He Wins in Monza
Charles Leclerc x Norris!Reader
Summary: in which Charles wins his second home race, kisses you in front of thousands of people against his better judgement, and pisses off your brother (again) in that order
The roar of the crowd in Monza is a force of nature, a living thing that pulses with every heartbeat of the race. Charles can still feel it vibrating through his chest, even though the race is over and the engine’s been cut.
He won.
He won in Monza.
Despite starting fourth, despite all the odds — he’s done it.
He throws himself at his team, elation pouring out in yells and whoops as they crowd around him, slapping his helmet, hugging him like they never want to let go.
He doesn’t want to let go either.
This is what they’ve all worked so hard for, what they’ve poured countless hours and sleepless nights into, and here it is — the reward. The trophy is almost within his grasp, and for a moment, it’s all he can think about.
Until he sees you.
You’re standing just outside the McLaren huddle, clapping along as Lando reluctantly acknowledges the crowd from his P3 position. Charles sees it, the way your eyes shine as you watch your brother, but there’s something else there too — something that makes his chest tighten in a way that has nothing to do with the win.
You’re proud of Lando, sure, but when your gaze shifts and locks with his, it’s like the world stops spinning.
His breath catches. It’s the same look you gave him last night, when you whispered “good luck” in the dark, your fingers tracing the curve of his jaw like you were trying to memorize him. The same look you gave him when you first admitted that maybe, just maybe, you were falling for him. The same look you gave him every time he stole a glance at you during those secret moments, hidden away from the world.
It’s too much, too fast. He should be thinking about the podium, about the ceremony, about not giving anything away, but the way you’re looking at him — he forgets all of it.
Before he knows what he’s doing, Charles is pushing past his team, the thrill of victory still pumping through his veins. The only thing he can think about is getting to you, of pulling you into his arms and kissing you senseless in front of everyone because what does it matter anymore?
He won. You’re here. Everything else is just noise.
“Charles!” One of the engineers calls after him, but his voice is drowned out by the crowd. Charles is barely aware of the weight of his helmet in his hand, of the sweat still cooling on his skin. He’s aware of you, only you, and the way your eyes widen just a fraction as you realize what he’s about to do.
“Charles, don’t-” you start, your voice barely audible over the chaos, but it’s too late. He’s already there, his free hand finding yours like it was made to fit, and he’s tugging you forward, into him.
The world tilts, and suddenly, you’re chest-to-chest, his breath mingling with yours as he leans in. There’s a moment, just a split second, where everything hangs in the balance, where he could still pull back and save you both from the fallout.
But then your fingers tighten around his, and he’s gone, lost in the warmth of your mouth, in the softness of your lips that taste like everything he’s ever wanted.
The kiss is electric, a jolt of pure, unfiltered joy that sparks from his lips and spreads through his entire body. It’s the kind of kiss that makes time stop, that makes everything else fade into the background. The cheers, the cameras, the thousands of eyes on you — none of it matters. All that matters is the way you’re kissing him back, your hands slipping up to cup his face, holding him close like you’re afraid he might disappear.
When he finally pulls back, it’s only because he has to breathe, his forehead resting against yours as he tries to catch his breath. “I couldn’t wait,” he whispers, his voice rough with emotion. “I had to … I had to …”
You’re looking up at him with a mixture of disbelief and something else — something softer, warmer. “You’re an idiot,” you breathe, but there’s no heat in it, just affection, deep and unshakeable. “We’re supposed to be keeping this a secret, remember?”
“Can’t,” he says, shaking his head slightly, his nose brushing against yours. “Not when you’re looking at me like that.”
“Like what?”
“Like I’m the only one in the world.”
You huff a laugh, but it’s shaky, like you’re holding something back. “Charles, you just won in Monza. You are the only one in the world right now.”
“No,” he says, his voice soft but certain. “No, that’s not it. That’s not it at all.”
Your eyes search his, and he knows you’re trying to figure out what he means, trying to understand why he threw caution to the wind. He doesn’t know how to explain it, doesn’t know how to put into words the way you make him feel. How you make everything else fade away, how you’re the only thing that matters in a world that’s constantly spinning out of control.
“Charles,” you start, but the sound of Lando’s voice cuts through the moment, sharp and incredulous.
“What the hell is this?”
Charles stiffens, his hand still wrapped around yours, and he turns to find Lando staring at the two of you like he’s just been slapped. There’s a mix of confusion and anger on his face, his eyes darting between you and Charles as he tries to make sense of what he’s seeing.
“Lando, I-” you begin, but Lando’s not having it.
“How long?” He demands, his voice tight with the effort of keeping it together. “How long has this been going on?”
Charles opens his mouth to answer, but you beat him to it, your voice steady even as your hand trembles slightly in his grip. “A few months,” you admit, and Charles can feel the weight of those words, the way they hang in the air between the three of you.
“A few months?” Lando repeats, incredulous. “And you didn’t think to tell me? Either of you?”
“Lando, I wanted to, I swear, but-”
“But what? You thought it’d be fun to keep me in the dark?” Lando’s voice rises, and Charles can see the hurt behind the anger, the betrayal that’s twisting his features. “You’re my sister. And you-” He turns on Charles, his eyes blazing. “You’re supposed to be my friend.”
“I am,” Charles says quickly, his voice earnest. “I am your friend, Lando. This … this wasn’t meant to hurt you.”
“Then what was it meant to do?” Lando shoots back, his frustration palpable. “Because right now, it feels a hell of a lot like betrayal.”
You flinch at the word, and Charles feels it like a punch to the gut. He takes a step forward, his free hand reaching out toward Lando. “Lando, listen-”
“No,” Lando snaps, stepping back out of reach. “I don’t want to hear it. I don’t want to hear any of it.” He runs a hand through his hair, his chest heaving as he tries to get a grip on his emotions. “I just … I need a minute, okay? I need to think.”
There’s a moment of silence, thick with tension, and then Lando turns on his heel and walks away, leaving you and Charles standing there, the weight of what just happened settling in.
Charles squeezes your hand, his heart pounding. “I’m sorry,” he murmurs, his voice raw. “I’m so sorry, I didn’t mean-”
“I know,” you interrupt, your voice soft but firm. “I know.” You turn to face him, your eyes searching his. “But we have to deal with this now. We can’t just … ignore it.”
He nods, the reality of the situation sinking in. The euphoria of the win is fading, replaced by the cold, hard truth. Lando knows. The secret’s out. And now, there’s no going back.
“What do we do?” Charles asks, his voice barely above a whisper.
You take a deep breath, your hand slipping out of his so you can cup his face, your touch grounding him in a way that nothing else can. “We talk to him,” you say, your voice steady despite everything. “We explain. And we hope he understands.”
Charles nods again, leaning into your touch, letting it soothe the anxiety that’s bubbling up inside him. “Yeah,” he says quietly. “Yeah, we’ll talk to him.”
You smile, but it’s tinged with sadness, and it breaks his heart a little. “This wasn’t how I wanted him to find out,” you admit, your thumb brushing against his cheekbone. “But we’ll get through it. We have to.”
Charles closes his eyes, letting the warmth of your touch chase away the cold fear that’s gripping him. “I love you,” he says, the words slipping out before he can stop them.
He feels you freeze for a moment, and his heart skips a beat as he realizes what he’s just said. But then your hand tightens on his face, and when he opens his eyes, you’re looking at him with a softness that makes his chest ache.
“I love you too,” you whisper, and it’s like everything else falls away, leaving just the two of you in this moment, in this space.
He leans in, pressing a soft, lingering kiss to your forehead, his heart swelling with emotions he can’t quite name. When he pulls back, his eyes search yours, and he finds the strength he needs there — steady, unwavering.
“We’ll get through this,” you say again, your voice a quiet promise.
He nods, his heart settling back into a steady rhythm. “Together,” he whispers, a small, determined smile tugging at his lips.
You smile back, and in that moment, with the chaos of the world swirling around you, Charles knows one thing for certain: as long as he has you by his side, everything else will fall into place.

where's the trophy? he just comes running over to me .ᐟ - lh 44
After a hundred fucking three races, and nine hundred twenty two races since Lewis won. He won finally, but most especially the British Grand Prix. Sure, people would tease you and make fun of you with words such as "he's out of his game", "he's lost", "why even date him?" but did you listen? no. never.
British Grand Prix 2024, most awaited race of the season, your gut and instincts were never wrong and Lewis is still amazed by that. Which is why when Lewis was topping during free practices you never doubted him once. God, you prayed so hard that Mercedes wouldn't touch the car and they didn't.
Most especially, Saturday, Qualifying Day. You were beyond ecstasy, you could've sworn you and Lewis' mom practically screamed and jumped from happiness, but hey let's not jump into conclusions. Max said, classic Max.
Race Day was the most waited ever, during the race you were flush of emotions, and Lewis' brother making fun of you (in a good way) wasn't helpful. From tears, to frown, to anger you had every emotion especially when Lewis would lead the race━well you've learned not to expect but what kind of wag would you be if you didn't.
Chequered flag, the world around you froze, all you could think about was Lewis, the whole garage screamed from joy and happiness, you just stood there smiling and crying. You were so proud, everyone was.
Sadly you weren't able to greet Lewis, you had to go upfront to save positions and so you and Lewis' family were actually in front. Then it started, you smile happily as you blow Lewis a kiss from above as he winks at you, smiling back with pure love.
Eventually, they started giving the trophies and medals. Suddenly when Pete Kyle MP was about to hand the trophy and give Lewis the medal he ran away. He ran downstairs, downstairs to you. Sure, it was probably against the rules but when has Lewis ever followed the rules?
You couldn't believe it, Lewis' mom who had her arm wrapped around yours smiled, her soft voice making your ears perk as everyone tries to find Lewis.
"where's the trophy? he just comes running over to me " you giggle, seeing Lewis run to you. His large soft hands cup your face, he stares into your eyes for a few moments before he presses his lips against yours. "Who the hell needs that trophy when i have you? My trophy." He murmurs, arms wrapping around you as he pulls you out of the barrier and into his arms.
That was a record moment for podium ceremonies in F1, cameras everywhere took pictures and recorded the moment. F1 didn't seem to care, you were the his trophy, the trophy of the winning race well to Lewis. No wonder why you're the best and favorite wag ever.
a/n: im back! might do a smau sequel for this ><

