Myrkul, and also here are reps of the other Dead Three, Bane and My Daddy. i hate bhaal's chosen on sight, as is traditional for a bhaalspawn. i will murder her someday. i will murder her SO GOOD.
unfortunately she and the baneite fuck off with their elder brain to lay siege to baldur's gate while i'm daydreaming about it, so for now all i get to murder is Big Bad Myrkul Edition. moderately satisfying. he turns in an Avatar of Myrkul in the second half but i destroy him so quickly he doesn't even get to regenerate with the hojillion corpses in the area. nobody murders like vexation.
off to baldur's gate to save the city/get bigger hunting grounds!
i do cure the shadow curse on my way out though, because i'm never coming back and i've left the place a blighted wasteland, why not, it gets me a pet druid.
there's also some drama with githyanki and vlaakith, as usual, turns out the Rebel Prince Orpheus is actually how my particular mindflayer (who is finally revealing that he's a mindflayer, a thing i have suspected all along because of all the psychic shit he does) is doing the shielding, etc. etc. also i let my mindflayer boyfriend turn me in a half-illithid, which means i get no tentacles but a BUNCH of new mindflayer powers to make me an even better murderer. can't wait to see who wins in the tug-of-war for my mind, body, and soul--the illithids, my great old one beyond the stars, a devil who keeps trying to get my attention, my vampire boyfriend who wants to ascend to vampire god, or Murder Daddy. my bet is murder daddy.
anyway we get to baldur's gate, where i break in bc i don't want any guards to know i'm here-- just jumped and flew my way up the side of the bridge past the checkpoint. easy peasy now that i have illithid flight powers on command no cooldowns just Psychically Levitate wherever i want to go. also i can turn into a displacer beast. that's right, i now have to option to become TWO DIFFERENT terrifying horror beasts and rip through mobs like papier-mache. my patron really needs to keep up, warlock powers are falling behind. (no they aren't, i've hit level 10 and can now eldritch blast three times in one round and every hit knocks enemies back and terrifies them. i'm gonna chew this city up and swallow it one bite.)
however, first thing when i get into the citadel: the baneite is being coronated Archduke, bc of course he is. so i head up to see if there's a chance to murder him and a room full of peers, BUT. for the first time EVER-- this little shit is willing to tell me Who I Am. Assassin of Bhaal, former high priest of His Temple, and ONE OF THE INVENTORS OF THIS CONQUEST PLAN. that little bhaalite chosen is my bhaalspawn sister (obviously) who fucking tadpoled me, gave me amnesia, and discarded me before making sure my corpse was cold. this will be a mistake! FOR HER.
in the meantime the baneite wants me to know that he is a big fan of mine, would i like to murder my sister since i already murdered the myrkulite, and then he and i can rule this city together with an iron grip and a blood knife, since he's sure he'll have a lot of use for an assassin as a tyrant. mind-reading and my brain-illithid agree that he is actually on the level about this, at least for the moment, so of course i agree. i will rule this city. and then i will murder him. and then i will murder EVERYONE. in THE WORLD.
so now i'm hunting the current chosen of bhaal so i can kill her and steal her place-- my butler is sending me divine visions of it, SHE can't turn into the slayer, i am evil daddy's favourite. she's also kidnapped one of my companions and is threatening to kill her if i show up but i care about that less.
and that's where i am so far! will report on Future Evils.

✦'Between Heaven & Hell'✦
Tiny Bit of art journey online share
✦ Before my socials kinda got messed up (and i had to restart and start anew), My tweeter acc. started finally going a lil' bit more popular with this one piece. After this one, it kinda started building up before i started to exp. a collapse. P.s. Lots of people gave comments how this piece feels like it came out from Innistrad MTG unniverse. But its when i actually started to get more known as Dark Fantasy Artist with very often old school DnD vibes.
✦ Now that i created Tumblr, i wish to try focusing this one with growth.. Still trying to figure out what people enjoy and like so it would get supported or attraction so to say.. But of course, not only me pleasing people, but kinda keep a healthy relationship between me and audience if you understand? The balance between what i wish to express and say trough the mediums i enjoy while people see value as well innit. Hopefully you will like to embark on this art journey with me and perhaps share and spread the word ? Giving a well deserved breakfast, i mean push to your fav. artist is always a well respected Noble deed =)) ( Dang, i often feel stuck with thoughts if perhaps these illustrations i create is no more enjoyed by people or its just the algorithm doing its thing?)
✦ I have few more pieces that where kinda almost going viral over on Reddit with few thousands likes/upvotes and somehwere around hundred thousand views me thinks if i recal (Before reddit became messed up as well) and one of those pieces are:
✦ 'The Necromancer Queen, Katja' ✦
Tumblr media
And ✦' Spear of Awakening' ✦ (A rather special piece this one for me as it is inspired by my Spiritual Awakening journey and a bit by Failed Romance Story, so it has lots of enlightening insights that comes with some inner wisdom and quite a bit of pain in heart, personal suffering, ego struggle kind of thing, tears, unsleeping nights and all of that that comes with it..)
Tumblr media
✦ Few more pieces i have that where building up the momentum, some i already shared but perhaps with not so much writing. Will save it for other time if this post at least gets some recognition, otherwise it would be like me Shooting in the plain Dark so Why bother then, right? For the last, I left a kofi link on the first illustration piece for the interested, where i offer 50% discount to the first few commissioners (You have to be the guild member for that hefty discount, after you become one, discount should be applying automatically if you where to click on a commission button) as well as few Free artworks to the members of my kofi guild page. But regardless would be awesome to just see you there, follow the page and spread the word if you already have a Kofi acc. (or just create one, its easy and simple), that also helps greatly, you've no idea~!
✦ Would love to also mention that you can see there that i love teaching, sharing art tips and anything related about art (Praise the never ending Creation) and entertaining, so streaming on Twitch comes natural to me. I will share one small Clip from Twitch here:
twitch_clip
✦ Hope you Enjoyed a bit of blogging with few Artwork pieces and that you find it worthy of sharing, let me know in the comments if you wish for more of the art with text on my Tumblr acc.? Do you like my Kofi page? And should you perhaps embark on Creative Chill Streams of mine?

Dungeons and ponies
(Disclaimer : There is a lot of reading here but there is also drawings, the drawings are lower in the post so don't hesitate to jump straight to it to avoid the blabbering) Since uni is kicking my behind (well, that and a good old bad cold), I put a hiatus on Shuffled (and have been for a while already). But that's not the subject of this post ! So, Dungeons and Dragons ! The most known system of roleplay than most fan of the genre have played at least once, right ? Not me. I have only played homemade systems since before I could read. But I am a big fan of DnD redesigns and love memes so, what did I do after watching some redesigns on youtube? Well, of course, I drew the pillars ! And since I can't do anything simply, I linked them all to two classes and made a few indications for stats and an idea for a small system to represent the elements. So a few explainations then drawings ! Each pillars are linked to 2 classes (I also have ideas for the mane 6 (7?) but I haven't drawn them yet, dunno if I will) depending of their stories (in the serie and in the comics) and what I felt like doing. Each pillars are linked to a "virtue", virtues are pretty much the equivalent of the elements but there is seven of them and are made to be "usable" for both generation. The concept of virtue is : each virtue corresponds to an ability (for example : faith would rise the critical sucess rate for difficult actions). A virtue being in a party will act on all members of it, having multiple time a virtue will reinforce its effect (two faith would lower the failure rate necessary for an action to be thought as difficult for example) and different virtues would stack on the party (if you have a faith and a diligence, both effects will act on the whole party). If you have six or more of the different virtue, once by session you could use the friendship rainbow lazer. For the stats, since I'm too lazy to try and figure out what level everypony would have, searching how exp works and all, instead there are 5 level existing : low-, low, medium, high, high+. low- is you are pretty much unable to do anything using this stat. Low is lower than the average adult pony. Medium is average. High is higher than average. High+ is "hello I'm pretty much a genius in this field". The pillars have a mean to medium where the mane 6 (and Stygian) would have a mean at low. Now drawings !
