i've talked about this before but my best friend is a classically trained pianist and has a really high level of music theory knowledge whereas i am obviously a big music fan but i have literally NO ability to understand music theory it's just incredibly difficult (read: impossible) for me to comprehend. so whenever she gets excited about a music thing she has to do a music theory 101 course and i just keep saying ok ❤️ yay ❤️ because i don't know what the hell she's talking about but we're both having fun in our own ways

#i think it's so sweet that she tries so hard to explain this stuff to me because to her it's info that she learned when she was 8 years old.#1 time she tried to break down villa rosie (her fav blur song) and explain why it's cool and i was like well i like when he says WO-OOO :)#eta: she just sent me the equivalent of 8 minutes of VMs to explain why happiness is a warm gun sounds like paranoid android #she gets fixated on specific songs and goes crazy researching and analyzing one single song for weeks/months at a time #so i've been learning about happiness is a warm gun a lot recently.#anyway i guess this explains why we're such good friends #text