Mama McLaren
A/n:: Mark is my favourite F1 dilf. During the making of this I accidentally posted it so this took me even longer than it should have 😝, I also had an insane writer's block, i got this request many months ago and I've only just got around to finishing it. Mixed with this request here!
Pairings:: Mark Webber x Reader, Oscar Piastri x Reader, Lando Norris x Reader
Summary:: Y/n Webber starts to act very motherly towards the McLaren boys
Genre:: Fluff
Warnings:: There aren't any
@pear-1206
Driver x Reader Masterlist Monzaaasharl
It was the third race of the season, but it wasn't just any race, oh no, it was the Australian Grand Prix. Not only was it your husband's home race but also the driver he manages.
Oscar, he was like a son to you with the amount of time he spent with your little family. Well little as in you, your husband, your 21 year old son Noah, and your 17 year old daughter Jasmine.
The Australian Grand Prix was something that the Webber family always looked forward to. And this year, just like the last, you'd be watching the race from the McLaren garage.
"Have you got everything both of you?", you asked your two kids knowing they would forget something.
"Yeah, we've got everything, mum", you received as a response.
"Come on, we don't want to be late now", Mark said knowing fully well there was not a possibily they would be late, but wanted them to get there early to cha to the McLaren boys and give them a small pep talk.
After a peaceful drive in the car through the city, you finally arrived at the paddock.
You made your way through the paddock in your small group, and ended up in the McLaren hospitality.
"How's it goin' you two?" Mark said when he spotted the papaya drivers.
Oscar and Lando both turned around when they heard the familiar voice of the older aussie man.
"Yeah not too bad"
"Everything's going pretty well so far"
"Well we'll just be around if you boys want us", Mark said to both the McLaren boys, not wanting to distract them too much before the race.
"Good luck boys, i know you're going to do amazing", you always felt quite protective over them both.
"Yeah, good luck mate", Noah
"Good luck"
"See ya"
"See you after"
⋆˚✿˚⋆
After an intense Grand Prix and a mix of emotions after seeing Max was out, you found yourself still in the McLaren garage after your husband had left you quickly for the podium ceremony.
Lando had finished third which definitely made you proud, but seeing Oscar so close and just missing out on the podium positions it made you just the slightest bit sad.
When you saw him come back to the garage you made sure to tell him how proud you were of him. He ended up staying with you, Jasmine, and Noah while watching the podium celebrations.
"You did amazing this race, I hope you know that"
"Thank you, I just wish that I could've got onto the podium"
You knew it made him a bit upset knowing he was so close to a podium finish for his home race.
When Mark came back from the podiums he made sure to congratulate Oscar on his race and tell him how well he did even if Oscar didn't feel like he did good enough.
"You did good mate, don't let it bring you down"
"I won't, don't worry"
Oscar made his way to his own family leaving you lot alone.
"Y'know, I always thought after you retired I wouldn't have to worry about someone else racing"
Your husband laughed at your comment and gave you sweet kiss, much to your kids disgust. It didn't matter how old they got, they still didn't like it.