Tumblr media
Starswirl is a wizard (pretty obvious why) and a bloodhunter ! To make a very gross summary a bloodhunter is someone who used pretty... unsavory rituals to achieve very powerful blood-related magic (generally in the goal of beating up bad guys). In this, I consider than Starswirl became one to reach stronger magics to fight against the monsters who roam during their times (that far before even meeting the alicorn sisters). I also imagine him now half regretting his choice but also being of the mind of "better me than someone else". His virtue is curiosity. (Also a thing I thought while thinking about it (I will try to keep it short) : isn't it funny than he thought than Stygian was trying to steal the power of the pillars but his last spell, when corrected, allows the caster to reach alicornhood by using the power of 5 other individuals? Imagine the twist it would have been if Starswirl had originally made the spell to become an alicorn (and so immortal) and planned to put the rest of the pillars in limbo until finding a way to make them immortal too to "protect equestria forever". Like, Stygian would have been silent and shocked cause he was in fact sent by Starswirl to make preparatory diagnostics check-up but was thrown under the bus when some of the pillars realized their missing stuff. (Funnily enough, seeing how high in society Starswirl was, even if he planned to keep Stygian, it would have been easy for him to get guards to capture him back so it would barely be annoying for him to have to let Stygian run off). Like during part of the finale, everyone thinks the problem is Stygian taking the artifacts for one thing or another and then you learn than Stygian thought he was allowed since Starswirl asked him to do it and accepted the shadows due to feeling betrayed (possibly even accepting them to escape Starswirl). And I'm beginning to spiral in possibilities soooo next character ! (also, link of the wizard reference : https://www.lolailo.co.uk/ravenloft-chapter-fourty-four-the-journey-back-to-an-illusion/ )
Tumblr media
Rockhoof is a paladin (of the Mighty Helm) and a barbarian ! And his dexterity is low due to a certain episode and charisma has ended up low cause it was the only thing I could lower when I realized his mean was high. His virtue is diligence ! And ref of the viking palading : https://www.deviantart.com/rathnos/art/Ziggeroy-The-Viking-Paladin-or-Vikadin-563177921 .
Tumblr media
Mistmane is a sorcerer (cause her magic is too important for her to not have a magic related class and I thought than wizard was better for Starswirl) and a druid (before thinking for this, I hadn't fully realized how much she is linked to plants). Her virtue is charity ! And old ponies are hard to draw x'DD
Tumblr media
Somnambula is a bard and a monk ! And I tried two color palets cause I wondered how she would look with Ankha's color palet. Her virtue is Faith !
Tumblr media
Meadowbrook is an artificer (mainly for the potion making) and ranger (partially cause Mistmane already had the bard part and also because, Meadowbrook doesn't really have the link with animals and plants I generally imagine druids having? If that makes sense?). Her virtue is Mercy !
Tumblr media
Flash Magnus is a fighter (I originally thought to make him a paladin before thinking than Paladin of The Mighty Helm sounded too good to pass) and a rogue (originally cause I thought it funny since his "elemental descendant" is the element of loyalty) ! His virtue is Bravery (yes, I know, imagination 10/10)
Tumblr media
Stygian is a Cleric (just thought it would be cool for him to have become it to help the pillars) and a Warlock (pretty obvious that one). Yes I imagine him having two patrons pretty much opposite. Just cause I think it would make for very funny interactions with Stygian and both patrons. His virtue is caution. I tried to make the post veeeeeeery quick and short so plz don't hesitate to send ask if interested in this xDD May do the mane 6 and/or young 6 one day. Or not. Idk yet? Will take a while either way so have a nice daaaay !

So uhh
Holy symbols for the vault gods?
A blade plunging into a skull for Idona
A clock cracked in twain for Wendarr
An XP bottle(?) for I can't remember the name, the exp one
Idk the "kill the enemies" god and Wendarr are only two I can immediately think of something off the top of my head.
But like, imagine carrying around a pendant in the shape of the symbol of the Vault God you are most devoted to, grasping it in both hands and holding it to your chest in silent prayer before throwing yourself face first into a bad decision; like a cleric or paladin in dnd. Idk I just really love what you can do with the idea of religious symbols in a fantasy setting
few thoughts here:
THOUGHT ONE: vault idols are sort of like holy symbols, right? completing a shrine with the idol for that god makes you more likely to receive favor for that god, sure, but also they’re literally in the shape of the gods. those are definitely some kind of holy symbol I think.
THOUGHT TWO: similarly the gods have a color scheme; I think you could do something with wearing the right colors/painting your symbols in the right colors. (red for idonna, blue for tenos, yellow for wendarr, green for velara.)
THOUGHT THREE: maybe something more like a page or a book for tenos? alternately, a four-leaf clover; while his name and your sacrifice implies “knowledge”, his boons actually seem to have more to do with luck, which is an interesting conflation of things to think about. maybe a shield or a cadecus for velara; something related to velara’s role as the one you give vitality to in order to get vitality from. wendarr’s most obvious; his holy symbol would probably be some kind of clock, or if not that, a celestial body to similarly represent time.

what is your fave thing about Adrian Chase (Peacemaker version obvs)
what is your fave thing about Bruce Wayne (Battinson version)
okay this made me very happy to answer, so THANK YOU but also I’M SORRY because there are 500 words under the cut asjdhjlasbkhf
also i love that you asked abt these two together. everyone who's like, "i'm gonna put adrian and battinson in a jar and SHAKE" are on the money!! it would be a funny dynamic because (ignoring the fact that the batman isn't part of the dceu) if battinson and vigilante are contemporaries, then adrian is canonically older than bruce wayne and has at least two more years of exp in crimefighting than bruce.
ANYWAY tl;dr because i treated this like a short answer essay on a midterm
adrian has difficulties discerning what the so-called “right thing” to do is, but by god, he will put his whole pussy into it once he figures it out <3
batman's early years have always been nothing but a glorified, over-funded temper tantrum, but with battinson, it’s all soooooo embarrassing because vigilantism is also one of his many attempts at therapizing - and the riddler could see that from a mile off!!!
adrian adrian adrian <3 i think my favourite thing abt adrian is summed up by his feelings abt the 🧜‍♂️ emoji!! according to chris, “[adrian] says it’s holistic,” which is so sweet imo, but i think it also speaks to how he logically pieces things together. he’s depending on others to derive meaning from the context in which he’s using the merman emoji. and i think that’s how he wants to see himself in relation to others - like he’s part of a larger picture!!
i think that’s why he’s always performing acts of service for others (ie collecting FOUR YEARS’ worth of appliances, “do you want me to drive you to the prison to see your dad,” sniping kids, offering to infiltrate the farm with the sonic boom helmet, etc etc) because the purpose of his role is explicit in those situations.
the disconnect (and the most intriguing thing) lies in his own inability to pick up on context and nuance, so it results in a lot of impulsive/contradictory behaviour or doing something without fully understanding why. like, asking if they have a warrant to search glan tai, but the following episode, he’s just..... murdering cops willy-nilly. or being down to kill racists but still using the term oriental. or not gunning for peacemaker’s dad because he’s a white supremacist, but rather, because leota says he’s a good man and auggie is a bad man - and adrian knows what a good man ought to do!
(which btw, idk if adrian even tells chris about doing this, but it’s fun to think that adrian isn’t above lying to his bff)
OKAY ANYWAY YEAH - my favourite thing abt adrian is how the headlines will one day read “ADRIAN CHASE TRIES TO DO THE RIGHT THING, 23 INJURED, 9 DEAD”
(not to keep ranting but also i think it’s why the detail about adrian being into dnd is also very cute!! i see headcanons about adrian being a dm, but respectfully, i disagree!! i think he loves having an alignment chart to dictate the behaviour of his character(s), and explicitly knowing who is an ally (re: the party), and the goal-oriented nature of campaigns)
BATTINSON!!! my favourite thing about this iteration of batman is just... FINALLY we are seeing just how undignified batman’s early years are, and how selfish bruce’s intentions for becoming batman are.
i LOVE it when characters look at who they're in conflict with and can see that under different circumstances, their roles may very well be reversed. the thing about battinson is that villains can look at him and think the same thing. imagine being clocked by the riddler as a fellow madman. like, okay!! time to reevaluate brucie baby!!!
i’m sorry and i love you if you read all this

The Gamer Hero, Deku Chapter 30
A/N: I initially forgot that the HP-related stat in The Gamer was VIT and not CON when I first started writing this chapter because I had DnD on the brain. How embarrassing would it have been if I hadn't caught that?
xoxoxo
I looked at my newest text boxes as Aizawa-sensei talked.
Through repeated meditation, your VIT has increased by one!
By raising VIT above 100, two random skills have been created!
The skill 'Healing Grace' has been created through VIT rising above 100 and having a healing skill with a level of 95 or higher!
The skill 'Immovable Object' has been created through VIT rising above 100!
The skill 'Purity of Body' has been created through VIT rising above 100!
