I'm… a-alright. It's… …I don't really like talking about it, but… I suppose I should explain…

When I was much younger… I lived with my father in Jhoto. He used to be pretty decent… He was even the one that ordered and got me Mint, y'know. He specifically bred Marill to get a shiny Azurill for me, and paid for the training needed for her to be a service 'mon.

That is... until my mom died.

I think I reminded him too much of her, and he got angrier and angrier.

He'd scold me a lot when I made tiny mistakes after a while. Usually it was just telling me off, yelling, stuff like that. It hurt, but at least I could brush it off by cuddling Mint, and hiding away for a while.

That is, until one day…

I didn't… REALLY have homework, but he didn't believe me, and I had tried to tell him that there was no homework. He didn't like me talking back, so he did the only thing he could think of.

I got… pretty badly burnt. Mint ran off to get someone, and father… I think he realized what he had done. He looked terrified of himself.

By the time Officer Jenny got there… father, and his Typhlosion, was long gone.

That event has... scarred me, both physically and mentally. When I got Lunar, I was even terrified of him, even as a harmless, sweet little Scorbunny. I have him to thank for me not being AS afraid of Fire-types as I was.

As for my father... He hasn't contacted me since then. This is the first time I've heard a peep from him, and it's… that Pokeball. The Pokeball containing his starter. His Typhlosion.