forty, love | part 2 | natasha romanoff
part 2 of forty, love | read part 3
synopsis: you lost, and natasha got what she wanted. or that's what you thought, at least.
natasha romanoff x tennis player! reader
word count: 4.6k words
a/n: did y'all think i would leave you hanging just like that? come on now, i would never do that :D
masterlist
for the few seconds after the match, as the umpire announced the score officially, and declaring princeton as the winners, you were numb. there was nothing but ringing in your ears, no emotions, no feelings. you had simply laid your racket down on the court then, walking off with nothing but the ringing, and numbness, within.
you almost couldn’t remember anything during the prize-giving ceremony. how you stood on a podium only slightly shorter than the winner, how you were handed a silver trophy instead of a gold one, how the organisers smiled at you warmly, still managing to utter a “congratulations”. you didn’t remember if you even bothered smiling in the photographs they took.
then came the low hum. it sounded almost like white noise, but it was there. a low hum of something whirring around you, it could have been your coach, or your teammates, or even people squeezing in to try to get an autograph from you as you made your way to your dressing room. none of it mattered. it felt like you were walking on clouds, almost weightless as your feet carried you automatically to where you needed to be. you swiped your card against the door, and entered. it locked with a click after.
hunched over and your head in your hands was how natasha found you. she had begged the guards to let her into your dressing room when you had refused to open the door for anyone else, and reluctantly, knowing who she was to you, they had let her. the room was silent when she entered, you almost looked like a statue.
it was her turn to drop to her knees, facing you and trying to coax you to look at her. natasha managed to lift your head enough to see you, but not enough to look at her. she thought it was best to just lay your head on her shoulder, rocking you in comfort, in that position for a while. there were no tears against her shirt this time, strangely.
five minutes passed. she knew it would possibly take longer, but then your hands were on hers, tearing yourself away from her touch. natasha wanted to smile as she saw the beautiful hue in your eyes again.
but then, you said, “you should leave.”
natasha didn’t even feel like she deserved to feel used, because she had done this to herself. she had asked for this, she had threatened to leave you first. she bit her lip, and shook her head slowly. “no, no, no.”
“natasha, please leave.”
i hadn’t meant what i said, i wasn’t…baby, i’m not leaving you.” suddenly, the truth of what she had said had become too terrifying to confront. of course she hadn’t meant it. of course she didn’t intend on leaving you. not like this. not just for something as stupid as this. how could she leave you just because you had lost on a single point in a match? didn’t you know her better than this?
natasha scrambled to her feet when you stood first, face devoid of any emotion. she thought it was less scary when you at least cried after losing. you made your way over to the trophy resting atop the vanity table, picked it up and shoved it towards natasha, and spat, “you didn’t have to say it out loud to mean it.”
then, natasha watched as you collected the rest of your items, and approached the door. she was still in shock, and remorse, but she knew at least, that if she allowed you to walk out this time, she would possibly never see you again. and so she gave chase, and before the door could unlock and you could step out, her arms were around your waist, her front pressed to your back, begging you to stay.
“wait, wait, please. you have to listen to me–”
“–there is nothing to listen to,” you didn’t understand why she was even trying to hold on, “we’re done. it’s over. i lost, you will leave. you made it very clear, and i have accepted this fate even before you said it out loud. we both know we’re done, so can you just make it easier and let me leave?”
“no, we were o-okay, we were good. why are you suddenly…?”
then, you turned to face her. “were we? tell me you see this playing out any better than it did today. tell me you would have really stayed.”
at her stunned silence, you took it as your confirmation. unlocking the door and pushing her off of you, you spared one last look at her, tears streaming down her cheeks and a hurt expression you would have killed to apologise for in the past, and said, “i hope you find someone better. someone who would always win for you.”
when natasha returned to your shared hotel room later on, she found that you had packed up all of your things and checked out early. your coach was kind enough to tell her that you had returned back to your dorms first. then, he gave her a sympathetic look, and told her that she shouldn’t try to find you, because you had advised your building security not to let her in.
–
a week after the match, however, natasha received a call from you. she was in the middle of waiting for the results of a scholarship interview, but it didn’t stop her from racing down the stairs, bursting out into the open lawn, and praying for complete silence so she could hear your voice better.
“hello…?” you realised she sounded hopeful, almost happy that you called.
“hi, natasha. can we meet?”
you were to come over to her dorm later that evening. you wanted to discuss some things, natasha heard it as you wanting to give your relationship a second chance. you offered to bring her dinner as a peace offering, she heard it as your invitation for a reconciliation date. she declined and told you she would be cooking for you both. you ended the call with a noncommittal grunt. she felt like the heavens had blessed her with a second chance.
when she went home, she deep-cleaned her room, went out to get a bouquet of your favourite flowers, and even enlisted the help of her friends to help cook and set up a candlelit dinner for the both of you. she made sure everything was perfect, down to a T, and she was going to make sure that you wouldn’t regret giving her a second chance.
you arrived ten minutes late in a t-shirt and jeans, and looking around at the setup of the room, the dim romantic lighting and the steak dinners on the makeshift table in her corner, it was then that you noticed natasha too, was in a dress that you always told her made her look like a million dollars.
she was moving on fast, you thought. a dinner date right after your unloading of the last of her things? perhaps the natasha you knew was not really the natasha that was in front of you then. you couldn’t control the annoyance, “guess you’ve moved on, then?”
the sneer on your face disappeared the moment you looked back at her. she was staring at the box full of her things that were cradled in your arms, tears threatening to fall from her eyes at the sight of it all. that’s when you realised. it was all for you.
you almost backed out. almost put the box down, shoved it back to where it belonged, strewn about your room and laying with your own belongings, and dropped to your knees in front of her. almost began repeating your usual i’m sorry, i’m sorry, forgive me, i love you in a million different ways, almost asking her to rethink all that had been done in the past week altogether. you almost went right back to her arms, wiping her tears and apologising for making her cry.
but you couldn’t do it. not anymore. natasha wasn’t yours now, and you were nothing to her. you needed to move on, you needed to be strong. so you gripped onto the box harder, and got on with what you wanted to say.
“i’m sorry i ended things that way…in such a crude manner…during the finals. you didn’t deserve that, and i was so vexed and caught up in the heat of the moment. our separation…it should’ve been done better.”
natasha didn’t know how else it could have been done better. how else you could have broken up with her that didn’t involve her getting her heart ripped out.
but you were steady, the words memorised and practised over and over in your head, natasha knew. “i came here, not to fix things or to try again at something we both know isn’t going to work. i’m sorry if i gave you that impression. but i want us to remain cordial, at the very least, and not hate each other. not that i could ever hate you, because…” you cleared the lump in your throat at natasha beginning to weep, “...because you were my best friend, my motivation, my…everything, for almost all of my college life here. so, i think we deserve it, we both deserve at least remaining friendly with each other, for the past 3 years we have shared. i don’t regret it, and i hope you didn’t either.”
natasha was choking up with tears by then, the makeup on her face running down her cheeks as she desperately tried to hold herself, to stop the goddamn tears from flowing like a river. it was so embarrassing. your lips were bleeding with how hard you were biting them, but you remained strong. you wanted nothing more than to beg for her forgiveness, for her to take you back, to tell you that you were wrong and that she loved you despite it all and that she was never going to leave you ever again, but you couldn’t. you had to harshly remind yourself that she had moved on, and you should too.
you gently laid the box by her bed, your shirt that had become hers over the years at the top of it, the only thing that you found hardest to let go of. it was yours, but you thought it was only fair that she had it. natasha sat on the bed, watching you stare at the shirt for a minute wistfully.
when you managed to pull yourself out of it, you turned back to her, the silent question ringing in the air. “you can um…keep my stuff. or throw it in the trash, burn it, give it away, whatever. it’s okay, you don’t need to return it back.”
natasha already knew she would be keeping all of it, for at least years after this.
you prepared to leave, taking one last look at the room you had spent so many nights in, made so many happy memories in, and smiled softly at natasha. she tried to mirror one back, but another tear fell, and she gave up altogether. she didn’t get up from her spot on the bed.
“what are you going to do now…?” her voice was shaky, afraid.
you shrugged. “the same things i have always done. tennis, college, aiming to win a grand slam. nothing much changes.”
except everything else had changed.
–
when you started performing considerably better, returning to the winning ways that everyone doubted you could ever get back to, you noticed more of your critics keeping their mouths shut, and more of the college’s funding being used to support your career. you were handpicked to represent the school for matches, and nobody had to worry about making a bad investment. nine times out of ten, you won. and when you lost, the audience noticed that no rackets were smashed anymore, no longing looks to the first row of the crowds in embarrassment and worry. you simply shook the bad result off, and returned the next round even stronger.
it was almost like a whole new player had been unveiled from the cocoon of what was shrouding her potential.
one night, hours before a match with a veteran player, you were up late in your room throwing a tennis ball against your door and catching it continuously, unable to sleep. it had been exactly six months after your breakup, and you rarely saw natasha around in school. you had heard from one source that she was back with her ex from the basketball team, then another that she was with someone else, then from another that she was with steve rogers, still. it didn’t matter; natasha never had an issue with finding suitors.
you would be lying if you didn’t miss her. some days, you stared into the empty space in your bed that you would often wake her up in on game days, and she would coax you to sleep in on bad days. you missed having someone to celebrate your wins with, even someone to encourage you when you were losing sets and games after. sometimes, you missed her so much that you wondered if it was worth it to even break it off at all, and if you would be happier if you had let her stay by your side.
thwock. distracted, your ball misses the target of your door, and hits the hinge. it ricochets off, and rolls underneath your dresser. you sighed, getting up to retrieve it back. as you bent down to the gap between the dresser and the ground, however, something else greeted you first.
it was a framed photograph of you and natasha, the last one that you had forgotten to pack and return to her. the both of you were at a new year’s eve party, kissing just as the ball dropped for the new year. a tight, restrictive force had found its way around your throat, as you flipped the dusty frame over to find out wishes you had written together to achieve in the new year.
yours had been a stupid one liner: To win a grand slam soon!
natasha’s handwriting was beautiful. your thumb grazed over it lovingly. her wish had made you shut your eyes for a minute after, choking down the feelings it evoked.
To love my girlfriend through it all.
her contact number was left on your phone’s display that night, as you finally fell asleep after contemplating calling her for another hour after that.
–
somewhere between graduation and your career flourishing, you qualified for the Australian Open, and was steadily moving up the rounds. by the time graduation day rolled around, the whole college inevitably knew who you were, and the bright future that awaited you.
natasha watched as you were given a minute or two to thank the college and its tennis department for their support for the past four years. her gaze twinkled in wistful remorse as she clapped the loudest within her section when you thanked the school one final time, and bowed upon receiving your degree.
there was even a mini autograph session at the end, as you laughed bashfully when a group of students crowded around you for pictures and autographs in view of your success in the games. natasha, watching from afar, realised that this was the happiest she had seen you in a while, and swallowed the bitter confrontation that she was not there to be happy with you.
she paced back and forth for a while, contemplating if she should do it, if it was worth it for her to try, but eventually, she worked up the courage to queue a little behind the other students, in hopes of saying a final goodbye to you. it was hard to find an opening, even harder to swallow her jealousy when she sees a girl slipping her number into your gown pocket after taking a picture with you.
but then you saw her, at the back of the crowd, pacing nervously, and your eyes locked. you thought she still looked so cute in her nervousness, and a little sad at seeing her in a gown mirroring yours, but not saying goodbye to college together. you wanted to put the pen and tennis ball you were signing down, and run up to her to scoop her in your arms to tell her you were sorry, and that you wanted her to take you back, but you couldn’t. you couldn’t do any of the sort, not anymore.
instead, natasha then saw you shake your head ever-so-slightly, telling her a silent no. you were telling her not to come any closer, and although she was holding onto something you couldn’t see that she tried to raise up, to tell you that she had wanted to give it to you, you still didn’t have the willpower to let her come over. if she did, it was over for you. you would have folded so easily.
natasha had no choice but to back away. on her way home, she threw the letter she had handwritten over sleepless nights and eyes full of tears, to wish you good luck and goodbye for the last time in your lives, into the trash can by her dorm.
–
game, set, match. and she advances!
incredible, what this player, who, not too long ago, was in the danger zone of not even qualifying for local challenger rounds, is now beating the likes of one of the greatest talents in our generation!
simply amazing. she’s booked herself another round.
you had beaten nearly all of your childhood idols at that point, when the magazines began painting you as tennis’ new prodigy and opponents began asking you to go easy on them before matches. people you never even dreamt of meeting, and then playing against, coming to shake your hand as you beat them round after round. to say you were overwhelmed, and eternally grateful, was an understatement. to become tennis’ next big thing at that stage in your career was something you could have only dreamed of. your career was taking off and the money was rolling in, and naturally, all eyes were on you.
however, the success and fame in your professional career didn’t necessarily translate to one in your personal one, when you found yourself still swiping through potential matches on dating apps, while waiting for your own date in the bathroom. when she returned, she steered the conversation to what you were doing for a living, and you caught yourself from rolling your eyes at the question.
i’m an accountant. i work in real estate. occasionally, you told them, a big data analyst. not a tennis player, never a tennis player. you refused to make the same mistake in your college years over again; you refused to reopen and revisit the scars that natasha left you years ago.
you told this one you were a data analyst, and she had bought it wholeheartedly. but when your drinks finished and more people returned after their days away to the hotel bar, a fan in a cap designed with your initials as the logo audibly gasped when he saw you, and naturally approached for a photo together. your date was taken aback, but you didn’t give her much time to react, placing your arm around her waist and walking the both of you out, under the guise of wanting to walk her home.
it turned out to be an even worse plan, however, when right around where she lived, was the biggest billboard you could have possibly gotten for your campaign with a luxury watch company. your face plastered right where she could see in plain view, she took a moment to look at it, then at you, then at it, then gasping too. you bit your lip and cringed.
“why didn’t you tell me?! god, i’m going out with a celebrity!” she was more ecstatic than you had been after beating your opponent in the round last week.
you shrugged. safe to say there wasn’t a second date after that one.
–
ranking in the top ten of the US Open by then, you were often asked about your relationships and your personal life. it frustrated the media to receive the answer that you were incredibly private, and constantly refused to divulge anything about it.
natasha was watching you on the television one day, and the question arose again. the interviewer had asked who you would credit as the reason for your success after all this while. she must have been in the universe’s favour, or the stars had aligned right at the perfect time, because she caught the very telecast that caught you cracking the little bit of the facade you had built up after college.
you gave the interviewer a polite smile, and she looked like she was ready to give up, prepared to hear about your evasion of the question and request for another. but this time…this time, you indulged, and said, “my ex-girlfriend, from back in college.”
natasha’s world stopped. she immediately screamed for her roommate to stop her singing in the shower, and turned up the volume of the television. the interviewer asked for more details about natasha, you were kind enough to tell her that you didn’t know if natasha was comfortable with being made public, and in respect of her privacy, that she be kept anonymous. the ones who knew, would know.
“and where is she now…? this, wonderful, ex-girlfriend of yours. why is she no longer a girlfriend anymore?”
you looked down for a moment, smiling sadly. “um, i don’t know, honestly. we don’t keep in touch anymore, but i hope that wherever she is, she is happy. and i want her to know that i will always be thankful for what she’s done for me, and that i loved her very much.”
the telecast cut to shots of you signing more caps and tennis balls shortly after. natasha didn’t even realise the steady stream of tears that had been flowing down her cheeks.
she screamed in frustration, and sadness, as she threw the remote forwards, knocking over a row of memorabilia and your tennis merchandise. there were rows and rows of tennis balls, caps, and little racket figurines purchased from your team that natasha had embarrassingly collected, as if having even small, tiny pieces of you was better than having none of you at all. the tennis balls were signed, but bought from resellers that natasha paid too much for, all while glowering with envy that these people, of all people, had the chance to meet you, talk to you, and get a hand-signed ball that they only intended to ever make a quick buck off.
steve had made fun of her once, that instead of spending hundreds for some marker ink on a ball, that she could have picked up the phone and just called you for one instead, but as she told him off for being so dismissive of her feelings, and yours, he quickly cowered in fear after. she didn’t want to disturb your peace, and winning streak, and had unfortunately settled for loving and supporting you from afar.
–
at the final round of the US Open, natasha’s employer had noticed her eyes poring over the office’s large-screen coverage of the grand slam for the past few weeks, and took pity on her, giving her passes to cover the finals on behalf of the company as a reward for all of her ground-breaking pieces for the year. in all of the years natasha had worked there, she had never felt so insurmountably happy, yet bone-crushingly nervous, upon being informed of the news.
it didn’t help that up from where she was, in the tiny box that was her luxury hospitality suite, she had practically a front-row view of your entire match. her eyes followed your hands, as they first shook hands by the net with the opponent, the reigning champion of the previous US Open, as they tightened your laces and prepared themselves for the gruelling match ahead, as they finally picked up the racket.
the last time natasha had watched a game of yours in person was in college. and right then, she was suddenly overwhelmed, with the nostalgia, and awe, that you carried yourself with, upon coming onto the court. your gait and waves had been the same, but the expression on your face, a little older, a little wiser, was now more polite, and less smug, no doubt hammered up by the tons of media training that you had been put through. your stance was even more fierce, and confident, than ever before. and when you played, oh boy, when you played, natasha, much like everyone else, was in a trance. they knew they had just bought tickets for a thriller, whenever you played.
college you and professional you were two different persons on two different sides of the same coin.
thwock. “in!” you dominated the first set.
the ball soared, and soared, and landed. the way you hit it back over the net activated the sensors, even though natasha was confident that her own two eyes saw the ball go over it. the umpire told you that you had touch the net, the crowd booed in disapproval, and you tried reasoning back. his word was final, and natasha had expected you to retort back even more fiercely, with an insult for him at the tip of your tongue, or a spiteful you don’t know how to play tennis that you would spit at him, but there was none of it.
natasha should have known, from all of the matches of you she watched. you had grown up, and matured. and this time, you simply kept your head down, nodded, and returned to position. the point was not yours.
but you dominated the second set. the opponent took the third. and the fourth. it was the last set then.
natasha’s hands were pressed up on the glass, watching you serve. it hit within the line by a few millimetres, but the opponent was just as quick, whacking it straight back, forcing you to a volley. but your feet recovered, and soon enough, you were controlling the pace and momentum of the game. it became apparent who was going to be the clear winner of the day.
thwock. when the final serve, the serve that mattered most to the both of you, and was a match point, was raised, natasha felt her eyes widening as it hit the racket, and travelled incredibly slowly to your side of the court. you raised your racket, expression set to hit it back, when suddenly, she saw it. the crack of a smile.
you lowered the racket. the ball was out. you had officially won the US Open.
natasha remembered screaming, jumping, pumping her fists in the air. she must have looked like a mad woman, being the only journalist to be celebrating like a diehard fan up in that box, but she didn’t care. none of them knew you like she did, none of them would ever know you like she did.
she thought that for a moment, you had looked up to her then, finding her in the crowd and making eye contact. her breath caught in her throat, but just as quickly, you looked away, and allowed the crowd to sing in your praises. it must have been a figment of natasha’s imagination.
a/n: sorry it got a bit too long, i might just consider a part 3 now hehe. but it looks like R is not the only one down bad for the other. who do you think has it worse for the other between these two?