Through repeated meditation, your STR has increased by one!
I'd actually got them on the way to school so I could go to my work study, which was pretty lucky. My VIT had been pretty close to the hundred-point benchmark after that ridiculous +15 to all stats, so naturally I'd had my Mantra set to level it up for the past few days. And now that I had the skills, I'd probably be trying to get my STR up. It wasn't as high as VIT was, but it still wasn't that far off so I'd set Mantra to level it unless I was Meditating, when I would switch Mantra to something else and use Meditation for STR. Mantra's benefits had improved slightly as it leveled up, so it might even happen within the month!
I closed the text boxes after I was done reading what the skills did. Purity of Body was the standard improved version of the previous benchmark's skill, nothing much to comment on there other than the fact that it probably synergized well with Damage Reduction because it improved my HP. Immovable Object was... I suppose it was good and I could definitely find uses for it, but it looked a little unwieldy, too... It was a powerful barrier spell, but the barrier got a lot of its strength from being rooted, completely immobile. Even after turning the skill off the barrier would take a few moments to dissolve, leaving me immobile unless I could brute force my way through it... which I could probably do if I wanted, but not without using up more MP. At the very least I was already halfway through puzzling out how to use Item Enchantment to combine it with Imaginary Architect, which would give it a lot more versatility (though I doubted I'd get much EXP if at all for it if I only used an enchantment derived from it...). The barrier would be immobile even in midair, though it thankfully made me immobile relative to Earth and not truly immobile so I wouldn't fly off every time I used it.
I noticed, though, that it reminded me of Illusion Barrier in a way. I couldn't tell too well without actually using the skill, but it felt like it drew on the same underlying dimensional... thing... that Illusion Barrier tapped into, though in a different manner. Instead of creating another layer of reality using its fabric, it seemed like the barrier would gain extra stability by being rooted to it. Though maybe 'rooted' might not have been the right word for it...
The best skill, though, was Healing Grace. In addition to increasing the rate at which my HP naturally regenerated, it also enhanced the effects of any skill I had that was even remotely related to healing. That was amazing, especially with how my current objective (even if I hadn't gotten a quest for it) was to heal Iida's brother. And that wasn't all Healing Grace enhanced. Regeneration, Meditation, and Mantra also healed for more now, though it seemed that Super Regeneration, being a Quirk and not a skill, didn't have the same benefits. It didn't seem to do anything for the MP regeneration effects on Meditate and Mantra, and while I couldn't check it as easily I assumed the same could be said for the rate at which it trained my stats. Not that I cared that much, it was already good. And that wasn't even mentioning its active effect, which let me sacrifice HP to further increase how effective my healing skills were at healing others. HP that it caused me to regenerate at an increased rate. I would have to be careful with it, but just skimming a bit off the top of my very large HP bar to improve my healing and level up Healing Grace faster seemed like a good idea.
Okay maybe I was overhyping Healing Grace just a little, but it looked pretty good. Plus the fact that it modified Mantra meant that it was passively gaining EXP with Mantra, even if it was only a little.
"Remember, you're not allowed to wear your hero costumes in public without express permission from a hero you're studying under," Aizawa reminded us. We were waiting for our transportation at a train station, and Aizawa-sensei was using it as an opportunity to give us some reminders. "And make sure you keep track of them, don't just leave them lying around." He glared at me. "Speaking of... Midoriya, you're the only person here without a costume case. Where is it?"
"I have it in my inventory, sir," I told him. "I figured that since I would only be allowed to take it out when I'm allowed to use my Quirk anyway, I might as well make it easier on myself."
"I suppose that's fine, then. And everyone, remember to mind your manners. Now go, your transportation should be here soon."
"Yes, sir!" everyone said before we went our separate ways. I noticed Iida walking away alone, so I walked towards him.
"Iida!" I said. He stopped. Kacchan and Uraraka walked up behind me. "Just remember," I said. "If you ever feel overwhelmed, you can talk to me."
"Me too!" Uraraka added.
"Again, I'm probably not the best person to talk to, but I'll totally listen if you want," Kacchan said.
I smiled. "We're friends, okay?"
He slowly turned around. "Of course." With that, he resumed walking to his train. I followed him. "What are you doing, Midoriya?" he asked.
"Sorry, I think my train is this way too."
He glared at me. "Did you plan this?"
I raised my hands in defense. "I swear I didn't! My train is just this way."
"I suppose so."
"Good luck on your work study, though," I said. "And be safe."
He nodded. "You too, Midoriya."
xoxoxo
I stared at the little map that Yagi-sensei had given me, comparing it with my minimap as I walked down the street. "So this Gran Torino guy even made Yagi-sensei nervous... I wonder what he's like."
"I can't say what he's like now, but when I knew him he was nice, though very... severe," Shimura told me.
"So like Yagi-sensei's version of Aizawa-sensei?" I asked.
She made a noise a bit like a verbal shrug. "Kind of, but not exactly."
"Well I can't wait to see him."
"Speaking of, why did you choose to go here?" Honenuki asked me. "You have us, so it's not like you really need his instruction on how to properly use One For All. No offense to him, of course."
I shrugged. "Yagi-sensei said that he was heavily DEX-based, and I've been meaning to work on my mobility anyway. Plus I didn't want to just brush him off, if he knows about One For All and All For One." I paused. "Hang on, were they just the two halves of that saying? Why did I not notice that before?"
"That was the last time my brother and I agreed, actually," Ichigo explained. "A few years after he forced Power Stockpile on me, we had a confrontation. He had continued to use his Quirk, called Power Theft then, for his own selfish gain, while I had just found out I could give my Quirk to someone else." He chuckled wryly. "We actually used One For All and All For One as a bit of a shared catchphrase when we were kids, so we agreed to split it in half, as it were."
"That's... kinda poetic, actually. Thank you for telling me." I stopped, seeing that I was in the right place. I looked up from the note. "Huh. This... is the right place, right?"
The place was... this might sound bad, but it looked a little run-down. Yagi-sensei mentioned that this Torino guy had come out of retirement to teach me, so it was probably just that the building was old. The doors looked fine, though, so I hoped that it was just that the outside that was worse for wear. I knocked on the door, waiting to be let in.
A few minutes passed, so I knocked again. And again I was met with silence. "Excuse me," I said loudly. "I'm here for an internship?" There was definitely someone there on my minimap. I asked my elementals, and they told me the person was just... laying there, covered in ketchup and sausage links. "I'm coming in, excuse me!" I decided, then opened the unlocked door. If I didn't know the old man was alive and the things under him were ketchup and sausages, I probably would've thought he was dead. It didn't help that the lights were off and there was a shattered plate on the floor.
Get Off My Lawn
LV 92
Torino Sorahiko
Though I was pretty sure the dead didn't have titles. "Hey, are you okay?" I asked.
His head shot up. "I'm alive!" he shouted.
"Yeah, do you need help cleaning up? You appear to be covered in ketchup." I didn't want to assume it was a test or prank, in case he actually did slip while carrying a plate of ketchup-covered sausages. "If you'll allow it, I have water magic and can summon paper towels with my Quirk."
"Oh, thank you, young man!" He got up shakily, leaning heavily on his cane. He was definitely wearing a hero outfit, regardless of his current state. I didn't think anyone would wear a yellow cape and a domino mask casually, at least. "Who are you?"
I pulled some paper towels out of my inventory. "I'm Midoriya Izuku, from Yuuei. I'm here for a work study?"
He took the paper towels and started wiping himself off. "Oh. Who are you?"
"Midoriya Izuku."
He smiled at me. "Toshinori?"
That was Yagi-sensei's name, so I guess he knew I had One For All, at least... "Um, any help, guys?" I asked the past bearers.
"Maybe try reading his mind?" Hikiishi suggested. "You can do that, right?"
"Sora, why?" Shimura sighed.
"Where's your costume?" the old man asked once he finished wiping himself off. His bearing had shifted, and he looked a lot more serious. He wasn't shaking anymore. "Put that on and fire One For All off at me."
I opened my inventory and dragged the costume case over to my equipment screen. Just like I'd hoped, it autoequipped my costume for me, and it even put on a little button that looked like it would let me autodequip my costume and pack it back up for me (hopefully returning my original clothes with it). I'd have to check if it actually did that, but it was cool nonetheless. My hero costume appeared on my body with a rush of air. I stretched, checking the changes to the outfit. It looked mostly the same, but I could already feel that it was easier to move around in than my old costume.
"How'd you do that?" Torino asked.
