#even though triple h was sexy chaos personified they still had a very clear aesthetic theme

In the light of their comeback, I’m curious what your thoughts are on Kard especially in terms of their choreo? I find it interesting how the middle ground conceptwise their company settled on for a coed group was “sexy” and by interesting I think they played it safe
well, they certainly aren't trouble maker. or triple h for that matter. and personally i don't really have an issue that they aren't like, explicitly 'sexy' in the same way? there's a degree of intelligence to 'playing it safe'; they're not an overly strong dance group so they have to keep choreo relatively uncomplicated, and they do a lot of live singing, so there's another reason to keep choreo simple. also i think to some degree, most coed groups assigned sexy at conception seem to generate a lot of their interest (at least domestically) from a sense of scandal, and from what i can tell, kard does not seem to be interested in fostering that? whether or not it's company enforced, it's a respectable choice to make and i think it's fair to want to be seen as just a group making music and not have to generate attention from 'ooo look men and women on the same stage interacting'. tbh where i think their choreo (and them in general) is weakest is that they very rarely have discernable concepts other than 'latin inspired'. imo their best choreo is for gunshot, which has a very clear theme and is well executed. i think if they were to get some more distinctive visual concepts going, like they had with gunshot, it would elevate their performances more and they would feel less 'safe'.