VICIOUS! ── ˙ ̟ the echo !!
𝐬𝐮𝐦𝐦𝐚𝐫𝐲 :: arthur leclerc likes a certain type of woman: smart, neglects intuition, and not as good as him.
𝐚𝐮𝐭𝐡𝐨𝐫'𝐬 𝐧𝐨𝐭𝐞 :: set in 2021, during echo's formula 3 season. they're both jerks to each other here :/ based on vicious by sabrina carpenter (emails i cant send pretty much defines their relationship). this is short but it's important for her future relationship with a certain someone | i used echo instead of y/n here, but tell me which one you prefer
𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐝 𝐜𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐭 :: 2.09k
"I TRIED TO LOOK FOR THE BEST IN THE WORST BUT LIKE, FUCK ME, THAT CAUSED A COMMOTION."
As the evening progresses in Austria, the bustling noises of the city begin to fade into the background, replaced by the occasional murmur of distant conversations and the gentle swish of car tires on the damp pavement. The scent of rain lingers in the air, mixing with the subtle aroma of pine carried by a cool breeze from the nearby mountains. The warmth of the day still lingers, but it's now more tolerable, just a faint reminder of earlier heat.
Arthur paces back and forth on the soft carpet beneath his bare feet, his footsteps creating a restless rhythm that echoes in his mind. Every so often, he runs his fingers along the curtains, feeling the delicate and cool fabric against his skin. But it's as if he's only scratching at the surface of the problem consuming him.
The third stage of the Formula 3 championship went off without a hitch for the three races. Arthur claimed the fastest lap in the second race, while Y/N took home first place in that same race. Prema and Art teams were locked in a heated competition for points during the first half of the championship, with the French team ultimately taking the lead after Frederik Vesti's win at the last race in the Red Bull Ring.
Throughout that weekend, Arthur barely spoke to her. Despite being swamped with commitments such as hectic meetings, exhaustive tests, and endless interviews, they used to make an effort to connect even if it was just a quick call. However, her messages were always met with prolonged periods of silence before receiving a brief and unenthusiastic response, leaving her feeling confused and frustrated. Every attempt to call resulted in reaching voicemail without any explanation or apology for his absence.
Despite her victory in the second race, he was not one of the people who congratulated her. He also did not attend the podium ceremony for the third race, where she secured an important second place for her team. She had sent him messages, but he only responded with a short "thank you" for her congratulations on earning extra points for setting the fastest lap. He completely ignored her invitation to join her and some other drivers in a celebration.
She finally couldn't take the silence any longer and broke it with frustration. "Can we at least talk? We're not kids anymore, Arthur," she said, sitting on his cluttered bed.
"Are you leaving for France tomorrow?" Arthur asked quietly, still refusing to look at her as he packed his suitcase.
"No. Fernando wants me to go to Madrid and then Silverstone with him during my break. The team doesn't need me at the factory, so I have some free time," Y/N replied with a heavy sigh, feeling the tension between them.
She received only a grunt as a response, which was enough for her to know that it was time to speak up. "Are you going to turn around and actually use words, or are you going to keep grunting like some kind of primitive?" Her voice held a mix of determination and disappointment, reflecting her growing frustration with the lack of communication between them.
Arthur spun on his heels and made his way slowly towards Y/N, his face betraying a medley of conflicting emotions. She stood up from the bed, keeping a close eye on his expression in anticipation of what might happen next.
Their relationship was still new; they had met at a party thrown by a mutual friend who was also one of her teammates. That night, everything seemed to align perfectly for their chance encounter, and the initial spark of attraction quickly grew into something more profound. Through casual touches, shared smiles, and intimate conversations about their interests and preferences, they were building the fragile yet promising foundations of their relationship.
He paused, his mouth opening and closing as if searching for the perfect words to express himself. She watched with curiosity, waiting for him to speak.
"Why didn't you let me overtake you?" Arthur asked, sounding unsure.
The girl furrowed her eyebrows, trying to comprehend his question. She repeated it in her head, trying to understand the underlying meaning. "What do you mean?"
Arthur seemed annoyed by her confusion and scrunched his face in response. "In yesterday's race. I was right behind you, but you wouldn't move out of the way."
Her arms automatically crossed in front of her chest, her tone becoming defensive. She didn't like where this conversation was headed. "Why should I let you pass, Arthur? I don't remember breaking any rules to earn my spot."
Arthur released a frustrated sigh, feeling the tension between them escalating with each word they exchanged. He closed the distance between them, hoping to find some understanding in her eyes.
"I'm not accusing you of breaking any rules, cherie." His tone softened, attempting to diffuse the situation. "I just want to know why you didn't make room for me to pass. It seemed like you were intentionally blocking me."
Y/N felt the weight of Arthur's words as an accusation, and it only added to her growing frustration. She couldn't believe they were having this argument now, when there was so much at stake for both of them.
"Of course I was blocking you! We're competitors, remember?" Her voice was firm, but she laced it with a confused laugh. "My team needs those points. I need those points. Why would I let you have them?"
Arthur took a step back, caught off guard by the intensity of Y/N's response. He looked both surprised and disappointed, struggling to process her strong emotions.
"I just thought you would understand," he muttered, his voice trailing off as if he regretted speaking at all. Unable to meet her gaze, he turned away.
She felt a surge of anger within her, a mix of frustration and sadness. She was taken aback that Arthur would question her integrity on the track, especially considering their intimate relationship off of it.
"Understand?" She repeated, each word dripping with disbelief. "Arthur, I want that title just as much as you do. It's not my responsibility to make it easy for you or anyone else. You know that."
There was a tense moment of silence between them, punctuated only by the distant sounds of the city outside. Y/N felt a pang in her chest at the feeling that something was unraveling between them, something that might never be fully repaired.
"I know," he replied, his voice betraying a hint of weakness. "But I thought we were more than just competitors."
Her expression softened briefly, a flicker of sadness crossing her features before she steeled herself with determination.
"Arthur, I can't sacrifice my career for our relationship," she said, her voice softening slightly. "We both knew what we were getting into when we started dating."
Arthur's voice turned defensive as he tried to justify his actions. "Don't you think it would have been better if I had won?" He glanced at his girlfriend, his eyes pleading for understanding. "You're still new to this category; there will be other chances for you."
She raised her eyebrows, her gaze unwavering and intense. "So, you're saying it would be acceptable for me to lose simply because I'm a rookie?" Her tone was sharp, like a blade cutting through the air.
Arthur paused, searching for the right words to explain himself. "No, that's not what I meant," he stammered, but Y/N cut him off.
"Did you give the same speech to all the other rookies too?" her sarcasm evident.
Arthur's discomfort flickered across his face before he turned back to meet her unwavering stare. "The other rookies aren't in a relationship with me," he retorted with a hint of harshness.
Y/N fell silent, digesting his words. Then, she stepped closer to him, locking eyes with determination.
"Tell me honestly, Arthur," she began calmly yet emotion thick in her voice. "Did you want me to let you win because I'm a rookie or because I'm your girlfriend?"
Her question hit Arthur like a punch to the gut, leaving him struggling to find the right words. He couldn't hide from the truth any longer.
"I…I'm not sure," he finally managed to say, his voice barely above a whisper as uncertainty and vulnerability seeped through. "Maybe it's a bit of both."
Her expression hardened, her eyes showing disappointment and frustration in equal measure. She had expected more from him, hoped that he would acknowledge his own flaws and confront them head-on.
"So you don't trust me as a competitor, as a driver?" she asked, her voice betraying a slight tremor of emotion that she was trying to contain.
Arthur's heart raced as he met her intense gaze. He knew his words had hurt her and shattered the trust she had in him.
"That's not what I meant, cherie." He struggled to find the right words, but they sounded hollow even to his own ears. "It's just…I don't know how to handle the fact that you're better than me."
She was filled with conflicting emotions. Part of her wanted to scream at him, to tell him that his insecurities were not her responsibility and she couldn't sacrifice her own ambitions for his approval. But at the same time, she felt a twinge of empathy for him, understanding that his insecurity came from a place of deep vulnerability.
"Arthur, I can't change who I am because of your doubts," she said firmly. "And I won't apologize for excelling at what I do."
Arthur's voice took on a smooth, almost patronizing tone, a subtle edge of superiority laced within his words. "You must be feeling quite pleased with yourself, wouldn't you agree?" he mused, his tone carrying a delicate sting. "Stepping onto the stage as a rookie and quickly grabbing the spotlight. Impressive, definitely, but experience and dedication? Those are qualities that develop over time, babe."
Her brow furrowed slightly, a mix of disbelief and hurt flickering across her features. "I just want us to understand each other," she started, her tone gentle yet resolute. "I'm not trying to belittle what you've achieved. But it's not about placing blame. If you truly have the experience and talent you speak of, shouldn't overtaking me come as second nature, without needing to ask?"
Arthur's cheeks flushed with a sudden surge of anger, the tension between them palpable. "You underestimate what it takes to rise to the top," he retorted sharply, bitterness creeping into his voice. "Talent is one thing, but true success in this realm requires more than just skill. Experience is the key that sets winners apart from the rest."
Her eyes narrowed subtly, a flicker of impatience dancing within them. "What makes you assume I lack dedication and experience?" she questioned calmly, her tone holding a hint of challenge. "Just because my journey in this sport hasn't been as long as yours doesn't diminish the effort I've put in."
Arthur emitted a dry chuckle, his resentment barely concealed. "You've had quite the advantageous start, haven't you?" he remarked, his voice tinged with bitterness. "You believe your familial connections and wealth entitle you to success? Reality doesn't operate on such privileges."
Her hands tightened into fists, a surge of defiance coursing through her. She refused to let his patronizing remarks undermine her accomplishments. Her voice remained composed yet firm, slicing through the tension. "Privileges? It's ironic coming from someone who's thrived under their brother's shadow," she countered, her gaze ablaze with determination. "You stand there, relying on your average talent to compensate for the countless doors opened by your surname."
Arthur's complexion deepened with a flush, a blend of shame and anger twisting his expression. He despised the constant comparisons to his brother, weary of residing in his sibling's imposing shadow. This resentment fueled his determination to establish his identity.
"I'm not my brother," he snapped with intensity.
She met his gaze steadily, her defiance unyielding. "No, you're not. And that's the problem," she countered sharply, her tone slicing through the air.
The atmosphere in the room was thick with tension, the air crackling with unspoken animosity as they stood facing each other. Her eyes burned with fury, her hands clenched tightly by her sides. She was done playing nice.
"I'm not carrying anyone's burdens," she spat, her voice dripping with venom. "I have my own stuff to deal with. You don't like the fact that your girlfriend is better than you? Consider this problem solved."