"Did you get any information about my Quirk?" I asked him.
"It's called The Gamer and it gives you powers like a video game character, specifically an RPG."
I nodded. "I have an inventory power, which is what I used to get those paper towels for you. It also has an equipment menu, and I just equipped my hero costume."
"That makes sense, I suppose." He got into a fighting stance. "Now hit me with your best shot. One For All only."
"Um... Can I do something first? If I throw a blast of One For All, it'll probably cause property damage."
"What is it?"
"I have a spell that... It's a little hard to explain but basically I can use it to let us do as destructive training we want without worrying about property damage, by basically putting us in a temporary pocket dimension."
He nodded. "Do that, then."
I placed my hand on his shoulder and dragged us both into an Illusion Barrier. Then I turned around and punched at the door. "LIMIT BREAK!" I shouted as the blastwave wrecked most of that wall, as well as the street and the building on the other side. "I am very glad I used Illusion Barrier," I said as I shook off my hand. It didn't hurt too bad, but after using One For All at 100% it was a little tingly.
"Well there's your problem, kid," Torino said. "Well, I can see another thing that you should be mindful of, too, but you've got one main problem. I know a bit about video games, you know. Watched a few YouTube videos on some RPGs when I decided to take you on, too. Plus I watched your performance in the sports festival as well. You're thinking about One For All like a limited resource or a super meter to draw on when you need a big attack, but that ain't just what it is. Think about how Toshinori uses One For All, I'm sure you've seen him use it before."
I nodded and put some ideas about what he meant in the text chat for the past bearers to give their thoughts on. "I think I get what you're suggesting."
"Good." To my surprise he jumped around the rest of the room, zooming between the floor, three remaining walls, and even ceiling. He landed on a nearby table, breaking it, and grinned at me. "You wanna put it into practice?" He pulled out a stopwatch. "You have three minutes to land a single hit on me, using only One For All. Starting now." He clicked it and started jumping around again. He was using his Quirk, Jet, which let him shoot powerful jets of air from the bottoms of his feet. He darted in for a punch, and I dodged backwards, tapping into One For All. Really, it was so obvious that I would've hit myself if I had time. It was basically what I did for Elemental Aura already, just using One For All instead of elemental magic. I felt a feeling like lightning running all over my body as I jumped. I sailed clear out the hole that was the broken fourth wall, still keeping my eyes on him.
He bounced a few more times before shooting straight at me. I stood my ground, concentrating more One For All in my arm. When he was close enough that I was hoping he couldn't dodge the attack, I punched in his direction. It was a textbook Texas Smash, sending a powerful shockwave in Gran Torino's direction, but he managed to dodge to the side with his Quirk. He shot at me again, but I dodged out of the way first. "I see what you did," he noted. "You saw me bouncing around the room with blinding speed and decided to get me out in the open, where maybe I'd be a bit slower." He grinned. "Changing the environment to your advantage or your opponent's disadvantage. Good. Just remember that it might not always work. After all, you're the one on a time-"
I didn't let him finish that, trying to blindside him by charging at him while he was still monologuing. He still managed to shoot upwards before I hit him, but I had anticipated that and used Weird Flex (that might have been cheating slightly, but it was less of a magical or Quirk-related skill and more of a literal skill that just happened to get enhanced by The Gamer, like Sword Mastery) to pivot so that I could push off the ground with my hands. The ground cracked with the force that I used pushing off of it, and I shot into Gran Torino foot-first. He grunted, stunned, and I punched off the air a few times to get on the opposite side of him so I could catch him before we hit the ground.
Your level has increased by one!
I was already pretty close to a level up before that fight, so even though it wasn't much of a fight the EXP was still enough to level me up.
"Sorry if that was a little too hard," I said when we landed, then pulled out my Quirk healer license. "I can heal you, if you're hurt."
He grunted, got up, and rubbed his stomach. "Thanks, kid." He chuckled. "You really showed a lot of promise there, kid," he said as I healed him. "It only took me a little prodding to correct how you use your Quirk."
I smiled. "Yeah, and we didn't even touch on my other Quirks."
He raised his eyebrow. "'Other Quirks?' Plural?"
"Sorry, did Yagi-sensei not mention that?" I asked. I raised my hand, switching Skeletal in. Oof, my costume wasn't looking too good after that giant blast... I was already going to use Mending after my demonstration, but still... I tensed my arm, activating Skeletal. White armor calcified along my hand and forearm, forming something like a gauntlet that destroyed the remains of that sleeve and glove. "The Gamer evolved the ability to copy Quirks during the sports festival. I got the Quirks of the past bearers, as well as a few others, as quest rewards from a quest related to the sports festival." I deactivated Skeletal, causing the bone armor to retract back into my skin, and fixed my costume with Mending.
"Well, practice with those new Quirks of yours for now." His demeanor lightened. "I'm gonna go get us some food!" He walked away.
"Um... Let's go inside first so I can drop the Illusion Barrier first?" I suggested. "I don't think I'm allowed to just drop us out of a pocket dimension in the middle of the street."
He looked at the carnage we'd made, then around at the lack of people on the street, and chuckled. "That sounds about right. No use scaring the civilians." We walked back inside. "Who are you, again?"
I broke the barrier. "Midoriya. Should I just practice with my Quirks and magic until you're back?"
"Sure. But who are you, though?"
I sighed. "Just go, please."
"Goodbye, Toshinori!" He said with a smile as he walked out the door.
"Goodbye," I said. The second the door closed I activated another Illusion Barrier, leaving my elementals on the other side so I would know when he came back. I'd recently gotten a new setting for Illusion Barrier, but I decided against using it quite yet and just made another skeleton barrier. "Practice with my Quirks. Got it." I activated One For All again, getting that electrical feeling again. It reminded me of using Lightning Aura, actually. Which made sense, given how close what I was doing was to Elemental Aura.
That gave me an idea, but first...
I jumped, putting all of my strength into it. I immediately regretted that, as using One For All's full power to jump seemed like it was slightly overkill seeing how high I flew. Luckily I had I Burn on, so I'd absorbed all the energy from how hard I hit the ceiling, an impact hard enough that I lost some HP from it even with my Physical Endurance and Damage Reduction. And then I absorbed the negligible amount of energy I got from punching through a cloud a moment later. Speaking of which, I looked at the building...s I just destroyed from the giant hole in the cloud I was above. It was so far away that even with Hawkeye I could just barely see the largest chunks. I didn't actually expect it to work, so I was pleasantly surprised when I felt them when I reached out with Singularity. "The range it has is ridiculous, if it can do that," I muttered. I yanked, pulling those chunks upwards. "It doesn't even feel like I'm straining it..." I did notice my regeneration dropping a few points as I pulled the chunks up to me, but it was amazing how much power I got out of Singularity.
I turned off Singularity as I dropped below the cloud headfirst, switching to grabbing the chunks that had just flown past me and into the clouds with Blackwhip. I made a barrier enchanted with Immovable Object above my feet and braced on it to stop the building chunks. I strained at their momentum for a second, then jumped with half the power I had used before once the pull from the chunks abated. As I hurtled downwards I looked around the town I was above. I saw a few important landmarks: a tower, a square with a fountain, an important-looking building that could've been town hall, and the train station I'd arrived at. I double-checked that I was still in the Illusion Barrier, because this would be really bad otherwise...
I raised the amount of One For All I was using and swung my hands, trying to hit the four targets with the building pieces I was carrying with Blackwhip. My aim was a little off, but considering the fact that I was throwing around giant chunks of rubble I was fine with the result. Plus, they had all ended up crushing some skeletons that had spawned. I'd read in an article of tips for heroes Yagi-sensei had shared in one of his classes that in general a hero should try to not throw stuff at people if they can avoid it because they can typically hit harder than whatever they can pick up and it lowers property damage in general, so while that was fun I wasn't planning on making a habit of throwing buildings at people.
I let myself fall after that. I'd lost some of my momentum when I'd thrown the buildings, but I was still coming in fast. I could probably just use Float to stop falling, but I decided to try to tank the landing instead. It'd be great for I Burn, for one. I switched in Skeletal, giving myself some extra armor over the areas that I'd be landing on, and used Earth Aura to provide some shock absorption. I landed in a textbook three-point landing in the middle of a throng of skeletons, triggering an OFA-overpowered Earth Burst as I did that basically caused a miniature earthquake.