The Italian sun cast a golden glow over the Monza circuit, the vibrant energy of race day filling the air. The roar of engines and the cheers of fans echoed through the stands as you stood in the paddock, cradling Jack in your arms. Your little boy’s wide eyes sparkled with excitement as he took in the sights and sounds around him.
Toto stood beside you, his presence a comforting, steady force. He had one hand resting on your back, his thumb brushing gently against your shoulder, while his other hand lightly caressed Jack’s back. The three of you formed a close, intimate circle amid the flurry of race-day activity.
“You’re going to love this, Jack,” Toto murmured, leaning in closer so that only you and your son could hear. “Even though it’s not our day on the podium, it’s still going to be something special.”
Jack turned his head to look at his father, a curious expression on his face. “But why aren’t we winning, Papa?”
Toto smiled, his eyes warm as they met yours before he looked back at Jack. “Today, it’s someone else’s turn to win. And it’s important to be happy for them, even if we’re not the ones at the top. That’s what being part of a team is all about.”
You adjusted Jack in your arms, pressing a soft kiss to his forehead. “And we’re here to show our support, because everyone worked really hard today. It’s not always about winning, but about doing your best and being proud of that.”
The race was thrilling, each lap a testament to the skill and determination of the drivers. But as the checkered flag waved, it was clear that Mercedes wouldn’t be standing on the top step today. Charles Leclerc took the victory, with Oscar Piastri and Lando Norris rounding out the podium. The tifosi erupted in cheers, the sea of Ferrari red in the stands a sight to behold.
Toto exhaled softly, a mix of pride and acceptance in his expression. But when he looked at you, holding Jack so close, his gaze softened even more. “Let’s go to the podium,” he said, his voice gentle. “It’s important for Jack to see this.”
With Toto’s hand still on your back, guiding and supporting you, the three of you made your way to the podium area. Jack’s small hands clutched at your shirt as he took in the scene, his excitement palpable even in the midst of his curiosity.
As the drivers celebrated on the podium, the crowd’s cheers filling the air, Toto’s hand never left your back. His fingers traced soothing patterns, his way of grounding you both in the moment. Jack’s eyes were wide as he watched the champagne spraying, the sheer joy on the drivers’ faces a powerful image.
“They’re so happy,” Jack said softly, his voice full of wonder.
“They are,” Toto agreed, his voice equally soft as he leaned in to kiss the top of Jack’s head. “And we’re happy for them, right?”
Jack nodded, his little face lighting up with understanding. “Yeah, Papa. We are.”
After the podium ceremony, as the drivers came down to celebrate with their teams, you and Toto approached them with Jack still in your arms. Charles was the first to notice, his face breaking into a wide grin when he saw the three of you.
“Toto, Y/N, Jack!” Charles greeted warmly, crouching down to be at Jack’s level. “Did you enjoy the race, Jack?”
Jack nodded enthusiastically, a big smile on his face. “It was amazing! You were so fast!”
Charles chuckled, his gaze flickering up to you and Toto. “You’ve got a good one here,” he said, clearly charmed by Jack’s enthusiasm.
Oscar and Lando joined the group, their own smiles bright as they congratulated each other. You offered each of them a warm hug, Jack still secure in your arms, his little head resting on your shoulder now that the excitement was beginning to wear him out.
“Great job out there,” you said sincerely. “You all earned this today.”
Toto reached out, shaking hands with each driver, his respect evident. “Well done, all of you. This was your day.”
Lando grinned, his eyes flicking to Jack, who was fighting to stay awake in your arms. “Thanks, Toto. It’s nice to see you all here together. This is what it’s all about.”
As the celebration wound down, you and Toto stood together, watching the last of the crowd disperse. Jack had fallen asleep in your arms, his tiny breaths soft against your shoulder. Toto’s hand remained on your back, his presence as comforting as ever.
“Today was special,” you said quietly, leaning into him.
Toto nodded, his gaze tender as he looked at you and then down at your sleeping son. “It was. Not just because of the race, but because of what we’re teaching Jack. That it’s okay to not always be the one who wins, but to be happy for those who do.”
You smiled, feeling a deep sense of pride in the man beside you. “I’m proud of you, Toto. For the example you set, for the way you lead—both here and at home.”
Toto’s eyes softened as he leaned in, pressing a gentle kiss to your forehead. “We’re a team, Y/N. In everything. And today, we won in our own way.”

Being the girlfriend of a highly talented formula one driver definitely had its perks.
One of them was for an example, always immediately standing front row during the podium ceremony, proudly being able to watch your boyfriend win once again another race.
Next to him, on the second place was Lewis, while alonso got third place, also happily smiling down at the crowd just like your boyfriend, sebastian.
“He did it once again, huh?” Christian Horner, who stood next to you, mumbled in a quiet tone so that only you were able to hear it, making you smile even wider.
You nodded as you continued clapping with a proud grin, “of course he did it once again, he’s sebastian vettel, my sebastian vettel,” you added with a short laugh as you returned your gaze back to the podium, loudly cheering as they gave Lewis his medal, also being happy for him since the two of you are quite good friends.
But Sebastian noticed you clapping and cheering for his rival, making his blood boil, roughly clenching his fists behind his back and bite his inner cheek with a dark gaze before he briefly glanced over to the young Mercedes driver with an evil expression on his face.
An expression that you didn’t catch.
—
“How was the ceremony? As good as every time?” Sebastian asked you as he arrived in his drivers room where you were already waiting for him.
You nodded, “of course! Especially since you’ve done it once again, baby,” you put your arms around his neck and leaned in to kiss him but Sebastian quickly threw your arms off of his body and grabbed you by the neck, slamming you with a tiny bit of force against the wall.
You gasped, your eyes widening as he looked down at you with an unreadable expression on his face, the only thing you’ve noticed was how his eyes suddenly darkened.
“So we’re also cheering for the enemies now, huh? Cheering for other men, for the rivals of the only man you should be cheering for in the first place, hmm?” Sebastian tilted his head to the side as he watched how your eyes welled up with tears, making him roll his eyes.
He sighed, squeezing your throat with his big palm, “oh here come the waterworks again, who would have thought,” he muttered deeply as your entire body just shook with fear.
“I-I was only cheering for him b-because he’s my friend Sebastian, you k-know that,” you quickly replied with tears in your eyes, making sebastian furrows his brows.
“Oh?! Because Lewis is your friend, huh?! I see, I see, meine liebe,” my love, the German told you in a harsh but quiet tone before he swiftly put his hand on your chin, forcing your face closer to his.
Sebastian, stood up a bit straighter, making you appear even smaller than you already did, “You keep your goddamn eyes one me, you understand?” He raised his brows.
You gulped before you nodded, not being able to say anything now out of fear,
“I asked you a question and you’ll answer me when I ask you a question,” he squeezed your cheeks, making you gasp,
“Yeah, okay.. I-I understand, s-sebastian,” you innocently nodded along your words, at least as much as his tight grip on your face allowed.
He nodded along with his infamous smirk, “Good,” he whispered deeply, “good girl,” he leaned forward and kissed your forehead,
“Next time I catch you cheering for one of my rivals, I make sure that you’ll regret it, okay?”

Me and y/n have been friends for a few years now, ever since we met eachother during f2.
I’ve liked her for the same amount of time as I’ve known her and although it started off as a small crush has become a huge longing for her.
Her smile can light up the whole room. Her eyes filled with determination when she drives are mesmerising.
I was walking with my press officer going over my schedule for the day when I heard her angelic laugh.
I turned to find her bending over laughing with George Russel
Now everyone loves George. Who could not?
Watching her laugh like a maniac made insecure. What if she liked George? What if am not funny enough or good enough for her.
All these thoughts clouded my mind but were broken when my press officer snapped his fingers in front of my face
“Are you listening Charles?”
“Uh sorry I got uhm distracted”
“I can tell. You have some free time now, you can go talk to her. Maybe tell her how you feel”
I stared at him. Was it really that obvious to everyone?
“Yes. You’re constantly making heart eyes at her”
Shit I said that out loud
I walked up to her and George greeting them
“Hey guys!”
“Oh hey Charlie!” “Hey Charles!”
“How’s it going? What are you guys cackling about?”
“Oh it was literally so silly I tell you!”
“So this diva over here was complaining about the fact that’s he’s fucking lonely and needs a girlfriend.”
“And you know what this woman suggests? Her! Like tf? Bitch I am not dating your ass”
With that they both burst into a fit of giggles.
Hearing George say that she suggested that George date her made my heart sink down to my stomach
I couldn’t bear standing around her for much longer so I just left giving them some lame excuse
Reader pov:
I watched Charles hurriedly run away after George told him what we were talking about.
I felt upset that he left
I’ve liked him for a while and thought the feelings were reciprocated but with recent events I don’t think that’s the case anymore
“What’s up with him?”
“Ah the lads jealous. He didn’t think you were joking when you told me to date you to be less lonely”
Huh? Jealous?
“ I mean I’m not surprised. He will believe everything you say blindly, he’ll even jump off a bloody bridge if you told him to. He’s way too in love you”
“Are you sure about that?”
“I’m positive y/n. I’m really surprised you hadn’t noticed yet”
With that we both went our separate ways to prepare for the race
Time skip:
The race was over and I had finished p2 after my teammate max and above George in p3
Elated during the podium ceremony me and George hugged eachother
“You certainly are looking extra bright today? Is it because I’m on the podium with you this time?” George teased
I just shrugged and gave him a kiss on the cheek
“Maybe? It’s about time I shared about podium with you mate”
With that the champagne spraying began and me and max were determined to completely cover George in our champagne as it was one of the few times his tractor of a Mercedes made podium
After the ceremony and all the interviews I was in my drivers room getting changed and taking a shower planning to head out for a team celebration at some nightclub
I was putting on make up when I heard a knock on my door
I went to open it and saw Charles
“Hey”
“Hey, come in”
He sat himself down on my couch, constantly fidgeting with his hands which I knew was a nervous habit of his
“What wrong Charlie? You seem nervous”
“Uh-I uh” he stuttered seemingly trying to find words
“You don’t have to be scared. I won’t ever judge you”
I prayed it was nothing about him getting a girlfriend because he’d had a few of those and piecing his heart together after the nasty breakups were getting too much for me
He stood up and walked closer to me.
“I-I like you y/n. A lot. I’ve liked for many years now and I know you’re with George but I wouldn’t be able to live with myself if I didn’t tell you”
I was stunned at his confession. My brain was screaming at me to say something back but my body was frozen is shock and glee.
He seemed to have taken my silence as a rejection as he began to sadly walk away when I grabbed him by his collar and kissed him
He pulled away first
“What about George? Aren’t you with him?”
I looked at him confused
When were me and George ever a thing?
“I never liked him or dated him Charlie. It’s always been you”
With that he kissed me hard, passion radiating from both our bodies
He took my over to my couch and laid me down on it beginning to take off my clothes
“God you’re so beautiful how did I get so lucky?”
He kissed my neck leaving little love notes all over it
He took off his shirt and pants leaving him in his boxers revealing the raging bone he had
He took off his boxers while I got on my knees
I took his angry red tip in my mouth and started sucking him off
Groans and grunts left his mouth uncontrollably
“Mmph fuck your mouth is so good and you such me off so well baby. Such a good fucking girl
As I felt him twitch in my mouth ready to cum he pulled me off of his cock
I whined at the loss of cock in my mouth and looked at him confused
“I want to cum in you baby”
With that he aligned his cock with my pussy and in one powerful thrust inserted himself into me causing us both to let out loud moans of pleasure
He started fucking me hard and fast, his pace ungodly
Soon we were both approaching our highs as Charles’s thrusts started to turn sloppy
“Agh I’m gonna cum!”
“Me too baby”
With one final thrust he came inside my pussy ass I came around his cock
We both laid on the couch next to eachother, exhausted
“I love you so much”
“I love you too but we should probably get out of here the paddock’s going to close soon”
With that we both got dressed and walked out of the paddock hand in hand

Monaco Mayhem - Charles Leclerc x Reader
Plot: Charles finally breaks the dreadful Monaco curse to bring a home race win!
In 2018 Charles was unlucky in Monaco, a virtual safety car came out on lap 73 when his left front brake disc failed just before the Nouvelle Chicane, causing him to crash into the back of Brendon Hartley.
In 2019 the ‘curse’ continued even though he was now in Ferrari, after a rough qualifying he began to fight through the field after starting in 15th place. You were so happy watching him having made it up to 12th by lap eight, but touched the inside wall at turn 17 during an overtake attempt on Nico Hülkenberg, which is always a risky move in Monaco. This contact caused a right-rear tyre puncture. Over the course of the next lap, you had watched, tears in your eyes for your boyfriend as he fell to last place as his tyre ripped apart and caused significant damage to the car's floor, causing him to be a while lap down by the time he came out of the pits.
In 2020, due to COVID restriction your boyfriend and the other 19 drivers weren’t racing on the historic circuit due to the strict regulations in place.
In 2021, first time in Monaco since COVID and the curse was still in place. After an incredible qualifying Charles was sitting in pole position. You both celebrated that night, so excited for the Sunday race. However whatever gods were watching over Monaco … or Charles or the ones who supported Max in getting his first world championship worked overtime that night, as Charles had a Did Not Start due to a driveshaft problem.
In 2022 it was the first year that you and Charles started having proper relationship issues. You’d just had a huge deal at work, which meant you weren’t able to come to as many races as you had been in previous years (where you basically went to all of them except a few that clashed with your schedule) and he was for the first time leading the drivers world championship, ahead of last year’s champion, Max. You were both stressed, and not around each other enough and it put a huge strain on your relationship.
However, you made sure to be at Monaco despite your huge argument at the last race in Spain.
He qualified on pole for the second year running and you were beaming for the hills. You were praying that nothing happened to the car overnight or in the race. However you clearly didn’t pray hard enough, with the shit show that came from team order.
Is it to pit or not too pit …
Well nobody fucking knew and you could hear over the radio how frustrating it was for Charles when he and Sainz ended up pitting at the same time due to miscommunication on the Ferrari pit wall.
This caused delays meaning both Verstappen and Perez got out ahead of them and left Charles not even on the podium.
In 2023, you and Charles had started communicating a lot better towards the end of the 2022 season and were a lot better off for it, meaning your relationship was never better despite Max’s (and Red Bulls) clear domination this season.
Monaco again was disappointing. But it was a hard race.
2023 despite being a uneventful year in Formula One, Charles had proposed to you, and you were set to get married after the Monaco Grand Prix of 2024, as there was a little bit of time before Canada to have the ceremony with some of Charles closest friends and family, who had tight and busy schedules.
So here you were waiting as Charlie, your fiancé … soon to be husband is sat in P1, Oscar … his son who you’d both famously adopted this weekend right next him.
You were nervous through the whole race despite how dull the race was. You were sat with Charles family, hugging Arthur from one side and Pascale from the other as you gasp at a tight corner that Charles got a little close for comfort over.
You were praying for your boyfriend to finally get his home race win and kiss the curse goodbye that had been held over his head for the last 5 years.
Tears are streaming down your eyes as you hear his race engineers comforting words in the last few laps where he’d made a pretty strong gap to the person behind him.
All of Ferrari was hyped for the man that had been with them for the last few years and had all developed strong bonds with the driver. They watched on as he completed his last laps, no errors to be seen. When he crosses the chequered flag, your launching yourself at anyone you can, not caring that you definitely resemble a watering can right now to the Sky Sports camera that you just know will be on you.
Your celebrating with the team who eventually drag you out to the park ferme area to go see him. And when you do, my god he looks ethereal. The sweat sheening around him, and how his hair still managed to look as though it had been styled by his mum this morning.
He was immaculate in your eyes. He celebrated with the team, hugging Carlos and Oscar, before settling his eyes on you.
“This one was for you, my love” he whispers in your ear lifting your up into a hug, a blush coating your face making you dive you head into his neck away from the faces and camera.
“I’m so so proud of you, you finally did it. I don’t even think you’ve just made every resident of Monaco happy but everyone watching was routing for you!” You smile before pulling him into a kiss.
“I love you so much, I - I can’t believe this feeling right now! I -“ he breathes struggling to find the words.
“Go get that P1 trophy … Mr Leclerc” you grin and he smiles back, a goofy expression on his face.
“And will Mrs Leclerc be watching …” he grins back and you can’t help but laugh.
“Still Miss Y/L/N until tomorrow honey” you smile and start to push him further away to where he’s being heckled over by Martin Brundle for his post race interview.
And you keep to your word, you watch with tears in your eyes as you hear the Monacan National anthem for the first time at an F1 race since 2022 and the way Charles looks in that podium is a real sight to see.
You know the photographers are rubbing their hands and licking their lips as they take the pictures right now knowing just how much cash they’ll get for these photos.
You watch on as he dedicates his trophy down to you, kissing it and then blowing you as kiss making you catch it and place it in your cheeks. (Once you just rolled your eyes at his childish antics … let’s just say you never ever missed an kiss again).
Later that night and you were celebrating his win with all of his and your friends. Lando, Pierre, Carlos and Max were all there with their partners who you were very close with, and later on you were joined by Oscar and Daniel and their girlfriends.
It was a full atmosphere with everyone coming up and congratulating him not only on the win, but wishing him luck and sending their congratulations for the wedding tomorrow. Two cakes were brought out … one for the win, one as a little preemptive wedding cake got tomorrow.
“Wait Y/N, Charles do you have separate parties before tomorrow?” Kika says shouting out over the loud music sounding around.
“What do you mean?” You ask her confused only for everyone to gasp.
“You mean to say you don’t have a bachelorette party, or Charles doesn’t have a stag due? I just thought i didn’t get an invite” Lando says a hand against his chest happy that he didn’t get left out.
“No?” You laugh, not seeing the big deal with it.
“Oh come on, it’s your last time to party single!” Rebecca laughs, shaking your shoulders a little.
“What?! I’m not single though, Charles is my fiancé. It would just be the last time to party when I’m not fully tied down, but … I mean it’s not like after we marry we’ll become an old couple that doesn’t come out with us” you offer and they all look at you.
“Do you see Sergio or K-Mag here? Or any of the married lot, even George and Alex bailed on tonight to be with their girls … you guys are next” Daniel argues and you and Charles look between each other in shock.
“Oh come on guys, we aren’t going to be like that” you whine.
After some more back and forth of arguing you guys all decide on some more drinks, but you Ane Charles have a wordless agreement that you wouldn’t become THAT couple after marriage.
You guys would still be fun right?