"Ow," I said despite the fact that it only took off a small bit of health that I gained back almost immediately. "Deadpool was right, those are hard on the knees..." I got up, turning Skeletal off and Mending my shredded costume again. I was standing in the middle of a crater with giant cracks radiating from it. I noticed dust pouring into one of the cracks. "Hello," I said as the skeletal samurai spawned. "It's nice to see you again." I could've probably just flicked it to death with One For All, but I decided against that.
The skeleton charged and swung at me, but I blocked it with Skeletal armor. I trapped the sword as I glanced off my armor by forming spikes of bone around it, then switched in Magnetize without switching Skeletal, Copy, or I Burn out. I could feel that the efficiency dropped when I used Magnetize on the sword, but not as much as the last time I tried it. After Magnetizing the sword, I slapped the skeleton's armor, giving it a dose of Magnetize too, and pressed the sword to it. I snickered when the skeleton tried futilely to pry the sword off of its armor, even though Magnetize wasn't as strong as it could've been.
It glared at me, despite not having any eyebrows. I somehow got the message that it wanted me to take our fight seriously.
"Okay, sorry." I put the palm of my hand up to its chest. "I'll take this seriously now." I switched out Magnetize and Copy for Explosion. I had an idea I wanted to test, so I created a hole in the bone armor on my palm for Explosion to work. I gave my hand a bit more One For All than the rest of my body and triggered a blast. I was forced to take a step back from the recoil as an explosion like a shaped charge blasted a hole through the skeleton's armor. It was armor-piercing, sure, but just like when I tried chopping bits off of the other skeletal samurai it only shaved off some HP.
"I guess sometimes finesse just doesn't compare to brute force," I muttered. True, I could've taken it down with hits like that, but it would take way longer than just encasing it in ice with Half-Cold Half-Hot and throwing it into a building with Blackwhip, which I did. This time the skeleton didn't drop anything, which hopefully wasn't because I encased it in ice before killing it.
I got a message from my elementals that Gran Torino came back, so I went back to his house in about a second using Sonic Embodiment. I placed myself about where I thought the floor was before I turned it into a crater, then dropped my Illusion Barrier. Thankfully, dropping out of Illusion Barrier in a position where something was there in the real world didn't do damage to anything and just caused the two objects to move if possible until they weren't inside each other, so even though my aim was off and my feet were clipping through the floor I just shot up until I was standing.
"Ah!" Gran Torino, who was carrying some grocery bags, shouted when I appeared out of nowhere. "...Who are you, again?"
"Sorry for startling you, Torino-sensei," I said. "I decided to train in my Illusion Barrier, which was a good call because the first thing I did wrecked this building."
"That's nice, whoever you are." He yawned. "I'm tired. I think I'm gonna go to bed after I put these away."
"Oh, I thought you'd want to spar some more..." I said.
He handed me a bag full of packages of frozen taiyaki. "That's nice, kid. Wanna help me put away the groceries?"
"...Did you only buy taiyaki?" I asked. Observe told me the other grocery bags only had taiyaki in them, too... It was a good thing The Gamer meant I didn't need to eat, I guess...
"Don't be silly, Toshinori!" he said with a goofy grin, then produced a lollipop. "I got this for you, young man!"
I took the lollipop. "Thanks, I guess..." I put it in my mouth. It was green apple, not my favorite flavor but at the same time it wasn't my least favorite flavor. He probably picked it because of my hair... I checked the fridge when I put the taiyaki in the freezer. He had a wide variety of food, a lot of it healthy but also a lot of sweets, too. I guess he just really felt like getting taiyaki. I felt his gaze on me while I checked the fridge. Maybe he was testing me by showing fake signs that he was senile?
"Good night," I told him when we were done putting the taiyaki in the freezer. "I think I'll train a bit more before I turn in for the night. I'll try not to stay up too late, though." That was kind of a lie, but one could argue that because The Gamer made it so I didn't have to sleep I technically couldn't stay up to late...
"Good night, Toshinori," he said with a grin.
xoxoxo
A/N: So yeah Midoriya already has experience enhancing his entire body at once with magical energies, so I figured we could skip the whole "I'm a taiyaki" bit and get straight to the Full Cowl with only some light scolding to jumpstart him.
Elemental list: Midoriya: Halitus, Dune, Rayne, Blaise, Juniper, Mifuyu, Raimon, Iggy, Sonia, and Claude Bakugou: Pyra and Leaf Tokoyami: Corvo Uraraka: Nebula and Ion Hagakure: Lucy Tsu: Bubbles Aizawa: Charlie and Cassiopeia All Might: Seth O'Scope

BMC Miraculous Ladybug AU RP Thing: RPG
An RP me and @pika-ace did relating to the BMC Miraculous Ladybug AU, where our main seven go through an RPG world thanks to an akuma named Queen Alexia.
(The main seven enter an empty warehouse, looking around for the Akuma) Leo: Okay, that weird queen lady has GOT to be here somewhere! (They look around until Owl spots a TV with an NES sitting on a box)
Owl: What's this? Hound: Ooooh retro!
(They approach the TV and it turned on by itself)
Leo: Ooooh. :o
(It showed static at first, but then it showed a title screen for an RPG game called "Miraculous Quest")
Swan: A game? Hound: I like the sound of this already :3c
(Suddenly, two hands emerge out of the screen and grabs the main seven)
Dasher: AHH!! Leo: Holy shit we're being Jumanji'd!!!
(The hands dragged them and into the TV) (Then there was a bright flash of light) (A couple of seconds later, the main seven, who are now their normal selves, stir) Jeremy: Owwww.....
Michael: Aw man...ow... Eric: *winces* Everyone alright?
Post: Yeah...!
Jordan: Shit...we changed back...? Why?
???: Because you're in my RPG game of course! :3
(They all look up to see the akuma, standing on a large rock over them)
Queen Alexia: And you seven are gonna go through the WHOLE thing! From beginning to end! >:3
Jeremy: Holy shit, we actually WERE Jumanji'd!
Queen Alexia: Well, not “Jumanji’d” but rather....you all became an RPG class! (They look over themselves and saw that Jeremy is a Fighter, Michael is an Archer, Eric is a Mage, Jordan is a Knight, Post is a healer, Lin is a Rouge/Thief, and Joe is a Mage)
Michael: ...I am strangely excited about this 8)c
Jeremy: Me too! 8)c
Jordan: *looks at his armor* I don't think we covered this during our game nights...
Post: I-I'm a healer...? M-Makes sense... :/
Joe: *to Eric* It seems you and I are...spell casters?
Eric: *to Joe* Seems like it...
Lin: I'm digging this hood and the black...I feel very edgy
Michael: But don't get TOO edgy Lin! X3c Queen Alexia: AAAAANYWAY, now that you all saw that you're in your RPG classes, let me explain a few rules...
Jeremy: Oh, I am READY for this! :D Michael: Same; I am ON BOARD!
Queen Alexia: First off, your Miraculous, they're not taken, yet, but you cannot use them at a lower level, you have to unlock the ability at a certain level! Wanna take a few guesses on what Level you unlock it? :3c
Post: uhh...10?
Queen Alexia: Nope! 35! :3c
Michael: WHAT?! D:< Jeremy: That's BS! >:(
Queen Alexia: Hey! I can't have rookie players in my game gain access to a powerful ability from the start! It would make things too easy! >:(
(Jeremy and Michael groan)
Queen Alexia: Second, you all have three lives! If you run out of HP, you loose a life! But if you loose all three lives, then you'll die both in game and in real life! >:)
(Everyone tenses) Post: Oh god...we've been sword art online'd too?!
Queen Alexia: Well not quite but, it'll seem that way if you loose your last life! ;)
Lin: In hindsight, we kinda asked for this when we asked Raven Claw to up his game...
Joe: Yes, now we ALL have to pay the price...
Queen Alexia: Also, all of you start at Level 1! So if you wanna beat the final boss, you gotta farm those EXP from battles! >:3
Michael: Oh, lovely >:(
Queen Alexia: Good luck! >:3 *disappears*
Jeremy: Welp, looks like we get to live the DnD cartoon
Post and Jordan: The what? :/c
Michael: The old cartoon based on Dungeons and Dragons.
Post: .....Never heard of it. :/c
Jeremy: We'll educate you later; right now, we better build up our EXP
Michael: Yeah! >:)
Eric: And how exactly do we do that? Jeremy: Beat the shit out of enemies of course!
Michael: Yeah! Beat em up and gain EXP! That's basically what makes an RPG.....an RPG!
Jordan: *looks completely lost* Uhhhh... Michael: You’ll get the hang of it
Joe: Well then, shall we start our quest? :)
Post: Y-Yeah! Jeremy: Onward!