taglist: @thissaintjessi. @cherryblossombankai , @thestarsystemsworld, @pixelcafe-network
The way he looks at you, you swear you’re about to combust. He rarely gives you this kind of look when you’re in public. Especially not while he’s out accepting an award. You look at him with a similar look. It’s the kind of look that says, “I’m going to fuck your brains out when we get home." The only issue is that the public doesn’t know that you two are together yet.
He’s so graceful with everything too. You’ve long admired this man for ages. He was your mentor; he helped you become the hero you are today. How many of these people know of his sacrifices to keep them safe? Do they know about his injury that has left him incapable of keeping his form for very long?
Or are your eyes the only ones who get to see the beautiful Toshinori Yagi in the way he’s meant to be looked at?
“I couldn’t have gotten this far without my supporters, fans, and of course, my wonderful colleagues! I am your Symbol of Peace, but please trust me when I say that a hero is nothing without his fellow heroes.”
The crowd erupts in cheers. You smile as you look at him from your spot on the side of the stage. Your hero costume feels heavy on your body. Toshinori seems to be really enjoying seeing you in it. It’s been a while since he’s seen you up close in your hero costume. And he just keeps giving you that look, in such a sly way too.
He answers a few questions, and your heart races in your chest when he’s asked about his love life. He doesn’t dare look at you this time. You had both decided to wait to make this official in the public eye. He just laughs heartily as always.
“There may be someone in my life who I’ve always admired, but I can’t give any more details than that.”
The crowd begins speculating. You love the way they eat up every single word he says. You watch as a few other heroes step up to the podium to answer some questions as well. As per usual, you do not miss the way Endeavor glares at your lover.
Trying to sneak off backstage, you’re stopped by Mt. Lady. She smirks at you, clearly wanting to share some juicy gossip with you. You follow her towards the small sitting area rustled up for heroes who weren’t going to be interviewed during this award ceremony.
“Did you hear that?! All Might has a lover!” She says, her eyes wide.
You laugh, “I sure did. I wonder though... someone he’s admired for a long time...”
She begins talking your ear off, trying to think of the right person that fits the bill. You wish you could tell her the truth, but you promised you wouldn’t say anything to any of your colleagues. It would be something you both do together as a couple.
“I mean, I think he had something with Sir Nighteye.” This makes you laugh.
“Oh definitely,” you nod your head. “Those two were as thick as thieves. They were probably in a secret relationship.”
This was something you had been thinking about lately. Who were the people that Toshinori had dated before you? You weren’t jealous. In fact, you were more than curious. You tried to pry the information out of your lover, but you never had a good chance to do so.
“A secret relationship? That sounds like All Might.” Yu chatted with you. She seemed to be even more interested in the subject than you previously thought.
“Of course. It’s totally him. That man keeps everything private.”
Then she turns to look at you, and she notices the way you’re smirking. "Hey, he did give you quite the look during his speech.”
Your heart drops, and you try to laugh it off. She smirks, but her attention is thankfully taken off of you when Shinji Nishiya walks into the backstage area. You knew those two had a decently close relationship when Mt. Lady ruined Kamui Woods debut as a hero.
“Hey Shinji! Do you think All Might is in a secret relationship? We think he was together with Sir Nighteye…”
The two of them gossip while you watch the line of pro heroes coming to the backstage area. You’re waiting for him, of course. He’d probably be one of the last ones to enter the backstage area. You try not to make it obvious that you are indeed waiting for All Might considering you think Mt. Lady might think you two are seeing each other.
He enters the area, giving you a ‘blink-and-you’ll-miss-it’ type of look. You try to busy yourself with talking to the other pro heroes, but you desperately want to go home with the man of the hour. This is when you catch the angry look of Enji Todoroki, and you’re so quick to avert your gaze.
The rain begins to fall on the tent you’re all sitting in. It was supposed to be an award ceremony and a glorified mingling session for the pro heroes, but with the rain coming down, people were starting to want to head to dryer places to be able to mingle. You try to keep an eye on your lover while still trying to maintain a comfortable distance.
“Say,” Yu leans in to talk to you once more. “Want to come to the restaurant with a few of us?”
You shrug, “Yeah! Sounds like fun. Wanna give me some time to get into something more suited for the restaurant?”
“Sure thing! Let’s meet outside of the restaurant in an hour.”
You agree on the time and place, then you’re making your way out of the tent. After a few minutes, you feel someone following you. When you peek behind yourself and see your lover, your heart begins racing. He winks at you and nods. You know better than to immediately go to him while the press is still around.
This ends up with the two of you finding shelter in a makeshift tent nearby for the camera and electrical equipment. You’re both a little damp from the rainfall. It only made things between you both even hotter.
Toshinori looks at you like he wants to devour you. He knows he’ll have more time to take you later, but right now he needs something quick. The man growls as he picks you up and begins kissing you hungrily. His tongue penetrates your mouth, wrestling and tangling with yours.
You hold onto him, loving the way the spandex of his suit was clinging to his muscles right now. The rain had only done you favors, really. Toshinori smirks when he pulls away from the kiss.
“We gotta make this quick,” you whine. “I have to be at the restaurant in different attire in less than an hour.”
“You too, huh?” He laughs softly.
It takes very little for him to undo your hero costume, stripping it off your body. You were well aware that anyone could catch you two, but you didn’t care. Even if this was how you two would show the world you were together, it didn’t matter. All that mattered was feeling him fill you up.
“I need to prepare you,” he grunts in your ear. He sucks on two of his fingers, then he eagerly uses them to stretch open your little hole.
Your breathing became uneven, and you had to lean on him because you absolutely didn’t trust your legs right now. Toshi takes little time to begin fucking you with his thick fingers. You were pretty used to him being in his true form, so for you to feel this stretch was quite a nice change of pace as well.
“Poor little girl,” he smirks as he watches you rely on him to keep you upright. “You’ve been missing daddy’s cock.”
You can’t even argue with this. He’s been quite busy lately, so it’s been a while since either of you could have some alone time. You missed the way he stimulated you, and you definitely were missing the sex and intimacy.
Toshi pumps his fingers deeper and harder in your pussy until you’re dripping all over his hand. He pulls it from you, making you whine at the loss of contact. It’s quickly replaced with a muffled moan as he spears you onto his length. You barely realized when he undressed himself.
“Gotta be quiet, baby.” He moans in your ear as he begins to pick up his pace. “We don’t wanna be caught like this.”
You lean against him, nuzzling against his muscular chest and biting down whenever the pleasure gets too good. He’s hitting spots deep inside of you that have you seeing stars. Toshinori laughs softly at the way you’re just a moaning mess now.
“Look at you,” he coos. “Already this fucked out on daddy’s cock, huh? What a good girl.”
You nod eagerly, biting down on his chest once more when he slams you down on him. He continues to fuck you like this, making the pleasure bubble deep inside of you. The knot in your tummy was about to unravel, especially if he was going to continue slamming right up against that sweet spot. You try to tell him you're close, but you can barely get the words out.
"T-Toshi,” you whine. “C-cumming.”
He laughs once more, loving the way he can just reduce you to this fucked out little lover. It boosts his ego when he knows he’s the one that can make you feel this way. You, this up-and-coming hero who’s got her career ahead of her and him, this washed out beloved older hero... it’s just the match made in heaven.
Your walls begin pulsating around him as you bite down hard on his pec. You’re going to leave a mark, that was for sure. When you manage to catch your breath after such an intense orgasm, you rest your head on his chest and look up at him with all the love in your eyes.
“Oh fuck,” he grunts. “When you look at me like that, princess, you make it hard for me to last much longer.”
You don’t stop giving him that lovesick look. Toshinori grits his teeth as he begins to pump you full of his thick seed. Slowly, he lowers you down on your shaky legs after he manages to come down from his high. He helps you back into your hero costume, smirking when he thinks about how his seed is going to be dripping from your abused cunt.
Then, with a long and passionate kiss, Toshinori guides you out of the tent. He winks at you before you two part ways.
“See you at the restaurant, Powerhouse.”

First Win (Lando Norris)
ngl, he's not one of my favorite drivers, but it's always amazing and emotional seeing a driver first win, so enjoy this
You and Lando met each other since you were toddlers because you were neighbors, practically growing up together and accompanying each other during your accomplishments, and during teenage years that evolved into a romantic relationship
Being with Lando since his days in karting and step into step to Formula 1 was a privilege because you were first in line to see his evolution as a driver, his ups and downs, his podiums, his crashes, etc
Going to the Miami Grand Prix this year, you felt a different feeling to the other races, feeling that you shared with Lando while helping him cure his nose after the injury on Amsterdam
"Miami feels different this year", you said cleaning his injury with alcohol
"Really? How?", Lando asked trying to stay quiet
"I don't know, I feel like McLaren is going to do well, you know, with the upgrades and that", you shrudded putting a bandaid on his nose, "Probaly a win"
"From Oscar or Bianca?"
"Or you"
Turns up, that your feeling was right, because not only Bianca got second place in the F1 Academy race, Lando was leading the race, which made you a wreck of nerves, especially because Max was chasing him
"Girl, I'm freaking out", you said to Bianca who was next to you, "I'm about to go hide in his drivers room and got out until the race is finished"
"You need to stay here", Bianca responded hugging you so you don't go, "It's only three laps to go"
Holding into her, both of you watched the race as the last lap started, at what the mechanics and engineers ran to the pit lane, at what you and Bianca also did but standing at the sides
When Lando crossed the checkered flag, you were the first to jump and scream for him, even crying of how proud you were of him, and your tears kept falling from your eyes when you saw his car stopping in the first place spot and seeing him celebrate with his team, until he saw you at the sides with your team supporting outfit you choose for the race, that he ran towards you hugging you and lifting you up from the floor, which caused you to circle his waist with your legs
"You did it! I'm so fucking proud of you", you said with your head in his neck
"You were so right about that feeling", Lando smiled kissing your temple, "I'm so happy that you're here with me"
"Do you think you can skip the parties tonight so we can have our own?", you asked him in his ear
"I see what I can do", Lando responded turning his face to kiss you
After practically being separated because of the podium ceremony, you watched with pride how he recieved his first place trophy with tears in your eyes, not noticing the F1 cameras filming your reaction, which ended up being viral on the internet

f1wagsgossip: Spotted! 👀 Amelie made her return to the paddock at the Mexican Grand Prix this Sunday, and it’s her first GP as an official WAG! 😍 This marks her first appearance since Miami earlier this year. The big question is: will she still be repping the Red Bull garage alongside her brother-in-law Checo, or has her heart turned papaya-orange? 🧡

Lando Norris is trough to second place
Amelie squeezed Lily's hand tightly as she saw Lando pass Charles on the track, her heart racing with each passing moment. The roar of the crowd echoed through the McLaren garage, but all Amelie could focus on was Lando, the blur of orange and blue in front of her. It felt like the entire world had paused for just a second, and then it all came rushing back—this was his race, and it was her home race.
Lily, standing beside her, gave her a quick smile of encouragement, but Amelie could barely hold back the emotion bubbling up inside. The tension in the air was palpable, the McLaren team watching every move on the screen with bated breath. Amelie had her own headset on, her fingers tightly gripping Lily’s, as she could hear every word Lando spoke to his team. The communication between him and his engineers was almost inaudible under the deafening noise of the crowd, but the excitement was infectious.
—Come on, come on, Lando,— she whispered under her breath, watching him inch closer to the finish line.
Amelie’s heart soared as he held onto second place through the final laps, the tires of his McLaren gripping the tarmac like they were made for this moment. The finish line loomed closer, and with one final push, Lando crossed it in second place.
The entire McLaren garage erupted into cheers, but the moment Amelie’s eyes locked with his on the screen, she couldn’t hold back the tears. The tears were a mix of pride, joy, and the relief of having seen him succeed, but also the weight of the fact that this race meant so much more to her—it was her home race.
Lily immediately wrapped her arms around Amelie, pulling her into a tight hug as Amelie’s tears fell freely. The raw emotion hit harder than she expected.
The McLaren team’s energy shifted from euphoria to urgency, ready to rush to the podium for the celebration. They had all known the stakes, and this was a monumental moment. Amelie wiped her eyes quickly, composing herself as best she could. She squeezed Lily’s hand again, knowing she’d been with her through every twist of this journey. The thought of Lando on the podium, knowing how much he wanted this, was enough to bring her back to the present. She had to be there for him.
In an instant, the McLaren team was making their way toward the podium, but Amelie’s legs moved faster than she could have imagined. She could see Lando already making his way to the top step of the podium, his eyes scanning the crowd. The team was already shouting at him from below, gesturing up to where Amelie stood, standing proudly above the sea of cheering fans.
Lando’s eyes flickered upward at the commotion, and then he saw her. For a split second, everything else faded. In that crowd, in that moment, it was only her—Amelie. His eyes softened, his smile widening as he gave her a subtle, almost imperceptible nod from his spot on the podium.
Amelie’s heart swelled, her hands trembling as she waved back, her eyes never leaving his. The entire stadium around them blurred, the sound fading as the world outside of Lando and herself fell away. She had never been prouder of him, even if this wasn’t the top step.
The podium celebration was surreal, a whirlwind of noise, confetti, and photographers. But amidst the chaos, Lando’s gaze never strayed far from Amelie, even as Carlos and Charles playfully shoved him, teasing him for looking so distracted.
After the chaos of the podium celebrations, Amelie made her way through the crowded McLaren hub, her chest tight with emotion. She could feel the adrenaline still buzzing through her veins, the echoes of the crowd and the flashing cameras fading as she neared the team’s private area. There he was, standing by the door, still beaming with that infectious smile of his. Lando looked up, and their eyes locked—there was no need for words.
She rushed into his arms, and for a moment, everything else faded. It was just them, standing together after the whirlwind of the race. She pressed herself against him, feeling his warmth, his heartbeat matching the frantic rhythm of her own.
—You did it,— Amelie whispered, her voice thick with emotion as she pulled back just enough to look at him. —You were amazing.
Lando chuckled softly, his hands brushing through her hair as he looked down at her. —I had to. It was your home race, after all. Couldn’t let you down, could I?— He leaned in, pressing a soft kiss to her forehead.
—No, you didn’t,— Amelie murmured, smiling up at him, but then her lips curved into a teasing grin. —But if you ever do, I’ll just have to make sure you never get a good night’s sleep again.
Lando’s eyes sparkled with mischief. —Is that so?— He leaned in closer, his lips brushing against her ear. —I guess I better behave, then. Wouldn’t want to lose sleep because of you, love.—
Amelie’s heart skipped a beat as he whispered sweet things, but his jokes always kept the mood light, even when the stakes were high.
—You know I’m so in love with you, right?— Lando said, his voice lowering, teasing her gently as his thumb traced circles on the back of her hand.
Amelie laughed softly, squeezing his hand. —I think you’ve made that pretty clear, Lan.—
Lando smiled at her, but there was something in his eyes that softened his usual teasing. —Good, because I’m really proud of you. You always seem to know just when I need a little reminder that I’m not in this alone.—
Amelie smiled, brushing a strand of hair behind her ear. —I’ll always be here, Lan. You’ve got me.—
Their moment was interrupted by a voice from behind them—Manu. He was grinning, hands on his hips, and shaking his head in amusement. —Alright, alright, we get it. You two are in love. Can we move on to the party now? We’ve got some celebrating to do!—
Lando laughed, throwing his arm around Amelie’s shoulders as they turned to face Manu. —Guess we’re not so subtle, huh?— he said, still holding onto her.
Amelie grinned, feeling a lightness in her chest that only Lando seemed to bring. —Guess not, but I’m not complaining,— she teased.
Lando chuckled and kissed the top of Amelie’s head before they followed Manu, their laughter filling the air as they made their way toward the party. The atmosphere was electric, the music was loud, and the buzz of excitement was palpable as some others drivers clinked glasses and danced. Amelie, still holding Lando's hand, felt a giddiness that came with having him by her side, especially after such a tense and emotional race.
Lando, his eyes full of mischief, leaned in closer to her ear. —I think I deserve more than just a kiss for that second place. Maybe a whole celebration, just the two of us?— He winked, his playful tone sending a shiver down her spine.
Amelie raised an eyebrow, smirking. —Oh? You think that second place was enough for me to throw you a private party?— she teased, her voice dripping with flirtation.
Lando chuckled, his hands never leaving her as they navigated through the crowd. —Maybe not enough, but it’s a damn good start.— He spun her around gently, pulling her close again, his lips grazing her neck as the music thumped around them.
The warmth of the party surrounded them as the laughter of friends and teammates filled the air. Lando’s playful gestures only seemed to heighten the tension between them, and Amelie could feel the spark igniting with each flirtatious whisper, each teasing touch. They both knew the clock was ticking on their time together, and neither of them wanted to waste a second.
As they danced through the crowd, Lando's hands never strayed far from Amelie. She could feel his touch lingering on the small of her back as he pulled her in closer, his lips grazing her skin every now and then as he whispered sweet things in her ear. It was a dance between playfulness and something deeper—a magnetic force drawing them together, impossible to ignore.
—You really know how to drive me crazy, you know that?— Amelie teased, her voice barely audible over the thumping bass.
Lando grinned, a mischievous glint in his eyes. —I think you're the one doing the driving, love,— he teased back, his thumb caressing the back of her hand.
They continued to move in sync with the music, their bodies close and their chemistry undeniable. The night had only just begun, but Amelie could feel the heat between them intensifying. Lando’s breath was warm on her neck as he leaned in, pressing his lips gently against her skin.
—You’ve got no idea how badly I want to take you somewhere quiet, away from all these people,— Lando murmured, his voice low and heated.
Amelie smiled, her heart racing, but she wasn’t ready to let the night end just yet. —Patience, Lan. We’ve got all night, right?— she teased, pulling him closer for a brief but heated kiss.
Lando’s eyes darkened with desire, and for a moment, the world around them disappeared. The crowd, the lights, everything blurred as they stood there, lost in the moment. But reality quickly reminded them of the time. Amelie had a flight to catch in the morning, and Lando had a race in Brazil to prepare for. They had one more night together before they would have to say goodbye, and neither of them was willing to let it slip away.
As they pulled apart, Amelie took a deep breath, her chest rising and falling with the adrenaline of the night. Lando’s hand found hers again, squeezing it gently.
—Let’s not waste a single minute of tonight,— he whispered, a grin spreading across his face as he led her out of the party and towards a quieter corner, the promise of more to come hanging in the air.
They walked together, hand in hand, their laughter echoing as they disappeared into the night, both eager to make the most of their last moments before the distance of the coming days would pull them apart once again.

the thought of gf or wife tashi who just won the olympic games and got a gold medal and the first thing she does is immediately run to you 😣😣
HI SORRY THIS TOOK A WHILE its tashi so i wanted to write it well :')
being tashi's girl meant sitting front in all her games, kissing her good luck before she steps out onto the court. each game is always filled with tension, keeping you on the edge of your seat but your faith in her never wavered. perhaps that's what kept her going, your unconditional support in her and her abilities and so every single time she scores the final point, her eyes immediately searches for yours.
and when she spots you, it's like everything faded away. she would speed past her team, past all the reporters wanting an interview with her, to jump over the barrier and pull you into an embrace. and you'd stand there with your arms wide open, a proud smile adorning your face. 'you did it, bug. i'm so proud of you'
this became such a significant part in her routine, to the point that everyone in the crowd anticipates her win so they can witness your sweet little scene. so of course, there were no exceptions when she won the olympics. in fact, it was much more special because it was more than just an achievement, it was a testament to every moment you've spent together. a testament to your love.
as soon as the umpire announced her victory, forget all the cameras and eyes on her, she's only focused on you. with the biggest smile on both your faces, meeting each other halfway. 'i love you, you did it' you're most definitely going viral after this.
during the medal ceremony, she's giddy and bouncing on her feet on the podium. her eyes sparkling as brightly as the new diamond ring on her finger, a symbol of the journey you shared and a promise of forever. even with the medal hanging around her neck, your love felt like the greatest triumph of all.

This is totally a lack of respect on Lando's part, especially towards someone who is supposed to be his "friend". We see the difference in mentality between him and Charles. At Imola, when the fans chanted his name throughout the podium ceremony, Charles didn't make a single gesture. He was respectful towards max even though it was madness
Yeah, I've always had an issue with people being disrespectful during national anthems, no matter the setting. It costs you absolutely nothing to keep your mouth shut and stand still those few seconds it lasts. Sometimes Lando's immaturity really shines through, and that was one of those moments.
I'll never forget Charles motioning for the tifosi to stop booing Max during his interview at Monza last year, and it just shows the difference in levels of maturity.
I really, truly hope someone talked to Lando about it so he won’t do it again at a later date. It's just unnecessarily disrespectful and tasteless.

OK spoilery follow up to my last post on Somewhere Beyond the Sea- you have been warned!!
First off- I must admit that it was, quite genuinely, not until I read the acknowledgements that I realized that Janine Rowder is a stand-in for JK Rowling. I swear I use my brain sometimes, I just have a tendency to turn off the analytical part while I’m consuming media I’m enjoying.
Relatedly, I absolutely love TJ for not holding anything back at the end and calling JKR the fuck out, and calling himself the Anti-JKR; and as well for dedicating the book to the trans community.
It’s been a while since I read THITCS, so it took me a sec to remember everyone and everything, but omg still like Linus proposing to Arthur so quickly- 😭 my boy has come so far in his character development. And oh my god their wedding scene in the epilogue was so well done and so beautiful; it has that classic TJ Klune humor and I love the way the kids just ignore ceremony and tackle Arthur once he walks up to the podium.
The epilogue as a whole was so well-done, I love to see Marsyas blooming as a haven for magical folk and all people who see their vision, it works beautifully with the allegories for queerness and other oppressed minorities represented by magical people in this series; it reminds the reader that in hope there in strength, and we too can overcome and pave the path towards a better world.
And god, Arthur’s progress in this book was so good to watch unfold. For all the work and healing and processing he’d already done, there was much left to be done (and still is), and the way he (and the other grownups) not only helps the children, but they help him in turn is really well done; for example, Phee asking him to fly with her as the Phoenix, and everyone (Linus, Lucy) caring for him and helping him during and after his breakdown after hearing Marblemaw talking to Rowder on the beach. The amount of love, in small displays and great, is incredible in this book.
And Lucy, omg, I love him so much, his growth, too, is amazing to witness and he’s just so adorable, latching on to Linus and not wanting to go down after being picked up 😭
And I’ve kinda mentioned this before, but the ways in which the children begin to establish and express their autonomy is so well done, especially with Sal’s growth as a person. From being reserved and unspeaking (at least to those he’s not comfy with) due to trauma inflicted on him, to a brave teenager who will stand up for his siblings and make sure even his own fathers know when they’re wrong or don’t have the same perspective he or the kids in general do (e.g. the intersection of his identities as being both a magical person and a Black person, a perspective mainly limited to him (Zoe too, but also kinda not bc she hasn’t had as much interaction w humanity in the last… long while until recently)).
Such a great book
WAIT ZOE!! Omg I loved her arc and story in this book!! I love the way her character is done and how her status as protector of the island is highlighted and then it’s revealed that she is, in fact, Queen. It almost feels allegorical for how the movements and communities we have were built upon the work and literal ground of Black and Indigenous communities here in America (and especially Black trans folk!). Marsyas is her people’s land, and despite everything done to her and her family and people, she, with the help of her newfound allies, creates a new home for those who have been hurt and oppressed like her.
#somewhere beyond the sea#tj klune#the house in the cerulean sea#somewhere beyond the sea spoilers#thitcs#queer lit#queer media#god I still can’t believe I didn’t figure out that Jeanine Rowder = JKR#How do you spell her name? is it Janine or Jeanine? I think the latter?? idk help me#Linus and Arthur’s relationship makes me so happy btw#and Helen and Zoe omg#WAIT I FORGOT TO TALK ABOUT ZOE#there we go!