(They begin their journey through the RPG land)
(Jeremy and Michael take the lead, being more experienced in RPGs)
(While the others are behind them) (After a couple of minutes, they encountered their first monster)
Jeremy: Ooooh boy, here we go!! Let's see what we can do!
(They get into position to fight)
Jordan: So how does this work exactly?! Michael: Just attack, like we usually do in the real world, dad, it's not hard!
Lin: Sooo....beat it up until it’s dead? :/c
Jeremy: Exactly!
Joe: Alright then, it may take some time to learn our new powers but we’ll manage!
Michael: I'll go first; my thing is pretty straight forward *gets his bow and arrows* Though I wish we took archery in gym class...
(He aims his arrow and releases it towards the monster)
(The arrow hits and the monster staggers a bit)
Michael: Woo! Did it on the first try! :D
Jeremy: Okay, I'll go next; I'm a fighter, soooo I guess I'll just punch him
(He approaches the monster and punches it)
(The monster staggers and Jeremy again and Jeremy leaps back to his position) Post: Heh, this is pretty easy! Jeremy: Well this IS a level one monster
Michael: Yeah, cause if we go into the later levels, they’ll get harder to beat!
Post: I'll go next but...I'm a Healer. Can I even attack?
Michael: Eeeeeehhhhh......kinda? :/
Jeremy: Give it a try, just...don't heal him
Post: O-Okay... (Post walks up to the monster and hits it with the stick end of his healing staff)
(The monster staggers again) Michael: There ya go!
Post: Yay! :D
Eric: Um, is there a reason this thing isn't fighting back? Jeremy: We all gotta take turns; once we all go, then he can go
Eric: .....Are you serious? -_-
Jeremy: Yep, that's how it works; be glad we're not in an MMO or else it'd be a free for all
Michael: Yeah!
Jordan: What the hell is an MMO?????! Michael: Later, dad, it's your turn, slash the monster or something!
Jordan: A-Alright then!
(Jordan gets out his sword and slashes at the monster)
(The monster staggers again, looking like it was gonna faint)
Jeremy: Almost there! Who's gonna take the finishing blow?
Joe: I will!
Joe: Now, if I'm a Mage then I suppose I can just... (He forms a spell in his hands and fires it at the monster)
(The monster falls and is defeated)
Michael: Woo! Victory!
Jeremy: Yeah!! :D
Post: So have we leveled up now? Michael: Oh, if only it were that easy
Post: Huh?
Jeremy: It takes a LOT of EXP to level up, and beating one monster isn't gonna be enough; we gotta beat up more.
Eric: .....Are you fucking serious? >:/
Michael: 'Fraid so, man.
(Eric sighs in annoyance)
Jeremy: Speaking of, we should probably look for GROUPS of monsters to fight to speed things up; Eric probably got barely any EXP since he didn't get to attack
Michael: Yeah, if we wanna best the final boss TOGETHER, we gotta be strong enough to both survive and win this thing!
Jordan: This is too much for my brain to handle...
Lin: You’ll get the hang of it eventually Tank! ;)
(They head on their way, fighting as many monsters as they can)
(They spent an hour or so fighting monsters and leveling up) (When they got to the entrance of a forest level, they were suddenly approached by a man in a long cloak) Magic Seller: Hello weary travelers!
Jeremy: Uh, hey
Magic Seller: Would you care to buy *quickly pulls out a potion* some of these??? :3c
Michael: *squints* What does it do?
Magic Seller: It makes you go fast *pause* Like Sonic the Bloody Hedgehog
Jeremy: Oh well in that case :D
(Jeremy takes the magic potion from the magic seller’s hands)
Eric: Are you sure about this? Michael: This is part of the game dude; you gotta get potions and junk
Jeremy: Yeah!
(They buy a few more potions)
Michael: Thanks for the potions man! :D Magic Seller: Ya welcome kid!
(They head on their way through the forest)
(They fought a few monsters as they went but all of the sudden, they felt the ground shake a little)
Jordan: What's that?!
(The shaking fades out and comes back, as if something big and heavy was coming towards them)
Jeremy: If Jurassic Park has taught us anything...that can't be a good sign...
(The stomping becomes louder and louder until a giant moving tree with large arms and a face comes into view)
Michael: Ooooh...goooood...
(The giant tree monster looks at them and roars loudly, then it starts charging towards them)
Joe: MOVE!!
(They run as fast as they can to get away from the tree monster)
(The monster chases them for a while, until it reaches out with one of its branches and grabs Eric)
Jordan: PEACH!!
(Everyone skids to a halt; Eric struggles and tries hitting it with magic, but they barely do anything, and the monster keeps his tight grip on him)
(Eric screams in pain as the monster tightens his hold on him)
(The monster roars and starts stomping away with Eric) Jeremy: Get back here, Treebeard!!
(They chase after the tree monster)
Post: Why aren't we doing the usual thing where it stays still and fights us?! Michael: This must be a cutscene or something!!
Jordan: A What?!
Jeremy: You know, like when those video scenes play in other games to move the story!
Jordan: *blinks* Oh, right.
Michael: Yeah; this must be a boss if he's getting a cutscene!
Lin: Then let’s follow him and beat that guy! >:)
Jordan: No need to tell me twice! >:(
(They chase after the monster)
(They eventually reach a forest clearing; the monster is waiting, and Eric is dangling from another tree, tied up with tree roots)
Jordan: Will!
Eric: Jordan!
(The monster roars at the six, getting ready for battle)
Post: Okay, NOW it's doing the thing.. Michael: Be careful, this is a boss, he's gonna be tough!
Jeremy: Yeah!
(They start fighting)
janethepegasus (They gave it all they got on their turn, while they try to dodge the monster’s attacks on its turn. This goes on for a couple of rounds) (Eventually, they were still holding on but Jordan had it rough, he was just a couple HP points away from losing his first life)
Eric: Jordan! Jeremy: Post, can you heal him on your next turn? Post: I....I don't have enough magic!!
Jeremy: Crap! He’s gonna loose his first life if he gets hit!
Michael: I...I guess we just hope the monster decides to hit one of us instead
Jeremy: I hope...
(They finish their turns and the monster takes its turn to attack)
(It raises its large arms and slams them down at Jordan)
Eric: NO!!!!
(It lands and the monster picks up Jordan, and then it throws him straight into the ground) (When Jordan landed, he looked like a bloody mess)
Eric: *struggling while tearing up* JORDAN!!! Michael: Holy fuck...!
(The monster finishes it’s turn and now it was their turn to attack)
Eric: *nearly crying* No...no, Jordan...! Joe: *angrily* You BASTARD!! (They take their turns, hitting the monster with their strongest attacks)
(Once their attacks hit on their turn, they managed to defeat the tree monster)
(The roots around Eric disappear and he falls to the ground, and everyone looks at Jordan's remains)
Jeremy: Holy fuck... (Eric manages to get up and race towards Jordan)
(Eric kneels next to him, tears falling and his hands shaking) Eric: Oh god...Jordan...no...please, please no...!
(Eric bursts into tears as he’s next to Jordan)
(Everyone else tears up at the sight, when Jordan's body starts to disappear)
Eric: *sobbing* No..! No no no no, please...Jordan...DON’T LEAVE ME!!!
(Jordan's body vanishes and a spotlight shines down from the sky; a few seconds later, Jordan is literally dropped right back into the world, falling on his face) Everyone: HUH?! Jordan: OW! FUCK, that hurt!!
Eric: *looks up* Jordan?!
(Jordan gets onto all fours and looks around at the scene) Jordan: Huh? Did we win?
Jeremy: Uhh....yeah we did.
Jordan: Oh... *sees everyone looking shocked* Uh, did I miss something? Eric: JORDAN!! *runs over and just about tackles him, tears running down his face*
Jordan: Woah! You okay there Peach?
Eric: You're alive...oh thank GOD you're alive!!
Jordan: Wh-What?? D-Did....Did I die?!
Michael: Y-Yeah...that tree just about made fertilizer out of you... Eric: I thought I'd lost you, I...god I was so scared, Jordan...!
Jordan: Oh Will.... *hugs Eric*
Post: But, how did you...oh...right...I forgot...
Lin: Oh yeah, the lifes thing....riiiiiight...
Michael: Wow...guess the adrenaline made us forget...
Jeremy: Yeah....
Joe: So that means Jordan has two lives left; now I see that we have to save as many as possible; three lives isn't a lot
Jeremy: Yeah, cause if we lost all three, we’re dead, like....for real.
Michael: And that was only the first boss...oh boy...
Post: Yeah...
(Eric and Jordan stand up, Eric still clinging to Jordan)
Jordan: You gonna be okay Peach...?
Eric: I...I think so...
Jordan: *wipes Eric's tears* Good...
Eric: Just...stay alive...please...
Jordan: I will, promise...
(Jordan kisses him on the forehead)
(Eric smiles)
Joe: Well then...shall we continue? Lin: Yeah, let's get out of this place...
(They walk forward and continue on their journey)
(They travel through many levels, slowly getting stronger as they go, but still having quite a few close calls as the fights get tougher)
(During one fight against a tough monster, Joe and Lin were trying their best not to get hit again, as they didn't want to loose their remaining HP with one hit)
Michael: Get ready!! (The monster roars and attacks Joe, and he falls down dead)
Everyone: JOE!!!!
Jordan: DAMMIT!! (They take their turns and attack as hard as they can, trying to end the fight quickly)
(As soon as the monster disappears, everyone rushes over to Joe)
Post: Dad!! Oh god dad, no!
Eric: Joe.....
(Joe's body disappears and he's then dropped back into the world)
(He falls on his back)
(Joe slowly gets up and looks around) Joe: Well, that was a bizarre experience... Post: DAD!
(Post hugs Joe tightly)
Lin: Well we made it THIS far without anyone losing a life; I'd call that progress
Jeremy: Yeah; hopefully we reach the final boss pretty soon...
Michael: What level are we on now? I think I've kinda been losing track, I think we're...in the twenties?
Joe: I believe so...
Eric: I guess we'll just have to keep going until the akuma tells us to stop
Jeremy: Yeah, pretty much.
(They get up and keep on going)
(They kept on going, fighting a lot of monsters as they went, getting stronger and managing to keep their lives. Until finally, the main seven reached Level 35, where they unlocked the ability to use their Miraculous)
Eric: FINALLY!!
Jeremy: Yeah! It took us a couple of hours just to get there!
Michael: Oh this'll make fighting WAY more fun! >:3
Lin: Hell yeah! >:3
Post: Onward! To the next fight! >:3
(They move on forward)
(They keep climbing the levels, their Miraculous abilities helping immensely in fights)
(Eventually, after many battles against monsters and bosses, they finally reached the final level, standing in front of the gates of a large castle)
Jordan: Oh thank god it's almost over... Eric: How are we doing on lives?
Jordan, Joe, and Lin: Two Michael and Jeremy: We got three!
Jeremy: How about you, Post?
Post: Um....I-I-I....i got one left.... :(
Michael: Oh fuck... Jordan: And...Will? How about you?
Eric: Two.
Jeremy: Okay...okay, so we just gotta watch Post's health more than anything
Michael: We don't wanna loose our precious baby! XS
Post: 'M not a baby... >:(
Jeremy: You are in our eyes! Michael: You precious cinnamon roll!
Joe: They're not wrong, son ;)
Post: T-True...
Jordan: Welp...let's go de-throne this Queen
Michael: Hell yeah, let's do this!
(They enter the final level and start slowly working their way up)
(Eventually, they managed to make their way to the top, where Queen Alexia is sitting on her throne)
Alexia: You finally made it...and with your whole party! Impressive!
Jeremy: Yeah, it was hard, but we fucking made it!
Michael: And now we're taking you down!! Alexia: Figures, the ones will ALL their lives are the ones running the show; you two have CLEARLY played RPGs before
Jeremy: Well DUH! >:(
Michael: Also, dropping our rookie friends into this with semi-perma-death? Not cool, lady! >:(
Queen Alexia: It's an RPG, they should've known better! ;)
Jeremy: Not everyone's a fan of RPGs, lady!! Michael: And not everyone are gamers!! Some people don't even know what RPGs are!!
Queen Alexia: *scoffs* Whatever. Anyway, you get the face the final boss to this game, me! So get ready cause i won't hold anything back! >:)
(They get into position and the fight begins)
(Both sides gave it all they got, landing powerful attacks) (However, during Alexia's turn, she tries a powerful attack at Jordan) (It hits and he's knocked out)
Eric: JORDAN!! Jeremy: It's okay, he's still got a little health left and two lives!
(Jordan struggles to get up)
Michael: Post! Give her a status spell! Stun her so we can get some extra hits in!
Post: O-Okay!
(Post hits Alexia with a stunning spell and she can't move for two turns)
Jeremy: Alright! Now we can get our extra hit! >:)
Jeremy: Don't hit her with the ultra big ones yet, we gotta save magic energy!
Eric: Right!
(They all hit her with decently powerful attacks and get a good chunk of her health down to almost red)
Michael: Almost there!
Jeremy: Alright, Post, you heal the party including yourself in case this somehow goes wrong! Michael: Everyone else, time for the big guns!
Lin: Hell yeah, let's do this! >:)
(They all use their Miraculous abilities and use their biggest spells and Alexia's health drops to zero)
All: YEAH!!!
(Alexia falls over and their levels skyrocket due to all the EXP) Michael: Ahhh that's the best feeling in the world! X3c
Jeremy: Hell yeah it does! X3c
(Eric walks up to Alexia's fallen form and gets her akuma) Eric: That was QUITE the payoff, I must say
Jordan: Yeah, it was rough going through the whole thing, but we did it!
Joe: That was a VERY satisfying journey...and I think we owe it all to you, Jeremy and Michael. Without your leadership and expertise...I don't think any of us would have made it out
Post: Yeah... Lin: Thanks for your knowledge of the genre Mikey! <3
Jordan: I didn't think you had in ya; you two may not know it, but you're born leaders
(Jeremy and Michael blush) Jeremy: Thanks guys
Michael: Never thought we'd be leading the victory charge through a giant RPG
Jeremy: Me neither. Yet here we are.
Eric: Perhaps during our next game night...we could play more RPGs, just without the threat of dying
Joe: Yes, i'm a bit interested in seeing more RPG worlds and see what they have in store for all of us.
Post: And working together like that was a lot of fun!
Lin: It was! <3
Jeremy: Hell yeah, that'd be awesome! Michael: It's a deal!
Jeremy: Next game night, more RPGs! <3
Michael: Yeah! Now let's get the hell out of here!
Eric: Right!
(Eric breaks the akuma and purifies it, and they're back in the warehouse)
Post: We're back! :D
Joe: Thank goodness
Michael: Yeah...
Jeremy: C'mon Michael; let's go home and try to narrow down which RPG we'll play first at the next game night! :Dc
Michael: Yeah! We gotta pick a GOOD one to play! :Dc
Eric: We're looking forward to it :)
Jeremy: Great! <3

Handful of art of my dnd character, Hisk. Worlds most useless artificer ✌️
First one is more recent in the campaign, thus the extra cloak + etc
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
One of my favorite characters ive had the displeasure of playing, he has negative charisma and his best stat its a +8 to history checks. (At level 8.) There is no "but- hes good at-" 😔 Hisk is the worst, and we love him for it.

My first almost D&D but Not DND session!
Soo way back when, my dad gave me a book - a AD&D DMG from a market stall. And it was soo intriguing - but completely almost incomprehensible. A DMG made some sense - but all the numbers & mechanics were weird alien concepts that followed no simple path (some went up, others went down - and there was all these weird changes to add or subtract everywhere! AD&D was a chaotic book to say the least). Later, I’d discover my school had an original D&D players guide (ok, it was actually just the D&D book. There was only meant to be one. It was the very first book every made & meant to be a all in one concept). Suddenly things made sense - and we even had 2 modules. D&D could be had! Sooo I went to a friends house & he loved the concept. He also loved elves - no really, you have to understand he worshipped elves soooo much his ears gear almost 2 inches longer & pointy when he was leaving highschool. it was OMG scary. No surgery, no fakes - just straight up brain power misspent to reshape his body after his favorite image. He was already kinda tall & thin. And a pale skinned gaming geek naturally... So all he needed was to grow out his hair & grow pointy ears. Sooo he did... Kinda freaky... Kinda explains a lot about being human - and yeah, ‘Worshipped tolkieen type elves’ is the best description I have. But otherwise a nerdy nice guy. Annyyywayyy, I went over (pre-elf state) & asked about D&D. And he produced a rulebook - for Lord of the Rings. I didn’t care, we’re doing this. So we rolled up some characters. He had a Warrior or a Paladin I think. And I had a rogue - were-tiger. The LOTR RPG was a point buy system similar to white wolf games. You buy advantages and flaws to gain talents/powers/magic/skills & flaws. I found some for balance, jumping & damage resistance. And something like claws/teeth. Add in some rogue skills & movement skills & I was set! Now my friend was the by the book type - which I thankfully cured immediately by suggesting we do a ‘By the seat of our story pants’ session - we just started. Soon we were running atop rooves of the city doing a chase scene - totally awesome for a thief. And the paladin was running below trying hard to keep up. Rogues are totally awesome! Ooohhh yes! Anyway - we dived into this brave new RPG world. We had lots of fun. At some point we decided our setting was Faerun’s Waterdeep - we’d read a D&D novel about it & that was all the inspiration we needed. We also grew our party to like 3-4 people, maybe 5? And we were working for the political movers & shakers of Waterdeep. But we started with 2 characters chasing a thief across rooftops... Using a completely alien system that had almost no magic what so ever - improvising everything from rules to dice. We knew D&D needed d20s, so we rolled d20s plus our skills. That worked well. Damage was a d6 or 2d6 for something big. Life was soo simple - then we got loot! And we had a DMG for that! OMG, but my mate surpassed me here. Suddenly we had a gnomish inventor with a self moving carriage. It was steam powered.. ish... Magic steam I think... And we ended up with a self shooting crossbow on top at somepoint. That was actually scary - it shoot anyone & everyone, sometimes even us! I remember leaping from the rooftop of our carriage as it steamed it’s way over snowtopped fields, leaping for our opponent’s horses & chariots. I had to make so many agility checks (or was it balance?) - and aced them all. I was a were-cat & I knew where to specialise. Movement skills! Later our paladin died - and we wanted him back. So we planehopped over to the elvish heavens to steal his soul back (we’re adventurers after all! We know we’re here to loot the place!) So the GM distracted us with various scenes of heaven. I was really tempted to try and open this ornate obsidian door that seemed to glow with red runes everywhere. It was chained up with heavy mithril chains & magic locks - and omg it was so tempting... But the party managed to guess it might actually be a portal to the Nine Hells & dragged their curious kitty away... Then the GM tried to distract another player with a beautiful glade. However it was the Kitty who ended up wandering inside & being all curious. There was an elf there & we talked a lot. We kinda got into a debate about religion - and realized we had the same goals, but completely opposite perspectives on how to achieve it. We laughed a lot as everyone else realized the GM & I we’re arguing the same points from the opposite side of the lens. After that, I decided I liked this god - and well our campaign was slowly getting a VS Evil Hell Demons vibe. So believing in a particular god was appropriate. We did a lot of the ‘I pay homage to each different deity when I do something related to their portfolio’ type of prayers - partly as jokes & partly just to be characterful. So having one God was kinda cool. Anyway this elf asked if I wanted to start on the path as a cleric. Sure I said - now the other players had noticed when the GM said this god was forgotten on our world (it was a grey hawk god I think? Some other setting besides Faerun either way). And we’re pretty powerful folk now. We dance with the city’s politicians, royalty & gentry. We go to fancy parties & hang out with the royal poisoner, do work for the head Assassin sometimes & we even helped out the temple of helm so much we have a writ from the High Priest of Helm - allowing us shelter, food, aid & even a few coins from any temple of Helm. Amazing right? Well imagine my surprise when someone introduced me as a cleric of ‘Long Forgotten God’ when we finally retrieved our Paladin’s soul, avoided accidentally opening the door to hell a second time (It glowed and everything! I mean spoilt sports!) and we went to a royal ball to our success & our Paladin’s resurrection! Cleric’s were kinda a rare thing - we had lots of priests. But they could do no more than light healing (cure wounds & disease, produce food & water kinda magic. Very limited- because the system was also kinda limited in regards to magic) but clerics could open portals, summon angels & do real magics. Of course, I had 1 spell (*cough I had just enough exp to buy 1 ability cough*) - and slightly elfin features. There was the promise of an elven lifespan if I was a dutiful cleric though. So almost immortality was a pretty cool boon for a were-kitty... Now you’re wondering what the catch was - because there was one. I was just a cleric of this god. The only cleric actually. I’d been charged with spreading the word & given a cool title. Cleric! And then someone finally completed the sentence - we walked into the Royal Ball - and I was announced as the High Priest of ‘Long forgotten Elven God’... High priest... Yeah... The GM saddled me with ‘promote my faith’ & ‘High Priest’ in a political campaign... Now the GM was cool - the royal folk gave me a plot of land to cultivate into a druid glave with an underground cave/temple space. Which was cool. I even got a gold grant to help transplant soil & plants to the space. And it was near the Temple of Helm. The High Grand Temple of Helm... Where we have that lovely writ of aid... Soooo I maybe started preaching on the steps to the Temple of Helm... About my new god. And that made the High Priest of Helm just a little mad... Then we summoned a angel. The GM read about this spell where you could trade goods & gold to gain the service of angels. And they were anime angels that could build cities in days instead of months. Or nuke cities filled with undead and such... Sooo we traded some stuff from our stash & roll a d100 like all good gamers asking for a miracle. Got a 99 or was it a 100? That called forth some angels, saved our city in a big climatic battle & then sponsored a massive party - and our Angels turned DJs & Dancers and we jammed all night long! I mean we literally had them in our service for 2 days, so we just jammed & partied, then cleaned up the city some the next morning.  Amazingly, given how rare Clerics with real magic were, this had an impact on the populace... Preventing the Devil Apocalypse, Summoning Angels & Jamming with the rarest of planar beings after kicking all the BBEG’s collective butts! Yes we made an impression... Now prior to this I had established a kitty theme for loving high places. I always liked to sleep atop these massive columns that adorned the Temple of Helm. 20 to 30m tall columns that were under an even taller roof - so I could nap up there or watch the city flow below me like ants... it was awesome! Which meant I was now awoken by crowds of faithful, flocking to the temple of helm, to wake my charrie up with shouts for wisdom & sermons. I’d tell stories on the front steps (just so I was taller than the crowds. They had a bunch of statues to climb over and leap atop too!) & it was sooo fun! Anddd the GM was secretly making rolls to see if the High Priest would finally snap & do something evil against me... Even turn to the devils just to ‘silence’ this menace to their god... I totally stole so many of their followers... I mean the GM saddled me with being a High Priest... So I lied, tricked & teased my way into becoming the most popular cleric in the city. You let the rogue make a faith after all. This is totally before we ever read Terry Pratchett btw - So you can’t think I’d ever read Going Postal or Making Money. All original madness I’m afraid :) - And yeah... I nearly broke apart the campaign world in my childish teasing of Helm’s chosen... Heeh... Still almost no remorse there :P Sooo that was my role in our first campaign. I mean, we fought wars, assassinated assassins trying to kill us in our supposed sleep, raced steam chariots & besieged armies! We stole artifacts, invented flawed intelligent items like repeating crossbows (we had a sciencey type player who got on well with the mad gnomish inventors guild) and ended up nearly killing the party 3 times with our own repeating crossbow (twice we luckily ran out of arrows, the third time we had to throw a boulder onto our carriage - and boy was that expensive to fix...)  And don’t get me started on the politics... It literally flew over my teenage head... I was so clueless then. I even was tricked into being a high priest... Seriously, our party laughed me out of the room when I realized my easy-street lazy rogue was now saddled with actually working & promoting something, raising funds & even having to preach to get followers... And then people worked out I was actually a really good talker & on state debate teams... I just really enjoyed being lazy, stealing & leaping my way through problems... Anyway... long rambling stories... Probably not that interesting - but OMG my fondest memory is just that beginning - we rolled up characters & started playing before we read the mechanics. We invented everything we needed in 5 minutes & learnt some real rules later - which we half ignored as we tried to recreate the spirit of DND with d20s & Lord of the Rings Character Sheets. Still have that sheet too! If you ever want to start a game - just take whatever books you have and go for it. Don’t stress about the rules, make stuff up. Borrow the Advantage/Disadvantage system from fifth Ed - and just go with the flow. If it feels like success, tell the player. If it doesn’t, describe the player's misfortune...

Some of my dnd group's characters I've drawn.
Escell, resident poor ass sorcerer who loves separating from the group.
Thorin, they guy so confusing i always forget what class he actually is.
And "Nameless" the strongest, best stated, most useful dnd character I ever seen. But he is a multiclass barbarian who is played with the intelligence of a dog.

Dnd is a great game.
